Episode 1: The Gathering

Kyle's Home, Stone Cayon

Bradley opened the door entering into the room of his best friend, Kyle who lay across the bed facing up. Kyle had his head covered by a pillow. Muffled moans and sobs could be heard from the pillow. The room smelled of Vanilla and cherries, Bradley notice the sell was strongest near the stereo system. Kyle had several candles lit around the system. Bradley walked over to the stereo the machine was in between cd tracks. The red LCD screen flash from 9 to 10, the song began to play immediately Bradley let out a groan as he heard Listen to your heart play.

Bradley quickly pressed the stop button ending the song. Kyle moved the pillow from over his face. “Dude WTF?” Kyle said angrily. Bradley hesitantly reset the CD player back to the tenth song; in his act of defiance Bradley turn the volume down to a whisper. This seemed to satisfy Kyle enough for him to hide under the pillow again. Bradley walked to the middle of the room before finally speaking, “She dumped you again?”

Kyle did not speak he the movement of the pillow signified Bradley was correct in his assumption. “So this is why you miss the class meeting, because you were torturing yourself with this crappy music and burning your nostrils with these smells?” Bradley asked, but it was presented more as a statement. Kyle moved the pillow from his face once again. “No. Alicia made that mixed cd for our fifth week anniversary. The candle was a gift from out fourth week first kiss anniversary.” Kyle retorted he smile thinking back on those times. “Besides it’s only the second week of school why are you calling class meetings already?” Kyle asked.

“Unlike last year’s administration I want us to have a purpose, a mission, a dream. Heck, I will even settle for a short term goal, as long as we do something. I’m tired of SGA being seen as the dance and car wash committee. Had you come to the meeting you would heard the speech.” Bradley answered. Kyle rolled his eyes at his friend’s statement. “I missed one of your speeches what shall I ever do.” Kyle said in a mocking tone.

“Look I’m sorry Alicia and you broke up but, you can’t flake on your responsibilities. You’re my VP; if something should happen to me then you’ll have to take over.” Bradley said moving towards Kyle’s computer. “Ok Obama, you act as if you live a dangerous life style. The only time you hurt yourself is a paper cut.” Kyle said. Bradley thought about the Time Cube mission he had been recruited into a few days ago by the Watcher. Bradley was still wrapping his head around the concept of his new role as a Power Ranger. He had been successful with the new and old space rangers defeating Entropy but now he was going to be alone with ranger he did not know. He was still unsure if the Watcher was right in selecting him, he found it odd the new red ranger was not asking.

Kevin (red space ranger) had lead Bradley and the other rangers successfully with great confidence. Yet, Bradley was the one whom the Watcher chosen. During his thoughts Bradley had pulled out Kyle’s chair taking a seat; moving the chair shook the table enough to end the flying squirrel screen saver to a giant picture of Alicia blowing a kiss at him. “A cyber shrine? Really…wow this is more serious than I thought. ” he said with disgust. “Brad, she was my first love.” Kyle said he turned his head to face Bradley. Bradley look over his shoulder meeting Kyle’s eyes, he could see the hurt in the boy’s face. “I’m sorry. I know you hurting but, when you guys were together you mostly fought, over nonsense. It might be best if you guys were not together.” Bradley calmly said.

Kyle took offense to Bradley’s attempt to put things in perspective. Kyle for the first time since his friend’s arrival sat up in his bed. “Look until you have been in love nah, have had a girlfriend don’t sit there casting your judgment on my failed relationship. In fact don’t do anything for me right now.” Kyle paused, “As you said just leave me here to torture myself with crappy music and burn out my nostrils.” Kyle finished, he plopped back down on the bed covering his face once again.

Bradley stood up walked over to the stereo increasing the volume. The CD track had return to the beginning. Bradley turned to face his friend again but decide against speaking. He quietly left the room closing the door behind him.

San Angeles Desert

EJ landed hard on the ground with a loud thud. She let out a few expletives before looking up at the hole she fell through. “This should give me some before” EJ started to say. Trill materialized before her holding his sword in his right hand. “Thought you could get away that easily?” Trill grunted. EJ stood up brushing the dirt away from her butt, she look up at the hole again then at Trill. “You call that easy?” she asked.

“Give me the tuner. I won’t ask again.” Trill said pointing his sword at her neck. EJ looked down at the tip of the sword. “That sounds like a very tempting offer but, I’m going to have to decline. Goes against my rule about helping evil doers take over galaxy.” EJ joked slowly inching her neck away from the blade.

“I was hoping you say that. Get her!” Trill yelled. Dropping through the hole, several cybermen landed around EJ. EJ reached in her pocket pulling out her morpher. She spun the morpher in her hand a few times before striking her morph ready pose. “Overdrive Accelerate!” she yelled while engaging in her morphing gestures. Within seconds EJ’s body was engulf in pink energy her suit and helmet formed around. She stepped out of the energy as the Pink Drive Ranger. Two cybermen lunge at her, the pink ranger side step the first cyberman while jabbing the other in face. The cyberman fell to the ground while the first one turns around right into right side kick to the midsection.

A few kicks and punches later the pink ranger stood triumph over her mechanical enemies. An annoyed Trill fired two green laser beams from his eyes at the Pink Ranger. The two beams collided into some near by rocks causing them to break apart flying in all directions. Two small rocks smacked the pink ranger in the head, luckily her helmet protect her from the impact but impaired her helmet’s vision. Trill jumped in the air bringing his sword down over his head, he slashed downward knocking the ranger back. He swung his sword to the left hoping to make a horizontal slash across the ranger’s neck. The pink ranger wasn’t too dazed from the slash to dodge the slash. She countered with a body punch. Trill snorted from the pain and again when the ranger punched the same spot again.

The pink ranger ran from Trill heading through the cave. Once the pain had subsided, Trill return to his task of killing the pink ranger; Trill fired several laser beams at the ranger. The beams hit the rocks above the ranger’s head, dust filled the air making it hard her to see and breathe. “And they say to be weary of second hand smoke. It’s the laser singed boulders you have to watch out for.” Pink ranger said in between coughs. The ranger yanked her drive defender from the holster aimed at the roof. She shot a series of seven strategic blasts at roof. The ranger managed to cause the roof to collapse in between Trill and herself.

Trill angrily punched the rock wall hoping to bust through it. Sadly with no avail Trill stood in front of the wall disappointed at his action. “This is far from over.” Trill said.

Nick Smith

Nick sat on the side of the road leading into Stone Canyon in his car, smoking a cigarette. He exhales a mouthful of smoke and thinks 'Man, that Watcher guy sent me HERE? Why? There's nothing happening. At least i got to bring my car though.'. He then rubs the dashboard and smiles. He then sighs and thinks 'Maybe he sent me to the wrong.....'. He then sees an explosion not too far away. He stares in the direction of the blast and thinks 'Ok, so maybe 'I' was wrong.'. He takes his cigarette from his mouth and flicks it on the floor. He wheel spins away and drives towards the scene of the explosion. He arrives to see a pile of rubble by a what looked like a cave. 'What the hell happened HERE? It looks like a fight went down.'. He looks over and sees a few blasts shoot out of the top of the cave he had seen. 'Well, ya don't see THAT everyday.'. He makes his way to the top to see a girl climbing up through a hole. He extends his hand to her and says with a smile 'Hey there. Need a hand? No pun intended.'. As he reaches forward, his Morpher shows and the girl sees it

The Power Node, Aquitar

"You are prepared, Tideus".

The statement from Delphine, White Aquitar Ranger and leader of the team, was not a question. The other four members of the team, together with their human ally, Billy Cranston, stood in a circle in the seashell-like building.

“We cannot neglect our world, but this is a battle that must be fought” she continued.
“The fate of Aquitar, and the galaxy, will rest in the hands of you and your colleagues.”

“I understand, Delphine.” Replied Tideus, solemnly.

Billy managed a smile and produced a pair of small items – one resembling a wristwatch, the other a metal fan.

“Cestro and I made these in case you ever needed to stay on Earth again. This” – he pointed at the watch – “should let you use our old communicator grid. It’s also got a small chameleon circuit which lets you pass for human. Not everywhere on Earth is as welcoming as Angel Grove”.

Cestro continued. “The other item is a refinement of the molecular hydro atmospheric generator. It will purify and peroxidise Earth’s water enough for you to fully rehydrate.”

Tideus pressed his palms together in thanks. He placed the items into a small, coral-like pack with a handful of other possessions, then stood straight. Corcus and Aurico raised their fists across their chests in salute, followed by the others. From Billy’s face it was clear he wished he was going instead.

“Say Hi to the other rangers if you see them!” he said, wistfully.

“I will not let you down. May the power protect you all.” responded Tideus, returning the salute. Then, in a rippling yellow glow, he teleported.

Angel Grove, Earth

The dryness of the air hit Tideus as he materialised on Earth. The area, though was familiar; the lakes between Angel Grove and the neighbouring Stone Canyon. It was a known safe spot, with few visitors. Even now, it was green and unspoilt. The Watcher had given few directions as to how to find the other Rangers, but long experience said that Rangers of any world were unlikely to keep a low profile. Tideus closed his eyes, concentrated, and let his telepathic powers search for his human allies.

EJ, back in civilian form began climbing up the side of the cave. Before demorphing she made an opening via her drive defender. Trill's angry voice echoed through out the cave.
EJ feared the rock wall would not hold him much longer and they would have to fight once again. Her chest still ached from Trill's slash. She thought the ranger suits protected the user from all blade and blast attacks. "Of course I could be dead if it wasn't for the suit." she thought.

"Hey there. Need a hand? No pun intended." a voice rained down into the hole. EJ saw a hand follow behind the voice; she noticed a black and yellow wrist mounted morpher on the wrist.

She grabbed the hand using it to pull her out of the hole. "Thanks" she said flashing a smile. She continued to hold on to boy's hand once she looked into his hazel eyes. "Nice hardware." she said looking at his morpher once again. "I'm EJ, the yellow drive ranger." she added still smiling and shaking his hand.

Kyle's house, Stone Canyon

"Sorry Mrs. Jenkins my attempts at breaking Kyle’s funk were unsuccessful. You might not see me for a couple of days." Bradley said leaning again living room wall.

Mrs. Jenkins, Kyle's mother, rose from the couch walking over to Bradley. "Please don't give up on him. You guys have been friends since you guys were in diapers." she said pointing to a picture of the two friends inside a playpen.

Bradley looked at the picture chuckled then as quickly as the warm sensation came it went. "I wouldn't do that. We've been through too much together to let this end our relationship. However, if I want our friendship to thrive it will be best if we distance ourselves." replied Bradley.

Bradley move towards the door before Mrs. Jenkins spoke again, "What will you do with this time a part?" She asked.

"I plan on being pretty busy. Got a lot of things to prep for." Bradley said stepping half way out the door. "You mean with SGA? Mr. President." Mrs. Jenkins happily said.

"Yea and another hobby I recently picked up. Speaking of I really need to head out. Don't worry we'll be back together in no time. Why does it sound like I just broke up with my boyfriend?" Bradley asked hoping she wouldn't answer. Bradley closed the door behind him.

San Angeles Desert

"Hey there. Need a hand? No pun intended." a voice rained down into the hole. EJ saw a hand follow behind the voice; she noticed a black and yellow wrist mounted morpher on the wrist.

She grabbed the hand using it to pull her out of the hole. "Thanks" she said flashing a smile. She continued to hold on to boy's hand once she looked into his hazel eyes. "Nice hardware." she said looking at his morpher once again. "I'm EJ, the yellow drive ranger." she added still smiling and shaking his hand.

Or err, Black Ranger for short.'. He hears a voice shouting out from the cave and says 'Is there someone else down there EJ?'

EJ let go of Nick's hand even though she wish she didn't have to. "Pleased to meet you EJ. I guess I found myself another Ranger that this Watcher guy chose. My name's Nick, RPM, Ranger Operator Series Black. Or err, Black Ranger for short." Nick said. "Didn't know ranger titles could be so formal." EJ mockingly said. Trill's voice emerged from the hole. Hearing his voice EJ felt her chest ache once again, she shook off the feeling when Nick inquired about the voice, "Is there someone else down there EJ?" EJ reached into her pocket pulling out a gold bracelet. "Yeah he's really upset that I have this." she said examining the bracelet.

"The Watcher sent me here to intercept Trill from getting his hands on this. He said that it would help in locating the other the Time Cube pieces. Trill and his robotic goons almost had this but I swoop in and swiped from them” EJ said triumph ringing in her voice; she smiles at her impressive feat. “Anyway once I had this that’s when the chase sequence occurred followed by my Alice in Wonderland inspired drop. Fast forward to a small fight, I managed to escape and now I’m standing in front of you.” EJ continued. Trill’s voice was closer than before it would only be a matter of time before Trill would find the two rangers.

Highway, Stone Canyon

Bradley drove down the highway in his 2009 Saturn Vue. His fingers tapped on the steering wheel as he listened to Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyes Peas. “I’m so 3008 and you’re so 2000 and late.” Bradley sung. He didn’t want to think about anything, he just wanted to live in the moment.

The past year had been filling with many things that he had to think about it. What type of flowers should his mother is buried with? Make sure the article in the paper was right about the time of the wake and funeral. Did he order enough campaign buttons? Was he ready to handle the Delta Megazord alone? Should he rescue Lauren from Griptox or fight Razor?

All these thoughts filled his head like a balloon. And now he had to deal with hunting down Time Cube pieces while fixing his friendship with Kyle. Now was not the time for thinking, this was a time for enjoying the day whatever it may bring. Bradley had become lost in a daze almost as if he was in a trance. Before long Bradley found himself at the cross cities lake, the lake between Angel Grove and Stone Canyon.

San Angeles Desert

Nick smiles at EJ and says 'Wow, sounds like you've been having some fun huh?'. Trill's voice seems to get louder and closer. Nick sees EJ hold her chest. He says 'Hey, are ok? Seems like you've hurt yourself there.'. But before she can answer, Trill's robot's emerge as if from no where.'Oh great. Just when i get a break from the Grinders, i gotta deal with these tin cans.'. He looks at EJ and says 'You head for my car ok? It's right there.'. He points towards his car then turns back and says 'I'll take care of these guys and meet you there.'. He turns to face the approaching robots and calls out 'RPM, GET IN GEAR!'. He morph's into his Ranger form, draws his Nitro Blaster and transforms it into the Nitro Sword. He then says 'EJ.......... GO!'. He then charges at the robots full speed

Nick smiles at EJ and says “Wow, sounds like you've been having some fun huh?” “Yeah it’s been a real party.” EJ sarcastically said rolling her eyes. Trill's voice was louder and closer than before. “Hey, are ok? Seems like you've hurt yourself there.'' EJ liked that Nick was concern for her but; she was upset the one slash was still causing her so much pain. Before she could respond a cyberman appeared out of her hole. Nick pushed EJ behind and then instructed her to run to his car. She put the gold bracelet in her pocket but refused to leave.

“Maybe we should just go. Trust me if one of metal heads is here Trill can’t be too far behind. And you do not want to tangle with him.” She pleaded, she touch her chest again. However, the female ranger’s words fell on deaf ears. Nick had already morphed before her eyes issuing another command, “EJ.......... GO!” Against her better judgment EJ slowly walks backwards towards the car scanning the area for any sign of cybermen or Trill. Once she was sure there was no surprise guest, EJ turns running towards Nick’s car slamming door once inside. She peers through the window watching the Black RPM Ranger fight the cyberman.

Cross Cities Lake

Bradley finally out of his trance parked near the edge the forest between the road and the lake. Bradley began trekking through the forest he felt as if he was following or being lead towards something but, he wasn’t quite sure what it was. The coolness of the forest came as a relief; the sun was usually hot. On the ride to the lake Bradley had his suv’s ac on full blast.

Bradley could feel the warmth once again as he stepped out of the thicket of the forest. There was the lake before him glimmering from the sun’s rays. He saw a couple of kids playing in the water and an old man fishing off a tree. Other than those individuals the area was scarce of life. “Why am I here?” Bradley thought he felt existential in his thought. Bradley was not thinking in the grand scheme where do I fit in life thoughts but, what was drawing him to this location.

The sound of the vehicle was a rude interruption to the tranquillity of the lakeside.

The driver’s emotions were raw and confused, his proximity and… something…. making him a beacon as he trekked through the otherwise calm forest. From the shelter of the treeline, Tideus watched the driver head out to the lake. Young – so very young! Still, he was obviously in need of some help… and Tideus’ memories of the local area were probably out of date. Refocussing on the physical world, he walked towards the human.

“Greetings, friend. Is something troubling you?”. In open air, the Aquitian’s voice sounded rippling and distorted to human ears.

San Angeles Desert

Nick fights through the Cybermen. He slashes one, and grabs another by the wrist and says 'Grinders are ALOT tougher than these junkbots.'. He swings it around and crashes it into a few other Cybermen. Trill crawls out of the hole that EJ escapes from and Nick says 'Oh man. That's one UGLY face.'. He summons his Rocket Blaster and blasts Trill and says 'I guess it's time to go.'. He runs towards his car and slides across the hood. He powers down and and gets in. He starts the car and smiles at EJ and says 'Hold on tight.'. He slams his foot on the accelerator and speeds away. Trill stands screaming in anger 'AAAAARGH!'. He grabs one of the Cybermen and says 'Who was that? There should've been 1 Ranger here. NOT TWO!'. The Cyberman shakes his head and Trill throws him to the floor. Nick smiles at EJ again and says 'Well, i guess that wasn't so hard right? YOU got that bracelet thing, and I met another Ranger. It's a good day so far huh?'

Cross Cities Lake

“Greetings, friend. Is something troubling you?” a distorted voice said behind Bradley. Bradley a little startled, turn to face the origin of the voice. He look at the individual he seemed friendly and inviting, once again Bradley felt drawn. "Um troubling nah not really. I have a lot of things going on that's all." Bradly said. He looked at the lake taking a deep breath before speaking, "Just a lot of things, I was thinking if could handle it or not. In the midst of my thinking I said something stupid to my best friend and now he doesn't want to talk. But it has to be put on the back burner because I have something more important to deal with. At least I think I can deal with it."

Bradley look back at the stranger he wasn't sure why he speaking so calmly with him but, he was relieved to talk about it. "I'm sorry I don't mean to unload on you like this. You probably came here to enjoy the scenery and here I go talking about my troubles." Bradley laughed.

San Angeles Desert

Trill checked his wound from the black ranger's weapon it left a little singe mark but nothing serious. Trill watched the two rangers drive off across the desert. The last of the cybermen climbed out of the ranger made hole. "Shall we go after them?" asked one of the cybermen. Trill shook his head. "No let's fall back. Just in case there is are more rangers waiting for us. We'll catch up to them." Trill said gripping the handle on his sword tighter.

'Well, i guess that wasn't so hard right? YOU got that bracelet thing, and I met another Ranger. It's a good day so far huh?" Nick asked. EJ's made a sour face, "Good day? No it wasn't a good day. Anytime I have to fight monster is not something a I consider a good day. Days that involving shopping, hanging with friends, writing, listening to some kick *** music, and making out; these are things that I consider a part of a good day." EJ ranted. "And to answer your other question yes, I still have the bracelet. Are you in contact with other rangers?

Nick's smile disappears as EJ seems a little bit upset by his comment about it being a good day. He listens to her and says 'Well, cool. Sorry to upset you EJ. I was only kidding with you.'. She asks if he's in contact with any other Rangers. He shakes his head and says 'Nope. You're the first one i've met so far. To be honest with you, i don't even know how many of us are on this Watcher's team. But, hey, there's np rush right? We'll all meet up eventually.'

Tideus nodded.

"Rash words can cause great harm, but admitting a mistake can go a long way to putting things right. If you believe that what you said was wrong, I am certain that your friend will understand as well."

The Aquitian turned away, staring across the lake. The peace was suddenly broken by a massive splash as something impacted not far from the waterline, causing Tideus and Bradley to momentarily flinch away. A skull-faced, blade-shouldered figure stood in the lake, striding purposefully towards the two Rangers.

"Where is it!" bellowed Zakksau, swinging his heavy sword angrily. "You can hide from that weakling Trill, but not from me!"

Tideus and Bradley reacted instantly - each turning to the other. SImultaneously, they shouted "Get clear- I'll handle this!".

The two stopped and looked at each other, realisation dawning.

Tideus brought his arms up crossed, the power coin on his wrist shrouding him in a column of energised water.

"It's morphin' time! Yellow Aquitar Ranger Power."

Zakksau snarled. "So, the Keeper has sent his fish to face me, eh?" A fireball flew from his blade, exploding dangerously close.

While Zakksau was in the water, Tideus thought he might have an edge. Now morphed, he ran out onto the water as if its surface was dry land, drawing his sword and lunging down. But even wading waist-deep, the monster was fast, meeting his blade with shocking force, then forcing the yellow ranger to leap clear of the backswing. Dropping down, Tideus twisted into a double-kick to Zakksau's chest, but succeeded in doing little more than pushing him back a few inches.

EJ noticed Nick was offended by her rant. "Sorry. I didn't mean to be so harsh. Don't get me wrong I'm pretty harsh-crass person but, I should not have taken that tone with you. After all you did just save me." she paused, "Today a few years ago my family abandons me." she said solemnly. Nick gave her a weird look; she knew she had to expound more.

"My mother died. Even though I know it's not her fault I still feel like she left me. She doesn't see me cheer, I don't get advice on boys, no one to tell me I'm becoming a young woman when I experience certain pains, and who is going to take me prom dress shopping. Then we have my absentee military father. He's way of dealing with her death was to go off to war leaving me behind. While I enjoy living with the Hartfords, all I wanted was to be with my remaining family. However, he didn't feel the same way. Oh and when he finally came back, I thought we would finally be the family I was wishing and praying for. To my surprise I got the opposite I got a father who barely said two words to me. Talking about my mother's death was the worst thing I could do and he let it be known to me. I was very relieved when he left for another tour and..." EJ finds herself choking up at the thought of her past couple of years.

She holds back every feeling of sadness but, the sadness tries to force itself out. Her vision becomes blurry; her heart begins beating faster, and her breathing shallower than before.

Cross Cities Lake

Bradley was amazed at the fight between the stranger turned ranger and the Zakksau. The ranger seemed at home in the water almost as if his power thrived on it Bradley thought. The monster didn’t seem a stranger to the water himself. Bradley wanted to the join the fight but could not risk exposing his ranger identity. While heroic Bradley felt the yellow ranger was foolish for rushing into battle quickly as he did. Bradley noticed the kids where still playing the water while the battle was happen only a few meters from them.

“My first responsibility is to the kids. He looks like he can handle the monster for now.” Bradley thought running to the kids. “Oi! You guys have to go home, get out of here!” he yelled. The three kids turned to Bradley holding up their hands to him. Their hands glowed red firing a combine laser blast at Bradley. The impact from the laser spun Bradley around in the air before landing hard on the ground. A confused Bradley spit out sand as he watched the three kids charge at him.

The human bodies shattered like glass revealing their cold silver metal bodies. “Cybermen!” Bradley exclaimed. He jumped to feet running at the cybermen, he split kick the two side cyberman and attempted to land a punch on the center cyberman. The punch was caught by the cyberman pulling the ranger closer to him; the cyberman kneed the blue ranger in the stomach. Bradley felt all the air leave his lung he gasped for air before dropping to the ground.

From the corner of his awareness, Tideus noted Bradley moving the other civilians to safety. Good, he thought, admiring the human's calm under pressure. As long as he could keep the mutant busy...

Which was easier said than done. Tideus backed away into the lake, dodging another sword swing. Zakksau hefted his blade for a high swipe and brought it crashing down - only to have the Yellow Ranger suddenly vanish from its path. "What!!" he bellowed.

Having teleported behind Zakksau, Tideus had a moment's grace. Striking his sword through a triangle pattern, he hurled an energy blast at Zakksau. The strongest attack he had, it succeeded in knocking the armoured mutant off his feet into the water. Grabbing its heels, Tideus dragged it deeper into the water and both disappeared beneath the lake...

Nick listens to EJ's words, and he realises that she has experienced almost the same loss as he had back in his time. He stops his car and places a hand on EJ's shoulder. My Father and Brother left me and my Mom when i was 10 years old.. They argued alot and eventually got a divorce. A few years later, in my time, a Virus calling itself Venjix attacked mankind using an army of machines. My Mom and i fled our home in Angel Grove to a place called Corinth City. A safe haven for humans. We reached the city gates and........'. A tear rolls down Nick's cheek. 'I got in............. My Mom didn't. I don't even know if she's alive. The same goes for my Dad and Brother. So believe me.'. He lifts EJ's head up so she looks at him and says 'I totally understand EJ.'.

Bradley wiggled on the ground while grasping for air. The other two cybermen had regained their footing, both henchmen lifted the teen by the arms. His legs made lines in the sand as he was dragged into the water. Bradley tried to wrench his arms free from his captors but, was unsuccessful. The water was warm most likely due to the hot blazing sun. "How did you find us?" Bradley demanded.

One of the cyberman spoke, "Our wise and cunning master, Lord Gamma knew the Time Guardian would seek out the help of the galaxy famous power rangers. However, unsure of which team of rangers would be employed for such a mission. Lord Gamma searched the area where ranger activity has occurred. A warrior and cybermen have been placed in every known ranger location, with Angel Grove being the highest noted ranger activity hotbed. It was only a matter of time before you rangers would show up and now that you have we can rid of you like we will the other two."

"What other two?" Bradley said. Neither cyberman replied; once the water was up to Bradley's neck the two cybermen dropped the boy the water. Bradley's arms moved violently around hoping to swim away. Bradley could feel a tightening around his throat one of the cybermen was holding him down by his neck. Each second that pass Bradley knew if he didn't react he would die. He flicked his wrist summoning his astro morpher. With the last remaining energy left he pressed his morphing code activating his ranger suit and powers. In a blue flash Bradley was now the Blue Space ranger.

Now as a power ranger Bradley had the strength to leap out of the water. The three cybermen jump up with the ranger. The one holding on to his neck was attacked first, the ranger front kick him into the chest forcing the henchmen to let go of his neck. Quickly acting the blue space ranger summoned his astro blaster in duo mode. He fired his weapons at both cybermen's face. Their heads exploded upon impact, their bodies fell into the water causing some water to splash up.

San Angeles Desert.

"I totally understand EJ." a sad Nick said. EJ's eyes were still watery she turned away once again holding in her emotions. "I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you'll see them again. Until then we need to figure out how to find the rest of the rangers. Now that Trill knows we've met I'm sure they'll look for the other rangers." EJ said, she hope changing the subject would change her feelings. "Think what did the Watcher tell you?" she asked.

Up on hill stand a man in a black shirt, blue jeans and wearing a black jacket watching the battle. After a few minutes he lowers his head and things after wards he decided to help the two rangers in this battle with a shift motion he brings the morpher to his chest and says Quantum power and morphs to the Quantum Ranger with a quick jump down he lands in the front of the cyberman and behind the Blue ranger and watches as the blue ranger fired a blast the destroy two of the cyberman. The Quantum Ranger pulled his Quantum Defender out and walks over to the Blue Ranger and fires a shot at the third Cyberman and says to the Blue Ranger you looked you could use a hand there next time be a little more careful. Then the Quantum ranger turned to find the other ranger that was pulled under the water wondering where he was.

A huge gout of water erupted from the centre of the lake as the yellow ranger was hurled high into the air.

"WHOOAAAARRRRGHHHH!" warbled Tideus, before crashing unceremoniously down onto the side of the lake.

Picking himself up, still slightly unsteady, he was immensely relieved to see the other two Rangers.

"Quantum Ranger - Kerovan! The Watcher sent you as well, then. Good. There is a very powerful mutant at the bottom of that lake - the mud and water will slow him down, but we will need to face him together."

He paused, regaining his composure. Then he clasped his hands and bowed slightly to his fellow rangers.

"Forgive my manners. I am Tideus of Aquitar. Greetings, Eric Myers - Aurico has told us much about your battle on Earth's moon. And greetings to you as well, Blue Kerovan Ranger."

Nick thinks for a moment and says 'All he said was that i would be needed here. That something important would reveal itself to me and it would need my protection. He sent me here with my car.'. Nick then smiles and says ' Then i found you.'. He winks at EJ then says 'As for any info on any other Rangers, he didn't say anythin at all.'

"Well that's great, leave us to fend for ourselves."an annoyed EJ said looking down at her morpher. She opens the morpher to it's read out section. The default picture is over a light blue globe with lines running vertical and horizontal corresponding to latitude and longitude. "My godfather designed my tracker with a sophisticated GPS and satellite imaging systems. If I know what I'm looking for I can locate anything with this tracker." EJ said holding up her tracker. "My Godfather said he can locate the other drive rangers once they activate their trackers. It might be possible to locate the other rangers via my tracker." EJ said.

Cross Cities Lake

"Um Tideus was it...I'm Bradley the Blue Space Ranger" Bradley said pointing to his chest when he said Space placing emphasis on the space part of his response. Bradley looked at the new arrival. "Thanks for having my back. I thought I was a done." Bradley said offering thanks to the Quantum ranger. Bradley returned his attention to lake where the monster laid.

The water bubbled in the center of the lake. A figure slowly emerge from the lake revealing itself to be Zakksau. He rested his weapon on his right shoulder. A coy smiled slowly crept across his face. "Ah fish boy you brought two more players." Zakksau said he took a step forward bring his weapon from behind to the front of his chest. "You guys think you have what it takes to beat me? Do any of you have an idea of who I am?" Zakksau yelled taking another step closer to the shoreline.

At the lake Robby was still looking at the other rangers and heard Tideus introduce himself. Robby looked at him and says first think I’m not Eric I’m Robby Long the new Quantum Ranger. Robby looked at Bradley and said hey that is why I’m here. Then Robby notice the monster coming up from the lake and heard what it said. Robby turned and said to the monster don’t worry I will end this quick for you. Robby takes his Quantum Defender and fire a few shots at the monster. He looks at the other ranger says if two want to help then stay out of my way.

Tideus looked from one human to the other. Again, the speed of their changes confounded him - but even the very first human team he'd met had been given their powers only recently. That, it seemed, was how the humans did things - and it seemed to work. It didn't explain the human with Kerovan powers, but that would have to wait...

Zaaksau stormed up out of the water, and the time for questions was over. Tideus dropped into a fighting crouch, drawing his own pistol and sword as the Quantum Ranger opened fire, then adding to the volley.

Nick looks confused as EJ begins explaining about her Tracker. He says 'Err, i'm not exactly what you'd call a Technical Whizz, so everythin you just said pretty much didn't make sense to me.'. He smirks and says 'BUT, if that thing can find the other Rangers on our team, then lets give it a try.'

Zaaksau swatted away the laser fire from both ranger's weapons. "Now what made you think your silly little weapons could touch me. I am the fastest and fiercest swordsman this part of the fifteen galaxies." Zaaksau boasted he twirl his sword several times before resting it once again on his right shoulder blade. "Please make this easy on yourselves don't go looking for the time cube pieces and I may spare your lives." Zaaksau said.

Bradley took a fighting position between the Yellow and Quantum rangers. "If we stand a chance of defeating this guy we need to work together." Bradley said directing his comment to the loner ranger. "He swatted your laser fire like it was nothing maybe if we combined our firepower it maybe strong enough to phase him." Bradley suggested.

San Angeles Desert

"I'm not tech wiz myself. The previous pink ranger she was a genius. But I think I can locate the others. Give me a few seconds and I will tell you where to go." EJ said. She began pressing a series of buttons on her tracker as if she was texting one of her best friends. The tracker made several sounds all which EJ seemed pleased with. Finally her face lit up. "I think I've picked up a signal. Alright let's get out of here before Trill decides to repay us for trashing his robots." EJ said waving her hands hurrying Nick along.

Tideus laid a hand on the Quantum Ranger's shoulder.

"Bradley's strategy is sound. The strength of Rangers is unity; the power of one works for all."

With a fluid motion, he holstered his pistol and drew his sword, shifting it into a double-handed grip.

"Monster! Your strength is alone, but we fight together! Come and get us!"

Zakksau shifted his sword up, whirling the blade as he advanced on the rangers.

Tideus began top move his own weapon in a slow arc, readying an energy blast. "On your mark, Quantum Ranger...."

As Robby stood there angrier that his blast did not make a scratch on the monster he did hear the words that came from Bradley. At first Robby was going to try again with out the help of the other ranger but there was something came over him when he felt the hand on his shoulder and the words that Tidues made. Robby thought there could be some truth to this and really did not have in time to argue over it, if he did not fight with others and try taking the monster on his one he could get seriously hurt. So Robby looked at the other with his Quantum Defender ready to fire again with full power and says ok Rangers lets hit with everything we got. Robby just hope that trusting in this other rangers this one time would not be his down fall.

Bradley was please with the other two rangers going with his suggestion. He was even more surprise when the Quantum Ranger decided to work with them instead against them. Bradley summon both his Astro Axe and Astro Blaster. "Astro Axe Booster Mode!" Bradley said combing the two weapons. He planted his feet into the sand below gripping his weapon in both hands. "Blue Ranger ready." Bradley announced.

Zakksau continued advancing on the rangers his weapon whistled as it cut through the wind. From his perspective Zakksau could see yellow lightning form around the Alien ranger's weapon, blue particles swirled around the space ranger's weapon and the quantum ranger's weapon shook with force ready to unleash a powerful blast. "Bring it!" yelled the monster.

She placed her tracker on the dashboard of Nick's car. "I've switched to GPS mode. You drive and I'm going to get some rest. Breaking in to steal a cosmic artifact, fighting robots, and escaping a evil monster takes a lot out of a girl." EJ said with a smile she leaned back in her seat closing her eyes. She touched her chest again the pain had return but milder than before.

As the ranger ready there weapons Robby heard each ranger let him know there were ready as his watch Zakksau advance on them. Robby said to the ranger just hold your fire till he gets a little closer and as Zakksuu got close enough to fire and not injure the ranger Robby said fire and he fire a full power blast with the other two ranger at Zakksau. After the blast with ranger is fired Robby got ready to use the Seven strike attack with Quantum Defender in sword mode just in case it is needed

"As you wish" murmured Tideus to Zakksau's challenge.

He swung his blade in a hard triangle, hurling a similarly shaped blast of energy.

For a moment, Zakksau's hulking armoured form disappeared under the combined attacks of the Rangers. Then, as the haze cleared...

Zakksau stumbled out of the haze his sword down near his feet. His left hand black possible from the attacks. His hand smoked as he clutched near his chest. The once smug monster now howled out in pain. "Grrr. You @#$$%$^&$$s" Zakksau yelled. His hand still smoking he yelled at the rangers again upset at their small victory. "Wipe those smiles off your faces, you've managed only to hurt my hand. This is in no way a reflection of your skills." Zakksau babbled on.

"Alright I'm tired of hearing this guy mouth. Let's finish this rangers." Bradley said, he jumped in the air aimming his weapon down at Zakksau. "Astro Axe Booster Mode...Fire!" the ranger yelling unleashing a barrage of blue laser charges down on to the monster. Zakksau avoided most of the blasts but, a few managed to strike the monster over his body. Bradley converted his booster blaster back to the Astro Axe and Astro Blaster. With one swooping motion the ranger slash down and to the right of Zakksau. A blue streak appear when the blade met with Zakksau's body. The force from the attack sent Zakksau spinning into the shallow part of the water.

Bradley stepped back to the duo. He looked over at Yellow ranger. "We may only get one chance at this. Better make it count." he said.

Tideus nodded to Bradley. "That's all I need". Sprinting back into the water, he launched a series of double-handed sword strikes against the Zakksau, each blow carving into armour and forcing him deeper back into the lake. Off-balance in the water, injured and disoriented, the monster lost its footing and slipped over. Tideus reversed his sword, bringing it down for a final strike.

The blow was stopped as a burning nimbus of energy exploded around Zakksau, throwing Tideus back off his feet. As it cleared, the three rangers saw the monster was gone leaving only a pall of steam. Tideus picked himself up, eerily standing on the surface of the waters, and walked back across to the Red and Blue rangers.

"That was a teleport flare. I fear we have not seen the last of him."

In a yellow glow, Tideus demorphed, giving the human rangers their first clear look. Tall and well built, his most striking feature was a bony cranium patterned with purple markings. He wore the loose-fitting black uniform of the Aquitian Rangers, with a yellow flash on his chest. In a voice that sounded distorted to human ears, he continued.

"It is an honour to fight alongside the Rangers of Earth again. Before any more surprises, I suggest we try and find the other Rangers sent by the Watcher."

Nick smiles as EJ makes herself comfortable in his passenger seat. He says quietly 'Ok EJ. I'll get us..........'. Nick's car then miraculously transports itself to Cross City Lakes...........

Nick's car, along with Nick and EJ in it, lands in front of the 3 other Rangers who were at that moment, in a fight. Nick says confused 'There?' as he finishes his sentence. He taps EJ's shoulder and says 'Errrr, EJ, i think we're there now?'

"It is an honour to fight alongside the Rangers of Earth again. Before any more surprises, I suggest we try and find the other Rangers sent by the Watcher." The alien ranger said. Bradley lifted his left arm to his face touching his wrist with his right index and middle finger he said, "Power Down." In a blue followed by a white flash, Bradley revert to his civilian form. "Saying you are not from around here would be an understatment." Bradley joked. He turn to the Quantum ranger waiting for the ranger to demorph.

Before anyone could say another word a black car appeared near the lake. Bradley startled by the arrival of the unknown vehicle jumps back quickly morphing into the Blue Space ranger again. "What is it now?" Bradley said taking a fighting stance.

'Errrr, EJ, i think we're there now?' Nick said while tapping EJ on the shoulder. EJ open one eye, "It's been a long day I'm not in the mood for games. We have at least an hour drive." She said. Her left hand fumbled on the dashboard searching for the drive tracker. She picked up the device looking at the screen. The ranger energies she manged to lock into were near the pink and black blimps (each one representing Nick and EJ's ranger colors). She open the other eye, pulling in the device. "This can't be right. It's said the closest rangers are practically on top of us." she said disbelief in her voice.

She lowered the device from her eye line looking out of the passenger's window. She saw a blue white trim ranger, a dark red with black trim ranger, and weird figure dress in black with a yellow under shirt. standing in the sand. "Um Nick I think we're here." she repeated Nick's earlier statement.

As the other two rangers were talking, Robby was looking around when a black car came out of nowhere in front of the ranger. Robby pulled his Quantum defender ready to fire if the people in car our no friendly. Robby easily walked towards the car and said to the other rangers be ready when Robby got close enough he could see a guy in the driver seat and a female in the passenger seat. Robby said to the people in the car ok get out slow with your hands so we can see them.

Coming from a world which routinely used teleportation, Tideus was unfazed by the sudden appearance of the black car.

“I do not believe that force will be required this time, Robby Long” said Tideus, gently but firmly. “My experience is that mutants do not use such vehicles, and a friend of mine used to operate a similarly-enhanced car.”

He walked over to the car, bending down by the passenger window and looking inside. Seeing the occupants, Tideus pressed his fingers together in front of his chest as a greeting.

Two humans – one in pink, the other wearing black – and they’d arrived by teleportation.

“Greetings. I assume from your appearance and method of arrival you are the Pink and Black Rangers. I am Tideus, the Yellow Ranger.”

His face furrowed for a moment as he tried to remember human etiquette.

“Pleased to meet you” he said, extending a hand.

Nick was still speechless at what had just happened. Was this The Watcher's doing? A man approached the car with some kind of blaster and says 'Ok, get out slow with your hands up so we can see them.'. Nick exits the car and says 'Put that thing away. Unless you wanna get yourself in some REAL trouble.'. He looks around and says 'EJ......... Are these guys the other Rangers?'. Another guy approached and introduced himself as Tideus. He extends his hand and Nick says 'Well, i guess they are.'. He shakes Tideus's hand and says 'Name's Nick. RPM Operator Series Black.'. He turns back to the guy with the blaster and says 'And you are?'

EJ shook Tideus's hand flashing a smile, "I'm EJ Pink Drive Ranger. Please to meet you as well." she said. She slid her hand back from the Alien Ranger's grasp. She push the passenger door forward allowing herself to step out of the car.

Bradley demorphed once again his suit danced in blue and white light as he return to his civilian form. Bradly looked at Robby who was still holding his blaster at the two rangers. "Down boy." Bradley joked walking up to the female ranger. He nodded his head, "Sup. I'm Bradley Blue Space Ranger." he said.

EJ nodded her head returning the sentiment. "Good, you're the one I'm suppose to give this to then." she said reaching in her pocket she pull out the stolen gold bracelet. Bradley made a face at the Pink Ranger's gift. "Um no thanks I'm more a white gold or silver fan. But you didn't have to get me anything. I certainly don't have any presents for you." Bradley joked.

EJ rolled her eyes at Bradley's mild attempt at humor. "No the watcher sent me on a mission to acquire this thing. He said once I had it the non earth ranger would know what to do with it." she said extending the bracelet to him. Bradley picked up the item holding it up to the sun light. "Um I'm suppose to know what this is?" a confused Bradley asked.

[Ranger Black]

Nick Smith

Nick sighs and says 'Oh great. So Blue Boy doesn't have a clue what he's doing? So EJ risked her life to get that thing, i helped her out by fighting off a bunch of crazy ass robots, only for us to get teleported or whatever HERE, just so you can say you don't know what you're doing? Hmph, PERFECT!''.

Tideus looked from EJ, to Bradley, to Nick in rapid succession, frowning as he attempted to understand their behaviour. Was he missing something?

"Perhaps the Watcher was referring to me?" he asked. "May I examine the artefact?"

Shrugging, Bradley handed it across.

Tideus held the bracelet in front of his face, studying it and turning it over in his hands.

"It appears to have a telepathic control interface - not unlike my Battle Borg... now if I can reach it...."

The bracelet suddenly started to glow, and a flickering image danced in front of the Alien Ranger's face.

"Ah. A data transfer." He studied the images for a moment. "This device is a chronal vortex manipulator - an extremely compact one - which detects rifts in the fabric of space-time and uses them for transportation. Its power is drawn from the universal morphing grid, which means any of us should be able to activate it. I believe the time cube fragments should generate rifts in their vicinity, allowing us to locate them. Perhaps I can engage it."

As Tideus continued to stare at the bracelet, a shimmering circle of orange energy began to form around the five Rangers....

Nick watched as Tideus looked at the bracelet. Nick says 'Ooooook, this guy's been out in the sun too long.'. All of a sudden, Tideus begins to speak about data transfers. Nick says 'Dude seriously. It's a bracelet, not a piece of Tech.'. An orange light emits from the bracelet and surrounds the Rangers. Nick says 'Wow, what the hell's goin on here?'

EJ, Bradley, and Robby all were in awe of what had transpired before each of them. The orange light wrapped around all the rangers providing warmth and comfort. It was a strange feeling but, a feeling that did not alert any of the rangers. Most of the rangers remained quiet observing and assessing their situation except for Nick who exclaimed, "Wow, what the hell's going on here?"

"Rangers do not be alarmed the Alien Ranger is correct. I have sent the young pink ranger to retrieve a chronal vortex manipulator. As I mention to each one of you as I recruited you for this mission, I am bound to a code of non interference. I have bended the rules as much as possible out of fear of what a time under Lord Gamma's rule would do to the entire galaxy. This device will allow safe travel through time of organic and non organic entities." The watcher said his voice echoing through the orange light.

Robby was the first to speak, "Our Zords, weapons, and vehicles."

"Correct Quantum Ranger, Lord Gamma will send his entire army in the search of a time cube pieces. Each of you needs to be able to access your ranger team's resources. While multiple organic entities may pass through this device please reduce the number of Zords and vehicles operated during each time trip." The Watcher responded.

"I know you have this whole cryptic non interference vibe working for you but, how do you expect us to find the time pieces?" EJ asked, there a slight bit of annoyance in her voice. She found the Watcher's discretion to help and not unnecessary. "Well as the Tideus said earlier the bracelet will hone in on the other time cube pieces and open a rift for us to travel through. Grab the time cube pieces and return here." Robby said in a condescending tone. EJ held back the urge to smack Robby.

"You are partial correct Quantum Ranger. The chronal vortex device cans essential lock on to a time cube piece. However, the time cube pieces have two safeguards. The first one is it creates a dummy reading, the second is the piece may take the form of anything. These two safeguards work together to make stumbling across or locating very difficult." The Watcher said.

Bradley shook his head a lot of information was coming at him, he was unsure if he could digest everything said. "I'm sorry, dummy readings?" Bradley asked.

"Yes Blue Ranger I can understand your confusion. I will explain. The bracelet may take you to a time or place where it thinks a cube piece may be. In reality the reading will lead you to a fake time cube piece giving off slightly lower powers than the actual piece. Do not overlook the piece rangers as it is a clue to where the real time cube piece may be." The Watcher explained.

"So this is one big time travel scavenger hunt." Robby mumbled.

"Rangers I know that I have asked a lot of each of you but, I have seen the multiple futures. This is the only chance your time has to stop Lord Gamma. Each of you brings something unique to this team, use these skills to work together. As time passes on I will try to contact you as much as I can but for the most part you are on your own. Use your contacts and resources to locate time cube pieces. Also Lord Gamma will still terrorize as much as possible do not forget you are rangers and the lives of others must be protected." The watcher paused, the bracelet lit up once again before the voice returned. "I have set the bracelet to your first clue. With that I must go, good luck rangers.” The Watcher ended his conversation.

The warm and inviting orange glow has subsided. The five rangers returned to the lake. Bradley felt queasy after the glow left his body; he placed his hand over his mouth before addressing the group, “We have a long journey ahead of us. After today’s encounter with Zakksau I know Lord Gamma is already mobilizing his warriors to search for the pieces. If there are no objects I say we start now.” Bradley said moving his hand away from his mouth. The others around him nodded their heads in agreement. “Good, Tideus if you would be so kind as to lead the way.” Bradley said.

Episode 2: Going out with a bang

Tideus' gaze hardened as he focussed on the vortex manipulator. The device had directly transmitted the knowledge of how to operate it into his mind - but that was not the same thing as experience. The power coin on his wrist burned with yellow light as it drew energy from the morphing grid. Once again, the orange glow lit up around the rangers - but this time it flickered like fire.

"I believe the manipulator is ready to open a rift. All of you, please make physical contact if you wish to proceed."

Bradley, Nick, Robby and EJ looked at each other briefly - but no one was going to turn back now. One by one, they each laid a hand on Tideus' shoulders.

"May the power protect us all."

A storm of fire engulfed the Rangers, and each felt a sickening sensation of dislocation as they were pulled out of the fabric of time. Then, suddenly, everything was normal again. The Rangers were standing in the middle of a lush green field, looking out over a sweeping bay. A range of mountains towered nearby, while a town of ornate, well-made stone buildings stood nearby.

"We have travelled approximately a thousand cycles into your planet's past" explained Tideus. "That would be about twice that number of this world's cycles. Does this look familiar?"

Bradley once again held up left hand over his mouth and his right hand over his stomach. The queasy feeling return stronger than before. His stomach began turning and churning, he could feel the school cafeteria's meatloaf making it's way up. He swallowed a couple of times before the feeling went away. He cleared his throat moving his hands away from his mouth and stomach. "That's a feeling I'm going to have to get use to." he said breathing heavily.

"Considering most of us were born a decade and half ago none of this looks familiar." EJ joked, she saw Tideus was not amused at her joke. She survey the land from her vantage point. "Given the building designs I would say we are back in the time of the Gods." EJ said.

"So we are talking Rome, Greece,Sparta and Athens?" Bradley asked.

"Yes, but I'm not sure which one. Well at least not from here. Once we go into the city I think we'll know more." she answered.

Bradley fully recovered walked past the group walking towards the ornate town. "Alright let's go then, I have a feeling Lord Gamma will realize that we have begun the search and will be on us soon." Bradley said.

As the other ranger were looking around Robby just stood there and watching the ranger. After they had came through the other time Robby had demorphed and was standing there in blue jeans a dark red shirt and a black leather jacket. Robby still not sure about teaming up with this rangers and though this would be better if he just did this alone that way it would get done right but at this time he had to some what get alone. Robby watched as Bradley went ahead of them and Robby said to Bradley wait a minute lets not get a head of ourselves here. We are in a different time and if we are not careful we could end up in some trouble with the people of this time lets look at how we are dressed this will scary some of the people and then Lord Gamma will surely know we are here. Robby looks at Tideus and says ok what does that scanner show the time cube piece at?

Listening to EJ, Tideus was rudely reminded of the speed with which Earth changed - perhaps unsurprising, given human lifespans. His new colleagues would have been children when he and the other Aquitian Rangers had defended Earth. And yet, a thousand cycles before, Aquitar had been much as it was now. But xenology would have to wait.

Tideus nodded. "I agree, Robby Long, caution would be prudent."

The vortex manipulator glowed gently in his hands. "There appears to be some sort of temporal emination from that mountain" he stated, gesturing to the horizon. "But this device is not precise - at least, not in the way I can use it."

"One question, Rangers of Earth - is this a period before your planet made contact with other worlds?"

Bradley halted his movement heading the words of both Tideus and Robby. He walked back to the group looking at his clothes. "I guess we do stick out like sore thumbs. I wonder where you pick up togas from?" Bradley pondered.

"Other worlds?" EJ asked, it took her a few seconds before she caught on to Tideus's question. "Oh you meant with your kind...ooo...I didn't mean your kind like your kind but more of like your species...um other alien life forms. What was the question again?" EJ rambled on.

Bradley laughed at EJ's stammering. "Before would be the answer you're looking for." Bradley answered.

[Setekhite]

"In that case, perhaps I should make myself less conspicuous." replied Tideus. He tapped at his wrist-device for a moment, and a flickering energy field momentarily surrounded him. When it faded, Tideus suddenly looked fully human.

"How does that work?" he asked, the aquatic distortion also gone from his voice.

Suprised, the other rangers nodded and confirmed that the chameleon circuit worked.

"Excellent. Now, we should investigate the source of the disturbance before anything else arrives..." He stared into the distance. "...although the distance does seem quite considerable overland."

But before the Rangers could proceed, a tremor shook the ground beneath them.

Nick looked around, kinda confused and says 'Ok, what the hell is going here?'

The rumbling underneath the rangers was enough to cause EJ to loose her footing. She stumbled backwards landing in Nick's arms. She looked up at his hazel eyes blushing a little before she regain her footing. "Thanks" she said flashing him a smile. The tremor had subsided at this point.

'Ok, what the hell is going here?' Nick yelled.

"If I had to take a guess I would say we've just experienced a tremor." Bradley answered.

"An Earthquake. It's not enough we're fighting aliens in this time scavenger hunt but, we also have to deal with earthquakes." EJ said.

"It wasn't big enough to be considered an Earthquake. It was a small tremor. And you're right we don't have time to worry about this, we need to find the time cube piece. Tideus you think the mountain is out starting point?" Bradley asked.

Nick Smith

Nick's thoughts kept wondering. His eyes would occasionally glance over at EJ. He seemed as if he was interested in her, but he tries his best to keep his head on the mission. He says 'Ok, so we've just experienced a tremor. I'd just like to suggest that we get somewhere a little more stable before that tremor actually does become an earthquake. Agreed?'

Tideus frowned. "We are on level, open ground. Stability is not an issue - I would be more concerned about tidal effects if the epicentre is out to sea."

He then realised the other Rangers were staring at him. "Well, we are about an hour's walk from the mountain, and that is our only lead. Vehicles would draw additional attention and we do not wish to distress the local population. Shall we begin?"

Turning away, he shouldered his conch-like pack and headed off at a fast walking pace.

Robby was standing there listing to the rangers when he felt the tremor and the shaking from it made him step back a little after regaining his balance Robby turned to the others and said I agree the mountain will be a good starting point manly we should get a better signal from the time piece. So Tibeus you take point and lead the way.

San Angeles, Hartford Mansion

Laine skipped into the front entryway, her headphones dangling around her neck. She stopped, seeing the portly butler emerge from the doorway that led to the kitchen. He was carrying a tray filled with lines of finger food. Impulsively she reached her hand towards the tray, only to have it smacked away. "Tut tut, young lady. It's for Mack." Spencer glowered at her.

Laine spread her hands in mock surrender, "All right, geez. All that for him??" The butler turned slightly, "Oh, by the way, Mr. Hartford wants to see you in his study. He looked a little........... worried."

"Will do, Spencer." Laine gave Spencer a kiss on the cheek. She then ran off, heading for Andrew's study as directed.

Nick Smith

Nick shrugs his shoulders and says 'Sure whatever. The mountain sounds like a good idea.'. He looks over to EJ and says 'Hey, you comin?'

"Um yeah" EJ said snapping out of her daze. Her mind had wonder off while the others were discussing their next move. She followed behind Tideus soon catching up to him. "Hey I really wanted to apologize for my dumb comment I made earlier. I'm still getting use to the rangerverse which include evil ninjas, androids turned human and now aliens." EJ said.

A restless Bradley was glad to begin the trek to the Mountain but, was annoyed with Tideus recommendation not to use vehicles. He wasn't sure but if he felt the longer they stayed in this time the more likely they were likely to find themselves in danger. With a hour walk who knows what could happen. Bradley followed behind EJ and Tideus.

Within the city a purple whirlpool of energy formed behind a fruit; Trill stepped out of the whirlpool with five cybermen behind him. Before any of the locals could notice the stranger visitors, the group activated a device similar to Tideus. Trill and the cybermen physical form changed to match the look of the local inhabitants. "Lord Gamma has not been pleased with recent actions. We can not let the rangers get their hands on the time cube piece. I don't care how you do it but I want you to check every inch of this city. Do not cause any disruptions, we do not want the rangers to know we are here. Remember we don't have much time before things start to heat up around here." Trill said.

2009 Amazon Jungle

Zakksau chopped through a few long and thick in diameter vines in front of him. He paused for a second holding up his blacken hand. He has a flashback to the combine efforts of Bradley, Robby and Tideus defeating him. He lets out a huge roar frightening the birds in the area. "@#$% Rangers!" he yells. "Thanks to them I'm stuck looking for the Gormax's spear while Trill gets to time hop. He lost the temporal vortex manipulator yet I'm the bad on, I hope her burns." Zakksau said smiling at the thought of Trill burning. He continues his journey through the dense jungle.

San Angeles, Hartford Mansion

Laine knocked on the door to Andrew's study. Hearing him bark "Enter", she opened it and walked in. Andrew turned around as she approached the desk behind which he was standing. "Ah, yes, Delaney. I see Spencer notified you."

Laine nodded, clearly puzzled, "He did." Andrew looked at her steadily while he explained about the Watcher and the Watcher's mission. When he finished, he asked, "So, will you accept?"

Laine paused, her mind absorbing the offer. "This is so sudden. But I accept." Seeing Andrew's face crease in relief, Laine knew she made the right choice. "All right, you need to go to Cross City Lakes immediately. And take this as well, you'll need it." Andrew moved to the wall. Removing the painting and setting it aside, he opened the safe and took out the Pink Tracker. He tossed it to Laine and she grabbed it.

Aaron 'AJ' James

AJ was training at the Pai Zhuq academy with Casey. Casey jokes 'Come on AJ. I thought you had the Tiger Spirit. Not a Kitten Spirit.'. AJ laughs and says 'Hey, i'm just gettin warmed up. Besides, for a Pai Zhuq Master, you don't seem that tough.'. The exchange blows, then they unleash their Tiger Spirits. Casey's is too powerful for AJ's, and AJ gets knocked down. He gets up and Casey says 'How's that for a Pai Zhuq Master?'. AJ smiles and says 'Ok ok. You win. As usual.'. RJ appears and says 'WOW! That was an intense training session guys.'. Casey smiles and says 'RJ? What brings you to the academy?'. RJ replies 'I'm here for Aaron.'. AJ looks shocked and says 'ME?'. RJ says 'Yup. I need to talk to you.'

Tideus nodded at EJ, trying to put the novice Ranger at ease. “Your remark was entirely factual, was it not? The error was mine; I forgot human life spans and how quickly your world has changed. If I have my timings right, it is near this time that our Battle Borgs are forged – that was for the previous team, of course. We still use the same machines now.”

He paused, rubbing his head and suddenly looking discomfited.

“It takes a long time to get used to being a Ranger. Being surprised is entirely normal. But now… I need to rehydrate.” He stopped, stared over at a stream, and walked across.

“You need a drink?” asked Bradley.

“Not quite. I do need water.” Explained Tideus, placing his hands in the stream. A flickering blue glow surrounded him.

“Perhaps you had better head on – I will need a few of your minutes.”

Meanwhile, beneath the nearby slopes of Mount Vesuvius, something stirred. A huge, vaguely reptilian form, with flesh like living stone, basked in the rising magma. It had been drawn by the rift in space and time to this place, where it found the heat and pressure much to its liking. But now, the same senses that had found this energy said something else was coming.

The creature shifted, unfurling its block-sized bulk and starting to reenergise itself. Outside, the ground shook again and an ominous pall of smoke began to emit from the mountain…

Robby was following behind the rangers listing to them talk and thing I do not know why I could not just handle this by my self it would be a lot easier. Robby stayed behind the rangers still think when he started to look around something did not seem right but what was on clear.

Cross City Lakes, Outskirts

Laine got off the bike and looked around. It seemed like a desolate place for a meeting. She eyed the shifting sands, then at the towering visage of Mount Vesuvius above the horizon. Then shrugged. Removing her helmet, Laine placed it on the seat of the bike and started walking.

No sooner had she taken more than a few steps when she felt the tremor. Almost falling in shock, Laine managed to stay on her feet. Looking up at the mountain, she saw the pall of smoke being emitted.

"What's going on?" Laine wondered aloud.

EJ and Bradley both nodded at Tideus request. They both wanted to stay and watch the rehydration process but felt it a little weird to stare at him. Instead the two rangers decided to continue their trek to the mountain, this would give them a chance to get to know one another better. EJ had her emotional breakdown in front of Nick and he was kind enough to console her with his life story. She did not want to repeat the same process with the others.

"So what's your story?" EJ ask.

"My story? Sorry I'm not much for freely given up information. If you want know something in particular then just ask me. I operate weird like that." Bradly answered.

EJ rolled her eyes before speaking, "Ok. How long have you been a ranger?"

"Not long, I'll say since the summer, so that's what a few months." he said, EJ nodded her head in agreement. "How about you. I heard you say to Tideus you're still new to the ranger lifestyle." he added.

"Eavesdrop much." she said making a face.

"Well you're kinda loud." he replied. EJ offended by his remark slap his arm with mild force. "I'm so not loud. Excitable at time but def not loud." she said. Bradley looked at his arm laughing, "I hope you hit better than that when you're up against a monster."

Nick Smith

Nick sits down while the others watch Tideus rehydrate. He thinks 'Ah man. This walkin is killin me. I wish i'd got to bring my car with me. Hmm, i hope it'll be ok. The Watcher better not let anythin happen to it. Otherwise i'll be havin words with that guy.'

Aaron James

AJ walked with RJ into a secluded area and says 'What's up RJ? Is somethin wrong?'. RJ replies 'Well, it seems that your talents are required else where right now.'. AJ looks puzzled and says 'What does that mean?'. RJ says 'Well, it appears that a being named 'The Watcher' needs our help with a situation in the Amazon Jungle. Someon named Zakksau is causing trouble there. He appears to be looking for something.'. AJ says 'So what does that have to do with me?'. RJ smiles and says 'The Watcher has requested that YOU be the one to go and help the Animals in the Jungle and stop Zakksau from getting what he's after.'. AJ looks surprised and says 'ME? But what about the other Jungle Fury Rangers?'. Rj says 'They'll be fine AJ. Do you accept or not?'. AJ thinks for a moment and says 'Alright, i'll do it. If it's to help out the Jungle, who better than a Jungle Fury Ranger huh?'

As she stumbled her way across the continually shifting sands, Laine thought back to her briefing by the Watcher. It was shortly before she had left San Angeles. The Watcher had appeared to her in her bedroom at the Hartford mansion.

Laine gazed at the Watcher in amazement. She tried to take in what he was telling her. "I suppose Andrew has filled you in on the threat presented by Lord Gamma. But what he has neglected to inform you, since I wasn't certain then, is that the current Pink Overdrive Ranger, EJ, is to suffer an excruciating death at the hands of a monster in the year 79 AD. That is why you were asked to assume the power. You are also to take this along with you.

Working her way up the mountain was no easy task. Despite her numerous cuts and bruises, Laine would not give up. She stopped to catch her breath. As she looked down from where she had stopped, Laine thought she saw something. It could be the sun glinting off the sand. Turning around, she reached into her jean pocket and removed the bracelet she'd been given by the Watcher.

As EJ and Bradley were talking Robby notice Nick sitting down. Robby just walked ahead of the Rangers and turned around says I will go one head and see what is going. Robby just keep walking and think I'm stuck here with these kids that talk to much they need to be think at the mission instead of getting friendly. Oh well like always I will just have take care of this myself and Robby went towards the moutain.

Nick sees Robby walking off. He gets up and says to the group 'Hey guys. I'm gonna go with him. Best not leave someone alone right? Once Tideus is rehydrated, catch us up ok?'. Nick takes a quick look at EJ and says 'Later.'. He then turns and runs and catches Robby up and says 'Hey man. Why'd you leave like that? It's not safe to be alone ya know.'

As the ground shudders and smoke starts to come from the mountain, Tideus jumps up.

"This will have to wait. Clearly we are short of time to get to the mountain. But... that looks like some sort of seismic thermal activity. That town will be in danger."

Tideus frowned. Very few Ranger powers could help in the face of volcanic activity. He turned to Bradley and EJ.

"How well do the humans of this period understand geology?"

"Not great, I think." replied EJ. "I remember reading about some disasters..."

"Then we cannot risk leaving them in ignorance - which means we will have to divide our forces" stated Tideus. "We must get to the others." With that, he sprinted off after Robby and Nick.

As Robby was walking he heard Nick behind him Robby turned and heard Nick say 'Hey man. Why'd you leave like that? It's not safe to be alone ya know.' Robby says to Nick it just easer for me to do this a lone. Then Robby fells the ground sake and sees smoke coming out of the Moutain Robby says to Nick ok this day just keeps getting worse ever mintue well if are coming with me you better keep up or I will leave you but we need to get to the mountaine and fast.

"Seismic thermal activity?" EJ ask looking to Bradley for the answer. "He's talking about the earthquake again?" she offered as an answer to her previous question.

"I'm afraid we're out of the realm of an earthquake. We're looking at some type of eruption. C'mon let's catch up with others." Bradley said sprinting behind the alien ranger, EJ still confused at what was going on gave chase. After a few seconds the three rangers had finally caught up with Robby and Nick. EJ touched her chest once they stopped running. The jog seemed to aggravate her wound.

In the city the disguised Trill and cybermen quickly searched the city. Trill would look inside the citizens' homes. Most of the windows at ground level did not have curtains, so Trill could see right in. He moved from one window to another as though he was going from theater to theater. Suddenly a tremor shook through the city, reminding Trill how much time he had before things got exciting.

Amazon Jungle 2009

Zakksau had made his way through the most dense part of the jungle and now he stood at the base of mountain. He looked up at the top before plunging his sword into ground. Everything around him began to shake causing a rift to form in front of his sword traveling up the mountain side. About three fours ways up the mountain a small explosion occurs, when the dust clears the entrance to a cave appears. Zakksau pulls his sword out of the ground and begins his ascension up the mountain to the opening.

As she continued climbing up the steep path, Laine scanned the scenery ahead of her. She checked the bracelet from time to time, to make sure she was heading in the right direction.

Stumbling once again from the next tremor, Laine took the next step forward....... and into empty space. With no way to stop her fall, Laine tumbled off the edge and downwards. Luckily she glimpsed a tree root growing partly down the cliff and grabbed hold with one hand. Slamming hard into the rock wall, Laine felt her right shoulder screech in protest. She gritted her teeth and began yelling, hoping anyone could hear her.

"HEELLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!"

Tideus stopped next to Robby and Nick.

"This would be a good time for your vehicle, Nick - it could carry most of us. Robby Long, Eric Myers told my friend Aurico of his vehicle's speed. May I suggest you and Bradley warn the city, while the rest of us try to locate the Key fragment? There is not time to try and teach one of you to use the bracelet."

Another explosion interrupted Tideus, causing the Rangers to look up at the mountain. There was a crack as massive chunks of rock flew into the air, visible even a mile off, as though an enormous force was pushing out from the ground.

"That" explained Tideus "is where the signature seems to be..."

Noticing huge chunks of rocks flying past where she was hanging on for dear life, Laine felt her grip slipping a little, as the tree root began bending down.

"No, no, no, stay in place" Laine begged silently. Even as she knew it might be hopeless, Laine quickly dug into her right pocket, bringing out her Tracker. Her grip slipped even more, Laine searched her mind for the correct morph sequence.

Running the tracker down her left arm, Laine yelled out the words, "Overdrive Accel......!" But in midst-sentence, the tree root finally gave way and Laine fell, her cry reverberating off the mountain side.

Bradley while listening to Tideus's plan noticed EJ touch her chest and wincing in pain. "Are you ok?" he ask concerned for her well being. EJ nodded her head and waving her hand hoping the boy would not make a big deal about it. "Yes I'm fine just a little winded from the jog. Pay attention." she said.

Bradley didn't believe her but, decided not to press her on the situation. He had got the feeling that EJ liked to give the appearance of an independent spirit. When she's ready to let you know what's going on she will. His attention now on the rock fragments raining down over the land. "No offense Tideus to your plan but I doubt Nick's car is the best vehicle suited for going into an active volcano." Bradley interjected, "The Space rangers have a vehicle known as the mega tank it was created for situations such as this. It is equipped with a photon cannon and retractable claw arm as well as some other cool features." Bradley said.

"Ok no more sales pitch, I vote for a tank over a car." EJ said raising her right arm. "Sorry Nick it's a lovely car but I'm pretty sure lava will mess up your paint job." EJ joked. Bradley looked at the rest of the group for their opinions. EJ returned her focus to the mountain. EJ thought she heard a faint cry off in the distance but quickly shrugged off the thought returning to the group for their decision.

Nick Smith

Nick shrugs his shoulders and says 'Hey, it's cool. I don't wanna get my car melted down into scrap anyway.'. Nick turns to Bradley and says 'Are sure this tank thing will hold out in this heat?'. He then notices EJ clutching her chest again and says 'Is your chest still troubling you EJ?'

Meanwhile, in 2009

Aaron James

AJ gets teleported by the Watcher to the Amazon. As he arrives, he lands in the mud face first. He gets up and says 'Oh great. What a way to start my mission.'. He wipes the mud off and says 'Right, now to find out what's goin on here.'. He begins walking through the Jungle in search of Sakksau

Laine lay motionless on the small edge. She was thankful that it had stopped her freefall. Unable to move for the moment, with the pain shooting everywhere through her body. Then she slowly got to her feet, inch by painful inch. She could not let whatever or whoever was making the volcano erupt continue.

Laine tried again the morph. "Overdrive Accelerate!" And succeeded. The Pink Ranger suit encased her body and her helmet formed around her head. Thinking quickly, Laine remembered seeing a drill-type zord from amongst the images Andrew showed her when she accepted.

"It would help tremendously but I wonder if it could come through time......Only one way to know." Laine looked down at her tracker. "Here goes nothing! Drill Driver!"

Robby was about to talk with Nick when the rest of the rangers shoew up. As they were talking it was rainning Rocks Robby says this day just keeps getting worse every mintue ok Bradley call the tank. Robby turned to Tideus says I'm going after the Time peice and two if we save the city it could reset time and not in a good way.

Nick Smith

Nick nods and says 'Robby's right. We have to be careful what we do while we're here. Any slight thing could drastically change the future as we know it. But on that note, how do we know that THAT village isn't meant to be wiped out? We could go protect it and end re writing history.'

[Setekhite]

Tideus nodded. Although it went against every tenet of being a ranger, he could see the others' logic.

"This is your world, and you know its history. Perhaps we cannot help them."

Absently, he fingered the device on his wrist.

"The 'tank' is logical. Shall we move?"

As the Rangers debated, a monstrous stone claw shot from the mountainside around them, trickles of lava running off it and cooling to cracked stone. Then, another, and the ground between them began to crumble.

"Is that part of your history?" asked Tideus.

[SilverTigerRanger]

The Drill Driver emerged from a portal directly in front of the group, then sped forward until it reached Laine's location. She looked down at it.

"It made it. All right, time to go to work."

Laine leaped skyward ignoring the pain, then landed on top of the Drill Driver and entered the cockpit. Sending the Drill Driver in reverse, Laine punched a button on the panel activating the screen that displayed the surrounding the mountain. Her gaze taking in the group, Laine activated the intercom and a hatch opened in the rear of the Drill Driver.

"All of you, get in quickly!"

"You don't have to tell me twice" EJ said running to the drill vehicle that appeared before her. Bradley stretched out his hand calling out to her, "EJ wait that's not my tank." Bradley's words fell on deaf ears as EJ entered into the vehicle. "I wondered if this is another one of The Watcher's helpful inventions." Bradley said. The ground crumbled around them accompanying the the fallen rocks around them. Tideus's mention of history triggered a thought in his head.

"I know where we are now or, at least I have an idea. My sophomore year I had World History honors and I remember spending a week on Greece. One of the major natural disasters to occur was the fires of Pompeii. The day Mount Vesuvius erupted killing everyone below. Their were only a few lucky survivors who made to the sea before the lava and ash cloud reach them." Bradley said.

"I'm sorry you guys but, I can not continue the search for the time piece knowing lives are about to end. Whether I'm rewriting history or not my ranger code will not allow me to stand here discussing who lives and who dies." Bradley said summoning his morpher. "Galaxy Glider Hang Ten!" Bradley yelled. A portal opened in front of him materializing his blue hover board in front of him. He jumped to the vehicle suited as the Black Space Ranger. Before anyone could object the ranger zipped off into the sky line avoiding the rocks falling around him.

Amazon 2009

Zakksau removed his sword from the ground and began his climb up the mountain side. Moments later Zakksau was half way up the mountain when he decided to take a break. From his location he had a bird's eye view of the jungle beneath him. "Such a beautiful site, it's a shame I will have to lay waste to this place." Zakksau laughed.

As a Drill looking vehicle appeared in front of him and the others Ranger and a voice saying to get in it was just wondering how many more rangers are on this mission. Robby was going towards the vehicle he heard Bradley say "I'm sorry you guys but, I can not continue the search for the time piece knowing lives are about to end and call for his Galaxy Glider and take off. Robby said dank fool is going to get himself killed. Robby turned towards the others and said you go find the time piece I’m going after Bradley. Robby quickly morph to the Quantum Ranger and called for his TF Eagle and went after Bradley. As Robby was chasing Bradley the one thing that was running through his mind was why was going after Bradley but the only answer was what Eric had told him that you never leave a team member behind. Even if Robby wanted to do this alone he did have a team in this mission and he would not let Bradley go off to face danger alone.

Seeing all but two enter the vehicle, Laine had no more time to waste. She punched the button to close the hatch. The Drill Driver's drill began rotating at incredible speed as it lurched forward and delved straight into the side of the mountain. Arriving at the source of the commotion, Laine activated the viewscreen showing the giant-sized monster.

"That is one butt-ugly dude!"

Sacred waters, thought Tideus. We will end up causing what we came to stop.

The two human rangers were already almost out of sight. Pressing his hands to his temples, Tideus tried desperately to contact them telepathically.

My friends, do not disturb time any more than you must. Do not use your Ranger forms if it can be helped. May the power protect you...

A massive, reptilian head, with skin like stone, pushed out from the ground. Fire swept around a crocodile-like snout and a hulking form began to pull itself from the ground.

"WHAT INSECTS DISTURB THE LAVA LOC???" it bellowed. "YOU WILL BURN WITH THE REST OF THIS PAPERSKINNED WORLD."

Tideus winced at the volume. "I do not think he is friendly...."

Nonetheless, he turned to face the monster.

"We are the... Power Rangers, protectors of this world. Your presence here is causing great damage. Please, leave the volcano now.!

"HAHAHAHA!! MISERABLE CREATURE! WILL YOU MAKE ME LEAVE? I WILL COVER THIS CONTINENT IN THE PLANET'S WARM HEART FOR MY KIN."

Getting up out of her seat, Laine tapped the same button, allowing EJ, Nick and Tideus to exit the Drill Driver. She followed suit, skidding to a halt in front of the Lava Loc.

"I think not! This should cool you down! Drive Geyser!" Laine summoned her individual weapon, aimed it at the Lava Loc and fired a steady thin stream of water at the monster.

Tideus's voice echoed inside Bradley's head causing him to loose focus. His head throbbed with pain and before he was aware of it a fallen rock smack in the side of his glider. Bradley fell off his glider heading towards the ground, the glider acting on it's own instinct swoop down beneath the ranger catching him. In his new position Bradley could see Robby following him. "Glad to see one ranger cares about people." Bradley said smiling underneath his helmet. "Power Down!" Bradley said reverting to his civilian form. The city was only a few meters from his location.

"Wait I'm the Pink Drive Ranger." a confused EJ said. She pulled out her tracker to make sure she was not dreaming or some how lost the morpher. EJ stepped behind the other pink ranger still confused, "I know this is the worse possible moment but, I'm the Pink Drive Ranger. How do you have my powers?" EJ demanded.

"I think there are more pressing matters at hand EJ." Tideus interjected. EJ nodded her head lifting her tracker to eye level. "Overdrive Accelerate!" EJ yelled transforming into the second pink ranger. Following behind the first pink ranger EJ summoned her Drive Geyser firing on the Lava Loc.

As soon as Laine noticed EJ morphing, she realized instantly who EJ was. "I'll explain later!" Both Drive Geysers connected and drove the Lava Loc back a few steps.

Great sprays of steam poured from the Lava Loc as the hypervelocity water barrage held it back for a moment.

Tideus hesitated, trying to determine the path for the greatest good. Bradley and Robby would warn the city, and ironically the monster would probably save lives by causing people to flee. EJ and the newcomer seemed to at least be holding the monster. But he was still the only one who could track the time key... which lay amidst the burning heat so dangerous to his kind.

"I am going for the Time Key segment before it is lost to the volcano; if we fail there, all will be in vain. I believe the phrase is... cover me."

At the door to the Drill Driver, he crossed his arms. "It's morphin time! Yellow Aquitar Ranger power!"

Morphed, Tideus leapt from the vehicle, hopping nimbly between islands of solid rock on the rapidly breaking ground. Oppressive heat beat down from the Lava Loc, which would have floored an unprotected human.

Meanwhile, the Lava Loc seemed to have recovered from its inital surprise. With a roar, the monster scooped a large boulder in one claw and hurled it at the Drill Drivers.

Caught by surprise, Laine aimed her Drive Geyser at the large rock and opened fire. But it made hardly a dent. She stopped, tossed her Drive Geyser to EJ, "If you can, try and distract the Lava Loc! I'm going to have to move the Drill Driver!" She raced back inside, jumped into the pilot seat and placed her hands on the stick. The Drill Driver began moving in reverse, to avoid the rock. But the rock bounced off one side of the vehicle and it tipped slightly.

Nick Smith

Nick sees Bradley and Robby take off and he says 'HEY! You guys DO realise there's a giant Lava-Lizard-Thing here right?'. He turns to see the Drill Driver's door close and he turns back to the Lava Creature and says 'Well, i guess i've got no choice now. RPM, Get In Gear!'. He morphs into Ranger Black and draws his Nitro Sword. Tideus then talks to the creature and Nick says 'He ain't listenin dude.'. He then sees 2 Pink Overdive Rangers and thinks 'Huh? 2 EJ's?'. One of them ran back to the Drill Driver and Nick shakes his head and attacks the Lava Creature. He slashes with his Nitro Sword which has little effect. He then says 'Lets try THIS! ROCKET BLASTER!'. He calls forth his weapon and opens fire

The Lava Loc winced in pain from the Black ranger's blaster however, it was not enough to stop the creature from charging at the ranger. A fireball formed in the creature's mouth ready to burn the Black Ranger, Lava Locs spits the fireball at a tremendous speed. Before the Black Ranger can react EJ leaps in front of the fireball yelling, "Nick!". The impact of the fireball pushes the pink ranger on to the black ranger. Her chest smokes from the attack as the Lava Loc spits out another fireball.

Trill's search for the Time cube piece in the city had run its course. Annoyed and frustrated Trill summoned his disguised cybermen hoping they would have better luck. "Sorry boss there was no trace of a time cube piece; are you sure this is the right time?" one Cyberman asked.

"Yes, Well I'm pretty sure. The pink ranger managed to damage my chronal detector in our fight. I can not locate the time piece exactly but, I have a twenty mile radius lock on the piece. I was about to have Sparks repair the device when Lord Gamma noticed the rangers have left 2009, I only have seconds to lock on their ranger bio fields. Who knew it was the same time as the big boom." Trill answered.

"Not to speak out of line sir but, these people are going to die anyway might as well lay waste to the city. It would be a lot quicker to find the cube piece under rubble." the cyberman said. Trill impressed with henchman's suggestion nodded his head, he pressed the device revealing their natural state. "Shall we?" Trill said extending his hand out in front of him.

Zakksau had finally reached the entrance of the cave; he was take back by the strong stale stench in the air. He covered his mouth as he took his first step. It was dark, dank, and rather warm. He found the warmth odd he assumed the darkness would leave the cave cold. The darkness ran from Zakksau once his sword began to glow a bright white.

As Robby was flying the TF Eagle he notice Bradley on the board. Robby notice the city was getting near and landed the Eagle and powered down to finish the rest of the trip on foot. After a few mintues Robby was behind Bradley and says so have you thought how you are going to save these people?

Horrified by the scene playing out on the monitor, Laine pressed her foot firmly on the gas pedal. "EJ!!" The Drill Driver leapt forward and smashed into the right leg of the Lava Loc. Laine then reversed her action, this time aiming for the Lava Loc's left leg.

Nick Smith

Nick held EJ in his arms and says 'EJ........ Why'd you do that? Why'd you risk you own safety for mine?'. Before she can answer, the Lava Loc spits up another fireball. Nick lies EJ down and pulls his Nitro Sword. He stands in a Baseball stance and uses his Nitro Sword like a Baseball Bat and says 'HERE! Take it back.' and hits the fireball back at the Lava Loc. It hits it and then Laine uses the Drill Driver to attack. Nick kneels down to EJ and says 'EJ, can you here me?'

AJ walks through the Jungle thinking 'Oh man. Why me? Why'd i get sent to do this? I have no idea where i'm goin right now. If only...........'. He catches a strange smell in the air and covers his nose and says 'OH MY........ That's RANK! Ew, i can barely breathe.'. He then hears voices not too far away and thinks 'Hey, could they be who i've been sent to find?'. He makes his way towards them, keeping himself hidden

Tideus desperately picked his way up the mountainside, following the faint signal on the vortex manipulator, but rapidly running out of room for maneuver as the ground shook and cracked, showering rocks and steam. Something glowing blue shot up from the ground, and he desperately pushed on through towards it. Even morphed, the searing heat was taking its toll.

Tideus forced himself onwards, finally reaching an amporphous, glowing object. Gingerly, he picked it up, and then fumbled the superheated item as it burned his gloves. Struggling to focus, he managed to lift it telekinetically, then turned back to his colleagues and the sounds of battle.

He saw with horror the black ranger holding a fallen pink ranger. His heart sank.

The Lava Loc staggered under the Black ranger's attack and the ram of the Drill Driver, but fought on. Tideus realised grimly he would struggle to make it back through this heat unprotected. And he had to help his colleagues....

Unprotected. Of course. Waters of fate, run true...

Struggling for breath now, he stretched a hand out holding the vortex manipulator.

"Yellow Shogunzord! Power Up!"

In a storm of golden energy, the ancient beast-faced fighting machine stepped onto the battlefield. Levitating, Tideus merged into the blessed cool of the Zord's telepathic control node - a windowless, mist-filled chamber whose only feature was a prominent crystal column. Allowing the glowing object to sink to the floor, he placed his hands on the crystal, linking to the Zord's systems.

The Shogunzord stomped down the mountainside towards the Lava Loc, rivalling the monster for size. The Zord whirled its brutal weapon - a claw mounted on a long chain - for a moment, then hurled it at the Lava Loc, tangling it and dragging it back away from the other Rangers.

"GET HER OUT OF HERE!" bellowed Tideus' voice from the Shogunzord.

Bradley heard a loud explosion erupt through the city as Robby and him reached the middle of the city. "I think we're too late." a worried Bradly said running towards the explosion. Once the duo reached the origin of the explosion they found bodies laid across the street, fruit and other market supplies tossed about, and few of the buildings looked as if someone bit a chuck out of their sides. Bradley had a confused looked on his face. "I don't think the Volcano could have caused this." Bradley said slowly walking to one of the dead bodies.

He turned over the body it was a female in her early twenties, she had medium blonde hair and was rather slender. Part of her body was charred from the flames of the explosion. "Definitely not caused by volcano, and the Greeks won't use explosives for another century." Bradley said still examining her body. In the background the sounds of the Volcano and the earth crumbling increase in volume. Another explosion ahead of the rangers caught their attention.

Bradley stood up running towards the latest ruckus calling to Robby, "Let's go.". The rangers turned the corner of their previous position watching in horror as five cybermen blow up several buildings. Citizens whom had ran to their homes to escape the explosion now cried out in pain their limbs blown from their body; others felt no pain as their lifeless body laid underneath the rubble.

"YOU MONSTERS!" Bradley yelled charging towards them in one fluid motion, the teen transformed into the Blue space ranger. Overcome with rage the blue ranger begins his assault no words, no quips, not even thinking he just acts. He manages to kick two of the cybermen in the head before being punch by another in his back.

EJ's ranger suit dematerializes from her body, her body cold, her skin pale she coughs a few times but is unresponsive to Nick's question .

At the end of the cave Zakksau stops in front of a wall blocking his way. He touches the wall with his charred hand feeling the vibration on the other side of wall. "Ah the power." he said smiling. "Well I guess this is the part we fight to see who will get Gormax's Spear." Zakksau said turning around. He could not see Nick but, he addressed him anyway. "I felt your bio energy once you arrived in Jungle. I wanted to see how long it would be before you struck but, since we've come to our point this seems like a good time as any to have our inevitable battle." Zakksau added.

He looked down at his black hand before speaking, "I promise I won't make the same mistake as last time.".

Laine put the Drill Driver between the Lava Loc and where Nick and EJ are. She raced back out to the entrance to the zord where she spotted Nick carrying EJ's unconscious body, "Hurry, Nick, get EJ in here!" As they got closer, Laine ran up and aided him into the Drill Driver. Once both were inside, Laine headed back to the cockpit, "I'm getting us out of here!"

Even though Robby knew that kind of ruthless the cybermen had he had never seen anything like this. Robby still staring at the cybermenr and watched Bradley morph. Robby said time for pay back and morphs to the Qutaum Ranger and pulls his Qutatum Defender in sword mode. Robby uses the sword just slashing the cybermen with rage and fury he had lost his temper.

Once they had exited the mountainside and onto more solid ground, Laine stopped the Drill Driver. Running back to where she left Nick and EJ, Laine bent anxiously over them, "EJ! Come on, wake up please!" She picked up EJ's limp arm and attempted to find a pulse.

Fire crackled around the Yellow Shogunzord as it closed with the Lava Loc. A barrage of flames forced the Zord back as its shields struggled against the onslaught.

As the Lava Loc paused, Tideus took the offensive and sent his Zord storming forwards. The Shogunzord shoulder charged into the monster, sending it stumbling down the uneven mountainside. A barrage of blows followed, before the Lava Loc caught its balance and managed to parry. A frantic claw-swing connected with the Shogunzord's chest, leaving burn marks on the armour.

Still, Tideus began to sense he had the creature's measure. The monster genuinely seemed uncertain how to handle a foe of its own size and power. As it flailed again, Tideus' Zord stepped aside, deflecting the blow before delivering a bruising counterstrike. For a moment, the staggering Lava Loc was exposed, and the Shogunzord drove its bladed claw-rake straight into the monster's chest with all its might. A colossal fireball swamped the mountainside as the volcanic energy within the creature was released.

In the city the sounds of metal clanging together filled the air. Robby had joined Bradley in the fight managing to reduce the number of cybermen by half. A cyberman's right fist met the side of Bradley's Astro Axe; the blue ranger push the henchman backwards followed by an elbow to the left temple. The remaining cybermen regroup in front of the two rangers. "These guys want to go out with a boom, let's make that dream happen." Bradley said to Robby. The Blue ranger summoned his Astro Axe in booster mode ready to finish the last of the robotic henchmen.

EJ could feel hands touching her body but it was very faint. She felt cold and everything already her seem far away. Nick's normally booming voice sound as a whisper. She tried to call out, she tried to move but could do nothing.

Laine raised her head, sensing an uneasy feeling enter her mind, "Something's wrong. I'm going to help Tideus. Nick, stay with EJ." She ran outside just as the backlash from the release of energy sent a shockwave through the ground. Stumbling from the shock, Laine managed to stay on her feet. She looked towards the direction from which the energy had emerged, then gasped in shock, "Tideus!!!!!!!!!!!!"

As Robby was fighting the cybermen he notice that the cybermen regroup and Robby heard what Bradley said and says ok let finishes this and help the others. Robby notice Tideus fighting the Lava loc with his zord. Robby turned towards Bradley and says ok lets hit them with full power. Robby had his Qutaum Defender ready to fire.

Blue and red particles formed around the tip of the Astro Axe Booster Mode and Quantum Defender. The regrouped Cybermen charged at the two rangers, upon Bradley's command the combined blasts of the two blasters finished the robotic creatures in one medium size orange explosion. Metal parts were flung in various directions landing on rubble caused by the cybermen.

Off in the distance a huge fire wave race down the mountain rapidly engulfing everything in flames. Bradley knew it was only a matter of seconds before the city of Pompeii would meet its destined end. He touched the side of his helmet opening communication channels with the other rangers, "Rangers this is Bradley. Robby and I just defeated cybermen in the city. It would seem Lord Gamma knew to come to this time as well. From the looks of their attack on the city they were unsuccessful in locating the Time Cube Piece. Please tell me you guys have some good news?" Bradley asked.

Trill watched from the roof of one of the few remaining buildings left standing. He was furious not only were the rangers in the city but they had manage to destroy his robots. Trill looked into the horizon he was shocked to see what looked to him as a giant lizard fighting one of the legendary Shogun zords. "Could this be the cause of the city's burning? The disruption of the land started by a giant lizard and a metal titan." laughed Trill. He looked behind to the sea, a small fraction of people made it to ship sailing to their salvation. An evil though occurred to Trill, he could easily destroy them with one blast, but his chronal detector interrupted his thought.

“What’s this?” he said puzzled at its reading. The device had finally accurately located the time cube piece. Trill smiled at his recent discovery only to find disappoint when he saw the Shogun go down flames and a massive fire wave rapidly entering into the city. ‘Ugh I guess is one those ironic times you hope the good guy makes it through. I must have the Time Cube Piece or else Lord Gamma will make Zakksau’s his number one.” Trill said frowning at the thought of Zakksau’s possible promotion. He teleported from his current location and reappeared a few meters from the zord battle.

“So you’re one of those strong but silent types eh.” Zakksau said. He hopes to have gotten a rise out of his unnamed opponent but, when he heard no response he slowly backed to the wall. He touched the wall once again he could feel the power of the weapon pulsating through the wall. “I have not time for these games. I have a mission to complete” Zakksau yelled focusing on the wall.

His sword glowed with tremendous red energy, Zakksau plunged his sword into the wall. At first the wall resisted the forced entry but, soon gave under Zakksau’s determination. After a few seconds of shakes and trembles the wall crumbled revealing his covenant treasure, Gormax’s Spear.

The temperature inside the Yellow Shogunzord shot up, choking Tideus on hot air as the Zord’s systems struggled with the immense temperatures. For long moments, he was convinced he would be cooked inside his Zord’s armour. Then, mercifully, the heat began to abate as the fireball from the Lava Loc dissipated.

The Zord was flat on its back, its yellow armour charred and smoking. Given time, the machine would heal itself from the energies of the morphing grid, but for now it was in a battered state. With a massive effort of will, he forced his Zord to its feet. The Lava Loc was gone, a massive crater all that remained – whether it had fled, or been destroyed, he couldn’t say. Looking up the mountainside with the Zord’s eyes, he could see lava starting to flow from the cracks where the Lava Loc had emerged, followed by more from further up the mountain. Whether or not the monster had started the eruption, even a Shogunzord would be helpless to stop it now.

Tideus’ gaze turned to the rapidly cooling object on the floor of the control node. Now it was no longer glowing with heat, it seemed to be long loop of gleaming crystal beads. Almost absent mindedly, he picked it up and wrapped it around his wrist. The other Rangers would need help.

Allowing the Zord to teleport away, he dropped to the ground, looking for the other Rangers. The last thing he expected was another monster.

“I will take that” threatened Trill. “Give it to me now, and I’ll consider sparing you.”

“And you are…?” Tideus asked.

“I am Trill, the chosen Knight of Lord Gamma. You could not defeat that imbecile Zakksau – you have no chance against me. Now, give me the necklace.”

Despite his aches, Tideus shook his head.

“You’ll have to catch me first.” He leapt sideways just as a bolt of lightning struck where he’d been standing, then sprinted back down the side of the mountain to find the others.

AJ sighs and says to himself 'Oh well, it's now or never i guess.'. He jumps down to the cave entrance and says 'Hey you, the guy with the sword.'. Zakksau turns and faces AJ and AJ says 'That thing in the wall there, isn't your's pal. So i'm told, it's needed for a few new friends of mine. So why don't ya just hand it over before this gets ugly. Ok?'

The spot the yellow ranger stood on smoked from the lightning strike. "Ugh, why do you make this so difficult?" an annoyed Trill asked. The knight warrior gave chase down the mountainside leaping from one side to the next avoiding cracked and raised earth from the volcano eruption. The lava was followed by dark ash sputtering out of the top of the volcano like smoke rings.

As Trill continued to chase after the Yellow ranger his breathing became shallower and shallower, it was becoming more difficult to breathe while running for such a long distance. Trill's eyes glowed yellow, firing laser energy around Tideus. "I thought rangers were brave and never backed down from a fight. What sort of creature are you that would run to their mommy at the first sign of trouble?" Trill yelled.

"I've lost contact with the other rangers. We need to go, there is nothing left for us to do here. Besides I'm not a fan of being burnt to a crisp, I don't mind being charred but crisp is where I draw the line." Bradley joked. The blue galaxy glider zipped into the city picking up the two rangers. Both rangers managed to escape within seconds of the fire wave burning they city. Robby was dropped off at his TF Eagle while Bradley headed back to the point he had left the other rangers, hoping they were still alive.

"Now I would have consider it if you had said it nicely. Since your ranger training does not include manners, its up to me to give you a proper lesson." Zakksau said lunging at AJ with his sword extended out.

Though intended as an insult, Trill's yells were exactly what Tideus hoped to hear. The more frustrated and angry the monster became, the more likely he was to make a mistake. And unlike most battles, on this occasion there were no immediate innocents in danger to defend.

Noticing the monster slowing, Tideus wondered if its heavy armour was encumbering it. Still, he wasn't in great shape either, but at least he had a moment to think as he reflexively dodged the blasts and took cover behind a boulder. He had to get the team back together.

Tideus closed his eyes, and tried to reach out telepathically.

Rangers, I have the artefact. Where are you now?

AJ sighs and says 'Here we go.'. He dodges Zakksau and pulls out his Solar Morpher. He puts the shades on and calls out 'Jungle Beast, Spirit UNLEASHED!'. He transforms and says 'With the strength of a Tiger, Jungle Fury Red Ranger.'. He summons his Jungle Chucks and says to Zakksau 'Care to dance big boy?'

Nick sits with EJ. He takes off his helmet and says 'Come on EJ, stay with me. You............ You're the first person i met on this team.......... And you're the only one i like.'. He laughs slightly as a tear rolls down his cheek. He then says 'Please.............. Just stay.............'. He then hears a mumbling voice. He looks around and sees no one nearby. He hears it again and thinks 'What is that?'

"His mommy would dare you to repeat that to her ears." Laine's Overdrive blaster sang out twice, striking Trill on both legs.

Robby was getting the TF Eagle after Bradley dropped him and heard something. Not sure what it was he closed his eyes and just litsen then Robby heard it again then relazed it was Tideus calling for help. Robby jumped in the Eagle and took off towards Tideus.

Tideus splashed into a small mountain stream, still running despite the heat. He felt some of his dehydration fading as he made contact, blue energy crackling around him. Although he could not hear their thoughts, he could sense the other rangers responding.

Turning on the spot, he faced Trill.

"I've found what I was looking for, mutant - but I do not think you understand the concept of teamwork."

Laine's sudden attack caught Trill by surprise, tipping him off balance. Tideus followed with a flying kick, knocking the armoured monster off his feet.

"Excellent, Pink Ranger! Keep hitting him!" he shouted.

Zakksau catches himself on the rock wall with his left hand. He can feel the change in energy flow as AJ transform into the red ranger. "How fitting the jungle is where I will bury you." Zakksau said twirling his sword. Zakksau attempted landing another strike on the red ranger this time aiming for the ranger's chest.

Pompeii 79 AD

"Tideus thank goodness you're ok and you found the time cube piece." Bradley said sighing with relief. "Robby and I will be at your location in about 3 mins. I need to warn you some of Lord Gamma forces have arrived in this time period." Bradley added. He lean forward on his glider increasing the speed.

AJ smirks underneath his helmet and says 'Bad move tough guy.'. AJ then uses his Jungle Chuck to block Zakksau's attack. But as he does, he feels Zakksau's strength and thinks 'Holy crap. This guy's strong. I better not play around with him, otherwise i'll be in even more trouble than i already am.'

Nick Smith

Nick sits with EJ, still hearing a faint voice. He keeps looking around but he can't see anyhting. He thinks 'DAMN IT! Where is that voice coming from?'. He then remembers something that Tideus said. That maybe the Rangers had a telepathic link to the Time Space Manipulator like he did. Nick then thinks 'Is that what's trying to talk to me?'

Trill ducked behind some raised earth caused by the volcanic activity. Pink laser blast whizzed around the raised earth a few landing where Trill's head was peeking out of. "You stupid twits! Do you know who I am? I am the Royal Knight to Lord Gamma the soon to be ruler over all time and space. You think two former rangers can stop me?" He yelled from behind his rock. Trill lifted his left arm to his face speaking into his communication device. "Sparks send me a few more cybermen." Trill commanded.

"Sorry Trill I can do that. Lord Gamma has cease production on generation 7 Cybermen since their shelf life is one battle with the rangers. It will be a while before the necessary upgrades are available. Looks like you're on your own. Oh by the way Zakksau has located Gormax's Spear." Sparks replied. Trill ended the conversation before Sparks could speak again.

Trill knew he had one chance to get his hands on the time cube piece. Trill jumped over the rock as more pink lasers whizzed by his head; two more stuck him in the leg. He bite his bottom lip from the pain but, continued his charged. Using his sword as shield, Trill swatted the remainder of the lasers away from his body. When he was close he slashed the driver defender out of the Pink ranger's hand, followed by a elbow to her left temple stunning the ranger for a few seconds.

Trill rushed towards the Yellow ranger his eyes fixated on the dangling necklace. Trill placed his sword to the right of his body, charging the weapon with energy. "Give me the time cube piece." yelled Trill. He thrust his sword forward meeting a combination of red and blue blasts. Confused, Trill looked up to face a red and white boot connecting with his face. The monster fell backwards dropping his sword.

Bradley and Robby landed in front of Tideus their blasters in hand. "Looks like you guys have started the party with us." Bradley joked, he looked over his right shoulder. He saw the time cube piece dangling from Tideus's hand. "I'm assuming that's it. I don't know about you guys but, I'm ready to go." Bradley said. The ground around them began to crack open. "Um like now!" Bradley added.

"I'm done playing with you." Zakksau said spinning around, "Swords dance!" he added. Circling around him appeared sixteen swords, two swords would cross each other back and forth giving the illusion they were dancing. Zakksau aimed his sword at the red ranger's position; the swords stopped dancing around Zakksau and hurl themselves towards the red ranger.

AJ sees the swords flying towards him and thinks 'Oh crap. This isn't......'. He dodges 2 swords, but then gets hit by another one. He falls to one knee, but he's got no time ro rest. 4 more swords whizz past him. He thinks 'What? They completely missed........'. Then the remaining 10 hit him all at once and pin him down to the floor. He tries to get free but is unable to. 'DAMN! I......... Can't move...........'

Nick Smith

Nick picks EJ up and says 'Just hold on EJ. For some reason, i know that the others have found the Time Cube Piece. Don't worry. I'm gonna get you to them. And they'll take care of you............. Even if i have to die trying.'. Nick then begins to make his way towards the others

Zakksau

Upon seeing his attack render the red ranger immobile, Zakksau quickly rushes to back to the spear. He picks up the weapon and runs out of the cave. He checks behind to make sure the red ranger is still withering in pain. Happy with the ranger status, the alien creature teleports from the area. A small silver ball rolls down the cave next to AJ's head. The ball opens up to reveal a smaller timer counting down from 25 seconds.

EJ

EJ could feel her heart beat slowing down with each second, her body temperature lowering and her thoughts became more lucid. Yet, she still kept fighting to stay alive. When she first realize she was going to do die she was angry at the Hartfords. The arrival of the second Pink driver ranger meant they knew of her fate. "After all that we've been through why would you send me to my fateful end?" she wondered.

She felt a warm sensation on her cheek that quickly cooled. It rolled down her cheek plopping on the zord's floor. She realize it was Nick's tears she smiled calling out his name, "Nick." But Nick was already outside the zord.

Recovering her Drive Defender, Laine somersaulted over to the three Rangers. "Let's get out of here!" as the ground cracked even more. She turned to glance once at the Time Cube piece that Tideus held in his hand, "Now that you've got the piece, I'm gonna head back to where Nick and EJ are! See you guys back in 2009."

She raced down the mountain. Reaching the Drill Driver, Laine scrambled inside but saw no sign of Nick, "Where did he go?" She had no time to consider his leaving, heading for the cockpit. Taking her seat, Laine revved the engine and entered the time portal and returned to 2009.

Getting up from the pilot seat, Laine hurried to the hangar bay. She knelt and propped up the now conscious but still dying EJ, "Hey there."

Robby was sanding beside Bradley and heard Bradley say I don't know about you guys but, I'm ready to go Robby said to the other ranger go I will hold this guy off and getcha up to you. Robby his Quantum Defender in sword mode and says know go rangers.

"We must find EJ and Nick first" stated Tideus. "Remember - we must be in contact to use the portal together."

"Then you're going nowhere!" sneered Trill. Standing, he charged into Robby. For a furious moment, the Quantum Ranger held the monster alone.

Nick appeared, sprinting towards the battle. Tideus and Bradley joined the fight, sword and axe lashing out onto Trill's armour.

As Trill staggered away, Tideus placed a hand onto each of Robby and Bradley's shoulders. An orange glow began to surround the three.

"Nick! Come on!" he yelled.

Nick Smith

Nick sees the other Rangers and also sees an orange glow. He recognises it and thinks 'Come on........ I GOTTA MAKE IT!'. He runs as fast as he can. Trill steps in his way and Nick screams 'OUTTA MY WAY!'. He summons his Rocket Blaster and fires a barrage of shots at Trill, knocking him out of the way. Nick then lunges forward and places his hand on Tideus's shoulder and says 'Lets get goin before he comes back.'

Aaron James

AJ looked at the timer and says 'I gotta move. Only one thing i can do to get free. JUNGLE MASTER MODE!'. The transformation and excess energy releases AJ from the swords. He then says 'Strike Rider, CRUISE!'. He then speeds away just as the timer reaches 0.

Laine headed out from the Drill Driver, carrying EJ in her arms. Sending the zord back to its base, Laine hurried up the stairs of the Hartford mansion. Seeing Andrew standing there, Laine shook her head, "She's too badly injured and may not make it." she told him.

Trill dusted himself off as he watched his hope of obtaining the time cube piece vanish in an orange glow. The lava began to flow down the mountain burning everything in its way. The ground opened up around him devouring the trees and landscape. Trill quickly teleported from his location as the ground crumbled into the abyss below.

The boys arrived back at Cross Cities Lake, Bradley a little disoriented stumbles as he walks out of the glow. "That's still going to take some getting use to." Bradley said shaking his head. Blue light danced around his body revealing his civilian form. "Let's hope the girls made it back safely." Bradley added.

"I am sure the girls are fine. What's important now is we contact the Watcher to let him know we have the Time cube piece so we can locate the next one." Robby said.

Telepathically the Watcher spoke to the rangers, "Rangers I'm afraid the necklace in Tideus's possession is not a time cube piece."

"Wait we did all that and it's not even a time cube piece." Bradley said his voice rising.

"As I informed you earlier there will be objects that once were in close proximity to an actual piece, thus giving off the same readings as a real time cube piece. Consider what you have as a clue to the location to a time cube piece. Use this knowledge as an advantage over Lord Gamma. However, Lord Gamma now thinks you have a time cube piece; he will stop at nothing to retrieve the piece." The Watcher said.

"Anyone else getting the feeling we put a giant X on our backs now?" Bradley asked raising his hand.

"Be that as it may blue ranger it is important to keep things in perspective. Also you may have noticed an additional Pink ranger, I have added two new rangers to the team. Laine will replace EJ as the Pink Drive and soon you will meet AJ the Red Jungle Fury Ranger. I ask that all rangers head to Hartford Mansion. Nick, I have program your vehicle with coordinates. I will be contact soon. Good Luck Rangers!" The Watcher said ending his conversation.

The four boys look at each other before Bradley blurted out, "Road Trip!"

EPISODE 3 - CIVIL WAR

Nick Smith And Aaron James

Everyone had made their way to the Hartford Mansion. Nick was the last to arrive. As he pulls up, he looks at the Hartford Mansion and thinks 'DAMN! What a place to live.'. He gets out of his car and sees a guy on a Red Motorcycle pull up. It's AJ. He takes off his helmet and says to Nick 'Is this the Hartford Mansion?'. Nick replies 'That depends. Who's askin?'. AJ says 'Oh, the name's Aaron James. But you can call me AJ.'. Nick smirks and says 'Lemme guess, you're a Power Ranger right?'. AJ nods and says 'You too?'. Nick nods and says 'You comin inside then?'. AJ replies 'Sure.'. Nick takes out a cigarette and AJ snatches it off him and says 'That's bad for you.'. Nick replies 'Who cares?'. The 2 enter to see the other Rangers talking, minus EJ. Nick says 'Hey guys. This is AJ. He's a Ranger too. I'm gonna go see how EJ's doin.'

While the human rangers were downstairs, Tideus stood by EJ's bed, staring at his injured comrade. In his mind, he went over his decisions again and again. The Yellow Shogunzord had been more than a match for the Lava Loc; had he engaged the monster immediately, EJ would not have been hurt. And the item he'd risked her life to save was not even part of the time cube. He shook his head. There was a good reason that Delphine and Aurico directed the Aquitian Rangers - he lacked their instinctive grasp of what was required.

He bowed to the sleeping EJ and stepped silently from the room, only to run into Nick. The young human's concern was clearly visible on his face.

"She is still unconscious; I can sense baseline mental activity but little more - but at least she is stable." Tideus paused, and looked away. "I am so sorry. I should have focussed on the mutant instead of leaving you."

Just then Laine walked around the corner, a distracted look on her face. She stopped abruptly when she looked up and saw both Tideus and Nick standing there. "Sorry, I was just coming to check up on her." Laine said. Continuing on into the room, Laine stood beside the sleeping EJ and looked down at her. Bending slightly, Laine brushed a lock of hair off EJ's forehead.

Outside the Hartford Mansion Robby was just looking around. It had a been a rough couple of days and his mind was wondering to the necklesse and how it will help them find the time piece. After a few mintues of think Robby goes back into the Mansion and goes to where EJ'S room. Robby looks at here and can't help but feel that it is his fault maybe if he stayed with them he could have stop it from happing.

Nick Smith

Nick smiles and places a hand on Tideus's shoulder and says 'Hey, no one needs to take any blame. We can all look back at what happened and wish we did things differently. But the truth is, we all risked alot out there. All we can do now is help her get better.'. Nick makes his way to EJ's side. He kneels down and holds her hand and thinks 'If anyone's to blame............ It's me. Why'd you risk your life just for me EJ? Why?'. A tear rolls down his cheek

AJ made his way up to EJ's room where everyone else had gone. He walks in and says 'Err, hi. I'm sorry to interrupt but err, i'm still kinda in the dark as to what's goin on.'

Spencer came hustling along the hallway and into the room. He began shooing both from the room, "Everybody out, the lady needs her recovery time." When Laine remained, Spencer pointed a finger at the door, "I said out." Laine glanced sheepishly at him, then obeyed and left, along with AJ.

Once they had gone, the butler turned and walked out himself. He faced the group milling in the hallway, "Oh, before I forget, Andrew wants to see all of you in his study."

While the rangers were huddling outside EJ's door, Bradley sat on the living room deciding if he should text Kyle.

Bradley: Sup

Kyle: Hello Mr. President

Bradley: Lol...u r crazy. How r u?

Kyle: I'm fine. Is there something I can help you with?

Bradley: Um...I was just checkin to see how u r doing? Sounds like u're still mad about the other day...once again it was never my intentions to upset you.

Kyle: Hmmm...ok...if u don't need anything...ttyl

Bradley placed his phone back in his pocket. Sighing, Bradley lean his head back against the couch cushion. He closed his eyes in frustration; it was clear Kyle was not going to be friendly to him for a while. Sadly, between ranger duty and class Bradley would not have the time to repair the friendship.

Spencer peered over the couch looking down at Bradley. "Mr. Hartford would like to see you." he said. Bradley nodded his head sliding off the end of the couch. "Is everything alright?" Spencer asked.

"No, but I can't worry about that now." Bradley answered, he exited the room walking into Andrew's study.

Tideus nodded gratefully at Nick’s support, exiting the room as Spencer swept in. He nodded at the butler. The human’s unusual knowledge of this world’s oceans had fascinated Tideus, and Spencer – like most former sailors – had been happy to oblige with stories.

Tideus turned to Laine. “We should talk. Your sudden appearance, the duplicated powers with EJ.... I am concerned that damage is already being done to the fabric of time.”

He frowned. “I am not an expert, but from what I know the existence of duplicate Ranger powers is indicative of something going very wrong. Unless your Overdrive technology has found a radically new way to exploit the universal morphing grid, or one of you is a lesser copy… it would be like finding identical snowflakes.”

Spencer’s announcement interrupted the discussion, and Tideus followed the other Rangers to Hartford’s study.

Nick places a hand on AJ's shoulder and says 'There'll be time for questions later. Now move it Newbie.'. AJ replies 'Newbie?'. Nick pushes AJ playfully and says 'Lighten up. Come on. Time for a meeting.'. AJ smirks. Nick's attitude reminded him of one of his teammates back in Ocean Bluff. AJ follows Nick and the others to Mr Hartford's office

As Robby was standing outdie the Door to EJ he notice the butler come make everyone leave and go to Hartfords Office. When Robby was walking to the office he notice a new guy walking with Nick. Robby thought for a seconf how many more Rnagers is going to join this mission.

Mr. Hartford stood up from behind his desk as the rangers filled the study. "Greetings rangers. As most of you know I am Andrew Hartford, and I am responsible for the creation of Drive Power Rangers. As well as all the zords, weapons, and technology used by the rangers," Andrew said walking in front of his desk. He leans against his desk looking at all the rangers.

"Because of the nature of your mission, I thought it best to lend all my resources to you. I want you to consider my home a base of operations. I'm sure you will find my resources to be helpful in retrieving Time Cube Pieces similar to the Drive Rangers and their Corona Aurora mission," Andrew said with a coy smile.

Bradley step forward speaking first, "Thank you Mr. Hartford, we welcome the help. Our last mission unfortunately did not yield expect results."

Andrew shook his head replying to Bradley's statment, "Yes, the Watcher mention the dummy time cube pieces. It is my understanding though the necklace is a clue to an actual time cube piece."

"Correct, but outside of nice jewelry we haven't a clue where to start." Bradley replied.

"Hmm...my suggestion is analyze the necklace, find it's origins and they may lead you to where you want to go," Andrew said gesturing with his right hand.

"Tideus and I can work on that." Bradley said looking over at Tideus.

"Good, my lab is below us right now. Once we're done here you can take the fireman's pole down to it," Andrew said.

Laine stepped toward the desk and smiled at him, "Mr. H., it's good to be back." Andrew grinned at her, "Will tells me your brothers are doing fine." Then his face became serious as he faced the group, "To our next piece of business, I was informed by the Watcher recently as to why a replacement for the Pink Ranger must be found.'"

He paused, taking in the group's reaction before continuing.

Nick looks at Mr Hartford and says 'Well? Why do we need a replacement? EJ's upstairs and she's doin fine. She'll be back on her feet in no time right?'

Bradley noticed the tension building within Nick, he steps forward. "Whoa let's keep calm here. There is no need to jump to any unwarranted emotions until we hear him out," Bradley said looking at Nick.

"Thank you Bradley." Andrew said. "To answer your question Nick, EJ right now is stable. She seems to be in a unresponsive coma. I don't mean to be the barer of somber news, but I'm not sure if she will wake up." Andrew added.

Tideus put a hand on Nick's shoulder. "Her mind still functions. There is hope."

He turned to the others. "I have sought advice on the Necklace. Let us see if they have any answers. To the lab, then."

Once in the lab, Tideus turned to Hartford. "Mr Hartford, I need to use the viewer which monitors the universal grid. It should be compatible with my communicator. May I?

Andrew Hartford gestured towards a computer screen, and Tideus placed his communicator onto a nearby console.

"This is Tideus. Can you hear me?"

A fuzzy image appeared on the screen, resolving into a dark-skinned Aquitian.

"Your signal is through. Greetings, Rangers of Earth. I am Cestro, technology specialist. I have compared the design and properties of the necklace with our records of other worlds, but in the end I needed those of the Triforians. The necklace's diamond structure comes from a world called Cortex, from which nothing has been heard in several years. I fear a great evil may have befallen it. Tideus, I will transmit the astrocartography to your communicator."

In the lab Robby was watching what was going and heard what Cesrto said on the screen. Robby looked at the other and says why do I not like the sound of that. Don't tell me that means we have to go in to space and to this planet. This mission just keeps getting weirder.

Nick couldn't help but react the way he did towards the situation with EJ. Even though he hadn't really known her long, he felt a strong connection to her. As Bradley says 'Whoa let's keep calm here. There is no need to jump to any unwarranted emotions until we hear him out,', Nick shoots him a cold look. Tideus then says 'Her mind still functions. There is hope.'. Nick nods and says 'Thanks T. I needed to hear that.'. AJ steps up to Nick and says 'Hey, i know i'm new here, but i gotta say, being a Ranger has shown me that ANYTHING's possible. Have faith. She'll be ok.'. Nick smiles and says 'Thanks...... Newbie.'. They both then head to the lab with everyone else

Cestro's message faded, the brief link locked. Tideus turned to Robby.

"It would appear we have little choice - we have no other lead. Getting there may prove to be harder, though."

He turned back to Andrew Hartford, and Laine. "I apologise for being abrupt. The window for a signal to Aquitar was limited."

"Mr Hatford, Laine has proven her courage. But you said you could explain her as the Pink Ranger? I am just worried that she is the result of a time fold. It is the only other situation I have heard of leading to identical rangers."

Aaron James

AJ stepped forward and says 'Err, i have a question. I heard a story about a Ranger that had his powers duplicated. They co-existed for a while, but soon, they both started losing their powers. You see, two identical powers can't exist in one place. They ended up fighting each other until one of them was, well, gone. So, my question is, that isn't gonna happen here right?'

Andrew shook his head, "No. Our situation is different. The duplicate ranger was derive from the power of the original ranger. As you can see EJ and Laine are two separate individuals, neither is dependent on the other. I'm not quite sure if I can truly explain it, but what I can say is the Watcher instructed me to select a pink ranger and I did." Andrew said. The room still looked puzzled.

"Ugh! Why are we making this so complicated? Look we are on a time mission. Anytime we go back into the past or into the future we create a new time line that didn't exist before. So it would seem our time line included one pink ranger and then our presence in the past must has alter time resulting in a new pink ranger. However, and don't quote me on this I don't think both can exist as pink rangers." Bradley said rubbing his forehead in frustration.

"Seems like the solution to the problem would be one pink ranger and the other picks another color. Even though we met EJ as a pink ranger right now she's not capable to do that right now. Laine was picked by Mr. Hartford ,their mentor, might as well let her continue her role as pink ranger. When EJ wakes up if Mr. Hartford feels comfortable with her as a ranger she can assumed another color. I'm sorry I'm not normally like this, but I felt a long unnecessary discussion about this coming on. Right now we need to stay focus on time cube pieces." Bradley added.

Laine stepped forward, removing her Tracker and placing it on the desk in clear view of everyone, "Then I will let EJ continue on as the Pink Overdrive Ranger." Her gaze stayed on Andrew's face.

Tideus picked the Tracker up and handed it back to Laine.

"Your gesture is true to the Ranger code, but I do not believe it is necessary. Whatever we might wish, EJ will be in no condition to bear her powers for some time. This matter can be decided once she has recovered."

"You are correct, Mr Hartford. If we are considering going to Cortex, we must assume Lord Gamma is doing the same. That being the case, I must attempt to work out how to feed the coordinates into the Vortex Manipulator. "

Tideus moved to a corner of the lab, laying his communicator, power coin. the necklace, and the golden band of the vortex manipulator in front of him. He pressed his hands together, and closed his eyes as though meditating.

In the lab Robby as listing to what Tideus say "It would appear we have little choice - we have no other lead. Getting there may prove to be harder, though."
Robby said to Tideus I guess boy blue over here will be the one to get us there and Robby looks at Bradley. He turns to the others and says while all of you get the travel plans set I'm going to find a drink. Robby heads back up stairs till finds the kitchen. Robby looked around till he found some bourbon, he pours a glass and takes a sit. He takes a sip and things about the day.

Nick Smith

Nick points in Robby's direction and says 'I like how this man thinks.'. He follows him to the kitchen and says 'Hey, can you pour me one of those?'

Aaron James

AJ shook his head as Robby and Nick leave. He then steps forward and says 'Well, while those 2 drink, i guess it's up to us to sort out the plan right? SO, where do we start? How long will it gake to get to our destination Mr Hartford?'

"I guess boy blue over here will be the one to get us there." Robby said looking at Bradley. Bradley nodded his head, "Yes. Once Tideus has uploaded the coordinates into the manipulator, I can use those coordinates in the Deltaship to reach Cortex." Robby left the room mentioning something about a drink, followed by Nick.

'Well, while those two drink, i guess it's up to us to sort out the plan right? SO, where do we start? How long will it take to get to our destination Mr Hartford?' asked AJ.

"I don't know how long it will take, but Bradley's ship should lessen the duration of trip compared to anything I have here." Mr. Hartford answered.

"The Deltaship has twice as many light speed warp drives as the megaship. Once we're loaded up we should be there in no time." Bradley replied. The room is soon filled with flashing lights and alarms. Mr. Hartford runs over to one of the computers the look on his face is alarms the other rangers. "This is bad. We have two issues here. Trill and about thirty cybermen are marching up to the mansion, no doubt coming for the necklace." Andrew reported.

"And the second?"

"There seems to be a crab monster down by the shipping docks."

"Alright Laine, AJ, and I will go to the shipping docks. Inform Robby and Nick of our uninvited guests, while Tideus works on vortex sync." Bradley ordered stepping back from the computer. He looked at the other two, "Let's do this. Let's Rocket!" Seconds later the blue ranger landed in the middle of the shipping yard.

Robby was in the kitchen and heard Nick ask him to pour him a drink. Robby turned to Nick hand him a glass and poured him one. Robby looked at Nick and says if you just sit there and not talk to much we will get along fine ok man. I'm just not one for convertion as Robby finshed is drink and poured him another one.

"Right behind you." Laine grasped the Overdrive Tracker firmly. Running it down her arm, she morphed, "Overdrive Accelerate!" Reappearing in the shipping docks, Laine could hear the screams of the frightened dock workers as they ran from the monster.

"There he is!" Laine raced around one of the shipping containers. She took in the scene of the crab monster threateningly advancing towards one of the workers. "Hey, lobsterbrain, over here!" Laine waved her arms in an attempt to get its attention.

The monster halted it's pursuit of the worker once the pink ranger arrived on the scene. The monster turn to face the pink ranger with an annoyed look. "I'm a crab not a lobster dear. I am the Crusty Crab. I am a sea dweller; for years my people have relocated several times due to you surface dwellers' pollution and expansion...No More!" the creature yelled waving his claw at Laine.

Hartford Mansion

Andrew ran up stairs as AJ, Laine, and Bradley left to fight the crab monster. Andrew rushed into the kitchen finding Nick and Robby on their second drink. He cleared his throat in an authoritarian tone. "Rangers we'll discuss drinking on the job later, right now you two are need outside the estate. Trill and thirty cybermen are storming the mansion, the other rangers are taking care of another situation. You two think you can handle these guys yourselves?"

As the other Rangers left, Tideus focussed on the Vortex Manipulator.

His face creased with concentration as he tried to telepathically 'write' the information to the Manipulator. In theory, the telepathic matrix worked like any other information system - but to use it he had to push the complex astrographic data directly in. Cestro or Billy would probably have found it easy, but Tideus had never claimed to be the cleverest of his team. Still, bit by bit the data went in. With some relief, he relaxed and picked up his power coin and communicator.

Suddenly, the room was bathed in an orange glow as the manipulator linked to his now-active Power Coin...

AJ clenches his fist and thinks 'Ok, it's time to show these guys what Jungle Fury's all about.'. He rushes off with Laine and Bradley. They arrive at the Docks and AJ says 'This is gonna be easy. If we all work together, that Big Crab doesn't stand a chance.'. He dons his Solar Morpher and calls out 'Jungle Beast, Spirit UNLEASHED!'. He transforms into the Red Fury Ranger and summons his Shark Sabers and says ' How about some Sushi guys?'

Nick Smith

Nick downs his second drink and says 'Trill and 30 Cybermen? Is that all?'. He smirks and says 'I gotta admit, i need to work off a little frustration. Trill and his Cybermen are the perfect way to do that.'. He rushes outside and says 'You picked the wrong day to mess with ME! RPM, Get In Gear!'. He transforms into Ranger Black and draws his Nitro Sword and says 'I'm gonna scrap all of you Junk Bots.'. He rushes into battle against the Cybermen

"Lobster, Crab, makes no difference to me, Fishface!" Laine whipped out her Drive Geyser and opened fire, aiming a thin stream of water at the Crusty Crab. Seeing AJ running up behind her, Laine raced forward, spinning in a spin towards the monster. She spin-punched it a few times, then leaped over behind it and landed a dropkick on the Crusty Crab.

"Ugh, and Sushi used to be my favourite food." Laine complained somewhat loudly.

As Robby was sitting finishing his second Drink he heard what Mr. Hardford said to him and Nick. Robby stood up and says don't worry we got this. Robby runs outside takes his left wrist and says Quantum power and morphs to the Quantum Ranger. Robby took out his Quantum Defender and takes a few shots at the cyberman. Robby turned to Nick and says I don't even think this is going to be a work out.

AJ sees Laine's attack on the Lobster Monster. He says 'Great work Laine. My turn.'. He rushes forward, one Shark Saber on his shoulder, the other dragging across the floor. He jumps up as he reahes the Monster, slashing him with the Saber he was dragging. As the 2 go airborne, AJ spins round, using his second Saber to strike the Monster again, sending it crashing into some nearby crates. He land on his feet and then says 'You're up Bradley.'

Nick Smith

Nick and Robby were battling the Cybermen while Trill makes his way to the Hartford Mansion door. Nick shouts 'HOLD IT TRILL!'. A punch of Cybermen pile on Nick and he says 'GET.......... OFF.......... ME!'. He powers out, knocking the Cybermen to the floor. He jumps in Trill's way and says 'Nuh uh. You don't have an appointment. So i'm gonna have to ask you to leave.'

"Black ranger. We don't have to keep doing this song and dance for me. If you like me than just tell me, instead playing all these games." Trill grinned. He stepped his right hand glowing with yellow electricity. "By the way how is EJ?" Trill said firing a medium size electric beam at Nick.

Shipping Docks

"With pleasure." Bradley grinned, he summoned his Astro Axe in booster mode. Crusty crab brushed himself off in time to be pelted by a barrage of blue lasers. His body jerked with each hit, when the ranger was close enough he converted his blaster to its blade form. Bradley slashed downward on the crab creature with such a force it left behind a blue streak of energy. Crusty Crab howled in pain as his body filled with blue electricity. Bradley spun around kicking the walking seafood meal in the midsection; Crusty crab sailed across the docks landing in the water. A few seconds later the water rose up from the monster's explosion. "Anyone up for the catch of the day?" Bradley joked.

The three rangers turned away, but their attention returned to the water when Crusty Crab climbed out of the water yelling, "@#$%& surface dwellers. You think you can hurt me, hard outer shell". The monster banged on his chest. "Now let me show you true power." Three blue lightning bolts struck the rangers knocking them back. "Not the results I was looking for. We need something than can penetrate his shell, any ideas?"

From where she was flung, Laine rose to her feet. Under her helmet she wore a determined expression, "Let's see if this works! Defender Vest!" As the vest formed around her upper body, she reached up with her left hand and grasped the Drill Blaster appearing overhead. "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the fire!" Laine yelled, as she pressed the firing button and turned the Crusty Crab to stone.

"Drill Blaster Mode!" Then she flipped the Drill Blaster around and repeated firing once more. "Drill Blaster!" The blast went through the Crusty Crab's tough shell. And it exploded seconds later.

"And he's outta here!"

Nick filled with rage when Trill mentioned EJ. As Trill fired his beam at Nick, Nick screams 'DON'T YOU DARE SAY HER NAME YOU PIECE OF TRASH!'. He tries to block the attack, but it's stronger ghan he anticipates, and he gets blown through the Hartford Mansion front door. Trill laughs and says 'Stupid boy.' as he begins to enter the Hartford Mansion. Nick gets back up, his rage still burning. He screams 'GrrrrrAAAAAAAGHHHH!'. He charges Trill, tackling him back outside. The 2 land on the front lawn and Nick then says 'You are NOT getting in there. GOT IT?'

Aaron James

AJ looks at Bradley and says 'I guess THAT did it huh?', gesturing to Laine using the Drill Blaster. He then says 'I was just about to use Jungle Master Mode too. Oh well, Good job Laine.'

As Robby was fighting the last of the Cybermen he could see Nick fighting with Trill. Robby quickly turned back towards the cybermen and got a kick in the chest from one that sent him backwards. He touched his chest and looked back up at the Cydermen and says Time to finish this. Robby puts his Quatum Defender in sword. He takes a quick step and runs through the cybermen using his sword to cut through what was left of the cybermen. Robby turns at Nick and says I'm on my way

Trill backed away from the Black ranger planning his next move. "Someone is a bit touchy today aren't they? That's it no more sweets before time traveling." Trill fired a series of electric beams at the black ranger. Trill dash towards the door while the Black ranger was busy deflecting his attacks. Out of the corner of his eye he could see the Quantum ranger destroying the last of the Cybermen. "Sparks I thought you upgraded the Cybermen?" Trill yelled into his communicator.

"Just give them a few seconds and you will see what the new upgrade is." a voice said out of the communicator. Trill continue to run towards the door hoping the upgrade would occur soon before either ranger would block entrance. The fallen and dismantled cybermen began to reform and rise to their feet again. "Nice." Trill grinned.

Shipping yard

Bradley walked over to Laine knocking on her Defender Vest, "Nice hardware. And good quick thinking back there. We should be in the clear now." Bradley looked at the rumble that once was the Crusty Crab. "Ok good just wanted to make sure there were not last second regeneration. Everyone good?" Both rangers nodded their heads. "Good let's head back just in case Nick and Robby need our help."

Nick gets blasted at again, but this time, he deflects the blasts with his Nitro Sword. He sees Trill about to enter the Hartford Mansion once again and says 'Oh no you don't you son of a.........'. A group pof Cybermen swarm him, holding him back. 'What the.......... GET OFF ME YOU DAMN RUST BUCKETS!'. Trill enters the Mansion and Nick screams 'MR HARTFORD! TRILL'S INSIIDE!'

A Red flash of light streaks past Nick and enters the Hartford Mansion. A moment later, Trill comes flying through a window. Trill says 'How dare you, you little..........'. AJ jumps through the window in Jungle Master Mode and says 'Whatever you're trying to do, it's not gonna happen.'. Trill replies 'Really? And why's that exactly?'. AJ points behind Trill and says 'Because of them.'. Trill turns to see Bradley and Laine running towards him

Laine grinned, "Thanks. And yeah, we should get back there." She turned away from the remains of the Crusty Crab, only to see AJ gone. Laine shook her head in dismay, "AJ, wait up!"

Running up the driveway of the Hartford mansion, Laine saw AJ tackle Trill. She let out a slight yell, seeing the Cybermen advance toward them. "Out of our way! Bradley, go help AJ and Nick, I'll handle these guys."

At the mansion Robby was running towards Nick when a cyberman kicked Robby from behind and sent him to the ground. Robby got up and get ready to fight. He notices that the other rangers had showed up to help. Robby starts to fight the cybermen with his Defender in sword mode.

"Alright, be careful." Bradley said to his teammate running to AJ and Nick's side. "Hope you guys don't mind if I join the party?" Bradley ask the duo.

"It doesn't matter how many rangers you bring; I'm getting the time cube piece." Trill yelled as both his hands filled with electric energy.

"Seriously, how can you know get you are not getting into the house. Besides we just waxed the floors and you'll track in mud." Bradley joked.

Trill not amused at Bradley's statement fired combined his hands producing a mega size electric beam at the three rangers. Bradley pulled AJ and Nick to the ground with him to avoid the attack. The rangers looked behind them to see a large gaping hole in the mansion where the door and windows use to be.

"Ok this is serious, another one of those blast can level the house with EJ inside. I'm going to keep him distracted while you guys break out the heavy artillery." Bradley said rising from the ground. "Hey Extreme Home Makeover let's go!" Bradley yelled charging at Trill.

Both Trill and Bradley traded a few punches and kicks, neither landing at hit to disable the other. Bradley summoned his Astro Axe hoping to land more critical hits, sparks rained on the ground with each swipe of the blade on Trills body. Bradley's suit smoked with each one of Trill's electric blasts.

"Let me tell you about myself ranger. Beside being a Royal Knight of the great Lord Gamma; I am an elementalist more of an electric manipulator to be exact. You see I can do something as simple as send a small shock to your system, paralyzing you." Trill said touching Bradley's chest. Bradley fell to the ground unable to move. "I can also change the electric magnetic field around you, allowing me to lift your body like this." Trill said lifting the ranger in the air.

"And of course you're familiar with my electric blast." Trill said lining up the ranger with one of the windows on the second floor. "Blue ranger middle pocket." Trill yelled firing a blast into Bradley's chest. The Blue ranger crashed through EJ's window landing on the floor near her bed. The impact combine with the attack demorph Bradley. He closed his eyes as his suit left his body.

"Who's next?" Trill ask looking at Nick and AJ.

Once they had disappeared in pursuit of Trill, Laine turned to face the Cybermen, "Now eat my fire!" She summoned her weapon, "Drive Geyser!' Laine opened fire as she rotated around on her heels, scattering the Cybermen.

Seeing that the Cybermen had retreated, Laine raced further up the driveway, skidding to a halt. She eyed Trill, "You may be an elementalist, but you forget something. Electricity and water don't mix well together." Having uttered the words, Laine aimed the Drive Geyser and began spraying water directly over Trill.

Nick Smith

Nick gets up off the floor after seeing Bradley get blasted into EJ's room. He clenches his fists and says 'Trill, you're going DOWN!'. He rushes Trill, dodging a few electric blasts, and then uppercuts Trill, launching him into the air. Nick then says 'GO AJ!'

Aaron James

AJ says 'Got it Nick. FIRING JETS!'. AJ flies up to Trill and says 'See ya next fall.', and slashes him back to the ground with his Claw Booster. AJ lands by Nick and says 'That's GOTTA hurt right?'

Robby turned around while he was fighting the rest of the cybermen to see Bradley get blasted. He runs towards the other and says I hope this works Mega Battle Armor and a suit forms around him. Robby know as skates on his feet and is going towards Trill ready for him to get out so he can attack him.

Trill staggers to his feet the combination of attacks began to take their toll on the Royal Knight, still Trill was determine to get his hand on the necklace. He began chuckling to himself as he stabled himself. "You know for replacements you guys are pretty good, of course if you were as skilled as your predecessors I would have been defeated the first time you met me." Trill electrified his hands ready for the Quantum ranger's attack. "If you're going to bring it, it better be all that you got. Because I'm going full power." Trill yelled, his hands burst with electric energy.

Robby says to Trill Don't worry I will bring. Robby takes the wings of his back and combines to make a sword. When Robby got close enough the Blade started to glow with energy. Robby says time for you to go fianl strike Robby takes the sword and strike Trill with all his energy after the strike Robby his know in front of the door.

Trill falls to the ground, the build up of electricity blows up around him inflicting more damage to the villain. The ground around him is burnt, white smoke lingers in the air from his body. Trill holds his left side with his right hand slowly rising to his feet. He coughs from the attack and the smoke, "I told you to bring it. As long as I can still breathe I won't stop, I can't stop."

The rangers gather around ready for their next move, when an energy wave knocks them down. Trill slightly turns his head to the right to see Zakksau walking up beside him twirling the Gorman's Spear. Zakksau stops at his fallen comrade, extending his free to him, "Let's go."

Trill pushes the hand away looking back to the rangers, who are now back on their feet. "No! I will not leave here until I'm either destroyed or have the necklace."

"It wasn't my suggestion, it was an order from Lord Gamma. While I would enjoy seeing you get put in your place, Lord Gamma thinks your talents could be best used somewhere else. Sparks may have located another time cube piece." Zakksau replied extending his hand once again. Trill reluctantly grabbed his hands; both creatures faded from the area leaving the damage Trill had caused behind.

AJ sees Zakksau arrive and says 'YOU! It's payback time for what happened in the Amazon. FIRING JETS!'. The force of AJ's Jets launches him forward, but Zakksau simply laughs and fades away with Trill. AJ skids to a halt and says 'DAMN IT! He got away AGAIN!'

Nick Smith

Nick walks up to AJ's side and says 'Take it easy AJ. I'm pretty sure he'll be back somewhere down the line.'. Nick turns to the others and says 'Someone go check on Mr Hartford. AJ, you and me are goin to check on Bradley and EJ. Come on.'

Flipping back onto her feet, Laine lowered the Drill Blaster to the ground when Trill vanished along with Zakksau, "I'll go check on him and Tideus." She powered down and ran into the mansion.

Robby powered down after Trill and Zakksau left the mason and Robby fell to one knee due to he was drained og energy from the strike. Slowly to get up he stood and says To Nick I coming with you with some weakness is his voice.

Nick and AJ make their way up to EJ's room. The find EJ covered in debris and Bradley unconscious on the floor. AJ kneels down to Bradley and checks him over while Nick removes the debris from EJ. AJ says 'He seems ok. A little banged up, but he'll be ok. How's........'. He sees Nick standing at EJ's side holding her hand. AJ says 'Is she....... Ok?'. Nick nods and says 'Yeah. I think she is.'

Entering the underground lab, Laine frowned as she saw no sign of Tideus. "That's weird. Wasn't he working on the Vortex Manipulator? Then where is he?" She eyed the machine with some trepidation, feeling as something had gone missing...

Then it hit her. Laine agilely climbed the pole, bolted into Andrew's office, "Tideus has somehow traveled through time!"

"Whoa. Are you sure about that?" Andrew ask moving from behind his desk. He sat at the edge of his desk leaning over the intercom, "Spencer please do a scan of the area for Tideus." Andrew said leaning back from the intercom. "While Spencer is working on that, tell me how you're holding up?" Andrew asked.

Laine was touched by his concern for her well-being as she walked over to sit on the edge of Andrew's desk, "I'm holding up pretty well. Once this is all over, I intend to take a month-long vacation."

Andrew chuckled at Laine's remark, "Vacation I wish I knew that that was. You'll soon fine in this line of work vacations are the times in between monster attacks." Spencer entered into the room panting, "Sir initial scans showed no sign of the Tideus, I expanded the parameters to global settings and still nothing." Spencer reported.

Andrew looked at Laine her thoughts of time travel time seemed more plausible now. "Gather everyone to the lab." Andrew ordered. Spencer nodded exiting the room and joining AJ and Nick in EJ's room. "Ugh this room is in great need of cleaning." Spencer said looking at the glass all over the floor. "Mr. Hartford would like you to meet Laine and him down in the lab. I will take care of EJ and Bradley." Spencer said.

Andrew entered into the lab with Laine trailing behind him. "Laine would please go to the console near the door, if Tideus went through time then the vortex manipulator would have a reading on his position. I'm going to look at the lab tapes to see what may have triggered Tideus unwanted travel plans." Andrew said.

As Robby entered the romm were EJ and Bradley were in time to hear Spencer say Mr. Hartford would like you to meet Laine and him down in the lab. Robby looked at Nick and AJ and says this day just keeps getting better and better or EJ and Bradley ok?

"On it." Laine stopped near the door. She crouched in front of the vortex manipulator and began examining it closely, finding a set of coordinates that may indicate where Tideus was currently at. As she jotted the coordinates on a notepad, Laine wondered where the Aquitian could been.

Rising to her feet, Laine joined Andrew, "Wrote them down."

"Good once Bradley and the others arrive, he can program them into his ship's ops." andrew said.

Spencer watched the trio of guys exit the room. He walked over to Bradley, his feet crunched on the broken glass. He reached into his pocket pulling out some smelling salt. "never know when this comes in handy." Spencer laughed waving the salts under the blue ranger's nose.

Bradley coughs at the smell and makes a face. "ugh you know it's bad when you can taste the smell"

"No time for that, Trill has been defeated and you are needed in the lab. I will take care of EJ"

Bradley knodded his head while brushing off the glass and derby. He followed behind the other rangers entering into the lab.

AJ walks to Nick's side and places a hand on his shoulder and says 'Come on man. She'll be ok. Spence said he'll look after her AND Bradley. Ok?'. Nick looks at AJ and nods and says 'Yeah, ok. Lets go.'. Nick looks at EJ and says 'Stay safe EJ.'. Spencer stops AJ and says 'Did you call me Spence?'. AJ smiles and says 'Yep, i thought you could use a cool nickname.'. AJ leaves to go see Mr Hartford and Nick walks past Spencer and says 'Later Spence.'. Spencer says 'Oh dear, now HE'S calling me Spence too.'

"Good now that you are all here I can update you on our current situation." Mr. Hartford said motioning everyone to look at the viewing screen above him. He presses an illuminated blue button on the console. The screen displays an image of Tideus in the lab. "While the rest of you were fighting, Tideus was synching the bracelet to the diamond and both to his morpher. Something must of happen during the process because Tideus vanished." Mr. Hartford said, the image on the screen backed up his story.

"Do you have any idea where Tideus is?" Bradley asked.

"Initial global scans showed no sign of him on Earth. Lucky for all of us I have tune everyone's morpher into my tracking system. If a morpher is active I can locate it." Andrew answered.

"It? Not him?" Bradly asked.

"Well I'm not sure what happen during synching. It could be possible for Tideus and his morpher to be in two different locations."

Laine kept looking up at the viewing monitor, the paper with the numbers she wrote down still in her hands. "Looks like the only way to find Tideus is for us to split into two groups and search."

She shifted her gaze to Andrew, "I volunteer for the first group."

Andrew nodded his head, "The drive powers would best be use to locate Tideus. The other group should focus on locating the time cube piece headed by Bradley." Andrew said.

Bradley nodded his head accepting the role Mr. Hartford gave him. "What locations are we checking?" Bradley asked.

Mr.Hartford pointed at the paper in Laine's hand. "Laine has written down the coordinates from the bracelet. It will take to you the planet Cortex, where the Alien Power coin is also."

"And hopefully Tideus" Bradley said flicking his wrist, a wrist mount device materializes. "I'll summon the Delta ship, if anyone needs to go to restroom now would be the time." Bradley joked. He held the device to his chest, pressing a red button with his right index finger. Within a matter of seconds the sound of massive ship landing outside the mansion could be heard. Bradley turned to the others, "Shall we?"

Nick Smith

Nick frowns and says 'So err, before we DO anything..... Shouldn't we decide who goes on which team? It just seems to make sense to me.'

Robby just stood in the back watching. After he heard Nick say Robby walks up to the others and sasy Nick as a point. If we are going to sepearte but the one thick is were the bracelet something tells me there is going to be a cube piece and I'm going after it.

"Ok how about this? Laine, Nick you guys search for Tideus. The rest of us can go after the Time Cube piece." Bradley said.

"Rangers I don't mean to rush you but, time is of the essence. This can be decided once you begin orbit." Andrew said, he walked pass Laine grabbing the bracelet. "Robby why don't you take the bracelet for this mission." Andrew said handing off the bracelet to the Quantum ranger. "Good luck to you all." His voice trailed off as he exited the room.

"Seeing no objections to the teams can we go now?" Bradley asked directing his question to Nick.

Nick nods and says 'Sure. That's fine by me. Is that ok with you Laine?'

Aaron James

AJ nods and says 'Ok, so lets get this show on the road. The sooner we get started, the sooner we get the Time Cube piece right?'

As Nick was in agrement Robby says to Bradley ok lets get in your ship and find the Time piece and Tideus.
