Once A Ranger (My different take)

So here is the story. It picks up just as the veteran rangers would join in.

Chapter 1: the Joining

"Come on Mig, we've got them!" screamed Benglo.

The six Overdrive rangers were really backed into a corner.

"Any ideas, guys?" asked Ronny out of desperation.

The Fearcats just laughed.

"Fire!" and with that, the Fearcats released what was to be the final blast...except it never hit the rangers. Instead it was blocked by some guy in a blue suit with a triangle for a visor.

"Not going to happen! Mack, get your team out of here!" said this mysterious blue ranger.

" but, who ar..."

"Zeo Power Axes!". The ranger lifted his axes and swung them at the two Fearcats. The cats took massive damage and started to run away.

"Who was that guy? Thrax said there were only six!" excalimed Mig

"I know, but we ha...AHHHHH!!!!" screamed Benglo. He had just been blasted from behind.

"Wha" Mig didn't even have time to finish his sentence because he was also blasted back...by a man in a black suit with squares running across his chest.

"Sorry i'm late Rocky, but now that I'm here, let's get these guy!"

Rocky just nodded "Good to see you Carlos!"

"Hey, I can't belive you guys forgot about me!"

Carlos, Rocky, the Overdrive Rangers and even the Fearcats all looked to the side and saw someone standing there in a Pink Costume, with a helmet shaped like a Pteradactyl.

"Kim, were sorry, but can we concetrate on beating the baddies first?" exclaimed Rocky.

"Power Bow!" Kimberly took her bow and released a massive shot at both Fearcats. They were blown back and when they arose, they had a look of horror on their faces.

"Why are there three more rangers? I don't get th....AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Mig was barely able to avoid that incoming blast from a girl. But this wasn't any ordinary girl, no, this was a girl dressed in a yellow and white suit, with what looked like a row of teeth.

"Villains, they never know how to count!" exclaimed Maya.

"OK, is that all?" Mig asked exasperatingly.

"NO! Because I'm here and you losers are going down!"

Cool story, but the ranger's entries aren't in order, no offence it's just that if I saw this on TV anyone would want the ranger's entries in order of season. Other than that it's really good so far and keep going with it. Also, I can probably guess the red ranger, he is probaly from a Saban season

I agree with FlyHawk14, your story is really kickass. But you should have had the rangers come in order of season, but you did a great job and I will be looking forward to your next entry

This is good so far but there is something else that no one pointed out yet. In addition to the rangers being out of order, the villains are wrong. In the episode, when the veteran rangers show up, they aren't fighting the Fearcats, they are fighting one Fearcat and Kamdor. Just thought I'd mention that. Otherwise, it's a good adaptation.

FYI: it's my DIFFERENT TAKE....so there are different villains and a different order of introduction (kinda like the movie!).

Chapter 1: part 2: The Joining.

Everybody froze; the overdrive rangers, the fearcats and even the retro rangers. As they all turned their heads, they saw a man dressed in red spandex with a silver mouthplate and what seemed like a gear box on his belt......

"who.....are....you?!" asked Mig.

"The figure just strode forward....he seemed strong, powerful....confident....

"My name is Theodore Jay Jarvis Johnson, but you can call me TJ and you guys are finished."

Before the fearcats could even move, a cry of "TURBO LIGHTNING SWORD" was heard and the Fearcats were racked with slashes.

"Come on Mig...let's get out of here!" screamed Benglo......

With that the 2 fearcats teleported away...

The Overdrive rangers were stunned...They were looking at more rangers!

"Power Down!"

"Who are you guys?" asked Ronny.

"let's get back to the mansion before anything is said" exclaimed the person who said his name was TJ.

They all agreed to this and left...

pretty cool so far since you have a good team, but here's an idea, try to put in a twist or two, because since 'once a ranger' aired, I had a hunch that the plot line will get overkilled by the fanfics like yours to come in the future, so try not to overkill the OAR plot and think of something cool that should happen.

Chapter 2: Ruminations of a Red ranger

Mack could feel it to...he felt really uncomfortable driving around with these 5 new rangers. He glanced at all the other Operation overdrive members and saw it on their faces as well...this was just too weird.

As he sat there, he tried to remember everything he knew about each ranger.

Carlos, the Black Space Ranger, had last been seen in action helping the Lost Galaxy Rangers fight a returned villain. The villain was destroyed, but the original Pink Galaxy ranger was killed as well.

Maya, the Yellow Galaxy Ranger, went on after the battle with Carlos and defeated her enemy's and had even managed to return her tribe to normal after they were turned to stone. The last anybody had seen, she helped the Lightspeed Rescue team and then disappeared, presumably back to her home planet of Mirinoi.

Rocky Desantos, the Blue Zeo ranger, had retired from active duty when he threw his back out in a karate match. His spot was taken over by a boy named Justin who used the blue Turbo ranger powers to fight Divatox. All Mack could think about though was how he wanted to ask where the ZEO powers had went...after the team switched to Turbo rangers...nobody ever used them again, save for Tommy, that ranger who helped finish off the Machine Empire on the moon. Mack made a mental note to ask rocky about Tommy's exploits, because except for the moon and his stint as the Red ZEO Ranger, he didn't know anything about him.

TJ, The red Turbo ranger, was a mystery to him...as far as Mack knew, TJ had been the Blue Space Ranger for a while now because his Red Turbo Ranger Powers were DESTROYED. Mack couldn't fathom how he had them, although he did hear about TJ participating in the Machine Empire climax.

Finally, He glanced at Kimberly, who mind you was by far the cutest. He gazed at her soft brown hair as it tossed in the wind of the speeding car. He remembered how her dino powers had been disabled and he passed her Ninja powers to another young woman named Katherine...so how was she here...

"Were here..." exclaimed Ronny as they pulled into the secret lair beneath the hartford Mansion.

As the rangers walked into the control room, they stopped short and proceeded to gasp. The Operation overdrive rangers had never before seen a person (if it was one) liek this in their lives. He was covered from head to toe in Blue armor, and carried a samurai saber on his back in a sheath.

"Greetings, Operation Overdrive Rangers, my name is Ninjor and I have come to warn you that without your powers, the Earth will fall!"

Wouldn't Rose be the one who would have any idea about former ranger.And even then she wouldn't actually know the past rangers real names.And Ninjor?WTF mate.This is just horrible.

Ok, here's the thing...Ninjor is there because i'm doing differently. mack has more knwoledge then he should, ninjor is there, and other rangers came back.....it gets funkier. So if you guys don't like a re-interpretation, my suggestation is to stop reading....because it is going to be very different.

About my previous comment, all I meant was I thought you would have the rangers in color order, (Red, Blue, Yellow, Black Pink), unless that orders like the old morphing order from MMPR (Black, Pink, Yellow, Blue, Red) then that is also fine.

I like your take on "Once a Ranger..." Ninjor is a great twist, and I'll elaborate, because does anyone truly think someone as powerful as him would waste all eternity in a friggin temple. He was always a favorite of mine, granted once I saw Kakuranger, I enjoyed him even more. But good use of an older character, can't wait to see what other cameos you use.

Chapter 3: Animal spirits awaken.

"Um Ninjor?" asked the confused Will...

At this point Kimberly stepped forward. She held up her Pteradactyl power coin.

"Ninjor is the one who made the first set of powers for the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. A long time ago, I received the Pteradactyl dino power coin, but I lost those powers due to my zord being destroyed. Ninjor created a new power coin for me, the Pink Ninja Crane power coin, until that was destroyed...although it wasn't in my possesion at the time."

"Why not?" asked Rose.

"I had left the team to train in the Pan Global Gymnastics games. I gave my power coin to a girl named Katherine Hillard."

Next, Rocky stepped forward.

"I was once the red Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger. I to had a power coin, although I recieved mine when the original team leader, Jason, left the team. The power coin Jason used was damaged along with the other dino coins, and I recieved the Red Ape Ninja Power Coin from Ninjor...until that too was destroyed. I then harnessed the ower of the ZEO crystal to become the Blue ZEO ranger. I left the team when I threw my back out and the other rangers took charge of the turbo powers..."

Andrew was dumbfounded "You guys found the ZEO crystal....!"

Rocky just chuckled " Yep, but after we switched to the turbo powers, the ZEO powers were put on standby. After all, we weren't drawing our power from the morphing grid as much as we should of. Instead, we were harnessing the raw power of the ZEO crystal! Oh, and before you ask, the original Tyrannosaurus dino power coin is currently with Jason."

"OK...now what about you three?" asked Ronny.

Carlos looked at TJ and nodded. TJ stepped forward to speak.

"Carlos and I joined the Turbo Ranger team when four other veteran rangers stepped down to lead normal lives. I became the Red Turbo Ranger and Carlos became the Green Turbo Ranger. We fought many battles until our mentor Zordon was kidnapped and our Power Chamber was destroyed...which in turn nullified our Turbo Powers. We then traveled into space to stop all the villains from destroying the universe..."

Carlos then took over.

"We met a man named Andros from the planet KO-35. He gave us new space powers. TJ became the the Blue Space Ranger and I became the Black Space Ranger. We all kept our powers at the end of the war. All the villains were destroyed when Zordon sacrificed himself with Andro's help and spread his energy throughout the universe..."

But now Mack was confused. " If you lost your powers TJ, then um, why are you morphed?"

TJ chuckled as well and answered "During our time as Turbo Rangers, we met to sentient car aliens. Each car carried a spare morpher, one for me and one for our Blue Ranger Justin. I had the option to come as red or blue, and since Rocky was coming, I chose red!"

Finally, Maya stepped forward.

"To make a long story short, I'm from another planet. Through a series of events, I gained ranger powers when I pulled a saber from a stone..."

Dax chimed in "Like King Arthur!"

Maya just laughed "Sort of, and I'm the yellow Galaxy Ranger."

Ninjor then strode forward and said "Rangers, you have a serious problem...your powers as the Overdrive rangers have been taken away, and the world is in great danger. All of you, new and old, must use your powers to combine forces and beat Thrax.

"But how, without our powers we can't morph!?" chimed in Tyzonne.

Ninjor just stared at him.

" You six are about to become temporarily powered until your true powers can be regained....the powers of the ninja animal spirits of the original Power Rangers!
