I love the orginal series is Mobile Suit Gundam ie 1979 series as it was the first plus it has something for everyone forbidden romance, revenge, giant robots(chicks dig giant robots), and genocidal dicator.

I've gotta say..
I have been a Winger since it's debut on Toonami way-back-when. But the Wing series has been pushed out of the first slot for me.
Double 0 has so many layers, so many stories unfolding, so much intrigue and suspense..

This second season has pushed it over the top for me, it is officially my number 1 Gundam Series..

I think the next series is Gundam Unicorn and that takes place during the UC timeline

Well, I have to admit, I really didn't think I'd be liking 00 as much as I do but it's now one of my to fave Gundams, right up there with G and Seed. I wasn't into Gundam when Wing came out so I can't say really anything about it or anything before it.

It looks like another Universal Century pile of crap. (IMO)

I don't like the UC series, it's too much of 'we have to be so militarily correct that there's no plot, but weapons to defeat other weapons. So much so that we lose track of the damn plot!'.

00 and Wing just seemed to have more of a plot line. Rather than 'Eh, lets just shoot stuff..'.

That's my two cents..

I don't know what UC series you've been watching. The ones I've seen aren't like that.

True, that is the foundation of all of the Gundams present today. Mobile Suit Gundam is one of the revolutionary animes that made a lot of sequels and really awesome mecha fight scenes.

My favorite Gundam series is Gundam Wing. Of course I have seen other Gundam shows on Toonami.
