It all comes down to exactly what a Ranger is. If one can define what it is that makes someone a Ranger then the question of who is and isn't a Ranger can easily be answered.

You are right. My opinion is that since they were not true parts of the team, they are not rangers. I say the Solaris Knight was not a part of their group, he was their teacher, that is my opinion any way.

We all know what rangers look like and when we don't see a traditional looking ranger we all have ears to hear them being called rangers. Its really pretty simple.

Magna Defender- The original: not a ranger. Mike as Magna Defender: yes a ranger.

Blue Senturion- NO.

Leanbow and Daggeron- YES, they ARE rangers, even if they're called knights. They can morph, right?

MD- You do realize they're virtually the same thing right? If one isn't a ranger then neither is the other.

They could not morph, they just changed power levels of their ancient mystic mode. That is not the same as morphing.

Magna Defender

Now basically, Mike has been described a Ranger, but the original Magna Defender isn't. For me, this makes absolutely no sense. The reason people are calling Mike a Ranger is because he had a costume he henshin'd into, and he aided a Ranger team. That doesn't make him a Ranger, that makes him a Ranger-Ally. The Magna Defender costume was originally a skin, we see Mike transform into the Magna Defender. Technically, it's not evena costume, Mike never removes his helmet once, he actually becomes the Defender. Mike isn't a Ranger.

Blue Senturion

Not a Ranger, I'm not even going to write a full paragraph on this. Everyone knows he isn't, he never transformed once.

Solaris Knight and Leinbow

I will describe both of these two in the same paragraph. Technically, they are not Rangers, but they share the same technology that is used for Rangers. Technically, Ranger technology has been adapted in order to transform their Ancient Mystic Mode to the next level.

In my opinion, if they can actually morph...then they count as rangers.

Magna Defender would be, since he was the 6th ranger,as is Solaris Knight. But the other 2 aren't.

I've never really understood what the hell they are, or how they can power up to look like the real team. It was never explained.

I fairly sure we haven't seen of the Rangers on Jungle Fury remove their helmets. Does that make them only Ranger-like and not real Rangers?

My point is using the point that we never saw the Magna Defender remove his helmet is a very weak argument.

I follow what SPR says, if they have a device which transform them into a superhero in spandex. They are a ranger

This is an actual reference from the show, that contradicts the opinions of fans. Also if it's from the show, it's harder tham diamonds, it's the canon, so anything deviating away from that is fanfiction. Basically.

Well if they had gotten Zhane for the episode, it would've been called "Power to the Twelth". Everyone had a partner in the final battle against the Psychos except Mike, who battled Deviot (or was it Treacheron?).

What does that have to do with Trakeena calling a group of 10 rangers 10 when if Magna was a ranger she would have said 11? Even if Zhane was there, this isn't about the title of the episode its about what Trakeena said in the episode after.

They are knights. There is an episode of mystic force where this snake monster eats Chip, Xander, and Madison. Right before she picks up Daggeron to eat him she says "Are knights as tasty as rangers?" Seems like if Daggeron was a ranger that question wouldn't have been asked. Also, in the MF finale when Lienbow and Daggeron get there powers taken Lienbow says "he devoured our knight powers." Again an indication that they are knights and not rangers. And even if those lines weren't said, Mike totally disproves the logic of those who say "if you morph you're a ranger" or "if you work with the team you are a ranger" which is why most people think Daggeron and lienbow have to be considered rangers.

I'll say they apply Ranger-Like technology, but that they aren't specifically rangers.

I consider their 'Power Knight' forms more of a fusion between Ranger Technology and their Ancient Mystic Modes.

I don't think just because they morphed into spandex, they are automatically rangers, because it was never stated thats true.

Also in every circumstance where they should have been considered Rangers, they were called Knights, even when the others were called Rangers.

Magna Defender: Mike morphed into this entity. Magna Defender wasn't so much a set of powers as it was a person. I think of it like this: If Rocky had morphed into Blue Senturion after we met him as a separate character, would that have made Rocky the Blue Senturion Ranger? No.

L: Had an armored form, changed colors to become good. Rangerlike Ally is what I'd technically refer to Leanbow as. Ranger? No.

SK: Had a costumed form that was an obvious deviation from the main MF Ranger costumes. I'd tend to call him a Ranger, Ancient Mystic form or no. Knight seems like more of a title.

Because I've heard many people call him a ranger before. There reasoning was because "he had a zord and worked with the team".

I don't agree with the 'name' thing. I see Solaris Knight as a Ranger and Phantom Ranger as a Ranger Ally. I base this solely on looks and the way the character acts and how the character is used.

I consider no one of them as a ranger. A ranger is for me someone who morphs (excludes the Blue Senturion and the original Magna Defender) and wears a battlesuit (spandex-suit in real), not an armor, afterwards. But the most important thing for me is, that a character is considered as a ranger in the show (what excludes them all).

If I had to rank them in closeness:

1. Solaris Knight
2. Magna Defender
3. Leanbow
4. Blue Senturion
