Default What's the point of morphing when you can take your weapons from Hammerspace?

Power Rangers Samurai related question.

In PRS, there are instances where the rangers can pull their Spin Swords from behind their backs unmorphed (Mia did this in one ep and the rangers do this in the opening titles). We also see them able to hand around their disks and use their Symbol Power unmorphed.

So, if you can still use your swords unmorphed, still summon your disks unmorphed and still use symbol power unmorphed, what's the point of morphing? I mean, is there anything that would prevent, say, Jayden from taking out his Spin Sword and red disk to make the Fire Smasher without morphing? Is there anything that would prevent the rangers from drawing the symbol to enlarge their Zords without morphing?

TL;DR? What's the point of morphing if you can still summon your weapons and use your attacks without needing to morph in the first place?

It provide extra protection and probably allows the rangers to use the full extent of their weapons power without getting hurt in the progress (such as when Jayden was training with the beetle disk)

Not all Ranger teams were capable of doing this Samurai was just a special case since they were seen training with their gear and therefore were capable of accessing them from the Hammerspace.

However in most cases morphing provides protection and may also boost their power at times.

Let's take a look and see what Rangers were capable of accessing their gear (Morphers excluded) from their Hammerspace, shall we?

Billy was able to access the Dragon Dagger even without him having the Green Power Coin and he also wasn't morphed.
Trey and Jason were both able to access the Golden Power Staff outside-of-morph
The Space Rangers were able to use the Astro Blasters outside-of-morph.
The Galaxy Rangers were able to use their Quasar Sabers outside-of-morph.
The Lightspeed Rangers were able to use their Rescue Blasters outside-of-morph.
The Time Force Rangers were able to use their Chrono Blasters outside-of-morph.
Quantum Ranger could access his Quantum Defender outside-of-morph if he wanted to but didn't do it much.
S.P.D. could access their Blasters outside-of-morph.
S.P.D. could access their cuffs outside-of-morph.
Shadow Ranger could access his Shadow Saber outside-of-morph.
Udonna could access her Snow Staff outside-of-morph.
Overdrive could access their Zip Shooters outside-of-morph.
Jungle Fury could access their main weapons (Bo, Nunchuk, Tonfa) outside-of-morph.

The Rangers are still normal humans sans the weapons. When the morph they have extra power and protection.

I always thought this didn't make sense. They shouldn't be able to access their weapons when they are unmorphed. Maybe its a Sentai thing.

It's not always a Sentai thing but in some cases it is. In Sentai the powers typically aren't seen as "powers" but as "tools."

I agree with you there since in most cases the Power Rangers are typically alien powers or special powers if you will.

I think the Samurai Rangers just had those abilities because they were Samurai. Just like the NS Rangers had abilities unmorphed due to their ninja training.
