Thought I might post these here. They're plotlines for some of the stories we'll be acting in when the game begins. If anyone has suggestions for episodes, feel free to share them.
PSI Episodes:
1.) The Inner Circle - a controversial conspiracy theorist known for his claims that extraterrestrials manipulate the world government is murdered after a speech by an apparently superhuman force. When the PSI investigates, they find metallic residue on the body and link it to a Philadelphia tech company. Further snooping reveals the head of the company's membership in a secret order known as the "Inner Circle," which counts some of the most prominent men in the country among its members. But these men have changed greatly since their joining, and their order is planning an event that could bring about the end of humanity.
2.) Dark Arts - paintings made by a 60s counterculture leader are auctioned off after forty years of being hidden away. Trouble begins to emerge when the men and women who purchased the artwork begin to die in strange manners. Suspecting paranormal forces at work, the PSI looks into the background of the artist and learns he was a staunch advocate of hallucinogenic drug use, believing they gave him access to other worlds where his consciousness was expanded. Apparently, he found a way to link to the worlds he accessed on his drug trips through his paintings, and now the doors have been opened again, allowing unearthly horrors to enter our world.
3.) Zodiac - Constantine is troubled when he receives a letter addressed to him as the head of the PSI since no one is supposed to know that the organization exists. The message consists of a strange cypher and an audio CD by a man identifying himself as "The Zodiac", and daring the agents to stop his killing spree. How did this maniac learn about the PSI, and could he truly be the legendary Zodiac Killer? If so, will the agents be able to stop him and finally bring this madman to justice?
4.) The Monsters Among Us - an isolated community of lycanthropes is rocked by a series of brutal murders. Wary of seeking help from the state police, the town leader contacts the PSI to help them solve the case. When they arrive, the town is in an uproar, blaming "outsiders" for the killings. Even worse, some are speaking of venturing into the neighboring cities to exact their revenge on the humans. The PSI has to work quickly to learn who the murderer is; a monster-hunting human who learned the true nature of his victims, or someone within the community?

Here are some episode ideas I've had of my own.
5.) Roswell - In Roswell, New Mexico, a city thats known for the infamous 1942 Roswell Incident, has once again shown signs of extraterrestrial life, this time within a small rural family of five. The family is secured by the government and taken to a Quarantine area in Area 51 because of their exposure to the alien life forms. When PSI is called into the affair, they talk to the family and learn what has happened to them but realize that the area is not meant to be their home. Under orders, the PSI break into Area 51 to release the family but after a couple of days, they realize that the family has now infected all of the people of Roswell with a deadly unknown alien-based disease which is beginning to grow beyond that point. The government holds PSI responsible for the epidemic and tells them that they must travel to the origin planet to obtain the antidote for the disease, or they will hold all employees of the organization accountable for the murders of thousands of people. But when the PSI agents travel to the planet, they learn that the members arent as giving as they could have hoped....
6.) Time of Crisis - An accident has happened in Russia. Over a thousand nuclear weapons have been activated and are set to detonate in various places all over the world in a record of 3 days. There is no way to stop it. The nukes were set in place by deceased evil dictator, Joseph Stalin and he was the last person to hold the security codes to deactivate them. Without the codes, the nukes would go off and begin a nuclear holocaust. With no where else to turn, the Russian Government calls in the help of PSI with hopes that somehow they can obtain those codes. Fortunately, Constantine has begun the creation of a fully functional Time Machine, that can send the PSI agents back in time and allow them to shake Stalin for the information. The only problem is the only way they can return to the present is if they something in the past which will open a portal to the present. The only thing is, the change might alter the present in more unpleasant ways than one.
7.) Dark Fang - A string of disappearances have occured in different places all over America. This would be regular jurisdiction for the FBI except for the fact that those who disappeared were undercover vampires. When the PSI are called into attention, Constantine and the PSI Agents try to figure out what has happened to them. They soon discover the existence of the Dark Fang Clan, a clan of vampires who kill their own kind in order to use the vampire blood for selfish purposes. They soon find out the origin of the vampire and how the first of them, Dracula, was the love child of a demon and a human. The father of Dracula, a demon named Bellius, has been locked away in hell for centuries. The Dark Fang Clan are planning to use the large quantities of vampire blood that they have accumulated from the kidnapped vampires, in order to activate the portal to hell, located in a satanist temple in Germany, and unleash Bellius and his minions on the world. It is up to the PSI agents to rescue the vampires and stop the Clan from unleashing hell on earth.
8.) New Oxford - In the early 1980's, there was a metropolitan city known as New Oxford that thrived in prosperity. It wasnt until a biological weapon was used against the city and destroyed it. The ruins of it were quarantined and eventually abandoned. The city has since been forgotten by everyone but the american government with the use of special satellite and radio frequencies. A military team was put together known as the Scarecrow Unit, dedicated to keeping the Quarans, mutated creatures that have developed in the city, from escaping and reaking havoc on the outside world. Nearly 20 years later, members of the Unit have told officials that the mutants are planning on working together in a revolution that will set them free. The PSI are called into the situation and must enter the ruined city with the help of the Scarecrow Unit in order to put an end to the madness. While there, the Quarans kill the Unit members and hold the PSI agents hostage. However, while under captivity, the agents discover that the Quarans may have mutated bodies but not minds. They still have the minds of humans and they know how badly they are being treated by those that they once called their own. They only want to create their revolution in order to escape from the hell hole that they call a home. In a moment of desperation, the agents must figure out whose side they're on and more than anything, figure out why the weapon was used on the city in the first place.
I'm also working on another episode involving the December 21, 2012 thing as well so you can look forward to that.

Killer story ideas, Onlyne. I definitely look forward to using them. Thanks for the suggestions.
"Time of Crisis" looks to be an especially good episode; a madman like Stalin is more terrifying than any supernatural monster. It'll be cool to see how the PSI handles the dictator. Maybe they can also encounter some paranormal creatures in Russia, like the Almas or Baba Yaga, or genetic mutants created by Dr. Ilya Ivanov under Stalin's orders.

I'm going to repost my first story idea with some edits slong with some new story ideas.
Finders, Keepers
A group of Fizera, the bio-mechanichal race who experimented on Steven Harker nd whose technology was salvaged to make Alex de Rossi, have came to Earth and contacted PSI by hacking their computers. On authority from the monarch they are demanded that Steven an Alex be turned over to them or they will start a full scale invasion and attempt to destroy the planet until they capture the two by force. Now only two choices appear, hand Steven and Alex over or destroy the Fizera before they can start their attacks.
Flames of Vengence
A ship lands in Philidelphia an is revealed to contain a group of Pyrovilles, molten glems. They want revenge for the death of their brethen who came to Earth in AD 79 when Mount Vesuvius errupted (Fires of Pompeii, Doctor Who) and plan to finish their plan to turn Earth into another Pyrovillia (despite the palnets return).
Time Trickery
Loki, the trickster of Norse Mythology, has learned of the PSI's recent success and travels back in time preventing it's founding creating chaos. As it decies to move on to individual members, cuasing further chaos the members must remember who they are and stop the beast.
I'm trying to think of some other story;s, possibly dealing with more magical threats.

Like the ideas, though if you don't mind, I'd like to avoid too many references to Dr. Who. Perhaps the "Time Trickery" episode could deal with tricksters from various mythologies (Coyote, Anansi, Puck, Reynard, Loki, ect.) Just a thought.
But "Finders, Keepers" is definitely an idea that needs to be done. It would be a great storyline for Steven and Alex.
Question
08-10-2008, 07:26 PM
Ooh, I love the Steven and Alex story (and not only because I love being the star of things; it really is a logical extension of their backstories.)!
So, um, I have ideas for stories too!
Panacea - In a laboratory in Berlin, an international team of scientists has created a revolutionary new type of vaccination, able to adapt itself and cure every disease known to man - a virtual panacea. PSI, however, has met a man from the future with terrifying news. Panacea is actually the first step to the downfall of humanity, having eventually mutated into a compound that considers free will the most virulent disease of all. The situation is complicated when PSI meets the same man from another alternate future, having traveled back in time to ensure Panacea is safely created and distributed throughout the world. Is Panacea the downfall of mankind or its salvation? Which time traveling version of the same man does our team choose to trust, and how will that trust affect generations to come?
Looking Glass - One of our intrepid heroes has apparently gone traitor, assassinating a prominent US Senator with ties to PSI. The traitor is imprisoned, oly for our team to discover villainous versions of all of them, commiting various crimes related to the work of PSI. Now, the team must face dark reflections of themselves as they attempt to discover the source of their evil counterparts. Portal to an alternate dimension, megalomaniacal scientist, or dark wizard? And just what is their master plan, anyway?
Break City - For nearly a month, Break City has been covered by an impenetrable shell of shadows, preventing anyone from entering and leaving. Just as PSI gets it's shit together and begins to investigate, the shell falls, seemingly freeing the innocent civilians. However, something has gone wrong - the residents of Break City have gone insane, every one of them. They spend their days wandering aimlessly, babbling to themselves, and a few of them have even developed metahuman powers for further drama. PSI is forced to attempt to discover the source of both the shadow shell and the citizens' lack of sanity, hopefully without losing their own sanity in the process.

I know I'm not part of this but I had an idea that you guys could use it you'd like...
The Maniacal Mechanations of Dr. Malavoria: The Maniacal Mechanations of Dr. Malavoria, a B-Horror movie from the fifties. A long forgotten classic that tells the tale of a young hero, his gal and how they get involved in an event that deals with a robotic army created by Dr. malavoria, a mad scientist bent on world domination. A charmfully kitchy film, until, that is, it becomes real. A mad scientist and B-movie afficiando named Edgar Cooperston fashions himself as a modern day Malavoria and creates a device that brings the movie to life as the Mechaniations jump off the screen and into reality!
(Alternate story for that one is that half the team is transported into the film, while the other half deals with Copperston and a small army of Mechanations.)

I'm fine with changing the trickster. Also I have another idea tht Im honestly suprise I didn't think of earlier.
Overkill
The Genome Theory, a suggestion put fourth of a way someone could live forever by cheating death. Many have attempted to test the theory thought these attempts usually end in failure. However attempts made by a scientist have looked promising recentley, the sicentist has been uner observation from the PSI but all activity surrounding his lab has ceased recentley. After reports of grons for a few nights and a disappearence the PSI investigate an discover that the entire facility has been taken over by undea corpses. The agents are sent in to make sure the creatures don't escape and attempt to find the scientist however with overwhelming numbers and an almost entirely un-killable enemy things aren't looking good.

The interaction between Val and Alex will definitely lead to much humor in the future. Expect them to team up soon, but not right away...
Anyway, this is another plot I thought up. Haven't come up with a title for the story though:
- The PSI is one of the most heavily fortified organizations on the planet. In its entire history, security has never been breached. So it comes as a tremendous shock when the base is invaded by a team of well-armed warriors. They are the Gerudo, a female tribe consisting of elite thieves that specializes in stealing supernatural artifacts. They raid the PSI's vaults of valuable mystical items, and even kidnap Craig! Disappearing with lightning speed, the Gerudo take their ill-gotten goods and Stevenson back to their village, where they plan to make Craig the husband of their leader Amara. To save their friend and recover the missing artifacts, the agents must head to the Middle East, braving the harsh climate, terrorist attacks, and the fierce fighting prowess of the Gerudo.

That episode looks funny. I thought of one dealing with a shape shifter.
Identity
Camonites, the ultimate identity theifs. A species of chameleon like shapeshifters with cloaking technology rivalled by no other. A usually peaceful species they occassinally come to Earth and tae the identitys of recentley eceaed before leaving. But the team are shocked when on member of the species, Leon, has started murdering people to get his hands on their identity. Alll the murder victims worked security at a certain museum, possibly giving insight to the aliens motives, but as the team try to find the Camonite, how do they know he hasn't found them?

Not good at the whole summary thing but here's an idea I thought would make a good episode.
The team discovers a piece of alien technology that, somehow, switches peoples bodies. And two of them, or even all of them, get switched and so they have to figure out how to control one another's abilities while they try and switch back. It could be a good episode for character growth and bonding. Literally walking in one another's shoes.

Just an update; Onlyne has been unable to play due to his contracting a computer virus. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Onlyne
08-13-2008, 05:29 AM
Well here's the thing. My comp is pretty much fixed but its still kinda messed up and I lost all my important files and stuff but that wont effect my game time. But yeah now its time for the famous arc you've been waiting for. The 2012 Storyline.
Before I tell it to you, I've got to change the one I had for Time of Crisis. Instead of them changing time to get back to the present, other stuff will happen. For one the agents can communicate with Constantine in the present by using a cell phone that they brought into the past. But once things are figured out with Stalin, they have to travel to America and get into Young Constantine's secret Carbon Factory. There they have to freeze themselves and then Constantine of the present will thaw them out when time gets back to the present day. Its also not that easy because there was no air service over the ocean at that time so they have to take a cruise ship when they have no money and stuff plus the Russian Government is after them.
So now here it is:
Doomsday - The PSI have been called urgently by the American Government. In the ruins of a mayan temple, a massive machine has been found. The machine, called Jehovah or the God Machine, displays a layout of the entire universe and allows you to zoom in to even the smallest particle. Basically it shows everything that goes on in the universe. Rumor has it that whoever knows how to use it can control absolutely everything that happens in the universe no matter how small. According to the Government, a secret society has been controlling the machine and everything that has happened in the universe since the beginning of the human race. They are beginning to cause terrorist attacks all over the world in hopes of getting it back. PSI must investigate the society in order to find out why they need it so bad.
When they meet the society, they tell PSI the true origin of the Jehovah Machine. It was created during the big bang and was discovered millions of years later by a mysterious man who went by the name "PM". The man met up with 5 people and created the society that was dedicated to protecting it. PM learned how to work the machine and spent 40 years of his life creating a series of blueprints that would regulate how the universe was run, and he gave it to the society trusting that they would stick to the format and ensure a great and prosperous future for the universe. Years after his death, a group of society members stole the machine and sold it to different people in a chain that led all over the world. The machine became known as the Ark of the Covenant and wars were fought over it. Finally during the Revolutionary War, Brittain wagered the machine which was won by the colonists. They then used the machine to make the country as successful as it is today.
The society split up the blueprints in different factions all over the world. A section went to the elves, the vampires, the lycans, the spirits, the extraterrestrials, and the final was left with the society. Lastly, when the machine was stolen, its self destruct system was activated and was set to go off on December 21st, 2012. The society finishes by saying that if the machine is destroyed, the universe is destroyed. The only way to stop the self destruct system is to enter the blueprints into the machine which means that PSI would have to travel to all of the factions in order to obtain the blueprints. The PSI would also have to fight the American Government and steal back the machine so that the society can enter the blueprints in. But the thing is, when the blueprints are entered, all of history will change to fit its format. PSI also doesnt know whether the blueprints lead to prosperity or chaos. Will the agents choose to change all of history for better or worse, or let it all end on that fateful night?
Finally though. Just throwing it out there. I keep thinking of this song which this RP reminds me of so I was thinking it could be our theme song. Its called Every Planet We Reach Is Dead by the Gorrillaz. Its a really good song, you should check it out.

Very well thought out storyline, Onlyne. This has potential to be the grand finale for the PSI game. Also, I'll fix the part in the game thread where I used your character.

08-14-2008, 09:39 PM
Okay, not to sound rude but you need to explain everything at once. Stopping in the middle and then assuming people are just going to sit there and wait is not very bright. How in the world are we supposed to know that your going to continue?
And for the record, calling Valda back like that is very childish (the character, not you) and unprofessional. He could simply have told the other members of the team to go and get her and take her to the garage after Felica explained everything. Valda was on a team before so she knows how to use all the equipment.
Onlyne
08-15-2008, 12:49 AM
Well I'm sure he is stopping so that the others can state their reactions. It was kinda shady of whether we should have gone or not but I'm sure he didnt know we'd leave like that.
But yeah calling Valda back kinda made it easier on everyone. If I were Bass, which I am, I wouldnt want to waste my energy to go out. Besides, I'm sure we get different equipment depending on the mission so maybe this equipment was meant to be new to us.
But yeah to Pharmmajor, I know my character said he was upset about pairing up with Valda, but frankly I'm glad you did that. I like squaring off with Valda. Its alot of fun so far. It'd be really ironic if they were to develop a relationship since they're polar opposites but I'm not gonna thrust into that just yet. I'll leave that up to Mrs. Billy and your descision.
But yeah that finale was going to be really unique and end with the team meeting PM in person who actually turns out to be you PM=PharmMajor and the 5 people who created the society turn out to be all of us. There they learn the true meaning of life which turns out to be that their lives were apart of an RPG played on an internet website. It'll be a unique Forth wall breaking ending. This is only what I thought of. You dont have to do it like that if you want.

Gotcha. Sorry. I stopped in the middle because I wanted to give the other players a chance to respond and ask questions. Won't happen again.
Also, the equipment and gear changes based on what the mission entails (if the threat is aliens, monsters, specters, demons, ect.) Different weapons and tools are required for different foes. Kind of like how Bond gets new gadgets with each new mission.

Onlyne: Valda was in the first passenger seat and Harker had already gotten in the driving seat.
Oh I mentioned before you made that post where Bass said he gets to drive. I editted it slightly to where Bass asks Steven if he can drive but I guess I could change it. Its just that I feel a little insulted if my character has to sit in the back when I already called it. No offenses, its just me. It also doesnt work well with my character's dialogue there either. How about we'll both be driving in our own minds and we'll ignore it until we get to the place.
Have you read Grant Morrison's Animal Man, by chance?
No I havent, but with you bringing it up, I'd imagine it's something about the main character meeting his creator. Whats it about?
Question
08-16-2008, 12:21 PM
The main story is about Animal Man, and all sorts of oddball stories - there's this great little existential piece that's basically a parody of the Wile E Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons. His last issue on the book was about Grant Morrison meeting and talking to Animal Man. It was pretty awesome.
Onlyne
08-16-2008, 10:15 PM
Oh wow awesome. Well then it'd be similar to that in a way. I may just do that in one of my stories or something. That'd be awesome.
But yeah to Pharmmajor, is anything specific supposed to happen in particular when we get to the place? Like are we gonna get attacked by that guy when he returns or something and then he drops a ring that gives them a clue to cult's existence? Thats just how I predict you would do it.
pharmmajor
08-17-2008, 01:44 AM
Yeah, the assassin will strike while you guys are investigating. But the assassin doesn't have the ring; he will, however, provide some evidence pointing towards the cult. The attack won't happen right away of course. He'll make his move after you've investigated for some time.
When will the vans reach their destinations?

08-17-2008, 04:51 AM
Most likely after everybodies next post. We still have to learn a little about each other before we get there. Dont forget to remind us of what our characters need to find and stuff. If we can come up with our own things until the assassin comes, thats fine too.
Also what do you think about the relationship idea that I mentioned earlier? If we decide to do it, it will pretty much decide which storyline we should tackle next?
MrsBillyCranston
08-17-2008, 05:28 AM
I was just looking over the old episode idea's and there was one that gave me an idea. The episode "Roswell" where people are infected with an alien illness. Valda has a healing power that can cure illnesses. Of course she can't fix the entire planet but she can at least heal the other members of the team so they are immune to it and can go and find the cure. Only problem is Valda can't use her healing power on herself. So she contracts the disease along with everyone else and the team not only have to save the planet, but also a member of their own team.
Just thought it would add to the drama of the episode.
Onlyne
08-18-2008, 04:21 AM
Thats a great idea MrsBilly. It would work perfectly. Now all we have to do when we get to that episode is come up with some symptoms for the disease and stuff.
pharmmajor
08-18-2008, 04:47 AM
That is a clever idea, MrsBilly. It would add a lot of drama to the Roswell storyline.
Onlyne, the relationship plotline you discussed could work. When do you want to introduce that?
Also, I had a thought about the time travel storyline. Since Torchwood has been referenced, what if the PSI crew travels to the past with the Doctor? A problem could arise when the KGB confiscates the TARDIS and the crew must retrieve it in order to return to our time and use the codes to stop the bombs from going off. But that's just a thought; I don't want to override your story idea.

I like the time travel idea but not so much with the doctor. I don't know why but I can't see the tenth doctor wanting to align with group like PSI.
pharmmajor
08-18-2008, 12:07 PM
Well, I just tossed it out as a thought. Maybe we can brainstorm together to come up with a method for allowing the PSI crew to travel to the past.
On a side note, I thought now might be a good time to select which storyline we'll do after the current one is finished. Here are the selections:
- Melody of Darkness
- New Oxford
- Identity
- Panacea
- body-switch storyline (untitled)

Sorry I didn't mean to sound dismissive of your thoughts...my vote is for Identity.
Onlyne
08-18-2008, 02:51 PM
Identity would be good. Its early in the story and people dont fully trust each other yet so it would be believable for the characters to think another character betrayed them.
As for the idea with the Doctor, its good but the thing is, i'm not too familiar with Doctor Who too much so I'm not sure if we could do it. I was thinking maybe it'd be better if we kept it seperate to avoid any kind of confusion.
But as for the relationship idea, I was thinking it would take place after the Dark Fang episode, because Bass finds out that his lover, Maria, is the head of the Dark Fang Clan and has to help defeat her at the end. That leaves him open and thats when the relationship could blossum, maybe because Val sees how compassionate he can be for another being or something. But I dont want to do this unless MrsBilly agrees to so lets figure out what she thinks of it.
MrsBillyCranston
08-18-2008, 06:46 PM
Just for the record, Valda isn't going to make it easy for Bass. Something happened a long time ago soon after she came to America that makes her avoid having any sort of intimate contact with anyone (I'll probably have her bring it up sometime in a later episode). She's been celibate for the past couple hundred years. Just shows how damn stubborn she is. If you plan on pursuing Valda be prepared to be going at it for a while. Not to mention Valda isn't really that fond of Bass right now. It's gonna take something big to turn her around from that.
I guess I'll go with Identity as well, after that the body switching story line would probably work the best only because I think the episode could be more amusing if it happened early on when the characters still don't know one another all that well just yet. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Yeah I was just thinking it would be pretty hard to get a relationship out of Valda and Bass as they both dont like each other. But if Bass did something like risk his life for the safety of earth or something to help the enviornment, it would help Valda soften up around him. But yeah as of now they're pretty hateful to each other.
Actually thinking about it now, it would work really well if Bass risked his life to save Valda when she gets infected with the disease. That could help build something up there.
But to pharmmajor, what are we supposed to be looking for in Eckley's room and what're we supposed to find?

Eckley has files on his laptop and in his notebooks that could contain evidence. Also, there could be something in the book he was preparing to sign. It's titled "Dark Designs of the Dragons."
Okay, looks like we're in agreement. Identity will be the next storyline.
TJ, no need to be sorry. I like hearing feedback on my suggestions. How does this sound for a time travel mechanism: a confiscated alien device that collects energy and converts it into tachyons, particles capable of opening pathways through the timestream.

I guess that would pretty much work. But it'd be wierd to add alien stuff into an episode about time travel so lets say that Pendragon got it along time ago and finally figured out how to do it. Something new i thought of, maybe there could be something that happens later on in the story where we have to send a guy into the far far future in order to get rid of him or something. Just throwing it out there.

Time travel is always a fun subject and tricky in its application. I've always been a fan of the time travel stories that happen as a result of an accident. Such as when a experiment design for one purpose goes wrong causing temporal shift. I like the idea of Pendragon having the time traveling technology.

I suppose the Franklin Institute could have an alien artifact tucked away. But the PSI's activities aren't limited to Philadelphia - they investigate cases throughout the US, and often international cases. In essence, you could choose any major museum (Smithsonian, Ashmolean Museum, Guggenheim, Louvre, ect.) to be the setting for the story. It's your call, Ranger12.

Hey, I was thinking of something regarding possible connection of two storylines. What if "Time Trickery" follows "Time of Crisis"? They seem like they can be linked together; the PSI crew travels back to Russia in the 40s, obtains the codes to stop the bombs, then return to the present to find that the agency has been altered by Loki's actions. Maybe since they went through the time portal, they'll be sensitive to changes in the time stream.
Anyway, it's just another thought. I wanted to see how it panned out.

Just so you know, the way you had the freezing spell isn't how it works. Basically it's like freezing time. Only instead of actually freezing time, she's just freezing the people's minds. They wouldn't come back to life gradually like they had literally been frozen. They would just spring back to life and continue on like nothing had happened. Like the head guy, when he was cut off in his speech. He would just continue where he had left off like he had never stopped. They have no idea what happens around them when they're frozen, and they have no idea that they have been frozen after they wake up.... Like I said, it's sort of like freezing time... but not really. xD

Yeah to your Time idea, that would be cool but the way i had it for them to come back, would be if they were unfrozen by Pendragon. Idk, maybe they'll be unfrozen by some other group or something and then they find out whats going on. The only problem is, we need a way to figure out how to get back to the past and we need to figure out what exactly has changed about the present. We can say that Pendragon wants to exterminate all supernatural occurences on earth, for one, just to put a spin on it and make him a villian for once.
MrsBillyCranston
08-22-2008, 03:13 AM
Okay, so I know it's not going to come up for a couple more episodes but I was just thinking some more about 'Roswell' and how it would all work out and this is what I came up with...
It mostly has to do with the fact that Alex probably can't contract diseases since she's basically all machine. And how Valda and Bass can contract it since they're not mortal. Basically what I came up with is that, while they're immune to earth diseases, they can still catch this one because it's alien, so it can mutate in a way to still do them harm. For Alex it's a little more complicated. I think Steven should be the first one sent in to study the device because they think it might have something to do with the technology that in him, and he might be able to translate the text since he knows several alien languages. Well, he contracts the disease because he's still mostly human. But it also mutates and starts effecting the technology within him as well. He passes it on to all the others, including Alex. Since the disease has mutated to be able to effect Fizera technology, it can now effect Alex.
Wow... that was a mouthful xD That's just one idea. Feel free to edit or change some stuff.
And I have a question about 'Identity'. When the Chameleon take on the forms of others, do they have that persons sames attributes? Are they taking over their bodies or just replacing them? Like... would they have all of Valda's powers or Haker's technology? If not then it would be very easy for them to prove that none of them have been replaced. The only person they could imitate would be Craig since he's the only human.

I like the ideas, guys. Even though these storylines won't be played for a while, they're definitely shaping up to be impressive.
Regarding "Identity", you'd have to ask Ranger12 about whether the chameleon alien can copy powers and abilities as well as forms.
Ranger 12
08-22-2008, 12:23 PM
A Camonite probabbly wouldn't be able to copy the power completely though it would b able to mimic it. He could probabbly mimic Bass's fangs and heling abilities through shapeshiting, Alex's would proabbly be very easy to mimic as their actually pretty similair, Harkers and Valdas would probabbly be hardest, it might be able to mimic Val's phasing but casting magic would be nearly impossible to copy, it might know some of the languages Harker coul translate and could mimic the outward effect of what happens to Harker when he uses his abilities though he would be able to hack or scan, however the cloaking devices used by Leon might be able to give the effect of teleportation.
I like the idea for Roswell, though Harkers more of a 50/50 split between human and machine, though he'd still get infected, just though I'd say.

Hey guys I came up with another interesting idea for a storyline that we can pursue later. I know we pretty much have enough, but we can still do it later on. It can tie on to our time story. We can make the time episodes a part 1, 2, and 3 storyline, kinda like a tv movie.
Man of the Hour
A baby is found left on the doorstep of the PSI Headquarters. Pendragon decides to care for the baby and the agents decide to help. Soon after a while, Pendragon starts to develop strange headaches that begin to get more and more severe. Its not until later that Loki has returned to inform them that the baby is actually Pendragon himself and that he was taken from his own time and brought to the 21st Century. At the same time, a group of time travelers, who created a cult in the far future dedicated to destroying PSI, have traveled to the 21st Century through Pendragon's time machine, in order to kill the now vulnerable baby Pendragon, who was too protected in his own time to attack. Pendragon, who is completely unable to teach the agents how to use the time machine due to his massive headaches, remains hospitalized, leaving the agents helpless. They must now travel to the Stonehenge, the place where all time stands still, and use its supernatural radiation to transport them back to the early 1930's and return baby Pendragon to his courageous mother, the founder of the first incarnation of a Paranormal Organization.

Like the idea, but Pendragon isn't that old. He was born in 1946. (My fault for not mentioning it earlier - sorry.)
Also, I have two more plot ideas. I scrapped the one I considered regarding the disappearance of the Anasazi (having the agents fight a giant centipede demon just seemed too outlandish), hopefully these are better.
Melody of Darkness: Project MK-ULTRA - a covert CIA program focused on mind control. From 1953 to 1973, agents subjected willing and unwilling volunteers to a barrage of tests hoping to find a method to develop the perfect soldier; one immune to any form of torture or interrogation, and would willingly carry out any programmed objective, including assassination, without question. The program was a failure, however. Brainwashing, hypnosis, drugs; all failed to break a subject's free will and coerce them into acting against their values. One of the lead researchers, frustrated with their lack of success, considered a supernatural approach to the project. He had heard tales of an enchanted baton that could place anyone into a trance and force them to do whatever their conductor commanded. Naturally, he was ridiculed for his suggestion, and the program was soon terminated after it was revealed to the public. Embittered, the rogue scientist spent the next 35 years searching for the mystical item, until he finally uncovered it in a Bavarian tomb. Now he has returned to the US, using his newly-acquired artifact to bewitch unwilling people and force them to commit heinous crimes. The PSI agents must stop this madman before one of his puppets carries out a deadly terrorist attack, all the while trying to avoid falling victim to his mystical manipulation.
Go Hifreann Leat: High-ranking officials in the Scarfo crime family, Philadelphia's most powerful Italian mafia, are being murdered at an alarming rate. But these are not commonplace mob hits - they're being dropped from 500 feet in the air, burned alive without any external source of fire, and riddled with medieval arrows. When one body is found covered with multiple wounds that appear to have come from very small, clawed hands, it's evident that supernatural forces are at work. While trailing a capo suspected to be the next target, the PSI witnesses him attacked by strange goblin-like creatures in blood-red stocking caps. They save the victim and manage to capture one of the monsters while the others escape. Holding it back at base, they learn it is a Redcap, a malevolent faerie. Under harsh interrogation, the beast reveals that the recent murders have all been carried out by malicious spirits of the Unseelie Court, summoned by a crime boss in the Irish mob seeking to eliminate rivals. Relying on Valda's experience in dealing with other fae, the agents hope to stop these supernatural assassins before another life is claimed.
(Note: "Go hifreann leat" is Gaelic for "To hell with you.")

I'm not that really fond of "Borrowers" it doesn't quite fit with the episode idea. I was thinking maybe... "Switched" or "What's Mine is Not Yours" or "Identity Crisis" or "In Another Man's Shoes".... I dunno, pick your favorite one I guess :P I, personally, like the last one.
And to further elaborate on that story idea (since I'm the one who came up with it)....
A scientist by the name of Dr. James McMillan has just been arrested, by the PSI, under suspicion of being a terrorist. He's thrown in jail and his lab is raided, all technology being brought back to PSI for study. The team is sent in to investigate one of the devices that appears to have no function at all. They're able to get it open and they discover that the power source is almost depleted, but they decide to turn it on hoping it'll help them figure out what it does. As soon as its turned on there's a flash of green light and everyone in the room falls to the floor unconscious. When they awake they discover that all of them have swapped bodies. They figure the device can change them back, only the power source is complete shot. They'll need Dr. McMillan to help them create a new power source, only the prisoner has somehow escaped. And if that wasn't bad enough, they discover that the transfer become permanent after 48 hours. So unless they can find Dr. McMillan, create a new power source and switch back, they'll be stuck in one another's bodies for the rest of their lives.
Really the whole idea was to get away from the alien stuff. It seems we have so much alien technology in this RP, we should have some earth tech as well.
Also I was thinking about the episode list... I think "Finders, Keepers" should be before "Roswell." Only if we're going with my idea about how everyone gets infected. Because as of right now, none of the other characters know that the tech in Harker and the tech Alex is made of are the same, as well as alien. We need to establish that if we're to avoid doing a lot of explaining in "Roswell." And I'd put "The Maniacal Mechanations of Dr. Malavoria" somewhere near the beginning, maybe after "Panacea"?
Also... further musings xD I don't want it to seem like I'm making Valda too powerful so if you think this is too much then we can scrap it but I'm just throwing it out there....
For the "Time of Crisis" episode... We still need to come up with a way for the members to get back to their own time right? I think Valda should be unaffected by time alteration. Like.. no matter what she still remains the same and has all memories of how her life played out. She's not mortal, she's connected to the earth itself, not mortal interaction so changes to the mortal realm wouldn't affect her. So in order to get back to their time line they have to find the Valda from that time (who would probably be living somewhere in America) and have her change something. That way the whole time line doesn't get changed..... This idea also works for "Time Trickery." Since Valda is unaffected by time alteration, anything Loki did wouldn't alter her memories of the previous time line. So she has to go and find Pendragon and the members of the team to help them remember who they are and what they have to do to stop it. Only problem is, none of them believe in the supernatural and alien lifeforms and all that..... I think, if we did this, this could be Valda's whole turnaround. She realizes she has made a real friendship with all of them and she truly doesn't want to loose that. Which would open the doors for a relationship.
So, again if we do this, I think "Roswell" should happen after the time travel arc because then it would be more in character for her to sacrifice herself for the other members.
I also have another idea but I'm gonna keep that one a secret for now xD
pharmmajor
08-23-2008, 05:44 AM
Thanks for the input, MBC. I'll be sure to make the changes. BTW, what would McMillain's motivation be for creating the device?
Regarding the time-travel arc, I did have an idea for how to get them back to the present, though I'll admit it does seem a little corny. The team gets in touch with Pendragon's father, who writes a letter instructing his son to activate the time machine so that the portal will open at a specific set of coordinates where the agents will be waiting. He'll put the letter in a safe deposit box and instruct the bank to deliver it to Constantine in 2008 so he'll know how to help the crew return to the present.
One more question. For the story involving the Irish mobster using demonic faeries to kill enemies, would Valda have knowledge of the Unseelie Court?
Onlyne
08-23-2008, 05:50 AM
I like your idea for the last thing with the Time Trickery part, but the thing is when we all transport back, we all have our memories. Its just that PSI is no longer around so the group is pretty much on there own there. Maybe we can make it to where everyone begins to lose their memories gradually or something. But yeah that is a great idea and would help develop Valda's power and stuff. If it turns out that it doesnt work in this particular episode, we still need to try to do something like it. Maybe we could do it earlier so we could start off Bass and Valda's rocky relationship and what not.
BTW Pharmmajor, you put New Oxford on the list twice. Just wanted to let you know. But maybe whenever we get to Panacea, it turns out that the team begins to split up as some of the members end up on the side of the formula being helpful and some on the side of the formula being harmful, but then Valda doesnt know what to believe. So she would try to get them on the same side again, and at the same time she realizes what it really means to be a team and that we all need each other if we're going to succeed in maintaining balance between the supernatural factions of the world.
But yeah to Pharmmajor, when I came up with the time idea, there was a part where I mentioned that they could contact Pendragon through a 21st Century cell phone, which could reach him through time and space. Also, if time is going to change in 2008, it would kinda contradict Pendragon's ability to obtain the letter, if time has changed.

Alright, I get that you guys want to link all the time travel things together but theres one thing that doesn't quite fit. Ok, they go back in time in "Time of Crisis" to get the codes in order to stop the machine. Now, where you planning on them just shutting down the machines right then? Because if so that won't work. You can't forget the whole premise of the original storyline. If they do anything besides go after the codes they risk altering the time line too much. Which means, after they get the codes they would need to get back to the present in order to shut the machines down. And THAT means, when they get back to the present the time line can NOT be altered yet. They have to get back, turn off the machines, and then everything is fine. This would allow for pharmmajor's idea about the letter to Constantine to work. The episode can end with Valda waking up the next morning to find that the time line has been altered. Which would then lead into "Time Trickery" and my whole idea with that.
As for McMillan's motives, I was thinking he was going to use it to switch bodies with people from the government. Use their power and position to attack other countries and create further ciaos. Basically the guy is a nut who wants to destroy the world.

Well, in the idea it says he goes and stops PSI from ever forming, so none of the characters ever meet. I think we should take it a step further and have him alter our teams past. Because, by the time we get to the arc our team will be pretty famous, right? We're handling some of the biggest cases, and with success. So, to make sure we don't come together on our own he also alters each of our characters past in some way. Just some ideas were... maybe Bass is the head of the Dark Fang Clan or Alex was never injected with the nanites or Craig's grandmother is never murdered or Torchwood was never shut down.... those are just ideas. You can come up with what happened to your own character I'm just musing xD
As for how to change it back, well they have to track down Loki, of course, and find out what his ultimate plan is (which is something we still need to come up with cause I have no ideas there). And we can use his time machine to go back to when he used it to stop him from altering the time line in the first place. Which would make everything normal again. It would make the ending kind of humorous too cause Valda would be the only one who remembered it all happened.

08-25-2008, 10:18 PM
Good ideas MrsBilly. Here's my take on it:
Okay first, Loki doesnt use a machine, he's a god so its supposed to be apart of his power that he's able to go through the time. Thats the only flaw to your scenario but the rest is good.
The whole going a big step farther really doesnt matter to me. Its going to make things a little more complicated but it'll make it easier for Valda to figure out where everyone is. Maybe Loki comes to Valda and tells her that he altered their lives. The thing is, how are we going to alter the altered timelines of the characters. We would have to go back multiple times which would be impossible because the only way we got back before was because Pendragon gets the letter, and since he's not there, we'd only have one chance at it. We'll just say that w/e happened in that caused PSI to not exist, alters everyones timelines. As for the way that we get to the past, we could use the same way that they get back in Man of the Hour, which was through the Stonehenge, but that'd be kind of hard to do. I'll just change some things around to see how you guys will like it and we'll go with that.
Besides, Bass being the leader of the Dark Fang Clan would happen whether his past was altered or not. This is because in the actual game, Maria, Bass' lover, is the leader of the Dark Fang Clan. Therefore, when PSI no longer exists, Bass finally finds Maria and joins them, becoming the leader. Valda then has to explain to him that this isnt the way things should be and teaches him that the resurrecting of Bellius or w/e i named him, will end......something. I dont know, maybe Valda can bring up the relationship thing there saying that destroying the world will also end any kind of friendship and/or growing relationship that they might have had together.
Also I was thinking that Valda would think that everyone wouldnt remember what happens once everything is resolved but soon she realizes that all of the memories that they used to have, kind of merge with the memories of their recent adventure. Therfore, Bass will become more shy around Valda, realizing what she did to get him to help.
Idk, maybe she kisses him out of no where to make him go and promises that they could be together but is really lying so that she could get him to come back. It'd be a cruel thing to do but she believes that he wont remember when he actually does.
MrsBillyCranston
08-25-2008, 10:35 PM
Actually what you're saying about Bass and Valda is something I was thinking about. Even when they get to this arc, even though Valda's warmed up to them, she still acts like a bitch toward everyone and would still never imagine having a relationship with any of them (I told you, she is very stubborn). So I was thinking that, maybe Valda does kiss Bass (whether it's to try and get him to help her or for some other reason). Then when things go back to normal, Valda is the only one who remembers what happens, and she's the only one who remembers that kiss. And she starts to realize that she's sad that she's the only one who remembers. It would make it more dramatic if she's the only one who remembers the kiss cause then she has to decide whether to tell him, or just go on like they always have, all the while making her more miserable. And then in 'Roswell' Bass realizes something must have happened because Valda would never have sacrificed herself like that unless it did.
As for Loki being a God... I don't think we should go that route. Maybe he was worshiped as a God but in actuality he's just a warlock or wizard or something.
And as for changing everything back, I think you missed what I was trying to say. They don't have to go back and change all their pasts one at a time, all they have to do is stop Loki from going back into the past in the first place. Once they do that, the time line go back to normal but itself and we're back to being PSI. You see, they don't have to worry about getting back to the future because everything will be fixed once they stop Loki. Since Valda isn't affected by time line alterations, she would be the only one that remembered the whole ordeal.

I'm gonna suggest we cut flames of vengence, mainly because it seems a it outlanish an looking back, it isn't that good of a story.

Yeah, that story kind of confused me. I don't know anything about Doctor Who :P But I have a story idea to make up for it. Since there are so many men in this RP I thought it would be interesting to have a sort of "girl power" episode xD It's sort of a humorous episode, I thought it would be fun to have a lighter episode amidst all the serious ones.
A new agent, Helen Monroe, has just been recruited into the PSI ranks, but there is something odd about her that has both Val and Alex concerned. She passed all the entry tests with flying colors, and didn't even have to take part in the physical portion of the test. And now she seems to have all the men at PSI under her thumb. Alex and Valda try to warn everyone that something just isn't right, but they all assure the two women that Helen is an excellent agent. Things get even more complicated when Constantine puts Helen on their team. Knowing something is definitely wrong, Valda and Alex have to team up (along with all the other women at PSI) to figure out what this Helen Monroe is up to, and how she's able to control all the men.
I have the whole idea in mind about who Helen is and what she's doing, but I don't want to give everything away. And this episode can finally address the whole "girl power" thing Alex mentioned.

I agree with you MrsBilly. Actually the whole thing with Bass and Valda would work either way even if they could remember. Maybe seeing as Bass is a vampire, his memories stay with him but he hides it from Valda. I'm just saying, cause Bass wouldnt have any reason to fall for Valda just because she's falling in love with him. That could happen, but I'm just wanting to put Bass through some kind of conflict as well. But maybe instead of getting the memories per se, but he remembers the feelings he had when she got him to help them.
But yeah I completely agree with what you were saying with Loki. So how does he travel through time, through machine or magic?
Also there's a little bit of contradiction in the last part. How do we stop Loki from going through time if time has already changed. This is an example. Its August 25th right now. If I went back and made it to where Al Gore won the election those years ago, then came back, it'd be August 26th but still time would be changed. So the thing is, time has still gone on despite the change. So what I'm saying is, Loki has already gone through time just like the example. We'd have to find a way to go back in time to the moment where he went and changed history and we couldnt do that cause technically, since time has changed, Loki changing time would be an impossible event to tap into because technically it didnt happen, if that makes since. So basically we have to figure out how to stop the guy even though time has stopped. I dont think thats very possible, cause like I said, time has changed and I dont think we can go back in time to the moment where he left if we dont have a time machine.
But if we do that, we could say that Loki is in possession of the baby while in the past and once we stop him from going back in time, everything goes back to normal. Thats when the members of PSI take care of the baby and everything works out the way it should. But still we need a way to travel through a time machine without the existence of Pendragon's Time Machine. But with Loki, what will we do to him? Kill him? Arrest him? I was thinking maybe we'll send him like 3000 years in the future.

Okay, I get what you're trying to say. If we're dealing with several time lines then, you're right, the idea wouldn't work. The theory is, when you alter something in the past you aren't changing your own time line, you're creating a new one. But this theory doesn't work with the story we're trying to create so we'll stick with just the one time line. Everything happening in a same reality. But you're right about us not being able to go back to the time to when Loki left (because it never happened). So what we have to do it meet up with Loki at the exact time he showed up in the past to alter it. We have to figure out how far back in time Loki went, and meet up with him there. Because at that point in time, nothing would have changed yet, so we would be able to stop him.
I hope I explained that right o.O Lol this is getting confusing. xD I watch too much sci-fi :P
I already explained why Valda would be able to remember. It's not just because she isn't mortal, its because she was born from the earth itself. She if connected to the earth, not to the actions of man. Man kind evolves and changes but Valda remains the same, she remains as the earth. Bass, and all other beings for that matter, are connected to human evolution in some way.
As for Bass falling in love with Valda, that's sort of up to you. Maybe something can happen in 'Dark Fang.' But I just figured it would evolve slowly. Feelings take a while to change, and most of the time we don't even realize they've changed. It can just be little things that he notices and he can finally realize that his feeling have changed after the events of 'Roswell.'

Okay everything works out perfectly. But all I'm saying with Bass is that since he's a vampire, he's half-demon, half human, according to legend. So maybe instead of Bass remembering, he'll remember the feelings he felt when he was in the altered future. He wont exactly know what happened but for some reason he'll have the same erge to be with Valda as he did when she tries to get him to help her, but he starts to try and ignore them, because he thinks that Valda doesnt want to be with him and he still sees her as obnoxious. Then, like you said, Bass realizes how he feels about Valda in "Roswell" then he'll understand that instead of ignoring the feelings, he'll embrace them and then it'll go on from there.
Should work out pretty nicely. But yeah in Dark Fang, when Bass realizes that his lover is the leader of the Dark Fang Clan, they eventually defeat her and he is saddened by her death because she was truly in love with her. Maybe we can have Valda, to the best of her obnoxious ability, try to comfort Bass and help him cope with the death. She would do this in a friendly way though, which wont really hint anything between them because they have to become more friends before they can get into a relationship.

Hey, pharm, is the security guard going to question Alex about her mysterious phone call? I left her entrance back into the morgue to be ambiguous in case you wanted to.
