I originally wrote this fic back in Winter, 2008, but after re-reading it, I found where I went wrong and rewrote pretty much the entire first chapter, and added a second chapter to this four parter. I hope you appreciate the changes =)

This is a revamp of the MMPR movie. My writing style isn't the best and this is a FANFIC, so please be nice if you criticise xD. All comments are welcomed though, so please do comment if you read!

Backstory: Many years ago, a powerful being known as Ivan Ooze rose up to claim the galaxy as his own. His plans were to crush the innocent and mould the entire Universe into his own army that would do his bidding, day and night. The purple warrior traveled across the galaxy, claiming planets in his name and building his army along the way...Until one day, he met his match. A small planet known as Eltare fought back, using a special type of weapon that harnessed the energies of spiritual animals. Using the powers of these animals, they managed to fight back against Ivan, sending him hurdling into space in a weakened gas state that would take millions of years to reform. The animal energies were forged into 12 powerful coins that were given to the planets most respected elder...Dulcea, whom vowed to take the coins far away from Eltare and protect them for all eternity.

As the years passed, Dulcea became lonely and wrote back home. She was sent three children to raise and being a warrior, she was completely at a loss. Instead, she trained the three children to be strong fighters and decided that these would be the children to take her place when it was her time to die. The galaxy became a peaceful one and many years later, on a different planet..Zordon, an Eltarian himeself, chose six teenagers to protect their planet from the evil forces of Lord Zedd. The battles were tough but nothing compared to the one that was about to take place...Ivan Ooze, in the darkness of space had reformed quicker than expected and intended to finish his plan to rule the Universe with more brutality than ever before...

This is the beginning of The Power Chronicles!

Character name: Ava Hart
Age: 17
Ranger role: Pink Ranger

Hobbies/Personality: Not the brainiest of people, but still rather smart. Ava is an incredible gamer and goes by the name of "LittleMissKickUrAss" whenever she gets a high score as she doesn't want her cheer squad to find out about it...Especially Kiara, the captain as she'd ruin her life if she found out. Ava has a close friendship with Myles due to their interest in gaming and she regularly bails him out from bullies. She is currently dating rising baseball star, Sebastian Oliver, though she finds less and less to talk with him about daily.

Character name: Myles Cranston
Age: 17
Ranger role: Blue Ranger

Hobbies/Personality: Myles is a GENIUS with a problem...He has a rare brain disease that is slowly reducing his memory capacity and has been told that by the time he reaches 21, he may lose his long term memory completely. As a result of this disease, Myles has to repeat bits of information that he is aware of to attempt to expand his memory...This usually pisses off whoever he is around, but Myles doesn't care. He has a huge crush on Ava and despises Sebastian.

Character name: Jaden DeSantos
Age: 18
Ranger role: Red Ranger

Hobbies/Personality: Not a leader by nature, but is very accepting as his role as red ranger. Jaden is extremely sporty and prefers to stay out of any sort of conflict. He is easy going and extremely witty at times. His love for baseball bonded him with his childhood friend Sebastian and although the two don't always see eye to eye, they manage to work things out in the end. When he isn't playing baseball, Jaden likes kick boxing at his dads gym but tries to avoid being there when his dad is around as he is pushed beyond his limits at times by him.

Character name: Aiden Park
Age: 18
Ranger role: Black Ranger

Hobbies/Personality: The more serious member of this group, Aiden likes to keep himself to himself with everyone else on the outside of the emotion barrier. When necessary, he is polite and curtious, but anyone can tell when this black ranger needs to be given some space. He was chosen by Zordon as second in command, due to his calm attitude towards battle, he is confident and shows it. When he isn't fighting Zedd's goons. Aiden likes to weave around the group, joining in whatever activities they do, which is usually video games, martial arts or baseball. His personal hobby is model building, but he'll never let anyone know of that one.

Character name: Sebastian 'Seb' Oliver
Age: 17
Ranger role: Green Ranger

Hobbies/Personality: Despite being the last ranger to join the team, Sebastian managed to fit in extremely well, gaining himself a girlfriend, a rival and a best friend all in one lovely little package. He comes across as extremely arrogant and jock-like to those that don't know him, but for the few that have seen him in his home setting, helping his mother cooking and playing with his brothers in the yard...They know that baseball star, Sebastian has alot more depth. He dislikes Myles due to the fear that Ava will one day see that he is a much better match for her than he is and so, he uses his cocky attitude as a front to intimidate the blue ranger.

Character name: Kiara Campbell
Age: 18
Ranger role: Yellow Ranger

Hobbies/Personality: Angel Grove's princess. Kiara's father is the mayor of Angel Grove, with her mother running an extremely successful line of bakeries that span across the entirety of California, though Kiara tells everyone that her mother owns a modeling agency to keep things under wraps for her popularity's sake. Kiara dislikes Ava's genuine beauty and the fact that she neglects to use it as an advantage the way she does, Ava was set to be captain of the cheer squad, but declined the position, leaving Kiara to take the job...Something that has always bugged her, being second choice. Despite being a handful at times, Kiara is a great asset to the team with her extreme agility and fighting skills.

Prologue: The desolate sky of Phaedos lit up with a tinge of purples and oranges, casting a sparkling glow over the plateau, on which a beautiful young warrior stood. Dulcea, guardian of the Ninjetti powers was meditating.

Her fingers suddenly exploded outwards, revealing her palms as three cloaked shadows dropped behind her. Cracking her knuckles, a smirk graced her beautiful face.

"Halea, dear, soften your stance" You will injure yourself if you fight when your body is so tense” Dulcea's melodic tone was filled with soothing reassurance.

The shorter female of the two apprentices gulped, but moved her her brown hair to one side as she pulled her hood up and adjusted her footing to follow instructions. "Yes, Dulcea”

As the three students looked back to Dulcea, they realised she had vanished. They had a perfect view of the gorgeous Neola Jungle. Miles upon miles of gorgeous trees of varying alien varieties painted a horizon of greens and blues, with the odd red from an early fall showing. The three stared down the jungle, but their minds were far from the beauty of nature right now.

"Where is she?" The only male of the group asked. His voice boomed an echo that made Halea hop back a little, despite living with Creus all her life, the purple Ninjetti was still terrified by him..

Without warning, Dulcea flickered in front of Creus, whirling her wooden staff around to hit him around the side of the head.

As quick as Creus blinked, Dulcea had vanished, as had the middle apprentice, Leala.

Several exploding sounds where heard before Dulcea reappeared, looking tired. Leala hopped down from wherever the battle had just taken place and dropped to her knees, her palms pressing a heavy amount of exhaustion into the plateau below her.

"Our master is growing old" Leala smirked, eyeing Halea to take a shot at the beautiful green warrior before the three of them.

Halea nodded without hesitation and leapt at Dulcea, shifting her position mid-air with deadly grace before planting a heavy kick against Dulcea's hands that had been held out to deflect such an attack.

The purple Ninjetti apprentice back flipped and tried spiralling around Dulcea's rebound attack but failed and was promptly knocked down onto her butt.

She whimpered slightly and curled into a ball by a nearby pile of firewood.

Creus laughed his booming, deep laugh before returning to his stance. Halea and Leala were out, which ruined his plans of getting in a strong blow whilst Dulcea was distracted.

He ran forwards, lifting one foot from the ground whilst shifting his right ankle to set him purposefully off balance. Creus' body span through the air and as he closed in on Dulcea, his strong fist propelled out at her.

As quick as Creus fist had broke the air between himself and his mistress, Dulcea has outstretched her arms, using his force against him and tossing him, easily over her head.

He crashed down into the pile of firewood, beside Halea.

The three students, all groaning in pain - bowed before their master and lowered their hoods which were attached to their Ninjetti garbs. Leala, adjusting her thick locks of Auburn hair was the first to speak.

"We're improving right?"

"Of course you are. All of you are" Dulcea aimed a purposeful, confidence boosting smile at Halea.

The family of warriors cast a glance towards the beautiful sunset of their home before each heading off to prepare dinner. Each of them working in comfortable silence as they reflected on their lives on the lonely planet.

As the remaining sparkles of the sun's gold pierced the trees, a sudden gust of purple-hazed wind blew out the fire that Creus had only just finished setting up. He cursed in an alien dialect before grabbing more wood, oblivious to the tense atmosphere that the gust of wind had bought with it.

"Anyone else smell that?" Leala's nose wrinkled up in disgust at the foul odour that had invaded the plateau.

Dulcea was now perched on the edge of the plateau. She seemed to be at peace, but abruptly whipped around looking at her three apprentices. "I need you to go".

"Go where?" Halea frowned

"Earth”

Dulcea held out a brown bag, it had a golden thread sealing it tightly shook and jingled as another wave of wind hit the plateau, hard this time.”Take the Ninjetti coins with you, please, be careful!"

The Ninjetti master turned back towards the jungle to see an incoming wave of purple electricity that exploded upon impact with any living object.

Creus grabbed a hold of Halea and began leading her away. Leala was still by Dulcea's side, holding onto her masters arm in panic.

"I-I-is it Ivan?" she managed to ask.

"That it is what I fear" Please, take your siblings, find Zordon, I have word that he resides on planet Earth now, be careful!”

Leala took the bag of Ninjetti coins from her master before vanishing in a swift dance of movements that even Dulcea couldn't follow right now.

"You will never get your hands on those coins, Ivan" Dulcea warned the purple smog before her.

It cackled manically before shifting its shape into a sharp attacking position and shooting at Dulcea.

A loud, piercing scream echoed throughout the planet Phaedos...And then...Silence.

Part 1: Welcome to Angel Grove

The glorious finale of the Summer heat-wave had injected teenagers in Angel Grove with an abundance of energy. The city streets were littered with adolescents in swimwear, heading for the lake, playing loud music with unidentifiable lyrics and generally enjoying the sun in any possible way.

But although the weather was perfect for the lake today, Ava Hart, had very different plans to the rest of her peers. She bopped down the clean white paths of Lincoln Avenue, one of the quieter neighbourhoods. Humming the ghost busters theme song that she had pinching her mind all week.

Her pink converse came to abrupt stop as she recognised the house to her right. It was a relatively small house, in comparison to the others on the street, the garden littered with tulips in quite possibly, every colour known to man, leading up to a bright white doorway that always looked freshly painted.

Ava's attention wasn't on the flowers today though, as she looked up to a small wooden window at the top of the house. She put her fingers to her mouth and whistled.

The window quickly opened as Myles Cranston stuck his head out. “Ava!” his grin made his cheeks squash up, instantly taking a good 7 years off, of his 17. “Be right down!”

Before Ava could respond, the window slammed shut and within seconds, Myles had stumbled out of his front door and avoided an attack from his step-mothers evil chihuahua, Bruno.

He hopped over the fence, barely dodging a snap from the small dog before wiping a line of sweat from his forehead. “That thing, should not be a pet” he finally spoke.

Ava laughed before reaching down and stroking the now, extremely relaxed dog. “Oh yes, a real terror, Myles”

“So, arcade?”

The pink ranger pulled away from the dog and adjusted her backpack. As she did this, Myles noticed that she was wearing her usual gaming disguise; worn-out pink converse, combined with a pair of outdated denim shorts that barely reached her knees, a pacman-print t-shirt and a lovely set of pink glasses.

“Jeez, Ava, do you have to wear the same, stereotypical stuff every week?”

She shrugged and adjusted her backpack. It was true, she dressed like this to avoid people noticing her at the arcade, but now that she thought about it, it was a little offensive to fellow gamers, even if the stereotype was pretty much correct – 99% of the time.

“Are we going, or should I change and take you shopping instead?”

Myles pretended to be disgusted, but truth be told, he loved every moment he could get with Ava – before she could be snapped up by her brickhead of a boyfriend.

The two linked arms and headed down the street, catching up on the recent goings on since the previous Saturday with barely a pause for breath. Best friends since Junior High...Of course, it was a secret friendship.

*** Command Centre ***

Illuminated tubes of glass flashed in neon colours, casting their glow on the circular shaped control panel that sat before Zordon. As a youth, he had travelled across the galaxy, enjoying its beauty and diversity, but now...He resided in a time warp, trapped in a battle between good and evil for the rest of eternity.

“Ay yi yi, Zordon” Alpha's child-like voice bounced from the walls of the command centre.

“What is it Alpha?” Zordon's voice was a booming, commanding tone. Contrasting that of his assistant, the Alpha 5 robot.

The glass globe in the centre of the room swirled with images of a foreign space-ship, it's destination flashed on the globe before it cut out, leaving it clear glass, as it once was.

“Unknown, alien life forms are heading for Earth”

This was nothing unusual, aliens had been coming to and from Earth for centuries, but something about Alpha's desperation to make Zordon aware of this visit made him anxious. He began to speak “Alpha, there is no need to-”

“There are three warriors aboard the ship, with active power coins” The robotic squeaked.

Zordon's eyes widened.

*** Juniper Arcade, Angel Grove ***

"Did you know that we have visited this place 103 times, 104 now in the past two years...Every Saturday, Ava"

“I know, but this game is really important to Sebastian” Ava's eyes were looking away from the arcade and towards the park that was just visible beyond the houses.

Myles sighed, they had received a call from the green ranger, with him begging Ava to come to a friendly game between the Angel Grove team and some kids from Stone Canyon.

“Do what you like”

The sudden snap from the Myles stung Ava enough to make her flinch, but rather than getting upset about it, she smiled. A wide, pearly-white grin that shown her scheming.

“Come to the game!” She said aloud.

“Ava-What?-No!” It's fine, I'm not going to be some charity case for you to escort around, just go watch the lizard play his game”

“It's the wizard” the pink ranger referred to Sebastian's nickname. It never made sense to her, but she thought it was cute that he had such a geeky nickname.

After 20 minutes of solid arguing, Ava had won with a promise to take Myles to the comic-con in San-Diego for his birthday. After that, she spent 5 minutes changing into a pink summer dress with white ballet-flats and then the 10 minute walk to the game talking non-stop about Sebastian's plans to take her to Hawaii.

By the time they reached the game, it had already heated up. With Sebastian and his best friend (and fellow ranger) Jaden forgetting about the game and just enjoying the crowds cheering.

Myles pulled his grey hood over his hair and pointed Ava in the direction of one of her friends that he could actually stand to be around.

Aiden Park had recently transferred from Stone Canyon and was in his second week of being black ranger. He and Myles had never spoken, mostly, because the black ranger was extremely shy unless it came to battle situations.

“Hey” Ava smiled and sat down, with Myles shuffling in uncomfortably to her left.

They watched Kiara Campbell screeching and squealing at the front of the stand. The yellow ranger was very good at keeping her relationship with the other rangers a complete secret...Sometimes, too good.

She quickly ran onto the field as the teams switched and handed Jaden a piece of paper. The jock in red said something to her that made her exit the field with a pout of thunder. “What are you looking at!?” she screamed at some unfortunate passer-by before dropping back down to the bench with her cheer buddies.

The game ended with a score that no-one was really aware of. Due to terrible score keeping and a hell-of-a lot of cheating.

Myles tensed up as Sebastian and Jaden, headed up the stand towards them. Seb was surely not going to be happy that he was here. As if working as his 'side kick' as a Power Ranger wasn't bad enough.

"Relax" Ava whispered to him as Sebastian came towards them. Jaden, as predicted was close behind, to keep his green friend in check.

"Hey babe" The couple kissed gently but as Ava pulled back, Sebastian made sure that their fingers interlocked, despite how uncomfortable it looked and felt.

Myles and Sebastian exchanged a daring look before they both broke into fake smiles.

"You have fun today, smiles?"

Jaden rolled his eyes at the juvenile nickname Sebastian had given the blue ranger and sat back on one of the benches.

"Does a macaca fascicularis like banana's?"

Ava giggled before promptly nudging Myles to give a straight answer to her extremely confused boyfriend.

"Yes, I had fun" Myles grunted

An uncomfortable silence followed until Jaden finally spoke up. "Say, Ava, you should join the next game...I'm sure you'd do much better than the 'WIZZAARRDDD' out there" he chuckled at his mockery of his friends nickname.

Seb rolled his eyes and nudged Jaden in the shoulder. "She'd show you a thing or two, that's for sure"

"Thanks, really...But I'd rather sit here and cheer" Ava dismissed the offer with a smile.

Jaden missed the response, as he looked over his shoulder to see Kiara smiling at him again, despite his recent rejection.

"Just take her for a smoothie, man" Sebastian saw through his friends thoughts.

"She's nice and all, but, dude, she has the depth of an empty shot glass"

"Hah, girls in Angel Grove lack any depth, my friend" the green ranger felt a burning pain in his hand and realized that Ava was squeezing the life out of it. "I'm kidding!"

An abrupt beeping sound from his wrist watch caused all of the rangers to look at each other with concern. It was time.

Sebastian looked troubled “Ahh, the teams want to go for a quick celebration drink at Ernie's...If we don't show-”

“You two go, the rest of us will handle it” Aiden spoke for the first time in over an hour.

The group nodded, and parted ways, with Kiara waiting until the last possible second before joining the three other rangers behind a block of nearby vending machines.

“How come they get to ditch?” she whined.

Aiden grunted and rolled his eyes before raising his wristwatch communicator to his mouth and speaking.

"Zordon, we read you"

The deep voice of their mentor came through in slight static, but the rangers understood him clearly.

“Goldar and Mortimor have invaded the lake and are building some sort of weapon, stop them at all costs, rangers. May the power protect you”

Before Aiden had lowered his wrist from his chest, Kiara, Ava and Myles already had their uniquely coloured morphers in hand.

A smirk came to his face as he pulled out his own morpher.

"It's morphin' time!"

A multicoloured glow exploded from the other side of the vending machines before shooting up into the sky and heading towards the battlefield.

*** In outer space ***

“Earth's gravity is very similar to that of Phaedos, we should land safely just outside of a city called 'Angle Grov'” Leala mispronounced the Californian city's name as she continued to plot their course of landing.

Halea pulled back a on lever, causing and instant sound of clinking metal as the ship prepared to break the gravitational pull and glide towards the command centre that had been found when they'd searched for Zordon's energy.

“Wait, I have 3...No, 4 energy readings, there are power rangers in this sector!” Creus pointed, excitedly at a point on the map as his two sisters glanced over at the display.

“Should we change our flight path?”

“No, Creus, we should do as Dulcea ordered” a tear came to Leala's eye as she prayed for her master's safety. “Zordon will help us, those energies could just be anomo-”

“There seems to be a mass weapon within the rangers perimeter” Creus zoomed in to see the pink ranger standing beside a large cannon aiming for the clouds.

“I think they're aiming for us!” The silver Ninjetti's tone was urgent.

“No, they wouldn't!”

*** Lake side, Angel Grove ***

The rangers had arrived, only to be swamped with at least 12 putties each.

Aiden was working hard with his blade blaster to break through the crowds of putties towards the large laser cannon, whilst Ava, Myles and Kiara had circled around to take on the remainder of the putties and Goldar.

“What is it with you rangers and gaining my attention?” The gold-armoured monkey growled.

He swung his sword above his head and quickly brought it down on Kiara who, by pure luck, seemed to catch it between her palms. “Not bad” she smiled behind her visor before outstretching her leg and planting her boot in his chest.

As the two warriors seperated, Ava darted between them and used her blade blaster to cancel out six more putties, she quickly sprung back and intercepted Goldar's punch towards Kiara with her arm before looping around and kneeing him in the back.

“Do you get bored, of losing?” she giggled.

“Not this time” he fired a blast of energy that knocked Ava into Myles, who was wearing down another horde of putties. The two of them rolled on the floor into a clutter of pink and blue armour.

Kiara gasped in shock before blocking another attack. “Aiden, get over here!”

The black ranger heard the plea's from help from the yellow ranger, but was so close to the cannon, he could almost reach it. Kicking another putty away, he pulled out his Power Axe and cleared out another row of them.

Just as he was about to reach for the console, Mortimor bounced down on Aiden and sent him rolling backwards. He stood back up and was ready to return the favour, but heard Kiara's plea again and flipped around.

Myles and Ava had just untangled themselves and were surrounded by putties, but in a clean swipe, took them all out with a combination attack from the Power Lance and Power Bow.

The black rangers Axe, caught one of Goldar's attacks on the yellow ranger. He pulled the two weapons up high to allow Kiara to perform a set of kicks on Zedd's general that sent him tumbling back.

As the four rangers stood together, they spotted Mortimor inputting a code into the cannon and gazing in horror as it took aim for what appeared to be some sort of space craft in the sky.

“Clear a path!!” Kiara ordered. She rolled forward and knocked Goldar back down whilst Myles and Ava kept the remaining putties at bay.

Just as the machine began to charge, Aiden pulled up his Power Axe and aimed, then, with all of his might, threw the weapon only to have it land a mere centimetre away from the console.

“NO!!”

Jaden and Sebastian appeared on the scene, just in time to see the cannon fire a plasma ray of red and purple energy into the sky.

As the blast collided with the ship, plumes of smoke erupted into the sky and the craft was falling...

Right. Towards. The. Rangers.

Lee, that was really awesome. I like the relationships you've established for the rangers, it definitely isn't campy. :)

Also, the story is really good, it draws you in a little bit. Except for the couple grammar mistakes, I really enjoyed it, it was really well written (God I sound like an English teacher lol)

Well Ive written half of the next chapter, but due to low interest at the moment, unless this chapter really drags in peoples attentions, then I think i'll have to put it on hold again...I'm busy as it is and with the lack of interest, it just doesn't seem worth my time.

Anyway! Next chapter time!

Part 2: Ranger Invasion

The lake was silent. Where the cannon had once stood, was now covered in shards of scrap metal, illuminated by the flickering of small fires that had caught upon impact of the space craft.

Surrounding the crash site were bodies, some of clay, some human, some not. All of them were still, quiet and peaceful until suddenly, a gasp of air broke the fragile silence.

Jaden coughed sand from his mouth and scratched his eyes clean from the smoke of a nearby fire. He looked around to see that the sun was beginning to set on the crash site and realized that he'd been out for a good hour.

His communicator was began to beep and as the red ranger rose it to his mouth to speak, he noticed a large gash reaching from his index finger, all the way up to his elbow.

“Zor-cough, cough-Zordon, I read you”

The instant that Jaden had spoken, Zordon's concerned voice breached the speakers of communicator. “Jaden! Oh thank goodness, we lost all communication with you over an hour ago – what happened?”

“Some spaceship crashed...I think” Jaden's head was groggy, but the moment his vision completely cleared, he saw the true devastation. Quickly dropping his communicator to the ground, he ran as fast as he could, trying to get a head count on everyone.

As soon as everyone was checked for vital signs, he moved across, towards the ship and reached out to touch the largest part of it that seemed to be the front.

“Oh my god!”

Ava's shriek woke Myles, Kiara and Aiden up. But Sebastian remained unconscious.

The pink ranger ran over to her boyfriend and moved his arm from his chest before checking his pulse and breathing.

“He's fine, I already checked”

Jaden's comment went ignored as Ava began begging for Sebastian to wake up. Five seconds later, he did, with a loud, scratchy cough.

As the couple embraced, Aiden helped Kiara up and followed Myles to Jaden's location, at the front of the ship.

“We tried our best”

“It was my fault, my aim was off” Aiden replied to the blue ranger's hopeful tone.
“I saw your throw, it was perfect, by the looks of things, the cannon only fired with half the desired power” Myles examined the wreckage, trying to avoid looking at Ava and Sebastian, who were still hugging.

Kiara stood beside Jaden, for once, oblivious to his good looks. She reached out and tapped the front of the ship with a sound that resembled that of someone using a door knocker.

“We should probably get clearance from Zordon before we check out whatever is in there” Aiden suggested.

But as the black ranger spoke, all eyes focused on the doorway that Kiara had just touched in awe as it creaked groggily open, allowing plumes of black smoke to invade the beach once again.

From inside of the wreckage, came three glowing silhouettes; one of purple, one of orange and the tallest, of silver. The figures stepped confidently through the smoke as the rangers back away slowly, in defensive stances.

Myles stepped nervously towards the smokey figures. He couldn't help but imagine horror/sci-fi flicks as he began to speak to the aliens.

“Welcome to Earth, my name is Myles Cran-”

“Silence”

“Um..Ok-”

“The lady said to be silent” a deep voice boomed. And as the smoke cleared, the power rangers could see that it belongs to the of a tall, silver power ranger wearing a golden shield, similar to that of Sebastian's suit.

“Rangers of Earth, we came, in hopes of gaining your help, but it is clear now, that you are just another bunch of Ivan's goons” Leala, the orange ranger spoke. She was stood between Halea, in the purple and Creus in silver.

Myles was still in shock to see that there were rangers besides themselves.

The first of the Earth rangers to respond, after a long, uncomfortable pause, was Jaden. “Look, we don't know who this Ivan is, but we just tried to stop your ass from being blown up by Lord Zedd”

“Do not try to confuse us with fictional villains, human” Leala drew two Sais from seemingly, no where and pointed them at the red ranger.

Halea, the purple ranger, seemed to reach out towards her sister in an attempt to stop her, but soon pulled her hand back and readied to fight, alongside Creus.

“I refuse to fight” Myles spoke suddenly.

“What? Are you crazy?” Sebastian finally spoke. Standing up, he dusted himself down and shook his head at the blue ranger.

“I'm out too” Kiara spoke “this is a misunderstanding, I refuse to fight when it can be talked out”

Ava looked between Myles and Sebastian, as if weighing up her options. “Sorry Myles” she sighed and stood beside Sebastian and Jaden.

Myles shook his head and allowed Aiden to sit beside him, obviously deciding to opt out of this battle too.

“Oh, good, wonderful, three on three” Leala grinned behind her helmet.

In a flash of pink, green and red light, three armoured rangers stood with their weapons in hand, ready to face off against the Ninjetti warriors.

“The big guy's mine” Sebastian grinned, cracking his left hand that was weilding his dragon dagger.

“Well, I want to test out their leader, see what she will tell” Jaden said, with a slightly more dignified reason than to just 'test his skills' like Sebastian.

“That leaves Halea and pinky over there” Leala nudged her sister forward.

Without warning, the battle began. The orange and red rangers clashed weapons, with sparks erupting from their deadly moves, each and every time they would connect.

Jaden could feel incredible strength from such a petite figure, and honestly, it scared him. He quickly switched to a more defensive tactic and blocked three deadly stabs from the Sais. He continued to look for talking opportunities, whilst watching Sebastian from the corner of his eye, making sure that the green ranger wasn't crushed by the silver.

But Sebastian was doing just fine, despite having to battle with his tiny dagger against a gigantic winged hammer, of course. He dodged a swing from the hammer and ran up the shaft of it before attempting a flying kick.

The attack missed but still allowed for him to somersault out of the reach of another attack.

Ava, meanwhile, took a less direct approach to the fight and kept her distance, firing off laser arrows to keep Halea at bay. The only reason she had agreed to fight, was to talk to this ranger, but she seemed, now that the fight had started, to be extremely eager to kill her.

She sprung back even further, allowing herself to perch on a rock as Halea circled around, deflecting shots from the Power Bow, with her Ninjetti Spear.

“I just want to talk with you!” Ava yelled, above the sound of colliding metal and explosions.

The purple ranger nodded in silent agreement before pointing her spear to a location that was the perfect place to be discreet.

As the two rangers landed in the forest clearing, Ava removed her helmet and placed her bow on the ground.

Halea dropped her spear, and after seeing a smile from the pink ranger, removed her helmet too, allowing brown locks of curly hair to drop free from the helmet.

“You look...”

“Human” Halea half-smiled.

“What are you doing on Earth?” Ava thought it was best to use the time she had to the best of her ability.

“Our home, Phaedos was invaded by a Universal menace, known as Ivan Ooze, we were sent here, by our leader Dulcea, to seek out Zordon”

“Zordon?! Zordon is our mentor! He gave us our powers!”

Halea grinned and clapped her hands together. “Could you take us to him?”

“If we can convince our blood thirsty friends to stop killing each other, then I'm sure we could try!”

They both replaced their helmets and rejoined the battlefield to see Sebastian block a strong attack from Creus before kneeing him in the gut and throwing him to the ground. At the same time, Leala performed a perfect cut across Jaden's armour and sent him tumbling backwards.

“Guy's stop the fighting!” the girls yelled in unison, catching the attention of the Aiden, Myles and Kiara, but no one in the fight.

Creus suddenly raised his hammer above Sebastian and Ava lost every sight of her goal to stop the fighting.

She quickly pulled her bow back and aimed it for Creus, her temptation to protect her boyfriend, overwhelming her desire to help these alien beings.

“Ava! No!” She heard Myles' voice, but couldn't help it. She let go of the bow and fired a direct arrow towards Creus.

In the blink of an eye, the blue ranger had morphed and intercepted the arrow with his own chest. As quick as he had morphed, he now demorphed and dropped back on the sand.

The moment the arrow hit Myles, the other rangers stopped fighting.

“Myles!? MYLES!” Ava screamed, and as she ran towards him, a flicker of pink lightning blurred her vision. She was teleporting.

*** Lord Zedd's Moon Palace ***

Several putties fluttered about before Lord Zedd's throne in a desperate attempt to save their pitiful lives. Rita seemed to be enjoying the show, but Zedd was growing ever-more impatient as he waited for his general to enter the room.

Goldar abruptly smashed the doors open with his palms. He grunted as Mortimor followed closely behind him.

"I think we should have pig for lunch, master" Goldar glared at Mortimor.

"Oh, but I'm craving roasted monkey" Rita cackled, causing Goldar to flinch.

Zedd rose his hand to the air and instantly, the whole room bowed in silence. Rita even respected Zedd's intrusion for once and sat back in her throne beside him.

"Dulcea's followers...Did they tell you anything of their business?"

"Well we shot them out of the sky! And then were about to-"

Mortimor was cut off as Zedd's staff pressed its cold steel against his snout. He gulped and closed his eyes. "You found NOTHING!?" Zedd's voice boomed throughout the room like a grenade.

Lord Zedd's palace doors slammed open once as a purple smog filled the room, it twisted and folded around Zedd pulling him away from Mortimor.

"What is this!? I demand that you let go!"

Goldar stood up immediately, drawing his sword as Rita reached for her staff and began zapping the gas. But nothing affected it, she groaned and dropped back to her throne in a childish manner.

The smog slowly began to take shape. A wide, bright smile shone through it with yellow eyes before a purple humanoid stood by the doors that he had blown open.

"Perhaps, I can be of assistance?" Ivan grinned.

Rita dropped from her thrown to bow by the side of Zedd as they recognized the figure. Goldar looked confused but followed suit alongside Mortimor.

"The great, Ivan Ooze!" Zedd's tone had completely changed.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah" Ivan blushed a dark purple before snapping his fingers.

The room was suddenly filled with purple warriors that easily outnumbered the putty patrollers.

"We are to use your palace as a base whilst we find and destroy those power brats"

Zedd stood up. "The alien power rangers? What is your business with them?"

"They have the Ninjetti power coins"

Rita grinned brightly. "Oh this is going to be fun".

*** Command Center ***

Within the stoney walls of the Power Rangers most sturdy base, stood Jaden, Sebastian and Ava. Each of them with their heads down. “You misused the powers I bestowed upon you and what happened because of it? One of your own, is injured!”

Zordon had never yelled at his rangers before, to do such a thing pained him to no end. But he was hurt, he had seen the misuse of the power coins in the past and did not want to see it happen again.

Leala, now unmorphed with her auburn hair running down her back, stepped forward. Interrupting the lecture, she raised her hand.

“Yes, Leala?”

“According to Eltarian law, you are to remove these three of their powers” she heard a hiss, but wasn't sure if it came from Zordon, or Ava.

The floating head shook from side to side in his energy tube. “Times are dire, if what you say about Ivan is true, then we are in for fight unlike any other”

“I will not take your powers, but Rangers, head my warning, you are a team and must work as one”

Ava immediately broke from the line and headed for the far door on the left. She passed through the door and entered the medical bay, where Alpha was treating Myles' chest wound.

She expected to see blood and breathing equipment, but as the doors opened, she was shocked to find Myles already resting in bed. He had a large white bandage wrapped tightly against his surprisingly (to Ava) muscular chest.

“We'll leave the two of you to it” Kiara hugged Myles for the first time ever before snaking past Ava.

Aiden remained in the room, reading.

“Aiden! I know you're socially awkward, but dude!”

The black ranger jumped as if he were sleeping before looking at the pink ranger, then across the the yellow ranger, whom waving her hand around, in all sorts of manners.

When they were finally alone, Myles spoke first.

“That Creus guy came by earlier, and gave me this” he rose his arm to show a blue and black bruise. “Said something about me being a true warrior, or something”

Ava smiled softly. “That you are” she paused. “Listen, Myles, I'm so-”

“Forget it, Ava, I know, Sebastian needed you. Just like he did on my birthday when he was pulled up for speeding and you needed to pay his ticket, just like when you chose to join him in the fight, just like when you cancelled our only time together as friends, to see his friendly game, which had no result...I'm used to it, second best, always...That's me”

The pink ranger couldn't respond. She had shot her best and closest friend in the chest with an arrow, but it was nothing in comparison to the years of crap she had given him just because she was in a relationship. He was right, he was second best.

…

Back in the main chamber of the Command Center, Zordon spoke with the Ninjetti Guardian's of Dulcea, and how he planned to find her and rescue her.

Halea and Creus were convinced, but Leala, the one who was last to see her master, had seen the look in her eyes. Fear, true fear.

“So what is the plan, exactly? Hide in this fancy place?” Creus almost sounded like he liked that idea.

Jaden pushed up from the console. “It won't be long before Zedd makes his move, if this Ivan guy is around, he'll no doubt be in cahoots with him”. Sebastian, Aiden and Kiara nodded in agreement.

“Until we know Ivan's plans, the best we can do is to train and protect the power coins, to our best” the Command Center is a sanctuary, the only ones who can enter this place, are those with power coins”

Zordon's image in the tube flickered slightly as a splodge of purple goo dropped from the top of his tube.

“Zordon?”

The Ninjetti Guardian's eye's widened, they immediately backed away from the tube. “Get back!” Leala ordered.

Hearing the commotion, Ava helped Myles into the main chamber and was shocked to see Zordon's energy tube, filled with bubbling, purple liquid.

“What the hell is going on!? Kiara moved away from another drop of goo that hit the ground.

Suddenly, the energy tube began to grow eyes, then a mouth as Ivan Ooze's face appeared in the place of Zordon's.

Alpha 5 was standing on the moving pieces of ooze that crawled along the floor to the rangers, but as he looked up, what he saw, shocked him so much ,that his circuits blew, leaving him stationary.

“Alpha!” Ava almost let go of Myles, but forced herself to stand by him this time.

Ivan Ooze finally spoke.

“Ah, the children of Dulcea, we finally meet! And you're with Zordon's children too? Wow this is like a reunion of the generations!” He cackled within the tube.

“What have you done with Zordon!?”

“Oh that old coot? He's gone” Ivan's slow grin brought the dawn of realization to the ranger's face's.

Their mentor was gone.
