Welcome Tommy5, thank you for your time. This interview will consist of 15 questions or more.

This interview should be completed within a week, but at the same time there are a few situations that may cause delay in completion. These situations include school, work, family events, emergencies, computer problems, etc. If one occurs just let me know through this thread or via Private Message, and we can continue this interview on a later date. I will let you know if anything in my life comes up as well.

Note that personal questions will not be asked in this interview.

I think I have covered everything so let us begin :D

Your username; can you tell everyone the origin of your name? How you came up with it? Does it have a meaning to fan fic, or character you made up, or someone in Power Rangers?

well my user name was created because I like Tommy but unfortunatly Tommy would already be taken as a user name. Then I remembered the data card I made for Tommy that had his unmorphed picture with the his 5 Ranger forms. So one day I found Rangerboard and made Tommy5 my user name and ever since I've used it as my user name on multiple Power Ranger forums.

Name your top 5 favorite seasons of Power Rangers. Why are they your favorites? Did you like the villain's for these seasons? Is there anything you might slightly change about it?

Power Rangers In Space-Silver Ranger,Andros, Turbo Rangers becoming Space Rangers, Psycho Rangers, Ecliptor, Justin getting his Powers back and getting a proper goodbye, return of Adam, space theme

Mighty Morphin Season 2-White Ranger Tommy, Zedd, Adam, Aisha, Rocky, Thunderzords, Return of the Green Ranger

Dino Thunder-Brought back Tommy, Trent, the episode that recapped all the series from Mighty Morphin-Ninja Storm, the Dino Thunder-Ninja Storm Teamup

Ah, cool.

A great evil is loose. It's your job to construct a ranger team. Out of all the rangers available from all the different Power Ranger/Sentai seasons, which ones would you want on the team? These can be from each season and you can have whoever you like, so Five Rangers one Sixth ranger Or SPD style and have 8.
In addition, why you would chose them as well, what makes them good enough?

Adam-Black Ranger: Hes proved that he can be a leader and hes never backed down from a challenge

Rocky-Blue Zeo Ranger: Underestimated by his opponents and is a true team player

TJ-Red Turbo Ranger: Strong, swift and courageous

Ashley-Yellow Space Ranger: strong fighter, never gives up

Kendrix-Pink Lost Galaxy Ranger: Fights to the end no matter how high the odds are stacked against her

Ryan-Titanium Ranger: Same as TJ

Eric-Quantum Ranger: his strength knows no bounds and never gives up

Thus far which Power Ranger/Super Sentai team up has been your favorite? Why is it your favorite? What has made it your favorite? Was there anything that the team up was lacking? Explain.

hmm team ups well for Sentai I'd have to say Ohranger Vs Carranger

as far as Power Rangers, I liked mostly amost of them but I'll explain why

Rangers of 2 Worlds: Aquitar Rangers fighting alongside the Zeo Rangers was awesome

True Blue to the Rescue: I consider this a team up and I liked it because it brought back Justin's character and gave him back his Turbo Powers and gave him a proper send off

Always a chance: Adam returning to help Carlos brought forth a ling between the old and the new at the time and just seeing Adam Morph and risking his life, that is what being a Ranger is all about, fighting to the end

To the Tenth Power: Return of the Space Rangers and the Psycho Rangers which gave the Lost Galaxy Rangers an actual opponent

The Power of Pink: Kendrix sacrificing herself for another and like adam, showig us what being a Ranger is truly all about

Trakeena's Revenge: United the 2 Teams of Mirinoi and the Earth together to stop an enemy even though they knew nothing of each other, plus the Lights of Orion Powering up The Omega Megazord

Time For Lightspeed: United the Rangers of the Future with the Rangers of the Past, both 6th Rangers present and all the Battlizers

Reinforcements from the Future: Brought an old enemy to the side of good, answered some questions unanswered in the Time Force Ending

Forever Red: United 12 Red Rangers together to face the Generals of the Machine Empire from Zeo, Serpentera and bringing back the first and the best Red Ranger Jason

Thunder Storm: Fight scenes between the core Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder Rangers, the uunity that each Ranger had with one another in the actual fight against the united Evil Forces, Tommy being a former evil Ranger working with both Blake and Hunter who were Evil Rangers

Once a Ranger: Brought back Adam and Restored his powers, Restoration of old Ranger Powers, Alpha, refrences to Tommy and going to Angel Grove


I didn't like these because History was just to boring with only the 3 core Dino Rangers and Wormhole seemed to unorganized and Jason David Frank not being present

Woah, that's a lot.

In Power Rangers, we are seeing a lot more Rangers with genetic powers, which one that appeared in the show would you want and why? What would you do with it? Would you use it for personal gain? Would you tell anyone about your gift?

so far I really don't like the genetic powers, the old Rangers had to rely on their own abilities that an everyday person had, So I'd have to say no genetic powers because I want to rely on my own skills like a true Ranger does

Out of all the Rangers who is your favorite and why what is so great about them? Did they do anything that you really liked about them more? Would you change anything about them?

hmm favorite Ranger well I can't play favorites with Rangers because each brings something different that makes them who they are

the Ranger that I can say that I like is Tommy, hes had the most experiance, hes faced the most challenges and hes a true martial artist that will fight to the end to protect the earth

Do you watch any Sentai? If so do you like to watch some before a new season of PR starts? Which Sentai seasons have you seen? What is there about Sentai that you like that you wished they would do in PR?
If you have not seen any Sentai, would you like to? If not, why?

I've seen an episode of Ohranger and I've Seen Ohranger Vs Carranger, however I don't really get into Sentai primarily because its in Japanese and I hate reading the translations, I won't watch any sentai season before a Power Ranger Season comes out because I want to see how the season turns out and not judge Power Rangers with Sentai

Dang..sorry I've got too many at the moment ugh I hate it when this happens..it's just I've got mine + pinkranger's so it gets a bit confusing..sorry about that.

What is the earliest Power Rangers memory you have? Was it watching the show? Getting some PR merchandise? What was it that made you keep watching?

hmm well during the 90's and until about 2004 I never really watched Power Rangers because I'd never known what channel Fox Kids was on when I had cable, the in 2004 I moved and we got Dish so one day I saw Jetix and they were showing reruns of Ninja Storm and I remember seeing the Thunder Ranger episodes and then the Samurais journey and then I became hooked, up until then, I'd seen maybe a few minutes of like Mighty Morphin but never knew it was Power Rangers so for the past few years I say'd that I hated it but truth is, I never understood what it was all about

Then once Dino Thunder first aired in 2004, I saw the first episode and I saw Tommy and I was like "Hmm he must be really important to Power Rangers otherwise he wouldn't be in this episode", because in Ninja Storm the rangers were in their late teens, early 20's and Tommy was like i his 30's, so then I found out he had been a Ranger numerous times and thats when I started watching old seasons and really getting into Powers Rangers

Ah, cool...something similar happened to me..

SPD gave us our first female red ranger, yet she was evil. What are your thoughts and feelings of having a female red ranger leading the main team? Leading the side of good. What are your thoughts and feeling of having a female lead the main team for an entire season? Would you like to see another female red ranger? Do you think having one would go well with the fans? Do you think it would go well with the marketed audience (little kids)? Do you think it would go well with hard core fans (members of discussion boards)? Do you think Disney should make the next red ranger female even though in Sentai the ranger is male? Do you think they should wait for Sentai? Explain.

well as far as little kids, the audiance that Power Rangers is directed towards is mostly boys, they're used to seeing a Male Red Ranger that they'd wish they could be, as far as older fans, well it would be different but some people, like myself would like it kept as a Male Rangers position, not that I'm being sexist or anything but the male Red Ranger is what I'm used to seeing and I'm sure others agree with me on that

Did you like the fact of the original rangers leaving? Did it make you sad to see them go? Or were you happy about it? What did you think of the replacements? And what did you think about the rest leaving in later on in Turbo? What are your thoughts about this?

well when Zack, Trini and Jason left, i was sad but at the same time I knew that them leaving would bring new faces to the team

then for Turbo, I was glad that they left because to me it felt like adam, Tanya, Kat and Tommy just didn't belong in Turbo, I mean after Justin Replaced Rocky the team was never the same but when TJ,Ashley,Carlos and Cassie became the new Turbo Rangers, it felt right because they were new Rangers and they were in a sense fresh and with Justin the team was new and not Tommy and the others again and again

I know the feeling over them not belonging in Turbo..

Which villains in Power Rangers do you like the most? Which ones do you hate the most and why? Which Villain do you think beat the rangers more then any other one? Which one do you think would have been better in another season for example the villain in SPD might have been better in IS.

the one I liked was Zedd, he had the intent to take pver earth and almost succeded but got side tracked with Rita and other stuff. The villian I didn't like was Messagog, he got annoying after a while and all he wanted to do was bring the earth back to the era of the Dinosaurs. The villian that I felt beat the Rangers the most was probable Astronema with the Psycho Rangers. Then I felt that Grumm would've been better in In Space because he rarely fought on earth, mostly in space.

Do you like when a ranger team starts off with 5 and eventually is joined by a 6th ranger? Or do you like it when a team starts with 3 and eventually is joined by two or more? Explain within detail the one you prefer

I like the core 5 team, I mean 3 is nice but sometimes a series like Dino Thunder only has 5 Rangers, with 5 you can expect get get at least one or 2 more Rangers later on in the series

What aspect of Power Rangers is your favorite? (The posing, Zords, helmets, etc?)

I guess for me its the suits, I mean being the hero with these great powers but at the same time being regular people. Thats why I like Batman as well, because like Bruce, the Rangers live normal lives and fight evil but without super Powers like Superman or Green Lantern. I can relate to them more because under the suits they are average people fighting for a cause.

If you could create a Power Ranger season what kind of PR would you have, where would it be set, what year, what color be the leader, how many rangers? What would the villain be like?

hmm well thats hard for me to come up with, I guess it would be a season made up of 5 Rangers from 5 different Teams that were part of the core 5 Rangers that started their teams, the year would probable be 2010, celebrating 15 years of Power Rangers, the villian would be a cyborg that was once going to become a Ranger but due to a horrific accident, he was left battered and broken and someone else too his place, so it'd be like the Villian is getting revenge for being replaced

If you could create a Power Ranger team made up of Villains who and why?

same as the Rangers, well I mean a team of 5 evil villians from the past that came close to ruling the world, so I'd pick Zedd, Master Vile, Astronema, Lothor and Dai Shi

If you could make an adult version of PR more grown up so you could have more action and blood or swearing, what would you do to make it more for an older audience and what season would like to make as an mature season for adults? Also would you re-cast the same cast or pick new people?

well it would be a season that takes place after a tragedy takes place during Forever Red, this explains it

If you where asked to be a ranger in real life, which Villain would you want to battle, which PR outfit, which Ranger, which mentor and where about’s would you set it?

well if I were to be asked to become a ranger, then I'd want to be the Red Zeo Ranger, I'd be fighting Zedd because in the Show Zedd seemed like he was the type of villian that was willing to put up challenges, I'd have it set in Washington New Jersey, in the year 2008, because I'm a Junior in High School right now and the Zeo Rangers were Juniors in the beggining of the Zeo Season

Ok if you were a villain in PR, what kind of villain would you be? Would you have any powers?
Also we all know Villains always lose but in this case you will win, so what is your plan for destroying the Power Rangers and also which team would you like to destroy?

hmm well I'd be a villian thats basically Zedd, I'd take over the world and enslave the humans of earth so that I can use their resources to conquer other planets and galaxies, what I would do to the Rangers is strip them of their powers and brainwash them into serving me and then give them back the power but charged with evil so that they cannot be used for good ever again MMWWAHAHAHA!

For you to think about, you think being red ranger, in other words leader, is decided by gender and/or looks, or by capacity, leadership, and/or by a good heart?

well its all about leadership, I mean it takes a true leader who's willing to give direction to be a true Red Ranger

Yes, biggest factor.

Would you ever like to see a ranger go evil? Like is the villain in a new season?
If so which one and why? What do you think would make a ranger want to be a bad guy and fight for evil?
Or a ranger chose the side of evil half way though and season and stick with it, like they where betrayed or something else?

I think maybe the extra Rangers, they could be tricked into believing that evil wants to work with the Rangers but the evil brainwashes them and the rangers become evil

I can't see Rangers becoming evil halfway through a season just because if they were truly evil then they wouldn't have become Rangers in the first place

Which Power Rangers season had the best opening to a season and ending? What makes a good opening and Ending in your opinion?

[Tommy5]

well I'd say Space, The opening had the Rangers go into space, something they hadn't ever done before to save Zordon. For the Finale they fight the villians and unite the people of Angle grove to fight the Quantrons and the final sacrificing of Zordon as Zordon's last request. To me, the opening must take these Rangers out of their comfort zone and have them do what they normally wouldn't. As far as the ending goes, putting everything on the line to finally defeat the villian.

Is there an episode of Power Rangers that you do not like? Or is there something else in PR that annoys you?

I don't like episodes that are a waste of time, i mean like Don't Blow that Do, nothing new happened in that episode and it coulda been used as a Spirit Ranger episode

Which was your favorite ranger from each season? And only one, not two one you have to pick one! Just want to make it harder for you :p And why them?

MMPR Season 1, Jason: Strong Leader, set the standard for Red Rangers to come

MMPR Season 2, Adam: Best individual to eplace Zack, matured during Season 2 and started out his long success as a Legendary Ranger

MMPR Season 3, Billy: He stepped up as a true leader during this season, I mean he woulda made a great leader if he had been made a Ranger in Zeo

Zeo, Tommy: Earned the true position of Leader after 3 years of being the 6th Ranger and finally stepping up to the role of the Red Ranger as Leader

Turbo, TJ: The Season seemed right when he and the others came in because TJ was a new fresh face and became a true leader in Turbo

In Space, Andros: Learned to work with others after being joined by the other Space Rangers and became a stronger leader

Lost Galaxy, none

Lightspeed, Ryan: Struggled like Tommy to be on the side of good but fought and put everything on the line, including his life by Morphing to save innocent people

Time Force, Wes: went from being the Ric kid to a true team leader and true Red Ranger

Wild Force, none

Ninja Storm, Cam: Never complained about not being a Ranger, willing to go back in time to get the Samurai Power, Best Arc in Power Rangers

Dino Thunder, Trent: first White Ranger in 10 yrs, Struggling with evil side to do whats right,Dealing with his demons by defeating Evil Clone

oh man I kinda don't know that many people on here, but I'd say that you would be my Pink Ranger
