Story:

BAND AUDITIONS: Seniors Paul Munday and Kyle Storme are holding auditions for positions in a currently unnamed band to compete in the annual Battle of the Bands at the Parks and Recreation Center. At the moment, the positions open are for a lead guitarist, bassist, keyboarder, lead singer, and a DJ. The style we're going for is a mix of Nu Metal, Alternative Rock, Funk Rock, and Grunge. If you think that this is your style or you want to try something new, come to room 445 on the West Wing, where we will be analyzing participants and making cuts for membership. We're looking for 3 qualities in each of our members. Skill, Availability, and Passion. You must possess all of these qualities if you want to be apart of our band. Even though our primary goal is to win the Battle of the Bands, we're going above and beyond with our music and the only way we can do that is with the most dedicated band-mates. If you think you have what it takes, come to the audition with all of the skill and attitude that you have and show us what you've got!

Hello, Everyone. This is the latest RPG to be developed by GPR/Onlyne Productions. In this one, you will be high school student that attends the Tyro Academy for the Uniquely Gifted, a school for teens with special powers. Your character is a talented musician who takes the opportunity to join a band, but in the process, gets mixed into a dangerous world of band rivalries, drugs, and demonic supernatural entities that are trying to drain every inch of life from our world. You may just get more than you bargained for. But hey, its the price of fame...

You can pick basically anything as long as its not something specific to a certain universe, for example like a mutant from X-men(Although regular mutants are allowed as long as they don't direct towards that franchise.)

I would be more than happy to supply you and GPR with an extended biography detailing the relationship that Amy has with the symbiote. I just wanted it to be a bit of a surprise, which stunted the original bio. I won't be giving away the symbiote's origins, just the backstory behind how Amy has dealt with the symbiote and it's enhancements to her body, as well as the 'enhancements' it has performed on her mind.

That's a cool idea Geki, but just to be on the safe side, yes you should PM the story to us so we can figure out how we want to work it into the story.

Othe than that, we're pretty much ready to begin. The story thread will be starting in the time between tonight and tomorrow. In the meantime, express any ideas you might have for storylines and ventures for the crew to go on. We're totally open to ideas.

If possible I'd like to work my character's father's killers into the story somewhere. Either somehow connected to the main villains or just my character finding out who they are.

Sure, we can work that in Hades! Perhaps Phaid robbed a bank to get the money to finance their band and future tours or something. Or maybe it was simplay another follower of Malphas. See if you can find a connection that works and we can help you develop it.

And I was also thinking of somehow getting Makamou and Oni involved into the RPG as well.

I haven't really worked out a story, but I'll probably have something as we progress through the RPG.

I have an idea, maybe my character could bite someone, of course I know that would be dramatic and may take a huge turn in the game. Of course my character would have to deal with that and all the drama, but I just thought I would put it out there.

These ideas are great and can work very well as the whole thing with Phaid is the main story but we can easily have side stories and enemies as well so feel free to come up with some more to create to your liking.

Once we complete the beginning phases of the game, you guys will have the liberty of creating your own story arcs and what not. You can actually start doing that now if you see fit. For added measure should you decide to do so, by the end of the beginning phase of the game, we will have already been well acquainted with Phaid, learned their true intentions, and gone through the Battle of the Bands, so you'll have ALOT to work with outside of that.

Alright guys sorry to double post but the game has now begun. Your first post should be yourself introduced to us, having them tell some of their history and play a sample of their best song solo, rift, or sample that they know. Our characters can be played by you guys for a brief time as long as you use us in good light as far as our reactions to your playing goes. That's at least how it'll start out, further information will be given later.

Alright good job everybody. The only problem is that you guys have gotten something confused. We're not practicing in a room, we're practicing in a hallway, which is why I told you guys to go to another hallway. GekiViper, you especially got something confused because we're not at the Rec. Center, we're at the school in the West Wing near Room 445. We're doing Battle of the Bands at the Rec. Center, which we haven't gotten to yet. You guys don't necessarily have to change anything, but I just needed that to be known.

Its okay Geki, just make sure you read a little clearer next time. It happens though. BTW, in the post I make, I use GPR's character alot so just know, we've discussed what both characters will say ahead of time, so you don't think I'm cheating GPR out of the experience lol. What his character says has been decided on.

Masquerade, I had an idea about I wanted to pass by you. With your character being a vampire and mine being half-angel, it's kind of a unholy meets holy thing. I know your character doesn't want anyone knowing she's a vampire but I think it would be appropriate if mine could "sense" something was different about her. Not that she is vampire exactly, but just be able to tell something was off about her.

Just so everyone knows, we really are open to suggestions for the bands name. Once all suggestions are made, we will vote via PM and then I will announce the name that won in the game. So think of some good ones!

Hey, I had a quick question before I posted, are you two planning on using the "Rockland" name for anything else other then the title? If not I was wondering if I could use that as my suggested name for the band?

Well its also the name of the city that the story takes place in but I've heard of a band using the name of their city as their band name before. I just wanted everyone to have a say in what the band name should be.

just an idea since all the members are....well....inhuman.

My two suggestions were 'Gilgamesh' and 'Eye of the Beholder.' Neither of them have any special meanings, I just like the sound of them.

Alright guys we've reached the next part of the game. All you have to do is play a rift(you don't have to use a video like you did before unless you want) or a sample of your best work in the presence of your counterpart and depending on how you want it to go, you can have yourself be defeated by your counterpart(don't worry, you can get your revenge later) or you can defeat them. For those that have to play their samples with another member(Ex. Me and Ken, Amy and Lana) play whatever you can but let the second person post the reaction of your counterpart. Sorry if this is as complicated as it sounds, if you have any questions, let me know here.

I promise its smooth sailing after this point lol.

I actually kinda think that our band beating the Phaid would be a great reason for them to hate us even more, and probably go as far as trying to kill us.

Well considering what I had planned for later in the game, it really doesn't matter who wins and who loses. It'll just show that we're not all perfect or better than Phaid if we lose and that way we can have a sweeter victory when we actually do beat them later.
