It’s the year 2078. Our technology hasn’t changed, education is the same, and the laws are the same. Although there is one thing that has changed. Science. Thirty years ago three scientists took fifteen volunteers to conduct experiments. After watching the results, nothing major happened and they let the people go back and live their regular lives, years passed and no sooner did the scientists discover that their ‘test’ did have an effect. The injection they put into the people were to see if they could improve the 5 senses. Though they created something else. They called it the X virus. The fifteen humans spread it through their children and those they interacted with, creating strange side effects. Strange and yet unique abilities.

Since the X virus spread, it affected 1,000’s of people. The scientists were sent to jail and the infected were hunted by those who didn’t want them around. Although the government tried to control the outrage, they could only do so much. These ‘infected’ people went into hiding and had hide their true selves to be safe. Since then one infected human named James Charles, took in what money he could, got the government’s permission, and created a school academy for the infected. Where they could show their ‘powers’ and live a regular life with people just like them. Although, there are still people hunting the infected in hopes of getting back to ‘normal’ realities.

Since then James Charles created a secret team of his best students to help fight off their enemies and keep the school safe, how long will this battle rage?

The Begginning Part 1:


Okay everyone! Welcome to UIA, you all have been here at the school for two weeks now and its up to you wether or not you are friends with each other. Though in your posts I would like you all notice that all nine of you are in the same classes together and you find that strange. You only have three classes a day and friday-sundays are your weekends so you are free to do as you wish those days. (If you have any questions about the school ask away! :D) In your posts it will be a wednesday and you just finished your classes. Feel free to roam around and do as you wish. Once eveyone posts, I will give out the next step to your future! ;)

The Beggining Part 2:

Okay thanks everyone for posting and we're off to a great start. Now that we have all started to flock together in the pool and the cafeteria, I want you all to start flocking together as one group slowly but once you all do it will be the end of the day. NEXT day is a thursday and the last day of school for the week. Here are the class schedules for you guys to follow:

Name: Jean Sullivan

Age: 18

Powers/Ability:

Illusion: He has the power to create and control illusions, thus altering and manipulating a state of reality for others, making him a dangerous opponent. However, depending on the complexity of an illusion that he creates, the after effect normally causes him to suffer from a prolonged period of fatigue and exhaustion. Also, the greater and more powerful the illusion that he creates and for the amount of time it is sustained and used on someone, the after effect is that it also slowly damages Jean’s eyesight.

Personality: On the outside of things, Jean appears to be a very mature and seemingly laid back young man with the personality of a perfect gentleman. When it comes to social situations, Jean handles almost every matter on a smooth and suave fashion, almost like a businessman of some kind, which often surprises those around him to his young age. However, this persona is merely a façade that hides his true malevolence. Beyond his seemingly laid back and humble attitude is an ambitious and cunning young man with a cruel and ruthless personality along with a mocking and contemptuous tongue to match his attitude. If anything, Jean will lie, cheat, steal and stab a many people in the back, both figuratively and literally whose cutthroat nature makes him something of a Machiavellian schemer.

History: Jean’s life has definitely not been a happy one. His parents were infected with the X virus, a virus that created strange and surreal side effects, with those side effects and symptoms evolving into gaining unique and almost superhuman abilities if you will. While they tried to live a happy and ordinary life, they were indeed shocked when they realized their son was infected with the virus, unfortunately, such a thing was inevitable. Nevertheless, they managed to have a life that was as close as possible to normal as they would most likely and fortunately for them, Jean’s powers had yet to awaken which was indeed fortunate. But however, the happiness of that peaceful, ordinary life soon came to an end…

The Hunters had located them and murdered both of his parents and although Jean managed to survive due to being hidden away in a closet at the time, he witnessed everything. As a result of witnessing this event, the incident had left him severely traumatized and Jean was put into foster care, the Hunters being clever enough to clean up the event to make sure that nothing linked back to them. After being bounced around from various foster homes, Jean finally found some degree of normality in his life when Jeff and Stephanie Sullivan took him in and while they were indeed a loving and caring, they were unable to get the boy to open up and interact with those around him. When his powers to create illusions finally manifested and awakened, he accidentally and unintentionally created a gruesome illusion on his father, forcing him to see what had happened on the day of his real parents deaths and in some way, he even managed to torture his step-father during the illusion.

When the illusion had finally faded away and things returned to reality, Jean found his step dad lying next to him unconscious. Upon recovering and waking from in hospital, Jeff did not feel hatred for his son. Instead he was empathic towards him. But despite his empathy, he knew that Jean needed to control his powers, otherwise, if he was left to his own devices and his ability remained unchecked, he would end up harming more people, possibly to the point of killing them. And so, with that epiphany Jeff and Stephanie heard of a special academy that helped those with powers, those infected with the X virus could live a normal life and hopefully, learn to harness and control their powers. After learning of this, the two sent Jean off to the academy against his will, causing to feel betrayed by them and at first he felt a great deal of resentment towards them for it.

But despite the fact that he had indeed been sent against his will, Jean slowly but surely managed to settle into the academy, managing to control his powers and even more successfully, he finally managed to open up to people, becoming well liked and well respected by his peers for his charismatic and courteous attitude. For a while, he enjoyed the level of peace and harmony from within the safety of the academy. It was place to call home so to speak, but however as time went on his personality started to change.

He became cold and withdrawn from those around him and developed insomnia after a series of continuous nightmares that involved his real parent’s deaths and being sent to the academy against his will from his step family, Jean became more and more bitter and aloof about it all. How could they possibly live normal lives? They were considered freaks of nature by the outside world, whilst they were genuinely safe inside of the academy, what would happen to them if something from the outside came in and tried to harm them? As these recurring thoughts of fear mixed with paranoia continued to torture him, his ability over the illusions begun to increase, but however, in exchange for the boost of power, he had difficulty controlling them again and started to realize that eventually started to realize that there was a potentially deadly side effect to his own powers…

Unable to cope with his failure to master and control his abilities, Jean left the academy and disappeared. A whole year has passed since his disappearance and so far, no one knows where he is or what has happened to him…

Other: Along his power over illusions, Jean is quite a skilled and adept swordsman for his age, being particularly skilled and deadly when using a rapier.
