What do you think about Zord Fights?

I voted "I hate them" because they are SO boring... IMO

I skip most zord fights. They're boring, repetitive, and kinda stupid for the most part.

The reason they're boring is because they're limited to the ground, and they have a limited movelist due to the style of construction.

It was in the style of Gunbuster or Transformers, people would rave about them a hell lot more.

The zords are fully half of what makes PR great. My friend is running a BESM game, and the Sentai member class has no access to Mecha at all. It's like being hamstrung. The concept of PR/Sentai is that we have costumed powers, but also we battle kaiju as well. It takes two traditions and blends them.

Yes, I agree that bland Zord fights sometimes are the case, and unfortunately instead of unique tactics/locations and multiple zord/monster fights, the new school of thought is to give more zords. I fully blame Sentai for this, as Disney has no control. I really hate the whole 'each new zord replaces an arm/leg/etc' rather than adding onto the whole or being a separate entity.

So... I love Zord fights when they are good, and wish for more when they're bad.

What puzzles me is.

Are the same people who dislike zord fights the same people who dislike Wildforce?

Considering it's one of the most hated seasons, it's zord battles are probably the most unique of all the seasons.

I'm not going to say I hated WF, but I didn't like the Zord concept they had going. Instead of interesting fights, they had a new zord every episode. It got a little tired after a while. It wasn't a new megazord, it was the same one with a new arm. Yes, it had a new attack, but it wasn't as fulfilling as, say... The MMPR Megazord battle with Cyclopsis.

I voted their not that good. Some seasons like Jungle Fury have really good zord fights, while seasons like Operation Overdrive have terrible zord fights. Thats why I say in PR 2009 we should have a zord-less season!:D

I think Zord fights are boring..I like the ranger fights so much better...
Operation Overdrive had TOO much zord fights.... I like OO, but they had too much zord fights

They will soon.

I mean the quality of footage is constantly increasing.

Soon, the entire zord battles will be in CGI.

Meaning a more expanded movelist, and maybe flight.

After that, the quality of the MMPR Movie.

I personally love the zord fights. While they do get repetitive, it kinda ties the whole mecha appeal to the power rangers. Without zords, they wouldn't be who they are. However, I completely HATE Jungle Fury zord battles because of that fly commentating on every match. What's the deal with that, anyway?

You must not watch Sentai...

I want to see more 'zord' fights and not so much of 'megazord' fights. Why can't they at least defeat a enemy with the zords separate. Or just one ranger defeats an enemy with their zord alone.

- All of the battles with the Battle Borgs

- Super Zeo Megazord vs. King Mondo

- Astro Delta Megazord vs. Mutated Darkonda and Mutant Spawn from Darkonda's body

- Mega Voyager vs. Tankenstein

- Lightspeed Solarzord vs. Diabolico

I enjoyed the original zord fights. from MMPR to In Space... They were more realistic, and there was hand to hand combat.

The Zord fights now are ALL CGI'd, it looks dumb. ie:: Dino Thunder... A Zord SURFING as a finishing move....Please. Its all garbage now. They need to bring back the old Zord fighting styles.

Without Zords Power Rangers would get obliterated so Zord fights are a basic component to PR you can choose to love or hate them they will not go away. I choose to LOVE THEM

I also love them. the only thing that it is boring sometimes is when we see the same megazord over and over again doing the same style of moves. When they change it with other combinations or megazords, or even when the same megazord does some different moves, it get interesting.

BTW, I don't like the 3D effects that they used (or abused?!) during WF (and since then).

Why not for one deason they try a variation on the sazer x concept.A base zord that changes based on the animal spirit or control vehicle that bonds with it.This will give The Zord agility different weapons and attacks.
