A way to use Zordon in new Movie
 

Maybe they could show him within the time warp itself through his point of view. Have one shot after Rita's return from behind to before you show the head in the tube. Then, have another if say, the Rangers split and you want shot conveying Zordon's solitude.

I really don't see the issue of a floating head in a tube being able to sell to an audience watching a Sci-Fi/Superhero movie in a world where a movie featuring a talking Racoon was able to become one of this year's highest grossing movies.

Seriously, Zordon's look doesn't need to change only improve with better CG.

That is an interesting idea since we never got to see Zordon inside the time warp that he was trapped in, just inside his plasma tube which was just a communication channel.
