Guess who's back? Yep Yep. It's back after much re-starting things. For those of you who don't know it's time to introduce you to the Gateway.

Set in the realm of Marvel's comics before Civil War. Original story, anything that seems a like probably isn'y but ask anyways, and yeah it's gots lots of that drama=P. PG-13

(For The Record I hate that double space BS so you could read easier...I'll try and adjust for you people anyways. Don't be afraid to leave comments here, I'm too lazy to make the thread in the other one. And the vice versa applies, don't feel you're forced to leave comments to be nice. Language in the fic could be a problem for some of you.).

The Gateway.

Origins-Part One
"Gateway...It's meaning....an entrance or passage that may be closed by a gate. A Structure for enclosing such an opening or an entrance. What if I told you I am the definition of a Gateway...Would you believe me? What if I was the Gate or the structure that opened and closed those openings and sealed them away behind a gate? What if I Am The GateWay? Listen....

It started a while back now...I guess ever super-hero's story is kind of unique. I mean you look in the papers and you see names like Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, and you just wonder...What made them sooo special? And you see comic books about them. And you watch movies about them. And you see costumes of them. And it makes you wonder...How'd they start? What gave them those powers...We know who the Fantastic Four is and what happened...The X-men are mutants, Spider-Man obviously had something to do with a spider. The Hulk is always angry.... But what made me special? Was it Destiny? Did i become blessed with a curse? Well I was 17, a good kid in a bad life. God gave me life and a path to walk. It was my decison wether or not I was to keep walking on it...."

"Chinese Folk speaks of a sword...this sword had the power to open a GateWay between worlds. The owner of the sword was intrusted with the swords ability to control the wind and any air current...Why? Because he was able to trust the winds with his life. The sword believed in his trust. The sword had feelings."

"So an object in Chinese Folk, is given the traits of a human?"

"Yes Robert. And the amazing thing about this is that the man who owned the sword was always safe when he followed the wind," Mr.Chan the subsitute spoke to the class that laughed at his story.
" You laugh at my story, why?"

"With all do respect, I really just don't believe in this kind of thing....who the hell does," responded the voice of Gavin Theodre. He stood up and walked up to the teacher's desk.

"Why not," Mr. Chan's eyes followed his student as Gavin took a seat in the teachers desk.

"Because, Chinese folk also states that a blue fire breathing Iguana slash Dinosaur lives in the ocean and fights three headed dragons."

The class laughed. "Mr.Gavin is it?"

"No It's Theo to you."

"Well, then Mr.Theo...Godzilla, is in Japan. Not China. And you're right it's only a folk tale carried on for Generations and Generations but what's to say it doesn't exist?"

"Prove it then."
The class talked amongst themselves.

"Ok, I Will."

"Wh-Wha...What?"

The class stopped talking and payed attention to the conversation in the front. Mr.Chan pulled out a picture of a sword.
"This My Class...is the sword of the wind...Only One In the world. It's being shipped here today because a friend of mine bought it for nearly 100,000 dollars. This is the sword that chinese folk speaks of."

"But that's only a picture..,"Robert responded.

"True it may be, and we may not know if it's the only one in the world...But for now I shall see."

"Look with all do respect again, you're bugging me with this talk about ancient swords that opens the gate to other worlds..."

"Are you to say that the X-Men aren't a group of mutants? Are you to say Spider-Man isn't a hero that web-slings everywhere in New York," Mr.chan asked almost enraged.

Gavin arose from the teachers seat and grabbed the picture from Mr.Chan's hand. His expression was steaming. He ripped the picture and smiled.

"I ain't never seen them."

5 minutes later Gavin is in the principles office.
"Gavin, this is-"

"Theo," Gavin cut off the principal.

The Principal sighed..."Theo, you have been in my office every single period of this day, for the last month! What is going on with you? You think this teenage rebellion is cute or something? Are you trying to screw over your life now so you won't have to do it later," Prinicpal Brynes yelled.

"Are you trying to say I won't make it in life?"

"Gavin, I'm say-"

"My name is Theo."

"Gavin!"

"MY DAMN NAME IS THEO!"

"Gavin, you're attitude towards school has changed dramatically this month! What the hell is going on. this is un-acceptable."

"Who are you to say what's acceptable and what's not?"

"I'm the authority."

"No, you're some fat-ass no life teacher with a promotion. You're the same
kid in you were in high school at heart, but in your mind you make your self believe this is what you wanna do for the rest of your fat ass life!"

"Gavin, I will-"

"MY NAME IS THEO. WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?"

"You will go by what I call you!"

"Who do you think you are?"

"I am the principal of this school. I hold the authority in this room. I don't give two shits about what you think about your name...YOU WILL GO BY WHAT I CALL YOU."

"So then, what are you gonna call me Mr.Fat Ass?"

"You're suspended in-definetly..."

"Wha-Wha...What!"

"Get out!"

"You can't do that."

"No...No...No Please......I'm on probation....My Mom will kill me if she finds out I got suspended again."

"That's not my problem....And some advice GAAAAVIN. Leave you're problems at home. Because when you step in my doors, you're in my house. Not yours."

"Mr.Brynes....please,"Gavin begged with tears in his eyes."Please..."

"GET OUT!"

"Fine...You want me to leave?"

"Yes..."

Gavin arose from the seat in front of the desk. The principal looked at the newly suspended student. Gavin then grabbed the fire extinguisher from the wall and threw it at the door's glass window. He then opened the door and ran.

"GAVIN...GAVIN somebody call the cops. Call secruity. GET THAT DAMN KID!"

Gavin ran as fast as he kid. He ran out the building and ran straight for home. But he knew he couldn't go home because his mom would freak. He decided to run to the pier. As he was running he heard sirens so he cut through the alley ways and arrived at the piers. He sat on a near-by bench raising his hood over his head to avoid being spotted. He watched the water thinking:I have it so hard, but I make it that way. WHY! Why can't I be like normal kids, with a mom and a dad...and...JUST BE NORMAL.
He nearly fell off the bench hearing the sirens drive by. He was lost in his thoughts though.
[Narration]
I never had it easy to be honest with you. I was five when my dad walked out on my mom to be with some hoe he just met. I was six when he came to visit but got shot due to his stupid little drug habits. I watched him hold his tears in. My Mom didn't cry though. And neither did I. I just watched with a straight face. But after that things changed for me and my mom. We had to move all around the city because the rent was getting to high. That's when she started to change. When I was eight, it's when the most noticeable changes started taking place, she started getting violent with me until I out grew it. She became bitter towards me as if I was the reason why my dad left to go do drugs with a hoe. She stayed home alot and I was forced to teach myself alot. In school I was smart, but I abandoned it for the money I needed to make. I cut school alot to steal food and rob people and just sell that stuff for rent money. And well same things are going on now. Just rougher because, well my mom has cancer, she just found out a couple of weeks ago. She's using her cancer as a scapegoat though to make me work even harder then I am to support us. Well that's a little about me you should know before the story goes on.[End Narration]

As Three O'Clock came Gavin rose from his seat on the bench and wondered how'd he make his money this time because rent was due tomorrow. As he began to walk he felt a presence behind him that he didn't like. He balled his fist and took in a deep breath. He slightly moved his head upward...He quickly turned around bringing his fist to the face of his friend, Micahel Ford. Michael stood there shocked almost as if he was about to die.

"Don't do that,"Gavin said lowering his fist.

"Sorry dude, I just saw you. Hey what happened in school,"He asked as they walked side by side.

"Nothing."

"Dude, the cops were there. Something happened."

"Yo. Stay out of my business."

"Ok...Sorry."

Gavin adjusted his hood as a moment of silence overcame. Michael was Gavin's newly acquainted friend. They met during a lil robbery set up by Gavin's other friend, Tommy.

"Yo, guess what,"Michael supressing his excitement for the news he only
knew as he told Gavin to guess.

"What,"Gavin's voice deeply responded lacking enthusiasm.

"Turns out Mr.Chan was right about those swords coming in today. Hangman's Pawn Shop tonight. Word is low level security for it so Tommy wants to pull a heist for those swords and sell em on ebay."

"How would we split the profit? And I need the money by tomorrow."

"Look man eviction notices don't come for about two weeks after rent is late. And word is there are three swords not just one. So you down?"

"Yeah sure. What ever. I just really need that money man."

"Don't worry bro, Tommy got you covered until the money comes in."

I like this man. Its pretty good. Just work on editing cause sometimes its hard to follow when you dont make corrections and stuff. But other than that, its great. Keep up the good work.

So what is the race of Gavin, Michael, and Tommy? I just want to know so i can visualize the story better.

Origins Part Two

Six O'Clock, Gavin sat on his porch of the two family house he lived in, observing the poverty struck neighborhood he resides in. He sighed heavily and closed his eyes thinking about the night. He placed his head on his knees and sighed.

God. I know I'm not perfect. But please, please help me through this. Send me a sign or something that'll point me in the right way.

Just then he was startled by a tap on his shoulder. Quickly lifting his head up he laid his eyes on a girl not much older then him in looks.
"Uh, Gavin right,"She asked with a smile.

"Who wants to know?"

"Don't be so hostile gosh,"She smiled,"Everyone at school was talking about you and the whole incident and I wanted to know what happened?"

"Stay out of my business,uh, What's your name?"

"Jessica. Jessica Blake,"She exteneded her hand out.

"Woah, can I ask you something,"He said looking at her hand as she retracted it,"Do you intrude on people's lives all the time? Or am I special?"

"Why are you acting like that for. I don't even know you and I'm trying to make sure you're ok. Just trying to be kind and helpful,"Her expression changed from nice to ugly.

"You think you can waltz in my life and just become my friend with out me knowing anything about you?"

"You always have some sort of response that is really un-neccessary. You're being mean, but not only that, you're being stupid."

"So now you insult me? Hmm nice way to make friends."

"Ok, I really don't need this now. Gavin st-"

"My name is Theo,"He exclaimed to her.

"Goodbye!"

Gavin watched as Jessica walked away. Her brunette hair swaying in the breeze of the spring. He stood up and sighed and then walked down the rest of his stairs to take a walk. As he walked he stopped at a near by park and watched the little kids running around and what remained of the day. The sun was begining to go into it's slumber. Gavin couldn't help watching one of the boys run around in circles while his father chased him. Emotions ran in his mind as quick as they left. The last thing he felt was stuck though. It wouldn't move. It was stuck. The breeze felt good hitting his head as he stood there sweating and letting the breeze cool him down as his jaw tightened.

Why his life? Why was he forced to commit crimes to live? Why is he being targeted by trouble? All these questions burned in his head as the breeze took a halt. He turned around quickly and walked down to Hangman's pawn shop to inspect the place. He noticed Jessica behind the counter and he stared at her. He turned away when he felt he was spotted and crossed the street.

(Narration)
I wasn't always bitter towards people. I used to have good friends too. I remember my one best friend. His name was Jonathan. He was so cool. We used to run around and pretend we were power rangers or even X-Men sometimes. As we got older we kind of drifted apart. Then he moved and I haven't heard from him since and since then, I haven't gotten close to anybody. I don't have a reason to get close to anyone. (End Narration)

"Excuse me sir, do you need anything,"An old man had come out the shop. He seemed so enthusastic though. A giant smile on his face while asking Gavin the question.

"Yeah, I need to know if my teacher was right,"He responded taking his eyes off of Jessica.

"Oh, Mr.Chan told me about you. So you're not a believer?"

"No man, I'm along the lines of stop feed me this crap and maybe I believe I won't get hostile."

"Calm down young man. I'll have the swords on display by tomorrow."

"Yeah so how would you prove that they have 'powers',"He mocked the old man.

"I shouldn't have to prove it, but hopefully the wind will guide you the right way,"He smiled.

At this time Jessica left the counter and came around, she stood behind the old man with a hand on his shoulder.

"Is anything wrong grandpa," She asked.
"No nothing." Her Grandfather responded with a smile on his wrinkled face.
"What does he want?" Jessica's tone gave the impression of displeasure at the sight of Gavin.

"HE has a name,"Gavin's eyes stared into hers.

"HE has eyes that are burning a hole through my skull. Do you like what you see or something?"

"HE thinks all the hair product in your hair is sinking into your brain and will slowly rot your blood stream."

"HE's an asshole," Jessica said turning around and storming back in.

"Kids these days,"The old man said following Jessica in,"Don't forget this wise little piece...You're given instincts, but nature has a part to play too."

Gavin stood there, soaking in everything at once. It's just one thing that he needed to do now but, he wasn't sure if he wanted to do it....he was trying to put everything that just happened behind him. But not only could he not for some reason, he couldn't move his eyes off of Jessica, who stared right back.

...Finally, a wind came and breezed across his face and he closed his eyes and turned around. This time he let nature take him home.
