View Full Version : [PR] What ranger team did you start off with watching and will you remember them?

Of course, we all know Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has a strong following, partially because of being the first PR series, but years down the line, what's to say other PR series won't gain a similiar following? Basically, what about the fans who started watching from later series?

I know I've posted a similiar question to this on the board last year or the year before, but perhaps I didn't expand on the point clearly enough. If you began with a series that is Zeo onward, do you think you look back on it fondly and with heavy nostalgia for it? If you began with a recent series like Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, or even if we're going the extra mile, if you discovered PR through RPM, do you believe you'll look back on it years down the line similiar to how people who began with MMPR have fond nostalgic memories of it?

I always watched Power Rangers since MMPR. Then around Lost Galexy I started losing interest because of the pokemon craze and I always kept on missing the episodes.
Time Force brought me back into it and I can see why. It was a good drama and had real enticing characters.

I started watching from Lost Galaxy. It still retains a certain nostalgic flair for me. Then I started to watch other seasons

Though I didn't know what it was called at the time, I started with Turbo. Later, I found MM and loved the series since.

I started with MMPR Season 1. I suppose you could look back on some seasons of PR with the same level of nostalgia, but seasons like Turbo, Wild Force, Mystic Force, and Operation Overdrive probably wouldn't have the same effect.

watched a few MMPR season 1 eps but really got into the series after watching the season 3 eps (Tommy, Billy, Rocky, Adam, Aisha and Kat). I still got a soft spot for the season 3 team.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and of course I will. I'll never forget watching them as a kid, and even today I still watch them.

I was 7 and i the second grade when MMPR came into our lives. If I haven't forgotten them by now, only Alzheimer's can stop me. Maybe not even then. As big as PR has been to me, I'd probably remember the words to the theme song if nothing else.

I started watching the series with MMPR, but, espite the incredible quality of the seasons that preceded it and one of the seasons that followed it, Power Rangers Ninja Storm remains my favorite season for many reasons, the chief one being that it is the first of the Disney seasons to really bring back the nostalgic feel of the original season(s), and the first of the Disney seasons to really correlate and correspond to the original season(s) in terms of characterization and tone. For that reason alone, I'll look back on NS as one of the stand-out seasons of the series. Ironically, however, my favorite memory of the NS team and NS season doesn't actually come FROM the NS season, but from PRDT. I don't think I will ever forget the image of the core NS Rangers beating the holy crap out of their DT counterparts, both morphed and unmorphed. It is, IMO, one of the best fights (Ranger vs. Ranger or otherwise) that the series has produced to date.

I started out with the original MMPR team and went onward to Power Rangers Zeo. I couldn't really handle Zeo and forgot about Power Rangers after that. I didn't realize that the show had gone on for so long and that it had changed hands.

I also didn't realize how different Austin St. John looks now and how Jason David Frank looks almost exactly the same (sans the pony tail). it's too bad these two guys, allegedly, didn't get along on the MMPR set. I can sorta see where that comes from since Tommy kinda took over the show when his character arrived (I know someone will correct me here, but it's been a minute since I watched the show)

I'll always remember the first team because they had the most chemistry. Sure Power Rangers could change cast members and all that, but if they don't bother to develop a chemistry, then all the morphing in the world couldn't make me watch.

Unfortunately, I can attest to the fact that Jason and Austin didn't get along. There seems to quite a bit of bitterness between the two. I personally don't judge people I haven't met yet, though. I loved my 25th Birthday as that was the weekend I met Jason, Steve Cardenas, and Karan. They are awesome people. :D

I started watching when it first came out 15-16 years ago. And I will always remember the original Power Rangers as well as the original villains.

MMPR Season One. I was there, man.

My kids will remember Jungle Fury first. But they, too, love the MMPR. They saw the movie, and then called me a liar when I talked about the Green Ranger. We had a marathon to prove it.

I started to watch it from the first season of MMPR. I saw PR up until In Space, the lost interest.

Then I got back into it when Ninja Storm came out. I saw it up until SPD. And now I'm watching RPM.

Saban Rangers series that I thought sucked:
Wild Force(Exception is Forever Red episode)

Disney Ranger series that I thought sucked:
Mystic Force
Operation Overdrive(Exception is Once a Ranger episode)
Jungle Fury(WORST SEASON EVER)
