Deserted town in Mexico June 5th 2010
Blake ran as fast as he could down the deserted street, the moon hung low in the sky as it casts the shadows of his attackers who where close behind him. Blood trickled from the cut above his left eye as he ran hard, then coming to an ally he ducked inside, hoping he could lose them, his breath became shallow as he hugged the wall... He could hear the men stop running and now talking into their radios, Blake closed his eye’s and listen to their footsteps, ‘how could things go so wrong, man I wish you were here bro’ he thought to himself as he stood in the shadows and waited...
One year Prior
Blake and Hunter walked down the side of a building, it was around midnight and soon they saw a small line of people waiting to get inside the building... They walked outside the line and up to the large dark skinned bouncer guarding the door, Blake looked up at the guy and said, “We’re here to see Tee, I’m Blake and this is my brother Hunter” The bouncer didn’t say a thing, he just nodded and let them inside... From there The two brothers walked along the narrow hall that lead to the main club area, Blake and Hunter both grinned as they look about the place. It was very nice, there were elegant lamps that gave off a dim light that was just bright enough to let you see well, it had a clean neon bar area that was set away from the large dance floor which was full of people moving to the sooth rhythm of the music that fill the room, the music wasn’t to loud but not to soft either... Around the dance floor was a rail and walk way that was set about five inches from the floor, Hunter lead as they walked the path, looking around... Most clubs they’d been to usually had an atmosphere about it that let you know that a fight would take place, but this place was different, strange even because it seem more controlled for some odd reason.. Like there were rules that everyone kept and everyone seemed happy.
As Hunter and Blake walked they noticed the walk way split off, one way to go back around to the bar and the other was to a higher level that was the VIP lounging area, this area was separated by a large wall that had a black mirror, they walked the path to the lounge, as they did so they noticed to large guys in suits come up behind them... They tensed a bit, ready for anything when they heard a voice from the side on them, “Relax boys. there’s nothing to get tensed about... yet” the man said laughing a bit, he then gestured for the two to sit on the couch near him, they did as they looked over at each other then back to the man who sat in the shadows.
“So a mutual friend told us we get some help from you as a sponsor” Blake said leaning forward a bit to try and get a look at the guys face, but when he did so one of the lights above the man shown in his eyes and he leaned back...
“That’s why your here” Tee said as he smiled, “I’m always looking out for new blood, you both have a lot of potential and a nice history”
Hunter frowned, “What do YOU know about our history?” he asked sternly,
“That’s not important now, all that is important is that you want a sponsor so you can race and I want to sponsor you”
“But why, there are a lot of racers with ‘potential’ why us?” Blake asked glancing over to the wall to see that the black mirror was actually a two way, he could see the people out there dancing, “It really doesn’t look like Motor Cross is something your into anyways”
The man leaned up a bit to let them see his face, they didn’t recognize him but they took note of what he looked like, his black hair was slicked back as a ear ring shown in one ear, by his features one could tell he was part Indian, he had on a black suit with a Red and white tie on, he also had an emerald pinky ring as well... “Oh you’d be surprised what I’m interested in” he said smiling as he leaned back once again, “Listen boys, when your in the kind of business I’m in, in this world... You try to get ahead of the game before the other players realize it, you have to find the diamonds in the rough because they are the most valuable” then standing up he looked at them as he started to walk across the lounge, quickly Hunter and Blake followed, “you know boys, if you let me be your sponsor I promise you, You’ll have the time of your lives” Tee said as he lead them over to a balcony that over looked the entire club, and then turned to them, “Ask anyone down there, I have help each of them in some way and they help me in return, I’m a giving person and it comes back, that’s the kind of thing I do, now I don’t just help anyone, only those who are loyal and responsible to what I give them, and I believe you two to be such people... But the end decision is up to you”
Blake looked over at Hunter who seemed to be just as intrigued as he was, “Sounds like a deal then...” Hunter said as he shook Tee’s hand...
Now...
Blake heard the people falling back now, peeking around the corner he saw them leaving... With a sigh of relief he went back to the ally and pulled out his hand gun, then dropping it into a near by trash can he left back to his hotel to get himself cleaned off...

As Blake walked down the lit streets of a town in Mexico he could see one of the larger buildings that had *The Byrne Hotel* on it with huge metal letters, Blake smirked as he casually walk to the front entrance where he was approached by a bell boy he’d come to know as Will ...
“Mr. Bradley! Mr. Bradley I’m so glad I found you, I have a message from your brother sir.” he said urgently, but Blake didn’t really take it to heart since the boy seemed to take everything a little to seriously...
“First off Will, I told you” Blake said a little irritated and turning to the boy, “The name’s Blake, and my brother is Hunter... we don’t care for the whole Mr. Bradley thing”
“Sorry Mr. Brrr... Blake, but the message-”
“Yeah yeah, lets have it I wanna get to my room already” he said folding his arms,
“r-right, um, Mr. Hunter said to tell you that he was sorry he couldn’t make the meeting but he had other business”
Blake just looked at him as if waiting for more but when he saw he didn’t have anymore a look of bewilderment crossed his face, “You mean that’s it, he left me hanging and all he tells me is that!” Blake said angrily as he went inside, Will following close behind,
“I’m sorry sir, but that’s all he told me to tell you” he said feeling responsible even though he had nothing to do with it... Blake stopped and sighed,
“no, I’m not mad at you okay, just...” quickly he reached into his pocket and pulled out a fifty dollar bill and shoved it in Will’s hand, “Listen thank you for the message, but right now I really just wanna get to my room, do me a favor and ring me if he comes back while I’m up there okay?”
Will nodded and walked away, Blake just shook his head and started back to his room when suddenly he ran into a blond headed woman, “Hey watch it!” she said in a whiny type voice, but then the woman stopped and looked at him, “Blake?”
Blake almost turned a color of green, “Tori...”

“What do you mean your not running the Thunder academy anymore!” Tori said in shock, Tori, Shane, Cam and Dustin all looked in disbelief at Blake and Hunter as they just told them the news.
Blake was the next to speak, “Listen I know your probably shocked and even upset, but Hunter and I just feel that being Sensei’s is just not our calling” he sighed as he looked over at his brother, pleading for help in his eye’s
“Listen we want to be in Motor Cross, that’s our life! We got a sponsor now and we’ll be leaving in a few weeks for our first gig, we’ve got someone to take over the academy already and everything” Hunter said to the others,
“I guess we just understand why you guys can’t be happy for us” Blake said looking at them, Dustin sighed a bit and walked over in between the two, placing his hands on their shoulders,
“We are happy bro, it’s just... it’s just hard to get our minds around it, that‘s all” he said gesturing his hands as he spoke,
Shane then stepped forward, “But we do understand” he said looking back at Cam and Tori.
Cam nodded, but Tori still seemed mad... A while later Blake and Tori went into the woods to talk.
“Why do you have to leave? I mean, I know you have your Motor cross thing now but...” Tori cast down her eyes,
“But you’ll miss me?” Blake said raising an eye brow,
“Well yeah, just like Dustin will” she said trying to make it sound like it was only out of friendship, but deep inside she always wanted more between them, but Blake never seemed to want to take that next step. Every time she brought it up he’d change the subject and she just tried to accept that maybe she just was not the one he wanted to be with... They walked along in silence, as that would be their last time spending time together alone for a long time.
Now...
“Blake what are you doing here” she said more upset than glad,
“well I could ask you the same thing, at least you seemed glad to see me” he said sarcastically, but he then saw something in her eyes he didn’t quite understand, “is something wrong?”
Tori looked him over, she noted that he was dirty, his hair disheveled, his jacket was ripped and there was a small stain on his lower pants leg, “maybe I should ask you that, you look like you’ve been through a war” she said with a frown,
Blake looked down at himself, “yeah I um, got into it a little with someone at a party” he said trying to sound convincing,
Tori stared at him not moving a muscle, “really, what's that?” she said gesturing to the stain, Blake looked down and,
“Blood” he said casually, “fights sometime consist of it, I’m going to my room now to get cleaned up”
Tori nodded and started outside, then turning, “Dustin and Shane are here to, maybe we can get together and catch up, where’s Hunter by the way?”
“I doubt we can get together, we’ll be leaving soon and a far as Hunter I’m not sure where he is, haven’t seen him all day...” and with that he quickly turned and went through the doors that lead to the stairway, once out of sight he sprinted to his room and closed the door behind himself. Just as he did so his cell rang, picking it up he answered it, “Bee here”
“Dude you gotta get outta there” Hunter’s voice sounded a bit shaken,
“Bro where you been! I waited ten minutes and had to do the job myself!”
“Yeah I’m sorry about that but we’ve got bigger problems, the old gang is here...”
“Yeah I know I just ran into Tori”
“What! Okay man you gotta get out know, their onto us”
“Who is?”
“The Guardians bro, they are getting a bunch of retired Rangers to help, including the old gang, now that Tori has seen you we’re going to be suspects... get out now!” And with that Blake hung up, grabbed an already packed duffle and ninja streaked out the window, not noticing a black and red Jeep not to far off with two people inside...
“If that doesn't scream guilty I don’t know what does” Wes said slyly, looking over at Tori,
“I still think your wrong” Tori said looking at him,
“Love does cloud things you know...”
“I’m NOT in love with him, I just know him... He’d never do what you say he could have done or work for who you say.”
“People change girly, trust me... people change...”

Hunter hung up his cell and left the VIP lounge of “the spot“ another small club that Tee owned right on the outskirts of Mexico. Entering the main club area he walked around to the sitting area where a young woman waited with a glass filled with a red liquid... The lights around the area seemed to cause her light brown eyes seem as they were looking right through him, as he grew closer he couldn’t help but stare, her reddish brown hair stood out from her dark skin, the strange thing was that it was her natural hair color... She had told him it came from some Irish heritage and that it didn’t come so noticeable until she reached her older teen years which spared her the cruelty of the other children in that respect. Hunter had told her that though it might have been weird it made her look even more beautiful, which he believed was true. “I want to thank you again Lilly, my bro and I could have put ourselves in a lot more trouble if we didn’t know the Guardians had been on our trail” Lilly smiled, as she did so two dimples, one on each check went in, a feature Hunter loved about her.
“well Tom is not the only one with resources here, besides I could let my boy get hurt” she said as she gazed into his eyes, Hunter chuckled a bit but then tilted his head,
“Tom? Who’s tom?” he asked feeling as if it was a stupid question,
“Oh right, you only know him as Tee” Lilly said with a smirk, “I forget he calls himself that, he used to be called Tommy but I guess he wants to leave as much of his past behind him, and in this business that’s the best thing to do.” Lilly then took a sip of her drink and glanced over the dance floor. Hunter nodded knowing not to ask any more,, he then followed her gaze and saw a couple dance to the upbeat music now playing in the air, their bodies swayed together in rhythm as one...
“You wanna dance?” Hunter asked as he turned back to her,
She smiled and turned to him, “I’d love too” and with that Hunter rose and offered his hand, she placed hers in his and raised herself as they headed for the dance floor...
Blake stood off in a distains and watched the two start dancing, furry and the feeling of betrayal filled him as he turned away,
“maybe it’s not what you think” a young woman said to him as she walked with him, her silver hair whisked back a little as she tried to keep up with him.
“Thanks Zhana, but it’s just as it looks like... My own bro left me hanging out there for a woman!” Blake said with rage, he turned away from the girl as his eyes glassed over, he couldn’t believe the betrayal. “Can you give me a ride back to town?” he asked as he casts his eyes to the ground...
“Of coarse” she said walking in front of him then placing her hand on his cheek she caused him to raise his head, “Hey I’m right here, if you need anything”
Blake nodded as he walked with her to her motorcycle and they left for town...
Months earlier....
Blake and Hunter raised their glasses to another victory on the race track, they had both won trophies for first and second place for the Wake Motor cross competition in north Carolina... A guy in all black sat with them in the lounge area of the spot in Florida, he raised his glass with the two with a smile, causing his dimples to go deep. “To another win for two great racers” he said in a kind voice as he sipped his drink,
“and to a great manager” Blake added as he nodded to the man,
“Definitely” Hunter said taking a swallow of his drink, “Adam you are sooo the man!”
Adam shook his head, “no, no, you guys make the wins, I just get to the places” he said modestly and then looked just in time to see Zhane walk in raising his hand to get his attention he watched Zhane smile and come over to their table, grabbing a chair and whipping it around backwards he straddled it and greeted the three,
“Why isn’t it the winning team” he said with a wink, “I saw you match in NC, you know the only reason you got first place Hunter is because my daughter wasn’t in that race” he said with a smile...
Hunter rolled his eyes, “yeah right, no offence Zhane but I could ride circles around Zhana-rone” he said gulping a bit more of his drink,
“Well I don’t know Bro, Zhana’s pretty good” he said giving him a playful punch on his arm.
On their way out Hunter tripped over a cat that ran past, losing his balance he was about to hit the ground, bracing himself he realized he was in mid air, he looked to find a woman holding his hand and side, raising him up the woman smile, “I’m sorry, Mattie likes to do that to people” she said looking him over, “are you okay?”
“Ah yeah I’m fine, thanks” Hunter said brushing himself off while keeping his eyes locked on hers, he then looked down at the gray cat that now sat calmly next to the girl. Blake then offered a hand to her,
“yeah thanks for saving him, I’d hate to have to deal with all the hassle of a funeral” he said jokingly, “Names Blake and the clumsy ox of a brother is Hunter”
“Names Lilly” she said laughing at Blake’s comment...
“Nice name” Hunter said finally then looking at the cat in puzzlement then back her, “that’s your cat? Very obedient”
Lilly looked down at her cat, “Oh yes sure, Mattie is very obedient when she wants to be, I have more behaved ones at home” she said with a grin. Blake and Hunter looked at each other and then at her,
“Um” Blake tilted his head, “Aren't you a bit young to be a cat lady?” he asked, receiving a hard elbow in his side from Hunter,
“Oh well I guess so, but Cats have always... gravitate to me” she said a bit like there was a secret she kept... Hunter gazed into her eyes, they were hypnotic to him and he just felt he needed to know the girl, but didn’t proceed on it when Blake said they had to leave... but later that night at their hotel Hunter ran into her again and they talked for hours, finding out they both knew Tee and a lot of other things they did and didn’t have in common.

Hunter nodded knowing not to ask any more,, he then followed her gaze and saw a couple dance to the upbeat music now playing in the air, their bodies swayed together in rhythm as one...
“You wanna dance?” Hunter asked as he turned back to her,
She smiled and turned to him, “I’d love too” and with that Hunter rose and offered his hand, she placed hers in his and raised herself as they headed for the dance floor...
Blake stood off in a distains and watched the two start dancing, furry and the feeling of betrayal filled him as he turned away,
“maybe it’s not what you think” a young woman said to him as she walked with him, her silver hair whisked back a little as she tried to keep up with him.
“Thanks Zhana, but it’s just as it looks like... My own bro left me hanging out there for a woman!” Blake said with rage, he turned away from the girl as his eyes glassed over, he couldn’t believe the betrayal. “Can you give me a ride back to town?” he asked as he casts his eyes to the ground...
“Of coarse” she said walking in front of him then placing her hand on his cheek she caused him to raise his head, “Hey I’m right here, if you need anything”
Blake nodded as he walked with her to her motorcycle and they left for town...
Months earlier....
Blake and Hunter raised their glasses to another victory on the race track, they had both won trophies for first and second place for the Wake Motor cross competition in north Carolina... A guy in all black sat with them in the lounge area of the spot in Florida, he raised his glass with the two with a smile, causing his dimples to go deep. “To another win for two great racers” he said in a kind voice as he sipped his drink,
“and to a great manager” Blake added as he nodded to the man,
“Definitely” Hunter said taking a swallow of his drink, “Adam you are sooo the man!”
Adam shook his head, “no, no, you guys make the wins, I just get to the places” he said modestly and then looked just in time to see Zhane walk in raising his hand to get his attention he watched Zhane smile and come over to their table, grabbing a chair and whipping it around backwards he straddled it and greeted the three,
“Why isn’t it the winning team” he said with a wink, “I saw you match in NC, you know the only reason you got first place Hunter is because my daughter wasn’t in that race” he said with a smile...
Hunter rolled his eyes, “yeah right, no offence Zhane but I could ride circles around Zhana-rone” he said gulping a bit more of his drink,
“Well I don’t know Bro, Zhana’s pretty good” he said giving him a playful punch on his arm.
On their way out Hunter tripped over a cat that ran past, losing his balance he was about to hit the ground, bracing himself he realized he was in mid air, he looked to find a woman holding his hand and side, raising him up the woman smile, “I’m sorry, Mattie likes to do that to people” she said looking him over, “are you okay?”
“Ah yeah I’m fine, thanks” Hunter said brushing himself off while keeping his eyes locked on hers, he then looked down at the gray cat that now sat calmly next to the girl. Blake then offered a hand to her,
“yeah thanks for saving him, I’d hate to have to deal with all the hassle of a funeral” he said jokingly, “Names Blake and the clumsy ox of a brother is Hunter”
“Names Lilly” she said laughing at Blake’s comment...
“Nice name” Hunter said finally then looking at the cat in puzzlement then back her, “that’s your cat? Very obedient”
Lilly looked down at her cat, “Oh yes sure, Mattie is very obedient when she wants to be, I have more behaved ones at home” she said with a grin. Blake and Hunter looked at each other and then at her,
“Um” Blake tilted his head, “Aren't you a bit young to be a cat lady?” he asked, receiving a hard elbow in his side from Hunter,
“Oh well I guess so, but Cats have always... gravitate to me” she said a bit like there was a secret she kept... Hunter gazed into her eyes, they were hypnotic to him and he just felt he needed to know the girl, but didn’t proceed on it when Blake said they had to leave... but later that night at their hotel Hunter ran into her again and they talked for hours, finding out they both knew Tee and a lot of other things they did and didn’t have in common.
