Piccolo Daimao saga. It was creepy, and for the first time the future Z-fighters were killed. It seemed that everything was over, and, besides, it was a little prequel of what we would see in the next season - Dragon Ball Z.

I liked the Red Ribbon Army Saga, seeing a young Goku becoming a one-man-army agianst (USSR-like) millitary force.
