TGK’s Version

Episode 2: Operation Unity Begins

Disclaimer: The Original World Bender series is created by Beckoner of Ranger Board, He owns his own characters and storylines, this is just my way of doing things, as usual the storyline is partially mine and anything Power Ranger related belongs to whoever owns it.

Plot:

We live in a world built on chaos and crime these days, war threatens everyone and no one will stop until they get what they want. But now their has come a chance, a chance to change the future of our world, No one knows how or why it will happen it just will, for sometime now people have turned to the scientists to create something to give them an edge in this never ending conflict something, that would give them more power of the others, something to give them the strength to win. The World will remain at war till the end of time unless some sort of group or force of a higher power steps in to stop the fighting, Most turn to the show their childhood, The Power Rangers. But knowing they are not real does not matter to them one bit, they are just happy for the comfort and warmth it provides, knowing that at least those so called ‘tv’ worlds are safe from what is truly going on in our world today.

But now this is where things change a bit, this is where one was chosen above all other’s to give this world a purpose for living and a true path to destiny, this is where we meet one of the saviours of the planet, Max Noble

Now the choice is up to Max, who will gain the power to save the world?, Who will become the first ever Power Rangers of the Real World?, I hope you choose wisely because this may be the last one you ever make.

It had been 1 month since they arrived, during this time they have trained, worked on strategies and pushed themselves further than they have ever been pushed.

Max Noble
26th July, 2010, Angel Grove Mountains, SPD Command Room.

Bringing up images on the viewscreen of the terrorist armament, Max began pacing back and forth before speaking,

The Iranian government has started selling weapons to known terrorist cells, which are using false organizations as fronts for legal ‘defense forces’. Everyone’s hands are tied, and the country is explicitly against a war in Iran, so we’re going to destroy their stockpile since no one else can or will do something about it. Our mission is to cripple their war machine. Recent intelligence suggests that they have a small factory in their storage facility that is manufacturing bombs. Kai and Monica, you guys will take R.I.C and head to the storage warehouse. Kylie, you’ve got the factory. The factory has to go down an hour after the warehouse, otherwise we won’t give the media enough time.

Alright guys, you know what to do. Max stated.

Monica/Kylie:

Monica and Kylie nodded. They had been waiting for this moment for a long time. They both pulled out their morphers and cried out, "SPD Emergency!" No sooner were a splash of yellow and blue standing in the room. "We're ready," the both said.

[Shadow Ranger]

Kai Kagawa
Location: Command Deck, SPD Command

Kai listened to Max and nodded, "So we're going to be destroying an Iranian Warehouse? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that an Act of Terrorism itself?" Kai sighed, conflicting feelings swirling around inside him. He walked up to Monica and looked at her, "Just so we are clear, I will not allow any innocents to be harmed." He turned back to Max, "My priority is to ensure the safety of every innocent in the building. If I miss our timetable, so be it. Innocent blood will not be spilled because of me." He raised his right hand to his mouth and whistled twice, "RIC! Here boy!" The main double-doors of the Command Deck slid open as RIC bounded around the corner and into the room. He slid to a stop beside Kai and looked up at him, wagging his tail. Kai smiled and pulled his SPD License, going through the necessary motions, "SPD Emergency!!" In a flash of green, Kai stood in his Range Uniform. He petted RIC on his head as he nodded to Max, "We are ready."

Max Noble

"Now the fun begins", All 3 shuffled into special transport craft that carried each Ranger individually. Max commissioned them when he realized that they all needed a good way to get around quickly. Using the Morphing Grid as a power source, these lightning quick “pods” deployed the 3 Rangers to their predetermined destinations.

Kai, Monica and R.I.C landed literally at the front gate of the warehouse in Iran nearly 45 minutes later. As the hatch popped off the cylindrical pods, the Green and Yellow Rangers hopped out and were greeted by surprised and alerted foreign guards wielding AK 47s. Screaming out orders in a language they didn’t understand, they opened fire at the Rangers.

Kai Kagawa
Location: Terrorist Warehouse

Kai teleported in and was immediately bombarded by incoming AK 47 rounds and rapid fire Iranian. He shoved Monica to his right, out of the way as he jumped to his left to dodge the rounds. He hit the ground rolling, landing into a crouch as he pulled his Striker from its holster. He brought his left arm up and across his chest as he rested the barrel of the Striker on his left forearm. He took aim at the first walkie-talkie he saw and fired. A beam of energy lanced out and struck the walkie-talkie, making it explode on impact. The Terrorist screamed out in pain as the explosion burned his hand and the electrical discharge wracked his body. Kai froze for a moment as he realized that this was, indeed, real life with real Terrorists.

More rapid fire Iranian broke him out of his reverie as he saw one Terrorist turn and run toward the Warehouse, "RIC! Stop him from reaching the warehouse!" RIC barked twice and took off like a rocket, blowing by all the Terrorists firing at the Rangers. Kai blinked and whistled, "Just like the show... nice..." RIC pounced on the fleeing Terrorist and dropped him on his face. Then he just stood on the man's back as he turned to look over his shoulder and barked once at Kai. Kai tilted his head as RIC barked again. Kai smacked his head as he realized that he had told RIC to stop the Terrorist, which he did, and now he was awaiting orders as to what do with him. Kai nodded, "RIC! Knock him out!" RIC barked once more, then turned back to the frightened Terrorist, raising his paw and smacking him across the back of the head, knocking the Terrorist out cold.

More rapid fire Iranian followed as about a third of the armed Terrorists turned to train their guns on RIC. Kai hoped RIC was as tough in real life as he was on the show, "RIC! Don't let anyone past you!" RIC barked again and dropped into an attack stance as he growled, daring the Terrorists to try and get past him. Kai turned to Monica, "Let's make this quick. I don't know how long we have until the Terrorists inside realize what's going on." He turned back to the Terrorists as he stood up, aiming his Striker at them. He turned once more to Monica, "Oh and be careful. We don't know how much protection these suits actually afford us." He nodded to Monica, then turned back to the Terrorists and took off running and firing his Striker.

Monica:

She couldnt get over how cool it was in her head, but she knew they had to get down to business. "Just like old times," she thought to herself. Suddenly Kai pushed her and went the other way as they were being fired upon. She went behind a bunch of crates and grabbed her weapon as well. She was sheilded from the bullets but she knew it wouldnt last. She could tell Kai was realizing that this stuff was for real. She remembered when she felt like that when she was first began in the army.

She fired upon the men's feet to draw them back and it worked somewhat but not for long. Kai was working with RIC and so far it was working. He then turned to her and said, "Let's make this quick. I don't know how long we have until the Terrorists inside realize what's going on." He turned back to the Terrorists as he stood up, aiming his Striker at them. He turned once more to Monica, "Oh and be careful. We don't know how much protection these suits actually afford us." He nodded to Monica, then turned back to the Terrorists and took off running and firing his Striker. She nodded and followed him, covering his back.


Kylie:

She was then taking to the next destination and she hid low from the gaurds. There were only a few so she figured that she could take them. Although in these times you never knew. She knew she was supposed to wait for Monica and Kai to complete their part first. She hid low again and waited a bit. She then popped up and the men nearly jumped out of their boots, asking what the heck was she. Abviously they had never seen the show so they were unfamiliar with her suit.

Kai Kagawa
Location: Terrorist Warehouse, Iran

Kai fired multiple rounds, intentionally missing the Terrorists as he ran full tilt. The Terrorists, still taken by surprise, couldn't hit the broadside of a barn, resorting to 'spray n pray.' He then noticed balls of energy whizzing past his head as Monica took up a position behind him, laying cover fire. He saw a Terrorist out of the corner of his eye taking careful aim at him. He jumped to his right and twisted his torso in mid-air as he dodged the bullet spray and returned with one shot from his Striker. The shot tore through the Terrorist's left shoulder like a hot knife through butter, completely separating the poor man's rotator cuff. The Terrorist twisted back with the impact and screamed in pain as blood splattered everywhere. Kai landed on his feet and blinked as he looked down at the Striker.

Oh my God... This is for real... we really are Power Rangers... He looked back up at the man he just shot who was on the ground, grabbing his shoulder in pain. I never meant... I... He was broken from his thoughts by a loud boom. He took a step back as something had hit him square in the chest causing collision sparks to fly. He brought his left hand under the chest and caught the object as he turned it around in his hand. It was a .50 Caliber Hollow Point Sniper Round. Did I just... take an Armor Piercing Round to the chest? Another shot rang out as another sniper round bounced harmlessly off his chest. He tossed the bullet to the ground and changed his Striker to his left hand, "Change of plans..." He looked over his shoulder, "Monica! Switch your D-Striker to Pacification Mode! We don't want to kill them, just incapacitate them! Oh and by the way... we're bulletproof." He smirked under his helmet as he turned back to the stunned Terrorists and charged them head on, "Gomen Minna... don't take this personally."

He brought his right hand over toward his Striker as he switched his grip form a pistol grip to a fist grip, placing his entire left hand through the Striker's grip. He pressed a switch on the back of the Striker's grip as it clicked and ejected the Rod that made up the barrel and upper stock from the grip itself. He caught the rod in his right hand and spun it in his right hand as he gripped the central handle and pulled it back and to his right, "D-Rod! Sabre Mode!" The Rod flashed green for a moment as it extended to it's full length sabre mode. The Terrorists began firing on Kai, once again. This time, Kai made no efforts to evade the sprays, taking them head on, allowing them to create multiple collision sparks as they struck and bounced off. Kai slid to a stop in front of the nearest Terrorist and spun to his right, turning his back to the man and bringing his Sabre down on the man's AK 47. Sparks flew from the gun as Kai forced it down with his enhanced strength.

The Terrorist tried to pull his gun back up, but to no avail. Kai spoke into his helm's comm unit, "RIC! Scan the Warehouse for Snipers! Send the targeting telemetry to my visor!" He continued his spin, slamming his left elbow into the shocked Terrorist, causing him to double over and drop his gun. The Sabre slammed the gun to the ground as Kai raised his left arm and brought his left elbow down on the back of the Terrorist's neck, dropping him instantly. He continued on, spinning his sabre in front of him to deflect incoming fire. Though the bullets couldn't harm him, enough hitting in the same spot hurt like Hell. He pulled back his left arm as he slid to a stop in front another Terrorist and pulled his sabre away, "D-Knuckle! Taser Mode!" The front of the D-Knuckle glowed green as he punched forward with his left arm in a perfectly executed Karate Straight Punch. The Terrorist went flying back a good three feet and landed on his back, writhing, as green electricity wracked his body, incapacitating him.

Monica/Kylie:

"Monica! Switch your D-Striker to Pacification Mode! We don't want to kill them, just incapacitate them! Oh and by the way... we're bulletproof." He smirked under his helmet as he turned back to the stunned Terrorists and charged them head on. Monica nodded, wow the army sure could uniforms like this. She continued to fire and they were getting closer to the building. The foes were starting to scatter and she was running away in an unfamilair direction. She left Kai and RIC and chased after him. She tackled him to the ground and asked, "Where do you think you're going?" The man looked up at her scared and shocked that it was a woman talking. "I-ughh, my friend is hurt. I was getting help." She looked over to where he pointed and saw a man lying on the ground. She got off the man and went over to the injured one. She saw he was bleeding and she pulled him out of the firing range and looked at the man. "You need to put pressure on him."

She got up and left. She knew they had an important mission to accomplish, and she knew that it would have to come first as much as she didnt want it too. She ran over to Kai and shot at a man's feet who was trying to get a hold of him. "Take that!" she called out.

Kai Kagawa Monica
Location: Terrorist Warehouse, Iran

Kai spun at the sound of a blaster shot only to see a Terrorist mere inches from him fall as Monica jogged up to him, "Nice shot." He looked around to survey the area as he saw most of what was left of the Terrorists heading for the hills, "I think we're good on the guards. Let's go." He took off running toward the Warehouse with Monica behind him. Suddenly, an overlay popped up on his visor as two reticules appeared. He smiled beneath his helmet as he re-assembled his D-Striker, "Good Boy RIC." He pointed the Striker at the first reticule, the information on his visor telling him his shot would be off, "D-Striker! Pacification Mode!" He adjusted his shot as per the visor's parameters as a light on the side of the gun illuminated, indicating that Pacification Mode had been engaged. He fired at the same time the sniper did. The Striker's shot vaporized the .50 Caliber Bullet and struck the sniper square in the chest, causing him to drop on the spot. Moments later, the second reticule disappeared from his visor, "Smart man..."

Kai, Monica, and RIC entered the Warehouse, the lights heavily dimmed, "RIC, give us some light." RIC barked once as his eye panel lit up, a beam of red light extending out from it. The Rangers examined the dimly lit warehouse only to find food and medical supplies, "This doesn't look like a Terrorist Storage Facility to me. Could Max's intel be off?" Monica pat RIC on the head, "Could be this Warehouse is simply a front for the Storage Facility. RIC, see if you can find any contraband." RIC barked once and took off running around the warehouse, his position given away by the red glow of his eyes. Kai sighed, "And there he goes with our light... I wonder..." He reached up and touched the side of his helmet, "Helmet Light!" The lights on the side of his helm lit up to illuminate his field of vision, "Sweet!" Monica followed suit as the Ranger Duo continued to look around. Monica tilted her head, "This can't be right... you saw how heavily guarded this place was. You can't tell me they had a platoon of soldiers guarding beans and band-aids!" Kai chuckled, "You have a point there Monica."

A few moments later a bark echoes from across the room. Kai and Monica looked at each other as Kai spoke, "Looks like RIC found something." They took off running and found RIC in a back corner of the Warehouse, apparently staring at a metal rack of shelves filled with boxes. Kai pulled a box down and opened it only to find more canned food, "RIC... this is food." RIC barked again and narrowed the beam of light to fit between the boxes and hit the back wall. Monica, again, tilted her head, "Wait... RIC isn't detecting contraband from the boxes on the shelves... he's detecting them from BEHIND the shelves!" Kai examined the shelves and sighed, "I really hate to do this, but we don't have the time... stand back." Monica and RIC backed up as Kai grabbed the side of the shelf rack with his gloved hands. He took a deep breath and pulled with all of this strength, "Rrrrrrrrrrrahg!!" The shelf rack came toppling down, boxes and all, destroying most of the contents within.

Monica whistled as Kai looked up, "Hidden Door... interesting..." Monica pat RIC on the head as RIC mimicked a dog panting, "Good Boy!" Kai drew his Striker as Monica did the same. They nodded to each other as Kai kicked the door right off its hinges. The Rangers and RIC stepped quickly through the door, their Strikers at the ready. Kai's eyes widened as he saw a large room with racks of multiple types of automatic and semi-automatic weaponry lining the walls. He also saw multiple types of explosives and RPGs. He balled his left hand into a fist, "The Iranians are lying bastards... They're preparing for something big. But not... anymore." He picked up a piece of wood off the ground and tossed it at the nearest smoke detector and fired, igniting the wood long enough for the sprinklers to go off along with the fire alarm. The workers in the building all looked up as they were getting drenched in water. Kai took a couple more steps into the room so that they workers could see him, "If you value your lives, leave now. This is your only warning." Monica stepped up next to him and the workers screamed. They made for the nearest exits while some of the workers stood there in shock at seeing Power Rangers before them. Kai raised his voice a notch, "Did you not hear me! Get out of here!!" The remaining workers broke out of their shock and made for the exits. Kai sighed and holstered his Striker before holding his right hand up, "Bone Key!" A grey, metallic bone appeared in his right hand, "RIC!" He tossed the Bone Key into the air as RIC leaped from behind them and grabbed it with his mouth. His eye panel flashed red as he transformed into a large cannon. Kai and Monica caught RIC and lined the cannon up with the contraband. They nodded at each other and pulled the trigger, "Canine Cannon... FIRE!!" A large, bright beam of energy lanced out, engulfing the explosives and RPG racks, causing multiple secondary and tertiary explosions.

Kai and Monica release RIC who transformed back as the three of them booked it back through the door whence they came. They ran for the main exit as the Storage Facility behind them went up in a ball of fire, leaving the Warehouse Storage Front with all the food and medical supplies mostly untouched. Once outside, the Rangers stopped to catch their breath as stunned workers just stared at them. Kai reached up and touched his helm, "Max, it's Kai. Mission Complete. Monica and I are awaiting the arrival of the media and a ride home."

Charlee

Their plane had finally touched down in America. After a long trip Charlee & Jasper were very tired. They were both about to meet a friend who they met online. Neither of them knew the exact reason they were there but hey a free trip to America who were they to complain.

Charlee was in the airport bathroom. With a her hair in a pony-tail, a black tank top, & pink shorts Charlee didn't feel like dressing up. She was so happy to get off that plane and out of those uncomfortable heels and that tight dress that she had to go comfortable. "Oh my goodness I'm finally off that God forsaken plane."

She then began to wash her face. As she looked up from the mirror she saw her reflection. It pained her because she could see all the pain she had been through. Her eyes looked like a little girl lost, but not with Jasper. when she was with Jasper her eyes lit up. She felt like a kid in a candy store. She loved him more than anyone she has ever known, but he didn't return the favor. She quickly finished freshening up, grabbed her bags and walked out the bath room.

She began to look for Jasper. "Now where did he go?" She began walking around the airport. "He told me he'd be right here." She finally found him looking out the window. "I thought you said you'd be right there?" She asked a little agitated. He looked at her and just stared. "oh it doesn't matter now what do we do?"

“Alright, Part One is complete. Kylie, it’s your turn,” Max said into the comm unit.

Jasper Lockhart
Location: Angel Grove Municipal Airport

Jasper turned to face Charlee as she approached him, "How should I know? It's been years since I was last in the States." He brought up his right hand which cradled his Cell Phone, "I can't get a hold of Max... what kind of bloody game is that wanker playing at?" At that moment, a man in a Security Uniform walked up to them, "Jasper Lockhart?" Jasper looked up cautiously, "Who's asking?" The man pointed at the metallic badge attached to his shirt, "Carl Robertson, Airport Security. Someone is asking for you down at Arrivals." Jazz looked at Charlee as they both nodded. He picked up his duffel bag and slung it over his shoulder before turning to the Security Officer, "Lead the way."

The trio wove their way through the bustling airport and down to the arrival pick-up doors. As they exited the airport, a middle-aged man in a tux greeted them, "Jasper Lockhart and Charlee Deveraux?" Jasper raised an eyebrow, "And you are?" The man bowed, "My name is Tobias. Master Noble has sent me to fetch you." Jasper thought for a moment, "Noble... as in... Max Noble?" Tobias stood and nodded, "Indeed. The Master has been eagerly awaiting your arrival. Please, this way." The Security Officer waved as Jasper and Charlee followed Tobias out to the Limo. Tobias placed their bags in the trunk as the pair stepped into the back of the Limo. Moments later, the Limo drove off. Jasper leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes, "A Limo Driver in a Tux... what have I gotten us into?"

Kylie/Monica:

“Alright, Part One is complete. Kylie, it’s your turn,” Max said through her morpher. She nodded to herself. "Time for action." The Blue Ranger emerged. Orders to fire were screamed as Kylie leapt into action. Landing in a group of armed guards, she executed a number of punches and kicks into several men, knocking them away effortlessly. She then moved on swatting away factory workers trying to stop her from making her way to the main conveyor belt that was manufacturing parts. “Delta Striker!” Kylie called out.

She opened fire using non lethal blasts to stun several men. An alarm was sounded, and a flurry of men came rushing from the outside and into the factory. Kylie smirked from inside her helmet, she fired blasts into the factory equipment, destroying everything. “Take this!” she yelled triumphantly.She then fired rapidly into the oncoming crowd, firing some blasts into the ground to knock them down. As the last of the guards stormed into the facility, with one quick jump, se was airborne. Soaring through the air effortlessly, she passed over the guards’ heads, firing indiscriminately raining down laser blasts which fortunately for the terrorists would only injure them.

Once Kylie landed behind the fallen men, she put her weapons back into her holsters and then pulled out her morpher and said to Max, “Part two of the mission is complete. We did it guys,” saying victoriously.

"Alright, make sure you guys exit the way you came in. We want you to be seen to make our presence known. You guys did great. New pods are on their way to pick you up" Max said over the comm link.

John walked into the room where Max was in a white lab coat "It looks like that went well, but we should get ready to make our presence known all around the world. Face it Max when news of this comes out people might think of it as a PR stunt and just an act. I have plans for something that might really help, right now it's just in the planning stages. But I discovered if I design the device the base can actually make it."

"Nice work John, I hope all goes to plan, now for the cameras to catch a glimpse of the 'rangers', hopefully it works the way I want it to", Max sat the waiting and watching for the first of the camera crews to arrive and the pods to get their and pull the 3 rangers and R.I.C out.

John replied "Well, have you thought of joining in battle anytime soon, I mean right now they are doing fine. The other two should be joining soon, I hope to make an appearance in the near future, but we still need all the rangers to work more efficiently, also I wonder when the case holder will give us those powers he said we'd get?"

"I'm better off here for tactical advice than battle, perhaps later on but for now no, as for the powers, Kai, Kylie and Monica already have their's, you will get your's before you are sent into battle. As will Jasper and Charlee"

Kylie/Monica:

Kylie stood there and waited as her new pod arrived. Meanwhile reporters who were at a nearby american army base had heard and seen the explosion and had made their way over to her. She didnt say anything, but as soon as her pod arrived she turned and left leaving the few reporters crazy. The same had happened with Monica and Kai. Kylie was the first to arrive back. She demorphed and looked t Max and John. "Wow," she said. "That was something else."

John looked at Kylie "If you think that was something just wait till your next mission, and what I have planned for you guys to use."

Kai Kagawa
Location: Iran

Kai stood and waited with Monica as a few new trucks arrived on the scene. Kai turned to Monica, "Only a few? Guess we have to start somewhere. Let's give these lucky reporters a real exclusive." Monica nodded as they both spun, ending up back-to-back. RIC ran in front of them, taking up an aggressive stance. Kai raised his left hand as Monica raised her right and, simultaneously, they formed a gun-shaped 'L' with their thumbs and index fingers, pointing them at the reporters. As if on cue, the Pods arrived behind them. Kai and Monica, kept the pose for a moment, then turned and entered their Pods. RIC jumped in beside Kai as the Pods closed and took off.

Location: SPD Command

Moments later, the Pods returned to SPD Command. Kai walked into the Command Center, completely de-morphed as John mentioned a new mission and new gear, "We have another mission already? And what's this about you planning something? I thought Max was the brains of this outfit?"



Jasper Lockhart
Location: Noble Estate

The Limo pulled into one of the many garages of Noble Estate, the door automatically closing behind it. Tobias got out and opened the door for Jasper and Charlee who exited. Tobias made for the door leading into the Estate, but Jasper did not move, "Aren't we forgetting something?" Tobias bowed, "Of course, but I will tend to that later. The Master really must see you as soon as possible. You need not worry, Master Lockhart, I will treat you belongings as if they were my own." Jasper sighed and, almost reluctantly, walked up to Tobias, "Alright... I'll trust you... for now. But if I find anything damaged or missing, there will be Hell to pay!" Tobias stood up and opened the door, "Of course, sir."

The three of them entered Max's sprawling estate as Tobia led them to a more normal-sized living room in the rear of the estate. He picked up the remote to the TV and turned the TV on, the channel already tuned to CNN. What appeared on the news brought a smile to Tobias' face as he spoke under his breath, "Most impressive sir..." On the TV was a live split news feed from Iran covering the appearances of the Power Rangers. Jasper's eyes widened, "What in the world?!" He looked to Tobias when he heard something come from his lips, "What did you say?" Tobias turned to Jasper, "Nothing sir. Please, make yourselves comfortable. I will notify the Master that you have arrived. I do hope you'll enjoy the entertainment." Tobias whirled on his heels and walked out of the room, a grin plastered on his face, hidden by his own body. Jasper sat down on the couch and watched the news, the video footage repeating over and over again, "That... can't be real... can it?" He turned to Charlee to see if she had any answers.

Tobias entered the nearby Study and pulled a small device from his pocket. He flipped it open, a single red light indicating that the device was functioning, "Master Noble. Jasper Lockhart and Charlee Deveraux have arrived. I brought them to the Estate. Give your recent... escapades... it might be wise to send Pods to pick them up."

John replied to Kai "I don't have a mission planned for you, Max will do that I am the one who will make new equipment. Think of me kind of like Kat Manx or if you prefer Swan."

Monica/Kylie:

Kylie smiled as Monica came back with Kai. Monica looked at Kylie smiled back, "I think I am going to like this too." Kai then thought there was a new mission being assigned. "Nope, he's just mentioning some new things," Kylie told him. She then turned back to Max. "Though what is next on our agenda?" she asked. Monica nodded in response, "Yeah, I'm still pumped up from the last thing."

"For Right now take a look at the screens. We’re already on the news.”

They all focused on the largest of the screens, turning up the volume on a prominent news station. A middle aged, dark man in a blue suit appeared on the screen before he began speaking,

“Today’s top news story: an Iranian weapons facility and warehouse were attacked by an unknown group. You’ll never believe who it was,”

The screen then showed the limited footage of the Green and Yellow Ranger's posing before stepping into their pods and taking off.

“Two unidentified people dressed in a colorful costumes somehow destroyed the facility and disabled nearly all of the personnel before leaving in some sort of small aircraft. Initial reports say the neighboring warehouse just miles a way was attacked by one other dressed in a similar outfit. This just in, the costumes you are seeing are apparently from a television show called Power Rangers-“

The screen then showed footage of SPD, including a little copyright disclaimer in the corner.

“It is unknown who they are, or what they want, and no other governments or groups have taken responsibility for the attack. We’ll update you more, as the story unfolds,” the news anchor finished.

"Well Guy's were in it for the long haul now." Max stated.

Switching the moniter off he recieved an incoming transmission from Tobais,

"Master Noble. Jasper Lockhart and Charlee Deveraux have arrived. I brought them to the Estate. Give your recent... escapades... it might be wise to send Pods to pick them up."

"Will do Tobais, sending 2 now, they will have Invisible shields activated, so use the scanner in the device and you will be able to see them. They will be their in about 2 mins or so." Turning back to the others, "Well guys looks like the rest of the team is on it's way".

Jasper sat down on the couch and watched the news, the video footage repeating over and over again, "That... can't be real... can it?" He turned to Charlee to see if she had any answers.

"It's a hoax." She looked in disbelief. "Power Rangers really. Come on it's a TV show for kids. It's no realer than the Locness monster. She turned and looked at the living room up and down it was a very nice place.

She then walked over and sat by Jasper. She took the remote and turned the channel. "What esle is on" As she turned the channel she noticed that the show Power Rangers was on. "Oh look Jasper it's the power rangers."She said jokingly. "Maybe the Power Ranger will save us one day."

She laughed and then looked at Jasper who was clearly not amused by her jokes. "Do you really think it's real?" She said in a more serious tone.

Jasper Lockhart
Location: Noble Estate

Jasper shrugged, "It's hard to believe that something like the Power Rangers could be real. Especially with RIC so prominent in the foreground. I mean, does the technology to make something like RIC even exist?" Before Charlee could answer, Tobias came walking back in to the room, "Master Lockhart, Madame Deveraux, if you would come with me?" Jasper stood up and turned to Tobias, "What now?" Tobias smiled, "Your transportation has arrived. Master Noble will see you now." Jasper raised an eyebrow, "Transportation? To where?" Tobias turned and walked out the back door, "SPD Command." Jasper's eyes widened in surprise as he jogged out behind Tobias with Charlee in tow, "Say that again!" Tobias stopped in the backyard and pulled out his communicator, "I said the transports will take you to SPD Command." With that, Tobias punched a few buttons on the communicator causing two human-sized pods to de-cloak, "Have a safe journey. And tell Master Noble I said Hi." The fronts of the pods opened, raising up on a hinge as Tobia returned to the estate, "Oh and don't worry about being detected. The stealth system will automatically re-engage once the propulsion systems are activated." Jasper turned his head to face Charlee, "SPD Command huh? I'll believe that when I see it." Almost instinctively, he reached out and grasped Charlee's hand with his own, "See you on the other side." He then released her hand and stepped into the pod with the red highlights. He examined the pod's interior and the very small console situated near his right hand, "Override... must be a Manual Override... let's see... Sensors... I guess I won't be able to see once the hatch closes... ah... Go... and it's flashing green... nice." He pressed the glowing green Go button causing the hatch to close. The Pod's thrusters engaged and launched the Pod into the air and the stealth system re-activated.


Kai Kagawa Jasper Lockhart
Location: Command Deck, SPD Command

Kai grinned as he watched the news. He had to admit, they looked damn cool in the outfits. He balled his right hand into a fist and leaped into the air, pumping that fist above his head, "Yatta!!" After he landed, he realized all the eyes in the room where on him and he blushed... heavily, "Uh... Gomen..." He bowed to the other Rangers, thoroughly embarassed, "I got excited watching the footage and uh... I guess I got carried away." He stood up and facepalmed, "Watashi wa baka yo! Baka Baka Baka!!" A firm, serious, yet soft voice spoke from behind him, "Baka is right." Kai lowered his hand and wheeled to confront the source of the voice. He came face-to face with a broad chest of a man wearing a white t-shirt and red leather jacket. He looked up to meet eyes with the man who examined him, "I take it you're the Green Ranger from the news?" Kai took a step back and nodded, cautiously eying the newcomer, "And you are?" The man smirked and held his right hand out, "Jasper Lockhart. I'm here at the request of Max Noble." Kai shook his hand, still not entirely trusting, "Kai. Kai Kagawa. Deka-- sorry, SPD Green."

They lowered their hands as Kai noticed Charlee standing behind Jasper, "Hel-lo what have we here? Kawaii desu ne..." He smoothed out his green corduroy jacket and attempted to step around Jasper, "Welcome to SPD Command. I'm Kai. Kai Kagawa. The Green Ranger. What do you say you and I find a private room in this place after we're done here and I can show you how to extend my D-Rod?" Jasper's arm appeared between Kai and Charlee, "Cool it Casanova." Kai looked up at Jasper who returned the look, "Stay away from Charlee ok? You're not in her league!" Kai smirked, "Oh I get it... why didn't you say something before?" Jasper raised an eyebrow, "What... are you talking about?" Kai chuckled, "It's obvious... I can see it in your eyes. If I had known she was yours, I wouldn't have tried to hit on her." Jasper's eyes widened in shock as his face turned beet red, "No no! You've got it all wrong! We're not--- I mean I'm not--- I mean I like her and all, just not like--- Bloody Hell dude she's like a little sister to me!" Kai's smirk widened to a grin as his chuckle became a laugh, "Keep telling yourself that." He pointed to Jasper's face, "There's no doubt, you ARE the Red Ranger!" Jasper's face got even redder, if that's possible, out of sheer embarrassment and a tinge of anger, "Well... Well... that pick-up line you used was the lamest one I've ever heard!" Kai stopped laughing and growled at Jasper, his hidden Genetic Power allowing his throat to temporarily morph into that of a tiger, letting loose a deep, throaty growl, "My... lines... are... never... LAME!" Jasper and Kai stayed facing each other, Jasper's face still beet red. You could cut the tension in the room with a knife.

Charlee Devereaux

Charlee snickered at the two boys. "Alright boys calm down it's not that serious." Charlee motioned for Jasper to calm down. She turned to Kai and noticed he looked a little like a tiger. She just thought she was seeing things. "Thank you Kai for that nice comment." Seeing Jasper ticked off made her a little happy. Maybe there was something there or maybe I'm just his little sister like he said. "Well if I'm just his little sister he wouldn't mind me talking to Kai." She thought.

She turned to Kai again. "What were you guys doing?" She asked. "And where is Max? I am so confused right now. Why are we here?" After a few minutes Charlee started to realize on her on why they were there but wanted conformation. She didn't want to actually ask out loud if she was gonna be a power ranger out of fear of looking stupid.

John was walking around holding in his hand what appeared to be a tablet like device as he was typing in something, he then walked into the room where the Kai, Jasper, and Charlee were. "Hey Kai, how are.. oh wait I see some new people have arrived. My name is John Astrid and you two are?"

Kylie/Monica:

"Sorry about the confusion and the unexpected greeting," Kylie said pointing to Kai as she approached the new arrivals. "I am Kylie and this here is my friends Monica." Monica gave a small wave and looked at John as he introduced himself too.

Location: Command Deck, SPD Command

Kai smirked at Jasper, then allowed the tension to ease, at least from his side. He took a step back and to his left as he pointed to the large chair behind him that happened to be facing away from the Rangers and toward the large monitor, "Max is right there. Oiy! Max-san! You might want to turn around a greet our newest arrivals."

Max turned the chair around, "Welcome Charlee and Jasper, Welcome to SPD Command", he stood up and walked over to the new arrivals, shaking Jasper's hand and giving Charlee a cuddle and kiss on the cheek. How have you both been?

Location: Command Deck, SPD Command

Jasper shook Max's hand and watched Max 'cuddle" Charlee and peck her cheek. A wave of emotion swept over him, but not as strong as when Kai hit on Charlee. He crossed his arms, his face an emotionless mask, "So you're Max Noble. It's a... pleasure to finally meet you face-to-face." He looked around the Command Deck, "SPD Command huh? So you're telling me that this is all real and it all works, just like in the show?" Kai placed his hand on his hips, "Not exactly like in the show, but yeah it all works... or at least everything I've seen thus far. It's really quite amazing." Jasper smirked and stared Max in the eyes, "Time to come clean, Max. Young Kai here called me the Red Ranger. I don't think those choice of words were off the cuff. So tell us... why are we here?"

"You here for the same reason Kai called you the Red Ranger, which of course is what you will become if you so chose and for Charlee she shall join the team as the Pink Ranger, if not both of your memory's will be wiped and you will be sent back home, not knowing who we are, sounds far?"

Charlee stared at Max speechless. "Me the Pink Ranger really?" Charlee remember watching the Kimberly the Pink ranger in the movie when she was younger and wanting to be like her. "So I'm gonna be a Power Ranger? Yes!" Realizing how childish she sounded she tried to save face. "So are we gonna blow things up and kill a few people?" She looked to Max and waited for his reply.

John listened to what was all being said and decided to speak up "Charlee, I wouldnt kill unless it was a last resort, also Max I have the plans for the Delta Transport. I just need you to approve of the plans then it can be built in time for the next mission."

Jasper Lockhart Kai Kagawa
Location: Command Deck, SPD Command

Jasper unfolded his arms, about to refuse Max's offer when Charlee spoke up, "Me the Pink Ranger really? So I'm gonna be a Power Ranger? Yes!" Jasper sighed, then a look of shock swept over his face when he heard Charlee's next statement, "So are we gonna blow things up and kill a few people?" Kai, too, seemed taken aback as he dropped his hands from his hips and took a step back, "Uh Max...? Are you sure about this? I mean... this chick has some serious bloodlust and the last thing we need is a Ranger with bloodlust. You remember all those evil Rangers in the tv shows, right?"

Jasper placed a hand on Charlee's shoulder to calm her down as he looked right at Kai, "That won't happen. Not on my watch." Kai smirked, "So that's a yes?" Jasper chuckled, "No that's a maybe. I want to see this technology in action. I want proof that this isn't some hoax." Kai shrugged, "Sure." He pulled out his SPD License and tossed it to Jasper who caught it with his free hand, "That feel fake to you?" Jasper released Charlee's shoulder and ran his hand across the brushed metal. He had to admit, there was weight behind the device. He flipped the License open, causing it to beep and the screen to light up, "Interesting..." He flipped the License closed and tossed it back to Kai, "Still not convinced." Kai caught his License with his right hand, "Ok... how about this?"

He swung his arms in a circular motion as he pulled his right arm back, "SPD..." He then thrust his right arm forward and depressed the hidden morphing activator on the side of the License, causing the front to flip open, "...Emergency!" The screen flashed green as a holographic image of the SPD Green Ranger uniform appeared in front of the License. He jumped into the air and executed a back-flip as the holographic image moved backward and seemed to wash over him, causing the real SPD Green Ranger uniform to appear over his body. He landed in a crouch and looked up at Jasper, smirking as he snapped the fingers on his right hand, causing his helmet to appear over his face. He stood up and brought his right hand across his chest, showing three fingers, "Three!" He then pulled one finger back, creating a two-finger gun out of his right hand as he pointed it at Jasper's head, "SPD Green!" The red lights on the sides of his helmet flashed as the siren in his helmet went off for a moment.

Jasper's jaw dropped when he saw Kai morph. The sequence was, move-for-move, the Power Rangers SPD Morphing Sequence. Jasper was at a loss for words, "That's... not... possible..." Kai crossed his arms, "Convinced now, Jasper?" Jasper simply nodded his head slowly.

Charlee Devereaux

Charlee was embarrassed at this moment while trying to sound tough she sounded like a blood thirsty idiot. Jasper than put his hand on Charlee's shoulder. "That won't happen. Not on my watch." Charlee's mind then floated away. "What am I doing. I shouldn't have said that. Now Jasper is shocked and me and Kai is probably afraid of me." Just then Kai morphed into the Green ranger right infront of her. Charlee's jaw dropped. Charlee walked up to Kai and began touching his helmet and suit. "This is surreal."

Kylie/Monica:

They both laughed a little as Kai proved to them that this wasnt a hoax as he morphed. "I'm sure you guys believe him now right?" Kylie said teasing them. "Or do you need more proof?" If they wanted more, she knew just the perfect K9 to introduce them to.

Now if you 2 have no further questions, I suggest we get a move-a-long with this, John the Case please, Oh and I am sure the plans are fine, put the Base to work on them straight away. Asking for John to give him the case of with the morphers that still remained in it, while waiting he asked Charlee and Jasper "If you chose to take this path, their will be no way out until we succeed with the plans we have created, Are you sure you up for it?"

John opened his white lab coat and brought out a metal case that looked too small to even fit in there

"One step ahead of you Max, and don't ask how it fit in there. To be honest, I don't even know how I got them in there."

John handed the case to Max "I can't wait till I'm in the field, but I know I'm not needed yet." After he said that John pressed a series of buttons on the pad he was holding "And the transport is being built right now."

Jasper Lockhart Kai Kagawa
Location: Command Deck, SPD Command

Jasper reached out and took the SPD License on the far left of the case, sitting in red velvet. He felt the weight of it in his hand and stared at it, "In for a penny, in for a pound, huh? You know... I guess I should have asked this before I took the License... but what exactly will we be fighting? I mean, Power Rangers usually fight some otherwordly evil that needs their kind of power to destroy, so..." Kai uncrossed his arms as he de-morphed in a flash of green, "Power Down." He walked up behind Jasper and placed a hand on his shoulder, "So far, we've fought terrorists in Iran. I get the feeling that our nemesis will be human nature itself. Ne, Max-kun?" Jasper smirked, "Saving humanity from themselves? That sounds like a task worthy of the Power Rangers. Alright, I'm in."

Charlee Devereaux

Charlee reached out and grabbed the morpher. "I guess I accept also." She said in a rather nonchalant tone hiding the fact that she wanted to jump out her skin with excitment. She turned and looked at Jasper "Should we really be doing this? I mean with could really put ourselves in danger."

John turned to Charlee "Well Charlee danger is apart of life, no matter what we do we will at one point in our lives put ourselves in danger. And by doing this you will help make the world a better place."

Charlee and Jasper went through physical and mental, 'Pain Training" so the the other rangers called it, All 5 recieved their abilities through a DNA implantation system within the base, now it was time for their 2nd Mission

All the rangers and Max and John were watching the central screen in the command room.

In other news, a follow up investigation on the attack in Iran last week has taken some interesting turns. The personnel working at the facility described the attack in ways that resembled the fictional Power Rangers,� a news anchor began, What surprises authorities in this investigation are that the personnel describe the same event, perhaps out of fear or secrecy. While officials are decrying the worker's accounts of the events as false misdirection to conceal their lack of security, even puzzling are the small aircraft that the intruders used to both arrive and leave the scene.

The television showed the same footage from the other week of Kai and Monica taking off in their pod craft.

The small, single person aircraft are of an unknown make and origin. What puzzles investigators even more is that these aircraft use no known form of fuel. Investigators suspect that the fuel was a quickly degrading kind of fuel currently unknown to civilians, hinting at a possible U.S. involvement. The White House Spokesman denies this allegation.

The television then switched to a filmed conference in the White House Press Room.

The United States military and government has no knowledge of any such operation or device. The team of costume wearing attackers is currently unknown to us, and we have decided that they are not a threat to national security, though we will be investigating the manner.

"Now onto business, guy's, I have a new mission for you today." Switching over the tv screen to the mission detail. "How is the Delta Transport coming along John?, we will need it for the mission."

"Funny you should mention it Max, but construction finished moments ago." John pressed a few buttons on the tablet and a screen was projected showing the Delta Transport. It looked like a large white rectangular craft with curved wings coming out of it "This is the Delta Transport, it is what you rangers will take to your destination. It holds your bikes and the Delta Cruiser. Don't worry about being detected this thing is fast enough to avoid being detected. The thing does not have any weapons so be careful with it. Don't be picking any fights that involve it directly. Max now would be a good time to tell them what their mission is."

Jasper Lockhart Kai Kagawa
Location: Command Deck, SPD Command

Jasper adjusted his red and black SPD Uniform before crossing his arms, "Wait a sec, John. You're giving us a large aircraft with no weaponry in this day and age and you expect us not to get this thing involved in combat? Really? You know bloody well that every nation on this planet has its own air force! If they view us as a threat, they're going to try to shoot us down!" Kai stepped up behind Jasper and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Easy Jasper... we'll be fine. Besides, even if we do get detected, we'll figure something out. Isn't that one of the strengths of the Power Rangers and Super Sentai? You know, that they always adapt to the situation and find a way out no matter how dire?" Jasper merely grumbled as he awaited information regarding their next mission... or in his case, his first mission.

John replied at Jasper "Weapons should not be needed due to how fast this baby goes, besides you have weapons in your ranger form plus powers. Besides, they'll probably notice it, but you're moving too quick for them to catch. And your altitude is higher than they can shoot. By the time fighters are sent for violating their airspace, you'll already be there, "

"Alright guys, this time around we're doing something big. We're going after a Russian airstrip. Fortunately for us, the same new tanks they are producing are also being stored here. We've got three parts to this mission. The first part is to take out those new prototypes only. If they send anything to attack you, get rid of them too. After this, you're going to take the Delta Cruiser"

"You're going to take the Delta Cruiser, and head to a prototype demonstration for one of their new tanks and destroy it during the demonstration. Everyone needs to see it. The place is 5 miles east. I know it looks like a Jeep, but it's a lot more durable and fast. It should get you there pretty quickly. After that, get back to the Delta Transport."

"After that, I want you to intercept a convoy that's transporting parts for them and destroy the supply trucks. The Delta Transport isn't armed so you'll need to land ahead of it. We're using the Patrol Cycles this time."

"I will updated you all for any changes in the plan over the comm-link but for now suit up and head on out, May the power protect you all."

Location: Command Deck --> Delta Transport, Hangar Bay

Jasper and Kai listened to the details regarding their latest mission. Jasper nodded as Kai rubbed his chin. This wasn't going to be like the last mission. This had multiple parts... and sounded complicated. And it was much too overt for his liking. He turned to Jasper, as weird look in his eyes. And the wild card... their new leader, Jasper and his girlfriend, Charlee. The newest Rangers. Sure they had trained together for the past week, but this will be their first mission as a unit. Kai wasn't sure how this was going to go. He wasn't sure how far he could trust Jasper or even if Jasper is a capable leader. And he really wasn't sure how he was going to handle not being the one calling the shots. Jasper cocked his head with an inquisitive look, "You ok Kai?" Kai blinked and smiled as he chuckled, "Uh... hai hai... I'm fine." Jasper nodded, "Ok. Rangers! Let's move out!"

Jasper bolted out of the Command Deck with Kai and the other Rangers on his heels. Something was bothering Kai and Jasper knew it. He hoped whatever it was wouldn't affect his performance in the field. He also hoped he could live up to everyone's expectations as leader. It's funny really. Jasper never considered himself leadership material. He's always been the shy and introverted one of his friends. Jasper rounded the corner and slid to a stop as the interior hangar bay doors slid open to absolute darkness. The bay's spotlights then flicked on one-by-one to reveal the Delta Transport sitting in the middle of the bay in all her glory. Jasper looked up at the large aircraft and smiled, "Wow..." Kai rounded the corner and jumped to his right to avoid Jasper, not expecting him to have stopped, "Jasper! Why did you--?! Whoa..." He looked up at the massive Delta Transport and whistled, "Kakkoii!" Jasper slapped Kai on the back of the shoulders, "Let's go." Kai nodded as they continued on to the Delta Transport.

Jasper entered first, making his way to the front of the cockpit. He sat down in the Pilot's Seat as Kai took up the Co-Pilot's seat. Jasper cased the controls and gulped. Once the other Rangers made it aboard, he turned around and sheepishly rubbed the back of his head as he chuckled nervously, "So uh... does anyone know how to fly this thing?" Kai just about fell out of his seat with shock. He was going to say something, but he had to admit, Jasper had a point. Kai, too, didn't know how to fly this thing. He hoped one of the other Rangers did.

John's voice was heard in the cockpit "If you want I could fly it to your destination, I can handle all the controls from my end if you want."

Charlee Devereaux

Charlee heard Johns voice from the cockpit. "Well that would help." Charlee sat back and got ready for what she was about to experience. This was probably the most important thing she ever would do in her life. What if she messed up. What if she didn't do a good job. The next thing Charlee knew the the air cover was hovering in the air about to take off. "Alright let's get this thing on the road."

Charlee turned to Monica who was sitting right beside her. "You ready to do this?"

Monica/Kylie:

Kylie and Monica stood with the others as they were given their new assignment and once again it was time for action. Kylie was really excited and she and Monica both morphed into their suits. Charlee looked over at Monica and asked is she was ready. "Oh yes, I am. And I know that you will do just fine. You've been trained. It gets easier once we get into the action." Kylie overheard and mentioned, "Not that the mission is easy." Monica nodded in agreement. "Right."

Jasper Lockhart Kai Kagawa
Location: Delta Transport --> Russian Airstrip

Jasper and Kai strapped in as the Delta Transport took off. They were both pressed into their seats as the DT achieved 85% of its top speed and proceeded to cruise. Jasper turned to Kai who returned the look, "Holy Crap is this thing fast!" Kai smirked and checked the speedometer on his console, "This thing's only at 85% Speed!" Jasper's eyes widened, "85?!" Kai nodded. Suddenly, the G-Forces subsided as the DT hit its cruising altitude and the inertial dampeners kicked in. Moments later they approached the Russian Airstrip.

Jasper unhooked his straps and stood up as he looked out the front window, "That's our target." Kai followed suit and surveyed the area, "Looks quiet." Jasper narrowed his eyes, "The bulk of their security are probably in the hangers guarding the prototypes. Expect heavy resistance." He turned to the ladies and pulled his License, "It's showtime." Kai nodded and pulled his own License as the boys took up positions in formation with the ladies, "SPD Emergency!" In a flash of red and green, Jasper and Kai morphed into their Ranger Forms. Jasper took a deep breath as he relished the rush of power. Kai crossed his arms and chuckled, "Easy big boy." Jasper nodded and made his way to the back as he activated his helmet's comm, "John, find a safe place to land the Delta Transport and send the Cruiser. We should have this mopped up by the time it reaches us." He pressed the cargo bay release as the bay depressurized and the ramp lowered, "Rangers... GO!" Jasper glanced back at Charlee, then jumped out first, followed by Kai.

Jasper held his arms close to his sides as he entered free-fall. Kai did the same, falling in line behind him. At the last minute, Jasper tucked into a ball and executed a front-flip, landing on the tarmac in a crouch, the gravitic impact creating a small crater. Kai, on the other hand, spread his arms and swung his lower body down and forward to create drag, slowing his descent as he, too, landed in a crouch, but with slightly less impact. The boys stood up as the ladies landed behind them. Jasper pulled his Delta Magnums from their holsters and spun them in his gloved hands, "Charlee, take Monica and Kylie and go right. Kai, you're with me, we'll take the left. Meet back here in 15 minutes. Destroy all the prototypes. Try not to harm the people." Kai pulled his Delta Knuckle and Delta Rod from their holsters and combined them to form the Deltamax Striker which he spun once in his right hand, "Ready." Jasper nodded, "Ladies. Be careful." With that, Jasper took off running toward the nearest hangar on the left. Kai nodded to Monica and Kylie before following. So far, so good. But I wonder what Jasper will do when the pressure's really on?

John took is pad where he controlled all of the Delta Transports functions. "Will do Jasper." I have a few modifications to make to the transport, I might have to ditch the transport for we aren't followed. John looked at the blueprints of the transport It seems that I can add some weapons if I take out some unnecessary systems. "This will do nicely"

John then punched in some commands on the pad when everybody left, The transport then activated a cloaking system on the transport "It can't be used when the Transport goes faster than 30% but its a good function to have when its at cruising speed" John said to himself

Charlee Devereaux

"Charlee, take Monica and Kylie and go right." Charlee looked at Jasper. "Right." Charlee motioned for Monica and Kylie to follow her and went on her way. She turned to Kylie. "OK Jasper put me in charge so I'm gonna do my best." Charlee kept on going but ended up taking the girls to a dead end. She turned to the other two. "umm did we go the right way?"

Monica/Kylie:

The two girls followed Charlee until they reached a dead end. "Ummm did we go the right way?" she asked sounding unsure. Kylie stepped up and said, "You should know that things arent always what they seem." She looked at one of the walls. Monica walked up next to her and looked at it too. Monica then pulled out her weapon and fired upon the wall making a small explosion and little smoke. She had hit a secret compartment that hid some weird mchine. Suddenly the wall behind them slid open, luckily nothing made too much noise so they weren't heard. "Come on," Kylie whispered as the walked throught the new door.

Jasper Lockhart Kai Kagawa
Location: Prototype Hangars West, Russian Airstrip

Jasper jogged up to a rear door to the first Hangar and dropped to a crouch next to it. He switched his Magnums to 'Pacification Mode' as he motioned toward the door with his head, "Open it. I'll cover you. You find the Prototypes and dispose of them. I'll handle any resistance." Kai nodded once and moved to the opposite side of the door. He raised his Striker in his right hand and placed his left hand on the door's knob, "Ready?" Jasper tapped the door lightly once with one of his Magnums, "Ready." Kai twisted the knob and felt resistance, "It's locked." He stepped in front of the door and took a few steps back as he raised his Striker, "Fire in the hole..." Jasper turned his head away as Kai fired, blasting the lock right off the door, leaving a hole in the door.

Kai ran forward and gently pushed the door open, entering the Hangar. Jasper followed close behind, still in a crouch. The Hangar was in complete darkness. Jasper whispered, "Kai, visor." Then both whispered, "Night Vision Engage." The interior screen of their visors lit up green as it shifted to Night-Vision Mode. They worked their way around the stacked crates that littered the rear of the Hangar and finally entered the Hangar proper. As they did, the Hangar suddenly became flooded with light. Kai shielded his eyes as Jasper closed them and looked toward the ground, "Night Vision Off!" The Visor's Night-Vision Mode disengaged, but the two Rangers were still blinded by the lights. Jasper raised his head as heard the unmistakable clicking of guns being locked and loaded.

Then all Hell broke loose as a steady wave of bullets flew toward them. Kai took the brunt of the fire since he was standing and stumbled back as sparks flew off his outfit. Jasper brought his left arm up to shield his helmet and held fast in his crouch as sparks flew off his arm. Then something unexpected happened. Jasper felt the locations of most of the shooters enter his mind. He stood up slowly as he felt... something emanate from his body, keying his mind into the locations of people and objects immediately around him (for a visual representation, think Daredevil's Echo Location from the crappy Live-Action Movie, which I own by the way). He unshielded his helmet and took aim with his Magnums, his eyes still closed and partially blinded from the lights. Then he fired, his shots hitting their mark and incapacitating two shooters. He took a step, spun and targeted two more with inhuman precision, and fired. This continued for the duration of the Rangers' temporary blindness... about one minute. What the Terrorists witnessed in that Hangar could only be described as Gun Ballet. Jasper never missed, not once.

The firing stopped as the remaining active Terrorists were stunned. Kai blinked his eyes a couple of times as he walked up to Jasper whose vision had also returned. Jasper still had his arms outstretched, his Magnums aimed at two Terrorists, frozen in place. Kai surveyed the area and saw the bodies on the floor, "Jazz... what happened?" Jasper, too, looked around, "I... don't know..." Kai smirked beneath his helmet, "You weren't blinded by the lights..." Jasper cocked his head, "I was... until a moment ago." Kai's smirk faded, "Are you telling me... that you did all this... while blinded?!" Jasper nodded, "Yes. Don't ask me how. I'm still trying to figure that out. Now kindly dispose of that Prototype before these guys start firing again." Kai raised his Striker and aimed between two Terrorists, right at the Prototype behind them, and fired. The single shot caused the prototype to go up in a ball of fire and scrap metal as the Striker was set to its highest setting.

The explosion shocked the Terrorists back into action as they ducked for cover. Those that weren't near the Prototype began firing at the Rangers again, who also ducked for cover. Then the alarm went off. Kai switched his Striker to 'Pacification Mode' and looked over at Jasper, "Well this is not going at all like we planned. What's our next move?" Jasper thought for a moment, "We need to get out of here. Now that the whole place is on alert, we'll have to split up to take down the Prototypes fast." Kai nodded as the two Rangers emerged from their cover and began firing at the Terrorists, taking them down quickly. They ran for the nearest door only to have that door blown off its hinges, smacking Kai right in the face and knocking him to the floor. Jasper quickly holstered his Magnums and dropped to Kai's side, pulling the door off him, "Kai! You ok?!" Kai shook his head and sat up, "Hai. Genki yo. I'll be fine." He then did a double-take as he planted his hands on the floor behind him to steady himself. Jasper blinked, "What is it Kai?" He then realized Kai was looking past him, toward the door they were headed. Jasper turned around to see that soldiers had entered through the doorway and blocked their path.

Kai stood up as the Rangers turned to make for the rear exit, but stopped quickly as more soldiers had entered the Hangar. Kai and Japser examined their situation as Kai firmly gripped his Striker, "Ok fearless leader. What's Plan B?" Jasper gulped, "I... don't have one." Kai surveyed the soldiers one more time, his mind going into overdrive, "You know... there are a LOT of guys in here... you don't suppose that this is everyone on the base, do you?" Jasper looked around, "Could be... Kai, switch off your comm." Kai turned to Jasper, "Why?" Jasper reached up with his right hand to his helmet, "Just do it. I can't have you getting second thoughts about this." Kai hesitantly shut his comm off as Jasper established a link to the ladies, "Charlee, Monica, Kylie. Listen up. Kai and I are in Hangar One. We're completely surrounded. Here are you orders. Complete the Mission. I don't think they realize there are more of you out there. The defenses at the other Hangars should be sparse. So again I'm ordering you to complete the mission. Take out the remaining Prototypes and meet up with the Delta Cruiser on the tarmac and proceed to Phase 2. We'll buy you as much time as we can. We'll keep their attention on us. Do not come for us. I repeat, do NOT come for us. Monica. Kylie. Make sure the mission comes first. And do not, under any circumstances, allow Charlee to approach Hangar One. Charlee... sweet, innocent Charlee... I... I... I hope you find the happiness and love you so desire... the love I could not provide. Good Bye." With that, Jasper switched his comm off and drew his Magnums, "Ready, Kai?" Kai merely stood there, "You... You're... serious." Jasper turned to Kai as his faceplate slid back to reveal his face, "The Mission can't fail. And I don't want Charlee walking into this." Kai looked at Jasper as his faceplate slid back as well, "Sacrificing yourself for someone else... I didn't think you had it in you. Maybe I was wrong about you." Kai raised his Striker as his faceplate slid back into place. Jasper crossed his Magnums in front of his chest and spun around back-to-back with Kai as his faceplate did the same. Kai leaned back into Jasper, "It was an honor working with you and fighting by your side." Jasper leaned back as well, "Likewise." They both nodded and pushed off each other, launching themselves at the soldiers, guns blazing.

Charlee Devereaux

Charlee heard everything through her helmet. She was horrified at the thought of Jasper getting hurt, but it was something else that bothered her. Hearing that Kai might be in serious trouble overwhelmed her also. She didn't understand it. Her level of fear for Jasper's life was the same as her fear for Kai's life. Did she have a thing for Kai? Jasper did say he only saw her as a sister. This was a big conflict in her mind, but more was at stake. Two people's lives were in danger. Her thoughts of who she liked meant nothing at this moment.

She sat and thought should she try and save them or should she go on with the mission like he said. She finally decided what she should do. "Monica, Kylie you guys are much more experienced at this than me. I think you two should go on with the mission and I'll go save them." Charlee wasted no time. She knew that Monica and Kylie would not let her go or they would try and convince her to stay or even worse try and get Jasper to get her to change her mind. Charlee took off before Monica and Kylie could say anything.

Monica/Kylie:

Charlee took off as Jasper and Kai talked through the morphers and Kylie yelled after her. "Charlee! You heard him!?" Though she kept going and left Monica and Kylie there by themseleves. Monica could tell that Charlee had strong feelings about their red ranger, though she didnt say anything becuase now was not the time. She turned to Kylie and said, "Let her go, we have to complete the mission. It's was important right now." Kylie nodded in agreement and the two continued on on their path. They no sooner made it their designation and Monica spotted their target. She looked over at Kylie and she nodded that she was ready. Monica nodded back and the two of them began their attack. Monica defended Kylie as Kylie destroyed the prototypes and Monica gave her cover. It was about ten minutes when the fighting began to die down. Monica then took on physical attacks and put away her weapon. She looked over at Kylie to make sure she was okay and Kylie was just about done. "Let's end this," she mentioned.

Jasper Lockhart Kai Kagawa
Location: Hangar One, Russian Airstrip

Jasper closed his eyes, trying to channel whatever it was he felt when he was temporarily blinded, but it didn't work. He felt nothing except the impacts of bullets bouncing off his uniform. Kai, on the other hand, did his best to pacify oncoming terrorists. But with only one gun and with way too many targets to factor than humanly possible, it was only a matter of time. Jasper finally opened his eyes and began to fire indiscriminately, acquiring targets as quickly as he could, but even he couldn't see targets faster than they were firing. Jasper then heard a thunk as an object landed at Kai's feet. Jasper whirled as Kai looked down. Jasper was on the move the instant he saw the grenade. He leaped at Kai, shoving him aside as the grenade exploded, engulfing Jasper in a ball of fire.

Kai hit the ground rolling as he rolled to one knee, "Jasper!!" Jasper flew out of the dark smoke rising from the epicenter of the grenade explosion. He landed on his back, his uniform covered in black spots and rips, his Magnums laying in his lifeless hands. Kai dropped his second knee and his Striker as stared at Jasper's unmoving body. The remaining terrorists kept guns pointed at Jasper and at Kai as it appeared Kai was surrendering. Several terrorists closed in on Jasper's body and began to poke and prod him with the barrels of their guns to ascertain whether or not he was dead. That did it. Kai slammed his hands on the ground and roared as he stared at the terrorists poking Jasper's body, "Leave... Him... ALONE!!!"

The terrorists keeping their eyes on Kai backed up, their eyes wide with shock as Kai roared again, this time, his Ranger suit disappearing as his body's mass increased. The terrorists around Jasper turned just in time to see a giant green mass hurtle into them, sending them flying several yards away. Those that weren't in the way were treated to a giant green Gorilla, pardon the term, going Ape-Shit in the middle of their hangar. Kai started swinging his massive arms wildly, sending nearby terrorists flying every which direction. He then grabbed two terrorists and raised them above his head, smashing their faces into each other, not a pretty sight. He dropped their lifeless bodies and beat his chest as he roared again.

The third roar woke Jasper from his not-so-peaceful slumber. He blinked and tried to sit up, only to be met with a face full of Gorilla butt, "Kai...?" Kai turned his head and nodded to Jasper as the remaining terrorists began to come around. Kai turned back as the terrorists opened fire. Kai shielded his face with his massive hand as he shielded Jasper with his massive body. Then with one more defiant roar, Kai launched himself at the nearest group of terrorists. Jasper sat up, tightening his grip on the Magnums in his hands as Kai went to town on the terrorists. But... as they say, all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately for Kai, his would be a painful end. A loud shot rang out as Kai roared in pain and red blood trickled from a wound in his right shoulder. Jasper immediately began to scan the area for the source of the shot, but found none... until a second shot rang out. This time, Jasper saw the muzzle flash and reacted. He raised his right hand, pointed the Magnum toward the muzzle flash, and fired.

Unbeknown to Jasper and unfortunately for the sniper, Jasper's gloved hand had disengaged the Delta Magnums' safety locks when he he knocked out by the explosion. The Delta Magnums were now in 'Normal Mode.' The shot missed the sniper, however, but it did rip through the rafter he was standing on, shredding it in half. Unable to hold the sniper's weight, the rafter crumbled and the sniper fell to his death.

Jasper jumped to his feet and looked around for Kai. He found the Green Ranger on the floor not too far away, terrorists closing in. He ran over to Kai and dropped to one knee to check on him, "Kai! Come on mate!" Kai rolled on to his back and looked up at Jasper, his faceplate sliding back, "Kuso... Sniper..." Jasper glanced at Kai, "I don't see any wounds." Kai winced, "They're under the suit... didn't think I'd be vulnerable in the ape form... thought wrong." Jasper nodded, "One hit your shoulder, where's the other?" Kai grunted, "Leg. I'll be fine. Hurts like Hell though." Jasper nodded and looked around as the terrorists kept their guns trained, unable to believe that these two men were still alive, "Looks like this is it... our last stand." Kai reached up with his uninjured arm and grabbed Jasper by his arm, "Get out of here." Jasper turned back to Kai, "What? I'm not leaving you!" Kai gritted his teeth, "Baka Yarou!! I'm a liability... to you and to the mission! Besides... Charlee's waiting for you." Jasper froze as untapped emotions flooded his body. Kai nodded, "I know you were ready to sacrifice yourself, but you don't have to. Not now. I think we've bought them enough time. With me active and uninjured, both of our survival rates were pretty good. But think about it, Jazz. I can't use my gun-arm and one of my legs is in massive pain. I can't move and I can't fight. If you try to protect me and save me, your survival rate is next to nil." He lowered his arm and picked up his Striker that just so happened to be next to his body, "I'll cover you as best I can..." His faceplate slid back closed as he tried to take him with his off-hand and through massive pain.

Jasper placed the butt of one of his Magnums on top of Kai's Strike, gently forcing it down. Kai looked up as Jasper stood up, his grip tightening even more on his Magnums. Kai was right. He had been ready to sacrifice, not only his own life, but Kai's as well for the mission... and for Charlee. With Kai in his current condition, Jasper's survival rate wasn't looking too hot since he would have no choice but to stay near Kai to protect him. Unless he fled. The Jasper who entered this Hangar would have ran without hesitation. Jasper stared out at the copious amounts of terrorists still standing and active in the hangar as he spoke softly, but loud enough for Kai to hear, "If you had told me to abandon you when we first walked in here, I probably would have. But now... you're asking me to abandon a friend... a friend that was ready to sacrifice his life, not only to save my own, but to preserve the sanctity of my body. I can't do that Kai." Jasper's body began to glow a very dull red, almost unnoticeable by the naked eye, "I think I finally understand what happened when we were blinded. It's the same as when you shifted forms. It's emotion, Kai. Strong emotion." He began to fold his Magnums and combine them as he continued to speak, "I don't want to kill people... and when I found 'Pacification Mode,' I thought that we might be able to do this with no bloodshed. I was wrong..." Kai continued to stare at Jasper, "Jasper..." Jasper closed his eyes, "What I'm about to do goes against everything I was raised to believe. I am about to become that which I despise... that which I tried my hardest to stay away from... and that which I tried to protect Charlee from. Despite all that... I cannot allow someone I care about to die because of my inability... no... unwillingness to do what is necessary. May God forgive me for what I'm about to do." Kai sat up and cocked his head, "Ummm... I may regret asking... but... what are you about to do?" Jasper finished combining his Magnums, "I'm getting us out of here. For Charlee." The combination whined to life as all the connections were made, "Hybrid Magnum." With his eyes still closed, Jasper felt a pulse emanate from his body, like before. He took in the surrounding area in extreme detail as the pulses kept coming. He knew exactly where to strike for maximum efficiency. He activated his helm's translator so that his words would be spoken in Russian, "If you value your lives, flee this hangar. Now. You have five seconds." He switched the translator off and waited for exactly five seconds. Then he raised the Hybrid Magnum with both hands, aimed with almost inhuman precision, and fired. The terrorists scattered as the rifle blast ripped through five terrorists that happened to be lined up, a barrel with tank fuel, and the hangar wall behind it, blowing a large hole through the wall. Then the tank fuel went up in flames, starting a chain reaction of explosions around the perimeter of the hangar. From the outside, Hangar One instantaneously went up in a huge ball of fire.

Charlee Devereaux

Charlee searched and searched for Kai & Jasper but could not find them. She ran from room to room but being cautious at the same time. She knew that if she got caught she'd mess up the mission and that's one thing she didn't want to do. Charlee was really scared. She felt like she wasn't ready. She felt like Jasper put her in charge and she didn't want to let him down. She had to find Jasper. She loved him. He's the only person she has in her life right now. He's all she's got and then there's Kai. His charm won her over almost instantly. She didn't realize it until she was searching for the two guys that she had a major crush on Kai as well as Jasper.

As she turned the corner she saw a room. She heard two male voices and thought it was Kai and Jasper. She entered the room only to find that she found the room of the leader of this operation. She was about to run away when she overheard the men talking. "This should be great. Everything is going well he should be pleased." Charlee could barely hear the men so she went inside the room. The men didn't see her when she came in. She hid behind a big desk. she continued to listen to the men. "What's the word on the mission." the first man asked. "Everything is going as planned." He pulled out a disk. "This disk contains all the plans." One of the henchmen interrupted the men. "I'm sorry to bother you sirs but we have a problem." One of the men turned to him. "Well don't just stand there what is it?" The man continued to speak. "Two male intruders have broken in and have attacked our men." Charlee heard this and knew the two men they were speaking of. "Ok well let's handle this. Get your best men on the job." Just then Charlee mad a mistake and knocked over a bottle on top of the deck. The men knew she was there.

The two men walked over to the desk only to find no one there as they turned around one of the men met Charlee's foot to his face. She turned to the other and kicked him in the stomach. She turned around to run out. "Don't just stand there get her!" One of the men yelled. The henchmen blocked the door. They started attacked Charlee. Charlee did a backwards flip and landed on top of a desk the men surrounded her. She did five backward flips on the desk and the men tried to grab her. On the last flip she flipped over the men. The followed her and she began taking them out. The men then called in reinforcements. Charlee was able to take the first 20 but more and more started crowding the huge room. Charlee was able to go for a while but then began to get winded. The men were no problem for her it was just she was getting tired. Charlee was just about to grab the disk when she heard a huge explosion. For a second Charlee remember Kai and Jasper. The men began shooting at her. They saw as the bullets bounced off of her suit. The men fought her away from the disk. The man pulled out a grenade. "This worked on the other two." He said. Kai and jasper. "What did you do to them!." She yelled. The man began to laugh. "They're gone now." Charlee began to get angry. Rage began to build up. The men started looking dumb. Charlee didn't understand why. She looked down to see she wasn't there anymore. She was invisible. Charlee realizing this used this to her advantage and started taking out more of the men.

The two other men realized that she was tough. The decided to listen to the other man and use the grenade. This might help. The two men left the room with all the men in it. The set off the grenade and left. Charlee didn't realize until it was to late. The grenade went off. The room exploded. Charlee law there her suit torn and ripped. The other men dead she's the only one alive. The two men came back up to her. She tried to grab on of their legs but he kicked her hand. She then blacked out. One of the men picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. "Let's take her to a better place."

Monica/Kylie:

The two of them finished the job and looked around. Kylie then put on a worried look. "Something doesn't feel write." Monica nodded in agreement and said, "I'll try to get a hold of them." She called all three of their other team mates and none of them answered. Monica then exchanged the same look and looked at Kylie for an answser. "Something must have happened. We should follow the way Charlee went and see what we can do," Kylie finally suggested after about a minute of thinking. She then made her way with Monica behind her. The two of them didn't make a sound and were dead silent. They learned that special skill from their days in their force and knew that if they needed to communicate they had signals they could give. They knew that they weren't the only ones in the building so they had extra precuation.

No sooner Kylie peacked around and saw their fellow rangers, but the site wasn't pretty. Jasper and Kai were no where in sight but Charlee was being carried away. Monica had to hold back a gasp and she looked over at Kylie. Luckily while looking over the scene, she had an idea. She signaled her idea and Monica nodded and they split appart. Monica looked at the men standing there with their weapons and she kept her eyes on them, after a moment of gathering her energy she sped across the scene using her super speed ability and grabbed each other weapons, she then tossed them to Kylie who was soaring up above and grabbed all the guns. The men were shocked and confused of what just happened. Then Kylie dropped all the weapons causing them all to break and no longer usuable. Monica and Kylie then joined back up together and held up their weapons on the men. Who held their arms up in surrender. Kylie went over to Charlee and helped her up as she ragained consciousness.

Jasper Lockhart Kai KagawaLocation: Russian Airstrip

As the girls regrouped, they were suddenly surrounded by Russian Troops, reinforcements summoned by the explosion of Hangar One. They levelled their AK-47s on the girls as the weaponless troops lowered their hands and smirked. They went for their arms at the feet of the girls when a loud neighing bellowed through the air. Half of the troops turned while the other half kept their guns trained on the girls. As if from a Old Western, a horse emerged from the smoking ruins of Hangar One, Jasper riding it bareback, the Delta Magnums split and being wielded like six-shooters. A second look forced a look a shock to spread across the troops' face as they realize the horse was green and at full gallop. Jasper yelled as his Ranger Sense went off like crazy. Knowing full well that Pacification Mode was still disengaged on his Magnums, Jasper chose his shots, aiming only for their gun hands. Kai, running on pure adrenaline, chose the most effective path he could think of and wove his way through the troops as Jasper disarmed them one-by-one. After about half of them were disarmed, the other half of the troops began to open fire. But it was too late. Jasper had figured out how to tune and read his Sense like a computer. He was able to anticipate the directions of shots and, therefore, could shout course corrections to Kai who dodged the shots like a ninja horse. Once all of the troops were disarmed, Kai trotted up to the girls as an armored jeep rolled up to them. Kai reared back and neighed as Jasper held his guns in the air and fired once like an Old West Gunslinger.

Then suddenly Kai bucked, throwing Jasper off his back before collapsing to the ground and morphing back into himself (still in Ranger form). Jasper rolled to his feet as he kept his guns trained on the soldiers. He jogged over to Kai and knelt at his side, "Hey buddy, you ok?" Kai looked up and nodded, "Hai... I think I over-did it. I don't suppose you have a pocket knife on you?" Jasper stood up, "We'll see. Ladies, get Kai on the Cruiser. I'll cover you." He kept his guns trained on the troops as Charlee, Monica, and Kylie picked Kai up and placed him in the back of the Cruiser before hopping in themselves. Jasper jumped into the driver's seat and fired a warning shot at the feet of the nearest trooper before holstering his Magnums, "Dosvadanya!" He floored the gas pedal as the Cruiser took off toward the Prototype Demonstration. After they were out of visual range of the troops, Kai de-morphed, obviously in pain, blood dripping from his right shoulder and left thigh. Jasper reached over and opened the glove compartment of the Cruiser, glancing over when he could, splitting his attention between the compartment and the road. He finally found what he was looking for and pulled out a pocket knife, closing the compartment. He tossed the knife behind him at Monica, "You two were in the military right? Dig those bullets out of Kai. We're going to need him for Phase 2."

Monica/Kylie:

Jasper told them help Kai into the cruiser and they did so. They laid him out so the blood would slow down and as they were in a somwhat safer place Jasper tossed a knife to Monica and said, "You two were in the military right? Dig those bullets out of Kai. We're going to need him for Phase 2." She sighed, doing this kind of stuff was what she didn't like about the military. "Okay." Kylie crawled over the seat and ripped up a blanket that was back there and used to help clean up the mess and provide somewhat of a bandage. Monica sighed and took a deep breathe. She didnt want him to hurt any more and before she did anything she said to him, "Just hold still Kai, the best you can. It will hurt. Though the more you stay still the faster I can get it out." As Kai relaxed she started the small procedure. Within in minutes she was done and she threw the bullets out of the cruiser so they wouldnt be seen again.

Kylie then wrapped his injuries and before hand cleaned his wounds so they wouldnt get infected. She nodded at Monica indicating she did a good job and she then helped Kai sit up. "Okay we're all set. How are you feeling now?" she asked. She knew he would still be in some pain but at least they got one of the bigger dangers out of him. When they complete the mission, she would suggest he go get proper care by some one more certified.

Charlee Devereaux


Charlee sat there disappointed in herself. Not only did she mess up the mission by not finishing what she was assigned but she almost got her self captured. She would have if it weren't for Monica and Kylie. Charlee felt horrible. She was happy to see Jasper again. She thought she had lost him something she thought would never happen. Hearing him say what he say about her made her heart sink, but she remembered all those times that he dismissed her advances. Maybe she was just his little sister. She loved him more but he didn't love her the same way.

She looked over and saw Kai in pain. Over the weeks she had been in America she grew fond of Kai. As Monica began to dig the bullets from his body Charlee couldn't help but wince everytime she heard him cry out in pain. She moved over to his side. She held his head up and began to rub his head. "Shhhh...She's almost done." She stared down at Kai. Seeing him in pain hurt her. She wished she could do something to help but knew it nothing could be done. She looked at Jasper and then looked at Kai and sighed. She began rubbing Kai's head some more. She hoped she did better during phase 2 of the mission then she did during phase 1.
