View Full Version : HTML code issues

Two things.

1. For some reason, HTML code here now requires angled brackets (< >) instead of square brackets ([]).

2. All of the buttons still insert code in square brackets (italics, bold, Quote, etc.), so none of them do what they're supposed to do now. As for the QUOTE tags, I tried manually creating some with the angled brackets, but quotes still didn't work.

What's going on?

EDITED TO ADD: Um, ok, now everything's back to the way it was. Now I'm really confused.

ETA2: Ok, it seems the problem still exists in the thread I originally encountered it in, even though everything worked fine in a different thread.

In some discussion areas, the BBcode has been shut off to prevent some users from using excessively sized fonts, or coloration of fonts where it is not required.

That's what I'm assuming anyway.

Everything works here, the discussion forums seem to be the only place that have the BBcode shut off.

Looking through, Episode Discussion is the only section i see with the BB Code turned off for some reason. I can turn it back on, but I don't want to do that without consulting with Mike first. I'll let you guys know when I speak to him.

Ok,

I spoke to Mike, he doesnt know why it was turned off, so I turned it back on. The coding should be working now, however messages that were already posted will have to be "Edited" and "Saved" in order to trigger the coding.
