Story:
Years ago, five young warriors were given the power of the ancient Zeo Crystal, created by a long lost race of aliens. Led by the wise and powerful wizard known as Zordon, and with help from another warrior from the planet Triforia, the warriors were able to defeat the deadly Machine Empire, and return peace to Earth at least for a small time. That was when the powers of the Zeo crystal were put to rest until they were needed once more.
It is now the year 2008, and remnants of the Machine Empire have gathered to take over Earth once more, except this time, they have a trick up their sleeves. They have developed new technology that allows them to convert any human into an evil cyborg and transfer their robotic minds into the humans, and they’ve decided to test it out on one of their old enemies, Tommy Oliver. Using this technology, they fuse Tommy’s mind with that of the remnants of King Mondo’s, creating the new King Gearon.
From the sidelines, Billy has stood back and watched as all this unfolds, realizing that the time has come to return to action, reclaim the powers of the Zeo crystal, and once again aid the rangers in fighting the Machine Empire. With the help of Alpha Five and Cestria, his wife, he returns to find his new team in the little city of Canyon Ridge. But is it too late to stop the conversion?
