Hey might as well me be who interview's you since I've done it loads Orange XD
Hope you have fun :D

This interview should be completed within a week, but at the same time there are a few situations that may cause delay in completion. These situations include school, work, family events, emergencies, computer problems, etc. If one occurs just let me know through this thread or via Private Message, and we can continue this interview on a later date. I will let you know if anything in my life comes up as well.

Note that personal questions will not be asked in this interview.

I think I have covered everything so let us begin.

Your username; can you tell everyone the origin of your name? How you came up with it? Does it have a meaning to fan fic, or character you made up, or someone in Power Rangers?

oh yeah! loads pinkranger! nice to see you taking my interview

first of all I apologise for taking like 3 weeks to start my interview...really sorry about that.

over to the question...my username

well....on the whole of power rangers the ninja powers appeared to have stood out a lot to me a lot. Well passing over the fact that a movie was made on them too.
so i tried to make a name on one of the colors not used and zords not used...orange was my fav color, it still is but not my top though :p, so i choose orange and falcon just came out cause at that time close to 2 years ago no other suitable animal stood out to pick it as a zord for ninja. so it became orangefalcon.

There have been quite a few baord changes where i could've changed my name but it stuck...even now when i joined the board after its recent change this year orangefalcon or as people call me Orange or OF stuck.

Haha awesome..-.- No I'm not having identity issues..Blondy's away atm for some personal issues so I'm taking over until she comes back..

Name your top 5 favorite seasons of Power Rangers. Why are they your favorites? Did you like the villain's for these seasons? Is there anything you might slightly change about it?
If you do not have a top 5, list as many of your favorites as possible.

now this is a pleasant surprise anahi...lol thanks for taking over though...:D

Well....my favorite seasons...they changed from last time though...a little

1. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 3

I loved season 3 a lot...mainly because of the ninja powers, the zords, the shoguns, alien rangers, ninjor, dulcea(the MMPR movie) and all. Though I am not an avid Tommy-Kim supporter, but I liked how it became tommy-kat(I supported that). Also the eovlution from MMPR S3 - Zeo was awesome. Also i liked the concept of Zedd-Rita-Master Vile-Rito.

2. Power Rangers Turbo

I liked turbo for the reason that it was cool. The zords, weapons, the command center(or power chamber which i think it was called) and everything. Though I preferred Tommy-Kat-Adam-Tanya to T.J.-Cassie-Carlos-Ashley, I didn't actually mind the entire season.

3. Mystic Force & Lost Galaxy

PRMF - I have always been a great supporter of the zordon era rangers, but mystic force really stuck out to me...the powers were awesome, so were the zords. I felt this season after quite a few seasons had the potential which could have been utilised to make it a better season.

PRLG - Lost Galaxy was one of the favorites too. One reason was Alpha(need i say anymore ;)) and the others were the zords, powers and the far-fetched concept ot Terra Venture alone.

4. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 2

The only thing I liked was Lord Zedd and the thunderzords..not to mention Tor. I was okay with Tommy as white but he didn't really impress me. It did take a while for Rocky-Adam-Aisha to grow on me too.

5. Power Rangers Operation Overdrive and Power Rangers Zeo

PROO - OO was a ncie season. A lot of zords and very nice concept of the corona aurora. I liked the sentinel knight as well, he brough back memories of Trey, Blue Centurion and Phantom Ranger.

PRZ - Zeo was one of my top 3 favorite seasons, but now has slipped down to number 5. I felt in terms of cast and everything, Zeo had a better chance than Turbo; But I found Turbo having a stronger plot and firmer episodes than Zeo. I mean the Zeo-Turbo Transition was very very low profile and Zeo ending wasn't proper at all...this really made me sad and made it drop down on my fav list

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1 is always my favorite and hence is not on the list

Hope I answered your question fine Anahi. :)

:p awesome..and yep you did

In Power Rangers, we are seeing a lot more Rangers with genetic powers, which one that appeared in the show would you want and why? What would you do with it? Would you use it for personal gain? Would you tell anyone about your gift?

Orangefalcon
10-29-2008, 07:20 PM
Well the disney era seems to have a lot of Nature / genetic powers. I'd rather go for powers of nature, but in genetic...specifically I like the prospect of having Sky's power for forcefield. I like the effect of that, plus it reminds of Jean Gray's power in the XMen series which I love too

Pinkranger
10-31-2008, 12:25 AM
X-men is cool! Hey Orange I am back once more, hope your all doing well :D

Out of all the Rangers who is your favorite and why what is so great about them? Did they do anything that you really liked about them more? Would you change anything about them?

Orangefalcon
11-03-2008, 09:18 AM
hey again pinkranger! nice to see you back. and yeah XMen is definately cool. ^_^

Over to the question...

I liked quite a few rangers, almost one from each season...but particularly I liked Jason(no I"m not gay! :p)

Well, for one thing he was the original Red ranger and that set him apart primarily for me. He was shown as a natural leader, one with ability, command and you know thoughts-to-do-right-things-at-right-times type. I felt that he was better with Kimberly rather than Tommy-Kimberly. And I felt rocky was a much better Blue Zeo than Red MM, probably because he was filling in someone's shoes in MMPR while in Zeo he was a new guy in the blue zeo shoes. Jason should've been till the end of MMPR as red and then been gold zeo. I also liked him being a part of the PR series all the way till the turbo movie. sweet

Pinkranger
11-05-2008, 01:44 PM
lol Nothing wrong with liking Jason he was great. He was tough and a good leader and never backed down in a fight.

Do you watch any Sentai? If so do you like to watch some before a new season of PR starts? Which Sentai seasons have you seen? What is there about Sentai that you like that you wished they would do in PR?
If you have not seen any Sentai, would you like to? If not, why?

Orangefalcon
11-05-2008, 05:00 PM
yeah..I love jason...lol

And...about Sentai, I've seen an episode of magiranger, kakuranger VS ohranger, ohranger VS carranger and an episode of dairanger. But because I saw ones which were in japanese(without english subtitles) I couldn't exactly understand what was happening, so it seemed silly. But when I began reading the synoposi and the episode descriptions of all the sentai in supersentai.com(credit to the admins and mike and anyone else involved in it) I felt some seasons had maturity on a larger scale compared to their PRU counterparts and again some were plain sillier like Dekaranger and Carranger. I personally liked the family factor in magiranger, thats something we can never have so its nice. And also the fact that sentai is popular restricting its shooting spots to Japan and actors to the Japan-China coast is very very nice. Also the fact that they spread their culture through that is awesome.

Another thing that I like in sentai is the different concepts they use, besides the fact that they are original, but then again some concepts repeat a lot. One thing I personally hated about Timeranger-PRTF as that PRTF seemed to be a direct copy of Timeranger(no offense Pinkranger). I know that the storyline of timeranger must've forced PRTF to go along the same lines, but like the differences which saban and disney could bring out from Toei in terms of PROO and PRZ and MMAR, it could've been there.

Thats all! :)

Pinkranger
11-06-2008, 11:49 PM
lol I have seen timeranger so yeah I know what you mean....prefere Time Force though...ending is different what happens to the rangers even...so they did try to make it different lol

What is the earliest Power Rangers memory you have? Was it watching the show? Getting some PR merchandise? What was it that made you keep watching?

Orangefalcon
11-08-2008, 05:22 PM
Well, basically since I'm from India, Sentai nor Power Rangers was quite well known in India. My earliest memories were infact two memories.

1. Was when I was four years old, I moved to a place called Chennai(the then metropolitan city of south india, the nearest metro to where I was living) and my parents bought me and my sister Power Ranger toys - they weren't much though but were just these mighty morphin power ranger morphin toys(the heads flip from morph to unmorph) unfortunately they got me trini while my sister got kimberly, the lack of the skirt made my parents assume the yellow was a guy...lol

2. My second would be when I was five and moved to the US(St. Louis, Missouri to be precise) my english wasn't very good, so I used to watch a lot of TV to improve my english and me and my sister got caught to Power Rangers, which was our actual first superhero show, so all that seemed very new and catchy to us - 2 five year olds - so there you have it and the journey began then, MMPR- half season PRiS was in the US from 1995-1999( I know technically that it was LG season in 1999, but halfway through PRiS we stopped for some reason I can't remember) and

Then came my joy when in the year 2003 I believe surprisingly PRWF started in my country, in my city but unfortunately in a local dialect which amused me to every end possible, but I still saw it though and soon went on with the other seasons, though I'm attached to WF in a weird way because technically it brought me back to the PRU

So it was like while PRWF and PRNS and later PRDT, PRSPD, PRMF, PROO aired in the 4:30-5:30 evening slot on weekdays, PRLG and then PRLSR and PRTF used to air in the 4-6 evening slot. Currently PROO has ended and we are somewhere in the tenth episode I believe of PRJF when I checked last...so we're just like a month or two behind the actual progress of the seasons...so there you go!

Pinkranger
11-08-2008, 11:09 PM
I remeber the flip head toys! They where cool.....
I liked your answere its interesting as we get to know more about you and your history as well, how your life was at the time. Power Rangers helped with English who would have thought of it lol

SPD gave us our first female red ranger, yet she was evil. What are your thoughts and feelings of having a female red ranger leading the main team? Leading the side of good. What are your thoughts and feeling of having a female lead the main team for an entire season? Would you like to see another female red ranger? Do you think having one would go well with the fans? Do you think it would go well with the marketed audience (little kids)? Do you think it would go well with hard core fans (members of discussion boards)? Do you think Disney should make the next red ranger female even though in Sentai the ranger is male? Do you think they should wait for Sentai? Explain.

Orangefalcon
11-11-2008, 06:30 AM
Well, I remember I had a question like that about the pink/white rangers and went crazy posting that question and other questions in the interview center back in early 2006, I remember getting warnings for that...lol

Well, I'm never prejudiced. We had a red ranger as a female, which is what counts, not whether she is evil or not. Charlie led the team even when her team was evil, and passing over where her and her team's loyalty lay, she did have leadership skills. That should be enough to prove that girls can lead the team.

But, to my sorrow every kid who sees power rangers sees the red as the leader, the pink as the damsel in distress and the blue, green/black, yellow rangers as extras. I'm saying this because that's what is seemed to me back when I was five years old and I started seeing power rangers. I don't blame anyone for saying that because almost all the time it was projected like that. At the beginning of almost all the seasons(Whether Disney or Saban) the Red Ranger was projected as a macho character who assumes leadership automatically and you know...makes no mistakes and trust me, it is how the rest of the season is judged.

No one remembers how Trini and most importantly Kimberly fought monsters and putties on their own, how Kimberly in Season one had killed 3 monsters on her own while her teammates were helpless, or how Aisha fought the fire monster in season two with vim on her own. All people remember are how any times Kimberly yelled "tommmmaaay" or how any times the guys had to help the girls - Kim and Aisha - in the power ranger movie.

Kim, Kat, Trini, Aisha, Tanya, Delphine, Cassie, Ashley, Karone, Kendrix, Maya, Kelsey, Dana, Jen, Katie, Taylor, Alyssa, Kira, Tori, Syd, Z, Madison, Vida, Ronnie, Rose, all were rangers who showed their true capacity at times. While we members cherish how Kimberly showed her leadership skills in Season three, how she gave up her powers for Kat, how trini was almost like a second-in-command in season one, how aisha gave up her powers for Tanya, How Kat fought on her own in Zeo and Turbo, how tanya and kat passed on their powers to cassie and Ashley, how cassie and ashley went to space with the others and were a part of a seven year war, how kendrix gave up her life for cassie and how karone took her place.

When Kimberly and Trini were almost leaders in Season Three and One ; When Kat and Tanya were very strong in Turbo ; How cassie and Ashley evolved from Turbo to PRiS ; How Kendrix and Maya proved to be true rangers ; And how Delphine was a leader defying all laws at that time saying that males and Red rangers were leaders.

What we forget is that in the second half of season two and season three, Tommy the white ranger was the leader. That in seasons like PRLG, Maya and in PRWF, Taylor were almost the leaders, that in seasons like PRTF, Jen was the leader and that in seasons like PRNS and PRDT we had only one girl in the team...

...Leaders are not born; they're made, made not on basis of gender or the color of power they possess but on the level of maturity, their command on situations. This is one reason why I hated SPD. One cannot be a leader always, others emerge and they mustn't be trod down upon.

I believe that while we, hard core fans and other who have been with PRU since its emergence can understand reasons and hence can digest and support PR if a female Red emerges once again in a full season or another colored female ranger emerges to be a leader actually for a full season, but the kids, or fan or people who have stuck to the red ranger philosophy since the beginning or from when they've been with PR cannot.

And when PRU has defied Sentai and made all the yellow rangers in season like MMPR, LG, LSR, TF, WF female, and created a sixth ranger for LSR, why should we wait for Sentai. I believe SPD didn't have an A-Squad counterpart in Sentai, and still they went with it even if it was for hardly the last few episodes. I firmly believe that PRU can live with changes made from its Sentai counterpart and that a female Red or Female leader in PRU have and can survive in the past, present or for future seasons and generations of rangers.

*sorry if that was long, but I had to get all of it off my chest, that was one question I had been thinking of for a very long time, even before I joined rangertalk in july 2006*

Wow what an answere, you really have been saving that, You know I can hardly remeber season 3 of MMPR the examples you said and all, when that season was on I was in and out of PR didn't watch it, so didn't know some of that....makes me want to go back now and watch it

Did you like the fact of the original rangers leaving? Did it make you sad to see them go? Or were you happy about it? What did you think of the replacements? And what did you think about the rest leaving in later on in Turbo? What are your thoughts about this?

Thanks, yeah I was saving that...lol. And yep, go back and watch it, you could be surprised to see things you haven't noticed before in them.

Did you like the fact of the original rangers leaving?

Well, When I don't remember seeing those episodes, cause I used to see random episodes of PR when I started, back in 1995. But I do remember those episodes when I saw them through youtube around 3 years ago. I was sad, cause I felt that Jason, Kim, Trini, Zach and Billy belonged to the team and that the season was theirs. But later on I realised that technically the season changed and with the changes of zords and stuff, this was one change too. I anticipated the change cause like ever since aisha, rocky and adam came into the picture, Jason, Zach and Trini started disappearing from the picture. I didn't exactly hate rocky, adam or aisha but I was happy that the three ex rangers(Jason, Zach and Trini) were there for atleast half a season in the thunder powers.

Out of rocky, Adam and Aisha, Adam grew on me..a lot. Personally I liked Adam more than Zach even though Zach holds a place to me as a member of the original team. Rocky seemed immature, I mean Jason was a great leader and a great red ranger and Rocky was definately not suited for that color. I liked it better when Rocky wasn't the second-in-command like her tried to be whenever tommy wasn't around in season two. But in season three we could see Kimberly and Billy taking over. And when Kim was replaced by kat, I could see billy as the true second-in-command. So I didn't exactly hate the three new guys nor four coming to kat as well. But would've liked it if the original three would've stayed till season two was over too.

Did it make you sad to see them go?

I was sad, but it made me feel that the show needs to go on and to go on we need new people. I had to be content with it cause I knew they wouldn't come back, so being all sad and angry at SABAN wouldn't help one bit. Besides the three replacements grew on me in wierd ways eventually. :p

Or were you happy about it? What did you think of the replacements?

I was happy too cause I thought that others needed a chance too. And the replacements - well...

Adam: Personally he seemed higher on the original black ranger column than Zack. Although Zack still holds the mantle as original black ranger, I feel Adam showed more potential in it, probably because Adam was a ranger for like 3 seasons(1.5 of MMPR, 1 of zeo and 0.5 of turbo = 3 seasons) where as Zack was hardly half. And Adam like evolved the most in terms of leadership, command and character.

Aisha: I thought she was way lower than trini and didn't even hold a candle out to Trini, but eventually I felt Aisha made up for strength and skill in caring and makign the team a whole in other terms, something which was only privy(my feeling) to Kimberly till Trini left. Although Trini was like a support to everyone, a sparring partner or same skill holder with Jason and Tommy ; a partner in like understanding with Zack ; a person who shared knowledge with Billy and a friend and confident with Kimberly, Aisha didn't exactly fit the bill with that. Sure, she knew rocky and Adam and became friends with Aisha, but I felt she didn't fill the gap which Trini had with Billy and Tommy too well at all.

Rocky: He seemed a bit cocky actually(lol..rhymes). I felt rocky as a better zeo Blue than MMPR Red. Probably because I felt Jason's shoes were too big for rocky to fill, personally even though I didn't like tommy a lot, I was happy tommy was like the only leader when the replacements showed up.

Katherine: It was sudden and I felt that Kat entered into the role of pink ranger at the ending moment. Sure she showed up and filled Kim's shoes very well. I felt Katherine was a mix of Trini and Kimberly in a perfect blend. Sure, kim tried to take Trini 's place after she left, but it felt superficial, but kat filled in perfectly. And I loved her in Zeo and Turbo too. She was perfect, although I guess Kimberly should've given over to Katherine like at the time of the alien rangers instead.

And what did you think about the rest leaving in later on in Turbo? What are your thoughts about this?

I felt it was high time they left. They were a great team in Zeo, but I feel Justin ruined their chance of being a great team in Turbo too. The foursome were great in Turbo too, but with Rocky or Billy or anyone else returning, te blue ranger role would've suited better. I felt the foursome far far mature in terms of rangership or as characters than Justin. I mean those guys were like ranging from 1.5-like 4 seasons old in PR while Justin was a newbie. Justin fit in better with TJ, Carlos, Ashley and Cassie cause all of them were new then. But I liked the replacements better in PRiS. I felt Turbo would've rocked completely if there was a different Blue ranger and if the team(Tommy, Kat, Tanya, Adam, Rocky/Billy/????) would've had the season to themselves. But it felt wierd too, like as if all the originals left with zordon. Like the foursome hardly were in like 10-15 episodes after Dimitria took over, so I'm glad it stayed that way.

It made Dimitria leading a whole new team with TJ, Cassie, Carlos, Ashley and Justin better actually. Though she could've started that in PRiS, but ahh well, if I go on to change PRiS, I'll get kicked from one end of RT to the other lol.

thats all!

*sorry this was long too! :p*

You really like the old school seasons don't you :p

Which villains in Power Rangers do you like the most? Which ones do you hate the most and why? Which Villain do you think beat the rangers more then any other one? Which one do you think would have been better in another season for example the villain in SPD might have been better in IS.

Orangefalcon

You really like the old school seasons don't you :p

Well....yeah. I mean I have this strange bond with old school(MMPR-Pre Passing of Torch TURBO) for a peculiar reasons. I mean its difficult to explain. Whenever I have a concept for any other season like MF or anything else for a fan-fic, my mind and the story both come back to old-school somewhere, lol(And I'll mention my concepts somewhere during my interview or outside it, I have some about TF in one story and I know you'll be interested to know the fate and storyline of TF in my fic and imagination, lol)

Which villains in Power Rangers do you like the most? Which ones do you hate the most and why?

Well, I liked Zedd and Rita, in MMPR season 3. They were goofy and plus the had Master Vile and Rito for company, though some people tend to feel that the terror which Rita and Zedd supposedly brought in Season 1 and Season 2 was like tarnished completely by the way they changed in Season 3, but I don't find that so true.

Divatox was another, she was funny when she was funny and serious when she was serious. I liked her one-liners in the Turbo Ranger Movie as well.

Astronema / Karone is one on my list as well. She was like super cool. She was human for one and another was you know kind of a ranger ally then and she became a villain, so it was like somebody from the ranger camp being a villain, I think that was a setback for evil rangers.

Scorpina was one fighter in my list. I felt she was true warrior. I mean she gave the rangers a run for their money quite sometimes, more than Goldar did.

Koragg was like awesome too, like the way with Astronema, I liked how subtle hints were given on him actually belonging to the ranger camp and his honor, that was definately one thing we didn't see with anyone else.

Ahhh...Lothor, same as divatox, actually the first time I saw him, I thought he imbibed the spirit of divatoz or something.

But out of these villains who stood out to me, I'd go for Astronema with Scorpina and Koragg a close second and third.

Which Villain do you think beat the rangers more then any other one?

I'd say, um...Scorpina and Koragg. Lothor techincally didn't beat the rangers so much, and no I'm not talking in terms of hand-to-hand combat, I'm even talking monster or minion wise too. I don't exactly remember many episodes from PRiS, so I don't know if Astronema actually did beat them so many times, so she's off my list on the many times matter.

Which one do you think would have been better in another season for example the villain in SPD might have been better in IS.

I'd say, Koragg should've been like in PRLG or in the original season(MMPR-Turbo) *grins, can't shake 'em off anywhere...sorry!* I would've liked to see that. And plus in SPD, Gruumm wasn't exactly a threat to them so much untill the last few episodes, so since the storyline was so serious, I would've liked to see someone like Astronema deal with them, since I think she did beat the rangers back in PRiS - correct me if I'm wrong -

*Thats it! I think its shorter....lol :p*

Pinkranger
11-16-2008, 11:50 PM
You shorten it lol Lots of villains there all the good ones really.

Do you like when a ranger team starts off with 5 and eventually is joined by a 6th ranger? Or do you like it when a team starts with 3 and eventually is joined by two or more? Explain within detail the one you prefer

Orangefalcon
11-22-2008, 04:10 AM
I'm so sorry I'm late....

over to the question:

I like it when there are 5 members in a team and then they are joined by rangers. Even though its proven that with the core being 3 the chances of more single ranger highlight episodes and the characteristics of rangers being shown more clearly, I feel having 5 distributes the characteristics of the team - the brain, the caring member, the leader, the strategist...., they get divided easily. Plus the battles will be easier too. Ranger teams which had loads of rangers like SPD, MF and JF were definately ones that caught my eye, teams of such number just caught my eye and you know made something different to me.

What aspect of Power Rangers is your favorite? (The posing, Zords, helmets, etc?)

Orangefalcon
11-24-2008, 02:41 AM
Well....thats a toughie

I like the zords in some aspects, I mean the zords of Zeo seemed too blech compared to Turbo and so on. Personally the helmets i some cases...like the NS helmets were kool! And the loved the morphing sequences of MMPR, PRT and MF.

Pinkranger
11-26-2008, 11:48 PM
If you could create a Power Ranger season what kind of PR would you have, where would it be set, what year, what color be the leader, how many rangers? What would the villain be like?
