Power Rangers : Secret Squadron!

Story 1 – A new Team.

Chapter 1

Vica Galaxy, A small planet. The wind blew across the ground. It was calm and quiet. A little too quiet some might say. A famous battle once took place on this planet. It was the battle where the famous legend known as Zordon sacrificed himself for the forces of good.

The ground started to shake. It was almost like an earth quake. The ground it’s self started to crack. A strange white mist crept out of the ground. Suddenly a gold armoured hand rose up out of the ground.

Meanwhile back on earth, Outside the city of Angel Grove. A secret underground base was on red alert. “General. There as been activity in the Vica Galaxy.” Nick Gellar a high ranking officer in a secret government section told the only person who out ranks him.

“Vica Galaxy, you say?….. Alpha 5 bring it up on the viewing screen.” A voice spoke from behind a large chair.

“Brining it up now Billy.” Alpha 5 a small friendly robot answered to his general.

“Alpha, I’ve told you it’s William now.” The man spoke turning around in his chair. The General was no other than Billy Cranston, A former power ranger.

“You’ll always be Billy to me.” Alpha chuckled.

“NO, It… It can’t be.” General Cranston had a look of shock on his face as looked at the viewing screen. The large state of the art plasma screen displayed an all to familiar picture. One that haunted William in his sleeps as a teenager.

“Goldar!” Alpha screamed as he looked at the screen. Indeed it was Goldar. An evil and powerful warrior who on many occasions almost killed William and his friends when they were power rangers.

“It’s time, Lieutenant Gellar, Activate the Power Ranger project.” General Cranston spoke as he turned to his friend. He always knew he one day need to activate the powers. He just never thought it would be because of Goldar.

“But General, We haven’t had time to train anyone. It’s too ….” Lieutenant Gellar started to speak but was soon interrupted.

“Listen here. When I broke up with Cestria and left Aquitar I could have come back here and lived a normal life. I didn’t. I rebuilt the old Power Chamber, I started the Secret Squadron project, I built new Power ranger powers based on the remains of the Zeo and Mighty morphin’ powers I could find.

Goldar is a class 5 threat. He’ll want to destroy the world to get revenge on the rangers. I know. I’ve lived through this. When I say activate the Power rangers project I mean NOW!” General Cranston shouted.

“Yes sir.” Lieutenant Gellar responded as he quickly ran to get the Power rangers powerss operational.

“You did more than that you also saved me from Dark Specter's forces.” Alpha told him as he walked over the to the computer.

“I had to Alpha you’re like family. Just Zor…..” General Cranston turned his head. He had seen many things in his life. The only thing that really effected him was Zordon’s death. Zordon was like a father to him and the death had changed William.

Angel Grove diner. Three teenagers were hanging out. The diner had always attracted teens from when it was Ernie’s juice bar to Lt. Stone’s. Now it was a Dinner owned by Ted Wood and his family.

The three teenagers were high school students who lives were soon about to be changed. Their names were Stephen Parker , Rachel Davis and Tim King. They were the team that had lead Angel Grove to victory in the Karate tournaments for the last two years.

Stephen Parker was a young African-American Jock at the high school. As well as been in the Karate team he was also the Captain of the football team. He was the more serious of the group and even though he could be a little selfish he did have a good heart.

Rachel Davis was considered a geek by many. She collected comic–books, Played video games and even collected anime and Japanese figures (Her favourite been anything to do with a television show called Super Sentai) She was the more intelligent of the group.

Tim King or “The king” as he liked to be called was in a rock band called “Saban” He was laid back and more sarcastic. Him and Rachel joined the Karate team for one reason. They wanted to learn self defence. Though with “The King” it was his smart mouth that got him in trouble not been considered a geek.

They were three completely different people but had become friends thanks to been on the same team as each other. Though the still got in to arguments on some things as it was a clash of personalities.

The doors of the diner swung open and in walked a man in a suit and tie. He was carrying with him a briefcase. He looked at the kids and shook his head. “I can’t believe General Cranston picked these kids.” He thought to himself.

He walked over to their table and stood in front of them. “Stephen Parker , Rachel Davis and Tim King. My name is Agent Thompson. I need you to come with me.” He told them flashing his badge at them to prove who was.

“Hey, If this about me eating a grape at Wal-mart last week, Everyone does it.” Tim responded. Agent Thompson looked at him. He didn’t show any emotion but Tim could he was annoyed by what he had said.
Meanwhile Goldar was flying on his way to the moon. “No rita, No Zedd and with my new found power when it fully returns I’ll wipe out the rangers and anyone else who gets in my way. Revenge will be mine and the Earth as well.” He laughed out loud.

““Aye-yi-yi-yi-yi Goldar is getting closer Billy.” Alpha 5 panicked as he looked at the screen. He was a cowardly robot when it came to monsters. But he would stand up to any monster if his friends needed him, He was glad they didn’t.

“I know Alpha. According this reading his power has increased too. I think he may be able stronger than Lord Zedd was if his power reading keeps increasing.” General Cranston told him as he watched the screen.

It took a while but General Cranston was soon greeted by three teenagers. “Here they are General. Our last hope.” Agent Thompson told him in a sarcastic tone while looking at the kids.

“Thank you.” General Cranston told him looking at him angry by tone. He was not going to react though as he did not want to scare the kids before they joined.

“Hey big blue, What are we doing here?” Stephen asked referring to the fact General Cranston was wearing a dark blue uniform, He picked the uniform himself most likely to still have a connection with his Blue Power rangers days.

“Okay, Here it goes. My name is General Cranston but you may call me William. You have been selected for a special mission. Have you heard of the power rangers?” General Cranston Smiled as he looked at the teenagers.

“Power rangers, Yeah the guys who dress in bright spandex and run around saving the world.” Rachel laughed.

“Sort of, yes. You have been chosen to be Power Rangers Secret Squadron.” General Cranston told them taking the briefcase off Agent Thompson and looking at them.

“Why us? No offence Willy but you want us to fight monsters? We are still fighting acne!” Tim responded.

“I wanted Teenagers with attitude. Trust me you will be okay I was your age when I joined the power rangers.” General Cranston told them opening the briefcase. Inside was three rectangle shaped boxes with golden coins in the middle.

“Stephen Parker you have shown real leadership on the football field. For that you are given the red ranger powers.” General Cranston spoke handing Stephen one of the boxes.

“Rachel Davis, You’re intelligence will serve you well. For that you are granted the power of the White Ranger!” He smiled placing one in her hand too.

“Tim King, In your band you show great team work and dedication. You are given something I know a little about, The blue ranger powers.” He told him placing the last in his hand.

“What are these?” Rachel asked.

“Good question. Theses are your morphers. To use them say “It’s Morphin time and hold them out in front of you then say your colour then the word power. Try it.” He told them

“IT’S MORPHIN’ TIME” The all shouted at once.

“Blue ranger Power.” Tim said first.

“White Ranger power” Rachel followed

“Red ranger power.” Stephen said last.

Their Morphers glowed with the colour of their powers. Thousands of little robotic insect type things ran out of the morphers and covered there bodies forming metallic armour. There costumes were all white and their colour (white was replaced with pink on the white ranger costume to balance it out”. The rangers stood in form..

“Good, Now we will train you a little in using your weapons and Zords.” General Cranston smiled looking on at his group of rangers. Power Rangers Secret Squadron.

Chapter 2

A big explosion forced Tim the Blue Ranger in to air. He landed on the floor hard. His team mates Stephen and Rachel helped him to his feet. Standing in front of them was a large grey cat-like monster.

The monster was holding a large scepter , It was long and blue with a gold question mark on the end of it. He was dressed in a Pharaoh like head dress and had some Ancient Egyptian style clothing. He laughed as he looked at the rangers.

“Okay, I’ve had enough of this guy. Power Sai.” Tim called forth his power weapon. It was a set of Sai that had a blue handle and grey blades on the fork like weapon.

“Good idea! Power Bows” Rachel spoke calling forth her bow and arrows. The Bow itself was all white with little pink parts showing.

“Power Sword.” Stephen spoke calling for his sword. It had a red handle with a long grey metallic blade.

The weapons were created by General Cranston based on the weapons his team had used as a ranger during his teenage years. The power Bow was based on the pink ranger’s weapon, The power sword was based on the ranger’s weapon and the Power Sai were a mixture of the Yellow and Blue ranger’s weapons.

“Ready? Let’s bring them together.” Stephen commanded. On his lead Tim placed his Sai under the bow on each end. Stephen then placed his sword on top of the bow. The power cells inside the weapons were perfectly in line.

“Squadron Blaster ….. Fire.” All three of the rangers shouted realising the charged up energy. A beam of Red, white and Blue energy fired forward hitting the monster with great power. The monster fell to the floor and exploded in a huge fiery blast.

The rangers stood on proud of their victory. Their armour was shiny but was made of a light weight material General Cranston had created. It was light for movement but was tougher than any other armour. On their chest was a golden coin. The coin had on it a symbol. Each one had the same logo. It was the outline of a burning wheel.

The ground started to flash before disappearing and revealing a hard metallic floor. The scenery and view of the dessert they were in disappeared. They were standing on the Holographic Training Room. It was a room created to train rangers fast.

“Congratulations. You did very well. The King Sphinx program is a pretty tough one but we had to make you train fast time is running out.” General Cranston smiled proudly.

“I think they need to train harder. They messed up too many times and it could get them killed. But then again what do you expect from children playing solider.” Lieutenant Gellar told General Cranston.

“ENOUGH. They did very well and they will do in battle. They need encouragement not negativity Lieutenant.” General Cranston replied looking at his friend and second in command.

“I have a question. How did you come up with a suck a dumb looking monster?” Tim laughed.

“Tim! Don’t question that. I’m sure William tried his best.” Rachel replied quietly to try and make sure she didn’t hurt General Cranston’s feelings.

“Actually I didn’t. King Sphinx was a monster I faced when I was a ranger. He may look dumb but he was vicious as anyone. There is another lesson for you, Do not judge a book by it’s cover.

Every monster in the HTR is real monsters, Every mission is a mission we lived through. It has things from when I was a ranger to modern day monsters tanks to an old teammate of mine, Dr. Tommy Oliver, Sharing information he had gathered and things his Dino Rangers had been through.

But that’s not all. Thanks to people like Wes Collins and his Time Force connections It even has monsters from the future.” General Cranston smiled at them to try and reassure his team they were doing well.

Elsewhere, Goldar landed on the moon. He took a few steps forward and looked up at the palace where Rita, Lord Zedd had been based. It was like a home to him. But more importantly it was like a right of passage to him. It was now all his.

“The extra powers I picked up the void should be working enough to create some minions.” Goldar laughed pulling out his sword and lifting it in the air.

“The Putties were too weak for me. Arise my Meteor-knights .” Goldar laughed as a blue lightning bolts flew out of his sword. It hit the ground of the moon making it shake. Out of the ground arose an army of soldiers.

Each one of them was made of the rock surface of the moon itself. They were a dark green/brown type of colour. Each one of them looked the same. Each one a heartless but also mindless warrior who wished only to serve Goldar.

Goldar’s transformation from lackey to master was a complicated one. It all started with the breaking of Zordon’s tube by Andros. The wave of energy passed through the galaxy destroying every villain under the ruler ship of Dark Specter.

Goldar however it effected differently. During the battle with the Gold ranger Goldar managed to drain a little piece of the Ranger’s power. Since the power was good when the wave hit it caused a phenomenally.

It like the other monsters sent him to Shadow world, The place all destroyed monsters go. However due to the Ranger Power been inside him he unlike the other monsters, Got to keep his body.

It took him awhile to discover but he could steal other monster’s powers. He took the ability to transform animals and objects into monsters from the energy of Lord Zedd (though his human side is alive is powers were banished) The ability to grow on his own from Master Org, The power to make monsters grow from Rita’s evil powers only through his sword.

The power that came in most handy however was the one he took from Dark Specter. It mixed with his teleportation power he already had allowed him to teleport between realms and was the way he escaped from the shadow world.

Back at the Power rangers base General Cranston was introducing his team to their colossal mechanical vehicles known as Zords. He started by explaining them the history of the Zords and what they were used for.

“So are we going to get giant dinosaurs like you had?” Stephen asked his mentor. General Cranston gave a knowing smile before responding.

“No. Your zords will be different. We decided to go with a more practical design for each of your zords. White Ranger, Your zord will be a white Pontiac Solstice. “ He started to explain. As he explained Alpha 5 pushed a button showing the Zord on tv.

It was an all white Sports car. It had a pink trim around it. The car looked shiny. Rachel loved it. Mostly because it was convertible.

“Blue ranger, Your Zord we put inside a Porsche.” He continued as Alpha displayed the picture. It was a nice looking Porsche. Tim opened his mouth in shock as he was not expecting to get that.

“Red ranger. Your zord has been put inside a new Camaro.” General Cranston finished allowing Alpha to once again display the picture.

The car looked very nice. The shiny paint, the shape of it. Stephen knew he could never afford a car like that but now he had one and it just looked great. All three of them were very happy with their new found Zords.

“We wanted something you could drive around normally or park in a garage and no one would be know it’s a zord. But when the transform they form the Secret Squadron megazord. A powerful warrior who you will control in order to defeat your enemies when they grow.” He told them as Alpha let them see what the Mega zord looked like. I looked like a mechanical warrior which it was. The blue , red and white could be seen on the zord. What was most impressive was how the cars turned in to the megazord.

Each section looked in a different place. White formed the legs. While blue formed the body. Last red formed the arms and head. Once linked the paints changed to blend together almost giving a flamed look.

The Rangers were ready, They had their powers, The weapons and now a Megazord. They were going to need it too as Goldar’s forces were about to attack the city ….…..

Chapter 3

“Now I need a general, Someone to lead my troops until I am at full power.” Goldar thought to himself. He was sat on the very throne Lord Zedd had stat on. He thought what he needs but could not think how to get it.

He stood to his feet and walked slowly over to the workshop that use to belong to Finster. He hoped that the brilliant monster maker had left one of his creations behind. He saw one sculpture made by Finster.

“Come to life so you may serve me.” Goldar said pointing his sword at the sculpture. Energy fired down hitting the sculpture. Goldar watched on as it started to grow before it took it’s full form.

The monster standing before Goldar was dressed in gold and silver armour down one arm. He had the same coloured cloth hanging down from his waist. His boots were also gold and silver armoured. His body was covered in brown feathers with wings hanging down from his arms. His face was covered in a feather mane. He had deep yellow evil eyes. And a yellow beak. He looked like a human owl.

“The name is Hooter McGraw.” The owl like monster hooted to Goldar.

“Excellent, You will lead my army to many victories.” Goldar laughed.

“You’re putting on of Finster’s monsters in charge? You may have new powers but you’ve lost your touch.” A female voice replied from out in the throne room.

“It can’t be.” Goldar said turning around and walking out to where the voice had come. As he walked in the throne room he saw a site he never thought he would see again. Sat on the throne was a beautiful woman.

She was dressed in Gold armour with black and red pieces on her chest. Her face and one arm leading up to just above her breasts were showing her smooth skin. On top of her head rested a golden scorpion head piece.

“Scorpina! I thought you were destroyed.” Goldar said looking at her confidently sitting on his throne.

“I thought the same about you. All that is important is I’m back and ready to lead your army.” She smirked at him she knew Goldar had always been attracted to her and was exploiting it to her advantage.

“Well then, How would you like to sit at my site as my queen. Hooter McGraw you take the Meteor-knights and attack Angel Grove. Let’s see if they still have power rangers.” Goldar laughed.

“Queen Scorpina. I like it” Scorpina smirked looking at Goldar. She had got what she had wanted.

“The second you turn back and taking your sword with all those new powers in it and I’m taking over. I’ll be more feared than Astronema or Rita ever were.” Scorpina thought to herself as she looked on.

“As you wish.” Hooter McGraw replied as he disappeared. He was on his way down straight to attack the city.

Back at the Secret Squadron base. The Rangers were just finishing getting dressed after they took their showers. First they had learned weapon combat and then how to use Zords. It had been along day. All they wanted to do was to go home and sleep.

That idea disappeared when they heard an alarm blearing. “Rangers report to the main deck.” General Cranston’s voice spoke over a speaker. The rangers all quickly finished dressing and ran to the main deck.

“This is what you have been training for. A group of monsters are attacking down town. You know what to do.” General Cranston nodded.

“IT’S MORPHIN’ TIME” The all shouted at once.

“Blue ranger Power.” Tim said first.

“White Ranger power” Rachel followed

“Red ranger power.” Stephen said last.

The power rangers were in their ranger forms. And the second they were they disappeared into a beam of light. Alpha 5 had pressed the button to teleport them down the attack. The reappeared in front of Hooter McGraw and Meteor-knights.

“Ah, You must be the famous Power rangers.” Hooter McGraw laughed as he signalled for the Meteor-knights to attack.

“And you must be big bird. Isn’t sesame street missing you.” Tim laughed.

“That’s great, Insult the big scary monster with a sword. That helps.” Stephen said sarcastically.

“I think we need to worry about these walking rock formations first.” Rachel told them as she jumped up in the air delivering a flying kick to the chest of one of the Meteor-knights. The Meteor-knight fell backwards as more surrounded her.
Tim punched one Meteor-knight in the face quickly turning his body around to kick another one in the chest. One them grabbed him from behind but he pushed up with his legs flipping backwards over it landing on his feet.

Stephen crouched down on the floor and stuck out his leg. He span around on the floor fast his leg tripping up every one of the Meteor-knights that surrounded him. As the last one hit the ground he jumped up in the air coming down with his fist punching one of the Meteor-knights.

The Meteor-knight exploded with the impact of the punch. “That was easy.” Stephen laughed. Turning around and kicking another Meteor-knight in the head as he stood up.

Back at the base Lieutenant Gellar watched the fight on the main screen. “If they were not kids they would have beaten these guys by now” He said shaking his head.

“You have something to say?” General Cranston asked looking at him.

“Yeah I do. You were one of the legendary Mighty Morphin’ power rangers. I get that. But just because it worked for you does not mean it works today. They are just kids man, kids. And you have put them in a situation that could kill them before they are 20.

I’m sorry but I’ve had it. I’m handing in my notice. I can’t work for you anymore with this.” Lieutenant Gellar told him turning around and walking towards the door.

“Hey, Lets get something straight. I didn’t pick them because they were teens. I picked them as they are Martial arts experts already. You put a solider in the same situation and they’ll rely to heavily on weapons and would get killed.

You think they are just kids but they can do well. Trust me on this.” General Cranston replied.

“I wish I could.” Lieutenant Gellar responded.

“Then at least give it a month. See if you agree with the decision.” General Cranston begged.

“Fine one month, If I’ve not changed my mind I’ll do something even I’ll regret” Lieutenant Gellar warned as he walked out of the room.

The rangers watched as the last of the Meteor-knights exploded. They had beaten them, All that was left now was to fight Hooter McGraw. The rangers stood facing him. They knew this would be more of challenge.

“Foolish Rangers. You think you stand a chance against Hooter McGraw.” Hooter McGraw mocked as gripped his sword.

“We need our weapons.” Stephen told the others.

“Agreed, Power Sai.” Tim called making his Power Sai appear, He gripped them tight, one in each hand as he watched on.

“Power Bow” Rachel commanded summoning he bow an arrows. She started at the monster waiting to attack on Stephen’s command.
“Power Sword.” Steve called last summoning his long sword. He looked at the others and nodded to let them know to attack.

“Let me carve this turkey.” Tim mocked as he ran at Hooter McGraw. Hooter McGraw moved his sword fast blocking Tim’s attacks. As Tim backed off Hooter McGraw quickly sliced his chest with the sword. Tim fell back wards.

Stephen was the next to charge at the monster. Hooter McGraw managed to block Stephen’s attack too. The two of them were locked in a dual of steel. Sword vs sword. Whow would come out on top? Hooter McGraw managed to over power Steve, sending him to the floor.

“It’s over ranger.” Hooter McGraw laughed lifting up his sword to deliver a final blow to Stephen.

“Oh no you don’t.” Rachel said puling back an arrow in her bow. The arrow turned to energy as she fired it. The energy arrow flew through the air rapidly hitting Hooter McGraw in the chest and knocking him back a bit. Stephen quickly moved back to Rachel.

“Thanks.” He told her.

“Any time.” She replied.

“Ready? Let’s bring them together.” Stephen commanded. On his lead Tim placed his Sai under the bow on each end. Stephen then placed his sword on top of the bow. The power cells inside the weapons were perfectly in line.

“Squadron Blaster ….. Fire.” All three of the rangers shouted realising the charged up energy. A beam of Red, white and Blue energy fired forward hitting Hooter McGraw with great power. Hooter McGraw fell to the floor and exploded in a huge fiery blast.

Goldar was watching. “No, It’s not over yet. Make my monster grow.” Goldar commanded lifting up his sword. The energy from the sword traveled down to the earth and to Hooter McGraw. The ground began to shout before Hooter McGraw started to grow in size.

He was now bigger than the building in the city. He gave a roar as he looked down at the now ant sized to him, Power rangers on the ground below. The rangers looked up at the huge monster knowing what they had to do.

“We need to call our zords.” Stephen told them.
