Ark Cairoshell, or better known as Ark of the Flame Fist. He was just a senior in Diamond High School, until one day when he went to Detention. He discovers that this detention is more than meets the eye and this is when his adventure begins...

ARK CAIROSHELL: A HERO EMERGES
Prologue

The day started as normal day for young Ark Cairoshell. He grew up normal, intelligent, and even trustworthy. Until one day, Ark received a special gift from a mysterious white maiden that spoke to him in a dream. When Ark’s father, Ronyn, had to go on a business trip for 3 weeks to Egypt, that’s when Ark’s world turned upside down. Ark actually turned 18 on that fateful day. He got a car for his birthday! Ark’s excitement overwhelmed him as his grandfather brought Ark out of the house and into the driveway. Ark ran from his grandfather and to the rest of the family around the car. Ark hugged every one of his family members as he got in the car. It was a Hummer! Ark had wanted a Hummer all his life and now he had gotten his wish. His dad asked him to go on the business trip to Egypt, Ark had paid no attention and just yelled, yes. He should of said no and left it at that. After 10 days of being in Egypt, Ark found himself with nothing to do. He decided to visit the Sphinx and Pharaoh’s Pyramid where he met the young pharaoh, Itzcali. He did not know how it happened but he was accused of wrecking the Sphinx and Pharaoh’s Pyramid. The “cops” were there but they were really raptor soldiers who chased after Ark throughout the Sahadda Desert. One of the raptor soldiers shot a bullet of acid at Ark’s leg and Ark was shot down. Before, Ark fainted from the poison and burning sun, he said:

“Man, this stinks…I should’ve stayed home and…drove my new hummer…”

The Raptor Soldiers then took Ark away to see their master, Itzcali.

Heroes Log 1: School Days
Chapter 1- Senior Year of High School

Senior Year had just started for Ark and he was already excited. He hardly got any sleep. At 3:30AM he went to sleep and at 5:30AM his alarm on his phone woke him up with a scare. He stretched once as his head fell back into his pillow.

“Weird. My body must be exhausted from staying up all night. Oh, well, I just have to get through this year and then I’m out of that wretched school. At least my birthday’s tomorrow,” Ark said as he looked at his clock. It said “7:30”. Ark pushed his clock away from him and yelled, “MOM!!!” Ark’s voice startled everyone in the house but only woke up Aetos, his older brother and Zosima, his younger sister. They both ran into his room and slapped him at the same time.

“What in the heck are screaming about, Ark?” Aethos asked angrily.

“Did you look at the time, douche bags?” Ark asked as he pointed to the clock and Zosima ran to Ai, their moms, door. Aetos then also came running. Ark followed Aetos and he was the last there. They started bashing on their parents door as their father, Ronyn, an old samurai who had no master, opened the door.

“What is wrong with your minds? Are you begging for trouble?” Ronyn asked.

“No! Do you see the time?” Zosima asked him.

“What do you mean?”

“Just go look at the clock,” Aetos ordered him.
Ronyn walked over to their plasma-screen HDTV and turned it on. The news was on and it said, “School will be postponed due to our laziness. School will be re-opened tomorrow with the normal schedule.”
Ronyn turned the television off at that point.

“See?” He asked them.
“Yeah, Whatever, I’m going to bed,” Aetos said walking to his room.

“Don’t wake me up like that again, Ark, or you’ll be paying for it,” Zosima said as she punched him to the ground.

“Sorry! I didn’t know!” Ark yelled as he quickly ran to his room.

“That’s what I thought. Pansy…” Zosima then walked to her room and slammed the door, signifying that she was angry. Ark then jumped into bed and pulled the covers over himself. Ark then heard his father quietly close his door. Ark then woke up, 10 minutes later in his first period, dressed and ready to go. Ark was bored, but ready to go.

“So, Ms. Larch is giving another boring lesson?” Ark whispered to his friend, Xavier National, sitting next to him. Apparently, Ark was somehow in the third day school but his birthday didn’t come.

“Excuse me, Mr. Cairoshell?” Ms. Larch asked Ark in her coarse British accent. “Do you have something to say?”

“No, of course not, Ms. Larch. I respect you and everything you do for this school.”

“Thank you, Mr. Cairoshell. Save your excuses and just pay attention got it?”

“Yes, Ms. Larch…What a tedious teacher…”

“She sure got you good, huh, Ark?” Xavier asked Ark laughing.

“Shut up, Xavier. You’ll get us both in trouble.”

“More talking, Mr. Cairoshell and from Mr. National, too?”

“No, no! We were just-”

“I said enough excuses! Detention for both of you, now!” She ordered as they were sent to detention.

“An-all time, high!” Xavier yelled. “It’s a new record!”

“Shut up, Xavier.”

They walked down the hall to detention and Xavier was still laughing. Ark slapped him hard in the face and proceeded to their fateful experience.

Heroes Log 1: School Days
Chapter 2- Detention

Ark and his friend, Xavier finally got to the detention room where they walked in and closed the door. It slammed shut by accident, but they guessed the teacher in the room, knew that already. Xavier and Ark sat down in the front and the teacher, Ms. Larch’s brother, Mr. Dance looked at them. His last name was “Larch” but he certifiably changed it to “Dance”. Ark thought that was weird but you’re entitled to anything you want.

I wonder if this guy is as tedious as Ms. Larch? Ark thought as he raised his hand.

“Hello. What’s your name?” Mr. Dance asked.

“I’m Ark Cairoshell and this is my stupid friend, Xavier National. We just came in.”

“Well, come up here and sign in Ark and Xavier.”

They quickly walked up to Mr. Dance’s desk and signed in. When they sat down, Mr. Dance came to give them work.

“Thank you for listening Mr. Cairoshell and Mr. National.”
Mr. Dance then gave them their papers and it turned out to be an assignment but when Ark looked at the paper it said, “Welcome to detention. This may be a place a punishment but in Mr. Dance’s detention, you can relax with friends. What you are about to hear, is top secret. So, tell anyone and die.”

Ark then stopped reading and thought, This is very weird. So, that’s why everyone is so calm here.

Ark then looked at the paper once again and read to him, “To prove yourself here, you must do two things. One, gain your ability to keep your own, in life. Two, beat an old member of the Resistance Revival or RR in an-all out brawl. What your heart seeks is more strength just like your grandfather, Jelani. This is what you have but haven’t unlocked it yet. Close your eyes twice and you will become a gifted hand-to-hand fighter. Your opponent will be, Lokii of the Darkness Fist. From this point on, you will be known as Ark of the Flame Fist. Every hit you make, will grant you the power to be a lot more formidable then a regular punch. Good luck.”

Ark looked at Xavier and saw that he was sleeping. Ark looked around to see if anyone was looking and did what the paper said. He closed his eyes twice and the paper wrapped around his wrist turning it into golden and red wristbands.

“What the heck?” Ark asked. He looked at the room once again. It turned into a bunch of electronics and technology. It looked like a really cool-tricked out bedroom; to Ark. Ark got out of his seat and walked up to Mr. Dance.

“Excuse me, Mr. Dance?”

Mr. Dance turned around as half of his body was robotic and the other was not. The other part was human.

“Yes, Ark of the Flame Fist?” Mr. Dance asked as his robotic eye glowed and receded back once.

“Uh…what’s going on?” Ark just asked point-blank. Ark’s mind was boggling at what he was going through. A kid stepped out from the back of the room and walked up to Ark and Mr. Dance.

“Who the heck is this?” Ark asked.

“This is Lokii and you have to fight him.” Mr. Dance explained.

“You didn’t answer my question.”

“No, time for that, fight Lokii,” Mr. Dance started. “Oh, yeah and he’s tough.”

“Come on. You scared?” Lokii asked taunting Ark in a dark and deep voice.

“Of, course, not! C’mon!” Ark yelled as he stepped to the middle of the room. Ark noticed he was bad because of his attitude and evil voice, but no physical features were there that made him look evil. Ark disregarded this fact and began the battle with Lokii.
“You going to make the first move?” Lokii asked observing Ark’s power. He sensed Ark had much power in him but Lokii doubted Ark knew how to control it.

“You go ahead. I’m new at this.” Ark answered as Lokii disappeared.

“I knew it. You newbie’s are so typical.”

Lokii swung his leg around into Ark’s stomach but Ark didn’t go flying. Ark grabbed Lokii’s leg and threw him down. Ark then jumped after Lokii in the air but as Ark tried punching Lokii, Lokii’s skills were too much for Ark and thus repelled backwards. Ark rebounded trying to recover from his fall.

“Was that I? What a rush! Yeah!” Ark yelled as Lokii hardly gave Ark anytime to recover. Lokii kicked Ark into the air and then went flying after him. Lokii slammed Ark into the ground with a black-colored fist. That’s what the Art of Darkness Fist was. Ark recovered but was badly injured. Lokii came at Ark again but Ark was ready. Ark grabbed Lokii’s punch with one hand and with the other hand, Ark made a fist, covering it in Fire. He then slammed Lokii into a wall, defeating him. Ark was knocked out, due to lack of recovery time. Xavier woke up and saw Ark lying on the ground.

“Ark! Let’s go to the Infirmary.” Xavier stammered as he smiled at Mr. Dance. Mr. Dance pushed Xavier out of the door and gave them their things. Before Xavier left the room, he looked around the room and felt out of place. The room had changed back to the normal room. Xavier shrugged and then hurried to the nurse’s infirmary.
