Super Sentai 2010: Tensou Sentai Goseiger Rumor thread

Rumors thread for 2010 Sentai, take each one with a grain of salt.


On to the title. The rumored title for this rumor is:

"Youkai Sentai Bakeranger"

Roughly translated it means "Demon Sentai Ghostranger"

However, the Youkai here probably refers more to the word apparition, synonomous most of the time with ghost or spirt.


-The Bug/Train rumor is still the main rumor, as of now, for next year's sentai. The Ghost rumor seems to be the secondary, but there seems to be more "legitimate" facts about the bug/train than there is about the ghost rumors, as in the rumors for the bug theme follow that of past sentai rumors.


Here is a list of the possible colors/motifs for the bug/train rangers:

Red- Beetle
Black- Stag Beetle
Blue- Dragonfly
Yellow- Butterfly
Pink- Ladybug


This rumor states that the "apparition" based sentai may be focusing on giving the rangers youkai, as their mecha. As always please take everything with a grain of salt:

Red- Hot blooded w/sense of justice.
His motif/mecha is that of an Oni (Ogre)


Blue- Happy-go-lucky type of person.
His motif/mecha is that of a Kappa (Water Imp)



Black- tough guy of the group
His motif/mecha is that of a Crow/Tengu



White- cool beauty
Her motif/mecha is that of a Yuki-Onna (Snow Woman/Snow Fairy)



Pink- easily embarrased, but also has a perserveering spirit
Her motif/mecha is that of a Bakeneko/Nekomata (Ghost cat)

^^ I find that rumour hard to believe since theres no Yellow Ranger, every season (except 3, IIRC) has had one .

Rumor update:

-A new rumor has showed up that is quite interesting, involving the new team being a group of professional Monster-Taiji (Monster Hunters.) What's very interesting is that the rumor is fairly close to the ghost one, and it's possible that that rumored either spawned from, or evolved into this, as this one seems a little bit more plausible, as far as sentai is concerned.

-The rangers hunt down monsters who infest various places of the city. The monsters they fight can be captured, allowing the rangers to use the captured monster's powers.

-The team of 5 rangers will have already captured partner monsters before the series' beginning. These monsters are based on Legendary Beasts.

-By fighting with the other monsters, the rangers are able to seal them into medals, crystals and other such items. The monsters are then referred to as "Key Items", which activate different powers and weapons.




Take the above with a grain of salt, though it's really interesting, and it seems to be a natural progression from Shinkenger.

Sounds nice.More like Digimon, if each Ranger has a specific partner beast. The only Pokemon which acts as a partner in that way is Ash Ketchum's Pikachu in the anime and the Pokemon Yellow game.

The Space theme would mean that they're finally copying the motif from Power Rangers in Space. About time. If PR can do it, no reason SS can't.

The Navy and Crimson mecha were modelled off insects - so still animals. Fair point about Shurikenger's helicopter mecha though, but it was primarily an animal mecha series.

Shinkenger's mecha are hybrid. Kanji shapes mixed with paper folded animals.

In any case, the pattern seems to not exist.

For the 2nd robo, I'm thinking that there is going to be consisting of TenshiPoseidon (the head, torso and posterior), TenshiPhorcys (the chest), TenshiTriton (the arms), TenshiAmphitrite (the legs), and TenshiCetus (backpack part with the tail covering the lower half of the robo to make it more merman-like). Of course, it would be named "AtlantiDaiOh." A Megazord based on a merman...

It can combine with TenkuuOh to become AtlantiTenkuuOh...

Cards becoming more ''official''

As pretty much expected, it has been posted that the next Sentai's arsenal, (pretty much confirmed to use cards), will use Data Cards, which will also double as a card game. Not sure if the Sentai Data Cards will be compatible with Ganbaride, but Bandai not taking advantage of cross promotion is unlikely. Besides which, if they do another team up (New Sentai and Double, and maybe then Decade too), the cards would be a cool way to unite both shows.

Following a sketch by the poster, (not something I'll post right now; It's literally just basic helmets with visors), the following info was posted. The following is to be taken with a grain of salt:

-The rangers' visors will be shapes, based on original card suits. They are:
Red- Star
Blue- Square
Yellow- Triangle
Green- X
Pink- Circle

-The suits used have similar attributes to the actual card suits, and the cards themselves are part of the Data Card Das gaming system.

-The rangers are able to grow their cards giant, turning them into their mecha. The mecha themselves resemble Hibiki's Disk Animals. I'm not sure if the rumor states that two of the mecha will be a Dragon and a Phoenix, or if the 5 mecha can unite to form a Dragon, or a Phoenix. The show will feature a gattai series as well.

-The rumored story is the following:
12 "Card Users" from another world come to Earth to invade it. However, 5 of them rebel against the others, instead deciding to save the Earth. Now, the 5-ranger Sentai must compete against the others to collect the 52 cards-of-magic scattered about the Earth...

-Pink, who seems to be the only girl in the group, is rumored to come from the same agency as Yamamoto Hikaru (Narumi Akiko of W). However, this bit of info is to be taken with an even greater grain of salt.


More info as it comes guys. However, if even that story is true, I'm really excited.

More Card Sentai Rumors

-Some of the cards themselves will not be of the same thickness as the Ganbaride Cards. They'll be a lot thicker, and will be able to play sounds by themselves, along the lines of the Enjin Souls and Gaia Memories. Some of the cards will either be the henshin devices, or activate them. Other cards, namely those showing the beast-mecha, will be more along the lines of the Ganbaride series.

-The core team will be of a 3 + 2 compositon (like Go-onger)

-The 3 team is composed of Red, Blue and Yellow. The secondary team is composed of Green and Pink.

-Green and pink's mecha are not known, but the 3-team seems to be composed of the following:
Red- Dragon (Temporary)
Blue- Unicorn
Yellow- A Bird

-The first robot will be Red's Dragon, which can transform into a robot on its own. The toy will go for 5,000 yen.

-Blue's Unicorn and Yellow's Bird will be able to gattai into a Pegasus. They will be sold as a set.

-The henshin series and mecha series will be compatible. The mecha are able to hold the corresponding cards of the rangers

-The 1st Robo (Dragon) and the Pegasus (Unicorn + Bird) will be able to unite into a bigger robot. This robot will have cards displayed on its chest and shoulders

-The rangers' gun weapon seems to be the card reader. It may be a bit pricey.

Could be a photoshop of the red pic, but, it would made sense if the core team of 3 looked pretty much the same. Again, the rumor about the visor (a square) holds true, if the pics are real.

Note:
Just noticed that Blue is trimmed in silver, while Red is trimmed in Gold. Even Blue's changer seems to be silver, versus red's gold, which is really interesting. The "W" on the chest, and the wing design on both helmets got me thinking:

The core team's rumored mecha are a Dragon, Unicorn, and Bird (where the Unicorn and Bird unite to form a Pegasus.) In other words, animals that can fly. Perhaps our core team is the "wing team", and the others subsequent teams take over the ground, the sea, etc.

according to the latest rumors, Green will have a Cobra Monster. His Weapon will be a Cobra Rod. It is not known what Pink's monster is yet.

Red's monster seems to be called "SutsuDragon" (Suit Dragon)

Still not sure if the red and blue pics are legit, but, we'll see. If they are legit, there is a chance that some detailing will be added to them. (We had the same situation with Magiranger.)



If Red and Blue are males, which they are rumored and pictured to be, at this point, then yellow would have to be a female. (This is assuming the consistent rumors of the starting 3-team to be right.) We've only had 1 instance in Sentai where a 3-team was all male.

-Following the new "fad" of recent years, and picking up from the creative design of Shinkenger's OriGami, Goseiger's monster-mechs will lay dormant in shape-forms. (Star, Square, Triangle, X, Circle.) When their respective card is instered, the mecha awaken.

For instance, demonstrated in the pic, when GoseiRed inserts his Dragon-Card into the the cardslot on his mecha, the sound "Go! Seiger Go! Go Go Dragon!!" is heard.

-The 5 piece gattai seems to have:
Red- Chest and Head
Green- Arms
Yellow- Waist
Blue- Right Leg

pink looks cool, I like the that the design is essentially the same, just adjusted for having a skirt. We can also see the belt buckle a lot more clearly in her pic. It seems to be a shield, with angel wings.

As for the rumor update, it should make a bunch of people happy. This is quoted right from my blog:

-It seems those who wanted a male yellow, may get their wish. Because of pink's rumored, split personality (ala Double, Vancuria), our 5 team, would actually be a 6-team, and so that's were the rumors got construed regarding 1 or 2 girls.
The existing rumor of the bird uniting with blue's unicorn still stands, only now the bird mecha has been changed to being pink's. We'll have to wait for more info, and an official pic of yellow though.


So yeah, a male yellow is in the cards, but we have to wait for more info. While this new info says Pink combines with Blue, their trimming is not the same. (She's gold like Red). I could see a situation in which Red, Green and Pink combined, while Yellow and Blue combined into the Pegasus, and then those two combined further into the 5-gattai. But we'll see.

Tensou Beast Rumors/Cobra Ranger to be Black
First things first. A heap of rumor updates suggests that a 6th ranger (Black) will be the one who will have the cobra motif. Sort of makes sense, seeing as how there are supposed to be a bunch of evil "rangers." A cobra makes a great make, but it makes an even better mecha for an antihero.


Okay, onto this new rumor. So, this rumor says that the rangers beasts will be called the "Tensou Beasts", and of course, their cards are the "Tensou Beast Cards."

Here is the rumored laist of our core rangers' beasts:

Red- Tensou HotDragon (Dragon)

Blue- Tensou IceHorse (Horse, according to rumors, a unicorn)

These will act like the gattai series for Goseiger. The heads are swapped out for the mecha that belongs to that tribe.

The composition of GoseiGreat is thus (the animals really are machine-types ala Liveman, Hurricanger etc.)

Blue has a bow gun (neat!)

Yellow has a claw of some sort?

and Pink seems to pose a gun of some sorts.

Essential three mele weapons and two long range weapons. A nice blend. Their side arms are more interesting though!

It is obviously a gun...

That has a to be activated with a head piece? (all rangers have their own)

The side arm seems very Gaoranger and Abaranger. Different pieces for different zords and such. (Gao jewels and those weird head thingamabob for abaranger)

Plus the zords seem to be able to change powers rather getting a new zord. This is new considering that the zords actually get power ups to use in battle.

Overall i get a very (extremely) old school feeling from this season. Toei and Bandai and such seem to be bringing old ideals to a new age. Lately we have been seeing a trend of new. (gekinger and no belts for example) I like this old school approach. i dont really want to see this in season after this one but i do want to see how this pans out.

For the costumes... they are funky looking. WAY too much going on. They should have toned it down. They seem more like power uniforms then basic startup uniforms (no want i'm saying?!)

and the yellow one gives a boukenger vibe, at least with the constructiony vehicle thing going on.

the only thing is that the seems to be looking weak. The guys don't look like they are strong and both the girls seem bubbly which weakens the team. This team might be somewhat light and funny like go-onger. But can't say any of this fa sha until the 30th.

RaiDen Gattai DX GoseiDaiOh
-comes with 3 GoseiHeaders and 1 GoseiCard. Has 5 Header joints.




DX RaiDenTou RaikouDenzer
-Red's new arms. Header is set in the tip of the sword, activates lights and sound. 1 GoseiCard included. Can be used with GoseiDaiOh.



These two toys rumored need to be taken with a grain of salt, as they were not listed with the GoseiKnight stuff, and so I am suspicious of them. To be fair, we know that another toy, GoseiMic, is coming out soon, or should be, and it was also not with the GoseiKnight stuff. More info as it comes.

While we don't have pics of it yet, here is some info on the super gattai between GoseiGreat and DatasHyper:


-HyperGoseiGreat head is formed by DatasHyper's chest plate. It has goggles

-DatasHyper combines with GoseiGreat by standing on its head, its feet mounted shoulder-cannon style over Great's shoulders.

-GoseiGreat's wings are turned fowards so they are facing out alongside the chest. The 5 Goseiger's headers (with Dragon staying where it is) are placed here

-MantaHeader and TakaHeader attach as knees

-NokogiriHeader and StagHeader attach as hands

-TyrannoHeader and SaiHeader attach as feet

-PteraHeader, CrowHeader, HammerHeader and HyperHeader all atach behind GoseiGreat's shoulder, onto DatasHyper's legs/feet

So I guess GoseiGreat makes its debut in the first episode of Goseiger...just like Daibouken and Engine-Oh did.
