This is a poll to see who do you think would make the best female Red Ranger. Note that in my options, I included the most popular female Rangers.
I would definately pick Jen of Time Force. She was only one of two female leaders in Power Rangers history, and would make a great Red Ranger.

I think Tori would make a good Red Ranger also. At times I also think Lily might also. But Tori would be my first pick as a female Red Ranger. Yes Jen was great but she was already a leader. So people already know she would have a made a good Red Ranger.

Jen, for me. She was a great leader, so she would be the best choice for a female red ranger in my opinion.

Usually i would go for Jen, but for me Jen redefined the role of the pink ranger and is one of the reasons she is among the best; but for a new generation i think someone new and according to this times should step in, and "redefine" the age old stereotype of men only leaders

I'm over Jen, so I say someone like Tori, Dana, Cassie, Kira, Z, or someone of that calibur. Basically, a woman who isn't defined by simply being a woman. A woman with character and all of the traits so prominent with Red Rangers: courage, leadership, and bravery.
Legendary.

I voted Jen.
And for the record. Vida is a man she shouldn't be on this list....=P JK
I voted Jen. Although my heart says Kimberly, Jen's a better leader

I voted Jen, even though I don't really like the character. In all honesty she was a great leader and she would look good in red. My second choice would be Kimberly. I think, if given the chance, she could be a really good leader and be a different type of Red Ranger then we've ever had before. And third I would pick Trini. Something tells me Trini would be an awesome Red Ranger.

Wow. Jen winning the poll. I'm utterly shocked. [/deadpan]
I voted for other. I pick Syd. I'm kind of an ass like that.

Why do people say Jen was a great leader? The only thing she did as the leader was yell at the others. Does every one forget that she did not finish the season as the leader? The team did not flurish under her, and she was the most bossy leader in history. Don't get me wrong, I like her, but she was not a great leader.
That said I voted Kim. She proved herself in the second and third seasons, where she showed her experience and, unlike Jen her patience.

She also let her emotions affect how she fought in battles, someone like Trini or Dana would be a much better leader. I still like and respect Jen as a character though.

I'm gonna have to go with Jen on this one.

Here's my top 5:
1. Jen- This one's a no-brainer. She's the only ranger on the list aside from Delphine and Taylor with actual full-time leadership experience and she handled herself well for the most part (especially once her temper got toned down).
2. Tori- If were on a ranger team being led by a woman, Tori would be the leader I'd want. She has the courage, skill, intelligence, and personality for an ideal leader. Also, unlike Jen, Tori has a very easy temprement that allows her to make better decisions and be a little more likable by her teammates. The only reason why I rank at number two is, unlike Jen, she wasn't put into a full-time leadership role to test her, so I can't predict 100% of how well she would do unlike with Jen who I know beyond any doubt can handle the role of leader.
3. Delphine- Like Jen, she had the role of full-time leader. Since she and her teammates all survived and succeeded in their missions, I can say with 100% confidence that she is capable of managing the role. However, I would rather take my chances with Tori even though she has less experience. I'm not trying to say Delphine is bad. I just think Tori's a little better.
4. Taylor- Like Delphine and Jen, Taylor also played the role of team-leader for a decent amount of time, even though she abdicated those duties upon Cole's appearence. She obviously has the aggressive personality and fighting skills to be a leader, but her temper is just too volatile. I would hate to have her as my leader. I'd trust her to get the job done, but I would not like her as a person and I think it's important for the leader to be liked by the team. True, Jen had the same problem at times and I ranked her at number one, but unlike Taylor, Jen eventually lightened up and was usually a nice person when something tragic wasn't going on in her life. Taylor was irritable almost 24/7.
5. Dana- Dana's personality is not as aggressive as the aforementioned, but she still has leader-like qualities. Her primary asset is her intelligence, particularly in nursing and technology. Her resourcefulness could come in handy in tight spot. She also has a very calm and easy-going personality to help her keep a cool-head and likeable to her teammates. She gets ranked lower because her personality is more passive and she lacks the fighting skills of the others, but she'd still make a good leader I think.

Not to sound insulting, but Jen cooled off Wes was the leader. Also How can people even mention Delphine, she was in 6 episodes.

in my most humble opinion, anyway...

Its an open poll where you can view who I voted for so I don't need to state a thing.

And, to be perfectly honest, I have NEVER been too impressed with Jen or her so-called 'leadership'. Just because you're 'bossy', it doesn't make you a leader.
And, like Delphine, she was the 'Tactical Leader' (even after Wes joined, I believe), but on the field I can only clearly remember one instance (that involved running on the side of a parked van) where she ever showed leadership on the battle field.
As it stands, I just don't get the Jen love. But, hey, that's just me and my opinion-- I've been at odds with others over my opinions before.
Jen and Taylor are in the same category to me. I think, if given the chance, characters like Alyssa (That's right, WF White Alyssa), Z, and yes even Kimberly could be great Red Rangers.

If you're saying Kim could be a good Red Ranger but 2nd or 3rd season then you have to say Jen could be a good Red Ranger by the end of the Time Force season. Her personality changed a lot, just look at her in the Time Force/Wild Force team-up. Yeah, she had some issues but she only did everything she did because she was looking out for her team. And while Kim IS my second choice, I'd feel safer with Jen as the leader then her.

I think that Jen became a great ranger after she made Wes the leader. In Wild Force she kept too much to herself. I would feel safest with Kim as the leader, but that's me. You have a different opinion, and I am not insulting any one who likes Jen as the leader. I was just saying that I believe she was not as good as a leader as people were saying.

Jen didn't make Wes a leader xD xD She was the leader through the whole thing.... "Trust and triumph", Wes himself says "We expect you to lead us!"... Yeah..and in the episode before End Of Time, she says that she's sorry for being to hard on them as the leader. :3 But let's just drop this here and now...people think differently..and I don't want ANOTHER Jen vs Wes discussion... The last one turned out as a disaster

Precisely.. Jen led through the first half but it was Wes in the remaining half far as I could see.

I believe the actual quote was "You won't open up and yet you expect us to follow you?"

Agreed.
I have to go with Karone here. She has quite a bit of experience, most probably would be nice and practical with the others. Besides, she has an interesting resume.

...TF is my favorite season....I have seen it more than one time..and all I saw was, Wes taking some chances...jus because he took some wild chances doesn't make him the leader... Jen could have kicked Wes out of the team when she wanted too, but Wes couldn't kick out Jen...
That parts definitely not true. Its not true for Jen or any other leader in PR. You can't just kick somebody off the team because you're the leader and for no real reason. She would have to have a valid reason to kick him off just like anybody else.

Lol, I meant as she did in "Force from the future 2" :3 She could've done that later in the season as well... but her heart grew bigger and bigger during the season
They just met him which is why she could have done that early on, but later in the season there's no way she could have done it. You can't just kick a team member off for no reason leader or not.

Well, she could do it if she had a reason.....Wes couldn't kick her out unless the others agreed
Anybody could get kicked off the team with a reason. Even the leader. You've seen Time force so I'm sure I don't have to mention how long Alex lasted as the rangers leader.

Jen is the best choice since she probably has the most leadership was the toughest PR girl we had in awhile. She might as well had been the Red Ranger during TimeForce.
2nd would have to go to Kim, by the time S3 came around she had grown enough and could lead the team if need be.
3rd would go to Taylor since wasnt she leading WildForce before whats his name showed up to take the mantle of Red Ranger?
