Why do they need something new every season? One of my favorite things about powerrangers growing up was the fact that it was (for the most part) the same 5 or 6 people. I enjoyed the show (as a kid) until the end of turbo when I know longer knew the rangers. I was mad, but kept watching. I flat out loved in space. Best season IMO. Then it ended and a new storyline began. I still wanted more from the IS characters! Since IS ended, new rangers/villans/costumes have come with each new season. My question is why dont they keep people for more than one season and allow the fan base to really like a group and follow them for a few years. Getting a new ranger every once in a while is cool, but a new season bringing new everything isn't. MMPR was cool because the characters for the most part stayed the same, and there were subtle changes throughout the series. I just don't get it unless its because the Jappanese show is changing yearly so we have to also.

They wnt to follow super sentai which usually changes after every season. Remember it was supposed to end after IS. Then they made the decission it would be better to follow the annual suit change with diffrent characters.

The Sentai changes dramatically every year now. It's not as simple to do as the Saban era once did.
SPD becoming Mystic Force is the usual example here.
Saban was just in the right era to pull this style off. Disney doesn't have that luxury.
SPD-MF-OO-JF-RPM. If you can find a way to make sense of these powers becoming upgrades of the previous like Saban did, then you sir need to get on Disney's writing staff ASAP.

They now would have suttle references. Like Mesagog mentioning his attacking would make peopel think that Lothor would be back and know one would know about him.
Or in overdrive when Mr. Hartford said he purchased a dragon scale from the rockporium to help the defender vest.

One of the main reasons was so that they didn't have to pay the actors as much as they would had if they stayed, especially since from LG to WF they used SAG actors. Disney followed suit even though they are using non-SAG actors.

Exactly. Personally, I like the relatively new format of bringing in all new characters every season mainly because it eliminates things like Jason having to wear the Dragon Shield or Rocky having to wear the Red Ninja Ranger costume if they had both appeared in Forever Red.

I like the new format, it's cool to be introduced to new characters at once.

It's something you'll dislike at first, but eventually it end up paying off.
A change is good. Nothing good will last forever, and if it does you risk butchering or overdoing what was once enjoyable, it's best to end things when they are on a high, since that's how they'll always be remembered.

Also, I believe that Disney has this thing about having shows less than 65 episodes(don't know if thats the exact number) They don't want kids getting too attached to their characters. Saban did that and we like more of their rangers because we got to see more of them.
