Tony Stark, heir to a billion-dollar corporation, lives a life of luxury, free to pursue his chief interests—seeking extreme thrills, solving scientific mysteries and creating mind-boggling inventions. But everything goes horribly wrong when a tragic accident robs Tony of his father and nearly costs him his own life. Now dependent on his own impressive technology for survival and dedicated to battling corruption, Tony must reconcile the pressure of teenage life with the duties of a Super Hero. Inside his remarkable invention, Tony Stark is geared for high-speed flight, high-tech battles and high-octane adventure! He is Iron Man

Is it a good or bad thing people?

I don't see any mention of Vietnam or a life-threatening chest injury. I'll pass.

I think they're going more along the lines of Ultimate Iron Man...where he didn't go to Vietnam.

And it probably could still be a life-threatening Chest Injury. The Blurb does say a tragic accident that almost costs him his life.

I do love Ultimate Iron Man...

Okay, I'll give it a shot.

I figured with a new movie an animated series wasn't far behind, I'll give it a try though.

It was good till they said he was a teenager... Why most he be a teenager? Spider-man yeah but Iron Man no.... I'll give it a chance but the teenage thing..... WHY?

Question

He didn't go to Vietnam because he's a teenager.

I'm not liking this concept, but I have to give any new interpretation a chance. Even though this basically sounds like what would happen if Spider-Man was rich and Uncle Ben was the head of a technology company.

Seriously. This sounds almost exactly like Spider-Man.

Sounds more like a happy Batman.

I have no idea what you're referring to.

The Japanese bastardize everything they come into contact with. Shame.

I'm feeling the same way and I'm not that big of an IM fan...they should at least try to stick to an reasonable plot.

SWEET! I always wanted to see what IM would have been like as a teenager! I'll definately be watching this. My only complaint is that the armor looks... wimpy. Like a good strong breeze would send him flying into a tree.

Meh, it wasn't bad. The intro was probably the best part of the show.

You do realize this series hasn't even aired yet, right?

he proably is thinking of the Red and blue Iron man, you know the one with the spadnex armor and web-pulsor shooters

Kinda skeptical about this. I like Tony as an adult, though the "heir to a fortune" thing strikes me as conceivable. Hopefully it'll be more watchable than the Fantastic Four: Earth's Greatest Heroes cartoon turned out to be.

So it looks a little like they are going the route of Ultimate Iron Man. At least the part where he develops the suit as a teen and has his father by his side.

But without that Goatee or a Martini/scotch/whiskey in his hands...is it really Tony Stark?
