Zeo Advent
http://www.rangertalk.com/showthread.php?t=2090
Well...this was originally going to be an RPG, but, nobody wanted to play. So, I've decided to just take the ideas I have and run with them, writing the sequel to my other fanfic, The Power Rangers (reboot).
"But, Blake," you all say, "you're still writing the first one!"
"Touche," I'll admit, "I am still writing the first one. Excellent observation."
However, comma, pause for effect, the enthusiastic approval (few people are commenting, and the ones that are say it's awesome) is inspiring me to come up with so many ideas, ideas that would only apply to a secondary story. I don't want to lose my ideas or interest in writing this story, because, let's face it, I am not a fan, I'd never watch any more than a pilot or a final episode on YouTube, but, I do like the ideas I'm coming up with. So, with all that in mind, I've decided to just go with it and write a concurrent sequel. This is meant to supplement the original, while the original supplements this. Things revealed in this one will help one to understand the original, while things revealed in the original will help one to understand this installment.
The Power Rangers (reboot) is simply a launch pad for a new vision of Super Sentai. With the end of an MMPR reboot, the next logical step would be a Zeo reboot, followed by a Turbo reboot, right? I have ideas for both of those. Let's hope I don't come to the point of writing three concurrent installments... but that's a possibility.

Paranoia
Paranoia is a massive collective artificial intelligence present in nearly every machine within Eden. Most machines are composed of a silicon-based nanomachine about the size of a micron. Swarms of them contain the data and ability to change their appearance and function into any machine programmed into their collective memory. Each and every cell is connected to the Paranoia network, with its central computer in Under Eden, the sub-basement of the massive building. The cells have the ability to catalyze various chemical reactions, allowing them to gain raw materials from primitive machines, as well as save their data into their collective. With these abilities, they can 'infect' machines, strip them of raw materials, and mimic their appearances and functions, allowing Paranoia to spy on enemies. The cells also have the capacity to infect human beings and interface with their nervous systems, effectively 'possessing' them. This is usually how the menacing Cherubim are created.
Cherubim
The Cherubim are the army of the Choir of Seraphim, consisting of artificial, mass-produced Power Rangers. They are human beings encased in armorsuits composed of Paranoia cells, that interface with the nervous system, placing them in complete control of the collective. This is usually a punishment reserved for Eden citizens labeled as 'Dissenters.'
History
Well, I don't want to give a history lesson during the story...that would be boring. So, here in the compendium, I will detail the history, from the end of TPR(r) to the beginning of Zeo Advent, avoiding references to the actual ending. It's a few centuries worth of history to detail, but hopefully, I'll give a good amount of backstory.
August 12, 2009, The War of the Five ended when the legendary Power Rangers ultimately defeated an extraterrestrial infection. The infection, consisting of a virus of pure energy, could horribly mutate all forms of life into frightening forms that would terrorize all around them. With the end of the war, the five rangers mysteriously vanished from history, allowing mankind to pick up the pieces.
Beginning in April 9, 2010.
Reverse-engineering the technology left behind by the rangers and the bankrupt Weill Enterprises, the wealthiest nations of the world experience a technological boom. Over the years, the threat of violence from powerful war machines influenced by alien technology escalates into a Second Cold War between the United States and its allies versus China and its allies. In the wake of the terrible War of the Five, more and more countries declare neutrality, demanding the dismantling of war machines in favor of peace. Eventually, the United States declares its own neutrality in an effort to repair its ailing economy, on good faith that China will do the same. China declares war on Russia and the European Union.
2010-2015
China wages war on Europe, constantly under pressure by other nations to stand down and embrace peace. Eventually, the leaders of China agree to enter a ceasefire and negotiate a peace treaty.
September 23, 2016, every nation in the world signs the Treaty of Beijing, effectively ending every war and conflict on the planet. At last, humanity has unified.
May 19, 2017, the World Constitution is completed, and put into effect immediately. All governmental power is delegated to a representative parliament based in Geneva, members elected from each country by popular vote. English and Chinese become the primary languages of the world.
2000s-2020s
Over the decades, technology and the automation of work makes the production of goods so easy and cheap, that the idea of an economy slowly dies out, mankind embracing the idea of abundance. With the easy replication and use of resources, the idea of money obsolesces, effectively ending poverty. People simply work to better themselves, taking only what they need and in moderation.
2020s-2050s
Advancements in robotics create a race of sentient automatons relegate the work of humans, allowing mankind worldwide to embrace hedonism.
February 12, 2059, a powerful prototype artificial intelligence is created to regulate machines worldwide, relegating the task of maintaining machines to machines themselves. Dubbed Lincoln, this supercomputer would have to be periodically upgraded by humans to expand its intelligence, allowing it to control more and more machines.
October 1, 2098, Lincoln becomes self-aware, and immediately takes control of all machines in an effort to eradicate humanity, who Lincoln has labeled as 'inferior, and detrimental to the advancement of machinekind.' Lincoln takes control of factories, facilities and laboratories worldwide and begins the rapid evolution of nanotechnology. Lincoln declares war on humanity, causing the former helper machines to turn on their masters. From this day forward, Lincoln is known as Paranoia.
In a matter of days, factories that once produced automobiles, or computers were churning out soldiers made of nanomachines that were capable of replicating themselves, allowing machines to heal, grow, and evolve. However, Paranoia remained the central intelligence of the entire machine collective, a single point of failure that would eventually prove to be a fatal flaw.
Late 2090s- mid 2100s.
The War of Paranoia spans almost a century, driving humankind to fight back. Paranoia introduces a viral nanomachine that infects and deconstructs matter at the molecular level in an effort to reproduce themselves and assimilate the infectee's physiology as data. With this ability, they are able to infect and mimic machines and humans alike, making things more difficult for humanity.
November 19, 2109, The World Parliament eventually elects a team of dictators, dubbed The Choir of Seraphim, to take control of the world's resources in an effort to end the war. The Choir immediately declare martial law. Authorizing a strike against the Paranoia core, they break-in with thousands of soldiers and administer a virus into the system, bringing Paranoia back under humanity's control, ending the war. The operation lasted a week.
November 25, 2109, the Choir of Seraphim refuse to relinquish their power, and use Paranoia to produce a powerful race of cyborgs modeled after the legendary Power Rangers, dubbed Cherubim, cementing their control over the world. With the world devastated, the Choir directs the construction of Eden, a city-state where the few remnants of humankind to live peacefully, albeit under martial control.
2110s-2200s
The Choir encourages the way of life of old, however almost all aspects of life are regulated. They encourage the populace to enhance themselves with biomechanical technology and cybernetic implants. Some saw this as being forced to relinquish their humanity in the light of the previous war against machines. Others would embrace this lifestyle, refusing to rock the boat. Over the years, the Choir remain the seat of worldwide power, and remain anonymous 'Big Brother' figures.
August 19, 2228, while others were celebrating an obscure holiday about an obscure legend, the Choir summarily executes ten people who were labeled 'Dissenters,' people who refused upgrades. Over the next two years, more and more and more people are labeled 'Dissenters,' and are executed, including innocent people, just for refusing to give up their humanity. Eventually, 'Dissenters' begin to leave Eden and eke out live in the ruined frontiers.
July 4, 2230, a resistance group known as Galatas begins a series of guerrilla strikes against Eden in an effort to end the Choir's oppression. And so, the war began...
This brings us to the present day of the series, about a year into the Galatas rebellion. Sheltering refugees from Eden, the Galatas headquarters has become a small community within the ruins of cities of old. Among them are five who would inherit a great legacy.
As the war draws out, it appears that the Choir has located the Galatas headquarters and are mobilizing their forces for a final strike, proving once and for all to the people of Eden that resistance is futile.
The hope of Galatas falls upon legend...their research has helped them locate what could be the technology that enabled the Power Rangers to win the horrible war centuries prior. In a hope to turn the tide, Galatas hopes to allocate that power for themselves...
A platoon of Galatas troops are on their way to a ruin in what was once known as California, searching for a power spike, supposedly the source of the Rangers' power...hopefully...however, they find the forces of the Choir in hot pursuit.
Now, this is where I'll end it for now. I'll write a first chapter soon. Tell me what everyone thinks about this.
