Cloverfield Rpg

Plot: A Bunch of survivors try and make it out of the city alive while a giant monster destroys their surroundings. I know it’s a pretty basic summary but there will be more added into it to make it more interesting and more action orientated.
Setting: Fictionalized Version Of Los Angeles
*I will let you decide how much you want to fill in, I will however let you know that the best bios will get in! I will be looking for quality over quantity the more unique you can make your character the better*

SO, YOU WANNA MAKE IT TO DAY BREAK
You want your character to survive, it’s rather simple. Just follow these simple rules and you can tell everyone that you survived the Cloverfield attacks.
WRITE DECENT POSTS
This is your time to do what you want with your character, it’s that simple. You can be good, you can be evil, or you can just try get out of their alive. Give your characters depth make us care for them, make us want them to live. Make friends and enemies, rivals and lovers. Your posts should have some thought to them and refer to the story as much as possible. A short post containing
George walked into the market and grabbed a packet of cheese doodles. He opened them though they smelt off began to eat them anyway.
Mark walked in and asked “Can I have one?”
That will put you up for a good case of death. I understand that everyone writes at a different level and ill be able to tell whose trying and who’s not. As long as you try what more could I ask for.
If you are going to be away for 5+ days just send me a pm and let me know and ill look after your character, if you wonder off for a week without a word don’t be surprised to come and find your character dead. I may let you have another character put in but it will depend on why you left, I can understand if you couldn’t get to comp or whatever.
LOST AND DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO
Just send me a pm ill give you a task to accomplish or better yet pm another player work with them, get a couple of you together to double cross the rest or something along those lines. Work with others, they are after all in the same boat as you are.
READ OTHER PEOPLES POST
Keep up with the story so you can add to it and not get too lost, I can understand that after a weekend their may be a few posts to get through I don’t expected you to read 80 posts or whatever just do your best.
HOUSE RULES
1. You can not kill or seriously injure any character being played by someone with out permission from myself. Feel free to start fights with them but be fair about it. You can work out things with other characters if you so wish during these fights, be my guest. Just be sure to get that players permission. That is a key thing I don’t want to get any pms saying such and such did this without asking or whatever. If you think its going to be a bit more serious please let me know.
2. If you have something to say in a post please use OOC (out of character) and IC (in character) to avoid confusion.
OOC: Hey I like what you did last post man that was cool keep up the good work!!!
IC: Jack kept patrolling the city like he did every Friday.
Just try to keep these to a minimum in the game, and please keep OOC game related
3. THE PLOT – has a general outline and will change to fit how you guys act. It is not set in stone and if you got something you’d like to do flick me a pm telling me the idea and ill see what I can do for you. Ill post scenes where I see fit hopefully one a week at the end of every week. I may send you plot lines or tasks to achieve SO CHECK PMS EVERYTIME YOU ARE ONLINE. If you never hear from me then you are doing fine, but Pm if you have any queries about your posts or storyline. I may put in mini scenes to move the story along or kill off someone. You can score major brownie points by pming me with ideas you have that you’d like to see added. The game needs to be fun for everyone not just a couple of people so if you feel like your being neglected just say so and ill up the anti on you.
4. Nothing is personal it is just a game and if I do kill your character it’s for the good of the story and ill let you put another one into the game. I reward the good and punish the bad. The characters that survive/win will be the strongest, not the best. Good guys don’t always win and bad people don’t always get their due. People that try their best and it shows will prove well in this game.
