Whats the point of Keeper?
 

He is almost never around. And really Kendall acts more like the mentor than he does.

There was no point. The writers were just lazy and asked him for no reason.

I think we have to give it time. There is still plenty of time for Keeper to do more. Kendall and Keeper are like co-mentors. Keeper's role will expand over time. At least I would think that it would.

I like Keeper. He is pretty cool. I wonder what he did for 65 million years. That's a long time to be active. I like that Keeper seems like he can hold his own when confronted and is very wise.

right now it really seems like Keeper doesn't have much of a point to be around except to have an alien figure to explain how the Energems bonded with dinosaurs.

Keeper is there to explain the energem powers and give sage advice. Kendall is there for the tech and managing the Rangers. They seem to have a good cop/bad cop thing going on.

To insult are intelligence like anything in Power Rangers since Time Force. Really it feels like they don't even try anymore. Its a shame because PR was evolving into something special from Space- TF. They just devolved after that. Hopefully the movie franchise will breath new life into the franchise.

Keeper could very well be a sort of Obi-Wan style mentor. Remember how he just vanished in the episode with Tyler chasing Fury? Has he been seen since? (I've not yet seen Breaking Black). He could appear every so often to give advice and live within 'The Grid' sort of like The Force.

Thats and interesting idea. I'd compare him more to Yoda though. Yes , we just saw Keeper again last week.

There is no point to Keeper other than to waste space, money and time. Kendall could have easily been their Mentor but they needed an alien figure to explain how the Energems became bonded with dinosaurs.
