In 2020 the world is a harsh shadow of it's once vibrant self. An unprecedented global recession has gripped communities by the throat and the world is in both culturally and morally lethargic. The poorest people are now most at peace as the world that once looked down on them crumbles down to their level. The rich become ever greedier serving to only bankrupt themselves financially and spiritually. Banks fall, governments pass and people foot the bill. With the East seizing momentum some say it is the end of Western culture, while others await a renaissance of the soul in order for us to crawl out of the pit of self pity in which we have buried ourselves. Some say, the devil has come for their souls.
But not everyone is so pessimistic. Those who have embraced the simpler ways forced upon us our financial ruin have found a new respect for the world and for each other. Amongst these is Alex, who begrudgingly has followed her mother into a small settlement of 'Bio's', people who have embraced greener living and are forging a future based of mutual sharing of the societies resources and not on personal gain. She'd still rather she had her PS3, but the love for her mother keeps her on this path to redemption. A path she could scarcely have imagined would lead her to the future destiny has drawn out for her. Destiny has spoken, her future, is our last chance.
