The Mac Twist

When I started watching Overdrive I wasn't all that impressed. The only think they had going for the season was Once A Ranger.

However I changed my mind on the season when Mac was an android and it was giving the season more of a story line with mac.
My question is though, What did you guys think of this twist?

I dunno, it kinda felt...corny to me. I know most people like it, but I'm not so sure i did.

Overdrive did get better after we found out that Mac was a robot. That saga gave that turd of a season a much needed polishing. From what I've read on other threads, about half the posters saw it coming, I know I did. I knew when Hartford saw Mac in the robot costume at that party. Although one of the high points of operation overdrive, it won't go down as one of the great moments in pr history.

Maybe I was put off with the fact that after this he almost didn't want to reconnect to Andrew. IDK, I just feel Mac should have been a little more forgiving of his father. it seemed like every episode after that, there was nothing Andrew could do to be even friends with his son (until returning from the dead as a human).

The first episode where Mack found out he was an android was brilliant, and probably among my favorite PR episodes. Nothing afterward lived up to the potential, though.

I went into Operation Overdrive with great excitement, but was horribly disappointed. The android twist is what killed it for me. The only good thing out of this season was Once a Ranger.

When he first found out, it was an awesome character concept. But after that it just kinda was brushes aside until the ending. I liked the idea personally, they could have done so much more with the idea though.

I personally hated everything Overdrive. They're reusing the have machine angle again in RPM because Disney knows they started off with a semi good thing then like usual kill it. At the end where he becomes human after the battle was alright but reminded me of Pinocchio way to much.
Instead of Mack saying he could feel his heart it should have ended with him saying, "Papa, I'm a real boy now" true tribute to disney LOL
