Story Plot:

Set in: Angel Grove, 2019 (but we will be traveling through different times of the rangers at random.)

Whispered throughout the galaxy by many beings was the one who’d conquered ten planets sucking them dry then destroying it once it was useless. Fear would come to those planets so much precaution was taken. But not by Earth no that planet felt that with it’s multi colored guardians there was no chance that they’d ever have to deal with such a threat. Every year some kind of evil tried to conquer but thanks to these heroes of their own race no such goal had been accomplished. First was Rita Repulsa, then the fierce-some Lord Zedd and so forth but none had been able to take it. That little piece laid ripe for the picking.

So it was no wonder that the alien Gyronic set his sight on it after conquering the planet Henia. He saw it as a challenge and possibly the most valuable planet he’d ever thought to purloin. Not one to escalate an attack without preparations he set to work. Gathering his army and setting preparations into play he worked towards building a force capable of seizing the planet. As he researched the planet it seemed to be fairly easy to take he was sure. Until… he found one snag in his plan. It was sure to happen he knew it to be so this miserable place couldn’t just continue existing without a overlord without having some form of protection. They came in a variety of colors varying in skills from before they took up their duties to after. Bestowed with special powers that matched their heart, strength, courage, and wisdom they were an unstoppable shield. Their team work left them unbeatable he surely needed to do something about this.

Meanwhile in the dungeons one lone alien heard his plans. She was the last survivor (besides the treacherous Kowna) of the Planet Henia, the eldest princess, a fair women with much wisdom and heart. Her name was Macina. Hearing his plans to take Earth she feared for this planet for. She could not have it also pillaged and destroyed like her own. Grim and determined she managed to escape to Earth’s service. Gyronic found out though and sent a bios to retrieve her, when all hope seems dim she is rescued by the Red SPD Ranger Charlie she is inspired by what that one ranger did to his footsolidiers and decides then and there she shall make her own team to battle Gyronic. Charlie then took her to see Anubis Cruger to get help. When she explained things to him he seemed to understand and trust her because he gave her a privilege not many had. Access to the Ranger Archives. She spent a year researching things till she feels ready to create a team.

Macina and Adrian along with some help from the newly forming SPD reconstructed the old Command Center underground for the team and begun setting to work. Channeling in the morphing grid it was not easy and she found she was only able to create one morpher. In a drastic move she and her human contact Adrian they chose to have the best rangers from each generation to take back the power and become the team to battle the space tyrant.

Unfortunately a wormhole had been opened in time and the said rangers from all generations have been captured by Gyronic. Now there is no one left to bring up a new force of rangers. But then hope comes in the unexpected form of children. Yes the children of the rangers they were the ones who could do it. They were after all from the generations of a legacy. Surely they could handle the raw power that came with their parents ranger powers. A decision was made and Macina and Adrian work through the morphing grid to find the best candidates to take their parents legacy. But they needed to work fast the longer the young rangers candidates remained in their time stream the more likely they’d disappear with everything else.

Thus children of the Power Rangers are brought to 2019 to protect the world. All in there teens but from different places in time. They must fight for their parents, or parent’s, freedom. While at the same time keeping their true identities a secret. But first they must retrieve their powers by going to a time period just after their parents had stepped down from their roles. If they don’t save their parents, and fix things many of them could cease to exist.

They are the Generation Rangers!

Trysi and Juq

Orbiting Earth – Gyronic’s Ship – Cell Bay - 2019

The yells and struggling could be heard as Trysi the robotic humanoid looked up from his paper work. Glancing over his desk he say Kowna walking in huffily behind him were three humans who didn't look at all happy with their predicament. Eh what did he care it meant nothing to him if they lived or died. He still couldn't see his master's reasoning with this. Other then the fact they were former guardians of Earth they didn't seem that special. He glanced at the two older ones who struggled to reach for each other. He noticed gold binds on them which were only used for special humans.

"Just who exactly did you bring in today Kowna?" He asked gruffily flipping through the book for the checklist. It wasn't his job to keep track of who was who only to put them in their proper place. He had to admit this was a step up from Jail Duty. He didn't have to smell rotting corpses anymore.

A stern looking humanoid with dark eyes, shoulder length black hair, and the palest skin which was common in his species glared at him. "These happen to be former Mystic Force guardians. Their magicians, practitioners of magic, and know many different things you couldn't even begin to get into your tiny brain."

Trysi blinked. 'Oh so those are them. I was wondering where red and blue one were.' They already had yellow, pink, and green. "Alright then..." he sighed. "Let's get this over with..." he glanced up at the humans knowing for a fact that Kowna didn't bother to get their alias'. "Name?"

The male with green eyes glared spitting at the floor before he shook his head stubbornly.

Trysi rubbed his temples 'Humans stubborn as ever.' Pressing the orange button he waited for his partner to show up. 'I don't see why he wasn't here earlier.'

A barelling humaniod completely decked out in armor with his blast shield down walked up to them. Only eyeing the guardians for a moment. "What is it? I was having trouble with that pink galaxy chick again."

"He won't give his name and I need it Juq." Trysi said pointing to the man in red.

Juq smirked and backed up before punching him in the gut making the boy keel over. The girl in blue gasped struggling to get to his side. Right then Trysi noticed the connection. "Ah so your his mate huh?" he eyed the raven hair female with mild contempt. "Perhaps you will give me your names."

Her eyes widened but she glared shaking her head. "Never."

"Suit yourself we could beat it out of your mate over there." Motioning to the panting young man.

The female looked back and forth in conflict before she sighed and nodded. "He's Nick Russell otherwise Bowen... and I'm..." she shivered not wanting to force out the words. "Madison Russell once known as Rocca."

"That wasn't so hard." Trysi sighed with relief checking of their names. He motioned for Juq to take them away. Glancing up he noticed Gyronic's General still standing that. "You may go now."

Kowna gave a curt nod before walking off.

Phesila
Planet Jumi – Local Bar – Earth Years: 2019

Sipping long and hard from a drink an attractive young women with nutmeg hair and piercing brown eyes glanced across the table at the hairy orange beast that shuffled. She smirked slightly whipping her hair out as she huffed. “Oh come on Yuri don’t tell me you’re backing out now. Not while I have this for you…” She tossed a full bag of credits on the table making the alien’s eyes widen. She was satisfied with the affect. “Now that I got your attention where can I find this human?” she placed a picture of an older man with spikey black hair and a look of determination. “The timestream is giving my Boss way to much trouble looking for him. I need to know now.”

Yuri cleared his throat. “Well… uhm you see uhm if you really want to know uhm I’ve been uhm keeping track of the enemies through the timeline wh-when they are active and n-n-not.” He shook slightly glancing back and forth as he spoke.

“Yeah yeah I’ve heard it all before….” She said with a shrug. “No fear they ain’t gonna get you now hon’ those Time Force Rangers are permanently…” she chuckled at her last words. “Out of business.” Of course they were she’d sent them to Gyronic in stasis cuffs there was no way they’d be back in action. Still she supposed she could understand the alien Yuri’s panic they’d lost to many Time Hackers to those rangers. ‘Nothing to worry about now…’ She had every ranger in her Boss’s cells well almost everyone that one ranger was giving her way too much trouble.

He sighed breaking up her thoughts. “Alright Phesila…” he passed her a data pad. “This is the coordinates for when the human gave up his powers and bits of information on his past. Should get you somewhere…” Without another word he swiped the bag of chips and stumbled out of the booth sprinting away.

Phesila shrugged. He’d never learn the threat had been neutralized all but one. She still didn’t completely get her boss’s ideals in all this there were others that defended Earth then again since 1993 of Earth they’d been the longest standing organization there was. ‘And still would be growing if Gyronic hadn’t sent me and the others to fix that.’ Gulping down the last of her beverage she strode out of the bar joining a group of twenty strange black creatures with red claws bios another one of Trysi’s strange creations.

“So did you find it?” A voice spoke curtly she turned to see a brown clad older man geared to the brim with weapons.

Slowly she transformed into her true form of a silver skinned red eyed being with snake like hair flexing her clawed hands she smirked at her co-worker. “Oh yeah I did. Let’s prepare to pay a visit to Tommy Oliver.” He nodded pulling out a clear box it begun to glow and a key pad materlized she begun typing on the keys.

“What time are you setting it for 1997?” He asked curiously.

“Oh no we’re going to his most recent power date 2004.” He gaped at her. It seemed he was expecting red to be his last date. “They don’t call him the Rainbow Ranger for nothing.” Without another word light engulfed the two and they disappeared from the planet’s surface. Flowing right into the timestream towards their prize.

Gyronic and Kowna
Orbiting Earth - Gyronic’s Ship – Throne Room - 2019

Kowna walked briskly towards the steel door that separated him from his leader. He could almost feel the raw impatience radiating from his master. Obviously something had him unhappy or he wouldn't feel their telepathic connection so strongly. Pushing the doors open he noticed the chair that was usually facing him was turned around and images played around in the air orbiting as a gloved hair reached up to touch each screen and the picture zoomed in and out or faded.

Completely as if sensing him the pictures abruptly collapsed and the chair turned around slowly to show the being with piercing eyes garmented richly in fine blood red clothes that almost looked like they were stained on. He shifted his gaze to Kowna and smiled maliciously for a moment. "Ah Kowna" spoke a voice that aired with refinement and blackness. "Your here I was beginning to wonder if you got my message.

Quickly Kowna bowed low before his ruler letting his head touch the ground before he looked up. "Gyronic my Master I have come to tell you another is captured. The one known as the Light is one of them."

"Have they captured the multi ranger yet?" Gyronic asked his eyes showing an eager greed in them. "He runs that Guardian program the Hexagon. I want him taken care of before he can meet my little run away." a picture of a women that looked somewhat like Kowna's species popped up in front of the two. "Speaking of which..." he caught the image in his grasp letting it twirl about as he gazed at it not looking at Kowna. "Have you found her yet?"

Words caught in his throat and Kowna's eyes widened with fear he didn't want to disappoint his Master but he knew he had. "She escaped our tracking yet again... I will send more bios out to get Macina."

A hiss broke out and the image was slammed on the floor shattering into bits and bites though it made a sound like breaking glass. "THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH! She's evaded us for far too long I want her out of the way before I do my full attack." Gyronic's eyes burned on his servant making him flinch backing off till he was scrunched up. Then they all but dimmed. "But from the way things have gone your doing well Kowna." He praised him lightly not wanting to loose his finest servant.

The alien gasped bowing low again. "Thank you my Master. Thank you."

"Quite groveling now where did you say she is currently hiding."

"My sources say she's taken residence where the Ranger Legacy was born in."

"Angel Grove." Gyronic stared out at the Big Blue Planet that still had escaped his grasp. But he would have it soon he was sure of it. It was only a matter of time. And Gyronic could be very patient when he needed to be.

Macina
Mountains Outside of Angel Grove – Power Center – Mission Control – 2019
Macina's purple eyes dimmed as she looked on at the readings. This couldn't be. No there was no chance of it. After all the work Adrian and she put into this plan this could not happen. Could it? But it was. The last rangers of Earth were slowly diminishing the morphing grid which kept track of each long after they gave up their powers was showing nothing. Not even a single guardian was left. They'd all been taken. Every last one. She sighed ruffling her platinum blond hair an Earth habit she picked up from Adrian. What could they do now.

She glanced up at her partner who seemed equally distraught. "There all gone every last candidate not even the weakest of them is left. Gyronic is smarter then I give him credit." Macina frowned as she stared at the rainbow that showed no more rangers as it was supposed. "I should have gotten them earlier when I first learned how to channel into the timestream using the morphing grid. But I didn't and now I'm paying for it." She said bitterly then her eyes dimmed with sadness and the pain the former princess carried since her planet was blown up.

"Who will come to the call? We need rangers Adrian and there are none left." She gazed at the purple morpher on her wrist. "I can't even create anymore of these to tap into the morphing grid’s core." She stared out at Earth knowing the threat that would soon come Gyronic would suck the planet dry of it's resources and make slaves of the survivors of his attacks. "What can we do?" She asked him staring forlornly at the emptiness.

Nicole Russell
Outside of Rootcore

Nicole Russell the vision of her mother and father hummed as she lay on her chest in a tree enjoying the sunshine as she dived deeper into the pages of her novel. It was one of those days she didn't feel like doing anything but reading. Her mind was practically spent on things to think about. The last Algebra test had left her dry. Now it was just her here near Rootcore in this tree enjoying the peace and quiet that came with Earth's music. She could feel the faint trickle of water, and hear the earth growing. These were normal sounds to her. Being one to have tapped into Earth, and Water magic it was a side affect she enjoyed. It left her in tune with things around her. Turning the page her brown eyes danced with excitement as the story begun getting more and more intense her eyes widened at the next part then she yelped falling off the tree and into the waiting arms of her Uncle Daggeron.

He laughed good naturally setting her down gently. "That must have been quite a page turner. Nica'" He said affectionately using the nickname he gave her. He crossed his arms over his chest with a more serious pose. "Aren't you supposed to be at the Gathering? All the Mystics are assembled except you." Of course he'd bring that up he was always one to not hesitate on details keeping things orderly was a big part of his life. Even if he was not the Solaris Knight and Mentor to the Power Ranger Team anymore. He still treated her and Skyler like they were rangers in training which she never got.

"But Uncle Daggeron." she pouted in a way that was below her but had been good in the past for getting her way. "I just want to finish this one page. Things are just about to get interesting. I haven't been able to read a good book in days and Jenji recommended it to me."

Shaking his head Daggeron muttered something under his breath. "Of course that cat would spoil her." He shook his head with a sigh. "Come now Nicole it's not so bad talk with people. You need to do it more. Your father keeps saying you’re not getting enough 'normal human' interaction."

"Since when are we normal?" She asked then sighed feeling that her words were out of context and noticing that she was a bit rude. "I'm sorry. I'll come inside." Placing the book in her knapsack nearby she followed Daggeron into Rootcore. Maybe it would be alright after all she hadn't seen the Mystic Rangers together for a long time what with Chip on his explorations and Uncle Xander and Aunt Vida busy with her little niece Alexandria. She hadn't seen any of them in days. 'I suppose the book can wait just this once.'

Adrian Bates
Mountains Outside of Angel Grove – Power Center – Mission Control – 2019

Running his hand through his dark brown hair trying to stay as calm as possible, Adrian kept his eyes on the screen infront of him. His partner, Macina, was worried because of the readings that were coming from the grid on the screen. He gulped slightly, and shifted his gaze to Macina. This was bad. No, not bad. This was catastrophic. After all the planning and work that they both had put into the plan, it had been taken away from them in an instant. How was this possible? Were the rangers on Earth really so defenseless against Gyronic and his forces? ''Damn it. Damn it all!'' He grumbled as he placed his head into his hands. No words could describe how angry he was at this very moment. His hazel eyes glared from one corner of the room, to the other.

''Listen, Macina. There has to be something we can do!'' His words were the truth, or so he had hoped. Was there any chance that they both could find a solution to this mess? Or would Gyronic get what he was after all this time? The Earth was just a simple toy to him. Another planet to capture and rule over for a short while before destroying it. ''This is my planet. My home. I will not stand by and just watch as darkness creeps over it!'' He turned to Macina. ''I'm going to finish the system I was working on. I can't just stand around and do nothing.'' Adrian stormed out of the room, biting his lower lip.

As he reached the end of the coridor, he stopped in his step. Macina had only wanted to save Earth, but right now she felt helpless. What good was storming off doing exactly? He turned around to face the way he had came. ''No use turning my back on this now. Not when we've come this far!'' He returned to the room where Macina was still standing frozen. ''Let's stay calm, and try to figure something out.'' He placed his hand on her shoulder and smiled.

Skyler Russell
Briarwood Forest

The sound of leaves crunching could be heard as Skyler walked through the empty, but extraordinary forest. Today was a good day for Skyler. Why? Well, he had the day off work and there was a reunion of sorts taking place. He wasn't very much of a get together person, but this was his family. So he'd make the effort for them. As he continued through the forest, the feeling of being watched was on his mind. He rolled his eyes, and looked around, obviously knowing that there was something, or someone following him. After a few more silent minutes of walking, he paused. ''You know...You're not really good at this anymore'' He spoke into the woods. A smile flashed upon his face as he used his left foot to flick up a rather thick stick of wood. In an instant, he spun around and lifted up the stick he had kicked up. The wood cracked against something solid. ''Gramps, I know it's you,'' He smirked.

''Well, would you look at that. You actually got me this time!'' A voice with no face replied. Skyler poked the air, seemingly poking something that was not there. ''You can show yourself now. There's no escaping my eyes'' He dropped the stick to the ground. ''Release'' the voice sighed. After a second, an older man was standing in front of Skyler with a smile on his face. ''Heya kiddo! It's nice to see you again.'' Leanbow spoke. Skyler nodded and moved in to hug his grandfather. ''Glad you could make it!'' he added as they moved apart. ''I wouldn't want to let my lil'sis down now, would I?'' Skyler shrugged. The conversation continued as the both of them started walking side by side, deeper into the forest.

''So gramps, when are you going to teach me that invisibility spell?'' Skyler wondered. Leanbow sighed deeply and shook his head in Skyler's direction. ''How many times have I told you to stop calling me gramps? It makes me sound old!'' He joked and softly tapped Skyler on the back. The next few minutes were quiet between them. Then, an all so famililar feeling passed through Skyler. They had just passed through the magical border, so they weren't far from Rootcore. Skyler had always enjoyed every second that he got to spend with Leanbow. He was full of knowledge, and even though Skyler was older now, Leanbow's stories still rocked! They were about another fives minutes away from Rootcore, and Skyler knew that once they got inside, he'd be hugged and kissed until he couldn't take it anymore. He sighed. 'Family...' It was the one thing he couldn't stay away from. He had always adored the company of his family, even if they did get to him sometimes.

Question
01-26-2010, 03:31 AM
Mai Trueheart Oliver
Native American Reservation, Just Outside Angel Grove

"Hey, Uncle David."

David Trueheart was forced to move slightly to the side as his niece, Mai, walked into the hut. David's trained eye was able to instantly pick out a number of oddities with his niece - she was tense, her attention was scattered and unfocused, and her movements lacked their usual unthinking grace. Everything pointed to Mai having just been in some sort of conflict.

She didn't seem out of breath, though, and David's practiced eye couldn't identify any other signs of physical confrontation on her.

This all passed through David's mind in a fraction of a second.

"Fox, what's wrong?" Fox, short for 'Flower Plucking Fox', was Mai's Indian name, and David tended to use the shortened version as a term of endearment for his niece.

Mai slumped onto David's favorite bear-skin rug, her favorite seat to meditate when she was on the reservation. "Dad and I had a fight." A moment of silence passed before Mai cocked her head, staring suspiciously at her uncle. "Did you know Dad was a Power Ranger?"

"Several, as I recall," David replied without thinking, mentally wincing at the error. Mai was likely to transfer her anger from her father to David himself if she thought he was keeping secrets from her. "I'd have told you, but... well, I felt it was your father's place more than it was mine."

David's words didn't seem to mollify Mai in the slightest. "He wants me to be a Power Ranger too. A leader, like him."

David waited for Mai to continue, but she didn't seem interested. "And...?" he prodded.

"That's the thing!" Mai threw up her hands in exasperation and fell back onto the rug. "I don't want to be a Power Ranger, much less leader of an intergalactic army of them!"

David chuckled softly, earning another glare from his niece. "Sorry. But honestly, I should have seen this coming."

Mai sat back up, sitting herself in the lotus position with her legs crossed and her hands on her knees. "That dad's a stubborn jerk with delusions of grandeur?"

"There's that, although I probably would not have chosen those specific words. And there's you, shirking responsibility every chance you get, refusing to live up to-"

"-live up to my potential," Mai finished for David. "As if that's not something I've been hearing my entire life."

"And isn't that the point?" David asked. He finally took a seat next to Mai, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "You have so much potential that your father thinks you're worthy of being in charge of defending the universe!"

"I would think the universe would prefer having someone in charge of defending it that wants to be in charge of defending it," Mai grumbled.

"Why wouldn't you want to be?" David inquired, genuinely curious. "Even if you're not the big leader your dad was back in the day?"

"Too much responsibility," Mai replied after a moment of thought. "Dad, and I guess Mom, can handle a lot more stress than I can. I don't want to be constantly worrying about fighting, and being the world's only hope, or anything like that. It's not me. I just want to, you know, go with the flow."

"As I understand it, not every Power Ranger ever was prepared for the responsibility before they actually got the Power. Maybe theres's something in you that-"

"Okay, you're not even listening," Mai interrupted, rolling back onto her shoulders and lifting her feet into the air. "I never said I couldn't be a Power Ranger. I bet I could be. Mom and Dad were, and they've taught me everything I know. I just don't want to be. Lots of aptitude, zero desire."

"And you told your dad this, calmly and and rationally and possibly over a mug of coffee?"

Mai's silence was all the answer David needed for that question.

"You yelled at him."

"He started it!" Mai protested.

"Mai, you're a black belt. What's that rule about force I know your father drilled into you over and over?"

Mai mumbled an answer, prompting David to give her his own glare. She sighed. "Always respond to force with as equal force as possible. Never escalate, because then your opponent can do the same."

"And?"

"And... I should have kept my cool and possibly not run away without telling Mom or Dad. I guess I should go home, apologize or whatever."

"Well. You are legally an adult," David replied, grinning. "No reason you can't spend a week or so with your cool and, if I do say so myself, handsome uncle."

Mai giggled softly as she fell back onto the bearskin rug. "I suppose."

Doctor Tommy Oliver
Reefside - Oliver Residence

"Tea?"

Tommy looked up from... well, nothing in particular. In theory, he'd been grading some tests for his Paleontology elective class. In practice, he'd been staring into space, fist clenched so tight that his knuckles were whiter than his old uniform. "Huh?"

Katherine Oliver, nee Hillard, placed a mug of steaming green tea on the table near Tommy's clenched hand. "Have some tea, calm your nerves."

Tommy smiled at his wife, although it seemed a bit forced to her. "Thanks, Kat." He picked up the cup, but instead of taking a sip, he simply held it while resuming his stare into space.

Seconds of this was too much even for the eternally patient Kat. "Want to talk?"

Tommy blinked, having not realized Kat was still there. "Hm? Talk about what?"

"I think you know what."

Tommy hid his grimace with a sip of tea. He hated it when Kat did that; it usually meant an argument was coming. "Mai."

Kat sat in the chair next to Tommy's, taking a sip of her own tea. "You were pretty hard on her."

"I prefer to think of myself as trying to get her to realize her potential. Mai's as gifted a girl as any I've ever met. She needs to realize that..." Tommy's voice drifted off as he tried to verbalize his very conflicted feelings toward his daughter.

"I'm not even going to bring up how very telling it is that you want an heir to your place in the Hexagon," Kat said, her voice far more gentle than her words. "But the point is, you can't force Mai into a place she doesn't want to go, especially now that she's legally an adult."

"She has so much potential!" Tommy argued, setting his tea down for fear of spilling it with his sudden agitation. "She earned her black belt even faster than I did, and even if her grades don't show it, she was one of the smartest kids in her class. If she only applied herself a little more..."

"And I agree," Kat said, to the surprise of her husband. "If she applied herself, she could be one of the great ones, just like her father."

"And mother," Tommy added with a small smile, putting his hand over Kat's.

Kat returned his smile. "But, you have to remember, Zordon never forced any of us into being Power Rangers. If any of us had wanted to leave, he would have asked us why, but in the end, he would have let us go. He let Jason and the rest of his first team leave."

Tommy remained silent a moment, taking that in. He had never even thought of leaving the Power Rangers until Dimitria had all but forced four of the five Turbo Rangers out, including himself and Kat. "The universe needs defending, Kat."

"The universe would be far better off with defenders who want to be there, as opposed to ones who would only be doing it because their parents forced them into it," Kat countered. "You're absolutely right, Mai has unlimited potential to do whatever she chooses. So, shouldn't we let her choose?"

Tommy didn't answer, letting Kat's words sink in. He knew she was right, that Mai should be allowed to do what she wanted, but he couldn't help but feel that the universe would be in safe hands if she were one of its guardians.

"Thanks for the tea, Kat. I'll be downstairs," Tommy said, his tone telling Kat that he'd think about her words. Tommy entered the secret passage, and Kat knew that he'd probably be staring into space in Dino Ops, considering everything before comign to a final decision.

Kat smiled to herself. Her husband and her daughter were often equally alike and different. They both had a love of martial arts, and Mai had absolutely loved her time racing cars with Tommy's uncle John Rush. Every week, Tommy and Mai made a habit of watching the new episodes of House and Heroes together. But where Tommy was a methodical planner, always coming up with contingency after contingency for whatever he was planning to do, Mai preferred remaining in the moment, acting by instinct.

It was very likely why this latest fight had been so big. Tommy was planning for the day he'd no long be able to lead the Hexagon, even if he hadn't said as much, and Mai was still young enough that she wanted to keep her options open.

Kat wasn't worried about Mai running off. She knew that Mai would very likely end up at the reservation in Angel Grove, safe with Tommy's brother David Trueheart. He'd talk some sense into her, as she'd talked some sense into Tommy.

Things would get better soon.

Rylan Anthony Hart

Rylan looked over his bed, or well what was left of a bed...it was covered in comic books and some note pads. Hell he was pretty sure there were a couple of pizza boxes some where. "Great...mom's going to kill me. She is such a neat freak" He said to himself as he rolled his eyes and swept the stuff of his bed and found a hidden Ho-Ho. "Ohh...breakfast of champions" He said as he undid the wrapper and took a bite. He then proceeded into kind of cleaning up his room. And by cleaning up he just threw his comic books in one corner and his cloths in another and kind of sorta making his bed. "There...." He said with a mouth full "Looks like a million bucks" Rylan then made his way to the down stairs where he saw a note from his mom saying she was already at the school and that they had ego waffles in the freezer for him to eat.

Rylan then sat down on the couch "Well...today is Saturday and I have some time to myself" He said as he started pushing the couch and other things around the house to make room for him to practice his martial arts he thought about going outside but he felt like staying indoors for today. He then proceeded in practicing his forms and even pulled off a spinning round house kick, but as he landed on the floor his pant leg got caught under his foot and he slipped and fell towards the entertainment center. He tried to stop himself but it was no use he crashed into the side of it and knocked over a vase and a couple of picture frames. "Crap..." He said as he gathered himself up and looked at the damage he caused, but then something caught his eye. It was a picture that fell from the vase. "What the heck is this..." He said bending down and picking it up. It was his mom and uncle Jase plus a couple of other people he recognized but hardly heard from. His eyes then fell on the person in green...he studied him for a little while and cocked his head to the side. It didn't even dawn on him about the outfits they were wearing. Finally like a light bulb it clicked. "Holy crap..." He said as he dropped the picture and it fluttered to the floor. "Mom was a power ranger..." He said picking up the photo again and studying it some more.

Rylan quickly dove for the phone and dialed his mom’s school "Hello mom....ohh sorry Betty...I'm just looking for my mom, oh she is in meetings all day? Well can you have her call me as soon as possible...Thanks!"

He then got up and started pacing "Oh man...why didn't she tell me earlier...didn't she think I could handle it..." He said as he was working himself up over nothing he had control over. Then all of a sudden something popped in his head his uncle Jase always said. "Okay...just take a deep breathe....it will all be explained I just have to be patient" He then sat on the floor and placed the photo in front of him and closed his eyes and took several deep breaths. He finally started to calm down; once calm enough to form a rational thought he got up and made his way to the computer and opened up the google search engine and types in Power Rangers. "Woah..." Was all he could sputter out as he read about the earlier days in Agngel Grove with monster attacks and crazy clay looking things. "I think I need another ho-ho"

Malachi Grover
Outskirts of Corinth City - 2040

"This is dry man"
"Yeah, I know"
"No, I mean. We're in a desert...Get it?"

Malachi raised an eyebrow at one of his fellow soldiers. He'd heard rumours about soldiers having terrible humour before enrolling, but he never imagined that it would be this bad. He ignored David, the estranged follower of his and continued to trudge through the wastelands as part of his daily scout orders from Colonel Truman. The guy was paranoid as hell, Malachi thought. Daily inspections on a dead part of land when there was so much vegetation on the opposing side of Corinth to protect from potential threats. His boots stepped down on several thick, sticky parts of the sand before taking several quick-steps backwards, causing him to bump into David, who was trying to stare into the sun for more than 5 seconds through his spectacles. "Uhmph!" Malachi quickly refound his footing, and without speaking, guided the older soldier around the sinkhole that was forming in front of them. After passing to a safer part of the desert, he poked a small red flag next to the area and continued to walk.

"I can't wait to get back and have a beer" he groaned as Corinth finally came into sight ahead. Malachi never tired of the sleek metallic look of the walls and the forcefield that reached up high into the skyline. It made him think of its air-conditioned rooms and shade. This, in turn made him feel even hotter and dryer.

"So I hear you're going to visit the 'rents sometime this week?" David asked. Obviously trying to fill some sort of awkward silence that he felt. Malachi, personally, was fine with silence.

"Yeah. My dad's freaking out...Saying that he doesn't want me to turn into a Truman"

David laughed, in agreement with Ziggy's comments on the Truman's. "They are a tough bunch of stick's in the sand"

"In the sand?"
"Yeah, sand...'Cause we're in a desert?"

Malachi shook his head as they reached the gateway. He flashed his entry pass and re-entered the city...Quickly spotting his destination. Hal's bar. Corinth's second best bar - of course there were only two bars in Corinth, but still.

After entering the bar, he threw his helmet onto a nearby table. Nearly missing several empty glasses and annoyed drunks. He ordered a large pint of water, a scotch and a budweiser before carrying his single-man round to the table and filling up on the beer. The water could most definitely be useful...Later. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the feeling of the smoky, air conditioned bar. Of course, Colonel Truman would be pissed that he didn't report straight back to him. But he figured, weasel his way out of that trouble when it came along. This week was going to be a good week, he could feel it.

Pink Overdrive Ranger - Vanessa 'Vanny' Lo
AngelGrove

Vanny woke up to the sound of a small explosion; she ran down the stairs and saw her mother covered in brown dirt. “What happened?” Vanny asked. Rose gave a small smile, “Well I was trying out a new experiment to use in one of my classes.” Vanny just looked at her and blinked and just then her father came in adjusting his. “Wo! Let me guess, new experiment?” Rose shrugged guilty. Vanny went back upstairs as her mother cleaned up the kitchen. She climbed into the shower and then brushed her hair back into a ponytail. She then put on a white polo shirt with a pink tank underneath and some tight jeans. She grabbed her apron and no sooner made her way over to the Juice Bar for work.

She smiled as she at her boss Ernie Jr. as she walked in. “You’re early,” he said to her. “Yea I know, I woke up a little earlier than expected.” She tied her apron around her waist and got to work. She started making shakes, juices, and everything else on the menu. She no sooner started to clean off tables as the lunch rush came in and her friend Maya also came in afterwards. “Hey Vanny,” she said. “Looks like I made great timing.” Vanny nodded, “Yea lunch rushes are never fun.”

Maya then looked at the menu. “I’ll have a protein shake. I goatta stay on top because we have a competition this week.” “Really? Well good luck to you guys.” Maya smiled back as she took out some money to pay. “So what are your plans today V?” “Well, I get off work at six and then I have a night class.” Maya frowned. “You promised we would go to the movies.” “What? I did?” “Yes, I think your working yourself to hard Vanny, take it easy. You have a lot of time to complete school.” “I know, I just want to get it all done fast.” Maya took a sip of her shake. “Well okay, just take it easy.” “Yes I know.” Vanny knew why Maya was worrying so much, and it was because she didn’t want her to get sick. The two girls talked a little bit longer and then Maya had to get back to training. Vanny waved by and assumed her cleaning.

Lena Ford - Matthews
New York City - NYU - 2024

The echo of laughter pounded down the hallways of Lena's dorm, most likely waking up every student relatively early for class. Students threw their doors open, demanding to know what the heck was going on, only to see the last seconds of teenage girls piling into a single room. They each took a fumbled seat on the floor, rolling around with laughter. "I haven't been covered in this much paint in...well...ever!" Lena approached her fatal paintball evidence with a whimsical sense. If she was back at home Kira would have demanded those few items of clothing to be burned, whilst Jack would laugh it off, take a picture and tag her in it on facebook. Moving her now red splattered hair from her face, Lena took a hand full of make-up remover wipes and started to rub at the paint, but failing miserably " Let's just pray the shower will somehow save me from using paint stripper" Lena glared over to her roomate Claire through the mirror, shaking her head as she remembered the previous nights activities. After a serious study session and a last minute shift, Lena had become drained and in need of a wild night out on the town with her friends. They all started off with a cinema trip to see the latest horror movie, followed by a mischievous dare of paint balling in the park. Her next plan was to fall asleep, whilst her friends had other ideas of carrying on the party in the halls "I'll pass thanks, think I'm going to take a shower and meet you all later...I'm not feeling so great right now either" Lena knew her friends would get the message, which they did when they rolled their eyes and filed out of the room in a scurry.

Stumbling into the bathroom and having to catch herself on the towel rail, Lena inhaled deeply to try and gain the much needed energy to reach her toiletry case. She fumbled for the key in the top drawer, taking it out and shoving it into the lock, twisting frantically. Once flipping the lid open, almost tipping the case over completely in her haste, Lena searched through the contents, shifting aside make-up samples and medicines until she took hold of the one thing she utterly needed. Her durable insulin pen. Lena had been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes only a matter of months ago, upon arrival at NYU. No one knew about her condition apart from her Doctor, Lena prefers to keep it to herself and wants everyone to act normal around her at all times. Lena had never been a fan of injections, fearing them more than the usual snakes and spiders, so you can only imagine how much time it took her to feel slightly comfortable with administrating the insulin herself. Lena took a deep breath " Just a little scratch" Lifting her shirt, Lena positioned the pen on her abdomen, before closing her eyes tight and injecting herself. Waiting around six seconds, Lena slowly brought the needle out and breathed a sigh of relief. Lena remained sat on the floor for around ten minutes before gazing over towards the shower, grinding her back teeth in finding the motivation to move "Urgghh!" Shifting around so she was now knelt on her knees, Lena grabbed onto the side of the bath tub and pulled herself up, then turned on the shower. Once undressing Lena climbed into the tub, pulling on the shower curtain and wrapping it around the tub. Lena knelt down slowly into the bathtub, the water pouring down on her from the shower head. She allowed the water to run across her skin, shielding her vision from everything else, if she had lost her hearing then maybe Lena would succumb to sleep right there.

The bathroom door slowly swung open on its hinges followed by a thick wall of steam escaping from the room. Lena headed over to her closet to collect her already chosen outfit, something she did on a daily basis to save as much time as possible in the mornings. She lay her outfit on top of her bed then proceeded to dry her hair with a hot air styler and then apply her make-up. Now she had a few minutes to kill Lena thought this would be the perfect opportunity to catch up with her mother so she took the phone out of it's holster and dialed the home phone number. Placing the handset to her ear, Lena listened to the few rings, followed by an answer phone message "Hey Mom it's Lena, I was actually thinking of swinging by during my next vacation time...I don't know if you have plans already but...yeah just give me a call when you see the red light flashing at you, bye" She hung the phone up and tossed it on the side, kicking herself for agreeing to spend time with her mother where she would have to face telling her, her secret. Chewing on the inside of her mouth to keep herself from over thinking every little thing to say, Lena finally decided to change out of her bathrobe and into her desired outfit (http://hilary-pics.com/albums/photoshoots/2009/shoot05%20HQ/normal_003.jpg). Now that she was ready for the day Lena took her toiletry bag from the bathroom and slipped it inside her handbag just incase and then headed downstairs to start off her day.

Angel Grove – 2018 (One Year Prior to the Main Story)
Matias Scott

She just couldn’t muster up the determination to kiss the handsome young man before her, who stood there with a rather annoyed countenance. Wiping away his long, black bangs, the man left out a slight sigh, nearly setting the redhead upon him with murderous intent. She just could not kiss him, and that was a problem, as this was her job.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Lichtman, I really am,” the redheaded actress nearly cried out, holding back a building scream. “But this….this punk, he just –can’t- be my Romeo. He may be the best actor in the damned whole state, but I just can’t see past this brat’s devil horns!”

“It’s just a kiss,” Matias interrupted her, clearly bored by the situation. “Just close your eyes, and put your lips together…you should be used to that.”

That was it – the actress stormed off of the stage, screaming to the top of her lungs, her hands frantically reaching up to grab her ears; she’d heard enough, for a lifetime. Once again, Matias Scott sighed, this time with a twinge of guilt. Normally, while he could be a bit snide, he never went –that- low. This particular month had, for whatever reason, rubbed him the wrong way….more than the usual wrong way that he was used to, at least. The Angel Grove State Theatre was putting on a production of Romeo and Juliet, and he, placed into one of the titular roles, was cast opposite an extremely out going, happy go lucky local actress. The fairly reclusive Scott just couldn’t take the nonsensical, idle chatter any longer, and, as of last week, snapped.

Mati turned over, slowly, to look toward his director, a Mr. Robert Lichtman. Placing a hand to his right temple, the actor took a few deep breaths, before speaking out, trying to come off as apologetic as possible.

“I’m really sorry, Sir; things have just been stressful, as of late. I’ll be sure to apologize when she…erm, stops screaming,” he finished, his voice getting weak, as he realized that just across the wall the woman was still shouting.

“You better! I can’t afford to lose another actress, because of your antics! You’re lucky that you still sell tickets, or you wouldn’t be able to get a good role in this half of the country!”

Just nodding and agreeing to his boss, Mati Scott began to walk off stage – in the opposite direction the redhead had left, heading instead toward the outside. He needed a breath of fresh air, grabbing a cold bottle of Gatorade as he did. Popping the lip open, he took a deep gulp, sighing once more after he did – he was tempted to transmute a few objects around him into whatever came to mind, just to relieve some stress.

“Dad, here did I go wrong? What didn’t I listen to, back when you tried to teach me right?” Mati took another sip, and briefly shook, no one there to see him, thankfully. “Mama…I wish you were here; I just need someone to talk to, someone that can understand me…”

At that thought, he heard the redhead’s cries grow louder, and he truly hated himself.

Clint Hartford

A tall average-build figure laboured across the field, dribbling the football effectively at close range in front of him. His gray eyes searched the field all around him, watching out for oncoming defenders as well as fellow teammates he could pass the ball to. The cold morning air bit against his skin. It also ensured he didn't sweat as much as he normally would, but his breath still came in short bursts. Panting was quite the norm when you'd been on the pitch for a full 80 minutes, stopping only for water at half time. The score was tied at 1-1 and the unusual early morning fixture was packed with good chances for both teams.

As Clint Hartford raced forward on the left side of the field, almost parallel to an opponent marking him, he spotted a striker free on the edge of the penalty box, but with no space behind him due to a tall, lanky defender standing guard behind him. Yet Clint threaded a pass forward to him, almost immediately following it up with a diagonal run to his right. TJ, the striker, fortunately spotted Clint's run and knocked the ball subtly in his path, completing a perfect layoff. Clint charged and put his foot through the ball. It would've been a thunderous goal, save for the keeper's one-handed save and the ball thudding against the goal post before rolling off for the corner.

Clint trotted forward to take the corner kick. Placing it where he wanted it on the quarter at the edge of the line, he looked up and spotted one of his team's defenders, Stuart, ready to make the run in the box. He then teed off a decent cross, which met Stuart's head and ended up in the back of the net. Celebrations and a few minutes later, the sound of the final whistle loomed nearer. Clint received the ball and proceeded to make another dangerous run into the box, looking set to score. This time though, he was met by a fearsome tackle by a very frustrated opposing defender. Clint fell head-first on the ground and lay there for a while, unable to move. When he did manage to pull his body into motion, he found himself catering to an egg sized bump on his head resulting from the fall. The tackler was standing a few feet away from him, protesting to the referee over the yellow card he'd received and the consequent penalty decision; and Clint's blood boiled at the sight. The very nerve of the defender not to accept his mistake wound him up, and he pushed himself back up on his feet, forgetting the pulsating bump on his head. The tall youngster put all his power behind the fist that connected with the side of his tackler's head, sending him to the ground right in front of the referee. The whistle sounded.

Clint finished the match on the sidelines, having been red-carded for violent conduct. However he couldn't keep the smirk off his face when he looked at the opposing team’s bench, knowing he'd gotten his revenge on the aggravated defender, and helped his team to a 3-1 victory (The penalty was converted by TJ). After a few congrats, hugs and handshakes, the low-profile game was brought to an end. Clint was given a ride home by one of his teammates and didn’t even bother taking a shower or changing out of his red and gray soccer kit. Popping an aspirin into his mouth, Clint collapsed on the bed, welcoming the sweet darkness that would surely quell the throbbing pain in his head.

The rather annoying sound of a train passing by in the distance seemed to fade in from the darkness. Clint slowly opened his eyes, adjusting to the bright sunlight filtering through the window. It was way too bright to be early morning anymore, so he figured he’d slept through a good couple of hours. Instinctively, he shielded his eyes from the piercing light, which enabled him to focus on his fourth-story apartment. It was basically a spacious one-roomed dwelling equipped with a private bathroom and all the basic necessities. Clint had the option to live in a dorm or an apartment of his own and he preferred this, despite the fact that he’d miss out on the complete university experience. Lack of the will to deal with the hassle of having roommates, coupled with him not being a fan of curfews, drove him to make this decision. Renting a decent place, even if it was in New York, wasn’t a problem when you were a Hartford. Clint dragged himself up to a sitting position and headed for the refrigerator to pull out an ice pack. He knew he should’ve iced the bump on his head first thing when he came home, but hey, better late than never. Holding the ice pack to his head, he lazily lay down in front of the TV, flicking through the channels to kill time while his injury healed.

Nick Russell

Russell and Son's: Repair & Renew

With everyone at RootCore Nick was left in his shop by himself. Thus he had cranked the music up, and continued work on a very mean looking motorcycle. With Elvis Presley radiating through the room, Nick seemed to work more fluidly. At times taking the wrench off of the nuts and singing into the wrench.

"A little less conversation a little more action!"
Nick shouted into the wrench head as he leaned back.

"C'mon baby I'm tired'a talkin'!"
Nick began to walk around room, kicking his legs out like Elvis did all those years ago. He sung his head around, and tossed the wrench from his right hand to his left hand.

"Satisfy me baby!"
Nick shouted into the wrench head before again, prancing around the room, shaking his hips back and forth to the beat of the music.

As the song settled down, Nick began to chuckle. It felt good to laugh, now that he had time to laugh. Things had turned around so much since the Master was defeated, and the Kids were born. They brought so much joy into Nick's life, and he could only thank fate for blessing him with such wonderful kids.

"I suppose, I should get going."
Nick brushed off his clothes, and as he did so, they magically transformed into his wizard uniform. His best, cape, and pants. He grinned inspecting himself before running his hands through his messy hair, that magically changed also, cleaning up in an instant.

"Much better.."
Nick commented on his way out the door, after he shut the stero and lights off. He locked the door behind him.

"I hope they have dinner ready, I'm starving."
Nick commented as he walked through his backyard.

"Hey Phil! BBQ'ing tonight?"
Nick questioned as he waved to his neighbor standing on his back deck, appearing to cook something on the grill.

Phil seemed stunned by Nick's attire, and comment about food, as he walked toward the tree-line. But, throughout the years, Phil had gotten used to the weird crap happening next door. He merely nodded and waved to Nick.

"See ya later Phil! I've got a reunion to get to!"
Nick shouted before diving into the tree-line and vanishing out of sight.

Phil shook his head and returned to his hot dogs and chicken.

Meanwhile..

Nick arrived in Briarwood forest, just out side of Rootcore only a few minutes later. He knew short cuts through the forest, almost as well as he knew the back of his hand.

The door to Rootcore flew open as Nick arrived, his cape furling around his torso and legs as a breeze swept in with him. His eyes seemed dark, as a glare consumed his face. His evil expression floated across the faces that turned to look at him. However, in an instant his face softened as he began to laugh.

"Just kidding!"
Nick said lifting his arms into the air shrugging.

"I'm hungry, is dinner ready?"
Questioned Nick as he pushed Rootcore's door closed behind him.

Nicole Russell
Rootcore

Voices echoed around her but Nicole wasn’t completely there. After seeing everyone in certain groups she didn’t feel too comfortable joining in. She did listen to Claire and Madison as they explained to her a water spell of manipulation. It was a curious one to basically take energy out of your essence to channel liquid enough to mold and form it into a new shape. She had been eager to try it but decided maybe it would be best to do it away from everyone else. That gave her an excuse to escape the crowds. She hated crowds they always made her uncomfortable she would have preferred to be at home reading a good book or listening to her father tell stories. She loved her dad after all she was daddy’s little girl despite not having any interest in motorcycles. He was there for her a lot both of her parents were. She’d been seeing less and less of Skyler now a days but he always managed to spend some time with the family. Then again her days were compromised by work and her mystic lessons.

Concentration was completely on Nicole as she used both her hands to slowly form the water into a mermaid tail. Her mother’s mystic symbol she didn’t have one herself yet but Udonna promised they’d have a ceremony for her and Skyler and they’d receive their symbols then. She smiled fondly at the idea. It was unique she supposed to excel in two types of spells then again she and Skyler were children of Bowen the Light. She didn’t understand all that pertained but the creatures of the forest certainly looked at them differently especially Skyler they expected much from him. Which was fine with her she would have hated the pressure. The liquid bounced around in her hand pulling her out of her thoughts her eyes widened knowing there was a chance it could explode into a huge mess. Quickly she spoke the words of a certain spell to put it at peace again. Breathing a sigh of relief she worked with the water. ‘All I need is grandmother to freeze it and I can give this to Mom for her Birthday!’ She thought happily.

On the other side of the room Madison noticed her husband coming in and smiled walking up to greet him with an affectionate hug. “Glad to see you made it." Then she answered his question. "It will be ready in about thirty minutes according to Udonna.” She knitted her brow in confusion seeing the oddly placed expression on his face. “Are you alright?” There was something wrong with Nick but she couldn’t exactly place it just the way he acted then she found herself blinking and she breathed hard finding it difficult to catch her breath. She decided to dismiss the idea of this being important. ‘Probably just something to do with the aura of the atmosphere having so many mystics in one place.’ She noticed Nick looking at his daughter and shrugged with a smile. "I guess they get their fascination in magic from their father." Knowing what he’d ask soon she shrugged her shoulders. "I don’t know where are son is right now but you know Skyler he’s probably hanging out with his grandfather right now."

Nicole’s ears caught a sound of the creaking of the door and she glanced for a moment her eyes widened. There emerging into the room was the familiar form of her father in all his red glory. Forgetting her spell completely she jumped up and the water burst out of it’s protective bubble hitting her cousin Alexandria right in the face. The girl let out a loud cry of surprise then glared at Nicole. But she didn’t see her she was too busy scrambling to her feet to notice. She rushed across the room in a streak of blue and threw her arms around her father in a big hug. "I missed you!"

'She’s never too old to get a hug from her daddy.' Madison thought with a smile commented before walking off to watch her sister Vida having an arm wrestling contest with Xander. She couldn’t help but feel something was off… She also was feeling somewhat dizzy right now. Not noticing blue streaks the sparked around her body or the separate ones that came from everyone else.

Phesila
Woods outside of Reefside - California - 2004

Phesila emerged from the timestream. The Bios let out mutters and growls as they moved about but she quickly silenced them. Then her eyes scanned the area. She was in Reefside alright she could see scorch marks from the latest zord battle. She slowly transformed into her human disguise with smirk. Although she enjoyed the dramatic appearance that caused chaos she didn’t want to let the Dino Guardians know she was here just yet. ‘Now to find them.’ She looked carefully at the data pad. “They’ll be at a place called Hailey’s Cyber Café.” She told her partner then nodded to them. “You stay here I’m going alone.”

“Why?” He asked somewhat furious with her doing this.

“Simple you can’t disguise yourself I can. Plus someone needs to watch the bios.” Phesila said with a cackle and then winked before she walked off leaving him behind. Now if she was correct she would stumble across an unstable group of former dino rangers just before Kowna captured them. Well he got most of them Tommy still evaded her grasp. Thus he wasn’t in Gyronic’s little training program yet.

He shifted nervously as a bundle of energy was building up inside him wishing to spring out. He wanted to fight he just hoped she didn’t take so long. Why Gyronic chose her for this job he still couldn’t understand after all she was female. He didn't have to wait long before she returned.

"That stupid Time Hacker he didn't give me enough information. Apparently Dr. Oliver is not here." She hissed angrily hitting the nearest tree not caring that it split in two. Pulled out the cube and begun typing other numbers.

"He wasn't?" Her partner asked timidly.

Phesila glared at him. "No he was not. Apparently no one knows where he is right now." She tapped in a few more numbers and it opened up a dimension gate again. "So we will be heading to another time." She typed in a few more numbers. "I will find you Tommy Oliver you can't escape Gyronic for long." She hissed.

Gyronic
Orbiting Earth - Gyronic’s Ship – Throne Room, The Training Grounds - 2019

Gyronic looked over the copies of Trysi’s report it listed all the rangers captured thus far. Then he’d made his own too. He called it his Chosen Rangers. He wasn’t stupid he knew what an asset each of them could be they had the potential to be peacekeepers but… he grinned maliciously at the thought, they also had the potential for destruction. That was the beauty of this whole thing. Not only did he get rid of Earth’s Guardians but he was able to manipulate and change the ones who’d tapped into Evil back to their original way. It was a messy job to be sure and required getting into the heads of each ranger in some way or another. Spells, mind control, and breaking them those were just some of the basics it required. Kowna was a good general but he wasn’t someone that would strike as much fear, and pain as having your own ally turn against you.

Of course they’d broken free with the help of their old teammates in the past but he was not worried about that happening. After all he had all every ranger known in his keep. The sound of the door opening of his doors caught his attention and he looked up ready to flog the foolish one who dared to disturb his game but then he smiled seeing Kowna once again. “Ah I was hoping you’d come soon my General. I have something I would like you to see.” He motioned for him to follow and the two of them exited his throne room and he took large steps towards his destination.

They entered a platform which dipped down to reveal a pit where many, many rangers of different types were in held back by bios. He saw the confusion on Kowna’s face and smirked. “This is my masterpiece I’ve come up with a way to get more generals to be under you of course. Remember you captured all their power morphers. Without them they can’t become rangers but they still are Zordon’s champions.” He turned away from his general and spoke directly to all of the rangers his voice booming out.

“Greetings Potentials you have all been gathered here to have a chance of a lifetime. Now that you are free from your bonds the evil courses through your veins." He could feel the tension in the atmosphere the readiness to obey his everyone command. "You will have the privilege of exploiting the energy within you. But I only need Two Rangers thus why you are all here." They stared at one another ready to pounce he was pleased with this result. "Now you shall compete against each other to be my Champions. The rules are simple be the one standing and you have joined the ranks of Gyronic Remember there will be no killing you can bruise each other but I want each intact. No Random violence.”

He then turned away from the chaos for a moment to speak to his general. “Well Kowna what do you think? Will they suffice as part of your army?” He wanted his adviser's thoughts on things.

Macina
Mountains Outside of Angel Grove – Power Center – Mission Control, Training Room – 2019

Macina sighed and gently placed her own hand in his. "Your right Adrian. This can't be handled through stress." She looked at the grid carefully. "I mean we must do something!" She clenched her one fist then nodded. "Gyronic can't win..." Stepping away from the console she gestured to it. "Can you watch for any energy spikes in the morphing grid Adrian?" with the questioning glance he gave her smiled thinly. "I'm going to try to create another morpher I might be able to replicate this one then we'll have at least one more or two." Meaning they'd both have to go out into battle even though her human friend had zero exprience with this he was a good fighter.

Once she was alone she stared at the purple morpher. She knew it was a long shot but perhaps, perhaps a few more could be made. Rummaging through the drawers she pulled out a base and a shell for the morpher. Now she just needed to channel her energies with the morphing grid it might disable her genetic abilities for a while but she was sure it would help. Energy dispersed between the two and she concentrated harder as she typed in the necessary coding. A sharp pain entered her skull and she yelped loosing control and crashing into the nearby console. Macina gasped as the saw the red energy floating above her she'd done it. But then it exploded into many particles leaving a mess. Receiving a beeping on her communicator she spoke into the mouth piece. "I'm alright Adrian it just backfired on me again that is all."

Rylan Anthony Hart- Angel Grove

After he was done reading up on the past power rangers, he was still in a little bite of shock. But it started to sink in more and more as the minutes passed that he was the son of a power ranger. And most likely all his moms’ friends were once rangers. "I gotta talk to mom." He thought as he signed off the computer and ran upstairs and rummaged around his room for a shirt and his cell phone and keys to his car. "Oh come...come on...where are they" He said as he finally moved a pile of cloths and found his car keys and cell phone. "Since mom is busy in a meeting maybe I'll head on over to the gym and catch her after the meetings are out." He opened his car door and felt a sudden change in the wind. He could almost feel something....something vile and wicked in the air it was like something was calling out to him to warn him of impending danger but he just couldn’t justify sitting still and waiting to see if anything happened. So he tried to shake it off and got in his car and backed out of the drive way and headed towards the gym. But the whole way there in the back of his mind he was thinking about what that feeling meant.

Once he arrived at the Swooping Crane gymnastics school, he slide into a parking space and had the engine was off and he was out of the car like a bolt of lightning. He arrived at the back door and inputted the 6 digit code to get in through the security door. “She should change that…I think half the town knows what it is.” He said to no one as he let the door shut gently behind him.

Once he strolled down the hallway peeking in just about every room to see if he could find his mom. He figured maybe he would go and wait for her in her office. Once inside he sat in the chair and just as he did he heard another person enter. He looked up and found his mom looking at him.

“Rylan…what are you doing here?” She said as she adjusted her top and ran her fingers through her hair. “I thought you were staying in today?” Rylan got up and walked toward the door and shut it tightly.

“Umm maybe you could shed some light on a certain picture I found…in a vase next to the entertainment center…or well what’s left of the entertainment center.” He said as he folded his arms and leaned up against the door. Kimberly just sighed and took a deep breathe as she felt a slight annoyance rise up in her, but she held it in check “Rylan, it was for your own good I didn’t want you to know…hardly anyone knows about that…or what happened in the past. I would like t to stay that way.” She said as she gave him a glare letting him know he should drop it. But he didn’t get the hint.

“Oh come on that’s a load of crap…if you didn’t want me to find out about…well you know you shouldn’t have kept it. Or anything from the past…” He was then cut off by her. “Ry! I said drop it…if you can’t comprehend those simple words then get the hell out. I got a ton of work to do and I am stressing about this weekend’s up coming competition. I don’t need to be getting the fifth degree from you….DO YOU understand!” She all but shouted at him.

Rylan was kind of in shock…in all his life his mom had yelled at him, but this seemed different she seemed generally annoyed with him. So he cocked his head to one side and gave her a smirk and went to open the door. “You know…hide behind the school all you want mom, but I will find everything out one way or another…including if dad was a ranger to.” He said as he let the door open as he walked away. Not really wanting to listen or talk to anyone. “Good lord…I swear it’s like she is PMSing or something” He then rounded the corner and out the door her went to his car.

Malachi Grover
Somewhere on the outskirts of Tyxeros, California

Bellows of sand flew up in the air as Malachi directed the beautiful 1971 Dodge Challenger RT towards his hometown. It had cooled down considerably since his walk with David, patrolling Corinth. But it was still rather harsh out here, the air felt dry and lank...As if it carried with it, the very essence of death itself. The seat squeaked as he adjusted his sitting position and leant his arm on the window - for him, growing up in this wasteland - it felt like strolling through Miami.

Music boomed out of the few cassettes that his dads friend, Dillon had given to him on his 15th birthday. Most included sounds that irritated the residents of Corinth, but Malachi loved a bit of AC/DC to keep his day alive. He patted the wooden steering wheel in front of him and pulled a tight left. He almost missed the small road that led to the only city entrance. "Dad's gonna go nuts, when he finds out I turned up a day early" he beamed at the thought of his dads excitement.

Upon arriving in the city, Malachi left the car doors open to let some of the citizens enjoy his music. They were already gathering and partying away to "Back in Black" by the time he had reached his house.

From the outside, the house looked more like a well structured tent. Strong fabricated walls on the four sides were pulled up and hinged from a concrete roof support that was supported by four stone pillars. The building had been in ruins when they'd first arrived, but thanks to creativity on both his parents parts, it now looked like an architectural masterpiece.

Malachi stepped inside just in time to recieve a blow to his shoulder as his dad threw a glass vase at him. He crumpled to the floor but quickly regained his composure as he looked up at his angered dad...Wait - his dad was angry? Ziggy was probably was of the most laid back dad's he'd ever met. "Dad, what the hell?"
Ziggy stayed quiet, holding his clenched fists by his side and breathing heavily. "What's wrong?" Malachi tried again. He pushed himself up against the wall and removed a thick shard of glass from his shoulder. But no matter what he tried to do, his dad continued to look furiously across at him. Like some sort of terratory had just been crossed or something. Had his dad forgotten him? He tried to remind him. "It's me, Malachi...Your son?" Dad wheres mum?" he looked around for his genius of a mother - if anyone knew what was going on, it would be her.

He threw the door open just in time to block another projectile and left the building. Blood trickled from his shirt, shocking the neighbours as he began scouring the area for his mother. "Mum?!" he poked his head inside of one of the cafeteria's to see his mother, along with several other women cowering behind a large table.

Mai Trueheart Oliver
Native American Reservation, Just Outside Angel Grove

When visiting the reservation, Mai's favorite time of day was the preparation of the evening meal. Everyone in the tribe got together, made dinner, and laughed andd joked like one big happy family. Mai often used the distraction to slip some special ingredients into the communal meal, like that time she replaced the ground beef with squid because she was all about the seafood that week.

Mai was no longer allowed to work on the main course.

Today, though, Mai worked silently. Everyone around her was laughing and joking like usual, but Mai couldn't get the argument with her father out of her head.

"I want you to lead the Power Rangers."

Mai froze, still in mid-bite of her chicken-flavored Cup o' Noodles. A strand of the aforementioned noodle dangled out of her mouth for a second, before Mai began to slowly slurp it in, clearly not stalling for time.

On the other side of the room, Mai's mother looked up from her novel, eyes wide and mouth slightly open in surprise. This was not how she'd expected her husband to begin the conversation with Mai.

Finally, Mai replied. "Did you know that the pieces of plastic on the ends of shoeleaces are called aglets? Their true purpose is sinister."

Tommy blinked. "I'm sorry?"

Mai took another bite of noodles, replying to her father through a mouthful of pasta. "Well, I just figure that if you're allowed to make nonsense statements..."

Tommy chuckled. "It's not a nonsense statement, Mai. You're the child of two former Power Rangers, and I think it's about time for you to live up to-"

"I swear to god, if you tell me to live up to my potential, I'm joining a gang." This was an idle threat; Mai had made it so many times before that Tommy knew not to take her seriously.

"Well, it's true," Tommy insisted. "You're eighteen now, three years older than I was when I became a Power Ranger, and I think it's time to start thinking about which color you'd like your wardrobe to be."

"Um." Mai cocked her head to the side, trying to figure out if her father was serious. "Are you serious?"

Well, Jesus, it's not like she's a detective or anything, right?

(Right.)

"Mai, I've been telling you about the Power Rangers since you were old enough to understand them," Tommy said slowly, as if surprised that she didn't remember.

"I remember those. You usually followed up with a rousing rendition of 'Santa Claus knows if I'm naughty or nice' and 'if I keep doing that I'll go blind', so..."

Tommy chuckled again, though it was with a touch less amusement this time. "Fair enough. Come with me."

"Where to? Also, I have perfect 20/20 vision, I'll have you know."

"Downstairs."

Mai quickly slurped the remainder of her noodles as her father led her to his study, and she tossed out the styrofoam cup in his trash. Tommy approached the grandfather clock off in the corner and began messing with the hands.

Mai had always thought that the clock totally threw off the room's feng shui. She had tried getting her dad to have it moved to a better spot, so the chi would flow more naturally, but her dad had never agreed to it. He didn't even seem to like having her near-

Holy shit, is that clock opening?!

Indeed, as her father moved the clock's hands to a specific time, it moved to the side, revealing a stone staircase leading down.

"So this is why we live on a mountain in the middle of nowhere!" Mai exclaimed. "I always just assumed that the 'Power Chamber' you used to talk about was code for the house!"

"To be fair, the tactical value of a mountain base can't be underestimated. Screws with enemy sensors, provides natural camouflage, and you always want the high ground advantage," Tommy replied automatically.

"Buh wuh," Mai said.

Tommy led his daughter down the stairs and through a doorway, leading her into a room she decided was the bastard daughter of Star Trek and... a different Star Trek. Deep Space Nine maybe, because of all the amber hues.

"This is Dino Ops," Tommy said, spreading his arms out as if he were presenting the base to his daughter. Which, in a way, he kind of was.

"Dino Ops? Seriously?" Mai, despite her flippant words, was kind of in awe. "I bet I could come up with a better name. Off the top of my head - the Fantasticorium!"

"Well, it's yours now, so..."

"Buh wuh?" Mai asked.

"I mean it. I first became the Black Ranger here, and I'd like for you to become a Ranger here as well." Tommy reached into a drawer and pulled out a funky dinosaur-themed bracelet, offering it to Mai (who finally understood why it was called 'Dino Ops').

"Me?"

"A Power Ranger, yes. Responsible for the fate of the world on a weekly basis. Sometimes, even twice a week, but usually only during sweeps or marathons."

Mai's heart was racing a mile a minute. Her hands were clammy. This was an incredible thing her father was offering her, a chance to become one of the foremost powers for righteousness in the uni-

"Pass."

Well. Never mind then.

Tommy blinked, his smile frozen sort of creepily on his face. "Buh wuh?" I guess it's genetic.

"Pass. I don't want to be a Power Ranger. Thanks, though. Do I need the code to go back upstairs or what?" Mai turned around to leave, but Tommy's hand on her shoulder stopped her short.

"What do you mean, you don't want to be a Power Ranger? You... understand what I'm offering you, right?" Tommy was perplexed. Or maybe he'd just forgotten to understand his daughter that day, I dunno.

"No, I get it. And I'm glad you have that kind of faith in me. I'm just not interested." Mai shrugged. "Sorry."

"Sorry?" Tommy shook his head, trying to clear the cobwebs that *had* to have been messing with his senses. Why would anyone not want to be a Power Ranger? "I don't understand. Why wouldn't you want to be a Power Ranger?"

"Honestly?" Mai looked down and to the side, avoiding eye contact with her father. "You almost had me at Power Ranger, but then you went and brought up that responsibility..."

"Mai, you're very responsible. I wouldn't be asking this of you if I didn't think so."

"You're my dad. You have to think so! But how many goldfish have I killed over the years? You won't trust me with a puppy, but you think I'm a good candidate for defending the planet? Honestly?"

Tommy almost dropped what Mai now realized was a morpher. He stumbled back a step in shock before speaking again. And he was not happy. "Mai. I've been training you your entire life. The martial arts, the books on war and strategy, the chess... I hate chess!"

"I'm sorry, Dad, I just-"

"You're sorry?" Tommy was just a hair's breadth from screaming now, something he'd never once done with Mai. "I'm offering you something that only a handful of humans have EVER been offered, and you're just... saying no! Of all the irresponsible..."

"Yes! Irresponsible!" Mai had also never raised her voice to her father, not even during those icky teen years, but now she found herself matching her father's volume and tone and adding a shade. "Kind of the point, right? I'm too irresponsible to be trusted with something as important as-"

"How dare you lecture me! I think I know better than you about this, young lady!"

Mai hated being called 'young lady'. "Dad, I just don't want to! Quit being such a jerk!"

"GO TO YOUR ROOM, MAI!" Tommy screamed, pointing at the stairs leading back up to the main house. Apparently, being called a jerk was one of his buttons or something.

"SCREW YOU!" Mai shot back oh-so-eloquently, although she did storm back up the stairs. Kat rose from her chair, ready to ask Mai what she and her father had talked about, but Mai didn't giver her the chance. She stormed right out the door, and didn't stop storming until she'd walked the three hours to the Reefside bus station, buying a ticket to Angel Grove.

Had she done anything really wrong?

Sure, there was the yelling, but her dad really had started it. Mai just... replied in kind.

Mai still didn't talk much during the preparation, nor during the meal itself. Really, all she wanted to do now was go for a walk, but it was getting dark, and Mai hadn't brought anything warm to wear in the chilly mountain air.

She decided she didn't care.

Thanking everyone for their part in preparing the meal, Mai left before dessert was served, making her way to the nearby mountain.

Dr. Tommy Oliver
Reefside

"Hey, Tommy,"

Tommy smiled as he realized who it was calling him. "David. It's been a while."

The brothers exchanged a bit of polite small talk before turning to the topic Tommy had known was coming. "Fox is here."

Tommy nodded, although David wouldn't be able to see that over the cell phone. "Good."

A pause. "Is that all?"

"If she weren't safe, you'd have told me. She's entitled to spend some time with her uncle now and again," Tommy replied, deliberately avoiding the topic. Obviously.

"You're not even going to ask me if she's still angry?"

Tommy shook his head, although (again) David couldn't see the movement. "She'll come around."

David paused again. "Come around? Don't you think that she kind of has a point?"

Tommy struggled with the urge to redirect his anger toward his brother. It wasn't his fault; David hadn't been there. "She's wrong," he finally said.

"Wrong." It wasn't a question.

"Yes. She's completely capable of what I asked of her, she just needs to realize that."

David sighed. "It's not a question of ability, Tommy. It's a question of will. All the ability in the world won't matter if, in the end, you're doing something you don't want to do. Even if it's to make someone else happy," David added pointedly.

"But she could be one of the greats! Better than Jason, or Andros, or-"

"You?"

Tommy chuckled humorlessly. "I wasn't going to go there, but yeah. Better than me."

"Difference is, you wanted to be there. Even if it was to make up for what Rita did to you, you wanted to make up for it."

This time, Tommy paused. "I suppose. But-"

"You're as stubborn as she is, you know."

Tommy smiled softly at... nothing in particular. "Yeah. I know."

"She's staying up here for a few days, maybe a week. Hopefully, when she's cooled off a little, you will have too."

The brothers exchanged a few more pleasantries before disconnecting, leaving Tommy alone in Dino Ops with his thoughts.

I wonder if David and Kat planned to tag team me like this...

Lena Ford - Matthews
New York City - NYU - 2024

The lounge was already filled with students, each in their own little groups drinking coffee with stacks of books placed infront of them. Lena smiled and waved at those she had become to call friends, before spotting her own clique at the couch in the far corner. Due to taking her sweet time getting dressed, Angela had already sprung for coffee and left her's sitting nicely at the empty spot with a small note attached to the lid. Lena took her seat and examined the note "Yeah IOU several rounds I know! I'm sorry I had some things to sort out it kinda took a while" Trying to explain her tardiness of late had be come a reoccurring habit. The conversation was already flowing smoothly that a thought popped into her head and Lena jumped in her skin "Oh shoot!" Quickly pushing herself up out of the comfy couch, Lena remembered that her friend Clint had a soccer game at dawn, a rather weird time for a match in her mind. She threw glances at her other friends, they too knew she had somewhere to be yet did not feel they needed to remind her. Lena bit the side of her mouth, her eyes piercing at them with a hint of frustration " I will seek my revenge on you later" Lena sped towards the revolving door and pushed her way through, reaching the side walk outside. Many people obscured her vision as they passed her, making it even more difficult to see past the blinding sunlight.

Clint and Lena had become the best of friends in a short period of time due to working together most days and having the ability to feel comfortable around each other. Comfortable enough that Lena even had her own key to Clint's apartment so she didn't have to stand knocking for hours at the door. She searched through her pockets for her key thinking it was still in her jacket "It's in my other jacket" Lena sighed only to laugh at her own stupidity, especially now a taxi was right there infront of her. Making the driver wait for a moment, Lena headed back inside the building to retrieve the key. The elevator must have been playing up, that was the only explanation as to it's lateness, no matter how many times Lena pressed the up button "Drats!" Lena abandoned the idea of the easy way and took to the stairs.

Moments later Lena burst through the door only to be startled upon her entrance "Mom!" Lena gasped in surprise at her mother's sudden appearance in her room, "What are you doing here?" Lena posed the question, closing the door behind her whilst keeping a close eye on Kira. Never in her time at NYU has Kira showed up unannounced, this was completely out of the blue so there had to be a reasonable explanation. " I thought I'd pick you up early, I knew you wanted to come visit" Kira seemed to be in an agitated way, pacing back and forth with a handfull of clothes that she placed neatly into a large Louis Vuitton Keeppal 60 travel bag. Lena shrugged of her mother's eagerness and watched as she rummaged through her things "I have no idea where you get your trashy fashion sense from!" Kira snapped clocking her daughters current outfit, nothing Lena ever wore phased her. Gulping, Lena dropped her gaze to the floor to avoid a confrontation, "You know what's funny? I called you like half an hour ago to tell you I was considering coming home". "Why's that funny Lena?" Kira shot her daughter an almost death stare that lasted a few seconds, then turned her back on Lena and continued to pack up her things. " Ah...no reason I guess" Lena choked on her words once she caught the look in her mother's eyes, a look of pure emptiness.

Stepping back out into the corridor Lena now noticed a sign on the elevator doors stating they were 'out of order'. Narrowing her eyebrows Lena thought this was particularly odd, seeing as they worked perfectly fine earlier this morning and now their was a technical fault. Before Lena even had chance to speak, Kira called her from the entrance to the stairs and motioned for her to follow " I'm coming, for crying out loud" Lena took to the steps first after around five minutes of "You go" and "No you can go first" from both mother and daughter. Giving up on the petty dispute proved easier for Kira and Lena would soon find out why. A sharp pain jolted through the back of her right leg sending Lena falling, however when she tried to hold onto something, she grabbed the bottom of Kira's jeans, taking her down with her. They both toppled down the stairs, but Lena managed to catch the handrail and stop her fall as Kira continued to tumbling, landing on her side at the bottom of the stairs. "Mom! Don't move!" Regaining her composure Lena rushed to her side none the wiser that her own mother caused her fall.

Matias Scott
Angel Grove – 2018

Matias had left work, early, today - a trait that was incredibly out of character for the young man. He loved being in the theatre, practically more than anything….and yet today, all it brought him was more stress. His life seemed to be falling apart, with only o0ne place left for him to turn – to his father, Jason Lee Scott.

The son had attempted to call his father, but he couldn’t get through; knowing full well that Jason didn’t check his messages, Mati decided to simply surprise him with a visit. Stopping home first, the younger Scott went through his entire wardrobe, looking for only the very best of what he had to wear. He settled on a black dress shirt, accompanied with a matching pair of slacks, and a silver vest and tie – all made of silk. He smirked, liking the way it looked in the mirrors…until he noticed that a button was missing from the vest.

Cursing under his breath, Matias ran to the kitchen. Taking out a hard plastic bowl, the young man did what he promised to his father that which he’d limit; it was time for a little bit of good ole’ transmutation, an ability that always calmed him down. Placing his hands atop the bowl, which had been chosen as it matched the color of the button, Matias Scott began to concentrate; blue sparks of energy emitted from his palms, and the bowl began to glow. Its shape broke down and began to reform intro a series of several smaller shapes; several buttons where left in the bowl’s place.Picking one up, smiling as he did, he pressed it against the vest – where the other was missing – he transmuted once again, securing the button to the vest.

About fifteen minutes later, Mati left his home and headed to his father’s place, taking a ride in his silver-blue 2012 Ford Mustang. After a fairly brief trip, the actor arrived at the fairly large home of Dr. Jason Lee Scott, Ph.D. It felt strange to be back, both comforting and shame-inducing. With a deep sigh, he finally stepped up to the door, and gave a ring.

“Hey….Dad? It’s me, Mati – can I come in?”

There was silence. Sor a few moments, he considered leaving, but finally Jason opened the door. He looked somewhat disheveled, his hair somewhat longer and his clothing – a t-shirt and jeans – were somewhat messy. A bit confused, Matias opened his mouth to ask a question, but was interrupted by Jason.

“Get it; I’m not in the mood for your usual pity-act; I want to make this quick.”

“Erm…yes Sit.”

Mati entered past the doorway, with a sinister-looking, smirking Jason standing behind him….

Pink Overdrive Ranger - Vanessa 'Vanny' Lo:
Angel Grove

Vanessa no sooner was off work and she made her way to her night class. She sat in the back like she always did and one of her recently new friends came over and sat with her. She put on a fake smile like she was happy to be here, but she truly wasn’t. Anatomy was never fun. They had either a test or quiz each class and they wrote many essays for their own good. As her teacher Mr. Tar walked into the classroom all the students became quiet. He then spoke, in his old and scratchy way. Vanny never liked him, she thought at one point he was possibly jealous of who her parents were and how they were respected more on the campus then he was. Now that she thought that, why were they? Her father was great at what he did, and her mother was a sheer genius. Though there were many people like that. Why were they so special? Was there something that they never told her? “No,” she whispered to herself. She had a great relationship with her parents and she knew that they would always tell her the truth as she did to them.

She was so lost in thought that she barley felt her friend Beth tap her on the shoulder. “Yea?” Vanny asked looking up. “Um, class is over Vanny.” Vanessa looked around. It was just the two of them and the teacher in the room. “Oh! Sorry, I was thinking.” “About what?” Beth asked as they left. “Nothing really.” “Well it sure seemed like something, in order for you to not be able to notice that the class was over.” Vanny nodded back and no sooner made her way to her car. She said goodbye and climbed in. She looked out her front mirror and took a deep sigh. Why was she feeling funny all of a sudden, and why such the worry with her family? She pulled out of the parking lot and made her way down the street. As she drove, she turned up the radio and Kelly Clarkson came on singing “Already Gone,” her mind then went away. She dreamed of herself wearing a pink leotard and stand in the balance beam. All the lights and eyes were on her. She was about to do her final step in her rue teen when- “No!” she cried out and slammed her breaks. A small tear came down her face. She looked around and noticed she was the only one on the road and pulled over. She placed her forehead against the wheel and just laid there.

After what seemed like about ten minutes, she heard a noise and looked out her right window and saw where she was. She was in front of the gym where she used to participate at. She got out of her car and walked over to the big window. She saw Maya and a few other girls she knew in there practicing and being coached. She felt another small tear coming but she stopped it before it came. She turned around and planned to head back to her car and go home, but was scared out of her wits instead. “Mom!” she cried out. “What are you doing here?” “I was getting some groceries, I parked right over there. What are you doing?” “Hugh? Oh ugh….” She didn’t how to reply. Her mother smiled and took her by the shoulders and said, “You know, I don’t know why you quite gymnastics, you should get back in it.” Vanessa stepped away and stared at her. “What?” she asked. Her mother blinked at her innocently. “Are you kidding mom? Y-you know I can’t, not since my injury.” Her mother nodded, “Oh yes, I apologize. I completely forgot about that.” She turned and left to her car. Leaving Vanny there speechless. How could her mom forget something like that? This day has suddenly gotten strange.

*Rylan Anthony Hart- Angel Grove*

Rylan made it to his car and slide into the driver’s seat he put the key in the ignition and sat there for a moment as he still couldn't shake this weird feeling he had. After a couple more seconds he started his car and backed out of his space and headed towards the main road in Angel Grove. Once he was on the main drag he popped into his Alter Bridge CD and tried to drown out the weirdness of today with the music cranked up as loud as he could stand it. Soon he found himself seeing signs for the Juice bar he made his way to the parking lot for Ernie's Juice bar and pulled into a space that was pretty close to the door. He shut the engine off and pulled his keys, and as he did he looked at the key chain his mom got him a while ago. It was a Falcon with the saying, Winged Lord of the Skies imprinted on it. He rubbed his thumb over the falcon and felt a strong peace come over him. He sat in silence as he just stared at the falcon. But he was soon shaken out of his trance by a group of kids running from the juice bar.

"Man...I need to calm down...must have been those Ho-ho's I had earlier" He said as he got out of his car and shut the door and stood up tall and reached for the sky as if willing himself to stretch as far as he could. He then took a deep breathe and let his arms fall to his side. He then made his way into the juice bar. He saw kids playing video games...to some practicing martial arts, even some were studying. He cracked his knuckles as he made his way to the counter.

"Hey, can I have a strawberry banana smoothie with an apple?" He asked as the person behind the counter took his order and then left to prepare his smoothie and to grab an apple for him. Rylan swiveled in his seat and turned to the crowd of students before him. Soon he heard the server place the drink down behind him. Rylan turned and took a small sip from the straw and let the flavors run wild through his mouth. He blamed his mom for his addiction to smoothies...ever since he was young enough to remember they would always come here and get a couple to go. With that thought his mind wondered back to his mom and wondered why she was acting off lately. He then just pinned it on her just being stressed about everything going on. He then picked up the smoothies and swung back around to watch the people in the juice bar.

Malachi Grover
Tyxeros, California

"What are you doing here?!"

The words that his mother uttered, hurt him to the core, but he knew it was just fear talking. Fear for herself and him. But why? What was going on with his dad? He felt his head spin and looked down at the gash on his arm. It had been over 7 minutes since he had been injured, at least and it was still pouring blood.

Tearing a sleeve from his t-shirt, Malachi quickly wrapped it tight around the wound and made his way over to the counter. He opened a bottle of water and quickly guzzled as much as possible down...This heat combined with loss of blood was not a nice combo.

As he turned around to speak with his mother, she quickly wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face into his chest. Shocking him to the core. In most of his life, his mother had never so much as held his hand to cross the street, and here she was, seeking actual affection from him. He felt himself welling up with tears, but knew that that was not what she needed right now at all.

"Mum, you have to tell me whats going on"

Dr. Kay moved her head back to look up to him and spoke. "Your dad...Some sort of flux in the electrons on my reader and your dad, he-he attacked me"

Malachi looked down to see blood on his mothers shoulder from a recent attack. It was bandaged up well enough though, so his concern didn't last for more than a minute.

"You said a freak electrical fry-out did this? Mum, is it...Venjix?"

He felt her tense up in his arms and immediatly regretted bringing up her abomonation of a creation from Alphabet Soup. But he needed to know what he was dealing with, and how to help his dad.

"I'll call Colnel Truman, get us some back up...I need to make sure that dad doesn't hurt himself until they get here though"

"Okay...Malachi, whatever this is, it's not Venjix"

By that, he knew that she meant. 'be careful', his mother never, ever answered his questions about Venjix, no matter how dire the situation had been. Once, he'd been chased by loose Grinder arm down the street, and she still hadn't explained how it had happened.

After barricading his mother and some of the other civillians within the cafeteria, Malachi ran towards his house and was stopped short as electrical wires from above exploded in a crackle of purple and green energy. He spiralled backwards and dodged a loose wire that was coiling like a deadly snake in the centre of the street.

"Can this day get any worse?!"

Kowna

Listening and seeing all that his master had to show him, was interesting to the point where, Kowna believed that his master had no faith in him and his men too get the job done."Does he truly see me as weak?, and what of my men?, does he think them weak to bring in these power punks to help us?".

Watching as the rangers struggled to get free. "I mean they can't even break free of their binds, I could do that as a child. They are weak without their powers, while I have mine all the time,"

“Well Kowna what do you think? Will they suffice as part of your army?”. Was heard from his master, the so called King Gyronic, "I am not sure sir, at the moment they seem, nothing except weak and pathetic, if they are to be a part of my army, they need to be strong not just in their ranger forms but their human ones as well. Even I as a child could break free of those measliy pieces of junk."

"And if I train them, then they will be my rangers, so in essencee they would follow my command, this could be a good idea."

"Let's see what they are made of shall we?"

Astronema - No Better Days

Astronema looked around her and noticed how few rangers were left standing, a smirk crossed her face as she revealed in the fact that she was far superior to any of the few left standing, as far as she could tell they had all morphed in order to defeat each other, but not her, no, she didnt feel the need to show off that much.

It's the season of the dark horse
The ocean of night
It's the angel of mercy
Leaving you behind
You ache for the cure
You're pleading
Save me
Give me some more

A ranger came running at her off to her right, she simply back handed the ranger as they got within reaching distance, the back hand created pink sparks upon impact. Astronema spun her wrath staff around slighty showing off her control of her weapon of choice, more of a warning than anything else, then brught it down hard on the rangers back, looking over to where she could sense Gyronic was with bloodlust in her eyes she said,

"Are you not entertained?"

There's no shelter tonight
Escape from the pain
There is nothing
No end to this game
You're so wicked,
All evil and cruel
It won't save you,
Save me
From what I'm gonna do,

She pulled some hair from her face with an ever blissful smile and looked around the arena to decide who would be next.

There is no better hand,
There are no better days,
And it's Coming,
The fury and the rage,
My vengeance,
Will rain down on you
There's no mercy,
Have mercy
In what I'm gonna do

Two more rangers ran at her probaly hoping to double team her before turning on each other. Astronema pointed her at one of the rangers and smugly smiled before pink bolts of energy flew out of her hand sending one of the rangers flying backwards and landing hard into the ground. Building on the momentum Astronema moved quickly and swiped the other ranger of the ground and drove her hard back into it. Astronema shot a glare downward toward the ranger and then backed away, letting the ranger get up off the ground. The ranger went off and finished off the ranger Astronema previously sent flying back, hypnosis was one of her favourite forms of magic and pawns were some of her favourite people.

You're just a victim,
You're just a number,
A dead man walking,
Buried alive

Clint Hartford

Clint's eyes were focused on the TV screen temporarily while the throbbing in his head slowed down. Eventually, his hand dipped to his side, dropping the ice pack. Clint gave in to a light slumber, despite the fact that he had just woken up. He wasn't to sleep for long though. The very loud sound of cars crashing and things exploding, emanating from the TV woke him up what seemed like a short time later. Clint woke up with a start and lightly cursed under his breath upon finding that the ice pack had melted on the couch beside him. He glanced at the clock to find an hour had passed in his nap, but his head felt way better. He cracked his head a few times to shake the cramp off his neck, then got up and sauntered over to the bathroom to take a shower. Stripping out of his clothes, he stepped in, cringing at the initially cold water before it turned to a more preferable warm-hot temperature.

The water seemed to wash most of the fatigue off from the rather oddly timed match, which was set at this time since it was a rescheduled match and the players wanted to experience early morning football. Clint himself thought it was a pretty cool, if a bit crazy, experience to have, even though waking up that early wasn’t entirely his thing. Still, it was not hard to recover from, when you’d been playing as long as Clint had. He stepped out of the shower minutes later, finding that he had yet again neglected to put a fresh towel in its holder. One of the negatives of living on your own, Clint sighed and opened the bathroom door an inch, peeking around to make sure no one was there. More specifically, with Lena having the extra set of keys to his place, she was welcome here at any time, but he wasn’t sure how him making a run for the towel would go down, aside from possible fits of laughter.

Still, Clint made a run for the laundry. He found a fresh towel amidst a pile of laundered clothes waiting to be ironed. Within a couple of minutes, he had dried himself and picked out a lazily ironed white T-shirt with text in red over the front, and a pair of blue Levi’s jeans. Quickly donning his attire for the day, Clint grabbed his phone, wallet and the apartment keys lying on the nearby counter and walked out of the apartment, locking up behind him. He trotted down the entire four floors to the bottom. A couple standing at the foot of the stairs looked up at him and he just nodded and headed past. Clint whipped out his phone, recalling one of his best friends and wondering why she’d not popped in to berate him on his little run-in yet. As he looked at the blank message screen, he pondered over what to write. Conventional wasn’t his style, so he sent a message asking,” You alive? :P”. He didn’t pause to think over how it would come off, mostly because Lena was one of those people who understood him better than others. Clint flipped the phone shut and headed towards the nearby Starbucks for some coffee, which was his something like a regular hangout for him.

Matias Scott
2018

Why was the room spinning so? That thought had crept into Mati’s mind, before he hit the floor, a bump now pulsating on his head. In agony, the younger Scott slowly turned his head back…getting a glimpse of his own father standing behind him, bloodied baseball bat in hand. Wait, bloodied? How hard had he exactly been hit?

“Dad..what’s going on?” Matias spoke, slurring several of his words. “It’s me, Mati…”

“Oh, I know who you are,” Jason nearly growled at his son, playing with the bat he held. “You….you’re the brat who cost me my wife! Give me back my Rachel!”

Matias was beginning to truly freak out; his mother, Rachel Scott, had died during child birth. His father must of literally lost his mind. Still dazed, the teen struggled to crawl as far away as possible, but it wasn’t of use – his father was still in perfect shape, and could pummel him at any moment.

“Give her back – you’re not worth her sacrifice!”

“Dad, get a hold of yourself!”

Left without an option, Mati reached out and pressed his palm against the floor. Just as Jason prepared to strike, again, Matias transmuted the floorboards directly in front of his father, elevating them greatly, and at a high pace. With his balance lost, Jason fell backwards, fast, ending with the back of his head smashing loudly against the cold, hard flooring.

Matias slowly dragged himself off of the floor, and turned toward his unmoving father.

“Dad…?”

Mai Trueheart Oliver

The next day, Mai woke early.

Early for her was noonish.

The tribe was hard at work doing everything they did - cleaning, cooking, hunting, farming, and all of the above. The tribe was mostly self sufficient, but a few still drove into Angel Grove every day to work a nine-to-five, earning money for the tribe as a whole. Today, Mai felt like bumming around the city instead of spending her time on the reservation. She felt mildly guilty that she wouldn't be helping out with meal preparation, but she probably wouldn't be partaking of the meals either. At least, not until tomorrow.

Mai hitched a ride into Angel Grove with a pair of guys who worked construction in the city, riding down the mountain in the back of their pickup truck. It may have been horribly illegal, but blah blah blah.

By some sort of odd coincidence (also, it is where the road led), the truck dropped Mai off at Angel Grove Park. Mai had grown up listening to her father's stories, and when they weren't about saving the world, the park featured heavily. It's where he got his first kiss from his first girlfriend (who was not Mai's mother, leading the girl to wonder why he'd even bothered telling that one). It was where he was when Zordon teleported him off to become the White Ranger. And it was where Tommy had proposed to Kat.

Mai slipped her sneakers and socks off as she walked through the grass in the park, relishing the feel of the soft grass on her bare feet. She could see why her parents and their friends had spent so much time here. Even after over twenty years, the park had kept extremely well. It was clean, pristine even, and there were barely even any pebbles in the grass (or at least the bits she stepped on). Through the shrubbery, Mai spied Angel Grove Lake, another part of the town Tommy had spoken of often.

Mai wondered why she had never come here, even with her love of being outside. She'd been to Angel Grove enough, but she barely ever ventured into the city. Maybe she'd spent most of her life subconsciously trying to not be her parents.

Or maybe she just loved the mountains just that much more.

At the edge of the park, Mai spied a building that she instantly recognized from her father's stories as the Angel Grove Youth Center. She was surprised both that it was still open, and that it looked the same as her father had described it to her. As she remembered, she felt her stomach rumble slightly. Checking the sun's position and then sheepishly remembering she was wearing a watch, Mai saw that it had been too long since she'd been awake and not eating.

Walking inside, the Youth Center was like a blast from the past, even though Mai had never been there. The sights, the smells, the sounds, her father had told her about all of them. She felt like this was her old hangout, like at any moment she could-

Hey. Wait a second. Who's the cutie at the bar?

Mai, as a general rule, didn't go for the tall, handsome, popular types, considering them generic and boring. She dated clowns and nerds, because they are awesome. But this guy... something about him just spoke.

Nonchalantly, Mai walked over to the bar, a few seats down from the utterly gorgeous guy in white, unconsciously brushing a strand of hair back behind her ear.

God. She was never like this.

After a moment of focusing on the menu and praying that she was only imagining the blushing, Mai realized that she had no idea what kind of smoothie was good.

"Hey, um..." Mai said, turning to the cute guy. "Sorry, to bother you, but, I've kind of never had a smoothie before, and I'm thirsty and at a place that I've heard has really good smoothies, so I was wondering if maybe you could recommend a good one to break my smoothie cherry?"

Smooth.

Nick Russell - 2019

Nick stood back from the fight. Each of the past evil rangers clashing with one another. Nick stood alone at the center of the Colosseum. His eyes shifted across each of them, in shock of what laid before him.

"Guys! Seriously! We don't have to fight!"
Nick stated lifting his arms into the air, he waved them back and forth.

"We can kick his ass just b--OOF!"
Just as Nick was finishing his statement Hunter Bradley roundhouse kicked him in the chin.

"Shut the hell up Brumhilda.."
Hunter stated kicking Nick in the stomach, cracking one of his ribs.

"Aghk! Damn it!"
Nick curled up into a ball, holding his stomach.

"Get up an fight!"
Hunter demanded kicking Nick in the chest.

"Ghk!"
All of the air in Nick's lungs shot out of his mouth as Hunter kicked him. Nick could feel his sternum crack.

He curled up into a ball, and Hunter continued to kick him anywhere he could.

"Fight damn you! Fight!"
Hunter swung his left leg back to kick Nick in the back of the neck. But as he swung his foot forward to connect with Nick's neck, something stopped his foot. In surprise, Hunter jerked his foot back, but could not escape what had grasped his foot.

"What the hell?"
Questioned the blond thunder ninja, and almost instantly Hunter's legs were jerked out from under him. His body crashed to the dirt floor of the fighting arena.

It was at this time though, that Nick stood to his feet. His black cape flowing behind him, rustling in a dramatic breeze that had magically fallen over the arena. His chocolate brown eyes had tinted purple as his lips parted forming an ugly frown.

Nick's left hand rose, his fingers arched into a claw formation. Tainted by the rage in his heart, and the desire to survive Nick struck out toward Hunter grasping the center of Hunter's uniform and hoisting him off of the ground and into the air.

"Bruises huh?"
Nick's right hand rose, and collapsed into a tight, white knuckled fist. He struck forward, driving his fist directly into Hunter's throat, crushing the blond's wind pipe. Mercilessly dropping him afterward.

"Ughk! Ghkh! Ghknn!"
Hunter grasped his throat trying to breath, his body squirmed and throbbed in the dirt, like a snake that had just had it's head crushed. Horrifying noises echoed from the man's crushed wind pipe.

Nick turned away, just in time to land Blake's fist square in his nose. This threw Nick back onto his right foot, he skidded a few inches before finally bending over midway of his back. Nick snuffed for a moment, as blood tripped from his nostrils, his nose obviously broken.

"You're next.."
Nick uttered standing up, and leaning back on his right foot once more.

"Bring it on Peter Pan.."
Blake taunted lifting his hands into the air and motioning for Nick to come at him.

Nick rushed forward, though even the power of a Ninja couldn't withstand the awesome might of The Light. Nick slapped both of Blake's arms away, and while Blake was spread wide open for attack, Nick threw both of his fists forward. His fists landing against Blake's sternum, cracking several ribs as shock waves launched from Nick's knuckles.

"Fuuhhhhh!"
Blake choked as the air in his lungs escaped.

The kinetic energy exchange from Nick's punch sent Blake flying through the air. However, the Phoenix Ranger hadn't finished with Blake yet. Nick rushed forward, and continued to slam his fists into Blake's chest. Blood trailing from Nick's nose down his cheek as his face tightened up forcing his energies through his fists. Such rapid fire punching kept Blake hanging in the air as Nick chased after him delivering punishing blow after punishing blow.

"Fuu! Fuu! Uhh! Uhh! Fuu!"
Blake choked, each punch seemed to push him closer and closer to just simply puking up his own stomach.

Finally Nick ceased his punching, but grasped Blake in the same motion of reaching out to punch him. Using the force propelling Blake away from him, Nick waved Blake over the top of his head, and savagely slammed Blake head first into the dirt floor of the arena. The ground cracked under Blake's head, causing it to collapse further into the ground, but only by a few inches. Blake slowly rolled onto his side, his neck obviously broken, if not fractured.

"Bruises.. That's all.."
Nick stated walking out of the crater he'd created using Blake's head. However as he reached the surface level of the arena, he came face to face with Astronema.

"You're it, huh?"
He questioned, lifting his forearm and gauntlet to his face and using his gauntlet to clear the blood from his upper lip.

Lena Ford-Matthews
New York City - NYU - 2024

What a day this was turning out to be already, surprisingly Lena hadn't succumb to a throbbing headache over all the 'excitement' and to top it off her cell phone beeped trying to distract her. She continued talking to her mother, helping her regain consciousness whilst trying to fit the pieces together in her head as to what exactly happened. Lena leant closer to Kira, only to be startled at the quick snap of Kira's eyes opening, almost a comparison to those in horror movies "Mom!" Lena placed her hand on her heart as it raced in shock, she smiled slightly "Are you ok? We kind of had a fall" Lena tried to explain the situation but obviously Kira already knew the story. Kira gazed up at her, dumbfounded to why she lay on the floor and Lena remained perfectly fine "How fortunate that you went unharmed Lena" The tone in Kira's voice provoked Lena to think deeply as to what she meant, however she just shrugged her shoulders and figured that her mother wasn't making any sense at all.

Lena helped her mother to her feet, both slightly stumbling from aching knees and weak ankles but that was just a small price to pay. Lena dusted herself down from the muck and dust that now found its way onto her shorts "I feel way dirty now, I don't even think they sweep the stairwells" Shuddering Lena searched through her hair for the black boppy pin which kept her hair in place and yanked it out, discovering the sticky mess of blood that covered it. She reached up and ran her hand through where the pin should of been "Who knew something so small could do that" At this moment anyone would think that Kira would rush to her side and check on her cut, instead she remained stood glaring at her. Lena burst out into laughter trying to recall everything "It was my fault really, maybe I'm drunk!" From nowhere a hand traveled quickly across the side of her cheek with a stinging bruise feeling to follow. Lena's eyes widened, her hand cupping her cheek in shock, what did she do to deserve that? Sure joking about that never pleased Kira, not since her parents split up at least " What the hell is wrong with you?!" Screaming at Kira seemed like a good idea at the time, until apparent rage began to build in Kira's eyes, her face turning crimson and her hands clenching into fists. Suddenly Kira lunged forward towards Lena and her instincts forced her to side step out the way and duck underneath Kira's arm. Boom! Now everything made sense! Giving her mother no more chances to basically attack her Lena listened to her gut and ran.

Taking the stands in an almost 'flying' frenzy, Lena leapt down two floors missing several steps in her haste. Punching her way through one of the exists, she kept her composure as best she could and proceeded to walk through the crowds of students, knowing her mother wouldn't create a scene infront of so many people. Ignoring the stares and chatter of those around her as she passed, knowing the gash on the back of her head was apparent to anyone who bothered to look, Lena whispered careless thoughts to form a 'bubble', drowning the noise out. Lena decided her best option was to take the staff exit to the back of the building which on occasions appeared to be empty at all times so luckily no one, especially Kira, would notice her.

Remembering her phoned beeped a few times only ten minutes ago, Lena flicked open the cover to see '1 new message' so pushing the button Lena scanned over the text. Of course Clint would soon be wondering where Lena was, they would have a conversation nearly every morning, unfortunately today was not that day. Twisting her core ever so slightly Lena peered around the corner at the back entrance, hoping Kira wasn't on her tail already before making her call. Instead of getting straight through to Clint she was passed over to his voicemail so she had no other option but to leave a message "Alive for now! My mom's gone...I don't know, nuts! I'm not even sure where the hell I am I just ran out the back of campus, call me when you get this" Snapping her phone shut and slipping it into her inside jacket pocket, Lena stopped running to catch her breath. Had her world come crashing down all of a sudden? Her mother was acting extremely strange, mostly in a violent way but no matter what came between them Lena would always unconditionally love her.

Gyronic
Orbiting Earth - Gyronic’s Ship – Throne Room, The Training Grounds – 2019

“Yes we shall.” He said pleasantly in a way that would undermine anyone but his advisor and general.

As the former Empress of Evil Astronema took the final blow to render her opponent unconscious the door burst open grabbing his attention. He turned his eyes to stare hard and angrily at the one who dared to interrupt this moment of triumph. He had specifically posted guards outside to keep everyone out. He was mildly surprised to see his half alien half robotic bookkeeper Trysi approaching with a panicked look on his face.

“What is it? Can’t you see that we are in a middle of something?” He asked his servant icily.

Trysi gulped and dipped down over and over groveling at his master’s feet. “Forgive me my Lord I come bearing news and information you must know now.” He retrieved the book from his bag he carried and flipped through the pages. “It concerns the Morphing Grid, Macina, Mr. Oliver, and a flux in the timestream that could very well unravel your plans.” He took a deep breath his eyes wide with fear.

Gyronic sat back his chair and nodded with a wave of his hand. “Go on Tyrsi…”

“The good news is Tommy Oliver is close to being captured Phesila is managing that currently. She’s found what timeline he is in. But I regret that Macina is apparently tapping into the grid she’s already accomplished creating one device to become a ranger and I believe she is working on a second for her human pet.” His voice dripping with contempt

Gyronic’s eyes narrowed he despised Adrian the young man had proven to be a barrier between them and Macina since she’d arrived on the planet already saving her once when he'd been so close to capturing her. The human was a pest and a nuisance that somehow always managed to hold his own despite only being mortal and not even a ranger. “What else is there to say she can’t function alone without a complete team that princess doesn’t have a chance. You did make sure that no other group of individuals can access the morphing grid to create a new team?” If Trysi didn’t get that done then his little scientist would be skating on very thin ice.

“Yes of course my Lord. But well there is a problem.” Seeing the warning glare Trysi rambled on. “As you know I am keeping track of the morphing grid since you started working to taint it and destroy the goodness in all the rangers…”

“But we’ve only succeeded in the former evil rangers yes yes I know that…” He motioned to the battle at hand.

“Well I was looking through it and suddenly nine power signatures came online. They are doormat right now and we can’t access the morphing grid to find who they are since Zordon made it nearly impossible to penetrate. I do know these are new signatures and they are a potential threat.”

“WHAT? MORE RANGERS? I JUST FINISHED RETRIEVING THE TEAMS OF THE PAST AND FUTURE HOW CAN THERE BE MORE!” He fumed slamming his arm rest in frustration as he rubbed his chin. These rangers were becoming a thorn in his side and his chances of conquering the world always ended with power rangers. He hissed angrily clenching his fists.

Trysi shifted to hide his face not wanting to be in the place of the wrath. “Calm down my Lord they are still not functioning as rangers. But they will be soon and when they do it will be much more difficult to find when they step down from their powers. However there is good news…” he smiled slightly proud of himself for at least bringing something to him. Placing a timeline data screen in front of him nine colors blinked dimly slowly getting brighter. Under them read the date and the location of disturbance. “We do know where, and when they are going to have this happen.”

Gyronic seemed pleased with this and nodded as he put on a calm air once more. “Yes that is excellent news. You are dismissed now Trysi go back to playing with those power rangers if you like.” He waved him off knowing his bookkeeper and scientist would just love to experiment on their captives as long as it was mild he’d allow such a thing. Then again that Red Mystic Ranger needed some work to make sure that his light side stayed dormat.

Turning back to Kowna he nodded. “Well it seems we are having some trouble and it is mainly caused by Macina I suppose you suspect that. And I know you want to drag that Henian Princess back here by her hair. So I leave you and your generals to create some havoc in Angel Grove that will more then likely bring her into the open.” He shook his head. “If she is left there then there is a small chance she’ll be able to create enough morphers to go against me I cannot have her creating a new power ranger team. Since she was your fiancée I suppose you have a few things you’d like to discuss with her.” He cackled slightly. “Don’t worry your new team of rangers will be prepared for you once you get back. I’m saving a very special one for you also…”

Once Kowna had left Gyronic called in a group of bios who all stood numbly at attention for him as he was the only one who could completely control them. He turned and begun chanting in an ancient tongue the pulled a small silver pouch out of his pocket and begun throwing darts at them one by one they turned into beasts with scales and animal like quality all in different types ranging from bear to alligator yet they moved about with precision growling as it prepared for their prey. He grinned in satisfaction pulling a time cube out of his robe and connecting it to the device Trysi left him one by one numbers flashed before his eyes and the enhanced bios disappeared to do his bidding.

Macina
Mountains Outside of Angel Grove – Power Center – Mission Control – 2019

She stared at the screen in awe and confusion. It couldn’t be there was no possible way but there it was. Nine signatures in a multitude of colors at different places in the spectrum of the timestream. Could these be Power Rangers? No that wasn’t possible but there was something strange about this flux. She typed in a few keys to look over the coordinates for one thing they seemed to be coming from children of the rangers but that couldn’t be possible unless the morphing grid was protecting them but then why would that be so without protecting all of the ranger offspring there was certainly more then this.

She glanced at her partner who looked on with mild interest. She smiled where would she be without Adrian and his expertise. “Do you think this could possibly be important Adrian?” She asked him thoughtfully.

Adrian leaned over to squeeze her hand gently and then nodded. “I believe so Macina and where there is a flux there’s bond to be Gyronic and his troops.” He scratched his chin thoughtfully. “Hmm I might be able to rewire their coordinates and teleport these kids here. It would be worth a shot don’t you think?”

“Yes it would be. Perhaps we’ll get to the bottom of this.” Macina nodded her blue eyes brightening a little more to their former shade. Maybe there was hope. Then she noticed the alarms going off and rushed to the screen only to find what she feared. She turned back to glance at Adrian who was working on isolating the power signatures.

“Kowna and his two generals have appeared in different areas of Angel Grove. Kowna is in the Park, Ryuu is at the School, and Ortiso is at the mall. This just adds a lot of bite to things.” Adrian said with a weak chuckle.

Macina sighed and grabbed her light morpher off the table. “I’m going to go see if I can hold off Kowna.”

Adrian’s eyes widened as he shook his head in protest. “No Macina you shouldn’t he’ll hurt you or worse. There’s a chance Gyronic could win this time then you’d be in their clutches!” He couldn’t allow her to go his dear friend he’d grown really fond of her. But he knew a personal outlook on things would never work with her she had to be told logically.

“ I must Adrain!” Macina said firmly. “If I don’t then more citizens will get hurt. Besides I’ve been over staying my welcome on Earth anyways.” She twisted her morpher outward and held it in front of her chest then twisted it pointing it to the sky as she gave out her signature cry. “POWER OF LIGHT! I CALL ON YOU!” In a flash a form fitting purple and white spandex outfit complete with a hawk like helmet engulfed her body and left behind the Purple Ranger. With a nod to Adrian she clicked on her communicator and in a flash of purple she teleported out of the Power Center.

Adrian cursed her stubbornness and went to monitor her as the lights begun to travel through the timestream towards their respective destination. Hopefully they could figure this all out soon.
Gyronic
Orbiting Earth - Gyronic’s Ship – Throne Room, The Training Grounds – 2019

The vivacious overlord watched the gladiator battle and grinned in pure enjoyment at the carnage and chaos that was being brought forth by his potentials. So many to choose from it was to bad he couldn’t just put them all in his army. But then again it would never work that way there would be to many to try to control and they all had the possibility of turning on him. No he trusted Kowna with three at the most but he only needed two from here. His champion was coming soon enough after all the rainbow ranger had been through so many forms he knew many sides of the battlefield and fought the longest making him the best choice for this position. Yes Tommy Oliver would be his.

Once the fight finished and the other rangers were dragged off to receive rough medical treatment, Gyronic strided up to the two rangers that pervailed he clapped his hands in praise allowing them a little moment of glory before they went to their duties. “Well done Red Mystic and Pink Galaxy you are my champions.” He raised his hand and a bio approached awkwardly carrying their respective morphers as each ranger picked them up. “You will be able to morph into rangers soon enough but only when I deem it time. As soon as Kowna comes back he shall be training you.”

He glared icily at them. “Do not think you can become anything more of less of what you are. You are mine so if you try to fight out of countenance you will be punished. Depending on the number of injuries you gave certain rangers today is the amount you will receive in flogging nothing severe as them. But I do think you need to learn your place and not act out of countenance again.” The problem with evil energies was they needed to be controlled or they try to break away from control and become too deadly and possible threat to him. Thus his new Evil Rangers needed to learn their place and be stabilized in their darkness before he’d allow them to go create mischief and carnage on Earth.

He watched Juq lead away the two now evil children that he’d created and he couldn’t help but be pleased at his accomplishment.

Phesila
Reefside

Sneaking was one of her specialties and it was something she took great pride in. She was after trained in the art of ninja along with being a bounty hunter. It made things easier for her. She smirked slightly as she saw her target dressed in pink she was drying a dish and seemed to have not noticed her. ‘Perfect.’ She crept up behind the lady and pulled out the prepared tranquilizer. Only to have it knocked out her hands by an elbow she hissed as it came down to hit her in the eye. Hastily Phesila backed away to retrieve the condiments only glancing up in time to see the former second pink ranger Katherine Hillard in a battle stance ready for her.

She should have expected this from a former ranger. She retrieved the needle and turned to face the wary eyed female popping her shoulders. “Well, well I didn’t think there was much fight left in the old Kitty Kat.” She cackled slightly the shifted her weight prepared. “Come on bring it on Kitty I need your cooperation either willingly or un-willingly.” She came at the ex ranger in full fury only to have her shots blocked at every turn by the ranger as she defended herself.

“Not bad pinky maybe you’ll prove more useful then a thought.” She noticed Kat grabbing for her zeonizer and shook her head with a huff. “Oh no you don’t.” She grabbed the syringe out of holster again and tossed it aimed dead center for Kat’s neck. It hit and she collapsed. Phesila nursed her injuries lightly muttering about the ways she could skin a cat but knew she needed her alive. She clapped her hands and her sidekick appeared from his camouflage in the wall to pick up the girl.

“So now what?” He asked still not fully getting her reasoning.

Phesila smirked slightly placing a holographic note threatening Tommy to come the caves outside the city and fight for his wife or he’d never see her again. It was the usual threat and it always seemed to work the best. “Now we wait for Number Five to rescue Number One.”

Macina
Angel Grove – The Park – 2019

The Purple Ranger emerged from the teleportation in a flash of purple. She went into battle stance as the former princess faced her opponent. "Well Kowna what are you waiting for? I'm right here." She was slightly relieved that she was currently in ranger garb it gave her more of an edge against Gyronic's finest general and her match. He seemed somewhat surprised to see a Purple Ranger but obviously knew it was her. She pulled out her Hawk saber and ran towards him with it ready slicing at him in one motion letting sparks come off his armor. "That was for Henia!" She proclaimed then came at him again with vegence. "And this..." she ran at him prepared to strike. "Is for me!"

Nicole Russell
Rootcore

The shock soon grew to much for Nicole as she was bodily thrown by her own father Nick across the room. She groaned in pain she tried to get up but found it difficult. She couldn’t fathom what was happening but her survival instinct kicked in and she gathered water into her hands using it as a projectile to hit her father only problem was fire could easily burn through water when it was brought out in a large dosage at least magic fire could. He seemed so tainted and she could have sworn his eyes were burning purple. All of rangers were now fighting each other while Clare and Alexandria sought refuge under a table. Nicole rolled out of the way of Madison’s attack. This was not right no something was wrong. This all had to be a bad dream. A ripple blurred her parents image then a wave passed through and she felt a tingle as the parents vanished slowly like sand into nothingness.

Nicole gave out a cry and reached out to where they’d been but found them nowhere. Thinking first she hurried to the xentome and begun muttering some spells to bring them back. Sparks flew about and she could vaguely see something like her mother in chains but maybe it was a trick of light because as soon as the image came into being it vanished. The spell hadn’t worked. ‘I can’t give up I have to keep trying.’ She thought determinedly scanning through each word to make sure she did it right. Nicole closed her eyes and tried once more only this time for a white flash to hit her in the chest making her cry out in pain. The book was now encased in energy she tried to reach for it but received another shock through her system. She shivered not liking where this was going.

It only got worse when four ugly looking creature’s that strangely looked like beasts that resembled her parents ranger powers came at her. 'Oh no my spell backfired' She ducked away from them doing a back flip then pulled out. “ICE FREEZE.” She cried pulling water out nothingness as it hit the creature thrusting them back but this did not stop them oh no it only made them come faster. She trying using a shielding spell “Gawit Yuri Preso” and a shield formed around her for a moment till the one creature with a phoniex hesf came at her blasting Nicole's barrier till she felt herself weakening from the loss of the shield.A claw went at her trying to catch her in it’s grasp but it only managed to grab onto her dark brown hair and pull hard. She cried out in pain and dipped forward pulling her feet into the air in a weak but impacting kick that pushed it back into the wall. She drew in a deep breath trying to regain her barrings but they came at her again. Panting she could feel her energy depleeting she’d never had to use so much of her magic at one time.

It was then her eyes caught on to something a blue light swirled in the distance it blinked in and out but almost seemed to be beckoning her. She felt entranced and walked towards it ignoring the creatures. She touched the light and felt an accepting feeling inhabit her entire body and her eyes begun to glow sky blue. Then she felt her mind float into nothingness and her eyes roll back in her head as the portal sucked her in. She didn’t even here the screams of protest an ancient power whispered to her wrapping her in a protective cocoon of blue energy as she was transported to her future and her destiny.

Kowna, Ryuu, Ortiso

On Board Gyronic's Ship 2019

Kowna left Gyronic's side and immediately left to find his best generals Ryuu, Who of the two was the Brains behind the operation where as Ortiso was the strength and power and a master with a sword. Kowna was happy when he found these two, they proved themselves time and time again, prevailing when all hope seemed lost for them, each time they came back stronger than ever and their bond made them so close people would call them brothers. That is why Kowna valued them so highly, they are a formidable unit, that not many can beat, only Kowna or Gyronic could beat them 1 on 2 but just barely. He entered their room, the walls were covered in weapons and maps to represent their strength and battle strategy.

"Come gentleman it is time to wreak some havoc, in Angel Grove and time too pull Macina from hiding, once and for all.", "Of Course sir, Macina will be difficult to defeat though, It will take all our expertise.", "It is as Ryuu says, it shall take a massive effort from not just us but you as well to defeat her.".

"That gentleman is why we won't be trying to kill her, we just want to pull her out into the open. From their I can handle it, I just need you two to create some havoc and destruction.", "Of Course Sir!" they both responded.

All 3 teleported down to Angel Grove and the Havoc began.

Angel Grove

People where running scared as Kowna, Ryuu and Ortiso rampaged through the streets destroying things left, right and center. "Macina, Macina, come on out from whatever rock you are hiding under!"

The Purple Ranger emerged from the teleportation in a flash of purple. She went into battle stance as the former princess faced her opponent. "Well Kowna what are you waiting for? I'm right here.", "Ryuu, Ortiso, keep up the destruction, continue on without me, this my fight.", Macina then launched a vicious attack on Kowna, pulling out her Hawk Sabre she charged at him, attempting to cut through his armour, with such a useless blade was pathetic, "That was for Henia!", Kowna paused for a moment. "And this..." she ran at him prepared to strike. "Is for me!", second before impact Kowna grabbed the sword and jerked it out of her hands, "Why waste your time Macina, when you know that you can not defeat me? You may be slowing me down yes but their is no point because in the end it will not matter, because we shall win."

Mai Trueheart Oliver

Smooth.

Rylan Anthony Hart- Angel Grove 2004

He took another sip from his smoothie as he watched a women enter the juice bar. He cocked his head to the right side as he watched her make her way into the juice bar. He was amazed as he was captivated by her eyes...he only saw them for a brief second but something about them drew him in. Which was unlike him...he wasn't a ladies man, nor did he pretend to be...so he instantly straightened up and kind of tenses up when he saw her making her way towards him. "Oh...god...please don’t sit down please don't sit down please don't sit down..." He was muttering under his breath as he heard the seat close to his creak as if someone was getting onto it. He slowly opened his right eye and peered to the beautiful women next to him. "Oh....great" He said as he felt his cheeks and ears get warm.

But then something completely and totally unexpected happened...she used one of the weirdest lines she had ever heard and he couldn't help but burst out laughing. Once he composed himself he turned and locked eyes with her and gave her a warm smile "Well...I would have to say...since you never had a smoothie I would get a kiwi-strawberry smoothie. Your taste buds will beg for more" He said as he gave her a wink and took another sip of his drink. He then held out his hand towards hers.

"I'm Rylan..." He was then cut short when he saw his mom walk into the juice bar. He was about to say something when all of a sudden she vanished...like a fart in the wind. He quickly got up and ran to the spot where she was but she was gone. "No...No...No...Where did she go" He yelled as he probable looked like a crazy person but he could have sworn he saw his mom and then she was gone. He then ran back to the counter and left some money and turned to the girl. "umm sorry...something has came up...and I am losing my mind apparently....umm...but nice meeting you maybe I can pop another cherry...or I mean uhh...ohh god...never mind" He said as he took off running as he made his way towards the exit some creepy goons appeared out of nowhere. He then felt a strong hand grab him and fling his backwards. Soon he came crashing to a stop on a table spilling smoothies and french fries all over the place. Rylan groaned as he turned to one side. "Ohh...owwwchie.....good lord...." He said as he tried to get up but found the wind knocked out of him and he was having a hard time breathing. But somehow with the help of a chair as a stand he got up right. "Today is...just weird he muttered as he was finally able to catch his breathe and size up the opponent who quiet honestly scared the crap out of him.

- Vanessa 'Vanny' Lo
Home

Vanny watched as her mother left in her own car and went down the street. It took Vanny a minute for her mind to connect to her feet and walk back to her own car. She got in and placed the keys in the ignition and pulled out of where she had walked. She drove a little slow since it was dark and no sooner made her way home within fifteen minutes. She pulled in and parked behind where her mother had and noticed her father was home as well. Vanny pulled out her school bag and her water bottle and went up the house. She realized she had forgotten her keys there this morning so she had no way to get in. She knew since her parents were home she would just knock. And so she did and she stood there and waited…. and waited. No one came. Where were they? She then rung the doorbell and cried out, “Mom? Dad? I’m locked out.” Still no one came. She was a little worried then and walked around back and used the key they hid.

As she got into the house, there was no sound. She called for her parents again and there was no answer again. She saw her mother’s purse on the table and her father’s laptop case on the hallways table stand, but no sign of them. Now she was scared. “Mommy?” she said silently to herself. She quickly scanned the house and looked everywhere. There was no sign of a fight or struggle. It was like they had just disappeared in thin air. How could that be possible? She when and sat on the couch deciding what to do. An idea then popped into her head. Her father had told her that if there was anything wrong, to call the numbers on the pink sheet in the desk. She went into his work room and found the sheet:

“Mack Hartford
555-678-2345

Veronica "Ronny" Robinson
789-898-9845”

She picked up the phone and dialed the number. There was no answer. This couldn’t have been good. She then dialed the second number. No answer. “Okay… now something is seriously up,” she said to herself. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Thinking it was her parents she ran to the door and opened it. Bad idea.

As she opened the door she was tackled but some weird looking being and she wacked her head hard on the floor. “Gah!” she cried out and looked up while rubbing it. There were 6 of these things standing before her, and they didn’t look friendly. So no use using that approach. She quickly got up so she could try to defend herself. They then charged at her and she ran up the stairs and they followed her. She then jumped over the banister and ran into the kitchen to see if she could find a weapon. She ran through the drawers frantically, she found some knives but they were plastic. Her mother just had to go on a save the earth spree didn’t she? There wasn’t anything she could use. The weird creatures caught up to her and she ran out the back door into the yard. She jumped over a lawn chair and continued to run. As she ran, something in front of her began to form, and strange light of some sort. She didn’t want to take a risk and so she kept running, little did she knew what she was running into.

Edge - In Orbit enroute to Earth - 2019

While in orbit on the Astro Megaship II, the crew meticulously worked their stations towards the destination of their mission the planet Earth. In the captains chair sat a young man with a standard red and white recon uniform on was keeping an eye on their progress. "DECA what's our ETA?" Edge said while a computerized voice spoke "About 30 minutes out Captain." "Copy That DECA." he said. "Captain we're getting a visual of Earth now." Edge nodded and ordered "All Hands to Condition Red, were entering Earths atmosphere, show me that your training was an asset to the team." The Megaship started to vibrate and shake very loudly. "25......15......10......5.....we've successfully entered Earth's atmosphere, now scanning for anomalies." A technician named Breaker said.

Earth - Angel Grove

Moments later Breaker said "Captain, we've pinpointed three anomalies to a little town called Angel Grove. Shall we start there." Edge nodded and said "Hmmm Angel Grove....that place always seems to be in the middle of everything no matter what. Alright let's get over there. Engines to Maximum." Within seconds the Megaship bolted off towards Angel Grove. "Sir it seems a battle is raging down there. Also a ranger is in action." "Huh interesting, purple one as well.." All of a sudden alarms started blaring! "Status report!" "Captain we got our own problems it seems the enemies below have detected our presence and started firing at us." "Get us clear and land in a safe zone. Hawk I'm counting on you." "Roger that sir." Hawk said as he gave a thumbs up. He quickly surveyed the area and picked a huge parking lot not far from any of the action.

"Sir which anomaly do we tackle first, one in the park, one in the mall and one in the school?" Edge thought about his 1st officers question. "Echo, is school in session?" Edge asked "Either way the civilians safety are our top priority." he said as Echo nodded. "I'll get the troopers ready." Echo said running off. "I think we're gonna tackle the big fish in the park. Echo are the troops ready?" Edge asked while checking his battle gear. "Sir yes sir! I got a squad of 9 guys ready!" Echo replied. Before hey all gathered at the access hatch leading to the outside Edge took a quick trip to the vault and took out the powerless Space Morphers just in case he needed them. "Echo I want you to monitor the battle from the bridge." He said, Echo nodded before walking back to the bridge. They stepped outside and saw the carnage of the battle between the ranger and kowna.

"Alright secure a perimeter around the park, make sure no one gets inside the park while this battle is raging on." Edge said as the troops nodded and made their way to secure a perimeter. Edge took out a flash grenade, got into a prime position between the ranger and the general. He waited for a lapse in the battle before priming the flash grenade. "Purple Ranger close your eyes now!" Edge called out letting the grenade fly bouncing in front of Kowna as it activated momentarily blinding him...only to piss him off even further. Edge got out his twin beam pistols and ran towards the Purple Ranger. "You alright?" He asked as he kept the pistols trained on the general. "I'm Edge of the KO-35 Space Recon Team, we have you surrounded with snipers and the park is in total lockdown. You have nowhere to run now General."

Clint Hartford

Standing in front of the counter, Clint only took a second to decide he wanted to go with the usual cafe latte. He announced his order, and soon after, a rather loud ringing noise rent the air and Clint quickly reached into his jeans pocket for his cell phone. He looked at the caller ID and sighed. Pressing the green button, he held the cell phone to his ear to greet his multi-millionaire of a father. For some reason, Clint wasn't as partial to family calls lately as he might've been when he was younger. After the usual pleasantries and a few snide remarks that were bound to result from the first contact in a week, Mack finally asked Clint if he wanted to accompany him on a trip. Clint hesitated, remembering the time when he'd gotten lost and nearly mauled by the wild animals inhabiting the jungle.

"Eh, I don't know dad..."

"Come on. You've got to get over it sometime. Besides, it'll be fun, just like the old times. I'm pretty sure you can spare a weekend for some with your old man."

Clint laughed at that part. "Alright, we'll see. You'd better...."

"Actually, never mind." The phone hung up after the suddenly curt statement.

"Hello? hello?" Clint repeated the words for a while before shutting the phone, puzzled at what had occurred. Right before his father seemingly cut him off, there had been a short static noise, which far as he knew, wasn't possible with cell phones. Not to mention that his father had never cut a call short, for any reason whatsoever. The lack of closure worried him slightly, but he figured he might as well check what had happened. If his hunch was wrong, he'd end up looking foolish but he didn't really care about that. Clint forgot his coffee and stepped outside, making a return call but reaching nobody. He then rang up the Hartford mansion to see if Spencer had any information, albeit to no avail. Next he turned to voice-mail to check if either Mack or Spencer had left him a message.

He came across Lena's voice message and a worried frown spread across his face as he listened to her bizarre tail. Everything seemed to be taking on a weird turn of events, and apparently not just with him. He was already on his way to the campus which was a short distance away. He quickened his pace as he headed for the back, simultaneously ringing Lena up on her phone. He half expected this call not to connect either considering what an odd 15 minutes it had been so far, but to his relief, she did pick up the phone.

"Hey, where are you?" he asked, though by that time, he didn't need to ask. He could spot her some 50 feet away. Clint waved at her but before he could move an inch, he was roughly pushed to the side. Clint landed roughly on his right arm a good couple of yards from where he'd been standing. "Hey!" he shouted, annoyed as he made it back to his feet, brushing his clothes. He raised his eyes to look at the perpetrator, which was either a very good costume or simply inhuman. Clint took a step back. "Whoa..." was all he could muster at the hideous sight. He turned his head sideways to where Lena had been standing, but his vision was blocked by the ugly barrier of another huge similar creature. The only difference between the two seemed to be the animal their upper body seemed to have been designed upon. It was an unnerving sight for someone who had never been face to face with a monster himself. Clint was still recovering his wits when more of the creatures appeared, and charged at him.

Lena Ford-Matthews
New York-NYU-2024

Slowing down her pace Lena turned on the balls of her feet, glaring at the campus whilst biting her lower lip, Maybe you're just confusing yourself, mother has never been such a spiteful bitch before now I must have jumped to conclusions...right?. She brushed her hands through her hair, mostly making sure the bleeding had now stopped, unfortunately the stress of actually touching the wound made the blood flow quicker. Gross Dropping down to the ground so that she was resting her entire weight on her ankles, Lena snapped her neck to the side at the sight of Kira racing around the corner. "Oh no here we go again" Her voice became shaky, evidently showing signs of nervousness. At first there was no signs of anything wrong, until Kira began to fade then all of a sudden completely disappear "Mom!" Lena screamed towards nothingness, the spot where Kira once stood now became empty. She reached out infront of her, hoping to feel some kind of heat source that represented her mother "Nothing" Lena sighed in defeat and be wilderness, only for her slight depression to be cut short with anxiety.

Still with her eyes peeled on the far end of the alley way Lena cautiously backed into the wall, taking this time to get in some much needed breathing space. She clutched tightly to her bag, the one thing that actually kept her up right and ever so slightly balanced. She took her phone out from her bag once again to check the signal, maybe Clint was having issues with his phone so that would explain why it was taking him so long to call back "Come on Come on!" Lena cursed him, the phone must of had a sixth sense though because seconds later the screen turned blue, shaking in her hand. Eager to take the call, praying it was either Kira or Clint, saying he was on his way over, "Oh Clint! I'm...like here" Lena replied turning around where she spotted Clint ahead of her somewhat fifty feet away.

She snapped her phone shut and shoved it back into the bag, missing the action that was taking place. Out of nowhere a shadow stood over her, one that would make her day just that much more worse. A hit came painfully hard to Lena's cheekbone, certainly to be followed by heavy bruising to come. Smashing her back into the side of a large recycling container Lena slumped face down on the cold gravel ground " Is this world going crazy?!" Slamming the palms of her hands against the surface showed Lena's fury, the anger building within the pit of her gut that no one wanted to see. " What the hell-" She screamed at the hideous creatures that stared down at her, there was definately a connection with all these weird events.

The Bio surged up, taking Lena by her shoulders and threw her against the wall. It grabbed her again but she pushed its arms away, punched the Bio in the face, followed by kneeing him. Taking the opportunity, Lena then rushed around behind him and kicked him into the wall. Landing against a dumpster, it turns quickly and backhands a now stunned Lena, causing her to stumble forward toward the light. A second Bio sent another punch at Lena, then picked her up and slammed her down on top of a dumpster. "Clint there's too many of them!" Lena called out wondering if he could even hear her in the distance among his own brawl. Lena kicked the bio, cartwheeled off the dumpster and kicked him again, then again, and then yet again.

Whilst they now seemed to be preoccupied with licking their wounds, Lena leapt to her feet, racing off down the alley to where Clint was, thinking she could help. The creatures turned their attention from Clint to her, forcing her to take her steps backwards rather than forwards. Continuing to walk backwards away from these, well monsters, Lena was not aware of the bright yellow light that shone behind her. "Ok calm down...can't we...talk about this?" Waving her hands in the air as a sort of white flag Lena unknowingly and unwillingly stepped into the light that consumed her body.

Clint Hartford
New York - NYU - 2024

Before Clint could even think, a Bio knocked him back and he landed on his butt. The hard impact jarred him to the bone, but the ruthless approach of the next bio caused him to duck underneath. The kick missed him by inches, or it would’ve surely knocked his head off. Clint realized this was one of those moments where he’d have to be on his best to survive. He could move just fine and his movement wasn’t restricted, like it would be in a nightmare. Lucky or unlucky? Clint thought to himself. He pushed himself back to his feet and moved to his back foot, planning to study their moves and get an idea as to how they fought. But the bio he had just dodged, sucker punched him out of nowhere.

Clint staggered off to one side from the impact, but swiftly turned around, this time facing all of the hideous monsters. Annoyance took over the fear and he lashed out with a punch, which was blocked. Clint quickly followed it up with a kick to the creature’s midriff, sending it stumbling backwards. He triumphantly turned to face the next, but was knocked down again. Clint cursed under his breath. “I’m getting tired of getting knocked down again and again. Come on!” He then heard Lena’s voice and looked in her direction, concerned as the creatures turned their attention to her. “Oh crap.” The creatures advanced on her and Clint went on the offensive. He figured the creatures were too strong to punch through. Clint squared his creatures and attempted to bowl through the creatures. He succeeded with one or two, but then caught in the middle and had to collect his wits in order to escape the rather savage creatures.

Eventually, after much harrying and bruising, he made it to the other side, only to see Lena backing off into some weird yellowish light that consumed her entirely. Uttering a cry of exclamation, Clint ran to where she had been a few moments ago, but Lena was gone. Dismayed and at a complete loss for words, he put his hands on a nearby wall for support, not knowing what to do next. That, however, wasn’t his choice anymore. Barely a second had passed before the wall turned a silvery shade of light which grew brighter by the second. It grew so bright, Clint couldn’t look at it and tried to turn away, but his hand seemed to be glued to the silvery beam of light. Although this beam of light had a comforting effect, it wasn’t enough to overcome his instinct to protect himself from any possible danger. His efforts to free himself were in vain and the light enveloped him completely as Clint finally gave in to the silvery glow to take him wherever he was destined to be.

Rylan Anthony Hart: Angel Grove- Juice Bar

Rylan got to his feet the best he could but he could feel the shooting pain through his ribs a she tried to stand upright. He doubled over as he held his right side with his left arm. "Man...Someone is having a bad day" He said as he rolled out of the way of the attack and his adrenaline started to flow allowing him to move with out worrying about his ribs. He knew he would pay for it tomorrow...well if he made it to see tomorrow. He ducked a spinning round house kick and went for a leg sweep with all the force he could muster and brought the creature down and then delivered an elbow right into where he thought the sternum should be. Only to hear the creature let out what he thought sounded like a laugh and felt the bios hands grabbed him and toss him like a sack of puppies. Rylan flew through the air and hit the ground hard and skidded on the smooth surface of the floor.

"Ohh..." He rolled to one side and then remembered his ribs and rolled to the other when he felt more pain. "Oh....god seriously two broken ribs..." He complained to no one as he laid on his back trying to think things through only to see bios coming to surround him. "No...This isn't happening" He said as he kicked a bio away only to have another grab him and put him on the juice bar counter. "No...NO...come on this isn't the movies!" He yelled as the creature slide him down the counter smashing through smoothie glasses and people’s food and then he felt the creature let go and he was heading straight for the wall. Rylan closed his eyes and didn't even notice the flash of white light appear and as he was about to hit the wall engulf him.

Rylan was in the fetal position as he waited for contact with the wall and when nothing happened he opened one of his eyes and peered out to see he was in the floating in the air surrounded by a white light. He could no longer feel his ribs or any pain for that matter. Then both his eyes shot open as he felt himself touch the ground. Once he regained his senses he looked and found himself by some mountains. "Whoa...I'm sure I'm not in Kansas anymore..." Was all he muttered out and was glad no one else was around to hear him say something that stupid.

Question

Mai Trueheart-Oliver
Juice Bar

"I'm Rylan..."

Mai was about to reply with her name, when the incredibly attractive boy turned, seemed surprised, and ran out of his seat.

Mai was about to chase after him, totally to help and not because he was dreamy (Oh god, what's happening to me?), when he returned to the bar.

"umm sorry...something has came up...and I am losing my mind apparently....umm...but nice meeting you maybe I can pop another cherry...or I mean uhh...ohh god...never mind"

Mai fought the urge to giggle at how the boy seemed as flustered as she herself did. She reached out to put a comforting hand on his shoulder and offer to help, but then he was gone.

Not disappeared. He'd run toward the door.

Mai turned back toward the bar, deciding that she was probably better off deciding for herself what to order, when a loud crash sounded behind her. Turning back around, she saw:

some creepy goons appeared out of nowhere.

A... monster.

In Angel Grove, of all places.

Mai wasn't stupid. Her father was one of the longest serving Power Rangers of Angel Grove, and now his daughter was here. Clearly, this thing was after her, and it had attacked Rylan to get to her.

Suddenly, Mai understood her father's guilt complex just a bit better.

Mai's first instinct was to leap out of her seat and help the gorgeous gentleman, but she barely made it a few steps before a second creature appeared before her in a flash of light.

Instinctively, Mai stepped back, grabbing the bar behind her and vaulting herself gracefully to stand atop it. Looking around, she saw that most of the civilians other than Rylan and herself were booking it out of there, which alleviated a small bit of her guilt.

Mai spun quickly on her right toe, lashing out with her left foot for a devastating kick to the creature's head.

The creature barely seemed to notice, and shockwaves of pain traveled up Mai's leg. Goddamn, that was like kicking a boulder!

The beast swung at her, but Mai was faster. She leaped up to avoid the attack, only remembering at the last second that she was on top of a friggin' bar. She tumbled backward, landing square on her back behind the serving area.

For whatever reason, her first thought afterward was a fervant hope that Rylan hadn't seen that.

The creature leaped over the bar, hoping to smash Mai underfoot, but she was again too quick (for all the good her speed was doing her today). Mai rolled to the side as best she could in the cramped area, barely avoiding the creature's smashing feet. She rolled onto her shoulders and flipped to her feet, avoiding another swipe of the creature's arm in the process.

Mai curled her hand slightly and, ducking under a third swipe, jammed the heel of her hand into what she hoped to God was her opponent's nose. On a human, it would have been a killing strike. The enemy, however, only staggered slightly before lashing out and grabbing Mai by the throat, lifting her off her feet and cutting off her breathing.

Mai grabbed the enemy's wrist, but she was unable to fight it off effectively as it slowly choked the life out of her.

Thinking quickly, Mai leaped upward, using the monster's body as leverage as she flipped over his head, and used a judo move to flip the stronger monster over her. As the thing flew over her head, it released its grip on Mai's throat, and she happily choked in a mouthful of sweet, sweet oxygen.

The battle had lasted maybe ten seconds, and Mai was exhausted. The lack of oxygen combined with how much effort it had taken to flip the monster away sapped nearly every ounce of Mai's strength. As the monster rose again, seemingly unhurt, Mai fell to her knees.

I hope... Uncle David tells Dad... I'm sorry...

As Mai collapsed to the floor, unconscious, she didn't see a swirling vortex of black light engulf her. When it vanished, so did she.

Tommy Oliver

"Kat?"

Tommy poked his head in the kitchen, having smelled what he assumed was one of Kat's famour apple pies baking, but his wife was nowhere to be found. There was smoke coming from the oven, though.

Tommy opened the oven, and was confronted with a black pie crust that still smelled delicious. He grabbed a pair of oven mitts and pulled it out, dropping the pie plate into the sink and running some cold water.

Such a waste.

But... Kat never messed her pie up. She knew it was Mai's favorite, and Tommy loved it too.

Something smelled bad here, and it certainly wasn't the pie.

Scanning the kitchen with a trained eye, Tommy noticed a good dozen little details that were out of place.

A dishrag on the middle of the kitchen floor.

A clean and dried dish laying in the sink.

A spot of blood on the counter.

"Kat!" Tommy raced through the house, calling Kat's name and searching every room, hoping against hope that what he knew in his heart had happened hadn't really happened.

Returning to the kitchen, Tommy spied something he hadn't noticed at first. On the kitchen table was something he didn't recognize as belonging anywhere in the house. He cursed himself for limiting his investigation to things directly related to his wife and not everything.

As he picked up the device, a small hologram was emitted.

"Tommy Oliver. I have your wife. If you ever want to see her alive again, meet me alone at the cavern outside the city immediately. If you fail to comply, I fear your Kat may lose her ninth life."

Tommy didn't recognize the figure speaking, which was odd enough with the knowledge he had of most intergalactic crime thanks to the Hexagon, which was disturbing enough.

But not as disturbing as what would happen to Kat if he didn't comply.

Tommy raced out of his house, heading for his Jeep and breaking every speed limit imaginable as he drove to the entrance for the Reefside cave system, just outside the city limits. On the way, he at least had the presence of mind to call David, and ask him to watch out for himself and for Mai.

Mai, who was somewhere in the city, and David had no idea where.

Tommy cursed himself again, this time for letting his emotions put Mai in danger like this. If they hadn't fought, she'd still be with them. They could have fought whatever villain was threatening them together.

As a family.

Tommy arrived at the quarry the note had indicated. He parked his Jeep and got out, not even bothering to lock the doors. "Kat! Kat, I'm here! Where are you?"

Kowna, Ryuu, Ortiso and Macina

"Ryuu, Ortiso, get back here at once!!!", the shout could be heard for miles, suddenly the Generals had swiftly made a hole in the so-called defenses that Edge's men had set-up. "Boy's take them out leave no one alive, the one with attitude is mine." "Yes Sir!".

Explosions could be heard all around the park. Kowna turned back to face Macina and the newcomer, "Edge is it?, well Edge prepare to die!", charging forward sword held high Kowna roared, using all his might to swing his blade to slice the boy in half, but Macina put herself in harm's way, throwing herself in front of blade, it hit right across her back, she screamed out as her suit shattered away "Nooooooooooo!" and she was lying on the ground un-conscious, Kowna suddenly felt an energy in the air that was most unsettling, an energy Gate opened and out stepped a human, Lena Ford-Matthews. "This must be one of those energy signals, as must be the boy.". Suddenly a second gate opened and this time a monster stepped through. "Ahhh good, Rhinosaur, finish these 3 off will you." With that Kowna, Ortiso and Ryuu disappeared.

At this point a 3rd gate opened up which Adrian stepped through, picking up Macina and walking back through the gate he had entered the scene.

Edge

Edge watched the movements of the general carefully, he figured the defenses were sufficient in taking him down but boy was he wrong when the general had yelled so loud that he had to cover his ears so that his eardrums wouldn't shatter from the sheer force of the yell. He looked up to see two of his lackeys before they disappeared and overheard the voices of his comrades calling for help only to be slaughtered a second later. "Gold leader to Commander Edge, those monsters are taking out the snipers with ease...here he comes...." He listened as the transmission cut off. "Damn.." Edge muttered as he saw Kowna come running straight for him. He fired off a couple shots into his gut with the twin beam pistols to little effect. The general had leaped at him sword in hand starting to swing with all his might at him. Edge was momentarily blinded by the suns rays that bounced off the sword. For the second he lost, Edge knew that the end was near until he saw a flash of purple in front of him with sparks flying everywhere. "Did she really?" Edge said as he saw the unconscious body of Macina in front of him.

Edge quickly took out a smoke bomb and threw it at the feet of the general stopping him in his tracks. He carried her body to a more secure area when he saw the General come out of the smoke and make a beeline for them. "He doesn't give up I'll give him that." Edge remarked before an energy gate opened up between them and a young woman stepped out. "Interesting..." He said as two more gates opened up with a rhino stepping out of one and a man stepping out of the other by Macina and Edge. "Who are you? Oh I see...an ally of her I presume..." Edge said as the man didn't say a word and picked up Macina then stepped into the portal. That left Edge and the young lady against the Rhino after Kowna made his early exit.

Watching the Rhino make their way towards the two of them. "Nice of that guy to leave us...no matter, if we go down fighting so be it." Edge said getting back on his feet. He drew his twin beam pistols once again walking to where the young woman was. "I don't know about you, but I'm not just gonna sit around letting them have their way." He said firing off a few rounds into the Rhino's big boned body. Those shots only served to piss off the monster as it charged at Edge who rolled away like a matador. "Gotta do better than that." Edge boasted before seeing the Rhino took a huge breath before releasing a screeching yell that made the waves of wind straight at him. "Whoa!" Edge said flying backwards onto the ground.
