American Dad is the best!

Even though they are all entirely different types of comedy.

I've never seen the Cleveland Show and American Dad seems like a show entirely made up of lame jokes that didn't make the cut for Family Guy.

Seth Macfarlane prefers to write for American Dad.

American Dad is completely different from Family Guy, Family Guy is based upon catching the veiwer with a "WTF" type of humor that is just so ridiculous/pathetic you have to laugh at it. While American Dad is all about being clever and getting the viewer thinking about the jokes, its a borderline intellectual humor much like South Park is. American Dad now is what Family Guy Use to do up until the 3rd/4th season in that Family Guy use to be extremly clever and tried to get things past the censors where as now they just coem right out and say 'Fuck'.

I only like Family Guy and Cleveland Show. i'm not sure if American Dad has funny clips thingy (example: Andy Garica's twin interrupted his date with some chick) like two other shows.. it's why

No, American Dad doesn't have the cutaway gags. It's more "serious.":p

I would've voted for Family Guy but that would mean I would also vote for the recent seasons.

So, American Dad for me.

Seth Macfarlane prefers to write for American Dad.

And that matters why?

While American Dad is all about being clever and getting the viewer thinking about the jokes, its a borderline intellectual humor much like South Park is.

I've seen some episodes of American Dad and I never felt like it was in the same league as South Park. South Park actually makes me laugh and American Dad at best gives me mild giggles. I can literally sit through an entire episode of American Dad and maybe giggle once. It's not that I can't pick up on the clever jokes, it's that they mildly amuse me but don't make me laugh. If a comedy show largely fails to make me laugh out loud, it's an epic fail for me.

once again completely different types of humor between South Park and American Dad.

American Dad is either love it or hate very few are inbetween.
