I'm not surprised. It was said repeatly by Burgandy Ranger that the diffinite count was 32. People were only dreaming when they thought it would change to 38.

2 eps to introduce the season
2 eps to end the season (my gut is telling me these will be the best two eps of the season)
2 eps for a team up
2 eps for the battlizer
2 eps for a flashback and another "Perspective"
2 eps for Robotapaloza obligatory Sentai footage use.

That leaves 20 eps to do something with, the surprise in PR now is how god awfully bad they will fuck those eps up.
