I LOVED this series, I really got into the storyline and the characters. The characters were worth caring about and pretty decently developed. I liked the love building between Jarrod and Camille. Loved Camille and Jarrod switching sides and seeing the light of goodness. Would be interesting to see them as rangers down the line, like maybe a couple of the core rangers depart and they promote Jarrod and Camille to their ranger positions.

A couple of things I observed

I don't think that Carnisoar LITERALLY erased all of Jarrod's past good deeds. Considering Jarrod turned good at the end of the series, I find it hard to believe ALL the good was ERASED. I think it was a trick to make Jarrod repress the memories. Think of it, if after erasing Jarrod's good deeds he was a truly evil child, Master Mau would have sensed that in the younger Jarrod and he never would have been at Pai Zhua Academy in the first place. If he wasn't there he wouldn't have been banished. If he was never banished he never would have unleashed Dai Shi to possess him. I think Carnisour just made Dai Shi/Jarrod believe he was "erasing" his memories and they just got repressed.

Also, I would like to have found out who RJ's friend was that "managed" to tap into the Morphing Grid and create the Solar Morphers, we never saw that friend nor did they follow up on that line. Must be some friend to be able to tap into the Morphing Grid and create Ranger powers :D

I also wish they would have done less morphing sequence scenes when people witness them morphing. When people witness them morph like Fran for instance, she shouldn't see the "cool morphing sequence". That's there for the audience's benefit. It should have just shown them calling out the morphing call and instantly morphing into ranger mode.

I'm trying to begin Operation Overdrive, but can't seem to connect to the storyline or characters as easily as I did in JF.

Funny thing is that Jarrod was a douche before Dai Shi posessed him. Then he's suddenly referred to as the nice guy Jarrod trapped by Dai Shi.

And Will made OO suck.

Yeah, I know what you mean, this puzzled me. Him being Dai Shi just complicated the equation.

Basically, pretending Jarrod never got posessed, he'd still go through that self awareness scene based on his own personality as Jarrod, and that he was a douche at the time now, but he was a nice guy as Jarrod deep down inside, in his past, I suppose you could say that certain life experiences trapped Jarrod to become Neo-Jarrod the douche.

All Dai Shi really did was take something Jarrod already was, and accelerate or increase it.

Take Dai Shi out, the same thing would have happened.
And Will made OO suck.

I didn't like Operation Overdrive. But I've been trying to get into Turbo more recently, so I might do the same for Operation Overdrive.

I will say this though, on my end, Will may or may not have sucked for some people, but for me he gave Operation Overdrive... character. Without Will, the series would probably be too painfully bland to watch, Will gave something.

When I first watched it was thinking it could have been mr. hartford that helped RJ connect to the morphing grid, but we may never know now.

JF was a great season indeed. I loved everything except for the clip show episode.

As for OO, almost all PR fans hated OO. OO was a decent to some people who were OO fans. I liked OO but its not one of my favorite disney seasons.

I wouldn't call myself a fan. As I watched it, I thought it was decent. Now I kinda think it was "meh".

I liked the clip show, thought it was a clever way to have a clip show. The game show was a bit creepy. The sole thing I did not like about Jungle Fury was the dumb giant stuffed animals the masters "morphed" into in the final episode. That one was a little bit over the top, even for Power Rangers :)

I know right! You would think a game show hosted by the villains would have been biased in their favor.

That was for the Gekiranger fans!

Yeah,Don't Blow that Dough was fun. I mean people say it's a terrible episode but they don't remember Way Back When! That was truly appaling.

I didn't even know Jungle Fury was on,I just happened to see the discussion thread on Rangerboard and thought "Wow,they've already showed the premiere?!" And Overdrive I just watched clips of,Jungle Fury I actually watched full episodes of on YouTube. I just couldn't believe how quick the show had turned around since that completely colourless series.

And Will made OO suck.

Are you serious? He was practically the only cool one. Mack and Rose were JUST acceptable. Dax looked like he was gonna be cool until he forgot to take his medication for the whole series. Tyzonn just wasn't cool enough. I don't know what it was,he just seemed bland. And Ronny,Ronny is the worst of the six. Yeah,Caitlin Murphy's cool but the character she played in Overdrive is the most boring, bland ranger I have ever seen. And as a Boukenger fan, that was horrible to watch. I'm not a sentai snob,I just like a good story. I prefered Ninja Storm to Hurricanger[no I'm not saying I don't like Hurricanger,it's just Ninja Storm's funny] and Go-Onger wasn't exactly side splitting. Will might have that smirk on his face and be a stereotype but at least he's interesting.

Don't get me wrong, I like JF (my third favorite series, right after RPM and In Space), but I actually liked Way Back When more than Don't Blow That Dough. The reason of course is that WBW advanced the plot (like other clipshows before it) and DBTD didn't. Here's a list of clipshows I can remember

Dino Thunder Legacy of Power: Rangers found an invisiportal to rescue Tommy
Dino Thunder A Test of Trust: Rangers regained trust in Trent after finding out Mercer was Mesogog
SPD Insomnia: Rangers pieced together what Gruumm was doing with the items he stole
Mystic Force Koragg's Trial: Leanbow started regaining memories
Operation Overdrive Way Back When: Gave the rangers their next clue to find a jewel of the Corona Aurora
Jungle Fury Don't Blow That Dough: Nadda

Other than DBTD, the only thing I didn't care for in this amazing season was the Strike Rider.

But Way Back When was no fun and Mack saw himself equip the battlizer. In my book, the best clip shows are the ones they attempt to make entertaining.
