Remember the episode in Dino Thunder when they had the super sentai footage in the episode as a show. WHat do you guys think of it? I thought it was a nice humorus episode with a nice tribute to the original series and it pointed out how we see thing diffrently from other cultures. Yet at the same time we can view things the same way.

I saw a version of the episode online where the poster replaced the dubbed versions of the Sentai scenes with subtitled versions... it was interesting.

A lot of people complained about that episode, saying it was making fun of Super Sentai and implying that it was a ripoff of Power Rangers. I think people who say that missed the point of the episode. I see it as sort of an allegory, with the Japanese show representing Power Rangers itself and the Power Rangers watching it representing Sentai fans. The real point of the episode was to show that neither Power Rangers nor Sentai are ripoffs, they're just different interpretations of the same idea, and in the end we're all enjoying the same action.

It was a very wierd episode, they kept calling it power rangers even though the audience can clearly hear the abaranger theme.

They should've made it into a full sentai episode with subtitles with Conner complaining it through a bubble.

[Titanium Ranger]

Horrible episode... no doubt one of the worst PR episodes ever. It made me think badly of sentai, though to be fair, they picked the worst Abaranger episode that they could've, from what I've heard. Honestly, there's no way they could've done it differently to make it seem any more acceptable. On top of that, Conner's reaction at the end was overdone, when the Abarangers formed the blaster and destroyed the monster. It wasn't like he'd never seen anything like it before, he practically did it on a daily basis himself.

The only amazing part about that episode was the 1000 or so channels Hayley had had set up on the TV lol. Despite everything though, I appreciate the concept of the episode, which was IMO to create awareness of Super Sentai and sort of give a nod to it.

I thought it was a, different kind of episode. It's not everyday you find a TV show all about you in Japanese lol. 8/10

'Lost And Found In Tranlation' is one of my favorite episode. They show that Japan has a Super Sentai show in the Power Rangers universe. The writers should have done more with it. Maybe do a storyline on it that lasted one than one Power Rangers season. That is what I think. :D

I personally didn't like it, it was suggesting Japan made a show based off the Power Rangers, it was basically the USA trying to say that Super Sentai was copied from Power Rangers, trying to draw attention away from it being the other way round, maybe suggesting the Toei were now sponging off PR instead.

It just felt so wrong. Not only do they copy footage directly often rather than making their own, but they practically copy even MORE, an entire episode of Sentai pretty much (unmorphed scenes now), and making out that it was Japan copying PR, or that Sentai was just a ficticious show within the PR universe, not only does it create a paradox, but it's a little ironic, and kinda hypocritical.

It didn't feel like a shoutout to Sentai in my eyes, that seems like a coverup, it just seemed like a competitive way of saying "We're better than you".

It treated Sentai as a tangent or tribute act, rather than a forefather, and for that reason I really didn't like this episode.

I watched until Conner turned it off. At which point, my stomach was so thoroughly unsettled by the Dub, that any more and I might've lost my lunch. I might never be able to watch another episode of Disney PR and find anything worth the time in it again.

Leave it to Disney to destroy everything they touch, though.

I'd like to see an episode of PR or Sentai where we see the finisher from the Rangers' POV
