to be a Ranger.
You are taken into the Office of The Mentor and told you have all the qualities to be a Power Ranger but their is one small problem.
Your gender.
If you agree to take on the power you gender will be changed (boys will become girls, girls will become boys)
Would you still accept?

Have to say no. Then question why gender would be an issue in becoming a ranger if I meet all the qualities. While I respect and love everything rangers do for us I can not give up an identity I feel comfortable with. After my soap box spill I would ask if there was some other function I can play.

think of it sort of like the DNA lock on the Chronomrphers
The Pink Ranger can only be a girl, the blue ranger only a boy and unfortiunatly your 'alignment' is the color of your oposite gender

I wouldn't accept. Sure being a ranger would be cool and all, but I'd like to keep my gender as it is.

Is it permanent, or a "Sailor Starlights" situation?

You mean, no matter where I am or what I'm doing, I'll always have the chance to check out some breasts?
Yeah, sounds cool.

Even then I would still say no and wonder what made him/her think I would change my gender.

Permanent, wouldn't relly be worth mentioning woudl it if the only time your a girl is when you clad head to toe in spandex with a all concealing helmet
Even then I would still say no and wonder what made him/her think I would change my gender.
Because he's offering you a chance to be a Power Ranger?

as much as i would want to be a ranger i wouldnt change my gender for it. if the mentor wants me to be a ranger it will be as my current gender. i just dont think it would be worth becoming a girl to be a power ranger. they are never really the strong ones. they normally dont get that much attention either. i mean by that pr seems to favor the males more.

This is a tad odd, but no, I would not change my gender to become a ranger.

Could I grow breasts but keep my genitals and be some sort of freak show, would that get me my powers?
And then, if the Ranger thing fails, I can fall back on making obsure videos for money.

I'd volunteer to become a Knight instead. Knights (while usually male) are always colors that are non-gender-specific, and therefore, anyone can be one. Granted, Knights don't get nearly as much action or love as Rangers do, but I'd rather become a Knight and be ignored much of the time than have to become a woman to be a Ranger.
If neither was available, I'd assume an Alpha/Cam/Spencer role.

Why change your gender permanent JUST for being a ranger for what..a year??..or until you have defeated the evil completely :S

if i was in that posiion id make sure the big boss was willing to support me after that year. "sure i'll be a ranger, but i better have a reliable job after this is over. I'm not ecacly going to get a job when all my records say male and i'm clearly not"

I'm already an 'honorary lady' anyway, and being a girl would make lots of things much easier for me...So, sure, Ranger powers being the icing on the cake, why not? Though, this is a very weird question. Gender dysphoria aside, I'd take up the mantle. Besides, being a girl surrounded by yummy, buff guys in tight spandex can't be all that bad.
Sorry but it's a NO from me. I'm happy with who i am and i wouldn't change that to suit someone else

This is about the weirdest thread on the new RT.
A definite no. I'd call him a retard and walk out... probably steal a morpher of my own gender and shoot him in the face... and the heart as well, just to be sure. (Keep in mind this is a fictional mentor who asked us to change genders we're talking of, not any member of this site)

I'd say NO
If the "mentor" cannot accept me as I am, I'd refuse and being a ranger is being yourself and saving the world from all problems !!!

I wouldn't change my gender. My opinion is that the gender doesn't matter. So if I had to change my gender before this mentor would choose me as a ranger, I would definately say no.

If the gender switch is permanate I would want the ranger powers to be permanate as well. If that's the case sure. I'de take up the opportunity to be a Male ranger. However, if the ranger powers weren't permanate no, it's not fair to change genders permanately but, loose out on the powers once the big evil's gone.

no other morpher will work for you. It's not something the Mentor can control. You are "keyed" to a specific color. Using the morpher to morph will magically change you because The Power wont work unless your the right gender.
Of cousre the MEntor will let you keep the morpher after the main villian is defeated but if its destroyed in the course of the series The Mentor can't just replace it.
Think about sort of if Andre Hartford had the Zeocrystal. He can make you a ranger but he doesnt control the Power
