Story: There is a reason that you've never heard of us. Its because we don't exist, as far as you're concerned. We are invisible to the naked eye. Some people claim that they know who we are but all they can present is theories, no proof. We are the lost souls of the Earth, that protect it from the danger of forces that you once believed never existed. It's our job and for it, we have sacrificed our own lives. We were once normal people like you, but now we are nothing but shadows. Ghosts of our former selves. We can't live the lives that you so often take for granted. Because its our job to make sure you continue to live that life. Its the sacrifice we've made and we embrace it humbly. We have dedicated our lives to fighting a secret underground war against the forces of evil that are aided by the occult. How about you take a trip into our world.

Our legacy began in 1910, when the organization known as G.U.A.R.D.I.A.N.S.(Global Undercover Administration for Radical and Dangerous Individuals and Affairs of Necessary Secrecy) was secretly formed by the League of Nations. The GUARDIANS fought to keep the world safe from cults and organizations with more “firepower” than could be handled by an average espionage team. It wasn't until the team faced a critical failure in one of their missions, which resulted in several casualties, that the GUARDIANS was finally decommissioned, just before World War II.

Years after the war, the newly established United Nations found themselves in another predicament, forcing them to recommission the GUARDIANS with a brand new team to continue their efforts against supernaturally-aided forces. The team faced many roster changes over the years and by the early 2000's, a young former C.I.A. Agent named Adrian Graham joined the team.

In 2005, however, the team suffered another major attack that resulted in casualties but the mission that was being attempted succeeded. Unfortunately, one of the GUARDIANS turned against the team and became an enemy of the State. There was a debate at the U.N. about whether or not to decommission the team for good and over time, the entire team disbanded, which left the future of the GUARDIANS very grim.

In 2012, however, the former C.I.A. Agent, Adrian Graham, who was horrifically scarred in the betrayal of the GUARDIAN Operative, was eventually promoted to the rank of Colonel, giving him leeway to reform the GUARDIANS under his leadership. Approved by the U.N. 3 years later, Colonel Graham has proceeded to recruit the 3rd team of GUARDIANS that will dedicate their lives to fighting the supernatural forces invisible to the public eye.

We are a collection of government agents sent to go up against every dark force that plagues our great Earth. Its a classic story of David vs. Goliath. Our secretive tactics of taking down these evil forces has therefore, been dubbed by the U.N., Goliath Warfare. Are you ready to take down the giants?

Hello people. Goliath Warfare is the latest RPG by GPR/Onlyne Productions. In the game, you will be apart of an elite team of covert operatives that have left their lives behind in order to continue the battle against the occult forces that has been raging on for over 100 years. We will be facing countless enemies that have the potential to destroy all that we cherish in this world. With a collection of weapons at our disposal and the genius planning of Colonel Graham on our side, we have all that we need to bring these tyrants down. In the words of a wise man, Do what you're getting paid for. In this game, there is an element that allows the Operatives to record their thoughts on certain matters as they continue through their career, including their relationships with their fellow GUARDIANS and their thoughts on particular missions. Within each recorded journal, the Operatives will give a final farewell, on the off chance that they don't live to record the next journal. This is only a short interlude in your actual posts and will be explained in greater detail later, but the purpose of these journals is to document the activities of the GUARDIANS in order for it to be heard by future generations and effectively teach how to deal with enemies the way that the GUARDIANS did. It is also used to warn them not to repeat the mistakes made by the GUARDIANS that would lead to a failed mission. Its a learning process for everyone because no one knows what the future will hold. The only way that we can manage is by moving on and staying faithful to the only thing that counts in this world of espionage, violence, and war: the Mission.

GekiViper - When I first found out that your character was immortal, I was a little skeptical at first. But when I actually read your bio, it seems like it would be perfect for this group. It stands out from others being country and all and I think you would make a great pilot for the group. The only thing is that you have to be vulnerable in someway so I hope you know that. Maybe you could create a story arc for yourself where you come close to dying for good or something of that nature. Anyways your bio is really well done and you are definitely in.


I was actually shooting for Bluegrass from the SilverHawks, it's an older, late 70's cartoon. Anyhow..
The immortal thing, think of it like Captain Jack Harkness (Torchwood). Clayton is shot in the head. Right between the eyes. He dies on the spot, three days later, he wakes up, the wounds are healed.
If he is electrocuted, he dies, but 10 minutes later he wakes up again.

If a limb is removed, as long as the limb is placed against the limb it was severed from the limb will reattach itself. The same with his insides, like intestines, brains, eyeballs, that sort'a thing.

Apply the same physics to the situation that Wolverine deals with, if every living cell is gone, then Clayton is dead, for good.
But if say, a fingernail survives, in a few months that could grow back into Clayton's full form.

He does have a weakness, he can be killed in a nuclear fall out, microwaves, poison, bathed in acid until nothing's left but bones..

Well, thing is there were 6 specialties and 7 slots so there was only going to be one duplicate and that is currently Covert. However I have no doubt you will do well as an Infantry Trooper! Welcome to the game!

Yeah, Stone's probably going to try and get into your pants at some point.

It doesn't mean he has to succeed, mind you; just because he can charm most women doesn't mean you are necessarily in that category. Food for thought.

Also, Scarlet needs to come back at some point. I was going to have Stone's nemesis be Drew Ryan, actually, but I didn't know if a British spy could conceivably infiltrate an American government facility. Maybe Scarlet could be working for him or something?

That sounds like it could work Question. I figured that Scarlet would come back and Timothy would have to get his revenge against him. You can take whatever liberties you would like as far as that character goes, just make sure you let us know about changes you might make and stuff.

Your first posts should start out with you arriving at the docks to board the MS Valkyrie. You can have whatever fun you want before hand but ultimately, we'll all be meeting in the lounge. This is what it will look like.

Well we're supposed to have them already but if you want to get yours afterwords, you can. Since it wasn't explained in the bio, it looks like you should go that way.

No, if you look at the profiles you'll see that most of us already had our abillities before we joined Guardians. So if you want to say he already has his powers thats fine.

Okay guys, once Geki makes his post, things are going to get a little interesting but I don't want you to involve yourselves in the festivities automatically. I want you to finish up whatever activity you were undergoing beforehand. Once you've wrapped that up, then you can dive into the pool with the rest of us, so to speak.

I just needed to mention to you guys. The plasma television doesnt appear above the bar, it appears on a wall opposite the bar. It is a glass wall that lets you see out on the deck of the ship and stuff. Where they were, nobody could see the bartender shoot until they heard the cocking and the actual shot.

oohh...well that definitely would make it more unexpected to know the bartender had a shotgun. But since people have already posted the events after the bartender shot a round, would it really matter now?

Even if the television was in the wrong place, we can just figure that people with our level of skill would have picked up on it fairly quickly. The three of us at the bar, for instance, probably would have recognized the sound of a cocking rifle that sounded right behind us.

But I'll try to pay better attention in the future. Sorry.

Yeah its really not that big of a deal. I was just mentioning it because part of my next post was going to involve the glass wall and I wanted to make sure you guys knew where that was. But don't fret it guys, its nothing that caused great confusion or anything.

Since everyone but Stone has a power of some sort, can he get one later somehow?

Well not everyone has a power. My character just has an ailment and something to make up for it. But if you want one later, that would be cool. A suggestion from my end could be that you get bitten by a vampire or something. That's one of the easiest ways IMO, unless you want a chemical spill or experimentation or something within that nature.

One of the villains captures Stone, after watching him since the beginning.. The villains operates on Stone, merging his DNA with _____ and _____ creating the ultimate predator. All in the name of reigning in humanity from completely destroying the planet.
It's up to our team to stop the villain, save Stone, the animals, and the other experiments within the villain's lab.
Sound.. Sexy? Hm? Just a little bit?

I was just thinking something simple, like, at some point, Stone steals a mystical artifact from Drew/Scarlet/Whoever that gives him a "spider-sense", danger sense, something like that. Nothing huge, just something so he isn't just a normal human.

Well not everyone has a power. My character just has an ailment and something to make up for it.

He picked up both my character's nationality and the fact that he recently had intercourse with a boat employee from across the room. I'd call that a bit more than making up for an ailment. :p

(Although, while I'm thinking of it... Stone's an accomplished spy. Is everyone going to be able to tell he's a bit of a womanizer upon meeting him for the first time? Because a spy should be able to hide that a little better...)

My thoughts would be that he manifests his abilities at some point. Since most of our characters have, it shouldn't be impossible for Stone.

Alright guys we're reaching the next chapter of the story and at this point, everyone has done excellent. Very good job guys. Just one thing though, so you don't accuse me of taking you guys too far and not letting you do certain things for yourselves. It'd be alot better if you guys would recap in your posts recent things that have happened involving you, instead of just diving into the situation as soon as it starts. Some of you have already done this, but this helps us analyze what your character thinks about the situation and what they are going through. For example, some of you went straight into the action as soon as the chaos insued, while others wrapped up what went on before it, then let their character react to the power outage and the message, THEN get into the action. That's the kind of recapping that I was referring to. It helps us get your character's perspective on the situation. Just a suggestion for you guys as we start the next part.

I want you guys to have one more post before we move on to react to the defeat of the final behemoth and their last seconds of conciousness before being subdued by the Colonel.
