View Full Version : [PR] RPM Venjix

After watching Doctor K episode I conclude that this Venjix is not the same as the one from Forever Red. First clue is that the Alphabet Soup agents gave Dr. K a black laptop and asked her to design a "special computer program". Then after that we see Dr. K working on another different computer. We see the black laptop again when she says she uploaded the Venjix Virus. And when Dr K. tries to escape the agents asks for the black laptop and says "no one must know that Venjix started here."
So my theory is that Alphabet soup had Dr. K design a deadly computer program virus and called it Project Venjix to attack enemy computer systems and Dr. K uploaded a portion of it and without the firewall it grew unstable. Remember that it took Venjix three years to conquer earth and the first year it infected 37% of the world computer systems.
Now I know that there are theories that the government went into space and found Venjix parts because it was so advance or to study it, but there was no need to go into space for technical reasons. The PR universe had people living in a space colony called Terra Venture, had manmade rangers and zords (Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, SPD, Operation Overdrive). So compared to that finding scattered pieces of General Venjix would be small potatoes. (technical wise)

Well I am a stubborn geek, until this season ends, I still like to beleive that the two are some how related.

I still think they could be the same.

If the Venjix of RPM is linked with the Machine Empire General, I'd like to think it supports RPM being the end of PR, and would give the season somewhat of a closure plus a link back to past seasons to avoid the whole "seperate timeline" people are worried about, as well as rounding off the events.
If the name of Venjix is only a coincidence (like a Frax in Timeforce and Thrax in OAR kind of coincidence), I'd like to think Shinkenger is getting adapted after instead, and Power Rangers would continue.
I'm keeping my hopes up for both options.
Also I'm kind of at a conflict because I'm highly sure that PR isn't ending yet I'm really for the idea of the Venjix virus being the same Venjix as the Machine Empire General.
Either way, even though I'm trying to keep both options open, I'm still going to be disappointed some way lol.

Why would anyone think there was a connection between Frax and Thrax? Because their names rhyme? This is different because this is the first time two main villains from different seasons have the same name which is why there may be a connection.

I could see machine empire tech being the basis for Venjixs self awareness, but i dont think they would actually need General Venjixs parts for that.I mean really the zeo ranger didn clean up the messes they made from destroying ciountless cogs and other bots from the mcahine empire.
in fact it would be hella hilarious if the tech is know to be machine empire but they didn't know about Gen.-Venjix.
Now if Alphabet Sout did know about Gen.-Venjix do they have connections to LSR and the Silver Guardians?Because Carter,Wes & Eric where the only publicly known rangers at the time of forever red and could have reported that a threat did happen then.

Well to me sounds better if venjix (from rpm) have nothing to do with any machine empire or from the venjix of rpm. There were so many aliens monsters demons ancient evil spirits etc that tried to took over the world but all failed. it is kinda of ironic that a computer virus succeeded to where all these failed :D:D

Did you do English Language? F and TH both have the -th- sound, they don't just ryhme, they're pronounced exactly the same.
Doggie or Doggy, for example, sound exactly the same.
I'm not saying there is a connection between Frax or Thrax, obviously, I was using the coincidence of the name to compare a debatable situation with the two Venjix's we now have within the PR franchise.
Personally, I don't like the idea of it being a coincidence, and obviously both being machines with an empire would seem to lower it's validity.

On a mission to the moon, some mechanical debris was found. The government tried to find out just what this tech was. Venjix? What could this be?
An encrypted rocket code? A thermal sensetive guidance system? What are the origins of these machine biotoxins?
Now, can we use these codes to make a very special computer program?
Alphabet Soup was a government program developed to try and understand that technology. These child geniuses were assembled in order to discover just what it was.
K broke the codes of Venjix and created the virus from it. And the government program Alphabet Soup inadvertantley helped to spread it worldwide.

And Zeo will finally get an ending.
Zeo-->Forever Red-->RPM

Actually, I never thought of it that way! :O
Zeo would get the closure it lacked too.
Shame RPM isn't going to have a Zeo teamup.

Ok, I understand the confusion here. What you describe is certainly true of the "Queen's English" spoken with a local accent, but not necessarily of English as a worldwide language. In many accents used in various English-speaking countries, F and TH are pronounced differently. So you know the difference between the two, in the way I pronounce them (I'm American, BTW), TH is pronounced by pressing the tongue between the top and bottom front teeth and blowing lightly, and the F sound is pronounced by putting the top front teeth on the bottom lip and blowing lightly. I seem to recall hearing TH pronounced as our F often with British accents, so I assume that's how you pronounce it.
Anyway, Thrax and Frax are definitely pronounced differently in the show, whether or not you would read the two names the same way. After all, all but a few characters who have ever been on the show speak with what is supposed to be an American accent, an accent in which F and TH are pronounced differently.

Ok, well, for starters, I'm presuming you know that English as a language CAME from England, so it's absurd to assume the motherland of the worldwide language is the deviant one.
Secondly. No it's not just Queen's English at all. It's amusing that people think everyone in the UK talks that way, there are far more accents thrown around the place than that one, not even the royal family speak it anymore thanks to a little thing called downward convergence.
Thirdly. So, you don't pronounce Thrax in Once a Ranger as f-r-a-x like it's said on the show, but as... the-ax
That's kinda weird.

This makes perfect sense to me. A branch of the US Government was formed which was they called Alphabet Soup in order to study the technology behind the machine empire. More then likely so they could use it to create weapons. I have no doubt the ones in charge of Alphabet suit knew exactly what they were dealing with. However they pretty much lied to Dr. K about what it was exactly she was dealing with. It is likely she had no idea she was working on what was left of the remnents of the machine empire. Considering the age at which she was taken, it is likely that she might not have even had much knowledge of machine empire. If RPM is in fact some time after SPD. She might not have even known the machine empire had even existed. Even if it is before SPD, she might not have known much about it.
Red Master, during the time of forever red, the government would have known of the identities of Space Rangers, Lightspeed Rescue Rangers and very likely the wild force rangers. It isn't like the wild force rangers did a lot to hide their identities. It is possible after PRLG that their identities were revealed as well. Also judging by how Tommy was easily able to get together all the red rangers in forever red, it is safe to assume he has some government contacts as well. Here is how they were prob even alerted to Venjix. Space Rangers discover what Venjix is up to. They contact NASADA. NASADA alerts the rest of the government. The government begins rounding up remaining red rangers. They possibly get in touch with Tommy through Justin. Remember Justin was the one who informed NASADA about the turbo rangers needing to get in to space. He even mentioned Eltar to them and the director recognized the name of that planet. So the government contacts Tommy thanks to Justin they also contact SPD and possibly the silver guardians. The space rangers alert the lost galaxy rangers and Aquatar. Meanwhile Tommy alerts Jason and Carter goes and recruits Cole.

You know if this is connected to General Venjix, then the machine empire would make PR's most persistent Villains next to Zedd and Rita.

Far as Venjix goes, so far, the connection seems like kind of a stretch to me, even for PR. I'm sure Eddie knew about a past villain named Venjix though, so won't put it past him to make a connection in the end or something. But the only connection I can make right now, is that Dr. K knew of a villain from the past who faced 10 Red Rangers and took inspiration to name her virus after it, which could be just as deadly.
Ok, well, for starters, I'm presuming you know that English as a language CAME from England, so it's absurd to assume the motherland of the worldwide language is the deviant one.

Forgive me, but you're actually basing facts off the way the language is pronounced in one region. Honestly, I could never have imagined Thrax and Frax being pronounced the same way. I saw no connection till you pointed it out and I'm willing to accept it may sound the same to you, but "th" and "f" have very little in common the way english is generally spoken (not debating the authenticity of the language coming from England of course)
