Random/weird or dumb (maybe) idea...
Make the Shinkenger team like the Deadly Vipers from the Kill Bill series
For example:
Shinken Red: The Bride/"Black Mamba"-like character (Male or Female-don't matter). He/She wants revenge for what the others did to them and their family.
Shinken Blue: Bud/"Sidewinder"-like character (Male). Funny guy, close friends with the actual 'big baddie' and Shinken Red's character. Alcoholic/Energetic persona....laid-back but dangerous when least expected
Shinken Green: Elle/"Cali Mtn Snake" (Female or Male-cast). Attractive, compared to Red. Uses thievery and vanity to get what they want. Master of poisons, gas, etc. Skilled swordsman/woman. Like Shinken Red learned from a Pai Zhua master and Wind academy senseis....xp ;] *u can roll ur eyes*
Shinken Yellow: Vernita/"Copperhead" (Female). At first, caring and balanced.
But later, outrageous and unrelenting. Very outspoken and skilled knive-thrower. Guns are a plus. Uses her own 'fighting words' to insult others. Not as dangerous as Shinken Pink, in a way...
Shinken Pink: O-ren Ishii/"Cottonmouth" (Female). The most beautiful but also the worst ex-teammate threat. Very soft-spoken. Many outside allies and info involved. Doesn't matter what you did, she'll keep going after you.
Excellent geisha dancer and singer. Famous actress in Japan and rest of Asia.
Villains:
Chimatsuri Doukoku : Bill/"The Big Bad"...Human appearance instead. May transform into a powerful creature later on. Used to have a thing for Shinken Red and a friendship with the former friends/team. But soon vanished....Has a secret no one knows yet. Knows the 5-point technique famous for KOs.
Usukawa Dayuu: Sofie Fatale and Go-go combo/Female sidekick...Human appearance as well, but underneath...half-cyborg/mutant sea creature. Contacts Shinken Pink when necessary. Beautiful but slow. Doesn't get her hands dirty too often. Master in arms and long-range/melee combat and kung-fu. Like Nai Mea-has 2 human appearances overall, as fraternal twins. Surprises everyone later with a comeback. Feisty, but may be defeated easier than thought.
Shitari: Johnny Mo...lead fighter of henchmen. Group strategist. Wears a mask, and his real name is unknown. Also a master swordsman.
Henchmen: Crazy 88's...but there are obviously more than 88 members.
Story: just like Kill Bill story
but No copyright infringement intended (remember this is a fan-fic'd idea haha)
Shinkengers(DVAS) became a team assembled and assigned by Bill who later abandons them for his own life. But later has a fling with/some relation to Shinken Red (Black Mamba) in some way. When a life-changing moment occurs after some time that the team has completed their samurai/marksmanship-training...the team surprises Shinken Red and betrays him/her by attacking them & their family and friends at a event.
Soon afterward, left for dead, the 4 others go rogue and Shinken Red awakens in a coma ready to fight back...but he/she doesn't know there's an even bigger threat to them soon to come...dun dun dun...etc etc

Setting just like PR nowadays, in NZ.
Or, in US, Japan, NZ, and Canada, and Hong Kong...to be more authentic.
This just randomly came to my head a few mins ago. because of possible ideas people threw out on this board for themes they'd like to see that I read and because of how we all differently envisioned Power Rangers 2010/poss. Shinkenger adapt. to be if it did go through another year in live-action....
Or, you know, instead of the Kill Bill-esque + Samurai theme.

But lemme add some flavor. hehe Make each different-
Red: Name-????!
rogue, next in family's bloodline for Samurai lineage, actually is Japanese-ethnic., and plays the others as if he were good, but is actually evil later. But he becomes good again down the line also. Somewhat attractive, 24 yr old. Very hygenial and proper, but sometimes a surprise goofball.
Blue: Name-Klein
a nerdy guy like Billy/Ethan combined, but more attractive than red and is cast American-raised (whatever ethnicity: Black, White, Armenian, Punjabi Hispanic. Don't matter). Is a college graduate from a good university(whatever one sounds smart-haha) and took this Study Abroad program because he always wanted to visit Japan. Loves Sushi. Childhood prodigy in Piano and took Calligraphy lessons with his classmates first semester. 23 yrs old.
Green: Name-DJ
Common best-bud stereotype. Works for Google though, very successful kid. Green is the color of money and Buko Pandan(his fave Pinoy dessert besides Halo-Halo) for him. Surprisingly though, shares his wealth with others. Kind, fun, good-hearted kid. OK looking, quirky sense of humor. Listens to the groups: Nesian Mystik, Black Eyed Peas, River Maya, Paramore, and Linkin Park. Athletic, plays Soccer and Volleyball. Filipino/some other Asian besides Japanese-ethnic. cast. Has friends who asked him to travel to Asia because they want him to work for Sony Corp. with them, but he ends up running into the other ""recruited" samurai rangers" instead on the way to the Sony building in Japan. Aged 22-23 yrs old.
Yellow: Name-Carly
Cute and down-to-earth personality. Very laid-back and mellow, like JF's RJ. But also a talented singer. Loves to teach dance, like JF's Lily and MMPR's Kat, but especially Hip-Hop. Aspires to be like her parents and older sister, and become a successful psychologist or major in Education. Lands in Japan because she's visiting her grandparents who supposedly needed to see her via a letter, but ends up caught in the crossfire with the others. Agrees last to official ranger recruit group meet, due to moral issues and self-doubts. The least experienced and the youngest samurai. Can be cast as Caucasian-blonde/singer/dancer stereotype like Kira or Lily only. But prefer African-American or Hispanic actress this time around. Aged 18-19 yrs old.
Pink: Name-Paige
Snobbish at first glance, but actually very kind after you know her. Dresses different every day depending on her mood. Wears glasses. Clean freak. Believes in creative expression and freedom for all. Open-minded and outspoken when need be. She needs to have fun and icecream in her life. Usually listening to her Ipod and shopping for goods, clothes, etc. Surprises the group with her decision as to why she joined the samurai ranks with them. Runs into one of the villains then later Samurai Red and Yellow, on accident, while taking her vacation in Japan for this Summer. Becomes close with one of the group near the end. Ethnic-cast: British/Native Aussie or Kiwi.
Can be Caucasian, Hispanic, or Asian. Aged 21 yrs old.
Main Villains:
Doukoku-"Crawdead"
(a crawfish hybrid-that's what he looks like to me!)
Not human at all, but a heavy drinker...Drinks Sake bottle after bottle and
leads the "Flowlost" movement and army. Same as Sentai counterpart, uses a large sword/kitana to attack
Dayuu-"Gypsea" aka "Lacey"(her human form name)
(a squid and crane hybrid-that's what she looks like to me)
Throughout the season adaptation, she will eventually use her human appearance of "Lacey" more often, appearing different each time she does do it...she can shapeshift from a 10 yr old girl to 21 yr old woman, but attacks the rangers in her Sentai monster form. She's Crawdead's right-hand woman and acts as the ship's siren playing the music to calm the crew, raise KO'd monsters, or put the rangers to sleep or doom. Attractive yet elusive. Sneaky as well. In her backstory, she will be described as a shinobi later on in the show.
Uses war fans like Samurai Pink and her instrument(?!) to attack
Shitari- "Octophern" aka "Dr. O"(in his human form, but obviously not like Tommy) Is basically like an octopus. He acts as Crawdead's left-hand man, the battle strategist and vengeful samurai lord. In human form, acts as the "Chai Time" restaurant and bar bartender near the ranger's hideout, informing Crawdead later of their whereabouts. Is somewhat attractive as human, but totally creepy & gross as Octophern, sentai creature form. Attacks rarely, but when he does go out of the ship, he uses his bo as a spear and attack rod like Samurai Green's wood spear. Also, uses drinking gourds as fighting mace.
I dunno guys, I know, this is kinda cheesy/goofy, but what do you think?!...
add ur own updated suggestions or comment on mine, for fun or boredom to kill time. I just felt like it, even if it's not likely at all. Ok that's it.
I hope this gets u thinking, what if? for PR2010+ (yrs to come) after RPM's "Big FINALE season"
