David Yost Question

Well It seems a lot of actors from PR actually liked working on the show. However I heard some rumors that David Yost who played Billy actually hated being on power rangers. Is this true?

From what I've heard he didn't hate it, but it's more like he would hate to return. It only makes sense that he wants to move on and away from Power Rangers. I think early on he enjoyed it just as much as everybody else. I heard an interview with Paul Schrier in which he says how David and JDF were constantly joking and pranking people on set, so I doubt he hated the experience. However, I can see why he'd hate the crew and wouldn't come back after how they completely shafted him in Zeo.

i think so. i heard he threw a guy out of his restaurant for just mentioning power rangers

David Yost currently lives in NYC and from what i have heard he has become a serious broadway actor. (these are just rumors)

wasn't he training in the same gym as Steve Cardenas? I saw some recent pics of Yost, and he looked like he was serious about weight training, he seemed more muscular than in the show

well when i seen the clip of him on the news about thuy's death he looked OLD!!

yeah, he always looked older compared to the others, correct me if I'm wrong, but he was one of the oldest of all the 6 original rangers, if not the oldest, I think

but for an ''old guy'', he looked in great shape in the pics I saw

He didn't hate being on the show during MMPR. He hated PR after he left near the end of Power Rangers Zeo. During the run of Zeo, he was not satisfied with the amount of money he was getting due to his low role as a non-ranger ally. He was demanding for more money then so near the end he was let go...that was when he started to hate the show and doesn't want to remember the show Power Rangers and will never return at all...he'll just refuse to do it if asked to return.

If a PR fan suddenly saw him in public and went up to him and mention Power Rangers to him, he'll just walk away.

I know Jason Frank, Steve, and I forgot the actress who played Aiesha but in one convention they said they would be interested in returning if they could do it together.

Weel My Dads A close friendo of david yost they studied together . . . and the guy doesnt really hate power rangers he says it was good when he was recording in it and aws a good experience but he feels like the zeo producers took advantage of him only because he wasnt a ranger anymore, To sum he says that roel seriously damaged his career cause producers didnt wanted to hire him due to hs anterior role and the stereotype him. Know he has gotten some thigns o nhis own so he feels that if he returns that would stereotyupe him again ... .that the reason.

Oh I know he didn't go to morphicon. Their was another con that Steve, karen and Jason attended and had a power ranger panel. I saw it on youtube.

I've just been thinking...what is the basis for this knowledge that David Yost got shafted near the end of Zeo and now doesn't want anything to do with the show? Did he say anything about this in any interviews? Did any of his former coworkers say anything about it? While this information may be correct, I'd like to know that it's based on statements from people that actually worked on the show, not just rumors and heresay from fans. Hell, even just firsthand accounts from fans that actually got the cold shoulder from David Yost (preferably with YouTube videos to prove it) would be better than all the ambigous information that I've read on this forum since joining.
