View Full Version : Power Rangers in Space was the best
Power Rangers in Space was the best season ever. What other season had all the Zordon Era villains take part as well as contained the best red ranger ever Andros? Not to mention they had the ninja turtles in an episode. You can't beat that :D....So yeah, PRIS was the best. Time Force who? :)

Time Force is WAY better! :D
That ninja turtles thing was actually VERY embarrasing... no offense xD

Obvious thread redux is obvious.
Power Rangers In Space's story was much more enjoyable to me than Time Force's. But about 70% of the board would disagree with me.
Not as embarrasing as Trips hair due.

So I guess 30% of this board got good taste then :)

Actually, Karone's (whoops Astronoma's) hair at the end was a little WTF. Her best hair was the purple/blue curls, hands down.
EDIT: LOL@King.

They were both great season but in facts Time Force other then MMPR is more liked by the fanbase who found the story great as well as the characters, even talks of a second season being done but never happening. Not to say In Space wasn't great becuase it was. Both are my personal favorites but this is once again just my two cents.

I'm not sure thats true. Maybe here its more liked, but throughout the whole fanbase?

Unfortunately, it is true. TF is the second most liked season overall.
I don't want it to be though.
I loved it! iS set some basis to the next seasons, and had a great, deep story in my opinion. It was the end of Turbo and the next season that made me became hooked to PR again.

People only remeber the second half of In Space, people forget how bad the first half was lol (pre-Zhane)

I remember them actually, episodes where Carlos had to pretend to be Ashley's boyfriend to get Ashley's aunt to lay off her about not being married.
Some of those episodes were great, dawg.

Power Rangers in Space was the best season we have ever had. I loved this season. My number 1 favorite :p
Everything was awesome.

Pre-zhane was great. Obviously the first two episodes were great and we also got episodes like "Never stop searching", "satellite search", "flashes of Darkonda", "The rangers mega voyage", etc....

I never liked the Ecliptor/Darkonda rivalry. The first half was poor because there wasn't much going on, it was just building up Andros or focusing the Darkonda/Ecliptor rivalry.
Second half was much better it was much funnier and natural, remeber when Zhane went out on a date with Astronema LOL

Exactly! Besides, the plot of iS could only start to be developed with Darkonda's presence - since he was the key who held Astronema's past. The only episodes I really didn't love that much were "The Wasp with a Heart" and "Andros and the Stowaway".

Lol, wasn't much going on? Those episodes where were the new megazords came in, the Karone thing was started, the team-up happened (although with only one ranger), and the Ecliptor/Darkonda thing was started.

Space was good...but the whole "space" idea shook me up at first. I eventually warmed up to it.

Maybe it was saban's idea to expand the PR cannon by showing planets and galaxies with their respective rangers (i was shocked when Andross said "You are planetary rangers, from earth, what do you know about space")
but this and the original one are THE definite favorites for me

I like In Space, too.. it was awesome because of the new cast starring four new rangers from Turbo, Andros and Zhane.
i also like those shiny megazords.. Mega Voyager Rules!
Ecliptor and Astronema look cool before they become more evil and brainwashed..
Andros shattered Zordon from the tube.. how sad.
oh yeah, Elgar also returned from Turbo, this time he worked with Astronema.

Space was cool, but Time Force, had a more mature storyline and better character development. Although, In Spaces' storyline was far more epic (in my opinion). To me, Time Force is better than In Space.

I disagree. TF lost all of its "matureness" when they turn Ransik into a funny character, making him lose the "vengeance against humans"' aspect. Besides, iS actually showed the story of a child who has died (Silvy's brother), as well as killed (definitely, and not temporarily like Alex's case) a character that everyone liked and/or respected: Zordon. The fight of death or life between Andros and his sister, the fact that the villains were a lot more "naturals" (thinking twice about they way they're acting (but in a slowly, more beliable way - unlike Ransik, who became good in like 1 minute for not even hurting (badly) his daughter)), ...
Besides, I don't see what is the great character development of that season. In fact, Wes and Jen's characters were the only ones who were trully explored, specially the first one. The only thing we know about Eric is his selfishness toward Wes (which got really boring after a while), and besides the "coolness" of Lucas (and the fact he was a drive racer), the brains of Trip and the strength of Katie, what we really know about these characters? Specially Katie, who had like three episodes of her own. The former turbo rangers, although didn't have a great story behind them (since they were only teenagers who wanted to live normal lifes) had a good character development, in my opinion, principally because it came from since half of Turbo. They grew up, becaming a lot more mature (although they still had their "kid time" - like in "A Rift in the Rangers"). Andros had a great character development, and Zhane, although not nearly as great as Andros (since he wasn't around most of the time), was well developed, too.

Yes, it was there all the time. But a villain who wanted to take vengeance at the human race in one moment, and in the next moment wears a ballerina dress doesn't really help.
Nope. There were other moments, too. I can say for example when he gets a "massage" from a Cyclobot. He asks the robot to be faster, the robot starts to hit him pretty hard and he destroys it in the end. Plus, even if it was only those two episodes, the damage to the serious image that Ransik had in the beginning was already done.

I don't see the massage thing stupid..it proves that Ransik gets angry fast :P
and that ballerina skirt thing.. I think it was funny..besides..the weird costumes thing happened to the rangers as well.. did it ruin their image?

I didn't say it was stupid, but an attempt to make him funny. Those scenes killed the seriousness of Ransik.
Nope, because they weren't serious by that time. Even Jen hadn't her bad attitude(s) like in the beginning of the series at that time. However, someone who turned out in a funny character couldn't have the attitude he had through the end of the series. Like, someone who was cleaning a human clothes so he could look better to his daughter couldn't really hate humans that much. However, like I said above, through the end of the series, he suddenly remembered that he still hated humans and went in a rampage against them. That was at least odd.

In Space had marvelous villains(Ecliptor, Darkonda, Dark Spector) A great team, awesome storyline and to top it all off, a gigantic finale which was to be the end of PR.
Unfortunately, it is true. TF is the second most liked season overall.
I don't want it to be though.
So far the current poll in the "Space vs. Time Force, Which Season is Better?" thread suggests otherwise.

I actually liked that aspect of Ransik. When he saw his goal in sight he would turn serious and go at it with incredible power and determination, but when back at home he was just a pretty regular guy. It's not like he spends every second of his day trying to destroy the TF rangers.
