GoOnger is JUST starting to get more interesting. I still think Toei is changing it's tactics from past years. We just had 23 and we already have 9 Engines and 7 Seijin. Last year in Gekiranger it started off slowly and then all of a sudden we went from 3 Seijin and 3 Mech, to 6 Seijin and 8 Mech. What's up with that?!

Engine-Oh G12, is Super Turbo Robo, on major steroids. I thought G9 was rediculous, now it just got a whole lot worse.

Ahh, another great episode. Even though Hiro is gone, it was still a great episode. So much development between Sousuke and Hiroto. I think I see a friendship forming even if Hiroto doesn't want it to.
I had to "Lol" at Sousuke fixing his hair in Miu's robe. So funny.

OK, granted it was in Japanese and I only know a few dozen words, nonetheless it was still very interesting. Nice to see Hiroto and Sosuke working together though.
-Detaramedes....extremely creepy. Nice to see that Yogostein has SOME decency about him, pleading with Hiramekimedes (I was about to spell it Hirakimedes) to not expose himself to the Bikkurium.
-Following on from the Detaramedes thing, it was surprising to see G9 get swallowed!
-Does Hiramekimedes regenerate or something since we see him in Ep 24?

I was wondering the exact same thing. Engine-Oh G12, reminds me of Super Turbo Robo, because it looks like it can hardly move. I feel sorry for the guy who's gonna have to do G12's suit work.

Me three. The thing looks a little too much. G6 is alright, G9 looks cool, but G12 is a bit too much. Although one thing I've noticed is that yes, we do have an olympic theme, but does anyone else here know what the colours of the other three engines are? Because if we have a purple one, then we've got the whole rainbow-Red (Speedor), Orange (Carrigator), Yellow (BearRV), Green (Birca), Blue (Buson), Indigo (Jumbo-whale) and Violet (random engine :P)


And resurrecting a forgotten argument, is Toripter female or male? Wikipedia states male, Super Sentai.com states female, do we have an official source that can confirm this? IMHO, I'm thinking female but with a military-style voice (think of Miss MerryChristmas in One Piece)

As far as the gender of the Go-On Wings Engines go, I believe they did a counter-gender sort of thing. Since Go-On Gold is male he has a female engine and since Go-On Silver is a female she has a male engine. I could be wrong, but that's how I've been looking at it.

Title- Saisho no Egao (The First Smile)

Summary- The Ginjiro breaks down while the Go-onger are driving through a forest, stranding Sosuke and the others by a 1,000 year old cedar tree. Saki sees a small boy hiding in the trees watching them, and goes to find him, thinking he may be a stray child. Suddenly, a monster who seems to be a fallen warrior attacks Saki. Meanwhile, the other Go-onger are attacked by the ghost of Hiramekimedes, Urameshimedes and other beings of the dead.

GP 25:
Title- Okan Sayonara (Goodbye Mother)
Airs- 8/10/08
Summary- The Go-onger take a summer vacation at an Inn once owned by Ren's parents. When they get there, they find that the place is being used by kids to dump garbage. Ren is reminded of his mother by the things in the house that has been trashed, and the fact that Ren's mother someone who worked at a recycling plant. Meanwhile, Kitaneidas and Kegaleshi look for a BankiJyu on the beach.

GP 26:

On a more important note, Saki found something with in herself, a strength she found only when meeting the ghost boy again. This was a touching episode, I recommend everyone see it.. Or.. Wait 'til it's subbed and then see it when it makes more sense!

Amen to that! I was laughing at the boys facial expressions on more than one occasion. It was a very touching episode (and I don't speak Japanese either). I was freaked out with the whole monster/Hiramechimedes ghost thing.

And I found Ep 25 to be really enjoyable. Nice to see a time when the Go-Ongers are relaxing. And it's also nice to see some more backstory to Renn as well. Loved the teamwork between Hiroto, Gunpei and Renn. I had to laugh at Hanto's inflatable whale as it reminded me so much of his partnership with Birca. And let's not forget Sosuke dancing around in the inner tube completely shirtless. :D
Ep 26 looks verrrry interesting....now Super Sentai is a soap opera! :P

I'm pretty sure the rumors of Engineman changed to GoRoader GT, just figure you'd like to know.

I also haven't heard anything about a powerup, just the GanGanBer, which is just a blaster. But these things do sound like they're going to be awesome.

I think that because they don't actually have partners, where as it is assumed that Go-Roader GT will be piloting them.. I think.. That they're like CarryGator, here in the human world to battle the Gaiarc empire..

Again it's assumed that Go Roader GT is going to be piloting the Dino-Enjins. Sort of like how the Blue Senturion piloted the RoboRacer..

After watching Go-Onger 26 twice (one RAW, one subbed) and 27 RAW, I have these comments:

Episode 26:
-Nice to see some romance in this episode: the BearRV/Jetras/Nigorl triangle and the whole I-like-Sosuke-but-I-don't-want-to-admit-it-thing from Miu.
-Wow, I didn't realise that Engines could blush :P BearRV looked so cute when she was blushing. It was nice though when she went and rescued Jetras, although slight plot hole: BearRV cancelled the fusion to go save Jetras, but if Jetras was knocked off, then technically wouldn't the fusion be cancelled anyway? Meh, there are other plot holes that I won't go into.
-Had to laugh at Miu not wanting to admit that she liked Sosuke, but her actions made it obvious.
-The whole Kegaleshia/Nigorl thing. I had to laugh when she was reluctant to spend time with him, let alone reviving the Arerunbra family. But in all honesty, Nigorl was a bit weird...(especially if he thought that BearRV was beautiful, ditto for Kegaleshia)

Episode 27 (or what I could pick up from the raw version)

-Birca finally wins a race woohoo!!!!
-Had to laugh at Hanto in drag, both in the middle of and at the end of the episode. Although then again, he does have that bishonen-esque quality about him, so it does suit him sort of. Next thing I know, he'll give up being a Go-Onger permanently and wind up working as a maid for the Wings :P
-Nice to see the Wings joining in on the search for Hanto rather than having the Wings just run to the core team's aid everytime they fight. Also loved the fact that Birca got a bit more screentime.
-Looooved the ending! Nice to see Birca finally gets some recognition here instead of just being the (cute) motorcycle/orca that speaks so many languages. (Gunpherd has had a bit more screen-time than Birca incidentally)

Can't wait for the subbed episode of 27 AND the arrivals of the other Engines.

Well, Jetras is just a shoulder piece, where as Bear RV is at the center of G9 (and any Engine-O combo for that matter) as well as the connector for Jumbowhale. How would it look for Bus-On with Carrigator shoes to be walking around while Speedor is driving and dragging toripter with Gunpherd and a reverse Birca and wearing a Jetras helmet (because that's the only part of Jetras that wasn't taken off) and Jum-boWhale on his back because he wasn't expecting the cancelation. Wouldn't work too well really. Engin-O G9 could still work without a shoulderpiece, just... knock off 1/2 a G for G8 1/2.

I think Miu is just injured badly in Go-on 27 just like Eiji was in Boukenger....that happens to other male heroes in the older sentai series. She'll be back because she is shown in that pic for episode 31 I think it was. They get injured like that badly and would come back into action a couple episodes later after they recover.

Yeah thats for sure. I think that with go-onger they are exploring things like a 12 zord combination. Now that i am thinking it here is how it goes:



Sun Vulcan the first 3 core team had also the first combining robot (a two piece) (gattai)

Liveman the second 3 core team had the first combination of two robots (super gattai)

Hurricaneger the third 3 core team had the first combination of three robots!

Now go-onger is going to have the first combination of four robots!!!

I notice alot of people dislike the look of the zords for RPM. Does anyone remember the Power Spheres http://www.rangercentral.com/prns-zd-spheres.htm from Ninja Storm? They were mini zords & they have the same style of the zords in Go-Onger.

Anybody read the summary for the upcoming ep. 34 yet? I think i'll definately watch that one since it could be the first concrete evidence of Gunpei/Saki. Supposedly, Saki's older sister Sanae manages to put the boys in a love spell which only Gunpei notices in an attempt to make Saki jealous.;) So by the end of Go-Onger, we'll most likely be having in terms of couples, Sosuke/Miu (pretty much confirmed already), and Gunpei/Saki possibly. I'll be crossing my fingers for when that episode does air if it does have evidence that it will be that way.

After Gunpei changed his opinion on that and became one of them, that role of thinking of the main team being immature and undeserving switched over to the Wings; Hiroto and Miu, although Miu kinda changed more quickly than Hiroto especially due to her liking Sosuke, and this incident may bring even more Gunpei/Saki closeness i hope.

They meet two young kids in dressed kimono, and who are also brothers, who say they want to return to their hometown. Their hometown happened to be Samurai World...

Summary-

To make use of the Ancient Engines' massive attack power, Renn researches and develops a new weapon, known as the GanGanBer. A sword, the weapon is designed after a railroad crossing. It can also unite with the MantanGun, to create the GanGanMantanGun.

Unlike other Go-onger weapons, the GanGanBer has two places to set EnjinSouls. When Tyrain and Kerain's souls are set respectively, the user is able to perform the "Crossing Stopper" attack, which launches Tyrain and Kerain's power at the enemy, in the form of a railroad crossing.

I decided to finally see GP 30 with subtitles since the first time i saw it, it was the RAW without subs, so definately helps when there's subs to help you through. I also saw GP 34 (Gunpei/Saki deserve each other and Sanae REALLY is the Devil), GP 35 (Miu's reaction to Sosuke turning to rust, need we say more?), and GP 36 (Definately loved how everyone was in agreement that Sosuke truly is the heart of the team, and when they fought i was rather suprised that it was Renn who temporarily took over the team leader role until Sosuke finally recovered. And i am definately hooked on the OP song. It's one of those songs that when you hear it the very first time, you don't like it, but after repeated listenings you eventually start to love it and i really do, i mean it.:)

I agree with pretty much everything you said.

GP36 is the best episode so far. Got a lot of drama and emotion. I like that. I thought the go-on wings are slowly realizing that they are a part of go-ongers too. EPIC.

Some interesting plots/themes wanting to see:

1. Miu-Sosuke Story.
2. Gunpei VS Hiroto (They have a rivalry)
3. Hiroto caring for the Go ongers team. Hiroto has a soft side. I know he is cool and powerful.
4. Gunpei's true value or purpose. I thought he was suppose to be second in command by the way he acts. But props to Renn. It just shows being smart is valuable.
5. Gunpei/Saki.
6. Who will be the Final Villain?
7. DaiShogun gantai.

I love this super sentai team. Some people think is hysterical or just plain stupid. But I think superficial is Deep. Light and some emotional twist to it. Love the action though. Its not comparable to gekiranger.

I recently decided to swallow my pride and go on (no pun intended:D) seeing GP 31. The main reason i didn't really wanna see it is because i'm usually not a big fan of J-Idol music. When it comes to Japanese music, i'm more of a J-Rock fan. When i saw the episode, i was rather happy that the Gaiark's song was a J-Rock piece. And i also absolutely loved Hiroto's acoustic piece, and don't worry Hiroto your talent is recognized by me at least so you definately have a fan in your corner. As for the G3 Princesses' song, it was actually kinda ok. They basically put their own spin on the ED song (which i forgot to say the first time around, i'm also hooked on the ED song as well). I definately liked the friendship chemistry Saki, Miu, and Kegalesia had during the process of becoming idols. Too bad Kegalesia made it clear to them that next time they meet, they're back to being enemies.:( IMO, i hope the ending of the show somehow features Kegalesia becoming good since she is that adorable with her "ojarus" and the possibility could be there if there is an enemy that changes her whole perspective on polluting the Earth.

The way Bear RV kept talking about Jetras (those stripes, that figure, etc.) and how she would turn red makes me think that if she had him alone she'd want him to do the deed if she's THAT into him.;) And i don't really wanna imagine that scenario so i'll leave it at that. The flashback Miu has showing she does care about Sosuke was very funny how Miu was all like trying to erase it and asking, "Why did i remember THAT?!" with Saki understandably asking her "What are you doing?":D The ending in terms of the Engine romance wasn't exactly what i thought it would be, seems Bear RV just wants romance from ANY "strong" man and turned down Jetras for being "weak" as well as imitating her, with Jetras trying to explain it was part of the plan but to no avail. So in terms of human and Engine romance, i hope all couples (Sosuke/Miu, Gunpei/Saki, Jetras/Bear RV) manage to end up together in the end. I'm just an incurable romantic and one of the main reasons i love Go-Onger is due to the romance subplots which Gekiranger seriously lacked; the only confirmed coupling there was Rio and Mele; while in Boukenger the possibilities of Satoru/Sakura and Masumi/Natsuki were definately there. The first one managed to somewhat go somewhere by the time of the Geki vs. Bouken teamup, shame the latter didn't really advance that much.:(
