Well, in Time Force, the we seem to know who is the leader and second-in-command. Most fans consider Jen to be the leader and Wes to be second-in-command, although some people claim the reverse.
So, what about third-in-command? While I understand that Power Rangers does not have any official ranking system, I am curious to know who would be the most likely third-in-command of the Time Force Rangers (i.e. if neither Jen nor Wes were present). I have heard some consider Lucas to be third-in-command, although I don't know if it is simply because he is the Blue Ranger (a color often used for second-in-command).
As I said in the past, if I would redo Time Force, I would make Jen Red, Wes Blue, Lucas Yellow, Trip Green, Katie Pink, and Eric the Quantum Ranger.

I'd say Eric was third in command. He already led the Silver Guardians, so leading the other rangers would be no big leap.

Eric can't be third in command. He wasn't even part of the team until the team up with Wild Force the next season.
I don't think there really is a rank system in Power Rangers. There are obviously leaders. And to some degree second in commands. But there is no clearly defined ranked structure.

Of course there were ranks in PR. Look at SPD. The whole thing was a ranking system. A-Squad? B-Squad?: Ranking system.

Probably Lucas.

There is no such thing as third-in-command without a minimum of seven. Otherwise the groups would be too small to really command.

I'd say Lucas was the most likely to take charge if Jen and Wes were out of the picture but it would depend on the circumstance.

I agree I think Lucas also.

Lucas was more likely to be third in command since Eric wasn't always with the team. Plus Lucas did give orders a few times if I remeber correctly.

Pretty sure it's Katie. Out of her, Lucas and Trip, she was the most prominant and dominant.
Looks like it's just me who thinks that though.

I think it was Jen then Wes and the rest of the rangers at the start of the season.
Midway through it was Wes then Jen and the rest of the rangers.
When Eric became a ranger and helped out more it was Wes, then Jen then Eric and the rest of the rangers.

I would that like the leader and second-in-command issue, the third-in-command could be up in the air as well.

I would agree that Eric was not third-in-command of Time Force. He was IMO more of a loner than a leader.
Similarly, I know how some people claim that Zhane was second-in-command of the Space Rangers, pointing out C2D as their claim. Just because Zhane stood in the middle does not make him second-in-command. T.J. still gave orders more often than Zhane (notably in A Rangers Leap of Faith and Five of a Kind). In most episodes, Zhane was pretty much a loner. If I would choose a third-in-command for PRiS, I would probably choose Carlos, as he was second-in-command of the Turbo Rangers.
