SEVENTEENTH "POWER RANGERS" SEASON TO RACE INTO ACTION ON "POWER RANGERS: NITRO DEFENDERS," THE LATEST IN THE #1 GLOBAL ACTION\ADVENTURE FRANCHISE.

FRESNO, CA.-January 5, 2008...Pre-production is underway on the seventeenth season of "Power Rangers..." "Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders." It's theme is that of animals and vehicles.

"Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders" is led by executive producers Amit Bhaumik and Judd Lynn, with producers Ann Austen and Sally Campbell, director Koichi Sakamoto, and writer Christopher M. Clark; a long-time fan of the franchise.

All iterations of "Power Rangers" feature adventure, action, comedy, and drama while teaching valuable lessons about the importance of teamwork. Stories are accented by the heroes' extraordinary powers, martial arts, acrobatics, special effects, and relatable characters that, in addition to the growing pains most people face, must work to triumph over evil.

"Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders" will debut on Rangerboard and Henshin! Heroes on Friday night; March 7, 2008, then move to Saturday afternoons at about 1:00pm (Pacific) on March 15, 2008. 'Nitro Defenders' is produced by NightRanger Industries along with Ranger Productions, Inc., TV-Asahi, and ABC Domestic Television in association with The Walt Disney Company and Toei Company. A sixty (60) episode run is planned to allow for maximum character and story development. 'Nitro Defenders' will be based upon the Japanese Super Sentai series "Engine Sentai Go-onjaa," which premieres on February 17, 2008 in Japan.

The preliminary story will be: Sentient beings known as the VehAni [VEE-ON-KNEE] have come to Earth to seek help from Alpha VI. The home-world of the VehAni was invaded...by a rogue branch of the Machine Empire, led by King Gasket and Queen Archerina, along with their upgraded Cog-like soldiers, the Gearoids and polluted. The VehAni warn Alpha, and Adam that Earth is the next target. With no time to spare, the VehAni instruct Adam on how to build morphers, and then recruit five young adults who are former students of Adam's to become the Nitro Power Rangers.

The preliminary cast for 'Nitro Defenders' is as follows: Adam Wylie (Jimmy Olson on "Superman: Doomsday") as Ryder Swanson\Red Ranger, Carlo Smith as Brandon Crawford\Blue Ranger, Brenda Song (Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior) as Keiko Ogawa\Yellow Ranger, Jake Lindesay (Ben on "Power Rangers: Mystic Force" 'Rock Solid') as Jacob "Jake" Garabedian\Green Ranger, Ryan James (Psycho Kid on PRLG, Draco on my version of PRJF) as Mateo "Matt" Sandoval\Black Ranger, Gina Varela (Charlie on PRSPD) as Chloe Wilcox, Campbell Cooley as Alpha 6, and starring...Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam Park.

Sorry that this is a bit late...a minor computer hiccup prevented me from finalizing the second episode's script, but it's all fixed now. I will try to get the stories in on time as much as I can from now on.

EXT.-MACHIA-NIGHT
[The three main VehAni (Condor, Lion, and Bear) are racing through the sky-streets of Machia, a planetoid in another realm filled with beings made of vehicles and animals. The VehAni are chasing the Machine Empire Gunships, or MEGs, piloted by three members (Yogo, Metalia, and Argo) of a rogue branch of the Machine Empire. Metalia fires on Condor, who launches off of Lion to crash into some MEGs. The Machine Generals retreat from their crafts and flee via a purple wormhole in the sky.

EXT.-EARTH-CITY-PARK DOJO-REAR PATIO-DAY (six months later)
[A busy Saturday at the dojo. A familiar face is showing a class of about fifteen students the solar eclipse.]

ADAM PARK:
(showing everyone the shadowbox created to view the eclipse)
Okay everyone...get ready...here's the apex, where the entire sun is covered. Now, don't look directly at the sun itself.

[At the apex of the eclipse, multi-colored beams of light shine through the darkened portion, and land in the small park across the street from the back of the dojo.]

KID #1:
Sensei, what's that?

KID #2:
Is that supposed to a part of the eclipse?

ADAM PARK:
No. Chloe, get everyone inside!

CHLOE WILCOX:
What about you, Adam?

[Five mechanical beings take in their surroundings. Adam stares at them while citizens flee.]

KING GASKET:
Hello, Angel Grove...bow to the new Machine King!

ADAM PARK:
Oh, no!

[Adam Makes sure the coast is clear, then activates his Zeonizers. Both pieces appear on his wrists, and he puts them together to morph.]

It's Morphin Time! Zeo Ranger Four...Green!

KING GASKET:
A Zeo Ranger!

GREEN ZEO RANGER:
Yep...it's me. Been a long time. I see you ascended to the throne.

KING GASKET:
No thanks to you rangers, Zedd, and Rita.

GREEN ZEO RANGER:
New followers?

KING GASKET:
My followers and I are a part of the new Neo Machine Empire.

GREEN ZEO RANGER:
You do know that I can't let you guys stay here.

[Into communicator.]

Alpha...the Machine Empire has returned.

[The Green Zeo Ranger tries to take on the five mechanical villains, but Gasket easily overpowers him, and makes the ranger de-morph.]

ADAM PARK:
(on the ground in discomfort)
Man, Tommy had a better time at this seven years ago!

KING GASKET:
Ha! You puny Earthling! Come on, guys...taking over this rock will be a snap with no Power Rangers in the way!

ADAM PARK:
(staring down the mechanical quintet as they walk away.)
We'll see about that!

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Inside a hidden base, deep within the mountains under where the Command Center and Power Chamber once stood is a Edenite-built robot, Alpha Six working on getting a computer system, known as Global online. He then tests the sensors, and follows the sensor readings to locate the machines traveling to a secluded island off the coast of California near Catalina.]

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi!

INT.-CITY-PARK DOJO-DAY
[Since the area is safe, Adam dismisses his class while standing next to the front counter, staffed by Chloe Wilcox, the dojo's Assistant Manager. As the last student exits the doors, Adam lets Chloe, who is in the ranger knowledge loop, what is going on, and his experience with the Machine Empire.]

CHLOE WILCOX:
What was that all about, Adam?

ADAM PARK:
They are a part of the Machine Empire. See, they tried to invade back in nineteen ninety-six. My friends and I were already rangers. They, were the new threat. this five-piece crystal gave us new powers, that at the time were sufficient enough to battle them.

CHLOE WILCOX:
And now?

ADAM PARK:
My old Zeo Powers were not enough. Chloe...Alpha needs me at the Power Center...the planet is now in danger.

CHLOE WILCOX:
Okay...I'll close up, and be there soon.

ADAM PARK:
Okay.

[Adam teleports out of the dojo by touching buttons on his communicator.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Adam teleports in and questions Alpha.]

ALPHA SIX:
(not sounding as "whiney" as in PROO)
Adam, thank goodness you're here! Global's sensors followed them to an island near Catalina!

ADAM PARK:
Good work.

[All of a sudden, the alarms ring out as a tri-colored beam of red, blue, and yellow light enters the base. Adam and Alpha shield their eyes from the brightness.]

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi!

[Once the intensity of the light dims, small vehicular items are revealed. They are weak, but can talk.]

Adam...these are the VehAni...auto-beings from the planet Machia!

ADAM PARK:
(to the VehAni)
Are you guys okay?

CONDOR:
We came to warn the people of Earth...but it seems we're a little late.

LION:
See...our planet was invaded and grossly polluted by the Machine Empire.

BEAR:
They escaped...here to Earth...their next target.

ADAM PARK:
Yeah...I met them a couple hours ago, and got beat.

LION:
We want to help prevent this planet from becoming what our planet became...a polluted wasteland.

CONDOR:
First of all...can someone remove our Super Nitro Cells? I think we're starting to lose power.

[The access doors on the VehAni Casts open, and Alpha removes the cells.]

ADAM PARK:
I will help you the best I can.

CONDOR:
We'll help you build technology that will help defeat them. I understand that this mountain was once home to the Power Rangers?

ADAM PARK:
Yes...but it has been quite some time.

ALPHA SIX:
Adam, you know the ranger motto...?

ADAM PARK:
Ah, yes...once a ranger, always a ranger.

EXT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[An establishment shot as the camera zooms in on the palace.]

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The five machines settle into their new home.]

YOGO:
So...how do we begin?

KING GASKET:
We begin by sending a Machine Beast into the city.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[On what seems to be a normal day, a wedding lets out of a modern-looking church. The bride and groom exit the building, and are flanked on either side by well-wishers, who are throwing rose petals at the happy couple. Meanwhile, three young adults (Ryder Swanson, Brandon Crawford, and Keiko Ogawa) are sitting on the grass in the park enjoying the day, and talking about the eclipse, which has since ended.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
That eclipse was weird-er than usual.

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Yeah...and those things that came from it...what were those things!?

[Nearby, the wedding party poses for pictures. Suddenly, the ground shakes as a monster emerges from underground. He looks like part incinerator, part furnace...INFERNUS, and he releases black smoke, which chokes the area. The people flee. The commotion alerts the three young adults to the monster.]

Man! First the weird eclipse...now this!

[Infernus eats the camera, tripod, and other smaller items by placing them in the incinerator above his face, then releases more choking smoke. The three young adults confront the Machine Beast.]

INFERNUS:
Are you three puny humans gonna try to stop me!?

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The alarms ring out. Adam sees the three being harassed on the view-screen.]

ADAM PARK:
Oh, no! I gotta get out there!

CONDOR:
Adam...I sense that they are the ones. They possess the racing and justice spirit. Take them the new morphers.

[Adam grabs the morphers and teleports out.]

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[Adam teleports into a wooded area to morph.]

ADAM PARK:
(twisting his wrists to activate his Zeonizers. Both pieces appear on his wrists, and he puts them together to morph.)

It's Morphin Time! Zeo Ranger Four...Green!

[Adam morphs into the Green Zeo Ranger, then leaps in to battle the monster.]

GREEN ZEO RANGER:
Yo, hot-head! Leave them alone!

RYDER SWANSON:
Look! A Power Ranger!

[An angry King Gasket teleports in.]

KING GASKET:
You again!?

GREEN ZEO RANGER:
You know, you're getting to be a royal pain in the...

KING GASKET:
Watch it, pipsqueak!

GREEN ZEO RANGER:
Zeo Blade!

[The Green Zeo Ranger charges at the machine king.]

INFERNUS:
Gearoids!

[All of a sudden, two dozen robotic droids appear, and protect their monarch while battling the ranger. Overpowered, the Green Zeo Ranger tosses the morphers to the three young adults. The three take hold of them as the Zeo Ranger gets blasted to the ground by Gasket, and de-morphs in some pain. The three young adults rush to help Adam.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Sensei Park? You're a Power Ranger?

ADAM PARK:
Was...my powers are toast, now. Those things I gave you...

KEIKO OGAWA:
The cell-phones?

ADAM PARK:
They aren't phones...as you would know them. They are the Nitro Morphers. I want you three to become the Nitro Power Rangers. To activate your powers, call out the command of "Start Up," and press the yellow button.

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
I say we do it!

KEIKO OGAWA:
The planet need us.

[The three battle Infernus, and the Gearoids un-morphed, but with a sense of confidence. While some Gearoids keep the three busy, Infernus goes after some citizens with other Gearoids, but are later interrupted by the three young adults charging at them.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Hey!

INFERNUS:
And just what are you three kids gonna do?

RYDER SWANSON:
Guys...let's turn up the heat!

[The three take out their Nitro Morphers and open them. In their left hands, they put them up towards tier right cheek, and shout out the command.]

ALL:
Start Up!

[The three press the yellow button to morph.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Screech Of The Condor! Red Nitro Ranger, Rev Up!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Roar Of The Lion! Blue Nitro Ranger, Rev Up!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Growl Of The Bear! Yellow Nitro Ranger, Rev Up!

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
(posing)
Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders...

[The trio perform a couple roundhouse kicks.]

Let's Go!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Whoa! Now, this is power!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
It's almost like second nature!

RED NITRO RANGER:
Yeah, now let's put them to good use...Nitrolizer!

[The Red Ranger un-holsters his sidearm and inserts his Super Nitro Cell. The Blue and Yellow Rangers do the same. The three rangers then transform their Nitrolizers into it's baton mode as the monster calls upon more Gearoids. Both sides then battle.]

Okay, guys...let's dismantle these freaks!

[The trio take on the Gearoids. The Red Ranger energizes his Nitrolizer to stab several Gearoids, shish-kabob style. The Blue Ranger uses his "cuff-wheels," and the Yellow Ranger uses her tornadic spin to take out some Gearoids.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Yeah!

[Meanwhile, a small, white Mad Mike's Pizza delivery scooter travels up the street. When a Gearoid lands in front of it's path, the driver as to suddenly brake. He gets off of the cycle, and removes his helmet to check on the downed robot. The employee is JAKE GARABEDIAN. He is wearing a green polo-shirt and tan pants with a red jacket with the pizzeria's logo on it.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
What in the world!? Huh? What's that noise?

[Jake hears the battle, and tries to get closer. By some boats, he sees another person dressed head to toe in black. The man, MATT SANDOVAL, talks with a Spanish accent.]

MATT SANDOVAL:
(introducing himself, and flashing his badge)
Hi...I'm Detective Mateo Sandoval...Angel Grove P-D. Call me Matt.

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Hi, Matt. I'm Jakob Garabedian...Mad Mike's Pizza driver. Call me Jake. So, those are the Power Rangers?

MATT SANDOVAL:
Yes, but the last time there was trouble here, was a little over a decade ago.

[The three rangers revert their Nitrolizers back to blaster mode and fire on Infernus to make him retreat. The rangers celebrate a bit as Matt moves in to confront them.]

Excuse me...(flashes is badge) Detective Mateo Sandoval, Angel Grove Police...is our city being threatened again?

RED NITRO RANGER:
Right now, yes. The Machine Empire has returned. Come on, guys...let's teleport.

[The three rangers teleport out.]

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
Whoa! They're so cool! I wanna be a ranger!

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Infernus returns.]

YOGO:
(stomping his right foot in anger)
Those rangers are getting on my nerves!

[Metalia goes to drink some oil.}

METALIA:
What now?

ARGO:
We proceed to plan "B." Infernus, step into this chamber for an upgrade.

[Infernus steps in. Argo then flips a lever to activate the chamber. When finished, Infernus exits, then departs for the city, ready for battle.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The three young adults.teleport in with their helmets in their hands.]

RYDER SWANSON:
So, this is our base.

ADAM PARK:
Yes...welcome. This is the Power Center...your new home-away-from-home. This is Alpha...my assistant here.

[Global's sensors detect the monster in the city.]

ALPHA SIX:
Infernus is currently at the amusement park.

RYDER SWANSON:
Got it...let's go!

ALL:
Back to action!

[The trio teleport out.]

ADAM PARK:
Condor...is there a chance two more morphers can be built?

EXT.-CITY-AMUSEMENT PARK-DAY
[A lot of unassuming citizens are enjoying the day and having fun. Infernus is at the top of a staircase, as the citizens notice him, and flee. He then chokes the area with black smoke, then departs for the warehouse.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Matt sees smoke rising up from the industrial zone of the city as Jake arrives on his cycle. Both then depart for the scene. Meanwhile, the rangers run through the city.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(with some panting)
There's gotta be an easier way!

voice of ALPHA SIX:
Rangers...Infernus is at the old University warehouse. I'm sending the coordinates now.

INT.-CITY-WAREHOUSE-DAY
[After a few minutes, the three enter the warehouse and confront Infernus, who fires two powerful blasts (one in back of the rangers, and one in front). The blasts are powerful enough to make the trio fall down, and struggle to recover.]

[Infernus fires two powerful blasts (one in back of the rangers, and one in front). The blasts are powerful enough to make the trio fall down, and struggle to recover, but quickly do so.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Ah, that does it!

[The three take out their Nitro Morphers as they get up.]

ALL THREE:
(as they hold their morphers in their left hands, and place the device near their right cheek.)
Start Up!

[The three press the yellow button to morph. The suits form over the trio as the cuffs spin into place around the tops of their gloves and boots, then the belt forms along with the "seatbelt" straps, then the numerical chest logo appears. The helmets then appear over their heads as they grab for them. The trio then puts their helmets on, and the "side wheels" spin and lock into place as the lights flash. Standing in formation from left to right are the Blue, Red, and Yellow Nitro Rangers.]

RED NITRO RANGER:

Screech Of The Condor! Red Nitro Ranger, Rev Up!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:

Roar Of The Lion! Blue Nitro Ranger, Rev Up!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Growl Of The Bear! Yellow Nitro Ranger, Rev Up!

ALL NITRO RANGERS:

Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders...

[The trio perform a couple roundhouse kicks.]

Let's Go!

INFERNUS:
That was impressive! My turn!

[Infernus blasts the rangers, but they dodge the blasts.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(as all three press the "G" on their belt buckles)
Nice try! Nitro Gear!

[Their numerical chest logos glow to produce the individual weaponry.]

Condor Blade!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Lionzooka!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Bear Pellet!

[The three rangers walk the four or five feet slowly, and grab their weapons.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(swinging the sword)
Road Slash!

[The Red Ranger leaps and slashes Infernus with his sword, to send him flying into some boxes. The Machine Beast quickly recovers.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Lion Roar!

[The Blue Ranger fires his weapon to send Infernus into a pillar. The Machine Beast recover.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
You're gonna love this, Watch! Bear Striker!

[The Yellow Ranger releases her weapon. It rolls along the ground to Infernus, and creates sparks as it races around on his body, then the weapon lands on the ground. It then fires a beam to send the Machine Beast flying outside.]

INFERNUS:
(as he flies out the opening)
Whoa!

EXT.-CITY-WAREHOUSE-DAY
[As Infernus lands, the rangers run outside.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Let's combine our weapons!

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
(upon combining the weapons)
Nitro Buster!

RED NITRO RANGER:
(while inserting his Super Nitro Cell into the back of the Lionzooka)
Inserting Super Nitro Cell!

[The cannon activates.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Fire!

[Infernus is blasted off of the building, and lands with a thud below.]

INFERNUS:
Oof! Oh! Industrial Revolution!

[Infernus shuts his eyes.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Yes! I think we got him!

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Metalia is concerned that Infernus was defeated.]

METALIA:
Did those pesky rangers just defeat Infernus?

YOGO:
No...that upgrade provided him a Banki Boost, which will allow him to grow using the Industrial Revolution...but this process takes a little time as the booster must flow throughout his entire body.

METALIA:
Gearoids! Launch the MEGs!

EXT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Dozens of hatches open up to let dozens of Machine Empire Gunships fly out, and depart for Angel Grove.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[A green gas travels through Infernus' body. Meanwhile, the Gearoid-piloted MEGs flood the skies over the city, and start attacking and destroying buildings as the citizens flee to safety.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(turning around to see the MEGs)
Now wha...? Oh, oh!

[The Super Nitro Cells come out of the compartments of the trio's belts, and float in mid-air for a few seconds before they can grab them.]

CONDOR:
Rangers...call Alpha and request the Nitro Casts.

RED NITRO RANGER:
(into is Nitro Morpher)
Alpha...we need the Nitro Casts!

voice of ALPHA SIX:
Right...transporting now!

[The case appears in front of the trio. The case opens on it's own to reveal the three Nitro Casts. The three pick up the casts and insert the Super Nitro Cells. The Red and Yellow Rangers insert their cells into the rear compartment of the casts while the Blue Ranger inserts his into the top of is cast. The casts then come alive.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
(holding their Nitro Casts outward)
Cast-Off!

[The Nitro Casts leap off of their rangers' hands to enlarge into the Nitrozords, and the three rangers board them.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Let's ride! Nitro Condorzord...ready!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
This is cool! Nitro Lionzord...ready!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Nice stereo! Nitro Bearzord...ready!

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The generals witness the Nitrozords on their view-screen.]

METALIA:
The VehAni just grew!

YOGO AND ARGO:
What!?

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The three rangers prepare their Nitrozords for battle. The trio attach their Nitro Morphers to the steering wheels, which activate the seatbelts. They then put the Nitrozords into gear, and charge into battle. The MEGs fire on the three zords, but they are ale to dodge the blasts.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(as several MEGs target his zord from above and ahead.)
So...you guys wanna play! Nitro Condorzord...

[The Red Ranger flips two toggle switches.]

...take flight!

[The side panels fold down to form wings, and talons drop from the chasis, and the zord flies up into the air.]

You're all going down! Lasers!

[The Nitro Condorzord fires on several MEGs, and takes them out before returning to vehicle mode.]

Later!

[Jake and Matt arrive on Jake's scooter in time to watch the battle.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Matt! Look!

[Matt just looks on in some wonder as the Nitro Lionzord and Nitro Bearzord tail some hopping MEGs. The bear continues to follow as they round a corner, then ambush the bear by blocking her way.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER AND BEAR:
Whoa!

[The MEGs fire on the Nitro Lionzord and Nitro Bearzord along with some assorted buildings. Some deris buries the lion as the bear uses the pile as a ramp to launch into the air to chomp on and destroy some MEGs with her mouth.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Gotcha!

BEAR:
Needs salt!

[The bear belches as the lion digs itself out as the bear and condor join up.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Mane Missiles!

[A rooftop missile battery open up on the top of the lion.]

Fire!

[Several missiles destroy some of the MEGs.]

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Metalia is anxious, and consults Yogo.]

METALIA:
Is our Machine Beast ready yet?

YOGO:
Just about.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Infernus recovers and grows after two smoke puffs come out of his pipes. The three Nitrozords confront the giant Machine Beast as his pipes billow more smoke.]

CONDOR:
Ryder...it's time...form the megazord.

RED NITRO RANGER:
(to the others)
Guys...megazord time!

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Nitrozords...combine!

[The three rangers grab their gear shifters, and pull them all the way down, then floor it to achieve maximum RPMs. The three Nitrozords transform for megazord mode. The bear attaches onto the Condor, and the lion attaches to the bear.]

[The megazord, standing and one hundred fifty feet tall, is ready for battle as it stares down the Machine Beast.]

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The generals look at the megazord on the view-screen, and look very worried.]

YOGO:
I didn't know that they could do that!?

ARGO:
Well, Einstein! They're zords...what did you expect!?

[Yogo shoots a stern glance at him...like saying "shut up."]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Infernus continues to billow smoke, and blasts the megazord, which then charges at him.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Victory Shield!

[The shield detaches from the back of the megazord, and comes to the right hand. The shield is used to block the toxic smoke.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(talking into his Nitro Morpher)
Guys...we need to cut of the smoke.

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(talking into his Nitro Morpher)
Let's tie those pipes up!

[The megazord grabs the pipes on Infernus' head to twist them shut. The pipes start to build up with pressure. The megazord uses it's shield to knock the Machine Beast away.]

Nitro Sword!

[The sword pops out of a compartment on the back of the megazord's left leg, and unfolds, then automatically lands in it's right hand.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Let's do it!

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Grand Prix!

[The megazord's engine flames up, and races toward Infernus to slash him, then poses.]

INFERNUS:
Ha! No effect...uh...uh, oh!

[The Machine Beast falls over and explodes. The destruction clears the air, and the trio celebrates before heading back for the base.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The three drivers are in the base, un-morphed, and stand in a row.]

ADAM PARK:
You three had your first taste of the Machine Empire...the first of what is expected to be many to come, as the war is not over yet. I saw potential in Jake and Matt, and decided to have two more morphers made...for them. I want you to recruit them.

ALL:
Yes, Sensei.

[The three bow in respect to Adam.]

ADAM PARK:
Now...go and have some time off. If you're needed, we'll call you.

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-NIGHT
[The machines are very angry.]

KING GASKET:
You three need to do better! I saw my father struggle against the Zeo Rangers over a decade ago...but they were inferior!

QUEEN ARCHERINA:
If you three fail to capture Earth this year, we'll scrap you all!

YOGO:
We'll do better, I swear!

METALIA AND ARGO:
Yeah!

KING GASKET:
We're going to our old Machine Skybase on the moon, so we can better plan the invasion. You are in charge down here.

YOGO:
Thank you, sire! Thank you!

KING GASKET:
Don't you dare fail me!

YOGO:
I vow to destroy the rangers and claim Earth...in the name of the Machine Empire!

[The three generals are upset that their first attempt to take over the planet was thwarted by the VehAni's new allies...the Power Rangers.]

Those rangers!

METALIA:
How will we destroy them?

ARGO:
We'll take out their water supply.

[The chamber opens up to reveal a pipe-like Machine Beast.]

EXHAUSTOR:
I am Exhaustor! What is your bidding?

YOGO:
Go and pollute Angel Grove's supply of drinking water...start at it's source...destroy the dam!

EXHAUSTOR:
Yes, sir!

YOGO:
And don't fail!

[The Machine Beast departs the palace.]

EXT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[The three young adults are doing what they can to help at the dojo. Chloe has them working the counter at the juice bar area before opening.]

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Now this is something I can enjoy...those classes I took at the culinary academy a while back are gonna come in handy here.

KEIKO OGAWA:
Brandon...this is a juice bar. We serve juice and protein drinks and smoothies.

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
(interjecting)
...and sandwiches.

RYDER SWANSON:
Sensei, how id you get this place?

ADAM PARK:
Well, my friend Ernie used to own this place when it was the Angel Grove Gym and Juice Bar. He kept it open for us high school students to use as a study hall and recreation center...he also let the school use it for functions. In two thousand six, I bought it, and returned it to it's glory.

[Jake and Matt arrive.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Jake...Matt!

MATT SANDOVAL:
We were told to come here by your Sensei.

RYDER SWANSON:
Yeah...see...um...we want you two to join us.

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Join you?

[Ryder takes out his morpher and sets it on the counter.]

Are you a...?

RYDER SWANSON:
Yes...a Power Ranger.

KEIKO OGAWA:
The three of us are.

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
We need you to complete our team.

[Adam walks up behind the duo.]

ADAM PARK:
I'm Adam Park. They're speaking the truth, guys.

MATT SANDOVAL:
We'll think about it, Mister Park.

[With that, the two exit. The other three and Adam look less than confident.]

EXT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[Jake and Matt discuss their recruitment outside.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
What's the hold-up, Matt? They want up to join them!

MATT SANDOVAL:
I don't know, Jake.

EXT.-CITY-DAM-DAY
[Exhaustor surfaces from the water, and lands on top of the dam.]

EXHAUSTOR:
Angel Grove...you will soon be out of usable drinking water...give up!

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Global's alarms ring out. Alpha sees on the view-screen the problem and contacts the rangers.]

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[Ryder answers Alpha's call on his Nitro Morpher.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Right, Alpha..we'll be there. (turns to the others) Trouble at the dam...let's go.

[Chloe takes over as the trio depart.]

EXT.-CITY-DAM-DAY
[Exhaustor is already hard at work polluting the water with toxic aqua-colored smoke when the trio arrive.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
There's the drip!

EXHAUSTOR:
Rangers!

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
(posing)
Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders...

[The trio perform some roundhouse kicks.]

..Let's go!

[A group of Gearoids appear and the trio goes to work. The Red Ranger puts is Nitrolizer into Baton Mode while the other two blast with theirs. All of the Gearoids are defeated. The trio then goes after Exhaustor, who blasts them.]

Nitro Gear!

[The Red Ranger strikes with his Condor Blade while the Blue and Yellow Rangers blast with their Lionzooka and Bear Pellet. Exhaustor retreats, but the water is still polluted.]

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Exhaustor returns.]

EXHAUSTOR:
Those rangers are too powerful!

[Exhaustor goes through the chamber, and emerges before departing for the city once again.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[An enlarged Exhaustor is attacking near a suspension bridge with many vehicles going across it in both directions. The three rangers arrive to see the fleeing and panicking citizens.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(into his Nitro Morpher)
Alpha...send the zords!

INT.-MOON-MACHINE SKYBASE-DAY
[King Gasket senses that the zords are being sent to the rangers.]

KING GASKET:
I don't think so, rangers...Cogs! Fire the tractor beam and seize the zords!

[The Cogs fire a beam to grab the zords.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Global's sensors detect the beam.]

ALPHA SIX:
Oh, no you don't, Gasket!

[Alpha touches buttons to send another beam to deflect Gasket's beam.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The case lands in front of Jake and Matt. The two try to figure out what to do with it.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(into his Nitro Morpher)
Alpha, any luck with the zords?

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Alpha responds to the Red Ranger.]

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi, Ryder! King Gasket tried to intercept the case, but it fell back to Angel Grove...I already put out a trace on it. Hold it! It's with Jake and Matt!

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The generals are pleased, and somewhat bewildered as to why the zords have not arrived yet.]

YOGO:
(while watching the view-screen)
Where are the zords?

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The rangers just look up at Exhaustor.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Ryder...the zords aren't coming. What'll we do?

RED NITRO RANGER:
We call for the gear. If those fail, we use the Nitrolizers...we keep fighting! Nitro Gear!

[The three press the "G" symbol on their belt buckles to activate the weapons.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Nitro Buster!

[The three form the cannon. The Blue Ranger inserts his Super Nitro Cell to activate it. The trio fire the weapon several times, but it has no effect on the huge monster, who blasts them to the ground.]

Whoa!

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[Jake and Matt arrive with the case, and go to Chloe.]

MATT SANDOVAL:
Chloe...are they here?

CHLOE WILCOX:
Who?

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
(quietly)
The rangers...we found something of theirs.

[Chloe sees and recognizes the case.]

CHLOE WILCOX:
Come with me, guys.

[The three enter the kitchen.]

Okay. (talking into her communicator) Alpha...this is Chloe. Teleport the case back to the Power Center. Guys...hold on.

[Jake and Matt hold onto the Nitro Case as it is being teleported out.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Jake, Matt, and the case teleport in.]

ADAM PARK:
Welcome to the Power Center...home of the Power Rangers.

[The two look a little unsure of their surroundings.]

MATT SANDOVAL:
We're...ready.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The rangers continue to fire on Exhaustor with the Nitro Buster with little or no effect. Matt and Jake teleport into a nearby area, and commandeer a motorcycle.]

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
Come on...they need us!

[The monster turns his attention to the duo on the motorcycle, and blasts them. The duo then morph by shifting the lever on their Defender Shifters, then pressing a button.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN AND MATT SANDOVAL:
Start Up!

[The duo's suits form just like their Nitro Ranger counterparts' suits as they jump through the blast with the Nitro Case. The Green and Black Defender Rangers stand in front of the three Nitro Rangers.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Jake? Matt? Is that you?

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Yeah, it's us!

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
We brought you the zords!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Excellent!

[Colored explosions erupt behind the quintet, then a massive fiery explosion erupts. The Nitro Rangers then grab their Nitro Casts, which then grow into the Nitrozords, and the Nitro Megazord is formed as the two Defender Rangers watch.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Let's turn off his tap!

[Exhaustor tries to pollute the megazord, but the Victory Shield is used to deflect the attack. The monster then uses his flex-pipe "and" to lasso the left leg of the megazord, which sends it flying into the ridge, and severely damages it.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
The bridge!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
We got to let the cars pass!

RED NITRO RANGER:
Got it!

[The megazord moves into position to let cars pass over it's "collar-bone." Once the cars stop crossing, Exhaustor uses his "arms" to whip the megazord.]

EXHAUSTOR:
Whip it...whip it good!

[The whipping makes the megazord spark, and the rangers react.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Let's whip him...Nitro Sword!

[The megazord moves away from the bridge just as Exhaustor damages it even more as a car stops just in time...it is teetering. Inside is a female adult and her male child.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
(noticing the car)
Matt, look! They're in trouble!

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Let's go!

[The two Defender Rangers run towards the bridge as Exhaustor sprays the megazord to make it spark. The two Defender Rangers leap up to the car and free the two occupants, then get them to safety as the car falls off into the water below.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Grand Prix!

[The megazord races toward the monster.]

EXHAUSTOR:
I'm all washed up!

[The megazord performs it's finisher, which destroys Exhaustor, who disperses into bubbles.]

INT.-MECANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The three generals reel from another defeat.]

METALIA:
(opening a bottle of motor oil and downing it, then hiccups)
Not...(hic) again (hic)!

[Metalia finishes off the bottle, and wipes the excess from her mouth.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The mother and son wave good-bye to the two Defender Rangers as the three Nitro Rangers exit the megazord and land on the ground...the five rangers celebrate before returning to the Power Center.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Ryder, Brandon, and Keiko stand in a row across from Jake and Matt, who are standing side-by-side. Adam and Alpha stand between them.]

ADAM PARK:
Jake...Matt...welcome to the team.

MATT SANDOVAL:
Thank you.

RYDER SWANSON:
Come on, guys!

[All five come together and stack their right hands as Adam and Alpha watch proudly.]

ALPHA SIX:
Ah, just like old times...huh, Adam?

ADAM PARK:

(as they break formation)

I am already working on the first original episode script (a two-parter) that will premiere around the 10th episode. There promises to be two surprises...a new recurring character, and a (special guest) character from the past.

I am also in the extreme preliminary stages of gathering information and working on a plot for the end of the season...it'll be that big, and exciting. Hello PRND fans!

Well, due to a new scheduling conflict coming up, starting this Saturday, I will have to bump the posting dates back to Friday nights (starting tonight), just like last year, but this time, postin will be at about 7:30pm Pacific Time (10:00pm Eastern)

See, we had to run errands on Friday afternoons, since it was the only day that my mom, sis, and I had time...so when it came time to posting, I was so tired on Friday nights. So, I thought moving to Saturday afternoons would be good. Well, "Errand Day" has now changed to Saturday afternoons, so I will have to return to the Friday Night post schedule for at least the time being. If this changes again, I will let everyone know.

Adam...when can I see the Power Center?

ADAM PARK:
Well...we can go now.

[The two go into a secluded area of the establishment to teleport out.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Adam and Chloe teleport in. Adam shows her around the base. Meanwhile, Alpha is showing Jake and Matt the ropes.]

ALPHA SIX:
And this is our computer system, Global...the most sophisticated computer on the planet.

[All of a sudden, Global's sensor alarms ring out, and alert everyone to trouble in the forest nearby.]

MATT SANDOVAL:
(into his Defender Shifter)
Ryder...trouble in the forest near the base...we'll meet you there. (turning to Jake) Let's go!

EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[The two teleport in followed by the core three shortly thereafter. The quintet start to investigate.]

RYDER SWANSON:
So, what are we looking for?

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Global's sensors detected alien activity in this area.

KEIKO OGAWA:
Machine Empire?

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Of course it would be them. (pauses to look around) Well, it's too quiet out here.

[All of a sudden, an explosion rocks the area, sending smoke into the air.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The explosion rocks the base. Adam, Chloe, and Alpha take cover as dust is knocked to the floor from the rafters, and the lights flicker. A few seconds later, the shaking stops]

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi! That was wild!

ADAM PARK:
Everyone okay?

CHLOE WILCOX:
Was that an earthquake?

ALPHA SIX:
Global says that it was a blast.

ADAM PARK:
Since we're in a mountain, quakes are magnified.

EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[The five are covered in debris, but quickly dig out and recover. Suddenly Gearoids dig out of the ground as well, and confront the quintet.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Gearoids!

RYDER SWANSON:
I'd say we wreck their day!

[The quintet ready their morphers, and insert their Nitro Cells.]

ALL:
Start Up!

[The suits form over the quintet.]

ALL RANGERS:

Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders! Let's Go!

[The rangers battle the Gearoids in hand-to-hand combat. The Red Ranger un-holsters his Nitrolizer, and inserts his Super Nitro Cell. The Black Ranger tries to use his, but without a Super Nitro Cell, it won't work.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Matt...our Nitrolizers won't work without a Super Nitro Cell.

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
(as a Gearoid approaches)
Oh, yes it will!

[The Black Ranger pistol-whips a Gearoid, who then falls.]

See?

[The three Nitro Rangers continue to battle the Gearoids. Meanwhile, the Black Ranger senses something deeper in the woods.]

Jake...I'm sensing something in the woods...it's about a hundred yards away.

[The Black Ranger starts running into the woods, followed soon after by the Green Ranger.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
(running after the Black Ranger through the underbrush)
Hey! Wait for me!

[Deeper in the forest, the two Defender Rangers get down on their hands and knees, and put their ears to the ground.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Do you hear that, Jake?

[A Machine Beast, with shovels for a head, and hands is digging a tunnel.]

Let's use our weapons...

[The two press the "G" symbol on their belt buckles to activate their Nitro Gear...a green axe, and a black blaster.]

...Canine Taser!

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Axe!

[The two rangers use their Nitro Gear to fire at the ground to force the Machine Beast to the surface.]

DIGGER:
Hello, boys! It's Digger!

[Digger blasts the duo.]

Can you dig it!?

[The three Nitro Rangers leap in, and blast Digger with their Nitrolizers.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Rush Attack!

DIGGER:
Sand Storm!

[Digger shovels dirt to cover the trio.]

Bye-bye!

[Digger digs a hole, and escapes as the Nitro Rangers dig out.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
(running to the trio with the Black Ranger to help them)
Are you guys okay!?

RED NITRO RANGER:
(looking towards the hole)
No...I can't dig it!

[The villains talk.]

YOGO:
Just a few weeks into this campaign, and I am officially ticked off! It's time to declare war on the Earth civilization!

[The other two generals agree.]

EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[Later in the day, Jake and Matt prepare to repel down the hole left by Digger.]

MATT SANDOVAL:
We gotta see what Digger is up to.

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
Right...Alpha's using our morphers to take readings. Let's go.

[The two repel down. Jake sees the tunnel.]

Matt...look!

[The two gaze at the tunnel's length in shock and awe.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The core team teleports into the base.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Alpha...have you seen Jake and Matt? We can't find them anywhere!

ADAM PARK:
(entering the room)
They went to explore the tunnel that Digger dug.

EXT.-FOREST-UNDERGROUND-DAY
[Still underground, Jake and Matt walk through the long tunnel, until they hear a voice and some strange noises from ahead...they belong to Digger and some Gearoids, who are in an open cave area. The Gearoids are placing and activating spikes into the ground. The duo watch for a minute or two before charging in.]

DIGGER:
(surprised)
Rangers!

MATT SANDOVAL:
That's us...

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
...Don't wear it out!

[The two battle the Gearoids for a bit.]

BOTH:
(preparing their Defender Shifters)
Start Up!

[The suits form over the duo, and they continue to battle the Gearoids, and Digger. The Green Ranger flies up to some scaffolding to take on three Gearoids as the Black Ranger battles Digger. The Green Ranger flips off of the scaffolding, performing three flips as he comes down.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Axe!

[The Green Ranger lands with his axe, and slices the control console.]

DIGGER:
You'll pay for that! Sand Storm!

[Digger tries to bury the two, but they are able to leap up into the air.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Canine Taser!

[The Black Ranger blasts Digger, and makes him spark. The duo lands on the ground (as does Digger) who then recovers to blast them with his shovel hands to cause a small cave-in.]

DIGGER:
You two are pathetic! You don't even know what I'm up to!

[Digger departs as the two Defender Rangers dig out and recover.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The three core team members relax as Keiko does some research on the computer.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Hey guys...look what I found on the 'net! The new plaza is being dedicated today!

EXT.-FOREST-UNDERGROUND-DAY
[The two un-morph and try to figure out what to do next.]

BOTH:
Shutdown!

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Now what, Matt?

MATT SANDOVAL:
We follow him.

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
How?

MATT SANDOVAL:
With good old fashion detective work...what's going on in the city today?

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
The new office plaza...it's being dedicated. There'll be important people there!

MATT SANDOVAL:
Good work, Jake...let's go!

EXT.-CITY-PLAZA-DAY
[A crowd gathers as city officials dedicate the plaza. The core three watch from a distance.]

SPEAKER:
Thank you...this new plaza will...

[The speaker's speech goes inaudible as the trio discuss their plan.]

RYDER SWANSON:
We'll watch over the festivities...just in case.

[Suddenly, Digger blasts through the ground in front of the stage, and emerges. The crowd runs away in fear.]

ALL THREE:
(preparing their morphers)
Start Up!

[The suits form over the trio. They then jump in to confront the Machine Beast.]

DIGGER:
You three pests again!? Where are your two friends? Oh, yeah! I crushed them in a cave-in! Ha-ha-ha! Gearoids!

[The three Nitro Rangers look concerned...until their two teammates leap out of the hole.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Hey, can't start the party without us!

ALL RANGERS:
(posing)
Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders! Let's Go!

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Nitrolizers!

BOTH DEFENDER RANGERS:
Nitro Gear!

[The rangers use their weapons against Digger and the Gearoids. Digger digs up a huge piece of concrete, and hurls it at the quintet, who quickly dodge the boulder.]

RED NITRO RANGERS:
Matt...combo attack?

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
You're on!

[The Red and Black Rangers try a combination attack...the Black Ranger lays on his back, and sticks his feet up in the air so the Red Ranger can launch off of them to knock Digger back.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Nitro Gear!

[The three press the "G" on their belt buckles, which activate the weapons. Once the weapons materialize from the chest logos, the trio combine them to form the Nitro Buster.]

Nitro Buster!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Inserting Super Nitro Cell!

[The cannon powers up.]

ALL NITRO RANGER:
Fire!

[Dagger falls down, and the Banki Energy courses through his body. Digger then recovers and grows.]

DIGGER:
(as he grows)
Can you dig me now!?

RED NITRO RANGERS:
(into his Nitro Morpher)
Alpha...we need the zords!

[The Nitro Casts appear in the Nitro Rangers' hands. The trio insert their Super Nitro Cells to activate the zords. Once the zords are grown, the rangers get in, and form the megazord.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Nitro Sword!

[The two Defender Rangers watch as the megazord and Digger go blade-to-spade.]

DIGGER:
Sand Storm!

[Digger tries to bury the megazord.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Victory Shield!

[The Megazord uses it's shield against Digger. The megazord then leaps into the air with the sword in it's right hand, and the shield in the left, and slices Digger's hand-spades off as it lands.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Time to dig your own grave...

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
...Grand Prix!

[The megazord performs it's finisher to destroy the Machine Beast. The quintet then celebrate.]

[The three villains vow to continue the fight and let off some steam.]

[The five young adults congregate in the base.]

Good job as alway, rangers...well done!

[Suddenly, Global's sensors detect two unknown items approaching Earth. The five jump to attention.]

Aye-yi-yi!

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
What's going on?

RYDER SWANSON:
Those two blips are approaching Earth. We have to be ready for whatever they are.

EXT.-OUTER SPACE-NIGHT
[Two vehicles speed towards Earth...a green orca-shaped motorcycle, and a dog-shaped police car.]

I am posting the episode early so I can watch WWE Smackdown! later this evening. I would like to start off this week's episode by saying thank you for all the good reviews...they do mean a lot. Secondly, I have decided that there will not be a traditional team-up for this season...I am saving that for something special for the end of the season that I have begun to work on in between each Nitro Defender episode. Here is this week's episode...

[Two vehicles speed towards Earth...a green orca-shaped motorcycle, and a dog-shaped police car.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-NIGHT
[At sunrise, the young adults, Adam, and Alpha continue to watch the two blips approach Earth.]

ADAM PARK:
Alpha...any idea of what they are?

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi! Wait a second! I'm detecting VehAni energies!

RYDER SWANSON:
We better get out there.

ADAM PARK:
Be careful, guys...we have to assume that the Machine Empire is detecting them too.

ALPHA SIX:
Global has projected their landing area...Angel Grove Pines.

RYDER SWANSON:
Let's go guys!

[The five young adults teleport out of the base.]

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The villains are following the arriving blips as well.]

YOGO:
Those two things are carrying VehAni energy signatures!

METALIA:
I'll have one of our Machine Beasts ready for them...Aerocide!

[A white spray bottle-like being emerges from the chamber.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Two streaks of light (one green, one purplish) hit a nearby mountain.]

EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[The five young adults look for the fallen VehAni. Matt and Ryder split of from Brandon, Keiko, and Jake. About a minute later, Ryder and Matt look around, and Matt locates his black Super Nitro Cell, and puts it into his Defender Shifter.]

CANINE:
Have you found Orca, yet?

MATT SANDOVAL:
Not that I know of. Our friends are searching for him right now.

EXT.-FOREST-QUARRY-DAY
[Elsewhere, the three others locate Orca just as he transforms into a Super Nitro Cell and a Nitro Cast. Jake puts the cell into his Defender Shifter to talk to Orca.]

ORCA:
Thank you. Now...retrieve my Nitro Cast, please.

AEROCIDE:
(picking up Orca's cast)
Hello, rangers! Looking for this!?

[Aerocide sprays is acid spray toward the trio, but he hits a rock as the rangers dodge the acid. The trio look at the rock decaying. The Machine Beast tries to use is acid to destroy the cast, but hits his wrist instead. The three laugh.]

I'll teach you!

[The Machine Beast blasts the three, but they insta-morph just in time. The three engage Aerocide in hand-to-hand combat.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Ryder and Matt look or Canine's cast, and come across a group of kids...one has the cast.]

RYDER SWANSON:
(trying to act cool)
Here...let me handle this.

MATT SANDOVAL:
(smirking)
Go right ahead.

[Ryder tries to persuade the kid to hand over the "toy car."]

RYDER SWANSON:
Excuse me...

KID:
(yelling)
Ah! A stranger!

[The kids run away. Matt continues to smirk at Ryder.]

RYDER SWANSON:
What's so funny!?

MATT SWANSON:
I taught those kids two months ago about stranger dangers.

[Meanwhile, back at the quarry, the three rangers continue to battle Aerocide.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Power Punch!

[The Green Rangers' cuffs spin as he delivers a powerful punch. Aerocide goes down. The Blue and Yellow Rangers un-holster their Nitrolizers and insert their Super Nitro Cells, then open fire on the Machine Beast. Orca's cast goes flying. The rangers try to get it, but are blasted by Metalia. Aerocide stands between the rangers and the cast.]

METALIA:
You rangers are pathetic!

[Metalia picks up the cast as she laughs.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
No, way!

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Give him back!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Yeah! It's not yours, you old lady!

METALIA:
(steaming with her face turning red)
How dare you!

[Metalia starts to overload as Aerocide tries to calm her down. The Green Ranger leaps up to Confront Metalia.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Give that back!

METALIA:
You want something? How 'bout a whipping!?

[Metalia uses her whip against the Green Ranger as Aerocide sprays the Blue and Yellow Rangers...they go down in blue energy bolts as the acid foam fries their suits.]

AEROCIDE:
(going after the two rangers with his broom staff)
Clean-up time!

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Ryder and Matt tail the kids who have Canine's cast.]

EXT.-QUARRY-DAY
[Metalia continues to attack the Green Ranger with her whip as the other two are eaten by Aerocide's broom staff.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Axe!

[Before the Green Ranger can use his weapon, Metalia releases hot steam in his ace. Aerocide swings his broom to knock the other two rangers down.]

AEROCIDE:
Batter up!

[Suddenly, Aerocide is blasted by someone. The rangers look up to a rock formation to see the Red Ranger with his un-holstered Nitrolizer.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
I see you guys have your hands full!?

[The Red Ranger jumps down to join the others. The three call on their Nitro Gear by pressing the "G" symbol on their belt buckles.]

Condor Blade!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Lionizer!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Bear Pellet!

METALIA:
(seeing the Nitro Gear wielding rangers)
Oh, no!

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Oh, yes!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Bear Striker!

[The Yellow Ranger sends the Bear Pellet to multi-strike Aerocide.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Lion Maul!

[The Blue Ranger blasts Aerocide.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Road Slash!

[The Red Ranger slices Aerocide to knock him down.]

Nitro Buster time!

[The Three Nitro Rangers combine their weapons to form the Nitro Buster.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Fire!

[Aerocide goes down, cackles in blue energy bolts.]

METALIA:
Aerocide...grow!

[Aerocide grows.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(into his Nitro Morpher)
Alpha...send the zords!

[The three Nitro Casts arrive and grow, then form the Nitro Megazord.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Over a hundred M.E.G.s target the kid right in front of Matt. When he tries to save the kid, several more target him.]

MATT SANDOVAL:
Wha!? Oh, no!

[Matt prepares to morph.]

Start Up!

[The suit forms over Matt.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
(un-holstering his Nitrolizer)
Nitrolizer...insert cell!

[The Black Ranger targets the M.E.G.'s Gearoid pilot.]

CANINE:
Target acquired!

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Fire!

[The blast from the Black Ranger's Nitrolizer hits the Gearoid between the eyes. Seconds later, the M.E.G. crashes.]

KID:
Sir, I think this belongs to you.

[The kid gives the cast to the Black Ranger.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Thanks, kid.

EXT.-QUARRY-DAY
[The Green Ranger is tied up by Metalia's whip, and is being flung around back-and-forth like a rag-doll.]

METALIA:
You're not getting this cast!

[Metalia electrifies her whip to electrocute the Green Ranger.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
(un-holstering his Nitrolizer, and inserts his Super Nitro Cell)
Fire!

[The Green Ranger blasts Metalia, then rushes to take the cast, but she blasts him back as the Black Ranger jumps in.]

METALIA:
Next time, rangers!

[Metalia retreats. The two Defender Rangers show each other their Nitro Casts. They then see that the megazord is having problems against Aerocide and the M.E.G.s.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
They need help, Matt!

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Then, let's help them, Jake!

[The two rangers insert their Super Nitro Cells into the rear of their Nitro Casts. Orca and Canine grow. The two rangers board their zords and get situated. They install their Defender Shifters onto the steering wheels. The
M.E.G.s fire on the two, but they dodge.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Slicer!

[The Defender Orcazord rotates, and slices some M.E.G.s to destroy them.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Canine Blaster!

[The Defender Caninezord blasts some M.E.G.s with it's nose cannon. Meanwhile, the megazord is having problems against Aerocide. The two Defenderzords attack the Machine Beast.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Grand Prix!

[The megazord performs it's finisher to destroy Aerocide. The five rangers and the five zords celebrate.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[At the base, Adam and Alpha are preparing to build something...Alpha is excited.]

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi! This is so exciting, Adam! I can't wait!

ADAM PARK:
I am too, buddy...but not a word of this to anyone else...at least for now. This project has to be top secret.

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The villains sulk in their defeat.]

METALIA:
I almost had that little green motorcycle!

ARGO:
Those rangers are getting stronger...so must we.

YOGO:
I agree!

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[The five young adults walk in and sit at a table in the dojo's cafe.]

CHLOE WILCOX:
(approaching with a platter of five pink smoothies)

FRESNO, CA.-April 1, 2008...Production has been halted on the seventeenth season of "Power Rangers..." "Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders." It's theme was that of animals and vehicles.

"Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders" was led by executive producer, director, and writer Christopher M. Clark; a long-time fan of the franchise.

The episodes posted so far were tough to write, and very taxing on my time.

[It is a busy, sunny day at the dojo. Classes are being taught in three separate areas of the building. Meanwhile, at the counter, a customer finishes his lunch, and pays.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Okay, sir...that'll be four dollars and thirty-two cents.

CUSTOMER #1:
Can I pay with my debit card?

KEIKO OGAWA:
Yes, sir.

[The customer swipes his card, but the machine can't read it.]

CUSTOMER #1:
I don't under stand why it isn't working...but I do have enough cash, through.

[The customer pulls out a five dollar bill from his wallet to pay. Meanwhile, another customer enter while talking on her cell-phone, which un-expectantly dies.]

CUSTOMER #2:
Can you hear me? Hello!?

[The television is on by the counter.]

NEWS ANCHOR:
This is a special report from K-A-G News...there are numerous reports of malfunctions in the nation's electrical systems due to magnetism. NASADA tells us that there are no reports of solar flare activity on the sun at this time. We'll have more information as it becomes available.

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The three Machine Empire generals scheme their next plan.]

METALIA:
So, this planet is being bothered by magnetic problems.

ARGO:
What can be causing it?

YOGO:
Me. I sent a Machine Beast with a magnetic personality to collect the rangers' arsenal, and to collect energy.

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The magnetic activity is causing the base's computers to act up.]

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi!

ADAM PARK:
(entering the base)
Alpha...secure the systems...they should be okay.

ALPHA SIX:
Right!

[Global's alarms ring out, and show the monster on the screen.]

ADAM PARK:
Great...a magnet monster!

ALPHA SIX:
I'm contacting the rangers.

ADAM PARK:
Good idea!

INT.-CITY-CITY HALL-DAY
[A Machine Beast with a large magnet for a head, called CLEPTOMAG uses his magnetic waves to create chaos with people's cell-phones, watches, and other electronic devices. He then attracts a metal sign to send it flying over the heads of the citizens, who flee. The monster then attracts a car through the window, which then crashes and errupts in flames. Outside, Ryder, Brandon, Keiko, and Matt arrive.]

EXT.-CITY-CITY HALL-DAY
[The team sees the destruction that the monster caused.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Look! There he is!

ALL:
(preparing their morphers)
Start Up!

[The suits form over the four young adults.]

Power Rangers!

RED NITRO RANGER:
Nitrolizers!

[The quartet un-holster their siderms, and insert their Super Nitro Cells, but Cleptomag energizes his magnets. The four have a tough time holding onto them.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
His magnet's too strong!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
I don't know how much longer I can hold on!

RED NITRO RANGER:
Guys...I've got an idea!

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The generals are pleased.]

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[Jake arrives for his shift at the juice bar. Chloe approaches him.]

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
Hi, Chloe! Where's everyone?

CHLOE WILCOX:
Look at the T-V.

[Jake sees the news footage of the battle.]

EXT.-CITY-CITY HALL-DAY
[The rangers are still struggling with the electro-waves.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Guys...convert your Nitrolizers to Baton Mode, and fly at him.

ALL:
(converting their weapons)
Right!

[The quartet fly to Cleptomag, and strike him. The monster is defeated for now. Just then, Jake arrives unmorphed.]

Yeah!

RED NITRO RANGER:
Jake! Where were you? Didn't you get the call!?

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Yo, Ryder...chill! It's kinda my fault. I told him to get some rest so he can work the night shift at the dojo.

[The Blue Ranger goes to give Jake a pep talk.]

Shutdown!

[The suit vanishes from Brandon.]

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Hey, Jake...you okay?

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
Yeah...I'll be fine. I've been trying to fit in with you guys so hard.

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
And you're doing fine. Don't worry about Ryder...he didn't know.

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Cleptomag reports to the generals.]

YOGO:
You had them! Metalia...

METALIA:
I think he needs more power.

ARGO:
What'cha thinking?

[Cleptomag enters, then exits the chamber with upgraded components.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Cleptomag returns. He then uses his electromagnetic powers to cause a city-wide blackout.]

EXT.-CITY-DOJO-NIGHT
[The quintet approach the doors when Alpha contacts them.]

voice of ALPHA SIX:
(breaking up)
Rangers...Cleptomag...return...blackout.

[The transmission cuts out.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Brandon...Jake...go to the Power Center...check on things. Everyone else, let's go.

EXT.-CITY-NIGHT
[The rangers arrive on scene and confront Cleptomag. The Blue Ranger arrives.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
I think Jake can handle the Power Center on his own. Let's call on our gear!

[The Red, Blue, and Yellow Rangers bust out their gear, but Cleptomag takes them right out of their hands.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGERS:
Our weapons!

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-NIGHT
[Jake arrives to a darkened base...only emergency lights luminate the room.]

ALPHA SIX:
Jake!

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
Everything okay here?

ALPHA SIX:
Yes. Back-up systems are starting to come online now.

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
Good. I need to get to the battle.

ALPHA SIX:
Jake...the Orca and Canine are able to combine with the Nitro Megazord.

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Thanks for the tip!

[Jake teleports out.]

EXT.-CITY-NIGHT
[The Green Ranger speeds to the battle in a construction vehicle (wrecking ball), only to find his comrades being pulled toward Cleptomag.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Hey, got a present for 'ya!

[The Green Ranger moves the truck into position. Cleptomag tries to attract himself to the wrecking ball, but the Green Ranger releases a cable to send the Machine Beast into a wall, to be sandwiched in between the wall and the ball.]

Ooh! That's gonna leave a mark!

CLEPTOMAG:
(recovering)
Come here, rangers!

[Cleptomag attracts the rangers (except for the Green Ranger) toward him.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Oh, no you don't! Orca Axe!

[The Green Ranger flies ahead with his weapon, and slices the Machine Beast three ways. Cleptomag sparks with blue energy bolts, and falls. The rangers recover.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Screech Of The Condor! Red Nitro Ranger!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Roar Of The Lion! Blue Nitro Ranger!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:

[The already giant zords approach the quintet...they board them.]

Let's take him down!

Right!

[The five zords attack Cleptomag to make him spark.]

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
Nitrozords...combine!

[The Nitro Rangers put their zords into gear to form the megazord.]

Nitro Megazord...Ready To Rumble!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Nitro Sword!

[The compartment on the back leg of the lion opens up, and the sword pops out, and folds out. Before it lands in the right hand of the megazord, the Machine Beast attracts it.]

CLEPTOMAG:
I'll take that!

ALL NITRO RANGERS:
{three-in-one screen}
No, way!

CLEPTOMAG:
(charging the megazord)
How 'bout a taste of your own medicine!?

[Cleptomag uses the Nitro Sword against the megazord, striking it three times in the left arm, damaging it.]

CONDOR:
Ryder...the left arm is out of commission.

RED NITRO RANGER:
(bracing for an impact, annoyed)
Great!

[Cleptomag comes in for another blow, but Orca and Canine come in, and blast the Machine Beast.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Cutter!

[Orca tail slices Cleptomag, and knocks him down.]

Guys...let's combine! Initiate Cycle Mode!

ALL RANGERS (except Black):
Nitro Megazord...Cycle Mode...

[The megazord's left arm folds up, and Orca attaches itself to the shoulder joint.]

...Ready To Rumble!

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
You're going down!

ALL RANGERS (except Black):
Tail Slash!

[The megazord slashes Cleptomag several times. The Machine Beast loses the sword, which flings away and stick into the ground, blade first. Cleptomag falls, and explodes. The Five rangers celebrate in their cockpits.]

ALL RANGERS:
Yeah!

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-NIGHT
[The villains look depressed as another defeat looms over them.]

INT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[As the sun rises on a new day, Adam joins the quintet in the park.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Hey, Adam...Brandon...thanks for the pep talks.

ADAM PARK:
Anytime, Jake.

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Yeah.

ADAM PARK:
You all better go home and get some rest...it's been a long day.

[The sextet enjoy the sunrise as day breaks over the city.]

ALSO...I am going back to the idea of having a PRJF/PRND team-up this season. I thought a end-of-season movie would work, but it'll be too much if I should decide to SR2009/PR2010. Also, in a few weeks is a original two-part episode featuring a veteran ranger in a guest appearance. I am also working on more original episode ideas for later in the season.

For a future PRND original episode, I will use a monster associated with medical/hazardous pollution...Medihaz (of course, this name could be changed later for a more better name).

The episode will feature one of the ranger team members getting hurt, and someone will have to temporarily take over being a ranger...for six weeks.

[The ranger team is in the park, enjoying a nice day. After a bit, Ryder and Keiko go for a walk. Keiko seems a bit down.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Keiko...everything okay?

KEIKO OGAWA:
Sort of...it just seems like I'm stuck in a rut. Being a ranger is great and all, but I don't have time for all the normal stuff...like dating.

[Ryder falls back a bit as Keiko continues at her current pace...it seems that Ryder has a crush on her. Soon, Keiko stops in her tracks as she hears a flute being played. Both investigate, and see an Asian male, named KENJI YOMA playing a two-foot long silver flute.]

Oh, my...he's good!

[A microphone-like item pops out of the bushes, and starts to steal the flute's musical soundwaves. The flute player notices that something is wrong, and looks at his instrument. The suspected individual of the theft makes himself known...LOUDMOUTH...a Machine Beast with a boom-box head, and a body of speakers, talking with a high-pitched squeaky voice.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Static Blast!

[Loudmouth tries to blast the flute player, but Keiko leaps in to save him.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Noooooo!

[Both Keiko and Kenji land on the ground as Ryder morphs off-screen.]

RYDER SWANSON:
(preparing his morpher)
Start Up!

[The Red Ranger is heard in the background battling Loudmouth.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Are you okay, sir?

KENJI YOMA:
Yes...yes...I'm fine...thank you! I'm Kenji...what's your name?

KEIKO OGAWA:
My name is Keiko...look, we should get to safety...come on!

[Keiko purposely gets separated from Kenji and morphs.]

Start Up!

[The suit forms over Keiko. The Yellow Ranger joins the Red Ranger in battling Loudmouth. Kenji watches from behind a tree.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Ah, another one! Well, it still won't be enough to defeat me!

[The two rangers battle Loudmouth, but have a rough time. The Machine Beast then uses his microphone stand-like staff to knock them down.]

Static Blast!

[Loudmouth's soundwaves blast the duo.]

RED NITRO RANGER AND YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(reacting)
Whoa!

[The other three rangers leap in (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers-style) to help their comrades.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
'Bout time you guys showed up!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Hey, better late than never! Here...Alpha created these for us!

[The Blue Ranger holds out his hand revealing five magnetic Audio Mufflers. The five install the devices on the sides of their helmets, and get ready to battle.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Really!?

RED NITRO RANGER:
What!?

LOUDMOUTH:
Squelch Wave!

[Loudmouth blasts the rangers with his own mix of music, but it has no effect on them.]

ALL RANGERS:
(un-holstering their sidearms)
Nitrolizers!

[The team aim their blasters at Loudmouth, and fire.]

Fire!

[Loudmouth goes down...all of his speakers are broken. He struggles to recover, then retreats. The stolen soundwaves return to their origin, including Kenji's flute. Kenji then approaches the rangers.]

KENJI YOMA:
Is it safe, rangers?

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(as she and the others holster their sidearms)
Yes, sir...it's safe.

KENJI YOMA:
I gotta find that girl...she saved me earlier!

[Kenji leaves the area.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Shutdown!

[The suit vanishes from Keiko's body.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
I gotta catch up to him. He might have some tips on defeating the monster. I'll see you guys later.

[Keiko runs to catch up with Kenji as the four remaining rangers watch her leave.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Don't worry, Ry...she can take care of herself.

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Loudmouth reports back to the generals...he is furious!]

LOUDMOUTH:
Those ...those...those rangers! They ruined my precious speakers!

ARGO:
Get over it!

YOGO:
I think he needs an upgrade.

METALIA:
I agree!

[Argo walks Loudmouth to the chamber, the Machine Beast enters, and Argo throws the switch.]

INT.-CITY-RESTAURANT-NIGHT
[Keiko and Kenji sit in a fine dining establishment for dinner.]

EXT.-CITY-RESTAURANT-NIGHT
[Ryder and Matt look through a plate-glass window to spy on Keiko and her "date."

RYDER SWANSON:
I can't tell what they're talking about.

MATT SANDOVAL:
I can...they're talking about earlier...talking about the monster.

RYDER SWANSON:
Are they talking romantically?

MATT SANDOVAL:
Nah...just small-talk...about the monster attack earlier. You have a crush on her, don't 'ya?

RYDER SWANSON:
How'd you? Nevermind. Where'd you learn to read lips?

MATT SANDOVAL:
During my last year at the academy.

RYDER SWANSON:
Come on...let's go.

[The two depart the area.]

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[The next day, the guys are at the juice bar counter when Keiko enters in a happy mood.]

ADAM PARK:
Well, someone's in a good mood.

KEIKO OGAWA:
Yeah, the man I saved yesterday treated me to dinner as a way of saying thanks.

ADAM PARK:
You didn't tell him...

KEIKO OGAWA:
About me being a ranger? No, way!

EXT.-CITY-SHIDAX PLAZA-DAY
[The Machine Beast takes the music from the outdoor sound system and uses it against the citizens, and blows up a building.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Hello, Angel Grove...I'm back, so let's get into the groove!

[Brandon, Jake, and Matt race to the scene, followed shortly by Ryder.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Hey, Loudmouth! You're disturbing the peace!

LOUDMOUTH:
With my beautiful sounds, I deserve an award!

RYDER SWANSON:
I'll give you an award! Ready guys!?

ALL:
(readying their morphers)
Start Up!

[The suits form over the quartet.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Neat trick!

RED NITRO RANGER:
Activate your Audio Mufflers!

[The four activate them.]

LOUDMOUTH:
My turn...Static Blast!

[Loudmouth's soundwaves are able to penetrate the Audio Mufflers. The rangers are blown backward.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(as the four struggle to recover)
That...was brutal!

ALL RANGERS:
Nitrolizers!

[The our rangers un-holster their sidearms, and insert their Super Nitro Cells.]

Fire!

[The lasers from the sidearms blast the Machine Beast.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Nice try! Try my newest mix...Squelch Wave!

[A jumbled group of musical notes are fired at the quartet. The blast knocks them out of morph, and roll on the ground. When they stop rolling, they're on their backs, and clench their chests. The four struggle to recover as the Machine Beast stalks them...he wants to use the four-pointed claw-end of his staff to destroy the un-morphed rangers. He is about to attack, but Keiko arrives to interrupt him.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Turn that racket down!


ALL RANGERS:
Keiko!

LOUDMOUTH:
(turning around to face Keiko)
Any requests?

KEIKO OGAWA:
Sorry...your system is out-dated! You don't play my favorite CD's!

[Keiko prepares her morpher.]

Start Up!

[The suit "flash-forms" over Keiko's body.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(as she un-holsters her sidearm, and inserts her Super Nitro Cell)
How about a taste of my Nitrolizer!?

[The Yellow Ranger gets ready to aim and fire her sidearm at Loudmouth.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Static Blast!

[Loudmouth uses his soundwaves to attack, but the Yellow Ranger dodges, then shoots him in the foot with her Nitrolizer.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Nitro Gear!

[The Yellow Ranger presses the "G" on her belt buckle. Her chest symbol glows to produce her Bear Pellet.]

Bear Pellet! Go on!

[The Yellow Ranger sends her weapon to attack Loudmouth. The Bear Pellet races up and down the Machine Beast's body, making him spark, then makes him roll toward a planter box. While Loudmouth recovers, the Yellow Ranger goes to check on the others.]

You guys okay!?

RYDER SWANSON:
Yeah.

[Ryder sees Loudmouth rapidly recovering.]

ALL:
(preparing to morph)
Start Up!

[The suits "flash-form" over the remaining rangers.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
We've had enough of your bad taste in music!

ALL RANGERS:
(posing)
Power Rangers...Nitro Defenders! Let's Go!

LOUDMOUTH:
Bring it!

ALL RANGERS:
Gladly! Nitro Gear!

[The other four rangers presses the "G" on their belt buckles. The chest symbols glow to produce the weapons.]

Let's bring them together!

NITRO RANGERS:
Nitro Buster!

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Defender Buster!

[The Nitro Rangers and the Defender Rangers stand side-by-side.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER AND BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
(while inserting their Super Nitro Cells)
Inserting Super Nitro Cells!

[The two cannons power up.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Time for you to face the music, Loudmouth!

ALL RANGERS:
Fire!

[The rangers fire the two cannons. The energies combine to knock the Machine Beast off the terrace. The rangers celebrate a bit.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Industrial Revolution!

[The Banki Energy flows through the Machine Beast's body...he grows, then destroys a uilding to the horror of the quintet.]

ALL RANGERS:
Oh, no!

RED NITRO RANGER:
(into his morpher)
Alpha! Send the zords!

voice of ALPHA SIX:
You got it!

[The already grown zords approach the team, who enter them.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(while pressing a couple buttons)
Firing...Mane Missiles!

[The roof-top missile battery opens up, and fires missiles up at the giant Machine Beast, but have little effect.]

NITRO RANGERS:
Nitrozords...Combine!

[The three zords join together to form the megazord.]

Nitro Megazord...Ready To Rumble!

LOUDMOUTH:
So, that's how you wanna play!?

[Loudmouth charges at the megazord, but runs into it's fist instead.]

NITRO RANGERS:
Nitro Sword!

[The sword emerges from it's compartment on the back of the leg, unfolds, and lands in the megazord's right hand.]

Victory Shield!

LOUDMOUTH:
Static Blast!

[Loudmouth's attack is powerful enough to make the megazord go down, despite it trying to use the shield to block it.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(yelling into his morpher)
Remind me to get my hearing checked!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(yelling)
What!?

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(yelling)
Huh!?

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
(reaching into the case to pull his cast)
Canine...let's go!

[The Black Ranger inserts his Super Nitro Cell into Canine.]

Cast Off!

[The Canine cast leaps off of the Black Ranger's arm and grows. The megazord, covered in debris tries to recover. Loudmouth charges at the megazord with his staff. Canine rushes in, and blasts the Machine Beast.]

(the Black Ranger flips switches)
Canine Blaster!

[Loudmouth's staff gets blasted, and goes flying. Canine fires again as the megazord kicks the Machine Beast to buy some time for it to get up.]

Defender Caninezord...Combine!

[Canine's rear axel detaches, and re-attaches to the roof to form a sniper scope, then the zord attaches onto the right shoulder joint as the right arm folds up.]

ALL (except Green):
Nitro Patrol Meazord...Ready To Rumble!

[The megazord aims the blaster at Loudmouth.]

LOUDMOUTH:
Static Blast!

BLACK NITRO RANGER:
Nitro Blast!

[Both sides fire at each other, but the yellow energy pellets from the megazord overpower the soundwaves from the Machine Beast, who sparks, and collapses to his knees.]

ALL (except Green):
Target locked!

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
I've gotcha in my sights!

ALL (except Green):
Nitro Blast...Target Shot!

[The megazord fires about six energy bullets, to make Loudmouth cackle in red energy bolts, then explodes. The megazord holds the "smoking gun" to it's mouth and blows the smoke away. The rangers celebrate.]

ALL RANGERS:
Yeah!

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The generals are mad as usual.]

YOGO:
Another failure!

METALIA:
(drinking)
Told 'ya!

YOGO:
Well then...you're up next! Destroy them!

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The team is getting their hearing checked by Chloe on advice from Adam.]

CHLOE WILCOX:
(to Adam)
Well, the good news is no permanent damage to their hearing. Although, the ringing in their heads will stop in a few hours.]

[The five are on infirmary tables (sitting on the edge) trying to clear their heads.]

ADAM PARK:
And the bad news?

CHLOE WILCOX:
I won't have any counter help at the dojo for the after-school rush.

ND-9 through 11 will feature a face from the ranger past who comes to help the team for a few weeks. But a plan is in the works in 10 & 11 for Adam to take a back-seat in the mentorship role. The latter two episodes will feature a new combo for the Nitro Megazord, that'll have a great finisher...the "Defender Slam."

Plans for later in the season...Red Ranger will get injured (broken foot) during an un-morphed battle, and will have to temporarily give up his powers to a substitute ranger in a six-part story arc that will lead up to the probable sixth ranger debut.

Also, I am working on the preliminary story for a new series for 2009, that will be at least 85% original, with little influence from the 2009 Sentai series. So, due to this, there may NOT be a traditional finale for PRND.

[A compressor tank-like Machine Beast is running through some underground tunnels, once used for irrigation from something with blue eyes.]

[At dawn, Global detects the two beings.]

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi! Global...what are those!?

GLOBAL:
One detected is of Machine Empire design.

ALPHA SIX:
A Machine Beast! And the other one?

GLOBAL:
Unknown. Sensors cannot identify.

ALPHA SIX:
I'm contacting Adam.

[Alpha presses a few buttons.]

voice of ADAM PARK:
(sounding tired)
Go ahead, Alpha?

ALPHA SIX:
There are two beings detected under the city...one is a Machine Beast!

voice of ADAM PARK:
I'm on my way. Don't contact the rangers just yet...continue tracking them.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Later in the morning, the un-morphed rangers are the park near a radio tower. Suddenly, the upper two-thirds of the tower rapidly rusts and falls over.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
(noticing the tower)
Guys! Look!

RYDER SWANSON:
There's got to be people over there...let's go!

[The rangers {who insta-morphed off-screen} arrive on scene, and immediately start helping the citizens. There is a orange-ish hue of rusted iron in the air.]

HANNAH:
Mom!

[Hannah starts running toward her mother.]

HANNAH'S MOTHER:
(with a blood-curdling yell)
Hannah!

[Hannah trips and falls is the sand (she is not injured). Parts of the tower start to fall around her.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Hannah!

[The Black Ranger gets ready to fire his Nitrolizer, but the Green Ranger uses his Nitrolizer in Baton Mode to slice the debris away, then checks on the mother and daughter.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Are you two okay!?

[In the background, the two citizens tank the Green Ranger, then leave the area while the Blue Ranger investigates the rust on the girders.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Hey, Ryder! Come check this out!

RED NITRO RANGER:
What is it, Brandon?

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
This rust is peculiar...it does not appear to be real rust.

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
It's got to be the work of the Machine Empire.

[The Red Ranger's morpher beeps.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(into his morpher)
Go for Ryder...

voice of ALPHA SIX:
Rangers...the two beings have split up.

RED NITRO RANGER:
(into his morpher)
Beings?

voice of ALPHA SIX:
Global detected them this morning.

[The Nitro Rangers and Defender Rangers split up as the city's emergency services arrive. Un-Morphed, the three Nitro Rangers see another tower go to rust and fall apart.]

EXT.-CITY-PARK-LAKE-DAY
[The two un-morphed Defender Rangers investigate activity near the lake. Bored, Jake skips a rock into the lake. A minute or so later, a huge being leaps out of the water, showering the two with lots of water.]

BOTH:
(both gasp in shock, then prepare their morphers)
Start Up!

[The suits form over the duo.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
(into his morpher)
Alpha...we need the zords!

[The zord case is teleported to the Defender Rangers. Both remove their casts from it, insert their Super Nitro Cells.]

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Cast Off!

[The zords leap off their arms, and grow. Both rangers get in.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
What is that thing!? It's huge!

CANINE:
Orca and I are detecting VehAni energies!

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
It's a zord!?

ORCA:
Not just any VehAni...it's Gator from the legendary Gear Clan of Legendary VehAni warriors!

CANINE:
He's a wild one!

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Let's tame that gator!

EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[A large, long orange VehAni moves through the trees. Canine blasts at it, but it charges both zords as they take defensive maneuvers.]

CANINE:
(trying to talk some sense into Gator)
Gator..listen...

[Gator barrels right through them causing sparks.]

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[Ryder, Brandon, and Keiko wonder what to do next as they stand near the Carrington Fountain. Suddenly, the Machine Beast, TANKOR leaps out of the fountain.

TANKOR:
I'm Tankor! Looking for me!?

[The three un-morphed Nitro Rangers prepare to battle Tankor.]

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The generals prepare to watch the battle on their viewscreen.]

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The three un-morphed Nitro Rangers face Tankor.]

TANKOR:
Gearoids!

[The two dozen robotic soldiers materialize from the ground.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Come on, guys!

[The trio battle the Gearoids while un-morphed. After a couple few minutes, the trio re-groups, and ready their morphers.]

ALL:
Start Up!

[The suits "flash-form" over the trio.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Screech Of The Condor! Red Nitro Ranger!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Roar Of The Lion! Blue Nitro Ranger!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(posing)
Growl Of The Bear! Yellow Nitro Ranger!

ALL:
(posing, then charging)
Power Rangers!

[The Nitro Rangers continue to battle the Gearoids.]

EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[Gator continues to harass Orca and Canine.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Canine Blaster!

[Canine fires four blasts at Gator, but he charges through, and chomps on Canine's snout.]

GATOR:
Stop it!

[Canine sparks as the Green Ranger and Orca try to help. Gator then side-swipes Orca, then tosses Canine around.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Canine Blaster!

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Slicer!

[As the two zords try their attacks, Gator flings them away.]

CANINE AND ORCA:
Gator!

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The Nitro Rangers continue to battle Tankor and the Gearoids.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(un-holstering and loading his sidearm)
Nitrolizer! Baton Mode!

[The Red Ranger uses his Nitrolizer against the Gearoids. A single Gearoid tries to use it's sword against the Red Ranger, but gets sliced. The other two ranger use their Nitrolizers in Blaster Mode to destroy some Gearoids.]

NITRO RANGERS:
(as they press the "G" symbol on their belt buckles)
Nitro Gear!

[The chest logos glow as the weapons materialize.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(while swinging the sword)
Condor Blade!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(as he puts the cannon on his right shoulder)
Lionzooka!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
(as she puts the weapon on her left arm)
Bear Pellet!

[The rangers use their weapons to defeat the remaining Gearoids...the Blue Ranger fires the Lionzooka, the Yellow Ranger sends the Bear Pellet to attack, and the Red Ranger uses his Condor Blade to defeat the Gearoids. The three rangers then turn their attention towards Tankor.]

TANKOR:
Ah, you're all full of hot air!

NITRO RANGERS:
(as they combine their Nitro Gear)
Nitro Buster!

[The Yellow Ranger inserts her Super Nitro Cell.]

Fire!

[A blast is fired at Tankor, who is pushed back into the fountain's top, then drops into the basin.]

Yeah!

[After releasing Banki Energy in his Industrial Revolution, Tankor grows.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
(into his morpher)
Nitrozords!

[The three rangers hold out their open palms as the casts appear. They insert their Super Nitro Cells.]

NITRO RANGERS:
Cast Off!

[The three casts leap off of the hands, and grow. The rangers board their zords.]

Nitrozords...Combine!

[The three zords combine to form the megazord.]

Nitro Megazord...Ready To Rumble!

[The megazord punches Tankor, who reels back. Tankor then charges at the megazord, but stops short, and runs back.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Huh!?

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
What's he doing!?

RED NITRO RANGER:
Look like he's gonna fire!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Nitro Sword!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Victory Shield!

TANKOR:
Rust Beam!

[Tankor fires a red beam at the megazord. The shield tries to block it, but some rust splatters and spreads over the megazord components.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
That rust is spreading fast! Abandon...

[Before the rangers can escape, they are thrown out. They land on the ground and de-morph with their rusted casts landing nearby.]

TANKOR:
Aww...did I hurt your megazord!?

EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[Gator continues to bother Canine and Orca.]

GATOR:
What are you two doing!?

CANINE:
The Machine Empire attacked Machia...turned it into a polluted wasteland...

ORCA:
...And now they're here...on Earth

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
That's right. Condor, Lion, and Bear came here and chose three humans to help them...

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
...then Orca and Canine arrived and we partnered up with them. All of us humans became Power Rangers.

[Gator doesn't listen, and resumes his attacks.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Look! The rangers and you VehAni are working together to repel the Machine Empire!

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The three un-morphed Nitro Rangers grab their casts.]

TANKOR:
Aww! Poor 'lil rangers! I hurted your 'lil toys! (laughs)

[Tankor tries to step on the trio, but they quickly move out of the way.]

ALL:
Whoa!

EXT.-FOREST-DAY
[Gator relents.]

GATOR:
Okay. That thing I was chasing...it's a Machine Beast.

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
...And our friends are battling it in the city right now.

GATOR:
Well then...hop on and let's go!

[Canine and Orca get on top of Gator, and depart for the city.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Tankor stalks the trio.]

RYDER SWANSON:
What's that noise?

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
It's Jake and Matt!

[The three generals see the three other zords.]

METALIA:
Since when did they get a new zord!?

ARGO:
(pressing some buttons)
Tankor! Rust 'em!

YOGO:
Release the M.E.G.s!

[Several hundred M.E.G.s are released from their hangars.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The M.E.G.s flood the sky, and swarm the three zords. Orca and Canine leap off of Gator's back and use the Orca Slicer and the Canine Blaster to quickly take care of them. Gator races through the street to chomp down on six
M.E.G.s.]

GATOR:
Mmm! M.E.G.s are my favorite food! Of course, so is everything else!

[The un-morphed Nitro Rangers are pleased, but Tankor isn't.]

Jake...Matt...we need to combine!

GREEN DEENDER RANGER:
You have a megazord function!?

GATOR:
Yes...Initiate the Defender Megazord.

DEFENDER RANGERS AND GATOR:
Defenderzords...Combine!

[The Orca and Canine attach to the sides of Gator after he forms the rest of the body.]

Defender Megazord...Ready To Rumble!

[The megazord stares down Tankor. Ryder then calls up to the Defender Rangers using his morpher.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Guys...watch out for his hands...one of them fires a laser beam that rusted our zords!

voice of BLACK DEFENDER RANER:
Thanks for the tip, Ryder...we'll be on guard.

[Tankor runs toward the megazord, then stops short and runs back. The Machine Beast tries to attack.]

TANKOR:
Rust Beam!

[The megazord moves out of the way.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Canine Blaster!

[The megazord uses Canine to fire several energy pellets at Tankor.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Cutter!

[The megazord uses Orca's tail to slice Tankor three times.]

Orca Storm!

[The Orca spins around to produce a horizontal tornado to knock Tankor down.]

GATOR:
Time to finish him off!

DEFENDER RANGERS AND GATOR:
Defender...Grand Prix!

[Gator's mouth opens. The megazord uses Canine then Orca to slash, then Gator chomps.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
You're outta gas!

[The megazord turns around as Tankor falls and explodes.]

ALL:
Yeah!

[On the ground, the quintet continue to celebrate.]

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Shutdown!

[The suits vanish from Jake and Matt's body. Gator then reverts to cast form...Matt picks him up.]

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
(stroking Gator's snout)
Aww, he's so cute.

MATT SANDOVAL:
(holding up Gator's cell and cast)
Looks like we got a new ally.

RYDER SWANSON:
That's great...because our three casts are out of commission. We better get back to the Power Center...see if Adam can do anything.

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Later in the day, the three rusted casts sit on a work table.]

RYDER SWANSON:
(as Adam and Alpha scan the casts)
Anything yet, guys?

ADAM PARK:
No...I haven't seen anything like this before. I may have to call in a favor.

MATT SANDOVAL:
In the meantime, Jake and I will handle the zord fights.

[The team looks down at the rusted casts with a depressed look on their faces.]

"The Greatest Miracle"
The giant Drillobit attacks the city until the rangers arrive, then, the Machine Beast burrows its drill underground and enters a sleep mode. Meanwhile, a familiar face from the past arrives in time to help repair the primary zord casts.

[The team, feeling tired and a bit down, cleans up the dojo after closing. They discuss the last battle.]

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Man! With our zords down, what are we gonna do if they go big?

KEIKO OGAWA:
I don't know, Brandon...I don't know.

[Adam enters the main floor area from his office.]

ADAM PARK:
I called up an old friend for a favor...he'll be here tomorrow. Let's all go home and get some sleep. It's been a long day...and tomorrow's gonna be even longer.

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[The next day, Ryder pre-occupies his mind by helping Adam teach a class, as Matt teaches a self-defense class nearby. The other three work the juice bar counter. A man, viewed from the back, enters the dojo, and takes in the familiar surroundings before approaching the counter.]

MAN:
Excuse me...is Adam Park here?

KEIKO OGAWA:
(pointing out Adam)
Yes, sir...he's right over there.

[The man turns to look, and sees Adam.]

MAN:
Thank you.

[The man walks to the area where Adam and Ryder are teaching. At the counter, the three staff members wonder about the man.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
I wonder if that's the guy who Adam called last night?

[The man arrives at the mat, and greets Adam...the two trade a handshake and a hug as they reunite.]

ADAM PARK:
Class...this is a good friend of mine...he and I have been through some rough times together...this is...

{The camera pans around to the front of the man to reveal is identity.}

...Doctor William Cranston...a biology teacher at Angel Grove High. Class...I'll see you next time...dismissed.

[Adam dismisses the class, and escorts Billy into his office, and shuts the door. Ryder goes to the counter to talk to the others, is inquires about Billy.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Who is that guy? Is he the one that Adam called?

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
We think so.

[Chloe overhears the conversation as Matt joins in. Chloe explains who the man is.]

CHLOE WILCOX:
His name is Doctor William Cranston...a biology teacher at the high school. To his friends and family, he goes by Billy...and...he's a former Power Ranger.

[The mention of Billy being a former ranger perks up the ears of the quintet.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Whoa!

[The ground begins to shake...another Machine Beast is on the loose.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Let's go, guys!

[The five employees leave the dojo for the battle.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[A giant-sized green drilling machine (DRILLOBIT) is terrorizing the citizens as they flee in fear. The five un-morphed rangers race through the streets, and arrive to confront the beast.]

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
That dude's huge!

RYDER SWANSON:
Come on, guys...we better ranger up!

ALL:
(taking out and preparing their morphers)
Start Up!

{Five-in-one screen of the suits forming}

Power Rangers!

[Drillobit sees the rangers and falls to his knees and goes to sleep. The rangers are dumbfounded.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Now what!?

[The three generals teleport in, and land on a catwalk above the rangers.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
You had to ask.

YOGO:
Hello, power pests!

[The five rangers turn around to face the three generals.]

Meet your doom!

[Yogo fires a blast at the rangers from his staff. The rangers fall, and struggle to recover as the generals leap down to the ground.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Nitrolizers!

[The five un-holster their sidearms, and insert their Super Nitro Cells. The rangers then convert their weapons to Baton Mode, and charge at the generals.]

METALIA:
So, that's how you wanna play!?

[The three generals blast the rangers, create sparks. The rangers then battle the three...the Red and Black Rangers battle Yogo...the Blue and Green Rangers battle Argo...and the Yellow Ranger battle Metalia. The villains gain the upper hand, and the rangers do not fare so well.]

ALL RANGERS:
(while pressing the "G" symbol on their belt buckles)
Nitro Gear!

[The chest logos glow while the weapons materialize.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Condor Blade!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Lionzooka!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Bear Pellet!

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Axe!

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Canine Taser!

NITRO RANGERS:
(while combining their gear)
Nitro Buster!

DEFENDER RANGERS:
(while combining their gear)
Defender Buster!

ALL RANGERS:
Fire!

[The generals repel the dual blasts. The generals then put their weapons together to fire a blast from their weapons...the rangers are literally blown away.]

ARGO:
And I thought they were the Power Rangers!?

[The three generals laugh at the rangers' defeat.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-NIGHT
[The battered and bruised rangers retreat to the base and recover while un-morphed. Ryder takes the loss hard.]

RYDER SWANSON:
(angerly)
Aargh! We lost! I can't believe we were defeated!

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Calm down, Ryder! We haven't faced the three generals all together before.

KEIKO OGAWA:
He's right.

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Alpha...is Gator re-charged yet?

ALPHA SIX:
I'm afraid not. With his size and power, he takes longer.

[The three un-morphed Nitro Rangers sit at a table to use a solvent to try and get rid of the rust on their casts...it as little effect.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Ah, it's no use!

[Ryder throws his rag onto the table in disgust, and gets up.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Don't give up, Ryder...our casts need us.

[Adam and Billy teleport in.]

ADAM PARK:
Guys...Billy's gonna help us out here for a bit.

[Billy goes to the base's computer, and starts to work on a way to repair the damaged zords.]

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
We're gonna stay for a bit longer, then go get some sleep.

ADAM PARK:
Very well. Jake...Matt...are you two up for a stakeout?

MATT SANDOVAL:
(eagerly)
Yes!

EXT.-CITY-NIGHT
[At the site of the sleeping Machine Beast, Gearoids guard the slumbering Drillobit. Jake and Matt spy on the activities. When the generals arrive to check up on him, the two defenders hide.]

YOGO:
As we speak, Drillobit is absorbing the Earth's magma to use as a weapon. If he is awakened too early, the magma will spew like a volcano...in the middle of the city!

[Jake and Matt look at each other in shock, then ready their morphers.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN AND MATT SANDOVAL:
Start Up!

[The suits "flash-form" over the duo. The two rangers then charge into battle against the Gearoids in front of the generals.]

METALIA:
Gearoids...get them!

[The two Defender Rangers and the Gearoids battle through the night until morning.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The Defender Rangers defeat the Gearoids, then turn their attention to the generals. Metalia uses her whip to strike the two rangers...they fall and roll.]

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Nitro Gear!

[The two rangers put their weapons together.]

Defender Buster...fire!

[The Defender Rangers fire their cannon, but it has no effect. Yogo fires a blast from his staff...the two rangers spark and fall again.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
(winded)
I...don't know...how much...more...

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
(tired)
Stay in there, Jake! We can do it!

[The Blue and Yellow Rangers leap in and fire their Nitrolizers, then check on the two Defender Rangers.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
You guys alright!?

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
We'll be okay!

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Ryder is still a bit upset as he sits at the table and just stares at the three casts.]

BILLY CRANSTON:
Here, Ryder...try this.

[Billy mixes up a solution bath to remove the rust from the casts. He and Adam place the three damaged casts into the solution...the rust falls off the casts.]

RYDER SWANSON:
(excited)
Yeah! It worked!

ALPHA SIX:
Oh, boy...aye-yi-yi! Gator is done re-charging!

ADAM PARK:
Ryder...ranger up! It looks like they can use your help out there.

RYDER SWANSON:
Right!

[Ryder teleports out.]

ALPHA SIX:
All six zord systems are a go, Adam...I'm preparing to send them to the rangers.

BILLY CRANSTON:
Adam...I want to show you something.

[Adam walks over to the computer.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Orca, Canine, and Gator arrive at the battle already grown. The Defender Rangers board their zords. Soon, the Defender Megazord is formed.]

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Defender Megazord...Ready To Rumble!

METALIA:
(looking up at the monster)
Drillobit...awaken!

[The behemoth of a drill monster wakes up.]

DRILLOBIT:
Lava Laser!

[Drillobit spews red hot magma at the megazord. Meanwhile, Metalia has the Yellow Ranger tied up in her whip as Argo tries to smash the Blue Ranger with his staff. Drillobit punches the megazord, then picks it up to punch it's head with the "driving rod."]

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Whoa!

[The Machine Beast tries his lava attack again to spew magma at the megazord as the generals continue to beat up the two Nitro Rangers to the point of de-morph. Drillobit makes the megazord go down as well.]

YOGO:
Gearoids! Get them!

[A dozen Gearoids are called upon to capture Brandon and Keiko. Suddenly, Ryder arrives and kicks a Gearoid squarely in the chest to knock it back several feet.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Hey guys...sorry I'm late. Billy's gonna have a surprise for us soon...but in the meantime...

[Ryder takes out his Nitro Morpher...the other two follow suit.]

ALL:
Start Up!

[The suits "flash-form" over the trio.]

NITRO RANGERS:
Nitro Buster!

[The rangers combine their gear. The rangers inserts their Super Nitro Cells and fire the cannon one after the other (Yellow, Blue, then Red) at the generals. The blast knocks the generals back a bit.]

Nitro Casts...insert cells! Cast Off!

[The casts leap off of the arms of the rangers, and grow. The three rangers get in, and form the Nitro Megazord.]

Nitro Megazord...Ready To Rumble!

[The Nitro Megazord punches Drillobit, who was looming over the fallen Defender Megazord.]

Leave them alone!

[The Nitro Megazord knocks Drillobit down as the Defender Megazord recovers, and gets back to it's feet. Both megazords then stand side-by-side.]

ALL RANGERS:
(as the megazords pose)
Power Rangers: Nitro Defenders! Let's Go!

[Drillobit recovers.]

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Nitro Sword!

[The sword emerges from it's compartment and appears in the right hand of the megazord. The Nitro Megazord uses the weapon to sword-fight Drillobit, who counters with his lava laser.]

DEFENDER RANGERS:
(as their megazord steps in front of the other megazord to shield it from the monster's attack)
Orca Storm!

[The orca arm spins to deflect the magma. Both megazords stab the monster to send him flying.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(to the Defender Rangers)
You guys ready over there!?

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
(to the Nitro Rangers)
Ready...Defender...

ALL RANGERS:
{split screen}
Grand Prix!

[Both megazords perform their finishers {split-screened} in tandem.]

You're going down!

[Drillobit cackles in blue energy bolts, then falls and explodes into a massive fireball. The rangers celebrate in their cockpits.]

Yeah!

[The rangers exit the two megazords.]

YOGO:
You may have won this battle rangers...

METALIA:
...But we...will win the war!

ARGO:
Next time, rangers!

[The generals teleport out leaving the rangers to ponder the threat.]

"PRND 10-11"
The rangers struggle to battle two grown Machine Beasts as their zords' time limits come dangerously close to expiring. The rangers later utilize a new combination to defeat the two Machine Beasts, then learn that they may have a new mentor.

[Yogo is pacing around the main chamber, and is growing weary of losing all the time.]

YOGO:
Those rangers are trying my patience! Every time a Machine Beast is sent, they are scrapped! That's it! It's time to up the ante...Factorious...B-Doz!

[The factory-like FACTORIOUS, and the big hulking bulldozer, B-DOZ emerge from the chamber, and approach the three generals.]

Go to the city...draw out the rangers, and destroy them!

[Metalia and Argo cheer in glee as the two Machine Beasts depart the palace.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Adam and Billy are sitting in chairs near the computer desk, and start talking of old times.]

BILLY CRANSTON:
So...you have your own team of rangers...prodigious!

ADAM PARK:
And you're a teacher. Say...what are the others up to?

BILLY CRANSTON:
Well...Tommy's in Reefside teaching High School Biology, Kat's back in Australia coaching future Olympians, Tanya's now hosting a radio show in L.A., Jason and Zack are with the U.N.. Say, have you heard from Rocky and Aiesha?

ADAM PARK:
Aiesha's still in Africa, and Rocky is a baseball coach at A.G.U.. I still can't believe Tommy's a Biology teacher!

BILLY CRANSTON:
(chuckling at first)
You know...we all need to get together sometime...all of the rangers...past, present, and future.

ADAM PARK:
So...what's this computer program of yours?

BILLY CRANSTON:
Well...ever since Zordon's energy tube was shattered in nineteen ninety-eight, I've been working on a way to get him back.

ADAM PARK:
How!? I thought he was destroyed...forever!?

BILLY CRANSTON:
Digitally. It won't be Zordon, per-say, just a digital re-creation. I programmed it to be like if Zordon never left.

[Billy pulls a CD-ROM disc from his brown briefcase, and holds it up.]

This contains the Zenith Remote Digital Network. Zordon's image, knowledge, and mannerisms are all programmed to interact.

ADAM PARK:
And mentor?

BILLY CRANSTON:
Well...yes. Adam, I know you've been mentoring those kids...this program will assist you. Do you trust me?

ADAM PARK:
When have I not trusted you?

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[Factorious and B-Doz arrive and start terrorizing the citizens. Factorious starts billowing toxic smoke from his stacks as B-Doz starts pushing over some trees and benches.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Global's sensors detect the attack, and it's alarms ring out. Adam gets up from the chair and rushes to the main computers.]

ADAM PARK:
(pressing a few buttons)
Ryder...trouble in the park. Two Machine Beasts are attacking.

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[Ryder is behind an empty juice bar counter when he takes the call.]

RYDER SWANSON:
(into his morpher)
Right...I'll get the others.

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The five arrive, and see two Machine easts instead of the usual one.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Two!?

FACTORIOUS:
Rangers! It's a fact that you're going to be annihilated today!

B-DOZ:
Gearoids!

[The five take on the Gearoids in a un-morphed battle, and seem to handle them with ease.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Alpha watches the battle on Global's viewscreens as Adam watches Billy inputing equations and commands into the computer.]

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The five un-morphed rangers continue to battle the Gearoids.]

B-DOZ:
The Gearoids are losing!

FACTORIOUS:
Is that a fact!?

[Factorious uses his smog to power up the Gearoids. When the minions start to gain the upper hand, the quintet needs to re-group.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
How'd they get tougher!?

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
It was that toxic smoke!

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
It gave them power!

MATT SANDOVAL:
So, let's go for a power upgrade of our own!

ALL:
(preparing their morphers)
Right! Start Up!

[The suits form over the quintet. The rangers continue to battle the Gearoids, but now start to have problems.]

Nitrolizers!

[The rangers un-holster their sidearms, and insert their Super Nitro Cells, and fire. SInce the blasts had little effect, the rangers convert their Nitrolizers to Baton Mode...which also have little effect.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Oh, no! Now what!?

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The three generals are pleased that their plan is going so well.]

YOGO:
Why should those two have all the fun!? I say we join them!

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The rangers continue to battle the Gearoids with their Nitrolizers in Baton Mode. The three generals teleport in, and join the two Machine Beasts.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
What!? Not them too!

YOGO:
Hello, rangers...we want in on the fun too!

RED NITRO RANGER:
We'll show you fun...Nitro Gear!

[The chest logos on the five rangers glow to produce the weapons. Each ranger spins in a complete one hundred eighty degree spin to reveal their weapon.]

Condor Blade!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Lionzooka!

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Bear Pellet!

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Orca Axe!

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Canine Taser!

[The quintet attack the Gearoids with their gear, and defeat them. The rangers then turn their attention to the five machines.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Your turn! Put 'em together, guys!

NITRO RANGERS:
Nitro Buster!

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Defender Buster!

ALL:
Fire!

[The dual blasts are fires at the five machines, but it has no effect. The rangers are at a loss of what to do next, as the machines laugh and taunt. Just when things look bad, all five machines grow, and try to stomp on the quintet, who dodge the attack.]

Whoa!

RED NITRO RANGER:
(into his morpher)
We need the zords...stat!

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Global's alarms ring out along with the Red Ranger's call for the zords. Adam sees the battle on the viewscreen.]

ADAM PARK:
Oh, no! Alpha...what's Gator's charge status?

ALPHA SIX:
Another thirty minutes! I'll send the others.

ADAM PARK:
Rangers! I'm sending the zords...but gator is still charging for another half-hour.

voice of RED NITRO RANGER:
We'll take whatever we can get!

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The zord case appears in front of the rangers. They open the case and grab their casts to insert their Super Nitro Cells.]

ALL RANGERS:
Cast Off!

[The zords leap off of the rangers' hands and come alive to grow. The rangers then board the zords, and put them into gear.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Let's bring them together...

NITRO RANGERS:
Nitrozords...Combine!

[The Condor, Lion, and Bear combine to form the Nitro Megazord.]

Nitro Megazord...Ready To Rumble!

[The megazord starts battling the five evil machines as the two Defender Rangers watch from their zords with anticipation.The five machines start beating on the megazord, as the Nitro Rangers try to hold it steady.]

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[Chloe is running the dojo. Beside the counter, mounted on a wall, the television is tuned into a newscast. With the volume turned down, the report depicts the zord battle, and a graphic telling people to stay inside.]

EXT.-CITY-PARK-DAY
[The rangers continue to struggle to maintain control of the megazord.]

CONDOR:
Rangers...our time limit is about up!

RED NITRO RANGER:
How much longer?

CONDOR:
About three minutes.

RED NITRO RANGER:
Hang in there, partner, we're going to the limit.

CONDOR:
We'll keep you in until the five second mark.

[The rangers continue to battle until the final seconds.]

Ten seconds...nine...eight...seven...six...

RED NITRO RANGER:
Abandon megazord!

[The megazord glows a golden hue as it falls apart. The three rangers and casts plop onto the round, and the rangers de-morph while holding their casts and cells. The two Defender Rangers, now de-morphed check on thir comrades. All five look up at the five rampaging machines.]

MATT SANDOVAL:
You guys alright!?

RYDER SWANSON:
Yeah...

[Adam's voice comes over Ryder's morpher.]

voice of ADAM PARK:
Rangers...return to base...time to regroup.

RYDER SWANSON:
(as he closes the morpher)
...we're okay...but the city is doomed.

[The quintet recovers, and teleports out of the area as the five machines terrorize the city. TO BE CONTINUED...]

[Adam, Alpha, and Billy prepare to receive the five un-morphed rangers.]

ADAM PARK:
Alpha...I want you to find a way around the time limit. That megazord still had a fight in it, and it suddenly lost power to a simple time limit.

ALPHA SIX:
Yes, Adam.

[The five un-morphed rangers teleport in.]

ADAM PARK:
Are you guys alright!?

RYDER SWANSON:
We got out collective butts kicked, but we'll be okay. Here's out casts, Alpha.

[Ryder sets the casts on the table as Alpha plus them in.]

Luckily, it doesn't take long to charge them up.

ADAM PARK:
All is not lost, guys...

BILLY CRANSTON:
...Adam and I are working on a couple things to help you.

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[Seeing the rangers' retreat as a victory, the generals and two Machine Beasts celebrate. Meanwhile, King Gasket chimes in on the viewscreen to scold his generals.]

YOGO:
(noticing the viewscreen)
Your majesty!

voice of KING GASKET:
I would not be celebrating yet, Yogo! The rangers are down, but not out. Attack the city again!

METALIA:
M.E.G.s! Swarm the city!

EXT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The hangar doors open, and over one hundred ships depart for the city.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[The five un-morphed rangers await the re-charged casts.]

ALPHA SIX:
The zords are ready...except for Gator, which will be ready soon.

GLOBAL:
Rangers...your five zords can combine into the Nitro Megazord's new Dual Mode.

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Sweet!

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Factorious and B-Doz attack the city as the M.E.G.s swarm the skies over the city...the citizens flee in fear.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Global detects the attack, and alerts the team.]

GLOBAL:
Trouble in the city.

[The viewscreens show the city under attack. The un-morphed rangers grab their casts.]

RYDER SWANSON:
We have to hold them off as long as we can. Let's go!

[The five depart the base.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The five morphed rangers walk valiantly into the battle area. When they stop, they remove their Super Nitro Cells and casts from their belts, and insert them. The casts come to life and grow...the rangers enter the zords.]

ALL RANGERS:
(five-in-one screen shot)
Online!

[The five rangers put their zords into gear. The Red, Blue, and Yellow Rangers form the Nitro Megazord.]

NITRO RANGERS:
Nitrozords...Combine!

[The three zords come together.]

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
Defender Orcazord...

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
...Defender Caninezord...

ALL RANGERS:
Combine!

[The two Defenderzords attach to the Nitro Megazord as it's arms fold up.]

Nitro Megazord...Dual Mode...Ready To Rumble!

FACTORIOUS:
Oh, really! Is that a fact?

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Billy gets ready to upload the program into the base's computer system.]

BILLY CRANSTON:
I'm ready to upload the program.

ALPHA SIX:
Ready to proceed, Billy.

[Billy presses a few buttons on the computer to upload the program.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The megazord battle has begun. The canine arm pistol-whips B-Doz as the orca arm slices Factorious. The megazord then backs off to prepare it's finisher.]

ALL RANGERS:
Defender Slam!

[The megazord channels all of it's energy to perform the attack. The megazord then fires a slow-moving blast from the canine arm. The robot then spins to hit the "laser ball" with the orca's tail to send it speeding to the two Machine Beasts (like a volleyball serve), to destroy them.]

You've been served...and that is a fact!

[The megazord poses victoriously in front of the two piles of flaming wreckage. The rangers celebrate in their cockpits.]

Yeah!

[Suddenly the three generals appear, and grow.]

What!?

[The three generals swarm-attack the megazord, and get the best of it.]

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Adam notices the generals beating the megazord. Gator is now done re-charging. Adam sends the cell and cast to Black Ranger.]

ADAM PARK:
Matt...Gator's done charging!

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The orca and canine disengage from the megazord as the Black Ranger inserts Gator's Super Nitro Cell into it's (Gator's) mouth. The gator appears onto the street and grows.]

GATOR:
Defender Gatorzord...Online!

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Defenderzords...Combine!

[The orca, canine, and gator combine to form another megazord.]

Defender Megazord...Ready To Rumble!

[Both megazords stand ready, side-by-side.]

ALL RANGERS:
Let's take them down! Grand Prix!

[Both megazords perform their finishers in tandem. The generals are moved back several feet, but not destroyed. The generals put their weapons together to send a beam to the megazords...they spark and flail as the villains vanish.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
What was that all about!?

RED NITRO RANGER:
They were testing us.

GREEN DEFENDER RANGER:
For what?

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
They got something planned.

BLUE DEFENDER RANGER:
(sarcastically)
Great!

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-NIGHT
[The generals all gather in the main chamber.]

YOGO:
(into the viewscreen, which has King Gasket on it)
Your Majesty...we are ready to proceed to stage two.

voice of KING GASKET:
Excellent.

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-NIGHT
[The five young adults teleport in, and line-up.]

ADAM PARK:
Welcome back. More than ten years ago, my former mentor, Zordon, sacrificed himself to save the universe from the Alliance of Evil. For the last few days, Billy here as implemented a computerized program...a program that has been uploaded into the Power Center's secondary computer system. The digitalized Zordon will have all the characteristics of the past Zordon, and...will...be your new mentor. I will become an assistant, or a liason to him. Alpha...activate the Zenith Remote Digital Network.

ALPHA SIX:
Right...bringing the system online...now!

[On a centralized monitor, a blue grid image appears. A thicker blue line creates a familiar bluish-gray face on the screen.]

ZORDON:
Hello, rangers...I am Zordon...well, at least a re-creation of him. I'll do my best to be your mentor.

RYDER SWANSON:
Welcome back, Zordon!

ADAM PARK:
There will be times that I will not be able to be here, but Zordon and Alpha are more than capable to help you.

[The voices of the VehAni come over the morphers, and welcome Zordon as well.]

INT.-OUTER SPACE-EARTH'S MOON-MACHINE SKYBASE-NIGHT
[King Gasket and Queen Archerina sense Zordon's presence.]

KING GASKET:
So, Zordon has returned from the dead! Now is the time to strike!

[Gasket gives a menacing look, then both he and the Queen laugh.]

NEXT TIME ON POWER RANGERS: NITRO DEFENDERS...

"A PICTURE'S WORTH...(1)"
While Keiko and Jake are out shopping, a new Machine Beast attacks the city. But, when their pictures are taken, along with other citizens, they disappear into another dimension. Meanwhile, Ryder and the others mount a rescue while the other two fight in the alternate dimension without their powers.

INT.-CITY-DOJO-DAY
[On a quiet Sunday morning, Ryder, Brandon, and Matt are preparing the dojo for opening.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Where's Keiko and Jake?

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Out shopping, I think. They'll be here soon.

EXT.-CITY-SHIDEX PLAZA-DAY
[Keiko and Jake window-shop around the retail area of the plaza. Keiko sees a delicious cake in a window, and goes inside the bakery to purchase it. Jake, staying outside, sees a camera monster harassing the citizens.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
(preparing is morpher)
Start Up!

[The suit flash-forms over Jake. Keiko then walks out of the store, and up to the Green Ranger with a cake box.]

SHUTTER:
Smile for the camera!

[Shutter takes a picture of Keiko, and the Green Ranger...the two vanish as Shutter laughs.]

Two down...three to go!

EXT.-JUNKYARD DIMENSION-DAY
[The two (Jake had been forcefully de-morphed) recover, and get acclimated to their surroundings. All around them are piles of garbage and rusted metallic objects.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Where are we?

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
I don't know!

KEIKO OGAWA:
(into her morpher)
Anybody there? Hello?

[No one answers Keiko's call. They consult their VehAni partners.]

What'll we do now!?

BEAR:
This is the Junkyard Dimension.

ORCA:
The only way out is the way we came.

[Keiko starts feeling down...and hungry. The two eat the cake that Keiko had purchased earlier.]

EXT.-CITY-SHIDEX PLAZA-DAY
[Shutter continues to terrorize the citizens by taking their pictures, and sending them into the Junkyard Dimension. The remaining three rangers arrive on the scene, and trade taunts with Shutter.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Whoa, a camera monster!

SHUTTER:
I'm Shutter...time to take your picture! Watch the birdie!

[As Shutter tries to snap a picture of the trio, they dodge. The Red Ranger un-holsters his Nitrolizer, and loads his Super Nitro Cell into it, then converts the Nitrolizer into Baton Mode.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Condor Blade Strike!

[The Red Ranger's attack makes the Machine Beast spark and retreat. The three rangers relax a second.]

Let's get back to the Power Center.

INT.-MOUNTAINS-POWER CENTER-DAY
[Alpha is busy trying to locate Keiko and Jake.]

ZORDON:
Alpha...try to expand the search to other dimensions.

ALPHA SIX:
Yes, Zordon...scanning the other dimensions now.

[The three rangers teleport in, and remove their helmets.]

RYDER SWANSON:
Anything yet?

ALPHA SIX:
Aye-yi-yi! Nothing!

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
Alpha...scan Shutter's camera lens, and do a reverse trace. That's what he's using to make the people disappear.

ALPHA SIX:
Scanning. Aye-yi-yi! They're in his Junkyard Dimension!

RYDER SWANSON:
Let's work on a way to get them out of there.

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-DAY
[The generals celebrate for a bit with Shutter.]

METALIA:
Soon, the entire Earth will be evacuated to the Junkyard Dimension, and the puny Earthlings will become Gearoids...

ARGO:
...And our slaves!

SHUTTER:
I'll drink to that!

[Metalia and Shutter toast-clank their glasses, and drink. Shutter then departs for the city as the three generals laugh.]

EXT.-JUNKYARD DIMENSION-DAY
[Keiko and Jake look around some more, and hear noises.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
What's all that noise!?

[The two investigate, and see Gearoids herding citizens into a warehouse-like building.]

We gotta do something!

KEIKO OGAWA AND JAKE GARABEDIAN:
(preparing their morphers)
Start Up!

[The suits do not form over the duo...the morph is being blocked.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Now what'll we do!? Those people need our help!

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
We improvise! Let's go!

INT.-JUNKYARD DIMENSION-WAREHOUSE-DAY
[Keiko and Jake sneak inside and witness the Gearoids turn innocent citizens into Gearoids. The duo quickly come up with a plan to battle the Gearoids, and rescue the citizens by pointing and gesturing silently.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[Shutter continues to terrorize the citizens, and has dozens of them in his sights. The three rangers arrive.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
You know, for someone with a flash-bulb, you're pretty dim!

BLUE NITRO RANGER:
Come get us!

[The three rangers run to another area to lure Shutter into a trap.]

INT.-JUNKYARD DIMENSION-WAREHOUSE-DAY
[As Keiko and Jake ready some chains to swing in on, they witness citizens of various ages being crammed into cage. A Gearoid is about to throw a lever, but the two rangers swing into action. Six Gearoids get kicked in the head by the swinging duo. The two then use a Gearoid's sword in their rescue attempt. Jake then uses a chain to tie up the four soldiers.]

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Keiko!

KEIKO OGAWA:
Good work, Jake! You tin-cans are in for it now!

[Keiko starts beating the four tied-up Gearoids with the Gearoid Sword...the beaten Gearoids fall. The two un-morphed rangers trade high-fives.]

Yes!

JAKE GARAEDIAN:
Yeah!

[Keiko and Jake free the citizens, and help them escape the warehouse.]

EXT.-JUNKYARD DIMENSION-DAY
[Keiko and Jake get the citizens to safety.]

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The three rangers lead Shutter into their trap...to face three cardboard cut-outs.]

SHUTTER:
There you are! Time to join your friends...soon, you five...and soon everyone on Earth will become Gearoid slaves! Smile!

[Shutter snaps a picture of the cardboard rangers, and they vanish. Suddenly, the Red Ranger leaps in with his Condor Blade.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Condor Blade...Road Slash!

[The Blue and Black Rangers hold Shutter back as the Red Ranger approaches the Machine Beast.]

EXT.-JUNKYARD DIMENSION-DAY
[Keiko and Jake lead the citizens to an open field, where they see the rangers...the two think that they're real, and approach them.]

KEIKO OGAWA:
Rangers!

[Keiko notices that they're cardboard cut-outs, and seems a bit down as she reads a not affixed to the back of the "Red Cardboard Ranger."

'Everyone...we're working on getting you out of there...hang tight; signed Red Ranger.'

JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Don't worry...we'll be out of here soon.

EXT.-CITY-DAY
[The Blue and Black Rangers continue to hold Shutter while the Red Ranger reverses the controls on Shutter, and presses the trigger to make all of Shutter's prisoners re-appear on Earth. Everyone, including Keiko and Jake celebrate a bit. The Red Ranger checks on everyone.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
(to Keiko and Jake)
Everybody okay?

[The rangers see the "Geared" humans.]

Get everyone to safety, okay.

[Keiko and Jake get everyone away from the battle as the Blue and Black Rangers kick Shutter, then use their Nitro Gear on him...Shutter goes down, but soon recovers and stares down the two -un-morphed rangers. Once the citizens are safe, Keiko and Jake prepare their morphers.]

KEIKO OGAWA AND JAKE GARABEDIAN:
Start Up!

[The suits fully form over the duo. After their morph is complete, the two join their comrades.]

ALL RANGERS:
(posing)
Power Rangers...Nitro Defenders! Let's Go!

SHUTTER:
I shutter at the thought...

ALL RANGERS:
You should...Nitro Defender Cannon!

[The rangers form the cannon from their Nitro Gear (which was summoned during Shutter's taunt). The Yellow Ranger inserts her Super Nitro Cell.]

Fire!

[Shutter is blown away, which starts is Industrial Revolution. Soon, the Machine Beast grows.]

YELLOW NITRO RANGER:
Zordon...Alpha...send the zords!

[A few seconds later, the zord case teleports in, appears in front of the Yellow Ranger. The Red Ranger opens the case. The five rangers grab their casts, and insert their Super Nitro Cells.]

ALL RANGERS:
Cast Off!

[The casts leap off of the rangers' arms. They the grow and come alive. The rangers then board their zords, and put them into gear.]

Zords...Combine!

[The six zords combine to form the Nitro Megazord, and Defender Megazord.]

NITRO RANGERS:
Nitro Megazord...

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Defender Megazord...

ALL RANGERS:
(as the two megazords pose side-by-side)
...Ready To Rumble!

SHUTTER:
(as he fires his film-strip ropes at the megazords, binding them)
That's a wrap, rangers!

[The Machine Beast then uses his flash-bulb to blast the two megazords.]

Say cheese!

[The two megazords spark a lot, then go down. After a bit, the two robots recover to their feet.]

RED NITRO RANGER:
Let's go airborne!

[The two megazord fly up into the sun to blind the Machine Beast before coming down.]

BLACK DEFENDER RANGER:
Canine Blast!

[The Defender Megazord blasts Shutter with it's right arm, the canine.]

DEFENDER RANGERS:
Defender Grand Prix!

[The Machine Beast snaps several pictures of the Defender Megazord executing it's finisher.]

NITRO RANGERS:
Grand Prix!

[The Machine Beast snaps several pictures of the Nitro Megazord executing it's finisher. Shutter then falls and explodes. The two megazords pose victoriously.]

ALL RANGERS:
You're over-exposed!

[The "geared" humans return to normal, and thank the rangers, who have exited the megazords.]

INT.-MECHANICO ISLAND-NIGHT
[The three Machine Empire generals are not as angry as usual at Shutter's defeat. They have another Machine Beast in mind...a slender, golden-like one with a boxy chest.]

METALIA:
Everything is proceeding as planned, Yogo.

[Yogo reviews footage of the megazords' finishers.]

YOGO:
Excellent!

ARGO:
Those rangers won't know what hit them! (laughs)

INT.-CITY-DOJO-NIGHT
[Adam presents a cake to the team.]

ADAM PARK:
(as he puts the cake on a table)
Heard that you guys had a rough day.

RYDER SWANSON:
(grabbing plastic utensils, napkins, and plates from the counter, walks to the table)
Yeah, but something tells me that the Empire is beginning to step up it's attacks.

ADAM PARK:
That's why you all must be ready, and be careful.

[As Ryder nears the table, he trips over his own feet, and falls into the cake...face first.]

BRANDON CRAWFORD:
(as Ryder recovers with a face full of cake frosting)
Well, let's face it...

[Ryder just sternly stares a Brandon as everyone laughs.]

...This...is a sweet reward after a long day.

[Everyone continues to laugh. TO BE CONTINUED...]
