Most dominant tag team since 2000? WWE, Hardy's, Londrick, or Miz and Morrison. TNA, LAX, Team 3D.

Monday Night – September 8th, 2008

Show Opening:
Lillian introduces Chris Jericho as the new champion and he comes to the ring. He says that he is Chris Jericho and he’s the new World Heavyweight Champion. He says, for those of us that didn’t see Unforgiven, he will explain if you’re a little confused. (The fans begin a You Suck chant). He says that last night he faces a hypocritical HBK. He says that Michaels always walks about being a good person and turning the other cheek, well let him show us what this good person did to him. Jericho then removes his jacket and his shirt to reveal several large bruises, welts and a bandaged elbow. He asks what kind of a man would do this to another man; he says HBK would because he is a hypocrite. He says that HBK maimed him and everyone enjoyed every minute. He says that that match was unsanctioned and therefore it doesn’t exist, so what did HBK really accomplish? Nothing. He then asks what he himself accomplished, which was this, and he holds up the title. He says that six months ago he told us that good things happen to good people and he is a good person. He is a good and righteous man and always does what he says he is going to do, and now he is the champion. He says he was in his locker room when Mike Adamle walked in, told him that Orton had kicked Punk in the head and taken him out of the Scramble. He says that he entered the match, and won the title. He says that now, not only did he beat Stone Cold and The Rock in the same night to become the first Undisputed Champion, but he also beat Batista, Kane, Mysterio, and JBL in the same night.

[Mike Adamle comes out to the stage]

He says that last night CM Punk suffered a concussion at the hands of Randy Orton, and he had to find a championship caliber replacement in a short time. He says that Jericho lived up to that and now he is the champion. He then says that technically, CM Punk lost the title without getting a chance to defend it. Therefore, next week, Chris Jericho will defend his World Title against CM Punk, and to make sure there is no outside interference, it will be inside a 15 foot high Steel Cage. Jericho says he’s fine with that and says that if Adamle has nothing more, he is tired of being here with all these hypocrites, and he would live to take his title and leave. Adamle says to hold on a minute because there it more. Since the Steel Cage match isn’t until next week, he still needs a main event for tonight. After what happened, he can’t think of a better main event then Chris Jericho vs. Batista. Jericho clearly is not happy with this turn of events.

- Commercial Break #1 -

Candice comes to the ring and sits in a director like chair in front of the announce table. It is noted that she will face the winner of this match for the Women’s Title at No Mercy next month.

Match #1: Women’s Title – Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James:
They lock up and Mickie applies an abdominal submission but Beth reverses and drops Mickie throat first on the apron. She then throws her face first into the ring post. She throws Mickie back in the ring and scores a near fall. She applies an armbar, lifts Mickie by the arm, and then torques it as she drips her. She picks her up by the arm again but Mickie reverses and locks a leg around Beth. She manages to get onto the top rope but Beth throws her off. Beth tries to drop Mickie onto the rope but she bounces over her and then picks Beth up and slams her. Beth gets right back on the offensive and attacks Mickie’s shoulder some more. Mickie reverses with some blocks, a right, and then drops Beth on her head. Beth gets up and goes back at the arm but Mickie reverses. Beth comes back and throws Mickie to the apron. She tries to bounce off the ropes and onto Beth, but she is caught by the legs. Beth then slams Mickie head first into the mat and then and rolls her up for the win.

Backstage:
Jamie Noble and Layla are in the back. He says that she is his lucky charm and that’s why he beat Regal last week. He says that he and Regal now each have a victory over each other and they are looking to break that tie tonight. He asks her to accompany him to the ring tonight, which she initially says no to.. He then says he has something special for her, and says to hit it. Jillian gets up from a nearby chair and begins (badly) singing a song about Layla, which Noble sort of dances along to. After a few minutes, Layla gets Jillian to leave she agrees to accompany Noble to the ring. He says that she won’t regret it, and after he beats the tar out of Regal, he’s taking out on the town top notch, he’s talking Olive Garden. He then runs off and Layla cracks a smile.

- Commercial Break #2 -

[When we return, we see the WWE Rewind. It is footage of Regal and Noble’s match from last week]

Match #2: Jamie Noble vs. William Regal:
They lock up and Regal throws rights and lefts and slams Noble to the mat. Noble is whipped off the ropes and tries a shoulder block but it fails. Noble takes Regal down for a moment but he comes back with a vertical suplex. Regal chokes him out on the mat until the ref breaks them up. Regal then applies an arm lock. Noble fights out with elbows but Regal takes him down and rams his knee into the temple of Noble, followed by a near fall. Regal then attacks Noble in the corner but he kicks Regal away, then hits a dropkick off the top rope and scores a near fall. Noble launches himself into the corner but Regal lifts his knees nearly knocking him out. He then rolls him up and picks up the win.

Regal gets a pic and asks what Noble was expecting and says that happy ending only happen in Fairy Tales. Regal walks over to Layla and after a moment, offers his arm, which she takes somewhat confused. They then walk up the ramp and leave as Layla looks back concerned for Noble. Layla stops before walking into the back and looks toward Noble one more time.

- Commercial Break #3 -

This week Charlie Haas is dressed as JBL. He hides in the trunk of JBL’s limo and then asks the driver to let him out because it’s hot in there. He comes out to the same music and mocks JBL. JBL gets a mic and says that Charlie is making fun of him, and he’s got to be kidding him. He yells at Haas and says that he has to respect him whether he likes him or hates him. JBL is clearly livid as the match starts.

Match #3: JBL vs. Charlie Haas (CHL):
The match starts but JBL proceeds to leave without even trying to win and Charlie Haas is given the win via count out.

- Commercial Break #4 -

JBL is in venting to Batista for some reason. JBL says that Charlie Haas has no right to make fun of him. He says that Batista is a main eventer like him, and therefore understands that it is highly inappropriate for Charlie Haas to mock up. He says that he and Charlie Haas have absolutely nothing in common. Batista agrees with this, saying that Haas actually won his match tonight. JBL leaves with a huff, obviously still livid.

Backstage:
Todd Grisham is in the back with Rey Mysterio. He asks if Mysterio knows why Kane attacked him, and he says he has no idea. He says the attack was without provocation and left him in a parking lot, which is why he had to take time off to rehab his body. He then says several lines in Spanish. He says that if he is going to be on RAW he needs to prove that he is strong. He goes on to say that Kane has no right to claim that he killed Rey’s spirit, because he’s still here and still fighting strong.

[Miz and Morrison make their entrances for their match]

- Commercial Break #5 -

Bourne makes his entrance, and we then see Adamle, Long, & Tiffany watching in the back.

Match #4: The Miz and John Morrison vs. Rey Mysterio & Evan Bourne:
Bourne and Morrison start the match and Morrison chokes Bourne in the corner. Bourne comes back with an arm drag and a near fall. He applies an armbar and tags in Mysterio. He rolls Morrison up and scores a near fall. Rey goes off the ropes, dodges Morrison, and is whipped into the corner where he jumps. Morrison slams him on his head and then tags in Miz, who applies an armbar. Rey is whipped into the corner but comes back with a head scissors take down. He tags in Bourne who goes to the top and drops knee first onto Miz’s shoulders. They double team Miz and then Bourne scores a near fall. Morrison is knocked to the outside and then Rey launches Bourne over the top where he lands on Morrison’s shoulders and hits a big Hurricarana taking Morrison to the floor. He then goes to the top but is knocked off by Morrison and lands on his head. Miz gets the tag and Morrison attacks Bourne. He slams him on the mat, and then tags Miz back in. He applies a submission and then lifts Bourne to the top. He rolls off his shoulders, dodge dolls Miz and Morrison, and tags in Mysterio. He goes off the apron, bounces off the ropes, and takes Morrison down to scores a near fall. He then trips Morrison to the second rope and goes for a 619 before Miz comes in illegally and attacks Mysterio. Morrison gets up and bounces off the second rope for a kick but Mysterio ducks and he nails Miz in the face by mistake. Mysterio then jumps off the ropes and hits a Hurricarana which sends Morrison to the second rope. He calls for it and nails the 619 leaving Morrison on his back before tagging in Bourne. Bourne goes to the top rope, hits a beautiful Shooting Star Press, and picks up the win.

As Rey and Evan celebrate, Kane’s fire hits and he appears on screen basked in a red glow. He says that next week Rey will face him one on one. He says that at that moment Rey and everyone else will realize that he is a victim. He says that he chose Mysterio for a reason, and that while he won’t tell him why just yet, he will give him a very big hint. Kane then holds up his old red and black mask as he laughs manically.

- Commercial Break #6 -

[When we return, we see the WWE Slam of the Week which features footage of the assault on Punk last night at Unforgiven]

Randy Orton comes to the ring with new music. He says there is no worse feeling then being on a global stage with the title in your grasp and then getting injured and being u able to compete. He says he isn’t talking about Punk, he’s talking about himself. He reminds us that he has been out after his injury in an Extreme Rules match by Triple H. He says that last night Punk was taken out by a one armed man. He says he actually prevented Punk from being repeatedly assaulted in the Scramble match. He then says that Jericho can feel free to thank him anytime because if it weren’t for him, Jericho wouldn’t have even been in the match let alone have won the title. He then says that once he is fully healed, he will easily take the title back from him.

[Before he can continue, Priceless and Manu interrupt him]

Rhodes says that Orton needs to check his facts, because it was the three of them that assaulted Punk in order to give Orton the chance to punt him. It was them who stopped Kofi Kingston from saving Punk and beat him down for his troubles as well. Therefore, he shouldn’t dare say that he took Punk out alone. Manu says that he isn’t the only one whose father is a Hall of Famer, as his father, Afa the Wild Samoan, is in the Hall of Fame as well. He says that Orton is no better then the three of them. DiBiase then says that last week, Orton slapped Cody in the face last week which was impressive, but what they did to Punk last night was really impressive. Before he can say another word, Orton slaps DiBiase upside the head as well and then slides out of the ring.

- Commercial Break #7 -

Match #5: Kofi Kingston & Cryme Tyme vs. Manu & Priceless:
JTG takes Rhodes in the corner until the ref breaks them up. He stomps Rhodes down until he tags in DiBiase. JTG tags in Kofi who takes Rhodes to the corner and then jumps to his neck area. Rhodes distracts the referee as DiBiase dumps him on the apron and Manu throws Kofi to the floor. They throws Kofi back in, and Manu gets the tag. He goes off the top with a big splash and scores a near fall. DiBiase gets the tag and torques the arm of Kofi while tagging in Rhodes. He applies an arm lock but Kofi fights up and out. He goes for a high cross body but Rhodes ducks. Kofi tries to roll him up from behind and scores a near fall. Shad and DiBiase get the tag and Shad takes all three men down. He uses JTG as a projectile to send Rhodes over the top and to the floor. He then picks DiBiase up and whips him off the ropes. Manu uses this to tag himself in before Shad realizes. He then shows incredible power by picking up Shad and slaming him to the mat, and then picking up the win.

- Commercial Break #8 -

Santino and Beth Phoenix come to the ring. He says he presents to us the Honky Tonka Meter. He says that he has been champion for three weeks which means he is already better then The Mountie. He says that he is only 61 weeks away from being the greatest IC Champion of all time. He then tells them to bring out his opponent.

Match #6: Santino Marella vs. Snitsky:
They lock up and Snitsky takes him down. He then hits a big boot to the face, drops an elbow, and scores a near fall. He throws Santino to the corner and tries to crush him but Santino is pushed out of the way by Beth, leading to Snitsky getting caught up on the top rope. Santino then rolls him up from behind and picks up the win.

Backstage:
Mike Adamle is talking to Kelly in the back. He asks what he was supposed to do last night and says he tried to make a great Scramble last night which is why he chose Jericho for the match. He says that’s why he out five former champions in the match. Jericho walks in and tells Kelly to leave. He says that this main even tonight is totally unfair. He says that he had two matches last night and is in no condition physically or mentally to face Batista. Adamle reminds him that he did him a favor by putting him in that Championship Scramble and that he now needs a favor in return. He says he needs Jericho to find and put on a Main Event level performance against Batista tonight. Jericho then leaves in frustration.

- Commercial Break #9 -

Jericho comes to the ring accompanied by Lance Cade when we return. Batista makes his entrance next.

Match #7: Chris Jericho vs. Batista:
They lock up and Batista slams Jericho into the corner. He throws some rights and then flips him out to the mat. He throws Jericho back into the corner and hits a big right hand. With Jericho on the mat, Batista kicks him in the face and scores a near fall. Batista hits a big backbreaker after which Jericho slides from the ring.

Suddenly, Mike Adamle walks out and says that he apologizes but he is learning on the job. He says that in his haste to make a main event he may have misdiagnosed the condition of Chris Jericho. He says that he needs a Main Event of the highest quality and that he would like to even things up. Therefore, this match will now be a handicapped match featuring Batista against Chris Jericho, and his tag team partner, John Bradshaw Layfield. JBL’s music hits and he walks to the ring as Batista stares him down.

- Commercial Break #10 -

JBL has a headlock on Batista when we return. He goes off the ropes and it hit by a cheap shot by Jericho. He turns around and is taken down by JBL. He then tags in Jericho who stomps Batista down in the corner. JBL gets tagged back in and he distracts the ref while Jericho cheap shots Batista from the corner. JBL takes Batista down and scores two near falls. He then hits a neck breaker and scores another near fall. Jericho gets the tag and he throws rights at Batista until he comes back with a big right of his own. He then cheap shots JBL off the apron and sets Jericho off for the Batista Bomb. Cade climbs to the apron and distracts him, leading to Batista attacking Cade by throwing him back first into the ring post. As he turns back around, JBL hits a huge Clothesline from Hell leaving Batista on the mat. Jericho, who is still the legal man, slithers in the back door and picks up the win.

After the match, all three men attack Batista and triple team him with rights, lefts, and kicks. He manages to break free and take down all three men. He hits a spear on JBL followed by a spine buster on Cade as Jericho grabs his title and heads to the top of the ramp. Batista then picks Cade up and hits a Batista Bomb which is clearly directed at Jericho. He then stares Jericho down as he clutches his title at the top of the ramp.

Oh, while we're on the subject of Candice, is it just me or does anyone else find it ridiculous that she gets a Women's Title shot when she did absolutley nothing to deserve it? I mean, she has no skills and had a horrible match last week. I hope The Glamazon beats her to a pulp and gets her out of our faces for another 6 months.

Sorry. That was uncalled for. :D But I do like Carlito's brother. He's cool.

"Primo" has yet to impress me; Considering that he's been held off of RAW for the past two weeks and only has had one match I see why.

Carlito had better be given the tag titles along with his brother because Carlito could be a main eventer had they not upset him resulting in him upsetting them. Carlito is gonna be wasted talent. Shit, Jamie Noble gets more air time than Carlito.

That's only cuz of the automatic perception of a champion. Vince has always liked big guys as champions and because we watched big guys as champion growing up, we think guys like Jamie Noble can't be champion one day.

He's an awesome wrestler and more than hell deserves a shot at it.

WWE like any other organization, has a tendency to keeps some workers down, only putting the ones that "stand out" at the top. It's the way of business, something we all have to deal with.

Welcome to the X-Pound! Let’s talk RAW & ECW!

1) World Heavyweight Title – Jericho becoming champion at Unforgiven was an unexpected move. He did a good job building heat for himself at the beginning of Raw and then ended by stealing the match which added to the head between himself and Batista. The question now is what the outcome of the Championship Cage Match will be next week. I foresee two possible options. Either Jericho will retain and feud with Batista for the title, or Punk will win the title back and feud with Orton. Obviously the second option would only be in promos and cheap attacks for now until Orton is cleared to wrestle again. I would have to wager that Punk will regain his title simply because Orton’s whole purpose in returning is to win back his title. The feud between him and Punk would have no meaning without the title. Jericho and Batista is about cheap wins, so they could feud with no title.

2) Orton/Priceless/Manu – This is interesting. Orton is pissing off heels as well as faces. Sort of makes him an ultimate heel. But then again that’s Orton in a nutshell. As for Priceless, I like how they are forming a second generation faction. If Orton actually joins them, it will be four second generation superstars. The 6 man tag match was good and I was impressed by Manu’s power/ His mic skills weren’t half bad either, which surprised me (I was expecting an Umaga deal out of him). Either way, we will see if this implodes next week.

3) Diva’s Title – I’ll reiterate that Candice has no right being in contention for the Women’s Title. Hell, she barely has a right to be in a WWE ring at all. I still hope Beth beats her to a pulp and puts her out of our misery. Then she can feud with someone that can actually wrestle (I’m thinking Beth Phoenix vs. Gail Kim for the Women’s Title?).

4) Santino – What can be said accept that with Beth’s help, he may just beat the record currently held by the “Honky Tonk-a Man”. We’ll see how long his luck holds out.

Jamie Noble – Can we get this guy some help. It’s obvious that Layla was concerned. I hope Noble kicks Regal’s ass next week! He deserves Layla and she deserves to go to Olive Garden!! LOL.

5) Mysterio/Bourne/Miz/Morrison – This was a great match! Mysterio and Bourne make a hell of a team!! I would love to see them together again. Or even better, in a six man tag match with Kofi Kingston on their team!! Miz and Morrison are impressive in their own right, but they have nothing on the high flyers! As for Kane, I’m interested in how Kane’s mask relates to what he did to Mysterio. I see two possibilities. Either a) He made Mysterio wear the mask, which somehow made him suffer everything Kane has suffered, or b) he is going to remove Mysterio’s mask. Either way the match next week will be good.

6) Main Event – This was a good match, even though it sucks that JBL was brought in halfway through like that. I can see JBL, Batista, and JBL in a three way feud for a while. Speaking of which, did you guys see Charlie Haas Layfield (CHL)? LOL! I’m beginning to enjoy his antics as other superstars and he seems to enjoy it as well. Any predictions on which superstar he’ll be next week?

7) ECW Title – Matt Hardy finally did it! Good for him! However, I see him defending that title against Henry in the hear future. The main event was good too, though not as good as last weeks. Either way, they did what they needed to do and Hardy got the victory.

8) Finlay/Knox - Also, the Finlay/Knox rivalry could end in a Belfast Brawl, which I would love to see. These are two big tough angry dudes that could really duke it out with no rules.

9) I just wanted to mention that I was impressed by the debut of “The All American, American” Jack Swagger. That guy has power and he knows how to use it. It’s good to see FCW talent getting airtime on all three shows and impressing on them. This is what the WWE needs right now, and I can see a lot of these guys going to the top!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, it’s X-Pound Trivia Time!
Last weeks answer was Kane as the other challenger and The Rock as the champion.
Here’s this week’s question (In honor of a late, great, legend!):

Who was Killer Kowalski’s partner in The Executioners?

I agree completely. (BTW, yay Jericho!!) There is no way this fued would have much meaning without the title to give it hype, know what I mean? Of course ya do.

2) Orton/Priceless/Manu – This is interesting. Orton is pissing off heels as well as faces. Sort of makes him an ultimate heel. But then again that’s Orton in a nutshell. Orton's...'m kinda eh with him...Fraid t' say, I don't have much info on the other two. Stick to this explination. As usual, GoldPhoenix pulls through.

Yet another thing I can agree on! I hope she gets the hell beaten outta here. Makes us girls look bad. *tsk, tsk*

4) Santino – What can be said accept that with Beth’s help, he may just beat the record currently held by the “Honky Tonk-a Man”. We’ll see how long his luck holds out.

Oh!! Don't make Mysto take the mask off! That would suck...but I agree. It was one helluva match to watch, and so very enjoyable.

Umm...actually, I rest my case. I have no add ons, no guesses....GoldPhoenix good job....

7) ECW Title – Matt Hardy finally did it! Good for him! However, I see him defending that title against Henry in the hear future. The main event was good too, though not as good as last weeks. Either way, they did what they needed to do and Hardy got the victory.

WTG, Matt! Ya finally got it!!

8) Finlay/Knox - Also, the Finlay/Knox rivalry could end in a Belfast Brawl, which I would love to see. These are two big tough angry dudes that could really duke it out with no rules.

I don't follow these two, though I do love Finlay, so yeah...

Nikolai Volkoff? You talking bout him?

anyways the Punk-Orton feud doesn't need the title. It's evident the way it's been going that when Orton is cleared to wrestle he won't be winning the title then and there or in the following months. I expect Cena to have a 6month reign in 09.

Not really. HBK doesn't do anything for me. If we had to see another DX night, I would want the other 3 from the group too, not just HBK and HHH.

As for Jamie Noble - I really like him. He's a good wrestler, I just think they need to give him something better to do than drop a jaw every time Layla enters the room.

That gives me a good idea. What if they did tough enough for only women? But not that stupid on segment on Smackdown tough enough. The tough enough where you had to train to become a wrestler and they would teach you. You think a lot more competent Divas would come out of that?

iMPACT was okay in establishing stories outside the ring. Inside the ring they failed. Everyone that has an important match was focused on to many other things at once. Such as Samoa Joe. He's focuses on Sting and Nash when he has 3 opponents to go against at the ppv. Christian Cage is getting wasted. Angle and Booker T have no current direction.

The main event scene in TNA looks a hot mess right now.

Okay. Now i have to say it.

Wrestling isn't fake. It's scripted. The pain is real the stories are not. Thank you.

Gold Ranger
09-13-2008, 01:15 AM
I agree. It's not fake; it's scripted. There's a difference. The blood and pain is real. The anguish in their eyes is real. The death(s) that have happened while/due to/because of wrestling is real.

Movies are 100% fake, but we still enjoy them. And, if you're going to go, "welllll...it's a possible for that blood and stuff to be fake..." You are so blonde if you say that. (yes, I'm a girl. So I can use that line. T'ank ya.)

PS: If you don't like wrestling, I understand your opinion, but why would you post it here? We have rabid fans here. Look at Phoenix, Ledgen, and SHR, just to name a few. I have to keep them on leashes. (:p) You could get dogged to kingdom come. Not like many of us would do that, but still...

Meh, had my say. I'm happy now.

...I want cookies...

GoldPhoenixRanger
09-13-2008, 02:28 AM
Before I do my recap, I'll register my opinion on the current debate. We all know full well that professional wrestling in scripted. However, the phyisicallity is real. As for the blood, I don't know if it's all real or not.

I do know that former superstar Damien Demento in on a crusade to stop Blading in professional wrestling. For those that don't know, Blading is what superstars do in order to bleed. Either somewhere near the ring or somewhere on their person, a small razor blade is hidden. When the blood is called for the other superstar(s) in the match deter the camera either with fighting or taunting. Meanwhile, the superstar takes the blade and slices a clean cut in their forehead. This does three things: 1) It hurts very little, 2) it bleeds profusley, and 3) it heals within a week or so and leaves no visible traces. So much of the blood is real I'm sure, though in cases of excessive blood I would think it was fake.

So, yes, there is a reason it is called Sports Entertainment. Because thats what it is. Just because it's scripted doesn't mean it doesn't take incredible physical strength and abillity to do what they do day in and day out.

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb316/GPRanger/WWE%20Logos/sdreboundbz9.png

Friday Night – September 12th, 2008 - Milwaukee, WI

Show Opening:
[The show opens with footage of the WWE Championship Scramble from Unforgiven]
Triple H comes to the ring to start the show. He says that if we didn’t see Unforgiven, we need to. He says that if we didn’t see the championship scrambles, then we need to buy the DVD as soon as it comes out. It says partly because he gets good residuals from that, but also because it was awesome. He says that the title changes hands like a hundred times and there were like a thousand pin falls. He says that CM Punk got punked out by Randy Orton, Hardy finally won the big one, a giant cheated death, and Rey Mysterio came out with the craziest Mohawk you’ll ever see in your life. He says that only one man walked in as champion and walked out as champion. He says he knows that there was supposedly an 80% chance of him losing, but that doesn't apply to him because............

[Jeff Hardy's music hits and he comes to the ring]

Hardy congratulates Triple H and says he is the man. He says that Triple H beat him fair and square and that he is the champion. He says that everyone in that locker room looks up to and respects him. He says that he is the game and is the greatest. Triple H says he will reciprocate and says that he respects Hardy. He says that he admires Jeff Hardy’s tenacity and that he puts his body on the line week after week. He says that he also admires him for coming out every week and reaching for that brass ring as high as he can, but unfortunately he is always just one second away. He says that is the story of Jeff’s career. Jeff says that maybe he just didn’t have the right people to push him. He says he never had DX or the Family and maybe if he did, he would have what Triple H has. Triple H says maybe he would, but one thing he did have was his brother Matt. He says that when they were a tag team, it was the most success he had in his entire career and that many thought he was the stronger of the two. But, ever since Matt left, he hasn’t done much of anything. Matt, on the other hand, is a champion. He says that Hardy’s problem is his lack of focus and that ever since he went solo, he hasn’t been able to focus enough to prevent his extra curricular activities from stopping him from getting what he really wants. He says that tonight, Jeff has a Fatal 4 Way match with the winner challenging for the WWE Title at No Mercy. He says that Hardy has this one last chance to grab that brass ring. He says he hopes Jeff wins and proves him wrong. He goes to leave but stops and says that he hopes Jeff proves him wrong because, either way, he will prove him right come No Mercy.

- Commercial Break #1 -

Match #1: Natalya, Victoria, & Maryse vs. Michelle McCool, Maria, & Brie Bella:
Natalya and Michelle start the match. Michelle takes Nattie down and goes off the ropes but Nattie picks her up on the way back, slams her, and scores a near fall. Michelle uses her flexible legs to take Nattie down and score a near fall. Maria gets the tag and goes at Nattie. She is slammed though and Nattie applies an armbar. Maria reverses and arm drags her across the ring. Brie Bella gets the tag and flips Nattie out of her shoes. She whips her into the corner and hits a monkey flip. Brie jumps onto Nattie’s hands but she reverses and slams her face first. Maryse gets the tag, hits a backbreaker and scores a near fall. She grabs Brie by the hair, takes her down, and throws some rights to the back of the head. She picks Brie up and flips her to the mat. She then tags in Victoria who flips in over the rope, but Brie moves and she hits the mat.. Maryse takes out her partners as she tries to tag out. Brie is thrown from the ring by Victoria. She slides under the ring for a minute. Victoria drags her back out and throws her into the ring. Suddenly, Brie rolls up Victoria out of nowhere and picks up the win.

- Commercial Break #2 -

[When we return, we see the WWE Slam of the Week. It is footage of R-Truth’s match last week] He comes out to the crowd when we return to the ring. He sings his theme song as he walks through the crowd to the ring. He dances to the music once he gets in the ring.

Match #2: R-Truth vs. Chavo Guerrero:
They lock up and Chavo flips Truth to the mat. He reverses with an armbar. Chavo hits a right and then applies his own armbar. Chavo goes off the ropes but Truth takes him over to the mat and applies an arm lock. Chavo is whipped off the ropes and is kicked in the face. Chavo comes back with a big kick to the face and scores a near fall. Chavo throws some rights and lefts and kicks. Truth comes back with a clothesline and then another one. He then hits a big arm drag as Chavo comes off the ropes. Chavo kicks him in the face and runs at him but Truth counters with a power slam. Truth hits a bicycle kick and scores a near fall. Chavo reverses the momentum and hits the Three Amigos. He then goes to the top rope but Truth gets up and throws some rights. He tries to suplex Chavo but Bam Neely pushes him off the ropes. Chavo is disqualified giving R-Truth the victory.

Chavo gets mad saying he had Truth where he wanted him. Chavo says he pays Bam and yells at him some more. He says he isn’t getting paid today because of this. Ban finally has enough and shoves Chavo across the ring. He is then attacked by R-Truth and hit with a scissor kick. Chavo attacks Truth but he nails him with a flying spinning lariat leaving them both in the ring.

Backstage:
Shelton is in the back telling Eve that no one can beat the Gold standard. Triple H walks up as Eve leaves. He asks if Shelton thinks he has a chance, and then says it doesn’t matter. He tells Shelton that he knows he is in the Fatal 4-Way but doesn’t think he should have to prove himself again. He mentions that Shelton was only man who didn’t get pinned in the Championship Scramble. He says that Hardy really wants to win tonight and Shelton retorts that he shouldn’t be worried about Jeff; he should be worried about him.

- Commercial Break #3 -

When we return, Jesse & Festus come to the ring dressed as moving men complete with a box of packing materials and a hand truck. Festus gets in the ring as Jesse walks along side the ring to the far side. It is announced that this is a match and that Festus is the competitor.

Kenny Dykstra comes out as the opponent and says he thinks it’s obvious that he could be a star in any sport right now. He says he is a twenty year old stud and yet he isn’t anything here in the WWE. He asks what he has to do to prove himself, dress like a garbage man. He says he is going to prove himself right now, and attacks Festus, who is still helpless. Jesse comes in and fights him off giving Festus a breather. He then slides from the ring, goes to ringside, and rings the bell.

Match #3: Festus vs. Kenny Dykstra:
Festus transforms and assaults Dykstra with some rights and kick to the face. He then hits a shoulder block and hold Kenny down as Jesse enters the ring. They precede to Duct Tape his hands and feet as well as his waist and drag him from the ring onto the hand truck.

- Commercial Break #4 -

Dykstra is packaged and tied up when we return. Jesse puts tape over his mouth and Festus pushes him up the ramp on the hand truck.

[We then see footage of what happened between Vickie & Undertaker at Unforgiven.]
Vickie comes to the ring to massive heat. She says that the Undertaker made several threats toward her before Unforgiven. He threatened to take her soul and to send her to the fiery depths of hell. But just as all of us witnessed, the Undertaker did not send her to hell at Unforgiven nor did he take her soul. He says she couldn’t even take her job, as she is still GM of Smackdown. She says that the Undertaker threatened her and she literally spit in his face. She says she didn’t do this alone, and then introduces the man who helped her, the world’s largest athlete, the Big Show.

[Show’s music hits and he comes to the ring]

He says that a couple a weeks ago the Undertaker destroyed Edge and disbanded her family. He says that she approached him and asked for his help. At first he didn’t want to help, after all what did Vickie ever to for him. He then thought who the hell does the Undertaker think he is. Everyone has to follow the rules set down by the General Manager or be fired and that includes himself and Undertaker. He then destroyed Undertaker to prove that everyone must follow the rules. He says that he realized that a mutual alliance with Vickie was beneficial for both of them. He helps her get what she wants and she helps him get what he wants, which is to have the WWE Title around his waist. He says that to do that, he will help Vickie get what she wants, and that is an apology from the Undertaker. He says that if Taker isn’t sorry now, then he assures him that he will personally make sure that he will be.

- Commercial Break #5 -

Match #4: Vladimir Kozlov vs. Scotty Goldman & Funaki:
Kozlov kicks both men and takes them down. Funaki hits some rights but is thrown aside. Kozlov then lifts Goldman and drops him onto the top rope. He kicks him in the stomach and throws him into Funaki in the other corner. Kozlov then hits a big head butt on each man and pins Funaki for the win.

He gets a mic and speaks in Russian. He says he came here because he thought SmackDown would give him a challenge. He says he demands a challenge and says that if no one will give him one, he will find one himself.

Backstage:
Zeke Jackson is reading WWE Magazine in the back when Triple H walks in. They look each other in the eye when Kendrick walks up. He says that he wanted to wish Kendrick luck in the Fatal 4-Way. Kendrick says that he can’t believe he has to beat four other men to prove himself. He says he is the longest reigning champion in the history of the Championship Scrambles and should have the title shot. Triple H says that between the two of the, he was rooting for Kendrick the whole time. He then says that out of all the losers there were that night, he was definitely the biggest. Kendrick glares at him as he leaves.

- Commercial Break #6 -

Match #5: Hawkins & Ryder vs. Carlito & Primo:
[We see a video of the brothers as they make their way to the ring.]

MVP says that he is the highest paid superstar on the roster and that’s why. Triple H cuts him off and says he knows that, but what did he do to earn it. He says he understands Hardy being in it, as he stayed in the scramble to the end. He says he understands Kendrick being in it as he is the longest reining champion in scramble history. He understands Shelton being in it as he didn’t even get pinned. He then asks what MVP who he is to be in this match. MVP says he got in by being the man that will take Triple H’s title at No Mercy. Triple H says he hopes MVP doesn’t choke like he did on Sunday (at Unforgiven). MVP walks away steamed.

- Commercial Break #7 -

[When we return, we see a “WWE Classics on Demand” match from November 24th, 1983. In it, Ric Flair defeats Harley Race in a Cage Match to win the NWA Championship.]

MVP comes to the ring first for the main event. Shelton then appears on screen and says that for those of you who don’t know why he is called the Gold Standard, it is because he shines brighter then any other star in the WWE and he will shine extra bright tonight. He says that we will see him brightest at No Mercy when he wins the WWE Title, and when he does we will finally understand why he is called the Gold Standard. He then comes to the ring. The Brian Kendrick comes to the ring next with Zeke Jackson.

- Commercial Break #8 -

Jeff Hardy is last to come to the ring when we return.

Match #6: #1 Contenders Match – MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. The Brian Kendrick vs. Jeff Hardy:
Kendrick leaves the ring right odd the bat and Shelton and MVP both attacks hardy. He takes them both down with rights and lefts and then whips Shelton off the ropes and hits a back elbow. He rolls Shelton and scores a near fall as MVP breaks it up. MVP and Shelton then double team hardy and throws him off the ropes into a double flip slam. - Commercial Break #9 -

MVP has Shelton in a headlock when we return. [We see footage of Shelton hurling Jeff from the ring during the commercial] MVP drops a knee to the head of Shelton and scores a near fall. He then goes back to the headlock until Shelton fights out with rights and then a kick to the face. Shelton is distracted by Zeke and Kendrick kicks him in the back of the head into the ropes. He then hits a running dropkick on Shelton and scores a near fall. He then applies a camel clutch to Shelton. As this happens, Zeke slams Hardy into the security wall outside the ring. Shelton gets to his feet with Kendrick on his back and slams him into the corner back first. He then drops to the mat slamming Kendrick. Shelton scores a near fall. MVP runs in and hits a dropkick on Shelton. He throws a right but Shelton comes back with a bigger one. They exchange blows and whip each other until MVP flips Shelton over his head to the mat and scores a near fall. MVP then applies a neck vice and scores another near fall. Kendrick kicks Hardy in the face outside the ring. MVP goes for a cover but Shelton rolls it through and scores a near fall. Kendrick goes for a cover on Shelton but MVP kicks him. He rolls from the ring as Shelton throws MVP out toward the announce table. He attacks Hardy next and throws him from the ring. Shelton then goes for a suplex but turns it into an armlock. Hardy throws Kendrick into the security wall and climbs back in the ring. He attacks Shelton and MVP before going to the top. Hardy comes back with a Whisper in the Win and scores a near fall on MVP as Shelton breaks up the fall. He then hits Paydirt on MVP and scores a near fall. Kendrick breaks up the fall and then hits Shelton with The Kendrick and crawls over for a cover. As he does, Jeff climbs to the top and Swanton Bombs both men and then picks up the win.

As Jeff celebrates, Vladimir Kozlov comes to the ring and attacks him. He hits Hardy with his patented head butt taking him down and then follows up with a huge kick to the chest. He picks Hardy up again and hits a big reverse DDT leaving Hardy on the matt as he walks up the ramp and stares back at the #1 Contender.

....You are NUTS if you think I'm going to dissect that. I'm LAZY, people. Because I'm lazy, I'm saying very few things:

1) Great re-cap as always, Phoenix! ...I'm just waaaaay too lazy to dissect it. I enjoyed reading it, very informative.

2) Jeff Hardy.

3) Triple H pissin' MVP off. Nuff said.

4) Jeff Hardy wins.

5) I really don't care about the women's matches. They bore me. It's nothing but what I see out on the playground everyday. Pullin hair, nails, slaps, and biting. Fight like a man. God gave you knuckles, and feet. Use them!

6) I'm done. Bed time.

7) *snore*

I actually like how Maryse was in the ring today. She was very physical. Not sure how stiff those shots were though.

Maryse is so sexy!!

And I'm loving Kenny.. as always.. and him being taped up like that.... maybe this isn't the type of thread for the discussion that's on my mind!! :D

Though seriously, Victoria needs to start looking under the ring before her match with Brie Bella to make sure her sister isn't on a date with Hornswaggle during Brie's match.

Hmmm.

Their titantron is "The Colons". I think it's a bad move for Carlito but I'm happy to see him on t.v... a little fucked up that he had to win against a team that loses all the time.

Yeah which makes the smackdown tag champs look incredibly weak compared to the Raw Champions.

I'm not saying ALL women's matches are like that...just most of em. And I can't take it. Makes me feel bad after I come in from a fight, with a couple bruises, to see them slapping each other. >.> Maybe it's just cuz I'm a girl...? I dunno.

Maybe it's the fact their forcing them together only because they have nothing better to do with A. the tag champs; or B.Carlito and Primo. Maybe it's both. All I know is that they don't look like a team, they wrestle almost like a team, they'll be better than Hawkins and Ryder.

Question of the week: What ever happened to DH Smith?

The Divas need to be more stiff like Victoria. Make things hurt because Women wrestling is gonna be huge again. The Bella Twins are a step down for Victoria but I like the fact that they're letting Victoria help the young ones. I'm really hoping that things are gonna get better for the Smackdown side because watching Raw...I cry for the Divas.

As part of the 2008 WWE Supplemental Draft, Smith was drafted to the SmackDown brand. Smith then returned to Florida Championship Wrestling on August 26, without making his SmackDown debut.

Now, it's time for...........
http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb316/GPRanger/X-Pound.jpg

Welcome to the X-Pound! It’s SmackDown time!

1) Triple H – Let’s face it, we all knew he was going to retain. I liked the way he provoked the members of the Fatal 4-Way one by one. His banter with Jeff at the beginning was harsh, but better then what he said to Jeff live the last time they had a confrontation (It was edited out for the televised showing). I doubt he’ll be losing the title anytime soon, and I see a heel turn in his near future.

2) Diva’s Match – Not as bad as it could have been. Most of the Diva’s were impressive except Maria. Brie’s gimmick is still working and she pinned Victoria again which is good too. The Diva’s Title is still worthless and idk why anyone would want to wear it. There really aren’t any more Diva storylines going on yet so we’ll see what happens.

3) R-Truth – He has been pretty impressive since his debut and a rivalry with Chavo is a good way to start a WWE career. His scissor kick reminds me of Booker T, but it’s impressive nonetheless. His rapping is pretty good too. I would be interested in seeing him meet Cryme Tyme at some point in the future. He has a bright future.

4) Jesse & Festus – These guys are great. Did anyone guess why they were dressed as moving men? Because SmackDown is moving to MY9 TV on Oct. 2nd!! At least I think that’s why they were dressed like that. Either way, them packaging Dykstra was funny. I wonder where they put him?

5) Vickie/ Big Show – Ok, can someone explain to me why Big Show attacked Undertaker, because his explanation was crap. Best I can figure he suddenly decided that everyone on SmackDown should follow the GM’s rules and he is going to make sure of that so that he can get a title show. He is also going to make Undertaker apologize to Vickie. This rivalry will be good, I just wish the writers had thought of a better way to turn Show heel.

6) Kozlov – He destroyed Goldman and Funaki as we knew he would, but his attack on Hardy at the end of the show was much unexpected. I’m curious as to where this is going to go. I hope he doesn’t outshine Hardy and get himself into the title match because that would suck. Hopefully Kozlov finds some “better competition” elsewhere.

7) Carlito & Primo – This was a pretty good match considering Carlito’s been out of action for quite some time and it was only Primo’s second match. Once they work together a little more and get a feel for each others styles, I think they will make a great tag team. Give it a few weeks and I’m sure they’ll earn a tag title shot. And let me tell you.......dat’s Cool!

8) Fatal 4-Way – This was a great match! The repeated pinfalls, the cheap shots, the crazy moves were all entertaining. This is the best main event SmackDown has had in a while. I think we already knew that Hardy was going to win but it was interesting to see how close it came to one of the others winning. I would like to see Shelton and MVP start a rivalry for the U.S. Title now that they are out of the WWE Title picture. As for Kendrick I don’t know where they are going to go with him. Still, Hardy vs. Triple H for the Title will be a great match!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s X-Pound Trivia Time!! The answer to last the last question is that Killer Kowalski’s partner in the Executioners was Big John Studd, and their third partner was Nikolai Volkoff.

Here’s the next question:
(I dedicate this to the new ECW Champion and his brother, who will hopefully be WH Champion before long.)

Fill in the Blanks:
The Hardy Boys had their first historic match with ________________ at No Mercy ’99, defeating them to win the services of _________________ and a grand total of $_____.

I don't know why, but I just love HHH. XD
I can't stand it when he dominates the industry. In 2007 the DX Triple H was away from the title for a whole year and that's when I liked him the most. He holds himself too high sometimes. If he really cared about the business the way he says he does he would drop the title to the next upcoming hot act that needs it, MVP. I really want Jeff to take the strap at No Mercy but right now I think an MVP-Hardy feud would be better, especially with the WWE title in the mix.

Meh, it wasn't terrible if that's what you mean. I had a better fight tonight out on the football field. Seriously, you mess with my brother, I kick your ass. Then my parents got in it and wooo! Ahem, sorry. Still on a slight high.

Hate to say it, I don't follow this guy, so I have no opinion. Because of that, continue to listen to Phoenix. He is lord.
R-Truth was K-Kwik back in the WWF. He teamed with Road Dogg when him and Billy Gunn/DX split. An interesting duo. He had his time in TNA where he became better known. He's back in the WWE though as R-Truth and he is a good athlete, he hasn't had a match yet that makes me think of him as more than a good athlete so you're not missing anything special yet.

5) Vickie/ Big Show – Ok, can someone explain to me why Big Show attacked Undertaker, because his explanation was crap. Show is trying to say that he didn't follow the rules so he didn't get what he wanted but now he's following the rules and he's gonna get what he wants. Vickie is feuding with Taker so by getting in that he's helping Vickie, in return he hopes Vickie will help him. You scratch my back I scratch yours kinda thing.

Monday Night – September 13th, 2008 – Memphis, Tenn

Show Opening:
The steel cage lowers as the show opens and it is announced that the title match will kick off Raw. [We then see footage of Orton’s assault on Punk at Unforgiven]

Match #1: Steel Cage – Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk:
Punk is out first followed by Jericho. The doors are locked and the two men stare each other down. Punk begins throwing rights and then whips Jericho off the ropes and hits a knee to the stomach. He mounts Jericho and throws rights followed by some knees. He takes Jericho to the corner and then whips him out of and back into it hard. Punk whips Jericho to another corner and he climbs the turnbuckle and tries to escape the cage. Punk runs up and grabs him. They stand on the top rope and throw rights and lefts until Jericho is knocked off to the mat. Punk tries to climb out but Jericho grabs his foot and drags him down. Jericho then tries to escape again but Punk stops him. He then whips Jericho off the ropes and hits a high back elbow knocking him to the corner. He then hits a big knee to the face and a bulldog. He picks Jericho up and tries for a GTS but he grabs the ropes to stop it. Jericho connects with an elbow but is then thrown face first into the steel.

- Commercial Break #1 -

Jericho has a leg lock on Punk when we return. {We see footage of Punk trying to escape out the door during the commercial]. Punk gets to his foot and hits an insuguri to the back of Jericho’s head. He hits Jericho with some chops and punches but Jericho reverses into the Walls of Jericho in the middle of the ring. Punk drags Jericho to the door and tries to escape out with Jericho attached and gets one leg free but Jericho smashes the door into Punk’s face and pulls him back in. Jericho throws some rights and lefts and then taunts as he stands over Punk. He goes for the lionsault but Punk lifts his knees and blocks the move. Punk then hits some kicks to the chest of Jericho knocking him to the corner. Punk goes for a high knee but Jericho moves and Punk crashed head first into the cage. Jericho then dropkicks him face first into the cage again. Jericho then begins climbing in the opposite corner. Punk manages to get up and grab him as Jericho gets to the top. Punk pulls him back in and it looks likes he’s going for a GTS off the top rope but Jericho slides to his feet on the rope. Both men’s faces then get slammed into the mat as they take each other down. Punk then scores a near fall. Jericho then slams Punk’s head into the cage as Jericho climbs to the top. Punk gets up at the last second as Jericho is halfway out of the cage. He manages to get under him and hit an electric chair drop sending both men crashing to the mat. Punk begins crawling to the door but Jericho climbs over him and tries to escape himself. They fight in the doorway as they each try to get out. They stand and Punk slams Jericho back first into the cage wall several times. Punk then hits a head butt at the same time as Jericho does, causing both men to fall. Jericho falls out the door however, and thus wins the match and retains the title.

- Commercial Break #2 -

[When we return, we see a promo for the Red Cross voiced over by HBK asking for donations to help in relief efforts for Hurricane Ike]

Backstage:
Mike Adamle is in the back talking to Kelly. He then introduces a new superstar near him. Jericho then walks up and Adamle says that he needs to start thinking about No Mercy. Jericho complains that its too much, saying that he was in the unsanctioned match against HBK, then the Championship Scramble, then faced Batista last week, and the Cage Match tonight. He says that he is Adamle’s champion and greatest asset and he needs to learn that. He then suggests that they go to Adamle’s office so they can discuss a few things, and they do so.

Backstage:
Kane says that years ago he was in a position where he was forced to remove his mask. But he says the truth is that no one forces him to do anything. He says he took his mask off for all of us, and it got him nothing. He says that everywhere he goes people point at him. He says he doesn’t like that. He says then he sees a man like Rey Mysterio who wears a mask and doesn’t have the courage to do what he did. He says that deep down, we all wear masks and that when he beat Rey down in a parking lot and removed his mask, he was really attacking all of us. Evan Bourne walks up and says that Rey is courageous and he can’t wait for him to beat Kane tonight. Kane laughs manically as Bourne leaves.

Jillian is in the ring singing horrible versions of Elvis songs and it is announced that she will face Candice next.

- Commercial Break #3 -

Jillian is still singing when we return, but Candice’s music cuts her off.

Match #2: Candice Michelle vs. Jillian:
They lock up and Jillian applies a leg lock. They get up and Candice hits a shoulder block off the ropes and then a kick to the face. Jillian comes back with a slam to the mat and scores a near fall. She then uses the second rope to pull Candice’s hair out. Jillian kicks Candice into the corner and takes her down. She then uses a foot to choke her out against the ropes. Jillian applies a full nelson but Candice gets out. Jillian comes back with a snap mare and then back into the full nelson. Candice fights out with some kicks to the head and then a right elbow. Candice goes off the ropes and takes Jillian down twice and follows with a dropkick. Candice is whipped to the corner but she moves before Jillian lands the crush and scores a near fall. They get up and Candice goes for a face buster but Jillian reverses into a backdrop. She whips Candice to the opposite corner and goes for a high back elbow but Candice reverses into the Candy Wrapper and picks up the win.

Candice then invites Beth into the ring as a challenge and Beth accepts. She climbs to the apron but Candice dropkicks her in the face sending her to the floor.

- Commercial Break #4 -

Match #3: JBL vs. Tommy Dreamer:
They lock up and JBL pushes Dreamer to the corner. He throws rights and then slams him to the mat. He then throws Dreamer across the ring and hits a big boot to the face. Dreamer reverses with a boot of his own and then hits a swinging neck breaker. He scores a near fall. JBL gets up, goes off the ropes, and nails a huge Clothesline from Hell to win the match.

He then grabs a steel chair from ringside. He carries it in the ring, opens it up, and sits down. He then asks for a microphone and sits back down again. He addresses Mike Adamle and says that he is not leaving the ring until he is made the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title right here tonight.

- Commercial Break #5 -

When we return, JBL is still in the ring. He says not to listen to anything these people chant because they are not nearly as good as him. He then says that there is no one better then himself to be #1 Contender.

[Randy Orton’s Music Hits and he comes to the ring]

Orton says that a few weeks ago he gave his evaluation of all the champions and he as not impressed. He says that is why he took it upon him self to make sure he did not keep his championship. He then says that JBL isn’t much of an improvement. He says the Age of Orton was cut short because of an injury but as he continues his rehab he will soon be back. When he does, it doesn’t matter who is champion because as soon as he is 100%, he will be World Champion again.

Santino says how Orton dare insult them, because unlike them they are champions and they are healthy. He says that Orton’s father was always injured, and mentions his father’s cast, which he wore for like 6 years. He says that his own father, or Papi as he likes to call him, was always healthy (despite having herpes). Santino then demands an apology from him. Orton replies that he apologizes to no one when JBL cuts in and tells him to apologize not to Mr. and Mrs. Phoenix, but to him. He says that last week, with one move he did what Orton never could, and that’s knock out Batista. JBL then reiterates that he is the only one on this show that can legitimately call himself #1 Contender.

[Batista’s Music Hits and he comes to the ring]

Batista laughs and says that before he beats the hell out of all of them, he just has to say that this is the most pathetic sight he has ever seen. He says the four of them out here making promises they can’t keep like politicians. He then proposes a solution. He says that tonight, he’ll beat JBL, and then he’ll go to No Mercy and beat Jericho for the title. After that, he’ll keep on beating people and beating people until Orton gets his little doctors not and comes back and fights like a real man, and then he’ll beat him too. Santino takes offense at being left out and Batista apologizes. He says that if Beth Phoenix wants a shot at the title she can have her turn too. All the men start arguing until Adamle appears on screen. He asks them to calm down and says that he will consider all of their claims as well as those of Jericho and will announce the #1 Contender at the end of the night after the Kane/Mysterio match. Batista says he would like to plead his case now, and sucker punches JBL. He then hits a slam as Orton slides from the ring. Santino is grabbed and hit with a spinebuster. Batista turns around and faces the screen as Beth walks up behind him. He turns around and is face to face with her. She slaps him several times and tells him to bring it on and he finally spinbusters her on top of Santino.

- Commercial Break # 6 -

Priceless comes out first followed by Kofi and King. Finally, their third partner makes his way to the ring. It is Good Ole’ JH, Jim Haas. He says Boomer Sooner a few times and says that he has an Oklahoma U. ring even though he never played football there or even went there, but still goes to the practices. He then says that we will have a slobber knocker here tonight and promotes his BBQ sauce.

Match #4: Kofi Kingston, Jerry "The King" Lawler, & Good Ole’ JH vs. Priceless & Manu:
Manu and Kofi start the match and Manu slams him. He then picks him up but Kofi slides down and dropkicks him into the corner. Rhodes gets the tag but gets kicked in the face by Kofi, who then tags in Lawler. He attacks Cody and knocks him to the corner but he rakes the eyes and hits a bulldog to scores a near fall. Cody applies a submission as JH goes over to commentary and makes some JR like comments the runs back to the apron. Lawler then breaks free and tags in JH. He throws some left hands, a dropkick, and then a big splash to score a near fall. Cody comes back and tags in DiBiase, who nails some rights and a leg sweep and picks up the win.

[We then see the Smackdown Rebound. It is footage of events in the WWE Title picture]

Backstage:
JBL goes into the locker room and tries to suck up to Jericho. He reminds JBL that he cost him the title against Orton last year. He says that much like his friends on Wall Street, JBL’s chances at a title match are quickly crashing. He says that Adamle values his opinion way more then he values JBL’s and that he isn’t investing in any more JBL Title matches.

[We then see the Red Cross promo again]

- Commercial Break #7 -

[We see the WWE Rewind. It is footage of Regal/Noble’s match last week]

Match #5: Paul Birchill vs. Jamie Noble:
They lock up and Noble throws some kicks and punches. Birchill tries to pick him up but Noble reverses and throws him to the corner. He follows with some rights and lefts and then slams him. He then hits a head butt but Birchill comes back with a kick and an uppercut. Noble fights back, goes off the rope, and rolls Birchill into an armbar, which he taps out to.

Layla comes out and says that last week was a difficult decision. She says she is sorry that it took her this long….to get rid of him. She says that it’s over because now she has found a man that is worthy of her. Regal comes to the ring. Regal says that what he has that Noble doesn’t is Nobility.

- Commercial Break #8 -

Match #6: Kane vs. Rey Mysterio:
They lock up and Mysterio throws an ineffective punch. They lock up and Kane throws him to the corner and then punches him in the mouth. Mysterio goes for a Hurricarana but Kane reverses and picks him up. Mysterio manages to get Kane down but he gets back up. Kane attacks Mysterio in the corner. Mysterio knocks Kane off balance and slides from the ring. He then rushes back in as Kane gets out and dropkicks him in the chest. Kane stands on the bottom of the ramp and stares in.

- Commercial Break #9 -

Kane has a headlock on Mysterio when we return. [We see footage of Mysterio hitting a DDT Kane on the floor, but then Kane kicks Mysterio in the face. Mysterio fights up but Kane slams him down. He goes for an elbow but Mysterio moves. He throws some rights but Kane hurls him across the ring and wraps him around the ring post. He then whips Mysterio into the corner hard. He drags Mysterio across the ring and hits a backbreaker. He then uses this position as a submission. Mysterio rights out with some rights and a knee to the head. Mysterio throws rights but Kane whips him across the ring. Mysterio moves and Kane gets hung up on the top rope. Mysterio hits a kick to the face and scores a near fall. Mysterio then trips Kane into the second turnbuckle. He then hits some rights and makes Kane groggy on his feet. He goes off the top but Kane catches him. He slips out of Kane’s arms and then hits an insuguri sending Kane to the second rope. Mysterio goes for a 619 but Kane explodes with a clothesline. The referee calls for the bell as Kane tries to rip Mysterio’s mask off.

Suddenly, Evan Bourne runs out and hits some low drop kicks on Kane. Mysterio gets back up and kicks him in the knees as Bourne goes to the top. Bourne uses his knees to take Kane to the mat as Mysterio bounces off the top rope for a legdrop. The two then leave the ring and head up the ramp looking back at an angry Kane.

- Commercial Break #10 -

When we return, Chris Jericho comes to the ring accompanied by Lance Cade. Jericho says that first of all he wants to thank Adamle for respecting his opinion and listening to his advice. He says that deciding who will be the #1 Contender for his championship shouldn’t be taken lightly. He says that he suggested that Batista and JBL fight each other at No Mercy and afterward Jericho will come down and face the winner for the title. He says that people might say that’s not fair but he thinks it’s more then fair since he had two matches and beat four men at Unforgiven to win the title. He says that if Mike Adamle wants to keep respecting his champion, he will take his suggestion and make it happen.

Adamle comes to the stage and says that it sounds fair, and so he makes Batista vs. JBL at No Mercy for the #1 Contendership. However, the winner of that match will not face the champion that night. Jericho asks what he means by “the champion” as he is the champion. Adamle says that he is supposed to have quarterly meeting with Shane and Stephanie and after Unforgiven, he has to avoid having a man in multiple matches. He says he considered Batista and JBL’s opinions as well as his Jericho’s but someone else approaches him with a title match idea so good he couldn’t pass it up. He then introduces the new #1 Contender who will face Jericho at No Mercy and leaves. There are a few minutes of silence and Jericho looks around the arena wondering who his opponent is.

[Shawn Michael’s Music hits and he comes to the stage]

HBK comes out and says that he knows what Chris is thinking. He says he they’ve met in a regular match and an unsanctioned match so how can they possibly top themselves. He says he wanted to pick a match that is both exciting and would allow him to disfigure Jericho in ways that he hasn’t even imagined yet. He then thought of the perfect match. He says it is a match he created. Some say that it is a match he revolutionized. He says at No Mercy, it will be HBK vs. Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Title in a…..in a…..boys can you help me out here?

Two men bring a 20ft ladder onto the stage and set it up. HBK climbs to the top and sits on top of it facing Jericho. He then finishes his sentence with “a Ladder match!” The audience goes nuts as Jericho looks up in disbelief.

Aww damn!! Retire HBK, please!!!

Legendary.

Tonight's RAW was mostly bland. I talked to SHR for the majority of the first hour than left for a walk and came back when that loser HBK came out. I understand that it helps fuel their story to make this match come on. I think that Unforgiven was a perfect way to end it. This match and the story telling had ultimately be the best thing in '08. Considering their original story was brilliant, I want this to be better than that and if it doesn't deliver than it would've been wasted space.

My view on what's gonna happen with Punk. Considering they keep putting Tista and JBL in that damn title scene, I'm going to have to say that since Punk isn't in it he's going to start the feud with Team Priceless and Orton almost immediately. It's the only way to keep him coherent on Raw. It's what their doing with JBL and Tista. They need to keep them involved on the show no matter what. I see Punk costing Priceless the titles. Punk might have 2 matches with Orton one being a good old fashioned grudge match the other being a No. 1 Contenders match.

All in all. I'm pretty satisfied with how Raw is going. It's just the execution that kills me. Candice can be in the title scene, she just needs to be heavily trained...again...and again...and one more time to make sure she doesn't fuck up on live t.v. Santino is gold for me. I can't wait till he actually gets involved in a story besides Glamarella. I can honestly see where this is going. Next week is gonna be either Batista vs Santino Marella, where Santino acts scared and Beth offers to take his place or something or! It might be Candice and Batista vs Glamarella.

That's what I like about Raw ladies and gentlemen. Raw has it's mojo, it just needs to be better executed on television. Everything is in full circle. All the champions on the show are heel, perfect. Faces are better chasers and transition champs. Kofi...he'll have his time. Punk is gonna get his time. Cryme Tyme will win their belts. Mickie will get hers back too. Raw is finally a big circle I can understand.

I'll tell you what I think about Smackdown this Friday and ECW tomorrow. =] Sorry for the long post xD

That's ok Goldie, thats why I write these recaps! Read and enjoy!

As for you Legendary, I see what you mean about the execution, but in terms of the World Heavyweight Title picture, you have to remember one thing. John Cena. They probably had the storylines written so that he would be feuding with JBL or even Jericho for the title right now, but they weren't counting on him herniating a disk in his neck and being out for 3 months. As such, they had to re-write the storylines at the last minute. I think that might be part of why the exceution of the World Title picture looks so thrown together and unorganized.

Heh. You might be onto something with the whole John Cena thing but it doesn't excuse them from still poorly executing on television. Especially since it's the only live WWE show. Batista and JBL flubbed lines, Adamle flubbed lines, the Punk-Jericho finish...poorly executed, the stories themselves not centered around the WHC is poorly executed.

Raw's matches are sloppy, Batista looks like he's 40 million years old...it's just getting crowded with the old people.

Backstage:
Henry and Atlas are in the back. Atlas says that he hates to admit it but Hardy looks good tonight. Henry says the only reason he looks good is because he isn’t in there with the World’s Strongest Man. He says that Hardy won the title in a Championship Scramble, and never beat Henry for it. He then says that the only reason Hardy was able to walk out of the tag match last week is because of Finlay and his leprechaun hitting him in the head with a shillelagh. He says he’s head the Irish are lucky, but tonight Finlay’s luck is going to run out.

- Commercial Break #2 -

[When we return, we see the Red Cross promo voiced by HBK]

Match #2: The Miz vs. Evan Bourne:
Morrison accompanies Miz to the ring. Bourne is accompanied by Ricky Ortiz. They lock up and Miz pushes Bourne to the corner. Bourne retaliated with a slap and come elbows. He throws him to the opposite corner but Mix reverses. Bourne flies to the apron and then bounces back in taking Miz down and scoring a near fall. Miz hits a knee to the stomach and then kicks Bourne through the ropes and to the floor. Ortiz and Morrison get in each others faces before Mix comes around and goes after Bourne. He slams Bourne into the apron stomach first and then throws him back in the ring and scores a near fall. Miz digs his knees into Bourne’s back as a submission hold. He goes for a body slam but Bourne reverses into a roll up. Miz reverses into a roll up of his own but he grabs the ropes and gets caught. He then hits a clothesline and goes back into the knee to the back submission. Bourne fights up and kicks Miz in the face in a near Sweet Chin Music fashion. He then flips Miz across the ring, takes him down, and scores a near fall. He flips Miz to the mat and goes to the top but Miz moves, then hits a legdrop and scores a near fall. Bourne is hit with a knee to the jaw and falls back to the corner. Morrison tries to hold him there but Ortiz attacks Morrison outside the ring. Miz is distracted by this allowing Bourne to roll him up and picks up the win.

- Commercial Break #3 -

[When we return, we see footage of the Cage Match and title picture story on RAW]

Match #3: Jack Swagger vs. Chase Stevens:
They lock up and Swagger takes Chase down and applies a headlock. They get up and Swagger whips Chase off the ropes and slams him. Chase comes back with some right hands but Swagger slams him into the corner. He whips him out of the corner, hits the gut wrench and then hits a big knee to the face. He follows up with a slam. He then nails a Red, White, and Blue Thunderbomb and picks up the win.

[We see Finlay meet up with Hornswoggle on his way to the ring and put on his hat.]

- Commercial Break #4 -

Match #4: Mark Henry vs. Finlay:
Hornswoggle accompanies Finlay and Atlas is with Henry. They lock up and break apart. Finlay applies an abdominal hold but Henry slams him into the corner and hits an elbow. He tries to get his arms around Henry but is pushed to the corner hard. He picks up Finlay and slams him. Finlay comes back with some right hands and goes for a shoulder block but Henry punches him to the mat. He rolls to the apron where Henry stands on his chest until the four count. Atlas then hits a cheap shot while the referee isn’t looking. Mark Henry slams Finlay back first into the announce table and he collapses to the floor.

- Commercial Break #5 -

Henry has a neck claw on Finlay when we return. He scores a near fall, then slams him backward and scores another near fall. Finlay rolls from the ring and Henry follows. He hits a clubbing blow to the back and then throws him back in the ring and scores a near fall. He kicks Finlay and then applies a submission. He hits a blow to the back and then applies a bear hug. Henry slams Finlay into the corner and then into the mat. He picks him up high and slams him on his back again. Finlay tells the referee to get out of his way as he tries to help him, and then moves as Henry crashes into the corner. Henry grabs Finlay and slams him to the mat. He goes for an elbow but misses and Finlay takes advantage. He drags Henry to the apron and hits some shots to the head from outside the ring. Atlas comes around and attacks Hornswoggle after which Finlay attacks Atlas. He chases Atlas around and then back into the ring. Henry slides from the ring and attacks Hornswoggle himself. Finlay grabs the shillelagh and nails Henry in the arm with it while the referee is distracted by Atlas. They climb back in the ring and Finlay hits two boots to the jaw of Henry but he comes back with a bear hug. Finlay manages to reverse and slide out but Henry prevents the sunset flip by holding the ropes. He then tries to drop on him but Finlay moves and Henry hits the mat. Finlay scores a near fall. He then drops on his abdomen and then applies a fujiara armbar. Henry breaks free, hits the World Strongest Slam out of nowhere and picks up the win.

I don't think anyone really wants to see HBK wrestle anymore. The dudes taking up valuable space for people who have the talent he used to have. I'd keep HBK as an agent or even maybe a trainer but nothing more. He's annoying. He's theme is outdated. He's a good wrestler, always has been probably always will be, but his body is breaking and it's just a matter of time until he comes crashing down.

I hope this is a joke. HBK is still one of the best wrestlers the company has. Him vs Jericho in a ladder match has the possibility of been match of the year.

With out HBK we'll be stuck with things like more cena matches (god I hate cena he does like 5 moves a match and not even well and makes poopy jokes) or Batista (another bad wrestler)

The worst thing that could happen to wwe right now with them promoting guys like Cena and Batista who have no talent is to looses any of their best guys : HBK , HHH and Y2J

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb316/GPRanger/X-Pound.jpg

It’s Time for the X-Pound! Let’s check in with RAW and ECW!

1) Cage Match – This was a pretty good match although the ending was a bit lame. But this leaves room for Punk to say that he wasn’t actually beaten, etc, etc. All in All is was your typical cage match.

2) Diva’s Match – Candice sucked as usual, but I was impressed by Jillian. She had some great moves and really took it to Candice. It was a crime that she lost in the end. She deserves a Women’s Title shot soon, and possibly a face turn in which she learns to sing well.

3) JBL/Tommy/ After Match – It’s almost sad to see the great Tommy Dreamer jobbing to people on a weekly basis, but you gotta do what you gotta do. As for JBL’s little tirade, it was not really unexpected. He is a priss when it comes to being champion, and we all know that. The banter between himself, Santino, & Batista was hilarious though, even if Batista did flub a line. I don’t understand why people bash him. I mean, he’s got good mic skills and wrestling ability up the ying yang. He is truly one of the top guys right now, although it would be nice to take him from the title picture for a bit. Also, could someone please injure JBL and get him out of our faces for a bit? He obviously isn’t going to be champion and its annoying seeing him every time and title shot is up for grabs. As for Glamerella, Beth and Santino are both great. Their gimmicks are going over perfectly and them having the title is even better. It’s funny how everyone respects Beth Phoenix and not Santino, lol. Oh, almost forgot Orton. Still a great guy and I really hope he wins the title once he gets back. I also give him the award for most awesome new theme music.

4) 6 Man tag match – Priceless and Manu are a great team. I just don’t know what storyline they are going to work now, if any. Kofi was impressive as usual, and the King did his part. The real treat of the night, however, was Good Ole’ JH, Jim Haas!! Charlie has done it again with another great impression. I think this one was his best yet. I almost can’t wait to see what JR has to say about it on SmackDown. I mean, Charlie even ran over to commentary and started doing JR talk, it was great! Not to mention that he was impressive in the ring to boot!

5) Jaime Noble – I feel bad for him, I mean he put in all that work only for Layla to turn on him. I hope he gets a better girlfriend and they kick Regal and Layla’s asses! As for Birchill he did a respectable job in the match, but he needs a storyline if he’s going to get anywhere. I’ve heard rumors that his future with the company is in question so we will see what happens.

6) Kane/Mysterio – Oh! I called it, he tried to remove Rey’s mask! This is an interesting rivalry made better by the inclusion of Evan Bourne. I see a two on one handicapped match in their immediate future. I don’t know where this will go unless Kane finally does remove Rey’s mask. Only time will tell, but I think we can assume that a No Mercy match will come out of it.

7) Shawn Michaels – Ok, if I hear one more person in this thread say that HBK should retire I’m going to start dishing out the Sweet Chin Music! Yes, he is getting up there in years and his body isn’t what it used to be, but that just makes it all the more amazing when he performs better then half of the young guys out there. This ladder match will be an amazing match, no doubt, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it wins match of the year. I don’t know who will win, but it will be a challenge to find out. As for Batista and JBL in the Number One Contender match, my money’s on the Animal. However, if he does win then Jericho will likely retain and vice versa.

8) Hardy/Knox – This was just generally a good match. Back and forth action, near destruction of Hardy, but he came back to win. These two have some pretty good in ring chemistry. I hope that Hardy has a good long run as ECW Champion and, if we’re lucky, a nice rivalry with John Morrison.

9) New Guys – Jack Swagger impresses again, even if it was against another newbie. Always good to see the new talents get air time. Swagger could challenge for the ECW Title sometime next year if he keeps up the good work.

10) Evan Bourne – He was impressive as always. He is the perfect antithesis for Miz and Morrison and Ortiz fits in there as well. I would love to see them in a tag team match next week. Ortiz and Bourne make a good team. Also, I give more credit to Bourne since he’s now performing on both RAW and ECW.

11) Finlay/Henry – Finally, this match was a great main event. The only downside was that it was slow as hell because of Henry’s size. Hornswoggle getting involved and Henry barely being fazed by the shillelagh shot helps build his image which will make hardy look better when he beats him. This was as physical of a match as we’ve seen in a long time and was fitting for ECW.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

X-Pound Trivia Time! If you’re wondering, the answer to last week’s question was that the Hardy Boys beat Edge and Christian in their first legendary match and won the services of Terri Runnels and a total of $100,000. (You were close Legendary, so you win a cookie). Sorry Goldie, but that question you suggested was a little too easy. Let’s try this one:

True or False:
No Mercy ’01 was the first event to feature both WWE and WCW World Title matches.

How many young talent do you see on Raw?

Cena
Batista
Santino Marella
Cody Rhodes
Ted DiBiase
Paul Burchill
Charlie Haas
Shad
JTG
Kofi Kingston
CM Punk
Manu
Paul London

That's all I can think of as "young" or "new" talents even though some have been in it for a few years they are still new or young. And you know what? HBK on his worst day can out wrestle every one of them and some are good like CM Punk or Paul London they are just now nor will they ever be HBK good

Out of curiosity who is everyone's top 5 and top diva?

Mine :

1st Undertaker - Alwaysbeen my favourite since he came in always will
2nd HBK - simply put he is the show stopper. He can have a good match with anyone even his match with The Great Khali was entertaining
3rd Y2J - Another amazing wrestler was so exited he was coming back and now he's back.
4th HHH - He is another who can put on good matches with just about anyone though he can have bad ones too. I prefer him as heel but he is good a face too.
5th Edge - Amazing worker and great on the Mic he's one of the few who is almost perfect in every category

Diva
Beth Phoenix - one of the few women in wwe who can actually wrestle.. Plus I think the Glamazon looks great too.

You know here are some superstarsDivas I miss and hope to see them return or make some sort of an appearence on WWE.

Stacy Keibler-Those long legs of hers were a masterpiece.

Jazz-she could have an awesome feud with beth.

The Rock- I don't care what others say, I just want him back!

Stone Cold-Adamle needs to be stunnered.

Billy Kidman -Too old to do a shoot star press, but itd be cool to see him back.

Lance Storm- I don't know what to say. I just miss his heel days and the Un-american days.

Test-He could totally be a potential superstar to be a world champion.

Rikishi- Stink faces were great to see.....Santino deserves one.

Scotty 2 Hotty-I miss the worm. :(

Dudley Boyz-We need more people put through tables. Plus we could have a good ole fashioned Hardys vs Dudleys match. TLC!

The Hurricane-Screw gregory helms gimmick. lol

Rosey-he could team up with Umaga.

Nathan Jones- he was tall and he was from Australia! How many wrestlers do you see that are from Australia?

Albert/A-Train-I miss those "Shave your back" chants. Plus he could of been a great champion.

Rhyno-He could of made a great champion or champion contender. You know how awesome a Rhyno/CM Punk feud would be.

See this is why I hate TNA. Too many old wwe guys who are past it. It's one thing for WWE to have Flair or Foley or Hogan appear on it as they actually did something for the company before they were past it. TNA however gets them just to say they have them.

And the worst is when they get EX-WWE people just to put them on tv and insult WWE. Now if TNA was to get say HHH (never going to happen) because they know he's a good worker and they can use him then great. It's the lack of ability and lack of reasoning besides ratings and star power that annoys me.

TNA reminds me so much of WCW when it was at it's worse (Vince Russo in charge. Kinda funny Vince Russo is on TNAs creative team now. But I won't start on why he sucks, I'll leave that for another post) Acquiring guys off wwe despite them been crap , the story lines , the horrible match types (Last Rites for example was a genius as wcw's Catch as Catch Can Match.) Concentrating more on what wwe does than what they do (e.g DX reunites and they come up with the Voodoo Kin Mafia and do the DX invades wcw thing to wwe with a car and a traffic cone and failed badly.

In my honest opinion TNA is doomed to fail at the rate they are going I think with-in 5-10 years WWE will own TNA just like they did to WCW (which was actually good during the Bischoff days with things like nWo , cruuiserweights and more before they ruined it)

Friday Night – September 19th, 2008 – Nashville, TN

Show Opening:
[The show opens with footage of the WWE Title events from last week]

Match #1: Diva’s Title – Michelle McCool vs. Maryse:
They lock up and Maryse applies an abdominal lock and takes Michelle down. She then flips Michelle over and applies a headlock. She counters with a leglock but Maryse turns it back into the headlock. She slams Michelle head first into the mat several times. Michelle goes off the ropes, dodges Maryse who does a split, then jumping over her and dropkicking her in the face. Maryse slides from the ring and slams Michelle back first on the apron. She tosses her back in and scores a near fall. She kicks Michelle in the gut and then mounts her to throw some rights and lefts. Michelle reverses into a near fall. Maryse slams Michelle to the mat by her hair and then goes into a chinlock. Michelle gets to her feet but is taken down with a clothesline and Maryse scores a near fall. She throws right hands on Michelle and tosses her to the corner where she jumps up on the ropes and then to the apron. Michelle comes back over and takes Maryse down. She then hits a running neck breaker and scores a near fall. They run at each other and Maryse hits an elbow to the face. Michelle spins Maryse around and lifts her up. She connects with the Wings of Love and picks up the win.

Backstage:
Vickie and Big Show are in her office. Show says that they are the perfect power couple because he will help her make Smackdown what she wants it and she will help make him WWE Champion. Eve knocks on the door and comes in. She says she has a few questions for Vickie, the first being if she thinks the Undertaker is here tonight. The second is, if so, do you think he will see retribution for what happened to him at Unforgiven. Vickie looks displeased and tells her to move on. Eve says that on a more personal note, she’s been training really hard to get into the ring but hasn’t had a match yet. She tells Eve to sit down and then pulls her down to the couch. Big Show holds up and remote and says that he will show her why her first question is irrelevant. He points the remote presumably at a TV and we then see footage of what Show did to Undertaker at Unforgiven.

- Commercial Break #1 -

[When we return we see the Red Cross promo voiced by HBK]

Jesse and Festus come out when we return and are again dressed as moving men. Festus pushes the hand truck and Jesse carries a large roll of bubble wrap.

Match #2: Festus vs. Ryan Braddock:
Festus snaps as the bell rings and begins throwing huge rights and lefts. Braddock moves from the corner and then dropkicks Festus into it. He throws rights and lefts and then pushes him again. Festus comes back with some huge rights and lefts and throws Braddock to the corner. He crushes him and then goes off the ropes and is trips by Braddock. He applies a submission but Festus powers out and slams him. He then plants him and hits a diving mount like maneuver. Jesse says it’s moving time and comes in the ring with the packing materials as the referee calls for the bell. He begins duct taping Braddock up.

- Commercial Break #2 -

When we return, Jesse and Festus have Braddock wrapped in bubble wrap and on the hand truck. They then push him away.

Backstage:
Show and Vickie are in the back. He asks what she is going to do if the Undertaker shows up tonight. She says she is going to make him get on his knees and make him apologize, Show says he will beat the Undertaker the same say he did at Unforgiven because it felt good slamming his fists into Taker’s face and chest over and over again. They then watch some more footage of Show assaulting Undertaker.

Shelton appears on screen and says that for weeks he’s been telling us what its like to be him and be on top. He says that he always makes smart decisions unlike his opponent, who spent time in the state penitentiary. He says that someone like that can never be in the same league as the Gold Standard. He comes down to the ring for his match.

R-Truth then appears at the top of some stairs in the crowd and sings his theme music as he walks down to the ring.

Match #3: Shelton Benjamin vs. R-Truth:
They stand off and stare each other down. They lock up and Shelton takes Truth down. He comes back with a knee to the face but Shelton comes back with some kicks. Truth goes off the ropes and hits a corkscrew flying forearm. Shelton hits some kicks and retakes control. He picks him up, chops him, and knees him in the gut. Truth counters with a slam and scores a near fall. Shelton then hits a t-bone suplex out of nowhere. He then hit some shots to the back of the head and applies a backbreaker submission maneuver. Shelton drops the hold and kicks Truth in the ribs. He whips Truth into the corner hard and he falls. Shelton goes into a chinlock with his knee on Truth’s back. Truth comes back with some rights and lefts and knees along with a forearm. Shelton hits a knee out of desperation and they break for a moment but Shelton hits a takedown. He then drops an elbow on Truth’s lower back and then goes back into the chinlock. Truth fights up with rights and lefts but Shelton goes off the ropes and tries a sleeper but Truth counters into a jaw breaker. Truth kicks Shelton and goes for a scissor kick but Shelton counters and goes for a German suplex. Truth manages to counter this into a roll up and pick up the win.

{Hurricane Helms appears in a small circle in the corner of the screen. He says he is here with a news flash which is that the price of gold just went down. He’s just saying. He then disappears.}

- Commercial Break #3 -

[When we return, we see the WWE Slam of the Week. It is footage of the Fatal 4-Way last week]

Hardy gets a mic when he comes out. He says he’s been in and out of the WWE off and on now for about ten years. He says he’s can’t lie that all of that time hasn’t been good. He says that over the years he has become known as a risk taker and our charismatic enigma. He says that something Triple H said last week got to him. Triple H said that he was always reaching for that brass ring but could never quite make it. He says at first he was angry but then he realized what Triple H was trying to do; he was trying to motivate him. He says that he succeeded and now he’s motivated, pumped up, and better then ever. He says that at No Mercy he won’t be reaching for a brass ring, he’ll be reaching for Triple H’s WWE Title. He then says that someone else he’d like to address is Vladimir Kozlov. He says that Kozlov is always claiming he’s looking for a challenge but he attacked Hardy from behind instead of facing him like a man.

[Hardy is then cut off by Kendrick’s music as he and Zeke come to the stage and then walk to the ring.]

Kendrick says that he thinks Jeff is forgetting somebody. He says that regardless of what Kozlov did to him last week, he has bigger fish to fry, because he has to face The Brian Kendrick tonight. Jeff asks if that’s The Brian Kendrick whom he beat in The Fatal 4-Way to become The #1 Contender? Kendrick says that last week was some kind of crazy free for all and wasn’t the right platform for him to show off his talents.

Match #4: Jeff Hardy vs. The Brian Kendrick:
Hardy nails Kendrick and stomps him down in the corner. He drags him across the ring and throws him into the other corner. He looks like he’s going for a power bomb but Kendrick reverses and dumps Hardy to the mat before knocking him from the ring and down to the floor.

- Commercial Break #4 -

Kendrick has Hardy on the mat in an leg lock maneuver when we return. Hardy manages to get the rope to break the hold. Kendrick stomps him down and then dropkicks him in the face to score a near fall. He applies a Texas snap mare after a kick to the spine. The move breaks and Hardy hits mule kick to the sternum. He grabs Kendrick by the leg and then goes off the ropes after dodging him. He hits Kendrick with a face buster and scores a near fall. Hardy goes to go to the top but Kendrick grabs his leg. He kicks Hardy and takes him down. He whips him across the ring but he jumps to the second rope and stops. He turns around and Kendrick goes for The Kendrick but Hardy flips him over into a backslide and picks up the win.

Hardy goes up the ramp as the replay is shown, but when he gets to the top he stops to pose. As he turns around to leave, he is kicked in the head and knocked out by Vladimir Kozlov.

Backstage:
Vickie is in her office when Show rushes in. He seems scared and says that he just saw The Undertaker. He turns to face the door as the camera enters presumably allowing us to see through the eyes of the Undertaker. He walks in and Vickie tells show she’ll handle this. She tells Taker to get on his knees and the camera lowers to that level. She demands an apology and he says he’s sorry. She says that isn’t good enough and demands that he kiss her feet. The camera looks down and he does so. The camera then pans back as they start laughing to reveal Chavo in an Undertaker costume. They joke that it was a good impression and Big Show syas he wishes it was the real thing. He then picks up the remote and they watch more footage of Show destroying Undertaker at Unforgiven.

- Commercial Break #5 -

Carlito’s Cabana:
Carlito gives Primo an apple as the show starts. He tests the microphone and then welcomes everyone to the Cabana. He says he was great to return to SmackDown last week, but it was even better teaming up with his special guest tonight, his baby brother Primo. He then asks Primo what it was like to score his first victory. Primo says he was surprised that it was so easy to win. He says if all of the competition on SmackDown is that easy, it won’t be long before they are the tag team champions.

[At this, Hawkins and Ryder’s music hits and they come to the ring.]

{While they come to the ring, Hurricane Helms again appears in his little circle. He says these guys are the tag team champs? Curt and Zach? How about Curt and Dirt. He’s just saying.}

Hawkins says to let him get this straight in that they think they think they deserve a tag team title shot. Primo asks Carlito who these guys are and Carlito asks the same. They state their names and that they are the tag team champions. They say that the only thing they did last week was get lucky. They say that at least people know who they are. Ryder says that they were on the team of the Rater –R Superstar Edge in La Famila. Primo is surprised at these last words and that they speak Spanish too. He begins insulting them in Spanish when Carlito puts his hand over Primo’s mouth and says that he basically told them they weren’t cool. Hawkins and Ryder finally agree to give The Colons a tag team title match next week. They say that when they win, that will be cool and Carlito tells them not to steal his lines.

Carlito’s music plays and he says that the show is over and asks if they can get someone to pack their stuff up. Jesse and Festus appear with more packing materials and walk to the ring when the tag champs attack the Colons. Jesse runs into the fray and attacks Hawkins as Ryder and Carlito roll from the ring fighting. Primo crawls over and rings the ball causing Festus to transform. He runs in and attacks Hawkins and Ryder and they then run up the ramp with Jesse in pursuit. Festus rips a palm tree from the turnbuckle it is attacked to and chases them up the ramp. Carlito and Primo get back in the ring and Carlito throws his hands up at his destroyed Cabana.

- Commercial Break #6 -

Backstage:
In the back, Maria shows some of her clothing designs to Brie Bella. She asks if Maria will make her a new ring outfit and when she agrees she asks for two exactly the same. Maria asks why and wouldn’t she like it in another color when Victoria and Natalya walk in. They say they have figured out why she hides under the ring and comes our refreshed and Victoria says she is having an affair with Hornswoggle, which they both laugh at. They then challenge Brie to a match next week and say that she can even bring the fashion designer to be over there to the party as well. Maria takes offense at this as Natalya takes Maria’s sketch book. She begins tearing up her outfit drawings as she and Victoria leave.

Scotty Goldman is in the ring. He appears in a footage box as well and makes fun of the Great Khali and Ranjin.

Match #5: Scotty Goldman vs. Great Khali:
Khali throws Goldman across the ring and then into the corner. He kicks him several times and then uses his foot to choke him out on the rope. He slams him hard into the corner and he falls. He slams Khali hits a clothesline and then nails a huge Khali Bomb and simply uses one foot to cover him for the win.

Backstage:
Chavo, Hawkins, Ryder, and Bam are in Vickie’s office. They are discussing something when Chavo asks them to leave. He says he needs some alone time because he doesn’t have a whole lot of good things happening for him right now. He says that seeing Big Show destroy Undertaker again will help. They leave and Chavo watches the footage but in the middle it is interrupted by shots of Undertaker as seen in his entrance. Chavo seems confused when the rotating shots stops on a picture of Taker and his eyes roll back. He turns around and the Undertaker’s hand wraps around his throat. We see this presumably through Taker’s eyes as Chavo gasps for breath.

- Commercial Break #7 -

Triple H comes to the ring for his match when we return. MVP comes out next.

Match #6: Triple H vs. MVP:
They lock up and Triple H pushes MVP into the corner. The referee breaks them up and MVP poses as Triple H stares him down. They lock up again and MVP applies a headache. He whips MVP off the ropes but he takes Triple H down. He hits an arm drag and then does his basketball taunt. They lock up a third time and MVP gets whipped of the ropes before taking Triple H down with a shoulder block. MVP tries to counter Triple H’s right hand but he reverses and takes him down. He hits some more big rights and then takes MVP to the corner where he chokes him out. He throws him across the ring and then takes him down into a headlock.

- Commercial Break #8 -

MVP uses the top rope to assault Triple H’s arm until the referee breaks it at a four count. [We see footage of Triple H being thrown head over hells out of the ring during the commercial.] MVP throws some rights and lefts and then hits a face buster to scores a near fall. He torques Triple H’s arm as he hits some clubbing blows to the back of the head. Triple H kicks MVP in the corner but MVP takes him down by the bad leg and scores a near fall. MVP applies an armlock on the injured left arm of the champ. The hold turns into a wrist lock as Triple H gets to his feet. MVP hits another shot to the arm and then hits some knees it as he applies a hammerlock. He turns it into a half nelson and scores a near fall. MVP applies an armbar and hits some more shots to the injured arm. Triple H begins throwing shots with rights but MVP takes him back to the arm. He turns it into the armlock again but Triple H gets to his feet. MVP hits a knee and whips Triple H but he reverses and kicks Trips in the face. He takes him down with an armbar and scores a near fall. MVP runs up and hits a hard shot to Triple H’s arm. He goes for the running kick but Triple H turns around and hits a high knee. He then throws rights at MVP and hits a neck breaker. He hits another right but is whipped off the ropes. He comes back with a face to the knee and then scores a near fall. He whips MVP across the ring but is kicked in the shoulder. He runs at Triple H and gets a AA spinebuster for his efforts. MVP slides from the ring and lures Triple H to the announce table where he slams Triple H’s face into it. They get back in the ring and MVP goes off the top but Triple H catches him, turns it into a pedigree, and picks up the win.

After the match, Vladimir Kozlov comes to the stage and stares down Triple H. He then walks down the ramp and gets on the apron. He stares him down some more as Triple H tells him to get in the ring. MVP jumps on the apron and distracts Triple H allowing Kozlov to hit some rights. Triple H comes back with some rights and lefts. He then hits a hard shot to Kozlov’s face, but Kozlov whips him off the ropes and nails the big head butt. He then stands over the fallen champ and looks down at him.

I can't wait for Helms to return!!!

And I'm sorry, but R-Truth is not all that. WWE needs to stop making him out to be such a hot shot. I've seen lots of people better than him in the WWE. But they had R-Truth once upon a time, and he was really good then. I liked him with Road Dogg, but now.. he just sucks. I can't stand him at all. He can take all his ghetto fans and "what's up" in a back alley for all I'm concerned!

Nah R-Truth is a good athlete. Natural athlete. That's a good thing. The thing they do need to do with him is have him change his gimmick. I'm not gonna lie. I hate his theme music. I hate his dancing. I can deal with the whole What's Up line...but thats about it. He needs to be taken as a serious competitor and this isn't helping at all.

To who? I just told you I disagree.

HBK is getting old. He's still a good wrestler. He's a risk though. You can only push him so far before he has to rest for his injuries. Look how sluggish the entire main event scene looks besides Jericho and HBK (who might I add is working with bad knees and a bad back, so I'll give him awesome and dumb points for that). Batista is made up of muscles for no reason, JBL is fat, Kane has a genuine beer gut, even Rey Mysterio has a gut and has been working slowish. HBK is out performing a bunch of tired old wrestlers. HBK still impresses in the ring sure, I'll give you that...maybe if they stopped showing his bald spots and wrinkles...maybe just maybe. You can see what Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, JTG (who is actually quite the energetic one), and a whole bunch of people. You don't see Paul London on there anymore, Chuck Palumbo, Deuce... You just see a bunch of gut and a guy who doesn't want to be demoted to mid-card...HBK.

Um, are we pretending that John Cena, Randy Orton, and CM Punk don't exist? I mean two of them may be injured but Punk put on a hell of a performance in that Steel Cage last monday night. The young factor is still there but they are being pushed to the point of injury. Hell, even Greg Helms and Mr. Kennedy can be put in that category.

As for the "gut" in the main event picture, no one said that a professional wrestler had to look like a body builder to be successful in the industry. Take a look any any wrestler from back in the hayday of pro wrestling. Most of them had a gut of some kind or another and they got the job done just fine. I'll analogate it this way. If an old fat man named Babe Ruth can set the home run record for all of baseball, then some impressive atheletes with a bit of stomach flab should have no problem competiting for a wrestling title.

As for HBK< he may be slightly injured, but for a man his age with his history of injury, he is going way above and beyond what another man in his condition would be capable of. And if I know HBK, he'll pull a Ric Flair and he'll be around for quite some time.

Mr. Kennedy is old too they pushed him he got injured he lost flame. He came back looking like he could've had another chance but they stuck him in matches with Umaga. John Cena and even Orton have been pushed down our throats. Neither of them had a respectable reign. Vince had a fetish for John. Dude held the belt for a year. Orton hardly got clean wins and even jobbed out on RAW a lot. It's not even they're getting pushed to injury. How many young talent have injury? How many of you believe in Punk to be Champion again? You do? They should have him in that title picture but nah...it's HBK.

You see it's not even the gut thing that bothers me. It's the fact that in this business you need to be physically able to perform. These guts that these once amazing body wrestlers have gotten only prove their getting more lazy or that they used to be on something that helped. I mean seriously look at that main event picture. Batista used to be able to run a marathon in the ring. He's lost steam though, he's still brolic, he's just really sluggish, he sells moves badly things like that. I'll retract my statement about the gut I think it was just a scapegoat for the actual performance of these wrestlers.

As for HBK< he may be slightly injured, but for a man his age with his history of injury, he is going way above and beyond what another man in his condition would be capable of. And if I know HBK, he'll pull a Ric Flair and he'll be around for quite some time.

I'll go on the record right now and say that I don't hate HBK. I just don't like how long he's been in spotlight for. Ric Flair didn't get a WHC push. He didn't main event ppvs. He didn't even mind feuding with Dykstra...HBK hasn't been in the mid-card for a while now. And I mean like pointless matches mid-card which is what the young talent is succumb too. I like HBK. He is a good wrestler. The one thing I can't do is accept him in the title picture. HBK needs to start helping the younger talent immediately.

He is helping the younger talent. He's Helping Y2J get across more as let's face it y2j will win the ladder match. He helped Cena get across (damn him for that) , He helped Orton and Edge , Batista , Shelton.

The thing with Ric Flair and HBK is WWF as WWF at one point relied heavily on HBK to carry the company and is pretty much a WWE built wrestler. Flair was big BEFORE wwf he doesn't have that homegrown feel to him.

Plus Flair in the last 5-6 years couldn't really put on a 5 star match HBK can. HBK can do it while making the other guy look very good. HBK is still as popular as the main event guys Flair wasn't really near the end till his retirement.

So while WWE used flair to get more midcarders across they can use hbk in the same way for main eventers and it works.

Ah really? Y2J is not a young talent. He's been around the block for a while.

You know why I really don't like HBK "helping the main event"...They're main event for a reason. They can carry their own stuff. HBK needs to step down to mid-card, help DiBiase like he helped Orton. Help Kofi. Help Rhodes. The people with no push. They need HBK's rub not Y2J who's beaten him enough times.

he's not young but he needs someone who he can beat and that person will still be credible. E.g Umaga rose to main event, He faced Cena Cena kept beating him and Umaga was pushed down to mid card/upper mid card. So it helped one but hurt the other.

When that same thing happened to HBK he was still seen as credible as it was HBK. Smackdown uses the Undertaker in the same way (but he goes down to midcard more as he is better at establishing the new guys. (Still Undertaker is my favourite though)

It works well and helps out the company. I like that.

anybody else thinks that No Surrender was a utter waste of time? save from a few matches

When most of their storylines are copyed from ones used by the WWE back in 1991, then TNA as a whole is an utter waste of time.

Hey guys, I'm afraid I have some bad news. Today is my first day starting some night classes this semester, so my recap schedule is going to be thrown out of whack. The Raw Recap will definatley be gone for at least 6 weeks and ECW Edition will be gone for a while once they move the show up to 9pm (which is in 1 week I believe).

However, all is not lost, because I have no class on Friday so the Smackdown Rebound will continue as normal. Also, the X-Pound will continue to be posted every Wed and Sat so that my presence is still felt here, lol.

Before I go, I'll take a move from DX and throw out a shameless promotion. If anyone is interested in seeing what might happen in a fictional WWE world in which TNA has been bought out and the brands have been revamped with new titles and other such changes, then check out my fanfiction The Brand Wars, down in the fanfiction section!

Ladies and Gentlemen. In honor of this being my last post as an active member I'd like to do it in this thread.

I've been a member for about 1 year and I guess in total I've contributed ... about maybe 1,500, give or take a few, posts. And there's always been one thing that bothered me and another that always brought me peace. I'm not in the mood to discuss what the thing is that bothered me but I will say this.

I found a family in this thread one that I'm reluctant to give up but one I think I need too because you'd be enough to bring me back. Nah. I can't do it though. I can't stay and I'd like to thank you guys for being the friends you are.

This is the one thread I'd know I'd come back too shall I post again.

So in memory of wrestling the thing that brought us together here... I think I'll cut a promo.

"Thousands and thousands of posts before...you'd look at me and think, 'noob'. Well thousands of posts ago I started to do some growing. who would've ever thought that I come from lolzx to lol? Who would've ever thought that the guy who started off as Red X and ended up banned...the guy who would never stay away from RT, HH, HT, and RT, the same guy who ended up coming back again again. As redforeverx, Lyez D., Double Up...and now Legendary...Who would've ever thought...I'd be going away? Well fact is. I'm a champion in my own sense, I prided myself on being the best this board has got to offer but I came to realize something. My user name Legendary...it wasn't about me. It was about you. You are the Legendary ones... I'm proud to say goodbye here and sad at the same time. Be good. I know I'll try."

Did I miss something here? Did something go down to cause Legendary to leave?

As for Raw so far - It was nice seeing Shane again. He's getting old.. getting some of daddy's grey hair, LOL.

I can't wait for Randy to be back in action, that's for sure. CM Punk needs to go drink a Pepsi and leave wrestling to the good people like Cody.. yeah, Cody is sooo hot! Sorry. LOL.

Santino is something else, and Beth trying to make him stand up to Batista.. LOL.

Legendary's leaving?!?!?!?! Holy crap!!

Sorry to see you go man, we'll miss you! I understand that real life has to some first sometimes, and that even this board isn't perfect. If you feel you need to leave then I support you man. I just want to say thanks for all of the encouragement when I started my recaps, and the X-Pound, and my fanfiction. Go and deal with whatever you need to take care of, but just know that if you ever need us, the RT family is here.

And if you're not down with that, I got just two words for ya!!!!!!!!

:( Bye Byez

SmackDown superstar MVP did a Q&A with USA Today to promote WWE's move to MyNetworkTV next week. When asked what WWE superstar from the past or present that he'd like to wrestle, he said The Rock. He also said that while in prison several years ago, he learned to "believe in yourself because, prison is full of despair and hopelessness and its easy to give up on life."

No one in TNA was homegrown they all come from different promotions. The one person who is homegrown is Jeff Jarrett. TNA started as weekly ppv's with guys from NWA and ROH and on the indy circuit. They never had a development area where they developed the stars of tomorrow. They just took them from different places.

I like TNA dude, don't get me wrong, I love it. I love watching it, it just comes off bad a lot of the time which is why I bash it. The Knockouts (Christy Yummmmmie) are superior to the Divas but I'm telling you, don't underestimate the Divas, one day they will be dominate.

Triple H whips him off the ropes and applies a sleeper hold but Jericho counters with a back suplex. Jericho goes for a lionsault but Triple H moves. He then tries to lock in a figure four on Jericho but he reverses into the Walls of Jericho. Triple H tries to get to the ropes but Jericho drags hium back to the center of the ring. Hardy comes in and Jericho breaks his hold to go for the Walls on Hardy. He reverses and throws Jericho into the corner. He then hits a kick and a bulldog followed by a near fall. He then slams Jericho into the corner again and hits a side effect. He turns around and is kicked by triple H. He then hits the pedigree and picks up the win.

Jericho hits a cheap shot on Triple H and takes him down. He then pulls a ladder out from under the ring. He begins by nailing Hardy in the face with the ladder and then placed Hardy’s body into it. Jeff Hardy comes running out and saves Matt from the ladder. As he checks on Matt, Triple H gets up. Jeff turns around as Triple H gets up and hits him with the Twist of Fate. Jeff then sets up the ladder and goes for a Swanton but Vladimir Kozlov appears and hits him with the headbutt and then a modified DDT leaving him in the ring.

Yes it's because he's no longer seeing her. Most rumours and sources say he's now with Michelle McCool

No Mercy was a bowl of hotcakes. ;)

I actually enjoyed most of the show. Raw really lacked. Batista and JBL smelt of shit. As did Candice vs Beth. I'm sorry people who like Candice but she's got to go to ECW to be eye candy. She's not deserving of anything else until she can prove she can wrestle.

I thought no mercy was ok last night. Not the best but still a solid p.p.v

After Big show vs Undertaker is anyone else thinking one of two things :

a) Cyber Sunday a last man standing match

or

b) the return of the gogoplata since tombstone and chokeslam may not be enough.

2 things about No Mercy:

1. Even though I'm a big HHH fan, I still think they should've let Hardy win.
2. Jericho broke his tooth and possibly really hurt his knee, and he still won the match! *applause for Y2J*

Change in Cyber Sunday
-- In case you don't know, the voting for this year's Cyber Sunday pay-per-view is different. In previous years, fans would log on to the WWE site to cast their votes for the various match stipulations. This year, in order to cast your vote, there will be a charge because they're only doing it via text messaging. The charge is $0.99 per single vote plus standard text messaging rates. Last year, WWE garnered 13 million votes online.

http://rajah.com/base/node/13758

First of all! Big mistake not only is this stupid its gonna effect the voting. I garuntee half of that 13 million wont make a text because their too young and do not have cell phones or parents say no to the ones that do. I for one am not going to text a vote for every match for 99 cents. If wwe got 13 million votes online then they shouldnt take that away. 13 million is alot of votes.

Also.....

What you didnt see on raw?

Dark Match before show started was Dolph Diggler beating Charlie Hass who was dressed as Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Dark Match after show went off the air was Batista and Rey Mysterio beating Chris Jericho and Kane.

It was announced to the live crowd that No Way Out will be in Seattle this year and the promo video heavily hyped the Elimination Chamber.

Before the show went on the air they told everyone to hold up their signs for the camera then they proceed to remove all the signs they didn't like. The only threee I could see what it said that got removed were a sign that said "I miss Benoit...RIP" and the same guy had one that said "I am CM Punk's Drug Dealer" and then another guy had one that said "4skin" and it got removed.

Most signs were removed by a WWE guy who was positioned near the announce tables and then during commercials he would go out and grab the signs.

It's also stupid as it says :

U.S. residents who are subscribers to a participating wireless service and who have a wireless device capable of 2 way messaging (“Eligible Voters”) are invited to text message their vote on match stipulations for matches which will take place at the Cyber Sunday pay-per-view event on Sunday, October 26, 2008

That means people like me in the UK can't vote. I know a lot of people in the uk who votes on this so they just eliminated international votes as well.

I personal think it's because of the million dollar give away. each vote = $o.99 so when 6 million votes are cast they get their money back that they gave away (or most of it)

It sounds farfetched but he did give away the money out of his own back account. And yes, it sounded rigged when he called up the winners, but that's because they called them up before the show and let them know of the news and then called them up during the show again, hence why it wasn't so enthusiastic the first time around but was the second.

Plus, seeing as he was actually giving away money, while it did increase traffic for the WWE.com website, it did nothing for the ratings, which is why it was ended.

Friday Night – October 10, 2008

Show Opening:
[The show opens with footage of the Big Show/Undertaker match from No Mercy]

Vickie is in the ring, in her chair with a neck brace on. Chavo is with her. She tries to speak but gets massive. She says that two weeks ago she wasn’t in that wheelchair nor was she wearing that neck brace. She says that two weeks ago she was brutally and savagely by the Undertaker. In the middle of the ring he turned her upside down and tombstone her. She says that she can still hear the crushing sounds of her vertebrae compressing. She can still feel to this day the series of pain going up and down her spine. Once again she is confined to that hideous wheelchair and horrible neck brace. But she says that last Sunday, Undertaker got his. She says h seas dominated and humiliated. He was knocked unconscious and left quivering in the middle of the ring. She says that the man who did that will be rewarded tonight with a shot at the WWE Title. She then introduces the Big Show.

[Show’s music hits and he comes to the ring.]

Show says he told us so. He says he told each and every one of us what was going to happen and we didn’t believe him. He says we chose to cheer for the Undertaker and cheer his name and ask him to summon his dark powers and give them a reason to cheer. But in the end, it was all nothing compared to his fist. He says that he felt Undertaker’s face crumble under him and that the man we know as the Undertaker will never be the same again. He says if we don’t believe him, look at this. [The footage of the match is shown] He says that there is a knockout and then there us him. There are heavyweight punchers, and then there are him. He says he has knocked out everyone from World Champ Chris Jericho, to Great Khali, to Undertaker. He says that no one has ever gotten up from his punch and no one ever will. He says that brings him to tonight, after which he will not only be the man that knocked out the Undertaker twice, but the WWE Champion as well.

[Vladimir Kozlov’s music hits and he comes to the ring.]

Kozlov speaks in Russian for a moment, and then says that he is challenging the winner of tonight’s championship match, whether that is Triple H or Big Show. Show responds by saying that he has two reasons why Kozlov should reconsider. One, he is a giant. Two, while some people there might not like him, at least he is an American.

- Commercial Break #1 -

Match #1: Brie Bella vs. Natalya:
Natalya is accompanied by Victoria. Brie mounts Nataya and throws some rights and lefts. They roll around the ring until the referee breaks them up. Natalya hits some kicks and throws Brie into the corner. Brie bounces off the second rope, takes Natalya down and scores a near fall. Brie manages to back slide Natalya and scores a near fall. Brie is whipped to the corner but hits an elbow on Natalya but is hit with a huge clothesline when she turns around. Natalya slaps Brie and throws her to the amt before applies a sleeper hold. Brie fights out, goes off the ropes, and flips Natalya to the mat to score a near fall. They slide from the ring and Brie goes under the ring. Victoria grabs her and gets pulled halfway under the ring before coming back up in a sitting position. Suddenly, Hornswoggle appears from under the ring and jumps on Victoria. He then chases her around the ring and up the ramp. Brie pops out on the ramp side of the ring and waves at Natalya distracting her. He reveals that his full name is Kung Funaki. R-Truth says that reminds him of a song, and he sings “Everybody wants Kung Fu-naki.” They sing together and then Truth leaves as Funaki continues singing.

Locker Room:
Triple H has a cell phone out and is typing on it. Jeff Hardy walks in and sits next to him. Hunter says that he was texting for Cyber Sunday but couldn’t decide between Austin and HBK as the special referee. Hardy says he watched their match from No Mercy, and thought it was amazing. He also says that he thinks it’s unfair that he has to defend the title just five days after that match. Hardy wishes him luck and leaves, but then reappears. He says that whoever wins the title match, which he doubts will be Triple H, he will be making a challenge toward.

I can tolerate some TNA. I'm hugely looking forward to it. I am however gonna tune in for the Jarrett-Angle match which promises to either be good or the biggest flop on the PPV. I know Sting-Joe won't disappoint but at the same time I'm not gonna hold my breathe.

As for WWE programming this week, great stuff. I am eagerly awaiting John Cena (thought I'd never say that. I just can't stand JBL and Batista.), Randy Orton, and Melina to come back. I'm also looking forward to Kofi's push.

Well, it’s been a while since one of these, hasn’t it? Too long if you ask me, so here we go with a recap of the whole week:

1) World Heavyweight Title – Jericho is doing a great job in his heel role. He’s right up there on the list of guys you love to hate. His role as GM this past Monday was a perfect way to build heat for him, especially now that his rivalry is switching to Batista. As for their Cyber Sunday match, I’d say Austin will win with HBK a close second.

2) IC Title – Santino is still hilarious, no doubt about it. The choices for his opponent are varied and the choice will be close. Piper and Santino already have a history after the whole deal with Cousin Sal, but I think Honky Tonk Man will win simply because Santino has been using the Honk-A-Meter lately.

3) Great Khali – Ah, gotta love it when celebrities feud with wrestlers. I’m finding it hard to decide who to route for in this conflict. Knoxville is nuts, but it will take that to face Khali on his turf. As for the “Khali Kiss Cam” I’m not quite sure what to say. It’s funny, no doubt, but I don’t much see how this relates to the Knoxville feud. But hey, anything to get Ratings right?

4) ECW - Not all that sure what’s been going on with ECW I’m afraid. I’ll have to try and catch it this week so I can properly update on it this coming week. I do know that there was an 8-man tag match that I’m sorry I missed.

5) U.S. Title – Shelton and R-Truth make good rivals. They have opposing styles and opposing personalities. I’m glad to see that the U.S. Title actually exists again in the eyes of the writers, as it’s been almost non existent since Shelton won it. This could be a match at Cyber Sunday, but they may also wait to develop the story further.

6) Diva’s Match – Is it just me or is the Brie Bella twin angle becoming more and more obvious? Anyone (especially those that were in attendance last week) can tell she’s a twin. Plus, anyone who knows anything about FCW knows as well. I hope they reveal her soon, because at this rate it’s getting ridiculous. Although, it was good to see Hornswoggle!!

7) Show/Taker - The match with the Big Show was as I expected, though I was almost hoping that he would win. Taker’s entrance was great and he got the better of Show, but this rivalry is really making him look bad. He hasn’t won a PPV match in months and his only good move is to appear in the darkness and start punching somebody. Can we give this guy back his ability to light people on fire or something? Sheesh.

8) WWE Title – Triple H retaining wasn’t a big surprise. I knew it wouldn’t be a solid victory though, as that would make Show look weak and they can’t afford that if they want the Show/Taker storyline to be believable. As for Kozlov, we need to get this guy some Prozac because he’s getting out of control. I’m surprised he’s getting a push this early in his career, but hopefully WWE actually has a plan for this and it’s not just throwing out a line and hoping to catch something, then reeling it back in when it doesn’t work or when you’re done with it. *cough*CM Punk*cough* As for Cyber Sunday, I foresee Triple H vs. either Kozlov alone or Hardy and Kozlov in a Triple Threat. Either way, I bet the fans will vote on the match type. Triple H will probably win and then feud with Big Show, Taker, or more likely, a newly returned Edge.
------------------------------------------------

And now, X-Pound Trivia!!

I don’t even remember the last question, so I’ll just move on to this one:

Which superstar below has won the World, Tag Team, Intercontinental, Hardcore, and European Championships?

a) The Undertaker
b) Stone Cold Steve Austin
c) Hulk Hogan
d) Chris Jericho
-------------------------------------------------

That’s it for now! Thanks for Reading!

Wow, thanks for confirming that, Vince! Glad to have you aboard!

I hope it's Koslov vs HHH. I liked Koslov ever since 2007 when he would appear in the crowd and they'd ask him which brand he'd join etc.(I lub Double Double E lol)

If it's hardy again I'll be bored since it's gonna be the same main event over and over again.

Haha Atleast it's not HBK-Cena. God that was boring, good matches, but boring. Hardy-HHH isn't truly story driven but it is something besides we're two faces who respect each other.

There goes another WWE Superstar capable of more potential, given the boot. WWE is really starting to remind me of WCW and how they only kept Main Eventers at that Main Eventers. They may let few in but they always focus on the main ones: Triple H, Batista, John Cena, Randy Orton, Big Show, Mark Henry...the list goes on and on and on.

Ok, since this thread it a bit dead right now, I have a new topic to discuss:

Who should Charlie Haas impersonate next?
Here is a list of those he has dressed up as so far, just for reference:

1) Charlito (Carlito)
2) John Cena
3) Charlie Haas Layfield - CHL (JBL)
4) Good Ole' JH - Jim Haas (Jim Ross)
5) Mr. Perfect
6) The Great Charli (The Great Khali)
7) Haas Hogan (Hulk Hogan)

Unaired Impressions:

1) Haaswoggle (Hornswoggle) - Gimmick planned for No Mercy but cut last minute because it would have taken time away from the WHT Ladder match.

2) Rowdy Charlie Piper (Rowdy Roddy Piper) - Lost a dark match to Dolph Ziggler before Raw the night after No Mercy. Was likely not shown on TV as it would have taken away from Piper's announcement as a choice to face Santino at Cyber Sunday.

Charlie Haas is now the man again I like this gimmick especially for the PG rating that WWE is aiming for plus it keeps names of guys who haven't been around fresh.

A lot of people are speculating that the Intercontinental match at Cyber Sunday will end up being Haas anyways.

Hass-a-Tonk Man
Goldhass
And the un-aired Rowdy Charlie Piper

GoldPhoenixRanger
10-17-2008, 02:45 AM
Actually, to talk real wrestling history, there have been proposals that Haas dress up as Ultimate Warrior and take the title from Santino with no fight the way the real Warrior took the title from Honky Tonk Man to end his 64 week reign.

Also, he could be Stone Cold Steve Haastin which would give them an excuse to bring Austin to Raw before Cyber Sunday.

Finally, I throw out the idea of The Haas, because I can smell what he's cookin! lol

lol....

I downloaded Evan Bourne's theme yesterday only a minute long the copy I have but I enjoy nonetheless. I am in love with this guy's push and ability and anything. He's gonna have an ECW title reign in 09 going into 10 I predict if they keep him on ECW. Unless this guy learns to talk he wouldn't make it on RAW without being in a tag team.

Friday Night – October 17th, 2008 – Las Vegas, NV

Show Opening:
Big Show comes to the ring with Chavo to start the show. He says that this is going to end badly, for one person specifically. He says that He challenged Undertaker’s fortitude and the strength of his chin, but he never questioned his intelligence. He asks if his fist knocked Taker stupid. He says that difference between them is that he took down Taker for attacking a defenseless woman, whereas Taker attacked Show in a WWE Title match. He then says that at Cyber Sunday it will be Big Show vs. The Undertaker, and he’s going to let all of Taker’s fans choose his demise. He says that the first choice is a Last Man Standing match, which is a test of endurance. The second, which is Vickie Guerrero’s personal favorite, is an I Quit match, two words which Undertaker has never uttered, and which Show would be more then happy to oblige him. The final choice, and Show’s personal favorite, is a Knockout match. He says he understands that there can be some confusion about voting especially at this time of year, and so he has three wrestlers under contract to help him demonstrate these three matches. [One by one, three unnamed superstars each come to the ring and face Show in one of the three match types, first the knockout, then the I quit, and finally the Last Man standing. Big Show annihilates all three men.] He then asks if there are any questions and then says he didn’t think so. It is also specifically noted that this match alone can be voted for exclusivley on WWE.com.

[Hurricane Helms appears in his little circle during the third superstar’s entrance and asks “sideburns” if he saw what happened to the first two. He’s just saying]

[Backstage, The Colons head to the ring to defend their tag titles]

- Commercial Break #1 -

Match #1: WWE Tag Titles - Carlito & Primo vs. Hawkins & Ryder:
Primo and Ryder start the match. They exchange armbars and Primo scores a near fall. He flips Ryder out of the corner and scores another near fall. Carlito gets the tag, goes off the rope, hits a leg drop, and scores a near fall. Ryder is whipped off the ropes but stops near the apron. He flips Carlito to the apron as Hawkins attacks him. He fights off Hawkins but Ryder nails him and he crashed into the fan barricade. He is thrown back in as Hawkins gets the tag. He works the back of Carlito and then tags Ryder back in for a double team maneuver before Ryder scores another near fall. Ryder applies an abdominal submission as Carlito tries to crawl over and make a tag. They get up and Carlito is whipped off the ropes. Ryder picks up but Carlito reverses into a modified neck breaker. Both men make the tag as Primo unloads on Hawkins. He hits some lariats off the ropes but is hit with a boot to the face. Primo comes back with a neck breaker and scores a near fall. He then goes to the top rope, nails a missile dropkick, and picks up the win.

[We then see an update promo for John Cena]

Eve interviews MVP in the back. She asks him if he has a strategy against R-Truth tonight, as he has been on a losing streak whereas R-Truth is on a winning streak. MVP says that all those tag team matches he was forced to participate didn’t count because he is a singles competitor. He says that all he needs is one more victory for his incentive clause to kick in. He says he will get that victory tonight. He reminds us that he was the longest reigning US Champion in history, and speaking of US Champions, he is going to do what our current champion couldn’t do, and that’s get the win on R-Truth. When he does and gets his incentive, he’ll be in the casino ballin’!!

[We then see a promo for the Hardy/Kozlov match tonight, featuring footage of Kozlov assaulting Hardy several weeks ago]

[MVP comes to the ring first, followed by R-Truth singing his rap song]

- Commercial Break #2 -

Match #2: MVP vs. R-Truth:
They lock up and MVP pushes Truth to the corner until the ref breaks them up. Truth comes back with some shots and flips MVP to the mat. MVP comes back with some rights and then tries to flip Truth from the ring but he lands on the apron. MVP knocks him off and then throws him back in the ring to score a near fall. He then applies a headlock which Truth fights out of with some elbows. MVP slams him and then throws some rights and whips him off the ropes. Truth gets whipped off the ropes, dodges a clothesline, and hits the corkscrew forearm. He then hits a hard right and whips MVP off the ropes. He comes back with a kick, a neck breaker, and scores a near fall. M goes for a Drive-By kick but Truth dodges with a split. He then hits a shot to the gut, connects with the Scissor Kick, and picks up the win.

[Shelton Benjamin is seen watching the match backstage]

GM Office:
Vickie is in her office talking to Big Show. She says her neck is in so much pain; she has muscle spasms, and can’t sleep at night. She says she is waiting for someone to arrive. Someone knocks on the door. Funaki comes in wearing a karate uniform and says he is Kung Funaki! He then runs out as Show glares at him. There is another knock and Maryse walks in. She is wearing a skimpy maid outfit for the Diva’s Vegas match. She asks why she has to compete in a match to earn a Diva’s title shot. Vickie says it is because they are in Vegas and this is the perfect way to find an opponent for Michelle McCool. She says with all due respect, get out! There is a third knock and Ranjin walks in with The Great Khali. Vickie is relieved to see him and tells him how impressed she has been with him. She says she has a match handpicked for him to showcase his dominance. Khali asks who his opponent is as Vickie says it’s the Undertaker. Ranjin says that if Vickie and Show have problems with Undertaker that’s fine, but Khali isn’t a puppet for them to use. Show gets in Khali’s face and warns him that Vickie is the general manager and that she can make life very difficult for him if he doesn’t listen. Khali and Ranjin leave annoyed.

- Commercial Break #3 -

[When we return, we see a promo for Kizarny]

The Brian Kendrick and Zeke Jackson come to the ring when we return. Kendrick says he comes bringing grave news. He says that on the way here he had a tickle in the back of his throat. He says he saw their doctors and they told him he has a severe infection. As such he has been asked not to compete tonight, which is too bad because he wanted to smack Super Crazy around. This leaves Crazy with a good news bad news situation. The good news is that he saves himself the embarrassment of being beaten by The Brian Kendrick, but the bad news is that Zeke Jackson has agreed to step in for him.

[As Crazy makes his way to the ring, Hurricane Helms appears in his little circle. He says that Zeke has nice tights and asks if they actually come in Zeke’s size. He’s just saying]

Match #3: Zeke Jackson vs. Super Crazy:
Zeke throes Crazy across the ring and slams him. He then drops a big elbow drop and then hits a one arm powerslam before picking up the win.

[After the match, Kendrick grabs Crazy and nails The Kendrick.]

- Commercial Break #4 -

[When we return, we see a promo for WrestleMania 25]

Backstage:
Triple H is backstage with Eve. She shows footage of what happened after his match with Big Show last week, as Kozlov attacked followed by Hardy. She says that at Vyber Sunday the fans will vote for his opponent. He says that that footage shows how desperate people are to make an impact when it comes to the WWE Title. He asks if his opponent will be Hardy who gets another shot at greatness, or will it be the man who has run wild on Smackdown for the last six months, Vladimir Kozlov, or will it be both. Will Hardy even make it to Cyber Sunday knowing that he has to step in the ring tonight with the Moscow Mauler. He says that those are known, but what is known is that if you want to be champion, you go throw him. It doesn’t matter who it is because he is the King of Kings, he is The Game and is called that for one simple reason, because he is that damn good.

Match #4: The Undertaker vs. The Great Khali:
They lock up and Khali throws Taker aside. They lock up again and Khali applies a headlock. He then hits a blow to Khali’s head and throws him to the corner. Taker reverses and unloads on Khali in the corner. Khali reverses back and throws some shots on Taker in the corner. They begin exchanging blows and Taker takes the lead. He then goes off the ropes but is hit with a clothesline. He slams Taker and then hits a legdrop to score a near fall. He then applies a shoulder grip but Taker fights out with some elbows. He goes off the ropes but Khali hits a huge shot to the head and scores a near fall. Khali then locks in the Khali Vice and crushes Taker’s skull. He fights out with rights and lefts and then goes off the ropes, dodges Khali, and then hits a clothesline off the other rope.

Suddenly Big Show interferes and gets Khali disqualified. He then chokeslams Undertaker and leaves the ring. He grabs a steel chair and gets on the apron. Show tells Khali to use the chair on the Undertaker, and then calls him stupid when he doesn’t. Khali knocks the chair from Show’s hand and refuses. He leaves the ring as Show steps in the other side. He walks to the ramp side and leans out yelling at Khali. Behind him, The Undertaker sits up and grabs the chair. He nails Big Show in the back sending him over the top and to the floor. He then poses on one knee and rolls his eyes back as the lights go to blue and his music plays.

- Commercial Break #5 -

[When we return, we find out that next weeks main event will be Undertaker vs. Triple H]

Match #5: Vegas Match – Maria vs. Maryse vs. Natalya vs. Victoria vs. Brie Bella:
(It is announced that the first woman to grab the large fuzzy dice on the pole in the corner will be the winner and will earn a Divas title match) All the women attack each other and Victoria is the first to go for the dice. Natalya hits her and slams her off the rp. Maria elbows Brie and climbs ip but Maryse knocks them down. She goes to climb but Brie grabs her. Maryse throws her from the ring and goes for the dice but is attacked by Natalya and Victoria. Brie takes Natalya down but is nailed by Maryse. Brie grabs Maryse who lands on Brie’s shoulders. Maryse hits some rights to Brie’s head and then slams her into the steel ring post. Maryse gets all the way up but Maria climbs up and they exchange blows. Maryse falls as Maria climbs up, grabs the dice, and wins.

[We then see a promo for the Hardy/Kozlov match]

- Commercial Break #6 -

[When we return, we see another John Cena returning promo]

Match #6: Kenny Dykstra & Ryan Braddock vs. Jesse & Festus:
Festus transforms and throws jesse into Dykstra. He then kicks Braddock in the head and throws him around the ring. He hits a huge right hand and then tags in Jesse. Festus throws Jesse into the corner were he crushes Braddock. He hits a reverse elbow and scores a near fall. Braddock reverses and slams Jesse to the mat and tags in Dykstra. He throws some rights and lefts on Jesse and scores a near fall. He tags Braddock back in who kicks Jesse in the gut. He slams him and then drops a big knee to the sternum and scores a near fall. Dykstra tags himself in and takes Jess down off the top rope. He then applies a grounded headlock on Jesse.

[Hurricane Helms appears in his circle and says that Dykstra loses almost as much as MVP…almost].

Jesse tags in Festus who throws big right hands and clears the ring before hitting a fall away slam on Dykstra. He goes off the ropes, drops on Dykstra, and scores a near fall as Braddock breaks the count. Jesse comes in, nails Braddock and knocks him through the ropes and to the floor. Dykstra throws some rights and lefts but Festus whips him off the ropes, hits the one man flapjack, and picks up the win.

[We see another promo for the Hardy/Kozlov match]

- Commercial Break #7 -

[When we return, we see another, slightly longer promo for Kizarny]

Backstage:
Maria is walking backstage and runs into Michelle McCool. She congratulates Maria in winning the title shot and says it will be an honor to defend the title against her. Jesse and Festus arrive behind her and she greets them. Jesse said they wanted to congratulate her and that Festus has something to give her. He lifts his hand and gives her a small white flower. She thanks him saying she loves flowers. Festus stress awkwardly until Jesse says they have to go as they have tickets to see Wayne Newton.

Tazz and JR recap some of the Cyber Sunday line up. Triple H then comes to ringside to guest commentate the main event.

- Commercial Break #8 -

[We see footage of Kozlov speaking earlier tonight. He says that no one wants to see him face Triple H because they are afraid he will beat him and win the title.]

Match #7: Jeff Hardy vs. Vladimir Kozlov:
Kozlov throws Hardy to the corner and throws rights and lefts. Hardy comes back with a kick to the face. He goes off the ropes but Kozlov hits a shoulder block and takes him down. He picks Hardy up and drops him in the corner. He picks him up again, hits a running power slam, and scores a near fall. He then throws Hardy into the steel ring post and then crushes him there.

- Commercial Break #8 -

When we return, Kozlov has Hardy on the mat in an armlock. Kozlov spins Hardy over and torques the hold. Hardy manages to get to his feet but Kozlov hits some head butts and then a belly to belly side throw and scores a near fall. Hardy throws some rights but Kozlov lifts him above his head. Hardy slides free and goes for a Twist of Fate but is reverses. Hardy goes off the ropes and Kozlov pushes him to the corner. Hardy goes up and nails the Whisper in the Wind and then goes to the top. He jumps down when he realizes that Kozlov is up. Kozlov goes off the ropes, nails the huge head butt, and picks up the win.

[Triple H steps up from the announce table and takes off his jacket. He takes his title and climbs into the ring. The two men stare each other down face to face as Triple H holds up the WWE Title.]

Some News c/o Rajah.com -

1) If anyone would like to know more on why Lance Cade was released, WWE really had no choice accodring to Good Ole' JR. In his blog he states that Cade was releases due to a "lapse in judgement" that resulted in a Seizure while on an airplane. Luckily, Lillian Garcia was also on the flight and was able to help him safley to the hospital. JR didn't elaborate on the "lapse in judgement" that caused this, but said that he didn't see what other choice WWE had.

Now, judging by the fact that Cade ended up having a seizure, I'd bet he either took some drugs he shouldn't have or didn't take some drugs he was supposed to take. regardless, JR also says however that he thinks Cade has a bright future and that he and WWE might be able to work together again at some point in the future.

2) According to his profile on WWE.com, and all references to him, Funaki is now officialy going under the ring name Kung Fu Naki......*sings* Everybody wants Kung Fu Naki!!!!

3) According to Matt Hardy's blog, he says that of his thre potential opponets he would realy love to face Evan Bourne. He says that a match between them would be a thrill a minute and that he hopes the fans want to see the match as much as he wantes to be in it. He hopes the fans vote for Bourne. Finlay and Mark Henry are the other choices.

An Evan Bourne-Matt Hardy match would not only make me want to see a rematch but would make me tune into ECW even more committed than I am now. (ECW's biggest supporter in this thread). Now on to some Raw reviewing.

Raw was excellent. Picture perfect going into Cyber Sunday. *One of the biggest wastes of PPV space every created.*
-Y2J vs Batista was played nicely by making Batista look more dominant than Chris Jericho. We very much know by now Jericho will be retaining so this will make the win at Cyber Sunday that much more satisfying.

-Priceless did a good job at demonstrating why their they are soon to be a go to dominant stable. I am waiting for Orton to pop in and lead them into Survivor Series battle. It'll look like this I hope, Priceless (Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, Manu, Randy Orton) vs Team Punk (CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, and Cryme Tyme). Excellent job at making them look dominant. Although I'm gonna complain about the lack of time given to them right after they beat the crap outta Cryme Tyme.

-Kofi Kingston and CM Punk are meshing well as a team and I do see them sticking together for the end of the year teaming up more than often. The match with Miz and Morrison was really good at providing some quality tag team wrestling although...I really wonder who needed the win more, M&M or Punk-Kingston?

-For once in my life I'm not gonna say anything bad about the Divas match that didn't include Mickie, Melina, or Beth...Candice did a decent job as did Kelly Kelly but the finish was kinda choppy. Didn't really enjoy but it sure lasted more than some other matches I've seen all 4 of the divas in.

-Glamarella ruled all the way. Seriously I have come to love Santino and Beth Phoenix equally. I would marry Beth Phoenix. Back on the topic of the couple though...they're not really acting like a couple anymore which kind of makes me disappointed...=/ I hope they expose Beth Phoenix's lubby dubby side again as it made things interesting. As for them on Raw tonight...AWESOME! Santino's promo was great as always. And finally we saw the mean streak. Santino cracking "Hacksaw" with the guitar and busting himself open gave him that credibility as IC champion I've been looking for. He looked tough and he proved something on his own. That means all Beth did was hand him back the guitar...Really good stuff.

-Rey Mysterio...eh. I can't wait till he gets out of the story with Kane because it makes no sense still. It's stupid and his match against Snitsky, of all people, was wayyy to predictable especially for a "big vs small" match.

If Raw was like this all the time, I'd devote myself to it a lot more than Smackdown and ECW.

Cyber Sunday...I am actually eager too see each match up on the card...minus Maria vs. Michelle McCool. I am praying that Maryse or even Natalya, the best heel divas on Smackdown at the time, interrupt or something. She can't hold that title forever...jesus.

Hardy-HHH, Kozlov-HHH, or Hardy-HHH-Kozlov...it's gonna be a great match no matter what. I understand Hardy still probably won't walk away with the title but I am just waiting for the moment to come. Kozlov is gonna be one hell of a guy when we're back at this month in a years time.

Monster post guys but don't forget to catch Cyber Sunday this week on PPV or on the interwebs. For the most part, it's a watchable show. =]

Friday Night – October 24, 2008

Show Opening:
Triple H comes to the ring to start the night. He asks if it’s just him or if everyone is as sick of Vickie Guerrero as he is. He says he’s pretty sick of her, and it’s not just the graining voice or that stupid chair, or the fact that she’s an annoying hag. Well, actually it’s a lot about being an annoying hag. He says his problem is that she thinks she can tell everyone what to do. He says he really doesn’t care when she tells other people what to do, it’s when she tells him what to do. He asks if he mentioned that she’s an annoying hag. He says that most would say he should shut up before she comes out here and he gets in trouble. He says that won’t happen because he saw a Twinkie truck roll up out back, and so she’ll be grazing for hours. He says that just 48 hrs he has to defend his title ay Cyber Sunday, and tonight he has to face the one and only, the phenom, the Undertaker. He says that he is going to have to destroy the Undertaker tonight because if he doesn’t, Taker might just make sure he doesn’t make it to Cyber Sunday. He says that if that happened, all out votes would be for nothing.

[Jeff Hardy’s Music Hits]

Hardy says he kinda knows their audience a little better then Triple H. He says that if this were a popularity contest, which is sorta is, he has a good chance of being voted in at Cyber Sunday. He says he also thinks he has a really good chance of walking out of Cyber Sunday as the new WWE Champion.

[Vladimir Kozlov’s music hits and he appears on the stage]

Kozlov says that the fans won’t vote him in because they know he will beat Triple H just like he beat Hardy last week, and become champion. Triple H says he has no idea what Kozlov just said, but he guesses it has something to do with him wanting to be champion. He says that it doesn’t matter which of them gets voted in, because this is going to happen. He then attacks Hardy and Pedigree’s him.

[Tazz and JR review the voting for the WWE Title match]

Triple H walks in the back and the lights snap off above his head. Undertaker appears and they stare each other down.

Ranjin then translates that Khali says he’s gotten tons of love letters from women all across the world who wonder what it would be like to kiss Khali in the middle of this ring. He selects two from the large pile in the ring. He then reads one. The letter reads that a fan of John Cena now has a crush on Khali after seeing him kiss that girl last week. The second letter addresses Khali’s physique. It turns out to be a guy named Bruce, which Khali says is wrong. Ranjin has them use the Kiss Cam search for a girl to Kiss Khali. He selects an attractive one and then asks what is better then one volunteer…is.two volunteers’. He then selects a large girl from the other side of the crowd. Khali goes to kiss the first girl when Ranjin stops him. He says that anyone can Kiss the attractive one, but it takes a man, no a big man, no a giant to Kiss the other one. He says that Khali is a bit shy and that he needs encouragement from the crowd. He starts up a Khali chant as Khali finally leans in and kisses the large girl. I was LOLing at the Kiss Cam tonight. I was hopping Mae Young would pop out somewhere to kiss Khali.

I'm still loving Carlito and Primo together. It's nice to see Funaki.. or Kung Fu Naki getting TV time that matters, but I don't like how they seem to be pairing him with R-Turth. I can't stand that... !

Maryse got a pin over Michelle. Yay! I can't stand Michelle or Maria, but I hope Michelle whoops up on Maria soon after tonight.

Legendary.

lol I can't wait for Maryse to win that belt but I gotta stand thru all this crap.

Here are my women's division predictions.

Beth Phoenix will lose it to either a face Katie Lea or Melina upon returning.

Michelle will lose it to Natalya, Victoria, or Maryse (the one I'm hoping for) at the next ppv the Diva's belt is defended at.

The only match that interests me is the US title match since MVP and R truth are my faves from smackdown. I liked Hardy when he was mid card fighting for the IC title but he was the best when he was teaming w/ Matt hardy for the tag titles.

You guys do know the U.S title match is a preview match before the actual ppv right? Only broadcasting on WWE.Com . If thats the case I expect that Shelton Benjamin will retain.
