Better move this away from another thread. So I was talking with one of the members and he said the show it's self is inconsistent as it tries to be serious but can't back it up and after a 3 episode build up and go for green just didn't fit into the show. I am thinking that this was a ziggy centric episode it had a right to be.

Note: I am trying to move this away from another thread because it didn't fit into the topic. Also my spelling sucks.

It could go either way, but I think you might be right. Go for green was a Ziggy centric episode and couldn't really have the darker tones of the first three. This will probably happen again if there is another Ziggy episode. As for it being inconsistent with the rest of the series, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The opening was kind of dorkier than I'd like, but still far from as bad as this show can get, and honestly the rest of it was pretty awesome. (Well, I'm still part way through watching it...)

As soon as Tenaya 7 flies on screen, it's about as awesome as TV can get in my book :D

also let's keep a couple other ideas in mind.

episode 1, 2 and probably first 1/2 of three = pilot.

Pilots have a LOT of work to do. They have to introduce ALL the main characters, they have to introduce the majority of the "world", it laws its customs, it peoples, ect.
So by nature, they are more serious, more wide scope, and in general, are very important and not particuarly focused or a smaple of the entire series, and are sually usally the best of a series for these reasons. More time and effort geos intoa pilot then any other episode.

Although Disney is pretty good about making a MEGA epic arc around the middle of the series that they put as much effort into as the pilot. Darkwish comes to mind.

now comparing the pretty much 3 part pilot(the pilot really ends at some point before the whole " I hate grinders" and he starts in on 100 of them) to an episode all about Ziggy, deosn't really fly. the talent show was CRAP, we all know this....but its ZIGGY's IDEA, which means its supposed to be crap. given these points, i hav eno porblem with it. the show probably will settle more into a PR type atmosphere and less of a Star trek/ Star Gate one, like it had to begin with. But **** it I thought I wa watching a strange crossbreed between first contact and nemesis.....and I liked it...might do a FF replacing the more childish Vectrix with the Borg....

It seems like this season is going to have a hard time to find what it wants to do. The 1st 2 eps were the pilot. Which is supposed to introduce the main players and the pace the season will go. The pilot started off nice with showing the human resistance against the robot army. Seeing this you get the feeling that this is the end game. This is the only city left with human life and the fight for survival is real and its hard. That's why Ziggy becoming a ranger just makes me roll my eyes and shake my head. If the fate of the world relies on the rangers and one of them is this cowardly goofball who can't seem to take it seriously then this guy needs to go. I understand the reasons for keeping him but that still doesn't outweigh the seriousness of the situation which he doesn't grasp. Dillion is a andriod/cyborg i don't know who doesn't remember his past but the guy can fight and he wants to help. Even if the others don't trust him and threaten him with jail time he still makes sense to be a ranger. Which brings me to another point. Is anyone else getting flashbacks to Nick when it comes to Dillion? He's like the wolverine of the season. He takes all the focus and others are left behind. We still know nothing of Red, Blue, or Yellow except for what we saw at the beginning of ep1. But its just the beginning maybe things will straighten out soon.

If Ziggy can't be a ranger then neither can Zack,Rocky,Damon,Joel,Trip,Max,Dustin,
Ethan,Bridge,Chip,Dax or Dominic.

I agree that this episode wasn't really similar to the rest. That said, we'd better get used to it, since half the season'll be like that.

None of those guys were cowards and even though they were jokers they still could take situations seriously. And some of them even had training to deal with situations before becoming rangers. Ziggy is more like a entourage member. He can hang out with the rangers and live they lifestyle and enjoy the perks of being a ranger but he doesnt have what it takes to deserve any of that stuff.

Legendary.

I don't get what's so inconsistent about it. No one said RPM in it's entirety would be serious all the time, where's the fun in that? Not only that but Ziggy has a different personality than the rest of the rangers. How do you focus on a person that you've established as the comic relief? You focus on his personality. Why would you change him after he has been established as the comic relief? Wouldn't that be inconsistency? Who wants to fix the inconsistent with more inconsistency?

Who ever said that RPM is inconsistent should really now dig that deep into it. RPM's first half was made to appeal to an older audience and spice things up a bit but they never mentioned the entire first half to be serious all the time.

Oh come on,they almost had Tenaya as a ranger! Oh,and by the way,Ziggy and Dillon are much better rangers than the other 3 sunreds.
