Okay I'm confused here. At the end of "Good As Gold" in Zeo, Rita and Zedd destroyed the Machine Empire and Zedd declared "We're bacK". I assumed that they would reclaim their moon base and resume their attempts to conquer Earth. When Turbo comes on, there is no sign of Rita or Zedd and instead, we have Divatox in their place who seems to automatically know who the Power Rangers are and they know who she is. Also, how did Justin become a ranger? Why is Zedd and Rita not in their moon base? And why isn't Rocky a ranger anymore?

Watch Turbo: A Power Rangers movie. They turned an episode into a full feature film, basically. All questions that you now have were answered in said movie.

The original plan was to have Rita and Zedd return and also have Turbo be campy instead of having a serious tone like it did in the first half. Unfortunately the powers that be decided to bring in a new villain instead and make the first half more serious. These decisions caused the first half to be the way it was and the primary cause for why the second half became campy. That's like the "Rangers In Concert" episode that was supposed to occur and reveal the Millinneum Message to the Turbo Rangers but it never happened.

Only Rita and Zedd are allowed to conquer the earth, forget the Machine Empire, Divatox and those what followed. XD

Steve Cardenas was trying to juggle both running his dojo as well as doing Power Rangers. Rather than leaving Zeo mid-season, he decided to hand in his notice at the end of Zeo. He was present for the filming of the Turbo movie when he was written out at his request. He wasn't in Turbo because he decided to fufill his time by focusing on his dojo full-time.
That's what I've always heard, unless someone else has something.

Steve Cardenas was injured during the filming just like his character.

I know that Billy was supposed to help make the turbo powers but because the actor left they had to drop that part of the storyline.

No, Jiemusu is right. Steve actually had a martial arts school that he decided to focus more on. He voluntarily left the show, but notified the crew first so they could write him out properly, just like Amy Jo Johnson and Karan Ashley.

well that depends. techincally this is the connection between Zeo and Turbo. plus it gave inspiration to Forever Red. i consider it canon unless u show something else

Why would they hire Blake Foster for the movie anyway JUST in case Steve injured himself during filming and THEN take the footage of Steve injuring himself and tell him to read stand-by lines in a script while they were filming him in injury lmao?
Nah Steve wanted to focus on his dojo full time, and PR held him back from doing that. Steve handed his notice in during Zeo, and decided to keep filming until the end of the season (hence why the actor wasn't present in Good as Gold). He was present for the filming of the Turbo Movie, but wasn't a Ranger in the first half of Turbo because he had already planned on handing his notice in and working on his dojo full time in Zeo.

I guess even though it was created by a write from wild force I just can't count it as official as it didn't have any official release I guess you can say. What i mean is if they acknowledge it more.

I'm pretty sure Rocky was in the first three episodes of Turbo (post-movie)

"Scorpion Rain" can't officially be considered canon because its a fan film. However that doesn't stop events similar to "Scorpion Rain" from happening in the PRU. I assume that the events of "Scorpion Rain" happened in the PRU.
I never heard that explanation for Rocky's departure. But it sounds pretty plausible to me. I think they really did want to bring in a kid Ranger though. Maybe Rocky's departure gave them the opertunity.
Yeah the Turbo movie introduced Divatox. A lot of the aspects of the end of Zeo weren't followed up on , because Zeo preformed badly in the ratings and toy sales. Tzachor didn't want to spend too much time tieing up the loose ends. Which is why we got no resolution on the Bulk and Skull spying in France stuff. As well as any meniton of Trey. The story about Zedd's actor being unaviablable is true I think. I think it was his VA.

Is the human form of Zedd we see at the end of C2D the same person who played Zedd in MMPR and Zeo?

You need to check this again, he was only in the first episode. That was just to signify his departure and give him a good send off. If he quit because of an injury like you claim, this injury was healed when he departed in the first Turbo episode, and he still got replaced.
This is because he already handed his notice in during Zeo and had planned to end his Ranger days so he could focus on his dojo full time.
Him and Kim differ from Aisha, Trini, Jason and Zack in that they recieved a decent send off while the others were just wiped (although Jason later returned and recieved a decent send off in Zeo/Turbo movie).

Not to be picky, but did you mean Trini instead? Aisha received a good send-off when they replaced her with Tanya. Unless I missed something there...

Yeah sorry, that was an error on my part. I've changed the post now.
I meant Aisha and Trini, I forgot to put Trini's name in there because I wanted to emphasis Aisha getting a poor send off, but the inclusion of two Yellow MMPRs threw me off.
But yeah, Karen Ashley got a poor send off, they didn't even show her passing the torch in adult form. They had the child Aisha give the crystal to child Tanya, and then Tanya was turned back to adult form. Honestly can't remember if Karen was fired or wanted to leave, but the lack of her in her adult form for her final PR moments were very displeasing.

I think Karan wanted to leave because the work schedule was a bit much for her. I don't recall where it was said, it might've been during one of those interview/conference things but I don't really know.

I remember Karan stating at a convention panel that she wanted to leave and focus on different things. Basically just moving on. I just watched MMPR-Zeo this past month and I can't believe I didn't really notice Aisha's presence in teenage form. I always imagined she had a good send-off, but then again, maybe not. She may have just benefited from the fact that her character was already being played by a kid that the writers could so conveniently write her out, unlike in The Power Transfer with the horrible spliced-footage and voice over job.

In theory they could have done a similar thing with any or all of the Rangers at the time who went after Zeo shards.

At least they got a better send off than most of the villains. They just dissapeared and nobody even questioned their absense. Scorpina, Rito, Squatt and Baboo all vanished with no explanation whatsoever.

I read somewhere that she (Karan Ashley) wasn't happy about the way her character was written out of the show.

According to what I heard, Karan Ashley gave her notice before the "Rangers In Reverse" episode. The crew decided that she would be given a proper send off similar to Amy Jo Johnson and in ther adult actors' time off, the crew decided to bring in Nakia Burrise to take over as the Yellow Ranger and wrote Karan out with her knowledge of how it would be done. When she arrived back to set, she was informed of what she had to do and instead of fighting it, embraced it as best she could--reason being she was only seen for a brief period before the Rangers teleported out to bid the Alien Rangers farewell. Karan stated that she was pissed off about the way it was handled and didn't even get the chance to say goodbye to the other cast members. Though they never met during their Power Ranger days, I do know from Nakia's interview with Lisa J that she and Karan have indeed met.

I think that there are untold stories between Good As Gold and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. We just haven't seen them yet.
