There was no real way to use Rocky as Red. Since Jason and Rocky had the same costumes.

I never understood why Eric was in the team up in the first place. He wasn't a Real Ranger. And Carter said they were only looking for Red Rangers in a deleted scene where Max wanted to come.

You have a point VR Master but Rocky would have been given back his red Ninjetti Ranger and I do remember finding the deleted script online saying Max wanted to come unaware it was strictly red ranger business.

It would have been strange having them use the Ninja Suit since the Rangers never fought real monsters or generals with them for long. But I guess there are ways around this.

Yeah, there was a clip of the deleted scene too, provided by MR Aftershock.

BTW it was said by Amit's friends that he did want Eric in the team up all along.

that's correct as weird as it might be. Rocky was never going to take part in the battle if Jason was there in fact Rocky would've only taken part in the battle if Austin wasn't able to come back as Jason.

it's because they wanted to have 10 Rangers to represent the 10 seasons. Jason represented season one, they had no one to represent Season 2 since they had used the same suits but every other season they had a Red Ranger that they could try to get which is why they had wanted with going for the Quantum Ranger as a Red Ranger.

I think Eric is basically a Red Ranger without his own team. Biolabs would have reverse engineered the powers to make their own Quantum Team. Its likewise that Time Force would have done this themselves if the morpher wasn't lost in time.
