But just pretend, for a second, maybe for a fanfiction concept, just think, what if...

You could bring back the MMPR team for a reunion?




The MMPR team is easily one of the most liked teams in PR, hell even non PR fans adore the team for growing up on them, the Zyuranger suits have become iconic to the 90s, the characters are adored to the point of overhype.

But, how would it work?

7 Ranger powers, and 2 of those powers are taken up by the same person.

10 Rangers in total, 4 of these being just replacements for existing powers.

So there's never been more than 6 Rangers in the MMPR field at one time, disregarding Ninjor who isn't a Ranger, and disregarding "Return Of A Green Ranger" because they were never all there together.

How would you do it?

6 Rangers can be sorted out, then get a replacement to take a new Ranger form for the 7th costume? Or go for the Tom clone? But then, what about the replacements?

I'm just interested in how people would do it.

(for the sake of things, this can be for any season, so give the Rangers whatever Zords you want, Dinozords, Thunderzords, Ninjazords or Shogunzords) Doesn't matter.

Or, for simplicity sake, pretend they are zordless.

Some different and interesting answers would be recommended.

Also, for the record, pretend Thuy Trang is still with us.

Billy is a must because he was awsome and he needs to comeback to see how the character has come along in the last few years.

Kimberly because well she was the original pink. But if Amy doesn't want to come back then we at least know Kat's actor would more then likly at least come back.

Unfortunetly because of OAR, It seems Adam would come back as black instead of Zack. Shame to, because Zack was a good black ranger and I always pictured Adam as more of his Green Ranger status.

Tommy I guess If he got his powers restored then I would say green.

Well strangely enough, I've thought about this.

Zack, Kim, Billy, Aisha, Jason and Tommy (perhaps Sentinel Knight could restore his green ranger powers so we could see the Dragonzord again).

I'm actually toying around with this very premise for my newest fanfiction, which I will post when I can see a story unfolding in front of me to write. I've written parts of my new story, but so far it's slow goings.

I'd pay a necromancer to bring Thuy Trang back from the dead. Barring that, I just wouldn't do the reunion.

I thought about this and figured this would be my lineup.

Rocky
Billy

I debated on the role of Red Ranger. I like both Jason and Rocky for different reasons. Just because someone is a Red Ranger and not the leader doesn't mean they're a bad Ranger, hell Bridge was Red and wasn't leading the Retro Rangers. Jason made a good leader, but Rocky was a good character (realistic and relatable) in his own way. I wanted to balance out roles, and I decided that Rocky should be Red Ranger in my lineup since the unmorphed and morphed leader roles were already taken up. Rocky can take up the comic relief "class clown" of the group. He'll also be the field commander and leader during battle.

Billy, obviously, he's the only one that was ever Blue MMPR and he's kind of important, he's the genius that has saved everyones butts almost every episode both fighting and with mechanics. Billy will also be the second in command unmorphed.

Trini is there for two reasons, to balance out the ethnicity of Zack being there already, and because she's one of my favorite Rangers of the entire franchise. Trini will be the relaxed, focused and spritually reserved member of the group.

Adam, as a character is just dull and way overhyped, Zack will always be the true Black MMPR to me, he was so full of life and energy. Zack will be the backbone of the group, the one that holds it all together. Zack will also be third in command on the field.

I've been watching alot of MMPR3 lately, and I'm starting to prefer Tommy as the White Ranger than the Green Ranger. Not only this, but both Pink Rangers (Kat and Kim) really bugged me, Kimberly was spoilt and was always screaming for help, and Kat just had her head up her own ass. Tommy can exactly what Delphine was, being a White Ranger who took the "Pink Ranger" role of a five person team, and was leader. Somehow arrange it so that he controls the Pink zords. One thing wrong with Tommy was his overhype and focus, so I'll just reduce his role slightely and it should be fine. He'll be the team leader unmorphed, and second in command on the field.

I couldn't see any way past it, I didn't want any of the 2 Pink Rangers, so it was up to the White Ranger to take the spot. Because of that, the leader role was already taken, so I made Rocky the Red Ranger because I didn't want an obvious or serious Red/White clash unmorphed that would reduce Jason too mucnh. Billy had to be Blue, and I chose Trini and Zack because I didn't want Adam and Trini is one of my favorites.

Zords would probably be the Shogunzords and Ninjazords.

Well If we can use any then this is how I would do it.

Honestly though

I prefer Rocky, Adam, Kat and Tommy as their Zeo counter parts. I think because of that Rocky was no longer under Jason's shadow and he was able to make more of a ranger of him self. Adam well I liked him but I prefer him green instead of black. Tommy has shown that he still has a zeo morpher. And Kat never really established her self long enough to be MMPR pink.

Without a Pink Ranger, how will the Crane Ninjazord operate? Remote control?

I'd just give Tommy control, since the White Kakuranger controlled the Crane anyway.

I'd give the Green Ranger to Jason, as he did have the coin and powers for a time. I suppose he could've morphed with the Green Coin if he had wanted. (I don't want to leave out Rocky, and this would be neat.)

I would make use of the Ninja Zords. Dragonzord Ninja Form would show up, which would be able to form Dragonzord Ninja Battle Mode and Ninja Megadragonzord.

Maybe they could do it with Rocky, Adam, Billy, Aisha, and Katherine.

Well if it was going to be a perfect reunion, it would have to be the original six. Tommy would be the Green Ranger with the Japanese shield and no silver paint added to the helmet. However, I've heard that David, Amy, and Jason don't want to come back. Also, Thuy is dead and Karen is out of shape. Since I can't bring myself to put someone in the Yellow Zyuranger suit again other than maybe Karen, I think my reunion would involve using the Kakuranger suits the way they were meant to be used in the first place:

White Ninja Ranger: Kat
Black Ninja Ranger: Rocky
Blue Ninja Ranger: Adam
Yellow Ninja Ranger: Zack
Red Ninja Ranger: Jason

I'd go with the original six. But just for variety I'd put them all in the Dairanger costumes, partly because they haven't been used yet and partly because Trini would have made a great Kirin Ranger.
